Hey new DC Comics fans ! I know keeping up with 80 years of continuity can be difficult so I made this to help, and show you the bullet points of DC Universe :
- Canon doesn't exist.
- The only difference between your AO3 story and the monthly Detective and Action Comics is that you aren't getting paid.
- Everything you want to be real can be.
- Santa is stronger than the whole Darkseid's army, he get througt his defense every year to give him coal.
- Alfred and Ma Kent teaming up is a threat even the Suicide Squad is afraid to dealing with.
- Marvel and DC are too afraid making them teaming up with Aunt May. Cowards.
- Wonder Woman's forearms protections are actually restraining her power, without it's not known if even Superman could match her.

First off they would be obsessed.
They absolutely love it if you use your webs and they would try to convince you to use them more often just so they could gawpe at them.
Sometimes they would try and convince you to use them for things outside of patrol.
like one time, they convinced you to stick Dami to the ceiling when he was being annoying.
or another time they made you web the lock on the front door so that Bruce, who was injured and supposed to be on bed rest, would stop trying to sneak out.
They thought it was a pretty neat trick.
Often, the boys would try and get you to help train them to move across the city like you did with their grappling hooks.
They would never admit it but they were secretly jealous of you agility.
If you were on patrol with them and suddenly went missing, they were sure to find you swinging above the rooftops halfway across the city.
You moved fast.
At first it would be a little strange being the only spider in a family of birds.
Some might have said that a spider should fall prey to a bird, but living with the Waynes was nothing like that at all.
They were kind, welcoming and always there to accomodate your needs.

Consider: I smush the batfamily together with Tony and Peter, but instead of Tony and Bruce hating each other or being long lost relatives or whatever, their adoption instincts kick in.
Tony wants to adopt a 28yo Bruce. (Oh my god another orphaned science genius.) Bruce wants to adopt a 15yo Peter. (Oh my god another feral acrobat child.) Peter just vibes with Dick for a bit in the background, blow something up, etc. Pepper and Alfred have tea.
I just like the visual of Tony seeing a big brooding Batman (even MORE points if it’s Battinson) and going “baby, he is my baby now” and Bruce being slightly (very) offended

One of the weird things about moving from reading primarily MCU Spiderman fics to (almost exclusively) Batfamily fics is the distinct lack of the fight ring trope. I must've read a dozen or more 'kidnapped into a fighting ring' fics featuring Spidey, but I've only read one DC one.
I don't know, maybe I've just managed to miss them every time, but it's kinda interesting to see what tropes are favored in different fandoms.

i want to see a game like the batman telltale series featuring the entire bat-family, not only because i want the bat-family to get represented in its entirety more often outside of comics and i think a more story-driven game would be great for letting their characters and interpersonal dynamics shine, but also because i want to see the whole family comically get wrecked whenever i fail the quick time events, spider-man web of shadows style
