"Harry's where?"

Through squinted eyes and a wrinkle in his brows, Dom slowly repeats his words: "On a... date?" then, when Y/N doesn't reply, he tacks on: "I thought you guys were doing the whole non-romantic co-parenting thing. Why are you freaking out?"

"I am not freaking out!" Y/N exclaims, though the cogs in her brain are quickly spewing out anxious thoughts and scenarios: What did Harry's date look like? Were they more attractive than her? Did they already have kids? How did they meet? Would Harry abandon her for them?

"You are, I can see it in your face," Dom says, sitting up in his seat, "Listen, if you don't want him to see other people, all you have to do is tell him that you like him."

"Oh, shut the fuck up with that, will you?"

He cackles. "You seriously still think you don't have feelings for the guy?"

"I don't." she says with a shrug. "I just want him to be a good dad to our baby. It would be fucked up if he pissed off just to be with some other person."

"Harry would never do that and you know it. You're making excuses, which is exactly why you're fighting."

Y/N rolls her eyes and wraps her lips around the straw tucked into her Diet Coke, "We're not fighting. We're just... strictly talking about baby stuff right now."

"Right," Dom replies. "Well, he told me different."

"What did he tell you?"

"Wouldn't you like to know, hm?"

She groans, a look of annoyance on her face as she presses a hand to her bump. "Can you be nice to your pregnant friend and just tell me what he said?"

"No," Dom laughs, "Talk to him yourself, Y/N. You're running away from him because you like him, and for some reason dating your baby's father is your worst nightmare."

"Shut up!"

Jamie was nice. Really, a sweetheart that Harry could see himself falling for. That is, if he didn't have a giant, raging crush on Y/N.

After their argument a week ago, Harry decided he wasn't going to pressure her into trying a romantic relationship with him. In her defense, they'd decided on platonic co-parenting, and attempting to date during the pregnancy could really screw things up. He wasn't in the business of convincing Y/N to do anything with him, so he made the conscious choice to try dating.

Turns out, dating sucks when you're head-over-heels for someone else.

And he hates the fact that he's driving home from his date with no intention of ever contacting that woman ever again, only to go over to Y/N's house, who texted him 20 minutes ago. She'd said something about having trouble picking out a carseat for the baby, and since Harry already purchased one for his car two months ago, she wanted his opinion.

Except, when he knocks on her front door and she answers, she looks... unusually unkept. Flushed cheeks, hair a mess, and her lips swollen.

"Are you... okay?" he asks, toeing his Vans off in the entryway of her home.

"Yeah! Why wouldn't I be okay?" Y/N replies, a slightly panicked tone to her voice.

"Because you seem like you just got caught doing something you shouldn't."

She rolls her eyes and for a moment, a wash of relief comes over Harry. "I asked you to come over, didn't I?"

"Yeah," he mumbles as he follows her into the living room, "So, what carseats are you between? I got one from Evenflo and it has pretty good safety features—"

"You went on a date."

His eyebrows shoot up in shock, though her bluntness should never surprise him anymore. He clears his throat.

"Um, yeah. Earlier today."

"How did it go?"

Harry shrugs his shoulders, "It was fine."

"Well, will you be seeing them now?"

"What's with the third-degree, Y/N?" he fires back, growing semi-annoyed by her sudden line of questioning.

"Nothing!" she exclaims, holding her bump as she sits down on the edge of the couch. Silently, he takes a seat across from her. "Dom just told me you were going out with someone, so I was curious about how it went."

"Well, I just figured I should... you know, try to move forward." Harry replies vaguely, picking at his fingernails.

"Yeah. I get that." Y/N glances down at the floor, keeping her gaze on the carpet. "So... will they be around now, or...?"

"No, Y/N," Harry sighs, lifting his hand to run it through his hair. "Unfortunately, I'm not really interested in dating other people. Sort of stuck on someone."

"Oh."

"Is this why you wanted me to come over? To grill me about my date?"

She shakes her head, drumming her fingertips over the curve of her belly. "No, not really. Well, I guess this whole thing was dependent on how your date went, actually."

When Harry doesn't reply, she takes a deep breath, exhaling slowly. She keeps her eyes low, just over the largest part of her bump. Fuck Dom for being right, she thinks to herself.

"Remember last week when you said we had chemistry?" she asks, swallowing harshly.

Harry's heartbeat quickens. "Yeah. I remember that."

"Right," she nods slowly, "Well, um, I think you were... right."

Silence.

It feels like it goes on forever.

Wringing her hands in her lap, she looks up for an inkling of response from Harry.

Much to her surprise, she's met with a boyish smirk.

"You like me." he says, crossing his arms over his chest. "I was right all along."

"Okay, Harry, you don't have to get cocky about it, I was building up to it—"

"I knew it!" he exclaims, hopping up from his spot on the couch. Y/N's cheeks flare up in a deep pink hue, her entire body warming from the admittance finally being out in the open.

"Can you stop gloating—"

"Oh, you're such a bullshitter!" he nearly shouts, making Y/N wince, "I fucking knew you liked me all this time!"

"Shut up! You're being so annoying!"

Harry laughs loudly, a grin stretched over his lips as he kneels down in front of her. The embarrassed expression quickly swaps to something gentler, a small smile appearing on her face.

"We can take it slow," he murmurs. Hesitantly, he reaches out to hold her hand. She's never been big on physical touch, but she accepts it, intertwining their fingers together and giving his hand a tiny squeeze. "There's no rush. No pressure."

She nods, her lips pressed into a tight line. "I'm not the easiest to deal with, I know, so... slow is good, I think."

Quickly, he shakes his head. "I wouldn't change any part of you, Y/N. Your grumpy ass is all I've been able to think about for months."

She chuckles lightly and shakes her head.

"Can you... will you kiss me?" she asks softly, her heart hammering in her chest.

"Look at you, already going soft on me," Harry teases before reaching forward to tuck a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Oh, shut the fuck up."

I had this idea about how bucktommy and buddie both can still win if 911 will give us this:

First, I'll star with Eddie. The man with catholic guilt, problems with commitment, the guy who can have sex, but can easily find the reason not to have it and the man who scared to be alone eventually. How i can see Eddie winning? he understand he is demi/ace/aroace and stops trying to date people just because he is scared to be alone. Why he will not stay alone? because he has two friends, two co-parents now: Buck and Tommy

We all know buddie dynamic I shouldn't explain to you how Buck and Eddie created their family and how stayed what way even with all the obstacles. And we all heard no once dating someone you saved it's a recipe for a disaster. But what if buddie are staying platonic Buckley-Diaz family? They are wining. They are unbreakable. They love each other platonically. And they even now Kinard-Buckley-Diaz family.

Now Tommy and Eddie. Two men who easily fall into good friendship based on the shared trauma and interests. And we know Tommy loves how 118 are a family, so why can't he join it, but also joining the little family Buck already has as Buck's new romantic partner? he can

Now Bucktommy. They are romantic love. Each other's last romatic love they were waiting for long and deserve to have. They are a couple who are co-parent Chris with Eddie and are platonic family with Eddie. They are Eddie's friends who will not leave him alone EVER. THEY ARE FAMILY. They love Eddie as a family and a friend

I can see Buck understanding he loved Eddie romantically somewhere in the past but with time his love transformed into platonic and Tommy sees and respects it. he respects Buckley-Diaz family and really ready to enter it to make it bigger. To be new part of it.

So Chris has three father figures who loves him and who loves their dynamic and respect it.

And now just think where in the show you saw a person romantic love with time transform to platonic and they had kids and family and new romantic partner of one of them entered this family, becoming important part of it while loving and respecting their panther's story with their ex-lover and being good fiends, best friends even with said ex-lover? bathena and Michael before David. Buddie already parallel bathena a lot, why they can't again?

Buck is Athena: they loved their ex-lover romatically, but with time it transformed to platonic and they became incredible co-parents and found love in another person

Eddie is Michael: they love their co-parent, but they never romantically loved them. But they love their family, their kids, their co-parent and they respect and love as a family new romantic partner. And they are welcome this partner in the family. they even make sure their co-parent tries to be happy with this person, that they will give this relationships a chance (2x1 and 7x5)

Tommy is Bobby: a person who needs and wants new family and from the start knows he enters a FAMILY with kids in the game but they are ready

So yeah 911 can actually keep bucktommy and buddie and give representation of ace/aroace/ demi person with QPR buddie and romantic bucktommy and friendship between Tommy and Eddie.

They can be family

This is verging on discourse, but I have to say, as someone aroace with the emphasis on the aro, it's a trifle disheartening to ever try to look for queerplatonic relationships that look like mine within this fandom. QPRs can cover a broad spectrum of experiences, and it always seems that within MCYT what a QPR looks like has calcified into this one depiction that is very close (but not actually crossing the line) to shipping, just without kissing or sex! With emotional connections that are very similar (but not quite) to romance, hitting many of the same beats. And that just doesn't reflect my experience at all. Personally, I have more fun reading about straight ahead romance than a qpr that hits almost all the same notes, but just doesn't quite go there, that never digs into an aro or ace experience that I recognize, and that is always what I seem to find when I go cruising the tags.

For one thing, QPRs are not just an ace thing, and they definitely don't have to be a sexless thing! You can be aroallo and in a QPR and have sex, or you can be ace and in a QPR and have sex for the sake of your partner, or just for fun! Sex is fun for a lot of ace people, including those in QPRs, and using QPR eternally to mean "sexless" cuts off a large swath of the population that DOES have sex, for whatever reason. And there are tons of ace people who are extremely fine with kissing, including people who are sex adverse, so using a QPR are a shorthand to mean "sexless and also kissless" is only depicting a very narrow slice of the experience.

And QPRs in practice often look very different from romance, including with people who are romance-adverse, and who don't want any of the trappings that normally come with romance (marriage, specific terms like "love" or "darling", metaphors or positioning like "half of my heart" or "soulmate"), and I just never get to see that. A QPR can be two people who sleep in seperate rooms co-parenting a kid! (Or more than two people!) A QPR can be people married together and sharing a bed and holding hands at the movies and calling each other "darling", or it can be people who signed legal paperwork together who call each other "bro", and those are BOTH valid QPRs. But I only ever get to see the one that looks so close to romance that it's alienating to me, while people tell me that I should be happy to be depicted. (I'm not depicted.)

And I'm also frustrated because I have read QPRs that are sharing all the same hallmarks-of-romance-but-no-sex that I would theoretically have a problem with, but they also ring as true to me because people actually talk about what the relationship is and isn't to them, and I go Yes! Not me but I am on a similar wavelength! But so many people just go "QPR" but never unpack the actual ace/aro/aroace experience, so again I'm left with something that is using all the romance and affection tropes that I've come to expect over decades of living in an amonormative society, just slapping a "but it's platonic" on it at the very end. Where's people making assumptions about your relationship that you have to consider whether to correct or not? Where's the inside jokes? Where's the intimacy negotiations and teasing each other about what you want in terms of touch+? Where's the doing life together in a non-romantic way? Where's the epic friendship? Where's the aro experience? (If we're mutuals, you probably write all of these things, and I'm not complaining about you, you're good.)

And it's hard to escape the feeling that at least some of these people are writing QPR because they're afraid of shipping, as I see the tags scroll endlessly by, not because they actually want to depict the a-spec experience.

Some of it is just people not used to writing affection outside of the romance tropes in our society, and some of it is that so many guestures of affection in our society get romance-coded when like, holding hands is not inherently romantic, I know. But sometimes, man, I want to tell people that it's okay to romantically ship, they don't have to keep it platonic, if they're going to write something that is so similar to shipping but has a giant "don't worry, these guys don't fuck" stamped on it.

I don't know, maybe there are even less people like me than I thought. Or maybe the people like me aren't writing fanfiction (lol).

I don't know. QPRs are more varied than they get depicted, and the a-spec experience is special to me and I wish it got written in its diversity. It's frustrating to see only ever one type of QPR, one that is exclusionary to me. I wish I could see the tag and not know exactly what that relationship looked like, or saw something that I felt was strongly influenced by what the characters are, instead of the same sort of sexless romance-lite every time.

・❥・It's too hot with too many sharp pointy things and open flames and its dirty.

・❥・When it comes to cooking, he can do it, but like sky, he's not overly good.

・❥・but! You guys can learn together. Under his strict supervision. Where you sit at the counter. Away from the fires and knives. It's a bonding experience.

・❥・Back to the minish, they love you. They love playing with you and calling your attention away while your dad deals with someone whose watching you a little too closely.

・❥・They leave small trinkets for you all the time! Which four keeps in a box. Because you could choke.

・❥・He's also another one to make your toys! Little metal horses and wooden doll houses.

・❥・If he needs to run out for a few errands or something, he's not leaving you with anyone. Oh no not his kid. No, he's splitting. Two stay with you, three depending on the errand, while the other runs out.

・❥・You aren't allowed the Four sword. Ever.

・❥・He would never wish that upon you. Even if you love the colors and it helps you differentiate between green and red and blue and Violet.

・❥・Thats probably how you learn some of your colors in fact.

・❥・Even as you grow up, you cannot get away with anything. The minish are snitches and it would do you good to learn that. And fast.

A Steddie / Buckingham comedy of errors of sorts. It goes like this.

Robin thinks Chrissy Cunningham might be her non platonic soulmate. She's smart, a little goofy, observant, seems like a great listener, and after what the rumor mill is saying was a pretty intense summer has really come into her own. It's a shame she went straight from dating Jason to Eddie Munson.

"She said she's working on herself," Steve claims, more in tune with the gossip than she is, "pretty hypocritical of you to say guys and girls can't be friends."

Which is pretty hypocritical of him when she knows he only cares cause he's already planning his wedding to Chrissy's new boyfriend; he needs Eddie to be single otherwise he's pining away for his perfect co-babysitter for nothing.

But it doesn't matter if they are dating or if they aren't or if Chrissy Cunningham with her perfect strawberry blonde ponytail is her soulmate, because her parents keep trying to set her up with some friend of a friend. She needs to do something quick before disaster strikes.

Melissa and Richard Buckley still know how to tie one on, when the occasion strikes. They're parents now, they've settled down some. Given in to the picket fence life, keep their yard mowed so Gayle Collins down the way stops glaring. They haven't done anything really crazy since that weekend they left Robin with Minerva and went to see what that whole Woodstock thing was about. Now they mostly just stick to getting as high as they can and stargazing on the weekends that Robin is off with Steve, a sweet boy kind of a square but the brownie recipe he gave them makes the best edibles.

Melissa can tell her daughter is lonely, she notices a lot of things about Robin that she won't tell them. Richard has noticed that their dealer Eddie has started bringing a friend along with him. Eddie is a sweet boy too, raised well respects his elders something they care about now that they've become them, he is also obviously and fantastically gay. Like all the parents in Hawkins, Richard and Melissa have heard how Wayne Munson has taken in that Cunningham girl after she came back from her trip out of state. Melissa remembers being a vaguely out of control youth and knows that a trip out of state is code for one of two things, and Chrissy doesn't look like she's ever been pregnant. Chrissy seems like a girl who might like their daughter.

Steve would die before he denies Robin just about anything. She is the platonic love of his life, they nearly died together, they've come out together. He's pretty sure as long as he has Robin and his kids he'd be content for the rest of his life, romance be damned.

A sentiment Robin seems to agree with since she wants him to fake being her boyfriend. Obviously, he says yes. Steve is a good boyfriend, he's always been a good boyfriend. He's attentive, great with parents, knows when to keep the pda to a minimum but also knows when to put on a show. He used to be pretty sure that Mr. and Mrs. Buckley liked him. So he's not really sure why they pulled him aside before movie night.

"Your parents hate me."

"There isn't a parent in Hawkins who hates you."

"You mom just asked me if I didn't think it might be better if I found someone more suited to me."

"What does that even mean?"

"It's basically mom code for I think your the worst person my daughter could have brought home. If I had the choice I'd kill you so why don't you do us both a favor and fuck off."

"I don't think that's right."

"Rob, I love you but conversational nuance isn't exactly your thing."

Eddie likes his job. Sure it's technically not honest work, but who knows maybe down the line they'll legalize it. He's getting in on the ground floor, an entrepreneur. Hawkins is surprisingly pro-weed and Eddie is just fine sticking to that after this summer. His favorite customers are the old folks. Like Miss Brenda at the library or the Buckleys. He always brings Chrissy along when he goes out these days, she feels weird staying in the trailer by herself and he likes having her nearby. She puts people at ease.

Except the Buckleys, who seem strangely obsessed with her. They ask her pointed questions about Dorothy, and surely they mean an actual Dorothy, surely the nice middle aged couple aren't trying to figure out if Chrissy is queer. Sure he got some vibes off of Buckley the younger, but that was before she started dating the love of his life. Now he's starting to think his whole gaydar has gone to shit.

Chrissy, a baby gay who has just broken free of the nastiest case of comp het Eddie has ever seen, answer honestly. She doesn't know a Dorothy, is that one of Robin's band friends? How is Robin, she is so sweet. Chrissy just wishes she had more time in the day so they could see each other more. She's dating Steve right, they make just the cutest couple, don't they think?

Eddie can tell Melissa doesn't. A surprise when even Wayne likes Steve Harrington, thinks he's the bees knees. Loaned him a screwdriver or some shit when the guy was over fixing something at the Mayfield place. She smiles though and agrees that Steve is quite sweet, in a tone that Eddie is far more used to hearing used when people are talking about him than about Steve Harrington. He blinks and the next thing he knows Chrissy is agreeing for them both that dinner on Friday sounds lovely; she'll bring a dessert.

Like she's ever baked in her life.

Chrissy Cunningham has had a rough couple of months, but she's settled now. Sure, she had a breakdown so bad in Eddie's trailer that she ended up having to get professional help; but she got that help and a new support system for herself. Really, the only way life could be much better is if she were dating Robin Buckley.

Eddie likes to tease her, calls her a baby gay like she's a wobbly legged deer still figuring things out. She's had eyes on Robin since the fifth grade, when she got her hair cut short to her shoulders the first time and her teeth still had a gap before her braces went on. Steve is a great guy, she's seen him with the group of freshmen that follow him around like ducklings; she's also watching him now and he's spent most of dinner making moon eyes at Eddie instead of his girlfriend.

She doesn't understand how, Robin is a vision. Full of spit and vinegar, she is firecracker mad glaring at her parents across the table. "You really brought him here? I'm dating Steve, can you not accept that?"

A lot happens at once, Chrissy isn't entirely sure what is going on but it feels a lot like a pot boiling over, something left too long unattended.

"We aren't trying to set you up with our dealer," Mr. Buckley said. "You're not exactly his type."

"Chrissy is such a nice girl." Mrs. Buckley tries.

"You said you stopped that," Steve to Eddie, a lethal pout on his lips and downturned eyes.

"Well, I stopped with the kids," Eddie tries, "I gotta pay the bills somehow, sweetheart."

"Chrissy?" If Robin was a vision in her sharp eyed rage, she's radiant in her pink cheeked surprise.

Once the shock, surprise, and comedy wear off Chrissy thinks there will be tears. Robin's parents seem nice. They seem like the kind of parents you confide in and who hold you tight. She thinks about her mom doing something thoughtful, thinks of her quietly accepting who she is and who she loves; and when she can't do that she thinks of Wayne and Eddie and knows she'd cry once they were alone and the theater of it all was over. So she thinks she might need to make the most of her moment while it's there. "I don't want to be a homewrecker," she jokes, something she's picked up from Eddie, "but I think your boyfriend has his eyes other places."

"Boyfriend, what boyfriend?"

"They're showing Clue at The Hawk this weekend, if you want to go with me?"

Robin can't nod her head fast enough.

"Stevie, I noticed you find yourself newly single," Eddie says, sorrow so fake he should rethink his decision to go within 10 feet of the drama department. "If you could bear it, would you want to crash their date make it a double?"

Steve agrees so fast a bit of hair escapes his coif, it falls in a curl at his forehead.

Robin's parents both seem pleased, pleasant smiles that chrissy is becoming more accustomed to seeing on adults now that she resides in the Munson place. "They'll be smug about this forever," Robin confides. Her smile betrays her lack of real dismay.

Chrissy got her girl and her best friend got his boy, so she thinks it's all's well that ends well.

My thoughts on how part of the Hazbin Hotel fandom treat Alastor

(I apologize for any grammatical mistakes, I'm not fluent)

I have seen a few posts and Tumblr and Tiktok, who makes me, an aroace person, really uncomfortable. (I will talk about the shipping, but I can also talk about the mistaken views of his character in an other post).

Like, I'm sorry but I don't understand why people ship Alastor with other characters for multiple reasons :

1) He is comfirmed asexual in the show and aroace by the VA and Viv. 2) He is showed to hate (or strongly dislikes) at least two of the charcters he's shipped with (like Vox & Lucifer), rejects strongly the idea of "going at it" with Angel (I feel like he's disgusted by the idea)

3) The show portray his relationships with women as sweet friendships (Rosie and Mitzy) and even father-daughter like with Niffty and possibly Charlie. So purely platonic.

4) YES, I know, Aroace people can date but Alastor clearly doesn't show interest to be with someone in these ways. Also, I can't help but feel like some people use this sentence as an excuse to disregard his preferences and do whatever they want. Like drawing fanart or writing fanfics of him having romantic feelings and attraction and/or having $ex with characters like Lucifer and Vox (or readers). Wich I think is pretty disrespectful not only regarding the previous points concerning Alastor but also considering the fact that it's earsing our already rare representation.

However, I don't have any problem with queer platonic relationship, as long as they don't earase the characters sexuality(ies) and preference(s).

I also found the ideas of Alastor and Rosie marrying for taxes purposes + Alastor and Lucifer co-parenting Charlie while beefing with each other HILARIOUS.

But we should also remember how Alastor can be (and IS) malicious, sadistic, petty and most likely manipulate people (like Charlie). I love him but he's not (just) a little guy XD

Conclusion : we should respect his character and what he is supposed to be.

ok i see everyone's "ballister and ambrosius as nimona's parents" stuff but i'm going to raise you this

Ballister and Dr. Blitzmeyer as nimona's parents

I know there's the Gay Dad au sanctifying ambrosis as nimona's dad but he seems to get frustrated with Nimona more frequently than Ballister and I kinda got the sense that adopting her was mostly Bal's choice. Don't get me wrong, ambrosius has moments where he enjoys himself and he loves her, but I don't think he's thrilled abt the idea of her being here forever. He gives "good at babysitting but needs to give the child back at a certain point" vibes and obviously he can't do that when it's his kid

However in the Everything Is Fine au (the one where they all live in the cabin in the woods) Blitzmeyer is Nimona's guardian and they move from the city to the woods together, eventually moving in w Bal and Ambrosius.

Besides this au I don't think Blitzmeyer and Nimona ever interact, but I thought it was very interesting how the one time they do, she's also Nimona's guardian (I believe that's the word ND Stevenson uses, not "parent.") Already in this one picture, they look happier than Ambrosius did lol

I'm sure movie ambrosius would be much more willing to try and get to know nimona but what if the sticking point is with her this time? She can't get over what he did to both her and Bal, he reminds her too much of Gloreth, she's still wary of anyone that was that ingrained in the institute, and a million other things. She knows he's really trying and feels bad about everything but bc of all she's been through, she's not quick to trust people who betrayed her. Especially if she's only had bad interactions with them until this point. She avoids/shuts down his attempts to connect with her and is generally closed off and angry when he's there. It's like a kid hating their new stepparent lol Both Bal and Ambrosius know it's nothing personal, just the defense mechanism that's kept her safe from people like ambrosius for so long, but it still hurts. Eventually, he gives up trying to reach out to her and figures maybe she'll come to him or maybe they just won't be as close as he hoped.

Now, Bal's weird science friend is someone more Nimona's speed lol Blitzmeyer has somehow remained almost completely immune to institute propaganda, doesn't really care abt breaking things (the law included) if it can further her work in some way, and is just kooky enough to appeal to Nimona. She lets nimona help in the lab and doesn't mind the million questions she asks because that's just another opportunity to talk abt her work. They go on some adventures getting stuff for Blitzmeyer's experiments and really bond. Eventually they become pretty close and Nimona frequently goes out of her way to see Blitzmeyer.

One night late in the lab, Bal mentions that Nimona really likes her and Dr Blitzmeyer is like "really? no, not that much." And Bal's like "no, really that much. About as much as she likes me actually." And then with creeping awareness they both slowly look at each other with the realization that they're co-parenting now and actually have been for a while. After the initial freak out, they keep going almost like normal but throw in an outing every other month or so. They'll take Nimona for ice cream or some other casual thing and she's none the wiser that they've figured her out. One night as they were coming home from a movie or smth Nimona says, "I'm so glad we did this, I love spending time with my two favorite people." Nimona keeps walking but they have to stop to silently freak out to each other a bit lol

The only problem is that they frequently get mistaken for a nuclear family on these outings. And it doesn't help that Bal and Blitzmeyer often refer to each other as "my partner." (They open a lab together at the end of the comic and I think they would as well after the movie, so they are literally business partners and lab partners. But I like to hc them in a queer platonic relationship as well, so the word "partner" has a double meaning here. Ambrosius is Bal's romantic partner and Blitzmeyer is his platonic partner. They all talked abt it, it's all good.) Every time this happens though, Bal has to explain that they're just friends and he actually has a husband back at home. Some people go "ok, 'just friends,' sure. wink wink nudge nudge ;)" or "ok... does your husband know...? That you... and her...? ok, ok." It makes Bal angry when this happens but neither him or Blitzmeyer cares enough to actually do anything about it. Nimona just laughs at the stranger's confusion at their unconventional family.

Anyway, they're just two friends who somehow found themselves raising a 1000 year old shapeshifter together lol Ambrosius is disappointed Nimona didn't like him as much as he hoped but now he can just stay home and vibe lol

The man, the myth, the legend. Bringer of change, righter of ancient wrongs, ancestral patron of fire and of breaking bad habits.

Clanmew Name: Kafyarbabi, Kafyarshai [Wildfire + Heartbeating = Behaves like a wildfire.]

Alignment: ThunderClan

Relationships: Mates (platonic) - Sandstorm, Onestar (ex) Family - Squirrelflight, Leafpool, Cloudtail (nephew), Princess, Jayfeather, Lionblaze, Hollyleaf Mentors - Bluestar, Spottedleaf, Yellowfang Friends - EVERYONE. Graystripe, Deerfoot, Iceheart (Scourge), Brokenstar (post-death), Longtail, Cinderpelt

Chelford cats do not track paternity. It's not known who Firestar's father is, and it's probably not Jake anyway.

Firestar is aromantic. He is platonic co-parents with Sandstorm. He did not realize he was aromatic when he was seeing Onewhisker.

Other Clans consider him nosy. He's always trying to help out others, even when their sense of pride makes them hesitate to accept it.

Incorrigible. If he thinks he's right, you can't stop him. He also thinks it's important to make sure his Clan is well cared-for and doesn't give in to fear.

His personality is very passionate and outgoing.

Bonefall TPB:

To begin with, Rusty had to learn a new language to join the Clans. Clanmew and Townmew are sister languages but there was still a learning curve.

Spottedleaf was a big sister figure to him, she taught him how to connect with StarClan, what the rules are, and how to break them.

Bluestar left a deep impact on him as his mentor, she was the inventor of the mercy and grace which comes to define Fire Alone.

Like canon, he opposes Tigerclaw at every step once he realizes the cruelty within him.

Unlike canon, Better Bones is about having a strong anti-authoritarian stance, and to do that there's even MORE allies that Firestar connects with.

Oakfur, Stumptail, and Deerfoot in ShadowClan, and Mosspelt and Dawnflower in RiverClan are all cats who work directly with Fireheart, and were at times his Aftergathering buddies.

The end of Bonefall TPB is the battle with BloodClan, where he spares Scourge by defeating him honorably, ripping his collar off and forcing him to call a retreat.

The thesis of the arc is that Fire Alone can save the Clans because it's a radical change to the xenophobic, authoritarian culture of the Forest Four.

He lost a life in the process, from a huge slash across his chest and shoulder. It's meant to look like a mayoral sash, of sorts. His first deputy was Whitestorm, and after his death, his second was Longtail.

After the battle, he went a step further by bringing the collar back to Scourge as a gift of goodwill. He offered to uphold whatever he could of Tigerstar's Impossible Deal, and was shocked at the simple solution. BloodClan simply wanted things they couldn't get in Chelford; timber, glue, flowers, new types of foods they'd never tasted before.

Together, they forged a trade route that promised a bright future. During the destruction of the forest, Scourge eventually decided to lend his strength to the Clans for their Journey, eventually deciding to retire with them.

Scourge was eventually given the name Iceheart, so that he may live out his days with them in quiet peace.

Firestar's Quietus:

Brokenstar is the guardian spirit of the 5th tree of Fourtrees, which blighted and died after SkyClan's exile

His spirit cannot rest until SkyClan is safe. Firestar gets freakish dreams, Runningnose contacts him, and brings him to the Moonstone to figure this out.

It's there that he learns about Brokenstar trying to break into StarClan to make them do something. On learning that they just let an entire Clan get exiled, Firestar tells them to shove it and agrees to help.

Runningnose gives him a very emotional and significant acorn necklace which channels Brokenstar-- this item becomes important many arcs later.

Broken and Fire go back and forth a lot on what SkyClan should look like, what it needs, and how they should rebuild. The lesson learned is that SkyClan needed help, but can handle its own destiny.

Leafstar and the Warriors of SkyClan are not a Clan like the Forest Four. They will do things their own way, and that is a beautiful thing.

Brokenstar's final action is possessing Firestar's body (establishing the rules of possession for TBC later) to eradicate the rats; which were the earthbound, tormented souls of SkyClan's ancestors.

That's how Brokenstar and Firestar become the saviors of SkyClan

Bonefall Po3, Cruel Season, and Bonefall OotS:

In the episodic revamp of Po3, Firestar is aiding the other Clans through their struggles with the new environment, and helping to raise his grandchildren to be honorable cats.

So, his role is essentially as both the Clan's leader, and as Grandpaw Firestar.

His deputy is Brackenfur, who was promoted after Firestar and Brambleclaw agree that he isn't ready for deputyship yet after his lapse of judgement with Hawkfrost.

Brackenfur is killed towards the end of Po3 in the Battle of the False Eclipse, a trick from Sol, God of Chaos, a preview of the night that is to come where the dead can walk the earth.

Brambleclaw succeeds him.

The Fire Scene is in the in-between book between Po3 and OotS; Cruel Season.

It was started by Whiskernose of WindClan, aided and abetted by Thornclaw and Breezepelt, as an intentional distraction so they could get Firestar alone to kill him on the Dark Forest's orders.

He has one last big scene after his death; coming down from Silverpelt when Jayfeather summons StarClan warriors to fight the Dark Forest.

After winning a rematch with Scourge, Tigerstar finally gets the battle he's always wanted, and Firestar deals with him once and for all.

His Legacy:

He becomes known as the Patron of Fire and Breaking Bad Habits. He's invoked frequently during wet days when it's hard to start a cooking fire.

Firekin are renowned as a family of heroes, something that can cause a lot of pressure for its youngest members.

Fire Alone and Traditionalism are the competing ideologies by the modern era, with support of Thistle Law being kept very quiet.

I heard requests were open again, I just finished reading the newest malleusxreader fic and I really enjoyed it(your writing makes me weak, in a good way), anyway here's the request: Could you do a platonic oneshot with the second years + Leona and Malleus (why?idk) where the reader is royalty and has never experienced going outside as they've been shielded away from prying eyes and the outside, and now that reader's in their second year, the second years and co decide to teach reader how to have fun and take a trip, maybe around sage island or maybe one of the boys hometowns to experience freedom? "i've... never been to an amusement park..."

silence suddenly filled the room as your fellow second-years stared at you for a moment. the silence was then cut short by azul as he let out a sigh, "oh my, it seems the royal highness of our batch never went out of their castle."

you and the other second years have been conversing for a while about things they could do for the weekend and the upcoming break, and when it came to the point that it was your turn to speak, you barely had anything to share and told them the truth.

"i was raised in an overprotective household, so i was sheltered all my life. forgive me for not hearing of this... so-called 'playful land amusement park'."

"it's a 'mysterious' amusement park that shows up only once a year," spoke riddle. you nodded your head a little in understanding before humming in response, "hmm... well, if that's the case, the chances will be low for us to see it this weekend..."

kalim then gasped as he beamed at you, "oh, i know! why don't we tour around sage's island?! there's a lot of things to see here, f/n!" azul seemed to find this idea appealing as he nodded and verbalised his agreement, "yes, that's a great idea. this trip will also allow me to see new business opportunities and possible expansion for mostro lounge."

riddle sighed at azul's words, "you never change, huh... but kalim has a point. it would do good for us to explore..." you smiled a little at riddle, "you also will have a benefit from this trip, riddle."

"how long will the trip be?" asked jamil.

"one week!" exclaimed kalim.

jamil was about to respond until jade smiled and said, "one week sounds good. it just so happens that our break is approaching soon. shall we start planning the itinerary?" floyd seemed excited at the thought of exploring sage's island as he placed his arm on his brother's shoulder, "this is so exciting~ hehehehe~!"

"oh, is it alright if i invite two other people?" you asked as you tilted your head slightly in curiosity. ruggie seemed to have the idea on who you were thinking of, making him laugh, "shishishishi~ of course, you can!"

you then glanced at silver, hoping to hear an input from him, only to see him asleep while seated.

the day of the trip came and you were staring at your bag - which was empty aside from your wallet. "is this really all i could bring...?" you mumbled to yourself until you heard a knock on your door, snapping you out of your thoughts.

you opened the door, only to be greeted by the savanaclaw dorm leader standing with his arms crossed, "hey, we're about to leave."

"hang on, i still need to see what else i have to bring."

leona raised a brow in response before looking at your bag filled with only your wallet, "that's already enough, your highness." you could hear the sarcasm in his voice as he addressed you that way, making you sigh as you shrugged and grabbed your bag.

"okay, if you say so."

upon arrival to the gates of night raven college, you saw malleus standing with silver and the rest of the second years, making you smile as he finally received the invitation you extended to him. however, leona did not look pleased at all.

"the lizard's coming with us?"

malleus heard leona's remark and turned to face him, "it seems the big cat is joining us..."

"one trip. that's all i ask," you retorted before they could start their cat fight once more. jade then approached you and showed you the itinerary, "your majesty, we're starting off with the famous patisserie located at the foot of this mountain, then we'll head to the ports next."

your eyes stayed on the itinerary that jade was showing you before grabbing it and reading its contents, "hmm... a week's worth of exploration. this is great..." you then handed back the itinerary, "also, you don't have to address me that way. we're schoolmates, right?"

and with that, the day began. you and the rest of the second years started visiting the patisserie at the foot of the mountain to get something to eat.

you stood beside malleus as you both eyed the menu with great concentration.

"there's so much to serve... they start off with black coffee, then a frappe, a mocha, and 5 more drinks before they move on to the pastries?" you questioned, thinking that the patisserie will be serving the entire menu just like how most 5-star restaurants do.

malleus glanced at you, thinking the same way but at the same time, he had his doubts. ruggie was on the other side and he could hear everything you were saying, "ah, is that what happens when you're a closeted rich person? shishishi, n/n, you get to pick only what you want to get."

"really?"

"yes."

your eyes scanned the menu again before looking up at malleus, "what will you get? there's so many choices." the diasomnia dorm leader hummed as his eyes continued scanning the menu, "we can always get more than one..."

you nodded, "yes, you're right. then i'll have this..." you pointed at a drink and several pastries, making ruggie glance at you since he was only holding one muffin. you noticed his glances and smiled, "do you want anything, ruggie? i'll add it into my tab."

ruggie's eyes lit up as soon as you offered to pay it for him, making him point at the pastries he had been thinking of getting. leona, meanwhile, merely bought a single coffee and drank it with no other words.

your group ended up coming out of the patisserie satisfied. aside from what you ordered for yourself, you added a slice of cake for each person in the group to make sure they all had their fill.

"the cake you bought was so tasty!" exclaimed kalim as he beamed at you, while jamil gave you a small smile. "it was very generous of you, your highness. thank you."

"since you bought something for me, allow me to return the gratitude," spoke azul as he gave you a polite smile, but you knew all too well that he wanted to stay on your good side. well, not like it bothered you. "this trip is more than worth it. your presence alone brings me great joy knowing i am not alone in this journey," you spoke a tad bit formally.

"ah, you flatter me," spoke azul. floyd, on the other hand, had nothing to fear as he slumped his arm over your shoulders and spoke in a merry tone, "*chaetodon-sama is so generous~!"

you smiled at them and thanked them for their kind words before heading to the ports. your eyes scanned the area, seeing the fishermen and sailors preparing their boats to start their journey to the sea, while their families waved at them and wished them a good luck.

leona was standing beside you as he noticed you have been staring at the locals doing their own thing, "there's a lot to see in sage's island." his voice made you snap out of your thoughts as you glanced at him before looking back at them, your eyes staying on the woman nearby as she waved at her husband with a sweet smile.

"...it's definitely something that people of our status don't see much," you spoke softly, "being locked up in that castle has made me ignorant on the ways of the common folk..." leona stayed silent for a moment before he patted your head, and you can tell he was a little hesitant to do so, but you appreciated the gesture.

you looked up at him and smiled a little before looking back at the locals, "...i'd like to do this again when i'm back to my kingdom, to see what my people do on the daily..." leona hummed softly in response, "i'm sure you'll do well with it."

you merely hummed in response before looking back at your other schoolmates, seeing them speak to the sailors or talk amongst themselves, laughing and bickering playfully. it all brought a small smile on your face.

How you all met was because you practically came with Harry. Like a pack of beer or a pack of sweets, you came with the package aka Harry.

Since you weren’t shy at all, you were able to get along with the boys. You helped them record their first lot of videos and encouraged them to be their best selves and be the best YouTubers they can be.

So since you were the ‘younger’ one, you were more up with the trends so you’d tell them what the latest ‘video’ could be.

You had different types of friendships with each person. So let’s get into the details!!

First off Josh! Since he’s been with Freya you see them as your non-biological parents. Freya is literally like a mother, she gives you the motherly vibe (in a good way obviously.) and Josh is always there for you like a dad and he’d (plus the boys) would be protective of you. Sometimes he’d teach you things, they may be random things but it’s a way you two would spend time together besides recording things. He’d teach you how to do YouTube, you already knew the basics but he helped you learn even more.

Simon- he felt the most like a big brother, like the out of the ‘family’ you all were he would be the oldest sibling. He thought you football (along side Harry) but you pair would just have a kick-about together in the garden since the boys were filming for their own videos. He would take you to go get food for you all, you were his co-pilot when getting food for you all. When you have a bad day, he’d be the one to vent to. Like he’s a listener rather than a talker so he’d like to listen to you rant and then try and help you find a solution or to comfort you.

JJ- gosh, he was such a wind up! Especially when you lived in the sidemen house. Pranks left right and centre and if they weren’t for you then you two would team up and prank someone else. He would definitely be the type of ‘brother’ you’d have to keep your eye out for. Either play fighting or pranking. But if someone bothers you that’s isn’t in a ice way or isn’t someone you know; best believe he’s buy your side ready to fight the guy or girl who’s harassing you. Since he’s been boxing people don’t want to try and go against him. He’s the type of person who ‘only I can beat up them’ like bus brothers who play fight with their sibling but if someone else tries, expect murder.

Tobi- he was definitely the ‘twin’ type. He knew just from a look or your body language how you felt. He noticed the small details/aneurisms you’d do. If you didn’t do them he knew something was wrong. You talk to him about boy drama, girl drama or whatever drama. He heard all the gossip. He helped you learn to drive since he drives the most and in your opinion the best. Definitely helped you style your clothes or show you what your style could or can be like. Definitely protective of you if you all went clubbing. Since he’s the sober friend, he’d protect you from creeps when you were drunk. Helped you whenever you needed help he was there (so was everyone but he’d usually be the first).

Vikk- he’s was definitely the kindest when it came to meeting you for the first time. Like he’d made sure you were comfortable in any situation possible and always checked up on you. He’d got you into Minecraft and games in general. You didn’t do it as much as the boys but when they’d ask you to join their gta race or Minecraft challenge you’d be amazing at it. Always helped you with anything you’d struggle with. If you choose to do uni or collage and it was online he’d help you if he was free. You guys definitely have a cute friendship.

Ethan- definitely in recent days helped you become more confident in yourself and your body. I mean come on! He had an amazing body transformation so of course he’d help you feel better in your body. You helped Faith and Ethan become the amazing couple they are today. Ethan mentioned that Faith was pretty and you said she liked him and so poof! Relationship created 😂 but he was definitely the more stern and would be a very good friend and role model. You love going over their house and seeing Olive and having some fun with them. Definitely a person you can feel safe with.

Harry- definitely like the younger brother, I mean you grew up with him you knew everything about him and vice-versa. Football video almost every weekend. You two being the dynamic duo of the sidemen video. Both of you being the younger one of the group. Being a girl it helped him be somewhat more confident in himself while talking to women. You two would take the piss out of each other and sometimes Vikk would try and stop it thinking you pair were actually arguing 😂 like siblings and their mother.

You and Harry moved in with Calfreezy and Callux. Let me tell you it was a blast! Something different happened everyday, either it being a cooking video that you’d judge in or Harry making a diss track.

As time moved on Callux moved into his own house and the three of you bought a new apartment (the one Harry had before he moved recently). If you were making a video Cal or Harry would casually walk in and join or when you were streaming and the chat would blow up. You’d be stealing their hoodie left, right and centre. It was comforting if it was just you in the apartment if they were filming outside the apartment. You’d cook them food as you were the best as they quoted. Harry would steal your comfy blankets as Cal would steal your cozy pillows. You lot would most definitely have the ‘bin shoes thing’ like where if you were throwing the rubbish out you’d chuck on Harry’s sliders and go take the bins out. You three definitely doing a cook off in the new apartment.

You all love going and playing seven aside or if not eleven aside. Growing up with these lot, you grew to love football. So playing football with them is fun. Sometimes you’d even see that some random boys would join in if you were low on numbers.

One time you were all playing football with a few random lads. You had scored for your team, on the other team the random lads were losing. So of course they shouted “she can’t play!” So the boys especially Harry, Ethan, Calfreezy and Tobi became protective asking the “why is she a problem?” “Do you have a problem with her?!” So the boys obviously said “yeah! She’s a girl and we are all boys.�� So Ethan and Cal started arguing and got them kicked out of the Astro you were playing on. Tobi sarcastically asked “is it cause she’s good and your losing?” The boys walked off losing the argument and then you all decided to carry on and just evened out the teams more.

When you were on the sidemen videos you’d know it was a good video. Like the holiday ones, they were the best cause no matter what team you were in you’d make everyone feel better. Or the hide and seek, you had a thing were if the seeker walked past you’d joke about them and chat shit. Just for a laugh.

If you were having a rough day or something bothered you which ruined your day; Cal and Harry could sense that. So what they’d do is a little ‘spa’ day. So what they’d do was you’d all do some skin care and some face masks. You’d all order some takeout and have a ‘girls night’ so you’d gossip and tell the boys all the drama and they’d get hooked. Then you’d watch a movie or tv show, thats when Harry would be filming cause he isn’t a movie person.

All together they loved you no matter what and everyone adored you for who you were. The fans adored you either it was your own fans or sidemen fans. You’d helped the boy get to where they are now so obviously you all grew a strong relationship with them all and you’d obviously loved them so much! So you can definitely say “I love the boys and they love me!”

heyy how do you think the relation between the twins and kamiki would be if ai never died and kamiki came to met them like a normal person? I mean we are unsure how kamiki feels about twins but how would twins feel about kamiki if everything was normal? Also how ai would be during the whole scenario? I always love to hear your thoughts on random ass things that come in my brain lol

Honestly speculating anything about Kamiki rn is So Fraught because we had that whole "sorry you thought i was /srs when rly i was /jk" reveal with the mangakas BUT for the purposes of this ask and because it's more fun that way, I'm gonna just assume the teen Hikaru we see in 15YL is like… mostly close enough to some kind of reality.

I think the twins would start off kind of hostile towards Hikaru, in a sort of quasi protective way. Like omg, we have to protect Ai from this sleezeball guy!!! totally ignoring the actual reality of the dynamic between them… I think Aqua would have a lot of trouble taking him remotely seriously as a father figure just because of Hikaru's age compared to Gorou's but I do also think that because baby Aqua has so much more of Gorou's influence in his brain, he would start to pick up pretty quick that like… uh, is this kid alright??? hello??? & eventually come to feel a similar sense of responsibility for him as he does for Ai and Ruby.

As for Ruby, she's definitely way more hostile for a lot longer and goes out of her way to commit Baby Crimes in an effort to just make his life miserable and drive him away. But he gradually wins her over just by being patient with her and tbh I think Ruby would be similarly weak to someone being A Dad for her as she was for Ai being her mom given just how completely she was abandoned by her parents and she ends up accepting him in a tsundere sort of way.

As for Ai… I think she has some surprisingly complicated emotions about it!

While she reaches out to him for the good of the kids, I think Ai would actually have some fears of the twins preferring Hikaru to her or Hikaru's presence somehow otherwise upsetting the dynamic of her relationship with the twins. But then of course, she feels guilty for having those feelings and ends up negatively comparing herself to her mom, who she absolutely does not want to be like, and bottles them all up which means it just gets worse and worse and worse… <3 avoidant little idiot

I think she would eventually have a heart to heart with maybe Saitou and Miyako about it who help her to have a sort of of come to jesus moment about how even if the kids DO end up loving Hikaru, Ai is always going to be their one and only mom and nobody can ever really replace her. I think it would take her a lot of time to feel properly secure just because her history of abandonment by people who are supposed to love her is so gutwrenchingly consistent but she does eventually come around.

I think they'd be a pretty cute family unit! I don't think Ai and Hikaru would ever get back together romantically in this setup but the idea of them being a platonic co-parenting team is really good…
