Writeblr Intro
So, I wasn't aware people still made or paid attention to these so HELLO!
I'm Steph, 33 from the UK. She/her, bisexual.
I've been writing since I was a kid but have been doing it more seriously for the past six years.
I mainly write angst and dark humour, though I am trying to branch out and write happier narrative. Fantasy is my favourite to write.
My current WIPs include a cosy cottagecore, an epic DND inspired fantasy, and a paranormal psychological thriller (my third contemporary piece). I also love to write poetry when the inspiration hits.
I've written two books, The Bonds That Bind Us & The Binds That Break Us, that were self-published for a while but have now been archived. It was supposed to be a trilogy but I just couldn't find the ending for it, so now everyone is just miserable and sad.
Very happy to follow and support fellow writers. I should prewarn, though, that I do suffer with anxiety and mild autism so I'm not always the most reliable communicator.

In the Labyrinth, they talk of gods.
They whisper between their fingers and sweeten their breath with the tales of titans of old who once stood so tall that a single breath would cause earth-tremors, their steps reshaping the ground trod beneath them. Their fingers were the tools that smoothed the mountains into points, shaped and carved the ridges and valleys in between. If you hike far enough, one woman claims, if you travel to a point where the oxygen is thin and your vision blacks, you can make out a partial print against the mountainside. You can run your own fingers along its length and still feel the titan’s warmth as if his palm were pressed right against yours.
The woman says, It is a thing of worship. It is a thing of devotion.
In the Labyrinth, they ask you to make you make your body anew before the King of the High Hills. They say that you are alive because you must suffer for the life and love of the Lord, that you must open your body and let him lick along your flesh so that he may taste the endlessness of his perpetual reign.
In the Labyrinth, there is no escape from his touch.
“You have a heavy burden upon you,” the headmaster was saying, teeth and eyes all a glitter under the amber cast candles. “I am not unsympathetic to the arduous path ahead of you—but please understand that this suffering must be experienced for the longevity of the king, for the beautiful life ahead of him. Only he is the one who can shed mortality and raise to the gods, because he is the only one strong enough, courageous enough, to count the cost of living forever. You must succeed where others have failed. You, this class, this is our last chance to mend what has been made broken. You must. You must.”
The Mouths of Elysium is a dark-academia fantasy created with Twine where your choices matter to the story. You live inside the Labyrinth, a maze that hates to become known with walls and paths that change every hour. The center of the Labyrinth sits a university that has been there since the beginning of time; its only purpose is to recruit students who can solve the puzzle of life, who can create an elixir that would allow the King of the High Hills to live past the length of forever. magic school coming-of-age that turns into a dystopia. and there are lesbians EVERYWHERE. basically. it covers ten years of this girl's life where she's

also lesbians! contains time shenanigans and dragons. set in a world sort of exactly like the Modern Pre-Crown World in fionna and cake. i reference this because my main lady penny is a silly little history buff and decides to go on this expedition to find more information on a lost goddess, and ends up getting entangled with time. after a long, emotional trek that goes wrong more times than it goes right. penny somehow manages to get sent thousands of years in the future when the world has been ravaged by magic and godly power. and then she meets a girl who has a dragon and a dude that does everything she says, and more shit happens!
untitled crime story (now: unorthodox methods!)
i will not stop calling it untitled crime story!!! but i had to come up with a silly and catchy title because i chose this as a premise for the feature film script i'm writing for class. but untitled crime story i'll remember you
you guessed it.... lesbians.............. but they're exes with sooo much unspoken beef and they go off-grid together anyways so neither of them get put in prison ??? it's in a world where magic is normal and a bit frowned upon, now getting out of have because there's a global shortage of the one drug that suppresses magical powers. and this girl's ex calls her one night! the fun ex---she's supposed to be fun!! but she sounds super terrified and serious and chaos ensues! lesbians running from magical authorities and having to face their very long, very loud shared history.
finally edited it! this post just doubles as my wip masterpost :) i do not feel like doing a whole new post i am just here to have fun

Writeblr Intro
Hello! My name is Kit. I am new to writeblr, but very old to tumblr. I live in the US, I'm 26 and use she/they pronouns.
I've been creeping on the tags for a while, but I finally made a blog just for writing. I'd love to share updates on what I'm writing, excerpts and talk about writing with other writers.
I'm currently writing my first novel, it's young adult high fantasy. I've written about 40,000 words in the universe, but I've recently finished a more detailed outline. So, I'm starting the real rough draft now that I know more of what I want to say.
A lot of my characters are queer and disabled, like me. I want to write books that are magical and that a lot of different people can see themselves in. I think fantasy serves as a cool conduit for imagining what the world could look like beyond a lot of the power structures we take for granted.
I'd love to follow other authors, particularly ones that are also working on longer term projects. I think it'd be cool to get feedback from people, or find other people who have been doing this longer and talk more about their thought processes. I'm open to following writers of all genres since I read them all and think there's so many cool things to learn from different styles!
Any advice on how to get started is appreciated, will be following anyone that interacts with this post.
I look forward to getting more involved in this community!

Hi my name is Lyra. (She/her) I'm 28 and I'm looking for community on here that can help keep me motivated and inspired to write stories. I also am trying to do writing prompts and stuff to improve my skills.
I have one active WIP that I aspire to publish and one science fiction worldbuilding project that I write for fun but don't actively intend to publish.
The active WIP is a cool wizards story descended from stories like Earthsea and Name of the Wind. It has a female protagonist who earns many names over the course of the story. Most importantly it is about cool wizards doing cool wizard shit but it's also about becoming the weirdo you really want to be in the face of immense social pressure to be normal. There is personal transformation as a magic thing and (imo) a cool original magic system + worldbuilding. It's sort of for kids but I'm hoping that it's accessible yet interesting enough for all ages.
My pet worldbuilding project is an exploration of what cultures might look like during the earliest phase of humanity expanding to the stars. I like trying to figure out what life on other planets might be like and what sorts of people would be on the ships that go to them.
My favorite authors are N.K Jemisin, Ursula K LeGuin and Kim Stanley Robinson. I'm also a fan of some big fantasy and sci-fi classics like Dune and Lord of the Rings. Oh and Star Trek! I like utopian fiction and I don't feel like there are many popular examples of it.
I have like 4 followers right now (shoutout to @illarian-rambling my first follower) so I will be very happy if you interact with me in any way hahaha

Emeriel had been the King of Brill's spy for most of her life. However, after she is framed for the murder of her lover, the king, and his cunning advisor Arath Soor, rope her back into being a spy in order to let her prove her innocence. However , she gets caught between two nations on the verge of war instead of proving her innocence.
Also there are multiple cats involved. One of which is a religious figure.
Genre: Fantasy mystery
Faded Daisy:
Aster lost her childhood best friend in an occult ritual gone terribly wrong eleven years ago that she swears she had nothing to do with, and ever since, she has erased her past self and all traces of her connection to the ritual, and to her friend. However, the past can't be escaped so easily, and it turns out that the ritual didn't go so wrong after all...

hello! i'm a college student who got into writing as a hobby and finally decided to make a writeblr after only privately writing for a while because i wanted to see more stories and meet more writers!
i love sci-fi and supernatural elements (especially if the supernatural is in a modern setting!!) or stories that involve reluctant protagonists, enemies to lovers, or unreliable narrators but i'll read anything and everything if it catches my interest

Reverence Project
genre: fantasy, horror
A still unnamed project that explores the consequences of worshiping normal people to literal godhood. Simon Lacoste is a quiet, shy historian who simply wants to study the Gods as a distant observer, avoiding his heavily involved religious family in the process. This is not what happens. Shortly after finding out a secret that he shouldn’t have but had no intention of sharing, Simon finds himself stuck in between power grabs and petty squabbles of the Gods. He just wanted to record history, not make it.
All Roads Lead Home
genre: action, enemies to lovers
A story about grief and self-destruction that follows Damon Miller, ex-mercenary sniper turned reckless competitive race car driver through a series of unfortunate events and an accident involving his late brother. Once he begins to put his life back together, he (wrongly) assumes that the past he tried to shove down as much as possible will stay down.
Oasis Project
genre: sci-fi
The last and least developed project, the Oasis project is a story about girl named Nedra who worked extremely hard for the prestigious position of a botanist working in the Oasis that keeps her desert kingdom alive and thriving. Heavy worldbuilding with a found family.

Hello, welcome to my writeblr! My name is Abbie and my pronouns are she/her. I am a 23 year old undergrad student pursuing a BA in English and Creative Writing. I created this blog to not only share my writing, but to engage with other writers as well!
About my writing
The genres I write most often are: Dystopian, thriller, mystery, crime fiction, and romance.
My goal as a writer is: I have been interested in beginning some sort of fantasy novel, so my goal is to try and branch out into other genres!

I have 3 cats :)

i'd love to follow some writeblr blogs, even though i don't have my projects page up atm. my name's noah, i'm 30, and i like to write horror, sci-fi, romance, fantasy, supernatural, and occasionally stuff that has to do with superpowers.
i would love to follow other people's projects because i get a kick out of commenting on other people's stuff and interacting with people and making friends.

my main current projects are:
death is the maiden: which is essentially a story of a woman from a war-torn planet summoning death, becoming death's maiden and head reaper, and eventually becoming death itself. it's kind of a comedy, fantasy, and horror somehow.
the palms universe: various stories in an au 1980s involving people who have superpowers, but keep them on the down-low (mostly) and the struggles that come with that. the main character is a character who can't die, and who's struggling with the feeling of loss and living with it. these stories are a mix of horror, psychological thrillers, and loosely noir.

Hello everyone! Probably too late to do an intro, given that I've been writing on this blog since 2017, but since I've returned after a few years away from writing, I wanted the opportunity to talk about my blog and projects completed and my upcoming plans!
I go by Avaleon everywhere else on the internet, but respond to pretty much anything, including Screaming, hey you, etc! Started this blog in my mid 20s, and aged normally into the early 30s from there. I love writing, have always loved it, but between work and life, it's definitely something that I mostly do late at night and on weekends. I love hearing from people, but I usually answer asks in bunches, and typically right before I post writing. Love hearing about other people's projects as well!
I write short stories, novellas, and occasional full length novels. I am not published, but actively working on self-publishing some of my full length works. Everything I write is posted online, I enjoy sharing my work. The main reason to self publish for me is to have physical copies for myself or anyone who might want one!

Hello, ladies and gentlemen and assorted others of Writeblr! I am R. J. Copeland, 21, he/him, and I just landed here on Tumblr not too long ago. I have been chipping away at the first entry in my fantasy novel series since September of 2022, and I joined this platform in the hopes of befriending some fellow literarily-minded folks.
What’s my deal here:
I mostly write fantasy, though I do have some sci fi on the back burner
My current serious work in progress is a fantasy novel which I intend to turn into seven books.
But what’s that WIP about? Well, it’s what you get when the author’s favorite show is The Expanse, but they clicked better with the aesthetics of the ATLA universe, plus watched The Owl House, Andor, Carnival Row, and Steven Universe. Oh and they play Paradox map games (but it’s ok because I have good politics I swear guys trust me bro)
The actual story is that of a twin brother and sister’s grand adventure across the waters of their colonized homeland, as they discover ancient cosmic beings and learn magic. But all is not well, as you might have gathered—and I don’t just mean the state actors enforcing the will of empire. A deeper threat stirs outside of the knowledge of humanity. One that may someday force a reckoning….
I also write fan fiction, of which I’m ashamed; so until it’s posted, that shit is top secret. Even though it’s not even nsfw so what am I worried about
Otherwise, I’m just looking to make some friends here. I am very hyped to meet some fellow writers!
