I saw this post the other day and haven’t been able to find it again, but it was basically saying that Lancelot and Merlin commit actually the stupidest identity fraud ever in 1x05 because given they had to make Lancelot a member of the nobility and went for making him part of a family with 4 sons already there was actually a pretty good chance one of them might have been at court or even a knight themselves who could have very easily been like “wtf you mean? I’ve never seen this guy before in my life?”

And while I think that’s a good point hear me out, the opposite happens.

The, IDK, 3rd son of Lord Whomever of the Place, finds out one day that his little brother is competing to be a knight. He thinks it’s weird they haven’t come to see him for advice since he’s already a knight, but little brothers can be touchy about making their own way so whatever. Then he actually sees Lancelot and does immediately realize “yeah okay. Not my brother.” And he’s totally prepped to tell someone about it, but then this guy claiming to be his little brother fights Arthur and absolutely kicks his ass.

That’s freaking impressive. No one ever does that (as we see in the episode) and it’s hilarious. 3rd son starts thinking maybe he just doesn’t have to tell anyone just yet….

Lancelot has his knighting ceremony and throughout the evening people keep congratulating Terry (that’s what I’m calling 3rd son now) and saying he must be super proud of his little brother and Terry just nods and smiles and generally emulated the Penguins of Madagascar and wondering how to get close enough to his “brother” to hash this out and maybe make a plan, but the man is surrounded by well wishers all evening and the Prince seems to have decided this guy is his best friend and is Lady Morganatic flirting??? So you leave it and figure you can wait until tomorrow…

Then the next morning when every Knight is still incredibly hungover The King makes you all show up to a special hearing about identity fraud and accuses this dude of being an imposter and Terry has literally never met him but being yelled at incredibly sucks and this guy has floppy hero hair and huge brown puppy eyes and he did pass all the knighting tests and Terry already has a ton of brothers and also he might still be a little drunk and before he knows it he’s out in the middle of the room going “Excuse me your majesty, but I think I would know best how many brothers I have. I must say I do not appreciate you yelling at my precious baby brother Linus-“

“Lancelot” The Prince’s man servant says on a cough.

“Lancelot,” Terry corrects. “Right. That’s what I meant.”

And from that moment on just absolutely 110% commits to the lie that Lancelot is absolutely and completely his youngest brother and no he will not be taking questions at this time. He gets bros 1, 2, and 4 in on it. 1 just thinks it’s too late to course correct and thinks the family can maximize on Lancelot’s popularity and chooses that over endangering their reputation by now revealing Terry lied. 2 just thinks the whole thing is hilarious and 4 likes not being the youngest. Lord Whomever is about the Kings Age and is at that stage certain older people get to where they just don’t give a shit and are down for some chaos so he just absolutely perpetuates this whole thing.

The King asks him about it and the Lord is like “What do you mean suspicious. I absolutely and completely have a fifth son in his twenties. Lucious really does make us all so proud what with the Griffin slaying and all.”

“He claims his name is Lancelot.”

“My memory is going in my old age and I have 5 sons. You can’t expect me to keep all the names straight King Igor.”

“My name is Uthor.”

“Is it?”

And Lancelot just gets fully absorbed in to the family utterly without realizing it. He has no idea what it means to be in a family structure like this and he can’t stand how much danger he’s putting this family in and is just agonizing especially because he finds it so nice and then Terry is like “Pack a bag and put in for some leave. Our little sisters want to meet you and one has a birthday coming up.” And it’s soft and sweet and Lancelot let’s them put a flower crown on him which makes him the immediate favorite of the little girls and he gets to go to a real home sometimes and still meets Percival sometime in there and then all the other knights and Merlin and Gwen and Morgana have a family structure to rely on more extensive than just Gaius, less evil than Morgose, and more supportive than Uthor

And narratively Lancelot gets to be in all the episodes and doesn’t get killed off and he’s around for whatever romance dynamic you wanna put him in because I swear Santiago Cabrera could manage romantic chemistry with a brick wall if he had it for a scene partner so anything goes and it’s all because Terry the 3rd Son of Lord Eldridge of the House of Northumberland (all that might be wrong) decided to pull a Mandalorian before it was cool and do some on the spot freeform adoption

"Hermit craft" and other ccs because they are cool. STAR WARS AU (I think imma do different ones depending on like Prequels, Sequels, and Present or whatever it's called yk, droids, Vader and Kylo)...? Unsure I'm just doing Vader now.

*Cries in the amount of research I'm going to have to do*

Xiuma and Mumbo -> def mechanics, ships repairing, Mumbo never drove any of his fucking ships, he would suck as a pilot, Xiuma is good at it tho!

Grian -> one of the best, if not the best pilot in the galaxy -> does bro have the force? Yuh, does he know or use it? Nuh uh also Pearl's sibling, they got separated when little.

Scar -> co-pilot of Grian, has a motored wheelchair, he's the most curious one out of the two. He is the one that tells Grian to do something and join the rebellion.

Doc ->maybe some imperial scientist of some kind???? He scares me.

Scott... You scare me but! Leader potential? Scavenging with Cleo, Scott -> the brain, Cleo -> them muscles, she's a skilled blaster fighter, possibly Mandalorian..? We're there mandalorians of that species....?????Cleo is a Togruta def.

Pearl -> definitely started off as a Padawan, sister of Grian -> = older (aka, yes the gist of "mf is too old to be trained, but his sister ain't, YOINK"), yeah he was not pleased. Pearl basic doesn't remember him, like, she knows she has a brother somewhere, but yk. Yeah so, Master dies, obviously 🙄, cause you know order 66, still debating who that should be... Uhhhhh Maybe Impulse? Yes you're dying boi. Be sad. Someone has to. So yeah, she escapes, and then I'm going to presume she's going in hiding... With another surviving Padawan... Maybe Gem, yeah. Yeah shiny duo why not. So they go into hiding, they survive by themselves, somehow, a bit of thievery never hurt anyone... Oh wait.

Anyway happiness doesn't last.

Bye bye Pearl, to get captured and become a sith you gooo.

Sorry Gem <\3 you'll see each other again.

While Pearl is "busy" turning to the Darkside and Just not having s good time, Gem joins the rebels, not revealing her past, he's lightsaber was broken during her qnd Pearl's escape after all. She does still have her Kyber cristal (green..? They focus more on defending to my knowledge, plus healing? Something like that) Pearl's used to be blue.

So yeah, Gem joins the rebels, where she does missions here and there and meets people like Tango.

Tango -> Pilot, and one of the leaders of a small squad that usually does ambushes to the Empire. (This is due to how fucking mental this guy was with EVERYTHING last season, he deserves to have a leading and planning spot)

Etho is a spy for the rebels. No questions asked. He is. Why? Don't exactly know...? He gives me spy vibes. Mf works for the Empire but is a double agent.

Joel and Lizzie have a bar where they try to keep it neutral, they don't enjoy the empire but don't want to risk loosing what they have to actively fight. They do hide rebels from time to time and share some rations. They know Tango, since he's the one who usually contacts them and also hid there a couple of times. They also know Etho since he goes there whenever he's dispatched to the planet.

Yes. The "Etho stop being obsessed with me" joke lives on.

Now... Owen. You sir. Terrify me. You're very scary as a villain but very adorable as a hero which you know what that means.

BETRAYAL.

Nobody suspects the nice mechanic and co-pilot to be an imperial spy... Definitely didn't install a tracker on the ship AND the droid.

Grian and scar + Cleo and Scott + Etho, Gem, Owen all know each other.

Cleo and Scott do not care to join the rebellion and probably never will.

Scar convinces Grian to help.

Etho squad and Scott team have often had fights because of one stealing stuff before the other.

Joey is a pirate with Sausage, Skizz and Martyn. The often had fights with literally all of the other teams.

Ren -> imperial general.

Jimmy -> you know what..? Bounty hunter. And you may think. Jimmy..? A bounty hunter? Bro u cray cray, Nuh uh. Listen. Listen. He's not HORRIBLE at his job, he's not super great either. But he does get enough cash to survive.

Now. Who has a bounty on them..?

Literally everyone I mentioned tbh-

But for plot, and because you guys love flower husbands, I'm gonna go with Scott.

And yes, he does go to Joel bar to complain and Joel keeps on taunting him about it.

Used to be an imperial general, betrayed Fable. When he realized his kingdom was not safe even if he stayed with him.

Rae -> in this universe Enderian is out of the picture, like not even mentioned, sorry girly.

Rae is the child of Isla, who was the queen of whatever because again, this is just me writing down dumb ideas. So, Rae and Icarus were sent away when he was little by Isla, who wanted to keep him away from the empire's arms due to his connection to the force.

Icarus -> older sibling to Rae, has no connection to the force, (no Quixis, you're not doing shit this time >:(), when them and Rae were sent away, they didn't understand why fully. As he got older they resented Rae because they felt like if Rae didn't have a connection to the force then they'd be able to be a family. But that resentment soon moved to the force itself, the stores about the Jedis, the sith, all that chaos. They don't know exactly how to help Rae, all they can do is try to protect him from the empire. (I'm giving Rae and Icarus a good-ish relationship ok? We all need that)

Momboo and Ocie -> are sisters, both use the force and both were trained by the Jedis, needless to say they are not like 20 yo, I think imma make them around 35/40..? (Safe to say Icarus and Momboo won't have a relationship.No.)

They both survived order 66 but got separated.

Now for the angsty part.

Momboo during her travels tried to find and protect kids gifted with the force. She would then proceed to die, leaving Jamie and Uhh fuck I don't remember their name, well, her other kid ok? With one message, to find Ocie, she could help them.

Ocie did not have as much maternal instincts as her sister, but, she picked along a small child, Oscar, a child made orphan by the empire. I'm figuring out the species still. She would settle down, she thought she was away from everything, that she could heal. Then Momboos kids came, and boom, training arc for those little shits. (/Sarcastic /not mean /please I'm not serious)

Centross -> now, I know in FableSMP he's not on Fable's side but Enderian's, the problem with that is that I think that the only thing that fits Enderian is a Dathomir's witch. And I don't exactly know how that could work. Like sure, let's make her a sith, but she's supposed to be like on Fable's power level, and she's definitely not a Jedi. So. For Centross, he could 100% be an inquisitor. 100% not even questioning it. This is based upon when he was violet reaper, yes yes, I am aware he was not on Fable's side, but I believe Fable is more fit as Palpatine than Enderian, sorry girlboss. Also sorry Centross, you're not getting a redemption arc.

I just learned about foot of the gallows marriages. I need to come up with ideas.

For those curious foot of the gallow marriages, it is believed to be a medieval judicial practice that when a man is to be executed, if a woman of good reputation, or is a virgin, I've heard of both, offers to marry him, they'll let him go. Now I say believed to be because evidence of this is very slim of how well practiced this was or any cases of it.

From my understanding, most of our information on foot of gallows marriages come from a 16th-century jurist named Barthélemy de Chasseneuz, who described in a book he wrote going over medieval fench legal practices. There was a case in 1561, though, where a man named Tilman Isenhaupt was sentenced to be hanged, and he had two marriage proposals. Both of which he turned down, but the crowd rioted, so he was still let go.

I feel like this could be an interesting set up to a story, though. Say a man is to be executed, whether he did the crime or not, is up for debate, and his sister begs her best friend to save her brother. Maybe the best friend had or has secret feelings for the man. Who knows. But she can't see stand to see him executed, even if she thinks he might have done the crime. So she proposes and he agrees. Now they have to figure out how to this marriage is going to work.

Another idea for a Gotham au:

Edward works in Arkham instead of as a forensic scientist as a nurse. He doesn't save Oswald, and he gets sent to the asylum a lot earlier. Oswald keeps getting injured by the other inmates, which leads to him seeing Edward more and more, and they end up bonding because both of them are hated by their peers. Eventually, Edward helps Oswald escape and kill Galavan. He continues working in Arkham until Oswald invites him to be his chief of staff for his mayoral campaign.

Total Unhinged Time Travel Fix it!

The usual chosen are sent back to prevent the dance with their memories of the future and their demise fresh on their minds…but something…occurs.

So! The three sons of Rhaenyra: Jacaerys, Lucerys and Joffrey, upon their death are pulled in by the Gods of Old Valyria and asked to Prevent the Dance right? They are all up for it for various reasons, but the main being they all want to be able to live their lives out until their time comes.

The gods prepare to send them back but something or someone interferes, yoinking the three of three of them from the grips of the Old Gods and telling them that they won’t be able to stop the dance in the next life they have, only making things worse since they aren’t trained enough and they have too much hatred within them for what has happened to their families and themselves. They offer them a chance to learn the ways of a new culture so they might not only be prepared but also have something the Hightowers don’t, they agree.

Any western world is out of the way since they are all pretty much the same, so they are sent to a version of Feudal Japan, during a fantasy age in which Dragon Gods in human form rule them all, and sensing the blood of the dragon within the boys they take them in, the Emperor making them his wards while three generals make them their person protoge’s.

They live out their lives in this world, learning their martial arts, fighting techniques and weaponry and face many challenges such as rebellion, loss of a family and making a new life for themselves.

*Jacaerys becomes a mercenary under the name of Lord Crow, he takes care of orphans from the war that destroyed the country and holds a region of land that is inaccessible to many others. He is solemn and quiet, never really coming out of his hiding or being all that public as he defends his lands to the best of his ability. He becomes a pretty good spear user.

*Lucerys moved to a different province and runs the entertainment districts which is a front for information and protecting refugees from the empire he once served before it was overthrown. He developed his own brand of poison and has taken so much of it his own blood is poison. He takes the moniker Lord Butterfly as he bred his own poisonous butterfly to help him as well.

*Joffrey became a wanderer who takes out various camps from the rebellion, taking on the name of Lord Falcon. He kills any and all who destroyed the empire he once lived in; as well as delivering orphans to Jace who takes them all in without too much hassle.

All three of them work to try and overthrow the new government and end up dying in the process.

They are taken back by the gods of Old Valyria who were frantic to get them back to ensure they are the ones to prevent the dance. In that moment the three dragon gods who helped raise them appear and hand them their divine weapons they had gifted them in life, telling them to take them with them to their realm to prevent the dance. They do and are returned to the day they arrived in Dragonstone, after Luke took out Aemond’s eye.

Because of them being taken the gods expelled much energy to get them back and were unable to send them back further. They make use of it and begin to train and do what they need to be prepared for the dance that is to come.

Leads into the day Luke’s legitimacy is questioned and they are brought back to Kings Landing for the first time in years.

They display their skills as nothing as it seems and their old past that is not known to anyone is coming in to mess with things, lending to an even messier road to peace.

Oh! And Aemond and Ageon totally are not obsessed with their nephews becoming deadly killing machines with little regard for how they are confusing the fuck out of people.

Joffrey sneaks off to recruit Daeron to their little group, leading to another uncle crushing on their nephew.

NOTE! ALL THE SECOND LIFE IN ANOTHER CULTURE HAPPENS IN THE BACKGROUND AND IS DROPPED THROUGHOUT THE STORY HERE AND THERE. NOT A MAJOR COMPONENT.

I have a shit ton more, but I might make this into a story…let me know if you want specific details or want to know more.

So I’ve been thinking while reading ‘The secret of the Plaid Family’ I was inspired to make my own trans Frederick! And here she is!!!💕 So cute!

I give you Princess Minerva! Youngest daughter of the Plaid kingdom.

When Frederick was about 13 he finally came out to his or should I say ‘her’ brothers that she’s trans. She of course was terrified knowing her father would be furious at this but not knowing how her brothers will react. Blaine was just fine with it and even joked that any potential boyfriends would now have to get his approval first!😆 Lance of course being the stereotypical clueless jock has no clue what being trans means. And of course Blaine has to explain to him about trans and of course Lance cluelessly, non transphobic argues about how Frederick can’t be a girl if ‘he’s a boy’. He’s not being transphobic I promise Lance just has no clue what being trans means. Eventually Blaine gives up and tells Lance “She’s a girl and that’s that! Please don’t make me try to explain it again!” “Ok.” Lance replies in his usual supportive Lance way. Frederick finds it a little funny with Blaine trying to explain to Lance with no success. (Insert cute Frederick giggle) And just like in my current fic all three ‘siblings’ now are a team against their father. And Blaine and Lance love their sister very much. And after coming out her brothers quickly adapt to the (even more) over protective big brothers role.

But not really knowing how to go about supporting your trans sibling Blaine calls over a maid whom he just happens to overhear while walking through the halls one day of her having a trans sibling. Long story short she helps the brothers by giving them advice on the dos and don’ts of supporting your trans siblings. But still scared of her father’s reaction Frederick keeps her current name and pretty much begs her brothers to keep everything a secret until she (will only go by ‘she’ when it’s just her and her brothers…for the time being) can find the courage to tell her parents.

Skipping ahead a little, insert magical version of hormones. Helps grow her hair longer, changes her voice, her body is already pretty slim because she was never really that masculine to begin with. There is a certain potion that can change someone’s gender permanently but Frederick avoids using it because she was told that when the potion is taking effect it causes immense pain as it is a potion for body modification. And the immense pain did not sit too well with Frederick. So she’s currently doing things the old fashion way. The maids are excited because they finally have a princess to dress up! And Frederick is enjoying every second of showing her brothers different outfits and getting their opinions on each one until finally finding the perfect one!

Another skip, she finally comes out to her parents with her brothers beside her, she’s in full dress and all and of course Isolde is supportive and proud of her for finding the courage to tell them understanding how scared she much have been…but of course the moment is ruined by Leland who being the asshole he is tells everyone “It’s just a phase, ‘ he’ll ’ grow out of it.” And this causes Frederick, now finally changing her name to Minerva runs off to her room crying. The three of them try to tell him off but of course they’re still too scared of him to really go off and end up just quietly disagreeing with him.

Another skip, the proposals with the princesses are announced and Leland still believing that Minerva is still ‘just a phase’ insist that Minerva marry Gwen and not Jamie. Of course not knowing Jamie is in the portrait as well, all the same assumptions are as is. But at this moment Minerva reveals that she is still into girls and thus coming out yet again as a trans lesbian and is perfectly fine with marrying Gwen. A lot of it goes by as is, except Minerva doesn’t call Gwen ugly do to the fact that she has been dealing with a lot of harassment since coming out and felt like a hypocrite for even thinking it. And instead Gwen overhears her and Blaine wondering why she looks so different from the rest of her family. And this actually does make Gwen sad but only because she remembers her dad telling her how she looks just like her mother. And it reminds Gwen of how she and Jamie barely even remember her as they were just babies when she passed. Gwen is still called ugly when she and Minerva are being harassed by some assholes at the amusement park. Older siblings step in to save the day but of course the damage to Gwen is already done.
