Was watching a video earlier talking about the loner trope and how it works in fiction and the all the different variations of it when I had the sudden realization that Alastor is a shoe in for this trope.

Like, Alastor is the Loner and Niffty is his Companion/Sidekick/insert childlike character here who’s on a journey with loner trope that said loner is soft for.

He spends most of the episodes doing his own thing, and we always see him as, while a part of the group, apart from the group.

Even his past relationships reflects this somewhat. He comes and goes into their lives as he pleases. Sometimes they’ll seek him out, and other times he’ll seek them out. But (and this is also based on how I read Niffty’s “I really like them!” As “can we stay/keep them?”) he never stays for long, or over stays his welcome. Never really in one place long enough for him to set his roots.

But now something’s keeping him at the hotel. And he can’t just leave like he’d want to. And he’s developing an attachment with the other members of the hotel, and it definitely wasn’t in his agenda to actually like any of the people there that he didn’t already know. But being at the hotel is Different. You can’t help but grow fond of the people you watch grow and develop together.

And this is what I mean by “wanting Alastor to be dragged kicking and screaming into the found family”.

Because there’s just something so satisfying watching a character who’s usually depicted as a lone wolf and who wants to stay a lone wolf developing bonds and attachments that they weren’t expecting and then being forced to Deal With It. Maybe somewhere along the way acknowledging that yes, they actually do care for these idiots, and having that thought or realization tear them up inside because they can’t afford to care and—

All this to say, GET FOUND FAMILY’D IDIOT.

Into the Lupo-verse

First row: We got our boy, the OG 14 yr old Lupo with his default look. All the other variants to the right of him are essentially how he looks when he’s older. Like 16-20+. He sports various twist hairstyles and some piercings that resemble a lot like Hazel’s. I don’t see him wearing other hair accessories other than his headband unless it’s for specific occasions

Second row: Third Eye Lupo AU w/ and w/o headband. Lupo's headband here has an eye pattern. Some say it's redundant......anyways the others next to them are older Lupo in this AU that also wear twists and piercings. I would say he doesn't really have twists cover his forehead on the account of the eye situation

Third row: We got Mercenary 23 Lupo, 23 for short. Has a much shorter and jagged hairstyle compared to the rest. He also has the Ryoma scarf because I love that scarf, it defies the laws of gravity. He sadly has a lil scar on his lip 😔. On the last end to the very right is Bad Timeline Lupo. Pretty much looks the same as OG, it’s just he doesn’t change his hair all too much when gets older. Just gets the one twist on the left side. He also doesn’t get piercings, he usually wears the scouter anyways. BT Lupo tends to share the same eye shape as 16 yr old Yamcha, mainly because he is very tired. His headband is a lot longer than the others too. Also I didn’t feel like drawing it but this Lupo has a mechanical arm……on the center we have The Aether. Very fancy guy that has his carnival themed mask. His headband has two large feather accessories placed on either side, and on the center is a lotus shaped pendant. He has a sparkly transparent silk scarf floating around him too. Very appropriate for a god, how’d he get up there?

And that’s about all the variants I can’t think of aside from 1 I’m not sharing

What possessed me to write this? BoO. Nico opening the door and thinking it was Will, only to be disappointed when it was Jason.

Finished my second con!

Today was sooo exhausting and my feet are so sore but I really enjoyed the day. I got to hang out with my best friend and I also met her friend who was so supportive of our business. We were able to sell our stickers and prints and long story short, the day ended better than how it started. So here is a doodle of me and good ol’ Wesker.

he's slotted between your legs with his arms around your torso. you're balancing a book on his head: elemental slimes and their applications. it's hefty but the weight reassures him for some reason, proves to him that your existence isn't some figment of his imagination— you're real and holding him like he's some kind of sacred treasure.

one of your hands is in his hair, mindlessly twirling and combing through it. the other is pulling him closer to your body by the back of the neck, effectively squishing him against you.

"did you know that dendro slime flowers taste bitter?" he only hums in response, eyes growing heavy with sleep. his lack of a proper answer tells you all you need to know. the book atop his head closes and is exchanged with your lips, pressing gentle kisses down to his forehead as you peel him away from you to settle into bed.

all the thoughts that would usually keep him up are replaced only by you. you and your warm hands, soft kisses and excerpts from the book you're reading.

he falls asleep before you can even turn the lamp off.
