More Steddie Flower Shop / Tattoo Parlor AU

Part One is available here! Time for Steve’s perspective! c: (also available on AO3)

*** Steve had signed the lease on the studio space a week ago and he was gearing up for the opening, posting instagram updates for the followers he’d gained from his previous tattooing gigs. Steve had bounced around a few spots since he started tattooing, but he hadn’t found anywhere that felt like he really belonged. Most people assumed tattoo artists had to be overly masculine or into counterculture. Steve had never been all that alternative (other than a brief emo phase Robin has been sworn to secrecy about) and he didn’t have loads of tattoos himself. It had been a point of contention between him and some of his past coworkers who felt that a tattoo artist should wear their ink proudly.

Homophobia was also still pretty common in some of the more mainstream shops in town and Steve couldn’t handle some of the casual comments shop owners made about his more feminine style. To top it all off he was sick of having to tattoo tribals or dandelions on college kids as he “worked his way up the ladder” at some of the more established places. Steve had managed to garner attention for his original colorful floral work on instagram and was getting enough interest that he decided to take the leap and find his own space.

He was eternally grateful that his best friend, Robin, had agreed to help with the front of house and appointments so he could focus on tattooing. Robin and Steve had talked for hours about how to make Steve’s studio inviting and comfortable for anyone who dropped in. Steve felt strongly about gatekeeping in the tattoo community and wanted his studio to be bright and open and set people at ease who had never been tattooed or had been burned by more “hard core” shops.

Robin had taken Steve to hundreds of estate sales and thrift stores to find pieces that were homey and comfortable so that his new studio could reflect his tattooing philosophy. He’d filled the space with plants and soft fabrics and made sure that the studio had plenty of light. Steve had set up a nice waiting area that was more of a living room than anything else with loads of books and a record player to provide a soft soundtrack. He purposefully didn’t include any records heavier than Simon and Garfunkel to encourage a more relaxed atmosphere. He’d worked at a shop that only played metal and he basically lived on Excedrin to survive the headaches he’d get after a shift.

“Steve! It’s looking so good!” Robin said as she pushed through the door with the spoils from her Target run. “I really think it’s almost there. And just in time for our first appointment, tomorrow.”

“I’m really happy with it, Robs.”

“You should be! It looks awesome. Very instagrammable,” Robin added as she posed by the record stand. Steve snapped a quick pic before Robin could stop him.

“You’re right, very instagrammable,” Steve joked. He showed Robin the picture.

“Hey, that’s actually not bad. Send it to me and I’ll post it to stories to help drum up some business, kid.”

“I already had to close my books twice, I think we’re going to be okay, babe,” Steve laughed.

It was true. After he posted some of his favorite floral pieces his DMs had blown up and he already had a full schedule for the next couple of months. Robin had agreed to help Steve in exchange for the promise that he wouldn’t overwork himself and actually take days off, so they were already scheduling clients pretty far out. To afford the overhead and keep to a more limited schedule, Steve had to broaden his initial search for studio space. They’d ended up in a slightly less desirable part of the city but since it seemed like Robin was serious about limiting Steve’s schedule it was a deal they couldn’t pass up.

“Alright, I picked up drinks to fill the mini fridge, coffee, tea, and some snacks. I also got this very cute planner to keep track of all your very important appointments,” Robin said as she pulled everything out of her grocery cart.

“I feel like we have to be forgetting something, Robs.” Steve looked around the space. He’d fully outfitted his tattooing space with everything he needed, they’d set up the printer and iPad to do stencils, and everyone had places to sit, but it still felt like something was missing.

“I think you’re overthinking it. We double checked the list last night.”

Steve walked over to the window and looked out at the busy street. He noticed the flower shop across the way. “Wait, that’s it. I wanted to go set up a recurring delivery for a flower arrangement for the front desk for each week.”

“Wow, when you said you wanted to lean into the plant gay aesthetic you weren’t kidding, huh?” Robin laughed.

“I just think it would be nice to have fresh flowers in addition to all the greenery,” Steve added.

“You’re sure you’re not just looking for an excuse to talk to the guy you’ve been checking out who works there?” Robin asked.

“I’ve been doing nothing of the kind.”

“Then why are you blushing, babe?” Robin dramatically flung herself onto the couch. “I’m so glad we got some old lady’s fainting couch for precisely this moment. It is perfect for dramatically winning an argument.”

“You’ve won nothing, Robin.” Steve pouted.

“You know I’m just giving you shit. If you’re going to go you better go now. I think they close early.”

Julian Modern AU HC's

Why? Because I'm having a crisis and need comfort food and I'm too broke to buy snacks so headcanons it is...

They're mixed but lean a lot towards a haunted house. Mention of steamy times but no description.

He likes Doc Martens. Why? Well, for one they are nonslip, which means he can wear them to work at the hospital and to his gigs at the bar without a problem. But most important, they are unisex so he can buy all the flowery pairs his heart wants and they actually fit his long-ass feet. They're also good for ankle support!

He has a treasure chest in his office, it's full of cheap plastic toys. If a kid is having a particularly trying appointment he will let them choose a toy from the chest afterwards while he's speaking to the parent(s). He will say something cheesy and sweet like: "You've been a brave pirate, you have won a piece of the treasure!" ...He sometimes lets them take two.

Once he had saved enough money he bought a house like his older coworkers told him to because it would be a good investment... a huge, old Queen Anne fixer upper. Queue to his coworkers facepalm. But he doesn't care, he's happy with it and he has plans for it: round room will be a seance room, basement will be a workshop, attic will have e telescope... He asks you for help to choose wallpapers. "I want it to be as close to original as possible. Want to go with me to find records of the house? Maybe they have pictures!"

He takes a lot of inspiration from Christine McConell, choosing a wine, black and silver colour palette for the common rooms, asking for help making his own wallpaper based and the research you two made. He goes to antique shops and estate sales to buy decorative cushions and throws which he has professionally cleaned for use. He does buy all new linen and towels, though he has much of it made to match the style.

You keep him company while the repairs and decorations are being made because he's SURE he saw a couple shadows once or twice. You haven't really felt anything, but then again you haven't really been inside the house as he refuses to go in unless the whole crew of workers is inside, too. You don't want to be pulled into his paranoia, he's known to suggest himself into bouts of fear when it comes to supernatural things, but you swear to yourself you saw something out of the corner of your eye peeking out of the top floor window.

Once the house is finally repaired he decides to move in. Yes, it's like half an hour away from the city and his hospital and it could have ghosts in it, but that's what bikes are for eh? And maybe, just maybe he was just nervous and saw things because of his anxiety, he wasn't sure if the house was livable after all and he was anxious about the repairs not going well even though they were more superficial than he thought, most of the bedrooms not needing anything but wallpaper changes and deep cleaning...

First night he spends there, though? He calls you in hysterics. "I-I-I-I-" you give him a second to try and speak and he finally blurts out between squeaks of fear: "SAW SOMETHING CREEPING INTO MY BEDROOM CAN YOU PLEASE COME AND STAY OVER?! MALAK AND BRUNDLE REFUSE TO STAY INSIDE!!"

Once you're in there you do get a sense that there's something else besides you two, but you reassure him he's safe and alright and that you will protect him. You suggest having a sleepover party in the living room, where the energy is less dense, and that once he's at work tomorrow you will cleanse the house for him. He accepts and you have a jolly (and maybe steamy?) time with snacks, funny stories, maybe even videogames, finally falling asleep snuggled up in the pull out couch.

He was right, there's something in the main bedroom, which is his. But it's nothing a good incense cleansing and a sound talking to it wouldn't fix. You do just that and text him a picture of his bedroom and you. "All clean now!" He texts back that he's happy about that, but that he probably will stay in his office for a couple of nights, just to feel safe again.

.... and that's how you came to live with him. It was in the plans, but it looked like a distant future when you had spoken about it... And now you were there, all your belongings packed in a u-haul, driving towards his house. He greets you with open arms into one of his all enveloping hugs and shows you to your bedroom... even though both of you know that's just gonna be the place you keep your clothes in because they won't fit in his closet...

He's so grateful you're there, it takes off the edge of the not-so-oppressive-anymore feeling around some places in the house, and since you're there the shadows haven't come to bother him at night. He calls you his shield and that makes you chuckle.

He had the sense of installing a modern stove additional to the wood stove already in the house, so you're in charge of breakfasts. Chocolate chip pancakes, puddings, oatmeal, crepes, sunny side ups... this man seems to eat it all! He's secretly grateful he doesn't have to eat take out or burnt food anymore. He's...not the best cook and now thanks to you, his beloved, he even can take lunch to work! Everyone at work comments on how much healthier he looks now, too, and he's happy to show you and your cooking skills off. "They're a genius!!" You blush, but can't help feeling proud of your skills, too. He just does that to you.

After a couple of months you're finally tired of the dramatics the shadows have been pulling on and off, so you sit at the seance room with a board and your cards and he goes into hysterics again. No, don't do this, why is this happening, you can't have a seance, yaddah yaddah. But you try to put him at ease, explain to him how this could help. "Why do you have a seance room if we can't use it for that??" you finally ask. "It's for the aesthetics, my dear!" he answers, and that makes you chuckle. You give him a protection charm and gently sit him down with Portia, who's always down for mischief and visits you often, explain the dynamics of the activity and reassure him he's safe with you and his sister there.

The seance goes better than expected but it doesn't make it any easier on him... since now you know there's a small family cemetery in the backyard. "Okay, that does it, I'm selling this place!" he blurts out, shaking like a leaf. Slowly and gently you reassure him that it's okay, that they just wanted to be known, have their markers and their names back, and that you will take care of it... he calms down a bit but remains skeptical they will leave y'all alone.

But it works!! You have tombstones made with names, dates, loving words like "beloved husband" and "cherished daughter" and "treasured wife", you have them placed where the ghosts told you their graves were... and as if by magic the activity stops! You might see a soft white figure of a girl playing in the library or the outline of a man working in the back yard while a woman sips tea and reads a book in the porch, but besides these echoes from the past the activity has stopped... He doesn't know how you did it, but he buys you a whole new book series you had coveted for some time now in thanks.

The house still has it's reputation, and so every Halloween kids ask for tours of the house, for him and you to tell the story of it, to talk about the ghosts. At first he's reluctant to bring it up because... we... ghosts... He's scared he'll call them back. But once you explain what really happened, he's more at ease with it and finally accepts to open the house to tours during October, giving out candy, letting the kids use the telescope as well, ending with a big Halloween party on the 31st where the kids, their parents, and you all have fun with classic games, cake, snacks, and more candy. Yes, his coworkers were right, it was a good investment to buy this house...

Got the mountain of auto-cancelled MH orders relisted for Aug 21 so they’ll end right around payday and give me a little time to catch up on paperwork if I can.

Paid for the Mandarake order but ouch oof ouch that shipping that doubled the price of the doll alone. Well Haruka DOES have her box, and $313 total is a decent price for everything I ordered. Not great, but decent...

Actually I went looking for info about the 60cm Nano Haruka x Momolita collab to see if either of the outfits she comes with were designed by Momolita/her defaults, and can’t find ANYTHING other than the Mandarake sales photos for that exact doll.

Lots of pics of the 1/6th versions, though, and it looks like Momolita does Blythe, now.

She’s going to need a lot of work just to stay together. That busted hip joint will be a challenge.

That Guy’s game was supposed to be delivered today but it’s delayed and won’t be delivered until tomorrow, which is still earlier than it’s original delivery date which was Monday.

I’m not expecting anything to come in today.

He’s taken the day off today so I’m trying to get all of my work done as fast as possible.

Fingernails are still firmly attached and less owie. I do generally have pain when something is on them, like a bandage? That aches. So yeah, some discomfort rn but I am tickled to have a smooth and shiny fingernail instead of um..... I don’t even know how to describe how they are naturally. Ridged and wrinkly and thin and pale and curled. I’m also hoping they’ll grow a little less curled with the polygel to use as a crutch of sorts.

Though I’d REALLY prefer if my body stopped being a piece of shit in general and they grew in properly all on their own.

I’m looking forward to using this stuff on my toenails, too, so they’ll stop splitting. My pinkie toenails have split all the way down to the root and grow in two separate nails, now. Don’t like that.

I’ll do a proper affiliate link review eventually, I guess. Not that I get many monies through that venue. It’s like $40/year if I’m lucky. But it’s also not like I’m really TRYING. Honestly the new tax thing slowed me down on that, just as much as me losing interest did. It never was really worth my time. My personality doesn’t suit sales.

Feeling Scattered

We stopped by the title agency this morning so Nancy could sign the documents for passing along the house to the new owners. Thanks to some minor hassles with the HVAC part of the list of fixes, the actual closing date has been moved from Tuesday, April 23, to Thursday, April 25, so the financial windfall will be delayed another couple of days. But it's a minor thing, and, according to our realtor, not that unusual.

Later Nancy went down to the piano dealer and got a check for her beloved Yamaha. She was waiting to see if someone would actually buy it, which would net her more money, but with our move imminent, she called and requested a check and then went to pick it up. She had the opportunity to bid farewell to her piano again.

While Nancy was on the phone with the realtor this morning, going over more details, I moved things around in the office and took down the big desk. It was too wide and too tall, so I lowered the legs, removed the shelf originally intended to hold a big PC tower, and with Nancy's assist was able to move it into the front patio. That made it easier for the fellow who came later to haul it and some other items away.

It also really cleared out the office, which had been dominated by the big desk for my entire time here. And it made room to vacuum up years of accumulated dirt and dust.

For all the effort to keep the computers running, we'll be shutting down the WiFi and the cable box tomorrow and returning those pieces of equipment to the cable company. And dropping off the TV as a donation. We'll be getting something newer and larger and clearer—without sales tax—once we get to Oregon.

Good content after content and more content.

Originally, after the music video was released during the comeback, there was a gap of a few days between the appearance on music broadcast.

Usually, this period was spent in anticipation, looking at social media news, previews, and small content. Or watching the music video over and over again while anxiously waiting for the broadcast to air…

-Ahhhh, Eugene finally put on the guard uniform ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ wtf I’m so happy, I can barely breathe. Wear your uniform loosely, my baby.

It’s completely changed.

The fan community and SNS were flooded with all kinds of spoilers, strategies, videos, and screenshots, it was truly a celebration.

(t/n: “it was truly a celebration”: I didn’t know whether to change it to “it felt like Christmas” because in this context it felt like fans were getting so much content/fanservice similar to the feeling of getting lots of gifts on Christmas.)

TeSTAR placed a lenient rule that the ‘normal ending’ and ‘bad ending can only be streamed.

The reason for such an unconventional attempt in the first place was to spread the word of mouth and because it’s a promotional opportunity that couldn’t be missed.

Besides, if you wanted to experience it for yourself, you have to buy the album anyway.

The ‘code’ on the photocard, which opens the locked door at the ending, belongs to one account, so pirates couldn’t see the ending!

-LOL you’re a bitch.

-But I’m worried that it’ll be pirated soon because they’re good at making all kinds of cracks ㅠㅠㅠ

-However, it seems like the sales are doing okay since it’s released. Oh, it’s great that the USB is counted by album sales.

-it’s really a new worldview, fun fun

In addition, the lyrics, music, and concept photos that can be downloaded from the game title received favorable reviews for the unique emotions they provide when looking back after playing the game.

-The game deepens the narrative of the album… Fuck I hated the worldview so much. I can’t believe they made me say that.

Overall, it was a unique attempt.

And it was completely unexpected.

It was because of Lee Sejin’s shocking prologue that it was easy to get reactions and the WeTube scene came out well, so it was a win-win.

Of course, there were fights and noises as tastes and evaluations went back and forth, but even that was a hot topic.

It was a promotion that I couldn’t ask for.

-If I order now from the official website, will it arrive tomorrow?? I took the bus to the store, and it was sold out.

Thanks to this, album sales were soaring tremendously. Simple components such as a USB, recycled paper box, and photocard, lower the barrier to entry by allowing users to purchase the album without burden.

This was just the beginning of all this typhoon-like activity.

Homma was playing the game like crazy.

The balance of thrill with a cinematic live-action structure, interactive choices, and luck elements that do not require much control… It did a great job appealing to the people.

Thanks to this, she was devoting all her free time to playing.

“The scene of Moondae is really pretty…”

Currently, I was replaying the VER 2 album, which mainly features Prisoner Moondae. When playing as a prisoner through the VER 2 USB album, the chapter started from the past perspective of Park Moondae and Cha Eugene.

-Oh, the two of them are having a heated argument in the lab, but I’m scared of them all.

ㄴ?? Wasn’t it very sad and pitiful?

ㄴ?? What choice did you have?

ㄴ Exactly your choice.

Also, in the latter half of the episode, there was an event where the thieves wore prison uniforms when they were caught, and an event where they overpowered the guards and made them wear prison uniforms.

-Moondae throwing his prison uniform at Keunse seems to have personal feelings, but it’s not acting, it’s like they’re really friends.

ㄴ LOL

During the playthrough, I was able to find out a little bit about the identity of the experiments the prisoners were being subjected to.

-Complaints of dizziness, hallucinations, and headaches.]

'Hmm, psychic? Is this an experiment to create something similar?'

For some reason, it felt like an American sensibility... It was definitely a bit weird and creepy that way.

Anyway, Cha Eugene seemed to have an extraordinary mind and a very developed sixth sense, and Moondae seemed to be able to use telekinesis!

‘……Although he vomited blood.’

After recreating the scene in the music video where the surveillance camera explodes and seeing the bad ending where the gate collapses, she sealed away her telekinetic powers.......

Album VER 2's prisoner POV playthrough felt like that.

A story similar to the Phantom Thieves POV, but more desolate and focused on facilities.

However, the VER 3 album was a little different.

In the case of this camp of guards, we took a slightly special structure....

It was a play that started from Lee Sejin's perspective and cooperated with the phantom thieves.

-Shh.

-…!

-Be quiet and follow me.

‘Omg.’

It’s like he’s sick of the facility and pretend not to show it… It seemed like he was a guard on our side. Of course, the truth is, I was planning to catch them all at last minute, so they don’t steal them.

Is what Lee Sejin said while humming to himself.

-It’s nice~ They come on their own and break the rules…

‘Evil!’

VER 1, the first experience with the intensity of the prologue made it powerful!

Thanks to this, VER 3 has a strange structure which made the players dizzy wondering when they will get back stabbed.

‘Hmm, was this because I played as a Phantom Thief first?’

“Uh, wait. Come to think of it.”

Was the order really intentional?

Homma suddenly have an idea.

They key shape in the music video… it’s the same of the USB in the VER 1 album.

The other two look slightly different from the music video.

When selling, it was shown on the product page. People who were only going to buy one album would obviously buy VER 1.

Before that, I bought the album reservation without any information knowing that it would come in a set.

‘And those who bought all 3 must’ve played VER 1 first since it was in the music video.’

Don’t you think it was strange?

That means that the players will experience playing as phantom thieves before exploring the story of the prisoners and camp guard.

After experiencing the first version, you can continue discovering new things while maintaining the thrill in the other versions.

‘And.’

Homma gapped.

She was unable to process the detailed structured to prevent multiple playthroughs being boring. Even if she didn’t know the game well, it was very touching.

‘Oh my god,’

Anyways, let’s talk about it.

In VER 3, the phantom thieves were able to accompany Lee Sejin and wore blue navy unforms!

There was no longer an option to hide from the guards.

Instead, an event occurs where you can access the facility's documents or find more information.

-Keep It Safe, hence 'KIS'.... What do you mean by “keeping safe”?

-Um, the people outside?

-…From what?

-From all danger? Hey, I don't know either~ How would the employees know that?

Fortunately, Lee Sejin's values become slightly shaken when the phantom thieves cooperate with the prisoners and build some friendships with them.

This is because we learn that the two prisoners were imprisoned even though they had not broken any rules.

-I was kidnapped.

-Me too.

-……Hmm.

And through various events, he comes to accept Ryu Chungwoo's proposal to join as a phantom thief.

-Is that so?

-…!

-It’s almost time for me to change jobs since my annual leave is coming to an end.

“Oh oh!

This way, he was succeeded in seducing many TeSTARs, including the guard, Lee Sejin…

She watched only the normal ending to the end.

‘Why!?’

Although I was exposed to spoilers for Moondae’s syringe options, I made the right choice and saw the phantom thief’s uniform… It was in the normal ending back then too.

“What…?’

About Ahyeon… Is It because you’re so scared that you couldn’t approach Ahyeon or seduce him.

[We left this damn facility.]

It’s like this every time and the ending credits roll with after content!

Anyways, all that’s left is Park Moondae’s amazing thighs… That’s it.

So, this time she was really prepared.

“Let’s do this…”

Homma looked up a strategy while avoiding spoilers as much as possible and sat down in front of the computer again, clenching both hands.

Found it! The True Ending conditions!

‘First if all, you have to play VER 1 first…’

She clicked on the game icon and quicky played through it.

Now for the strategy.

-No matter which faction you are in, make everyone except Seon Ahyeon your comrades and then meet Ahyeon in front of the final gate!

‘I guess the dice came up when I was hiding was a hint!’

That wasn’t entirely the ‘right’ option.

If you meet without recruiting all your friends, it’s game over, but if you meet with all your friends, a true ending event will occur!

‘Good.’

Then the fateful moment.

-If you just turn there…

Homma closed her eyes tightly and ignored the ‘hide’ option.

Finally…

Tap, tap.

Bae Sejin, who had put the key in the lock pad, flinched and looked back.

From around the corner, a blonde guard in a navy-blue uniform came out, starting with military boots.

The screen froze.

“Whoa.”

Homma clenched her fists and…

-……

The background music flowed into emptiness.

Seon Ahyeon stared at the key Bae Sejin was holding.

Next, he glances at the six people standing around, dressed in the same style.

After alternating shots and breathtaking close-up scenes…

The guard opened his mouth.

-There it is.

-…!

-The jewel.

Homma covered her mouth.

‘Omg!’

Yes!

A gem that the phantom thieves tried to find, but ultimately concluded it was false information spread by this facility to capture test subjects.

Tutaculum really exists… Seon Ahyeon informed me.

Then, he turned around and started walking away again without shaking.

Tap, tap.

On the screen, Bae Sejin swallowed his saliva.

-…What should I do?

[Follow. -Trust]

[Ignore. -Disbelief]

“……After,”

This is unconditional.

Homma quickly clicked 'Follow', and naturally the characters on the screen followed Seon Ahyeon.

Seon Ahyeon passed the outskirts of the complex facility several times, moving at a speed that was not very considerate.

Down, down.

Overcome a couple of light dice decisions....

-…Where?

We arrived in front of a small iron gate.

Next to it is a locking pad like the entrance.

With modern organ BGM playing, Seon Ahyeon stood next to the iron gate.

The six members with the keys approached the lock pad.

Only then did the blonde guard open his mouth.

-Obverse.

'... obverse?'

I decided to record it on a voice recorder app on my phone, then that is the origin of Ebook Assistant. There is more to the story, and I hope to share it later, yet also I have to give credit to a video I watched that encouraged me to take action on this, and it ended with this saying, "enough thinking about it, just go do it". Start Somewhere

Write it, Record it in audio or video on your phone, write it on a piece of cardboard from a container you are putting in the trash, or sit down at your computer and type it. Just get it down and take action now, or reserve a day this week or weekend to start.

Direct Your Sail Boat - Mind Setting and Mindset

Set your mind on this: You Can Do This! I believe in you. Write down on a piece of paper something like the, 'I will have my ebook online for sale by tomorrow, and then I will promote it and I will earn money from the sales of my ebook in a month or less'

Do this, it does wonders for your chances of succeeding. Then understand that Setting your Sail Boat direction is pointing yourself in the right direction to achieve landing at your goal, and I have gladly provided a well-planned map for you. Just read until the end and save it to your bookmarks - favorites or download it.

Meditation - Thankfulness - Calmness, & Prayer

No special instructions really here, it is just something that most people overlook. Do these things above, and the better you ask for prayer to God for success than not, even if you do not believe in God, i think you will be glad to have God on your side. Be thankful for your opportunity to do this. Meditate or just quietly focus a few minutes, and do some things that allow you to be calm. I turn down the lights and play some water sounds from YouTube sometimes as I write.

Go to Your Happy Place

Try to get to a quiet place you can write. I know of friends that have their office in their closet, and one that has an office the size of a phone booth (look it up if you do not know what a phone booth is, it is small). I saw it, and it was amazing. Worst case, if you have a loud home, you may have to sit in the bathroom, or in a car. I see people often film YouTube videos from their car, so you would not be the first to have to do this. When you are filming or recording it is required to have quiet. It is very important to you, and it is okay to talk aloud to yourself or ideas.

Go to where you can get your ebook writing done with quietness, focus, without restriction on your emotions, and thoughts.

The Idea

This is the most important part. It is the seed your ebook masterpiece grows from. Protect it and expand it. It will be a complete ebook soon. You will be able to share your idea and influence improvement in complete strangers, while earning.

Outline (The First Draft of Table of Contents)

How will you record it: pen/pencil paper, typewriter (explain for younger audience), phone voice recorder (app suggestion), word processor Google Dogs

Cover - Make it Now or at End -

I do recommend Canva.com for your cover creation. Just search for ebook cover once you login with your free login. I would recommend editing an existing cover. I usually just use a cover that gets my attention over all others. I try to imitate some cover that comes from a bestselling book that I see when searching for bestselling book book covers. I just use there idea as inspiration for mine, and I do not use the same cover idea. An example is if a top book has a all white modern background with one big word on it. I may use that same idea, and the word will be different and it may be in different colors. Remember you have to be 31 percent different to avoid copyright errors.

Research - How to Do

Keep it simple and this will work for every book you ever write. Look up the top listings, sort by page views or likes, for at least a month in history, and write on what they talk or write about - do not copy , just write on similar topic, even same name, if it is something that is common like: how to use Google docs for example . Although you can make your name better, by adding some good things and combining with things others are talking of in their posts or videos

Record it - Document it

again, How will you record it: pen/pencil paper, typewriter (this is the thing that we made books with before computers, it has a keyboard and a piece of paper that comes out just above the keyboard), phone voice recorder (app suggestion), word processor Google Dogs

Get it in Writing - Write It - Use AI ChatGPT or Bard

If this is your first use of ChapGPT or Bard A.I. (artificial intelligence, yet i prefer assisted intelligence); you are in for a treat. It is like searching on Google, yet, you just say things (called Prompts). An example is "tell me a list of 5 books about writing I should read" or "write me 10 titles for a book about romance that is set in Paris" . It will give you some amazing results. Go here to get a free account and get started in the A.I. age of enlightment:

So, you see, probably not the title you would have written.

Let's say you wrote your idea on a napkin at lunch, now you need to get it in computer file on your word processor. If you recorded with voice recorder app for Google, then you can just export, or save the transcript to Google Drive or Docs. (explain More)

Summarize (This is Great for All, and Not Done by Many)

Simple - Just cover again the main big points that you talked of. Basically if you talked of 20 points, then you can summarize them all in 5 to 7 big sections. This meaning that your outline can be 10 to 20 points, yet it should be divided into about 5 to 7 bigger headings that contain these 10 to 20 points or sub-sections

Edit it and Add Your Style to it

Now Edit (cleaning for authors and writers): and Keep Your Style or Add your new style. I suggest this order of editing: Spell Check, Grammer Check, Add Paragraph every 5 to 7 Lines (where thoughts change), and Add SEO (keywords) use Find and Replace (explain)

ReRead it (Proofreading, Format, Cover, Guest Reader)

Cover - Make sure it good and looks like something that is a successful ebook or book. Search Google for best sellers, and look at the Image results. Pick the one that stands on the page, and imitate that style

Guest reader, Beta Reader - A beta-reader is the B reader or second reader of your ebook. They can read it and give you notes on changes and fixes. Preferably a friend, Post a entry on Facebook and ask for a few readers to message you for a free copy (2 at most, I guess because of time constraint) and turn away the others. Say in the post you are only accepting two, so act fast, because you have a deadline of 2 to 4 hours. Implement fixes that are suggested and are appropriate.

Post it to Internet for Sale

Market and Promote it

Social Media, I prefer Pinterest, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts or Videos - in this order. Just post about your creation. I suggest pages from your ebook pictures (use screen shot or screen capture it is on your phone or computer), cover pictures, videos, how-to's, short videos of you or words on a presentation videos use Canva, and why you want to help them as content.

Share it on video if you like. The key here is to post daily for weeks afterward. If you found your passion (the thing you would write on even when you do not want to write) then posting will be great.

Setup a free ConvertKit account and make a Landing Page. Give them a one-page summary of your book for signing up on your landing page or some useful checklist. Put this link as the link they buy from (if you use it), and make the link shorter by using site TinyURL.com.

Get Sales -How to Write a Ebook that Sells

Make sure you include a link to two places to buy it. I suggest one place to buy as Amazon, then I suggest two being a free one or Etsy. I say this because if for some reason Amazon closes your account, you need a backup. Really it is better practice to have both Amazon and one other.

Now What - Expectations

You can expect to feel drained from writing. It takes much out of you, and it expands your thinking. You can expect to have mixed feelings or success from writing, then maybe sadness if you do not get sales or "signals" from the Internet. Signals are some one liking your content on social media, or comment on your posts. It takes a week or so. Stay in it and post daily. It will happen. Stay small, do not try to do everything. Only have at most 2 of each social media, sales pages, etc. AND please do contact us at Ebook Assistant to get help, proofreading or evaluation of your work before posting, technical help, and/or if we need to explain something further or edit this post

Article Summary

We have here about 15 points that basically are in about 4 main sections: The Idea and Mindset, Writing the Book, Placing Online to Sell, and Marketing and Promotion. You will do good to follow this outline, and add to it as-needed. Make sure you do some mindset preparations, and train on AI with the help of YouTube videos. It will greatly improve your ebooks and save you much time. Implement Canva not only for covers, also try to use Canva to do the entire book. Canva also make video easy, so you can make video in Canva to produce your marketing and promotional content. AI is the future, so learning it now will be great for you. And your AI books will be using the latest technology while also improving with the expanded knowledge AI can add to your ebooks.

Congratulations - All of That in 1 day is a Large Accomplishment

Do not worry - Do it in a Weekend, or A Week if you Want - And View Videos on YouTube for direction, just try not to sit and scroll videos to long. If you focus for 1 full day on only this, you will be done. And have confidence to write more while promoting on social media.

Do all of this and you will have become a published author, or if you are already a published author you have a really useful checklist and you may write and publish your first book in one day. Hey everyone!!

Mail has been cut off and now I gotta play tetris with my backpack for my flighty tomorrow. I'll be having a sale, and will always be available to talk to via here or my store's contact info/email.

[y/n] quietly watched the Weasley “W” fade from the air as the other students began to head back inside. Once there was no longer any evidence that there were ever any fireworks in the sky, [y/n]’s hand found the locket again. She was shaken from her trance when she realized she’d never opened it. Guilt washed over her as she wondered if Fred would have wanted to see her reaction to whatever was inside, and then she felt worried that maybe nothing was inside. Shakily, she pulled the necklace so she could see the dangling piece of silver and opened the locket.

Inside was a picture she’d forgotten even existed. [y/n] was standing beside Fred on the castle steps outside the Yule Ball. He had on a smart suit and her hair fell delicately on her shoulders. Fred’s arm was draped around her in the loose way it did before they started dating. She remembered that George was behind the camera, and she and Fred were laughing at something he’d said. As they laughed in the photo, Fred’s arm tightened and pulled [y/n] closer to him. She could still remember the butterflies in her stomach as he did so too. [y/n] felt tears prick her eyes as she watched the two of them in the locket. Out of all the photos and memories she and Fred had, he had chosen this one for her to wear around her neck. He’d picked a photo that was taken only a couple hours before he’d nervously admitted that he fancied her and she'd first felt his soft lips on hers.

She closed the locket gently and refused to let the tears fall from her eyes as she walked back into the castle. [y/n] traipsed through the mess in the Great Hall corridor and her eyes fell on one of the only Educational Decrees still mostly intact on the floor. Her eyes lit up as she read it, and immediately she picked it up, knowing exactly where it belonged.

[y/n] knocked on the door of the Weasley twins’ shop, a brown paper package clutched nervously in her hand and the silver locket hung dutifully around her neck. Fred opened the door and pulled her into a tight embrace.

“What’s this?” Fred gestured to the package as he led her inside. George was painting one of the shelves on the wall on the floor above them and gave [y/n] a wide grin before rushing down for his own hug.

[y/n] told Fred and George about the day they'd left. She told Fred about how she’d opened the locket just after he’d left and how touched she’d been. Then she told them about how she’d found an Educational Decree only slightly frayed by the chaos, and how she’d framed it as a good-luck gift for their shop.

The look in Fred’s eyes as she spoke was distant, he was so overjoyed to be reunited with the love of his life that he barely even registered the fact that she’d omitted which Decree she’d found.

“What’s it say?” George asked, and [y/n] handed the package to him. She looked at Fred, expecting him to watch his brother open their gift, but instead saw the soft look in his eyes, which were fixed on her. [y/n] beamed and came to stand closer to him as he turned to see George pull out the orange frame.

George’s face lit up as he read the words on the paper, “Oi, this is perfect!” Then he turned it for Fred to see. [y/n] looked up at her boyfriend and watched a cheeky smile spread across his face. He looked down at her in disbelief as George propped up the frame on the check-out counter.

Fred shook his head and kissed his girlfriend’s forehead excitedly, “What would I do without you…”

[y/n]’s hand pressed to her chest, atop her locket, as Fred leaned across her to re-examine the rule Umbridge had put into place back at Hogwarts.

“Educational Decree Number 30 - ALL WEASLEY PRODUCTS WILL BE BANNED IMMEDIATELY.”
