Weekend reset ✩°。⋆⸜ 🎧

• Full skincare routine. Face lift massager, pumpkin seed oil, aloe vera mist, retinol eye masks, rose face mask. <333 🌸🪷
• Energy cleansing music. I always enjoy singing bowls and cleansing music to rid me of the week’s stress. (Singing bowls are great, but Sade and Jhené Aiko basically do the same thing too)
• Swimming. Personally, I find water very cleansing and rejuvenating. You can also take a long bath/shower, and fully visualize yourself being cleansed. 🏊‍♀️
• Lots of greens and nutrients + protein. Eating good food makes me feel good, simple as that. I am able to really enjoy and appreciate my food on weekends, which I love. I get to make all of my favourite little treats and nice big meals, love it. 🙏🙏🙏
• Clean room = full declutter session. I can’t stand having a messy room (yet I do, and I usually don’t do anything about it for the whole week). So anywayyyy the weekend is great because I can make sure everything is organized and clean + I feel so good when I declutter.
• Deep meditation and mindfulness exercises. Put on a guided meditation or some simple meditation music and clear your mind. Breathe. It may seem small, but this is a huge act of self love! Taking time out of your busy day to sit and breathe with yourself, amazing. 🧘‍♀️
• Read/write. Writing is an excellent creative outlet. You can let go of all your worries and stresses on paper (love my journal). Or you can write about all the amazing things in your life that make you happy! (All I write about honestly, I can’t help that I love my life so much!)
• Deep stretch and good workout. Your body will thank you for stretching out all your knots and tight muscles. Long workout sessions where you can focus on yourself are the besttttt 💪🤞🏋️‍♀️

how to stay motivated long-term
trust, me i know that long-term motivation and consistency is hard. long-term motivation might be difficult to maintain, but there are effective techniques to help you stay focused and determined. whether you're seeking personal ambitions, academic achievements, or professional success, here are some strategies to help encourage motivation:
understand the reason behind your goal ☆ does your goal contribute to personal growth or meaningful relationships? ☆ how does your goal impact others? ☆ is your goal meaningful to you? if your goal lacks meaning, it may be hard to maintain motivation.
positive and negative motivation motivation can come from different places ☆ positive motivation: the desire to experience pleasure ☆ negative motivation: the desire to avoid something (an outcome) both types of motivation have their place, so learn to recognise what type fits in where. (post on this coming soon)
set up systems use your initial motivation to set up structures: ☆ create routines, systems and habits that help you towards your goal even when your motivation fluctuates ☆ when your emotions wane, rely on these systems and disciplines to maintain momentum
break down goals ☆ tackle one goal at a time to avoid feeling overwhelmed ☆ set achievable milestones and celebrate each step forward ☆ keep the momentum going by focusing on manageable tasks
validate good work ☆ give yourself a little reward, or thank yourself, for completing hard tasks ☆ this reinforces motivation and encourages effort

how i sleep after i’ve read for an hour, brushed & flossed, put on my retainer, washed my face, applied retinol serum & a thick moisturizer, put on lash serum & a lip mask, changed into a matching pj set, turned off every light, journaled & meditated, stretched, put my hair into a bun for heartless curls in the morning, turned on my fan, and climbed into bed with my silk pillowcase & all my plushies 💗🎀🧸💤

Even if you don't wanna take cute notes at least make sure your hand writing is nice and legible. Mine isn't and I'm not saying that in a 'quirky' way like, no my hand writing is terrible lol. But I try my best to make my handwriting legible at least so I can read it later

Stay off your phone!! It does distract you, stop scrolling through Pinterest and liking Post's on Tumblr!! Put it downnn 😾

Blue helps you remember
Re-read the notes as soon as you get home, it helps remember them better
Brain food! Nuts/mints/blueberries/dark chocolate even coffee!
Chew the same flavor of gum when you studied on the test it helps you remember
Flash cards and diagrams! Those are the best ways
Take breaks, seriously!
Keep a planner and write down all your assignments there and plan on when to study
