Headcanons for Languages the Gang Can Speak:

Darry: Spanish. He started learning it when he was about four/five years old from an elderly neighbor that lived nearby. He's really fluent and can roll his rs like a pro.

Ponyboy: French. He began learning it in middle school and continued to learn it throughout high school. His pronunciation is flawless and he can do a spot on French accent.

Two-Bit: Greek. His grandparents from his father's side immigrated from Greece when they were young. Mr. Mathews taught Two-Bit the language and it was a great bonding experience for them. Nowadays whenever Two remembers how close they had gotten during the lessons, it makes him sad, due to the fact that his father left.

Johnny: Italian. His father was from Italy and doesn't speak English well. This means that he only ever spoke Italian to his son, which results in it being Johnny's first language. His mother then forced him to learn English.

♡

Sodapop: Also Spanish. He learned it from Darry and many others who spoke it. He isn't as fluent as Darry is, but he knows enough that he's able to communicate.

♡

Steve: German. His dad immigrated from Germany when he was young, and speaks almost no English. That leads to Steve learning to speak German first before English, which he learned in school.

♡

Dallas: Russian and Hebrew. Both his parents were from Russia and couldn't speak a lick of English. So he grew up speaking Russian and learned Hebrew from them (I hc that he's Jewish.) After they died, he was placed in foster care and forced to learn English. He only ever speaks that now, and he only speaks Russian when he is very angry and/or very emotional.

Tmnt 2012 hc:

I think that if the turtles were humanized they would all be black and/or blasian since they’re siblings and would have to have the same genetic tree (in 2012 I’m pretty sure they’re biologically related). However I love idea that they have slight differences between them since they hang out in different areas in nyc (a diverse city with a bunch of different cultures that I think would really interest them).

So anyways I hc that Splinter brought them all up to be bilingual, however Raph and Donnie aren’t as good at Japanese anymore since I think they aren’t as good with languages and they would consume a lot of English content growing up + Leo probably started translating Splinter for them and they kinda stopped needing to use it, so it faded a bit. I think Raph stopped speaking Japanese but can still understand it and could speak it (with some grammar and pronunciation errors) in a pinch. Donnie rarely speaks Japanese but he speaks it from time to time with Splinter, Leo, or Mikey. Leo is probably fluent in Japanese and English and I think her (Leo is transfem in my books) and Mikey can read Japanese while Raph and Donnie can’t. However, I think that Leo code switches and sometimes makes tiny grammar/pronunciation errors, with Mikey being the best at Japanese of all their (Mikey is aroace gender-fluid) siblings.

I don’t think Raph is a big language buff (unlabeled he/him non binary Raph supremacy), so he probably just knows English and Japanese. Meanwhile, I think Donnie knows code languages and probably taught themself (They/them for Donnie, source: me) obscure/dead/constructed languages like Esperanto or Latin. Leo probably can understand/read Spanish to some extent, though she’s barely conversational speaking it. She might also know certain phrases in a bunch of different languages since I hc that she wants to travel. Mikey, in my opinion, will be the best at picking up languages, probably fluent in Latin American Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and Cantonese, conversational in Italian and Korean, and has begun to pick up some Haitian Creole (though her pronunciation isn’t good because she probably sounds either very American or has WAY to heavy of an accent). They also codeswitch and mesh together languages pretty often, so his siblings have begun to pick up a bit of their languages, especially Leo (how she learned Latin American Spanish)

I think they speak primarily English among themselves and Japanese/English with Splinter, who is plays a little game with himself when he hears music to guess the language it’s in

- not good at teaching but will try every method with you

- understands if you want to give up, wont be pushy about it because he sometimes realizes the fact that he is grunting but in a organized way

- if you do end up becoming fluent, he'll be over the moon, praying someone doesnt use hippo slang while talking to you

Great Tiger

- happy that youre willing to spend your time to understand him better

- understands your annoyance, still thinks its funny

- will get his clones to help you out by playing out scenarios for you with them

- will teach you slang if youre planning to meet his younger family members because he doesnt want you to stay flabbergasted

- will teach you some mild insults just for funsies

Don Flamenco

- devious about the fact that he can rizz you up in 3 or 2 more languages now

- will learn your native language just so he can flirt with you

- ever wanted someone to teach you spanish on the kitchen table at 2 AM romantically? youre in luck!

- can and will teach you how to curse, hell yeah bestie go off on whoever you want whenever you want!!

- has to hold in his laughter if you happen to mispronounce anything

Soda Popinski

- happy but isnt expecting your efforts to last long

- god forbid you want to learn cursive

- good at teaching suprisingly

- will learn your native language if you somehow learn russian

- willing to teach you how to curse if you get good enough, you earned it

- laughs, not because he doesnt trust you but because he can gossip with you more

- slang? Dont worry about it, turkish slang is full turkglish 90% of the time (turkglish is what is sounds like, turkish + english)

- speaking of turkglish, will speak in turkglish with you in front of other boxers to confuse them

The boys learning each others languages

Jiang (Chinese/Korean)

K struggling to speak Chinese but Swan is great at it

Jiang constantly having to correct Skov on the inflections in Chinese

Swan helping Proko with the alphabet in Korean cause he can't for the life of him wrap his head around it

Skov and K arguing about certain Korean words whilst Jiang sits back knowing both of them are wrong

Proko genuinely tears up when Jiang passes him a list of basic words in Chinese

K laughs at him

Jiang comforts him and says he doesn't have to learn Chinese

Skov says its not fair and get hit in the eye with an eraser

Swan can hold basic convos in Chinese with Jiang but cant read it

Skov learns as many insults as he can in both Korean and Chinese

everyone gets excited when they finally recognise some of the words Jiang says to his mum on call

They all agree to collectively throw Chinese out the window and just learn Korean

Kavinsky (Bulgarian)

They all know a few words due to Kav blasting Bulgarian rap all the time

All of them (except Jiang) know/ understand the Cyrillic alphabet

Skov learns all the swear words first

Swan is ready to punch him

Proko learns the history behind the language and ends up learning old 12-16th century words

K is ready to punch him

Jiang stared at the alphabet for a solid 5 mins in confusion

" what the fuck is that?" *points at Ж*

K downloads (in a totally legal way. yup.) primary school lessons for Jiang

J actually uses them

Its one of the easier languages they learn together

Skov (Ukrainian)

Skov starts by teaching them how to cuss someone out RIGHT in Ukranian

J mixes up Ш and Щ

K says its far too easy (he forgets simple words)

Proko learns the history behind it again

he also learns the national anthem on a dare and hums it to himself often

Skov is a shit teacher

Swan takes over

Jiang thanks him endlessly

Kav switches the tv subtitles over to Ukrainian and they all realise its way easier to learn a language like that

Proko now knows exactly how to argue back with Skov and everyone is ready to bury them both

along with Bulgarian, Ukrainian is the easiest language they learn

Proko (Russian/Belarusian)

we all what Skov is going to do by now (he already knows a lot of swears in Russian)

Proko does a crash course in the history of the languages and their roots/links to other slavic languages

everyone is actually interested

K becomes obsessed with Russian pop and rap songs

Jiang is getting really good at Slavic languages now and he's really proud of himself (the others are too)

Swan excels at both as usual (smart motherfucker)

Jiang finds himself using Russian the most out of all their languages (except his own ofc)

Skov prefers using Russian cuss words cause he says they sound more aggressive

Proko and Skov decided to put different anime and cartoons into Russian dub and couldn't stop laughing and trying to copy it

K was unimpressed

Jiang asks Proko to teach him the history behind the other slavic languages they've learned

Belarussian is used less frequently between them all but they hear it from Proko when his dad calls

K learns Belarussian first cause he likes Prokos dad

Swan (English/French/Quechua)

Swan helps the boys in English class with essays and such

Proko and Jiang mix up their grammar sometimes and Swan helps correct them

K likes to ask him what random words mean, he thinks it annoys him but Swan enjoys teaching

Skov makes fun of him if he accidently misspells something

"you don't know how to spell something in your own language?!"

Skov misspells words in Ukrainian all the time but denies it

Proko hears Swan speaking French to his mum and falls in love a little

Jiang asks Swan to translate random sentences into French, just to hear him speak it

K hates learning French, calls it "stupid fancy English with shitty letters"

Jiang struggles with learning the silent letters and sounds

Its the easiest language they learn, but they almost never use it except with Swans mother

Swan only speaks Quechua with his dad (his dad is from Peru)

He refuses to teach the boys Quechua

My Jason Todd Language Headcanons:

I love the idea of Jason knowing a bunch of languages, especially because I headcanon him as mixed ethnicity (I consider Gotham to be a high immigrant city like New York and that's especially visible in the poorer areas Jason grew up in), so here we go.

Jason is primarily Hispanic/Caucasian/Thai, with a couple other things thrown in that he's never bothered to figure out. The Thai is on Sheila's side of the family, so he never interacted much with that part of his heritage, but he grew up speaking as much Spanish as English with the Todd's.

Jason's usual babysitter when he was growing up was an old Russian woman who lived in the same apartment building. He picked up the language from her, as well as some early cooking skills.

When Jason was adopted by Bruce he picked up Yiddish around the house(Let Bruce by Jewish DC!), Learned French at school, and learned Greek because Diana taught him some and he was so starstruck that he immediately threw himself into learning the rest of the language.

This is when he found out that knowing more languages allowed him to read literature in those languages, which had a strong effect on his desire to learn.

During this time he also learned a lot of language tricks from Dick. I headcanon the circus Dick grew up in as having a lot of people from different ethnicities, so Dick not only learned several of them but also got a grasp of the phonetics of even more. He helped Jason figure out how to learn to pronounce new languages. It was a good moment of bonding for them.

During his time with the League of Assassin's he learned several more, both because he needed to understand his teachers and because they wanted to make sure he could work anywhere in the world, mainly: Arabic, the League dialect of Arabic, Farsi, Japanese, Mandarin, and Portuguese.

I think that Dick actually can communicate in more languages and dialects, but Jason is better at figuring out stuff like slang or manners. Regardless, their definitely the best at languages in the family.

I’ve had this ask in my inbox for months…I am so sorry it took this long to get it out, but I appreciate you sending it, and I have been working on it!

I’ve put the headcanons into sections and subsections to ease any confusion. The full post can be found below the cut because it is long, lol…Enjoy!

Physical

Freckles: When Zach exposes himself to sunlight his freckles from childhood come out again, and not just on his face. I feel like he is the type of person who has freckles on his face, arms, back, and chest. But he does not like that, so he stays out of the sun for this reason.

Body/Facial Hair: Zach is more than capable of growing a full beard, and he has body hair elsewhere, but he either waxes or shaves it (let’s be honest, he gets the Zachbots to do it, haha). Zach is very neat and orderly, so he does not like to have an excessive amount of hair aggravating him, managing the hair on his head on a daily basis is bad enough. He likes to have his triangular goatee though, so he keeps that on his face.

Wavy/Curly Hair: Zach’s hair is naturally wavy/curly. He uses hair gel to keep it tamed and slick. If he does not tame it after it gets wet it starts to get wavy immediately, which he detests.

Eyes: (This is implied in canon too) Zach’s eye color changes depending on his emotions and the environment he is in. His eyes range from emerald to an electric green.

Family/Lineage

Siblings/Twin: My personal headcanon for Zach is that he had an identical twin brother, Zebulon, Zeb, Varmitech. This twin died when they were children, leaving Zach as the only child who was thus spoiled by his parents as they poured all their energy and affection into Zach while they mourned the loss of Zeb. Zach’s favorite number is 22 because this was the day his twin was born. Zach was born a few minutes later in the early morning hours on the 23rd.

Parents: Zach’s parents are Victor and Valerie Varmitech. Victor was the CEO of Varmitech Industries before his death. Valerie is the proprietor of a flower shop.

Lineage: Zach is of Irish, English, Scottish, Greek, and Italian descent. On the paternal side of his family Zach’s ancestors were English, Greek, and Italian. The maternal side of Zach’s family is of Irish, English, and Scottish descent.

Languages

Zach is able to communicate or understand a few languages besides English. He can speak and/or read in Spanish, Italian, and Mandarin for business purposes.

Intelligence/Schooling

Zach was a straight A student throughout his academic career, due to his high grades and intelligence, he skipped a grade in school. Allowing him to graduate from high school a year early at the age of 17. Zach went to a well respected private school which the Kratt Brothers also attended. Zach then attended college and graduated at the age of 22 with a Masters Degree. He majored in robotics engineering and minored in mechanical engineering, computer science, and artificial intelligence (I’m not too smart on all of this, I’m still researching it myself, so let’s hope this makes sense, lol).

Athletic Capability

Contrary to popular belief, Zach participated in some sports as a youth/teen, the first of which was fencing which he picked up at summer camp, but Zach also was a talented swimmer. Aided by his thin body, long feet, and extra toe of course. He became educated in dancing. He is excellent at waltzing and knows a bit of ballet.

Birthday/Zodiac Sign

Zach’s definitely a fall baby in my book, the way he loves Halloween just makes me think he’s connected to this season on a deeper level (like myself, a fellow fall baby), and I headcanon his birthday as October 23. The reason I believe his birthday is on this date is because he exhibits many of the characteristics of Scorpios.

Scorpios are persistent, strategic, strong, enigmatic, independent, smart, loyal, vengeful, and shrewd. Scorpios keep to themselves, they enjoy excelling at work and are always working, the are drawn to dark things and may have evil intentions, and they can have an addictive and charming personality among other traits. Zach is all of this, and he uses these traits to his advantage.

Philanthropy

We all know Zach despises nature and animals, and he’s hyper focused on himself and his wants and needs, but he and his company do give to important causes. Cancer research and cancer hospitals are at the top of the list, as his father and brother passed from cancer. The company also gives to education purposes. They fund scholarships for youth interested in science, robotics, and engineering.

Voice

Zach’s voice is naturally deeper than the octave he usually speaks in. He speaks in a higher octave because he thinks it makes people pay greater attention to him. Similarly, Zach has an amazing singing voice, he even took choir in middle school. He just hides his singing voice because he was ridiculed during a chorus performance when he was ill.

Sexuality

Zach is Demiromantic. Zach has a hard time connecting with people romantically, but when he does it is a strong, unbreakable connection. He has to build trust with his partner to be able to love them and fully commit to them, and since this is so difficult for him to do he’s open to being in a romantic relationship with anyone so long as they show him the love and commitment he so craves.

so gooood morning i have a headcanon under the cut

talking to chaim earlier and we were discussing languages and basically i realized that chongyun can speak two, almost three languages fluently. liyue's national language, common tongue in order to speak with those in other nations, and chongyun also speaks ancient liyuen. or liyue tongue, i forget what people refer to it as.

but also because of the relics chongyun's had in their clan for centuries, chongyun also taught themself basic words and phrases of khaenri'ah's language. chongyun is far from fluent, but they can speak the most basic words/phrases to get by.

I was going to answer this with a bunch of links to other posts, but then everything I’ve ever written is impossible to find/sort on Tumblr.edu so. Uh. I got frustrated and never answered this.

The short answer is Yes!

I think he’s very good at languages. Primarily, he knows English, French, and Spanish. Most other languages he can quickly pick up and speak— even if he isn’t good at writing or reading them. He also focuses on the languages that are most useful for him in that moment: so, like, during the Cold War he was very good at Russian.

Yeah

🙌 Apparently on Gallifrey accents work different than on Earth: rather than being learned in the first few years of life, they’re related to the current body. The Doctor isn’t particularly good at affecting an accent, but he is good at accidentally regenerating an accent.

Meanwhile the Winters are what, a family of five elderly humans from 5 different future centuries? Their accents stopped changing a long time ago when they were 12 year old, as well as being different from each other due to language evolution and them being from different centuries as well as neighborhoods, as people from diff neighborhoods have diff accents from each other.

Roberts Master inherited Bruce’s American accent, and if KoT isn’t a fever dream, then Ainley Master inherited Tremas’ Trakenite accent.

What about the doctors natural accent then. When he’s speaking in Gallifreyan.

I’d assume:

1 has a standard gallifreyan accent.

2 propably too but younger-sounding.

3 has a RP accent due to the exile. He is speaking in English most of the time. Except with the master.

4 propably has the standard gallifreyan accent again. Has been speaking in English with Sarah Jane and Harry, but in gallifreyan with Leela and romana. Leela is speaking in sevateem and romana in gallifreyan too, but a more modern version.

5 has the standard gallifreyan accent and is speaking in gallifreyan. Nyssa is speaking in Trakenite. Adric is speaking in Alzarian. Tegan is speaking in a mix of English and Serbian and is hearing the space teenagers in the same mix. Turlough is a weird case, I tend to hear an accent from him. I think he learned English through psychic fast learning, and is speaking English in mawdryn undead and other cases where he’s talking to humans or at least on earth, but otherwise he’s speaking in Trion. He’s hearing tegan English in English but Tegan Serbian in Trion, and Nyssa and the Doctor he heard them in English in mawdryn undead bc it was on earth, but he heard them in Trion in Terminus. He hears Tegans accent as an Australian accent even when he hears her speaking Trion. The Doctor also hears her as such in English with the Serbian replaced with gallifreyan. Alzarian community is just the star liner and Traken propably really small, so they don’t really hear an accent or code-switching. Tegan though hears her alien TARDISmates speaking in English and Serbian at the same time depending on what fits best the speech length.

6 propably has a RP accent again but this time on accident as “it felt different this time” and he’s speaking English to peri.

And beyond that he’s starting to get British isles accents on accident.

Ok we all talk about the Pevensies' trauma at returning to Earth at the end of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and their trouble readjusting to life there again but think of all the funny/good parts too

They return from the country, and their mom is surprised when all her children hug her at the station. Even Peter, who thinks he's all grown up. Even Edmund, who went away surly and withdrawn. She doesn't know her children haven't seen her in over a decade.

They miss their dear Cair Paravel, but they absolutely do not miss its chamber pots. Indoor plumbing is amazing.

It takes a while to remember how modern technology works, though. How many heart attacks did the siblings give their parents or the professor because they walked into a dark room only to turn on the light and find the children sitting there in the dark. (They were by the window! There was still plenty of light from the sunset! They would have gotten a candle in a minute!) The kids sheepishly remember oh yeah electricity is a thing.

(Edmund has a new electric torch in Prince Caspian. He was so excited to get that torch. Almost more excited than you'd think a kid his age would be, and his parents expect Peter at least to tease him, but the siblings all agree light in your hand at the touch of a switch is terrific.)

Suddenly getting really high grades in some subjects and terrible in others. Their grammar, reading comprehension, spelling, vocab, even penmanship? Amazing. History and geography? They don't remember anything. One time in class Susan forgets Earth is round and wants to die.

Also they can never remember what the date is supposed to be because Narnia uses different months and years. They can estimate time really well by looking at the sun though, and Edmund at least can always tell which way is north etc without thinking about it (again, using the sun)

Okay but how many times did they go to pick something up or reach something and realize they are so much shorter and less muscled than they expect? It's a common sight to see Peter climbing on counters to reach a top cabinet, grumbling about how he's High King this is demeaning. (No he never takes the extra five seconds to grab a stool. He will climb that shelf.)

Peter and Susan being delighted because they are no longer almost thirty. (In a few years Edmund and Lucy will tease them about being old and their parents will not understand.)

Lucy doesn't have to deal with periods anymore for a few years yet. Susan might not either. Heck yeah

Lucy loves to climb into her siblings' laps and be cuddled. In Narnia she eventually she grew too big, but now she is small and snuggleable again. Peter is her favorite, and if she's upset, he'll tickle her and tell bad jokes until she's smiling again, but really she loves cuddling with all her family. She grew up without her parents; how many times did she just want to crawl into her mom's lap and her mom was a world away? Imagine the first time she realizes she can now. Or, imagine one day, a cold and grey sort of day, when the rain is pattering against the windows, and it sounds like the rain on the windows of the Professor's house, that first day they went exploring. It sounds like the day they played hide and seek. It sounds so like the rain on the windows of Cair Paravel, that if Lucy closes her eyes she can imagine she's back there, having tea and chatting with Mr. Tumnus before the fireplace of her room, and soon the rain will stop, and they will go out on the balcony and wave to the naiads and the dryads and the mermaids, who have come out to enjoy the rain and visit one other on the banks of the Great River winding past Cair Paravel down to the sea.

But if Lucy looks out the window, all she'll see is the rain over London, so it's not only a cold and grey sort of day, it's a lonely sort of day too.

Susan and Edmund are playing chess in the living room (and they must have studied with Professor Kirke, thinks their mother, because they certainly weren't that good when they left). Lucy goes over to Edmund, and oh dear, thinks their mother, now he's going to call her a baby and be horrible to her, but instead he picks her up and puts her on his lap without even taking his eyes off the chessboard; it's simply a matter of course.

"Doesn't the rain sound familiar?" says Lucy in a solemn, wistful way.

Their mother doesn't know what that means, but her siblings must, because Susan says, "Yes, Lu, it does,” and Edmund gives her a little hug with his free arm as she tucks herself under his chin to watch the chess match.

(Five minutes later there is a crash from the next room as Peter falls off a counter. Their mother does not understand the words he must have picked up from the Professor, but he's grounded for them anyway. His siblings have no respect for their High King, because they refuse to stop laughing.)

DP x DC: The Most Dangerous Card Game

Ok so Danny has essentially claimed earth as his. And he is fully aware that there are constant threats to the planet. Now he can’t stop a threat that originates on earth (that’s something he’ll leave to the Justice league) but he can do something about outside threats. Doing some research on ancient spells, rituals, and artifacts, he cast a world wide barrier on the planet to protect it from hostile threats so they cannot enter. This will prevent another Pariah Dark incident. However, barriers like this come at a price. You see, there are two ways to make a barrier. Either make one powered up by your own energy and power (which would be constantly draining) or set up a barrier with rules. The way magic works is that nothing can be absolutely indestructible. It must have a weakness. The most powerful barriers weren’t the ones reinforced with layer after layer of protective charms and buffed up with power. Those could eventually be destroyed either by being overpowered, wearing them down, or by cutting off the original power source. No, the most powerful barriers were the ones with a deliberate weakness. A barrier indestructible except for one spot. A cage that can only be opened from the outside. Or that can only be passed with a key or by solving a riddle. So Danny chooses this type of barrier and does the necessary ritual and pours in enough power to make it. And he adds his condition for anyone to enter.

Now the Justice league? Find out about the barrier when Trigon attempts to attack, they were preparing after he threatened what he would do once he got to earth. How he would destroy them. The Justice league tried to take the fight to him first but were utterly destroyed, so they retreated home to tend to their injuries, and fortify earth for one. Last. Stand. Only when Trigon makes his big entrance…he’s stopped.

The Justice league watch in awe as this thin see-through barrier with beautiful green swirls and speckled white lights like stars apears blocking Trigon and his army’s advance. The barrier looks so thin and fragile yet no matter how hard the warlord hits, none of his attacks can get through and neither can he damage said barrier. That’s when Constantine and Zatanna recognizes what this barrier is. Something only a powerful entity could create. For a moment, the league is filled with hope that Trigon can’t get through yet Constantine also explains that it’s not impenetrable. And clearly Trigon knows this too for he calls out a challenge.

And that’s when, in a flash of light, a tiny glowing teenager appears. He looked absolutly minuscule compared to Trigon and yet practically glowed with power (this isn’t a King Danny AU though).

And that is when the conditions for passing the barrier are revealed. And the Justice realize that the only thing stopping Trigon and his army from decimating earth. The only way he can get through….is by beating this glowing teenager in a card game.

Not just any card game though. The most convoluted game Sam, Danny, and Tucker invented themselves. It’s like the infinite realms version of magic the gathering, combined with Pokémon, and chess. And Danny is the master. So sit down Trigon and let’s play.

After Danny wins, this happens a few more times with outer word beings and possibly even demons attempting to invade earth, yet none have been able to beat the mysterious teenager in a card game. Constantine might even take a crack at it and try to figure out how to play. He’s really bad though. Every time this happens, the Justice league worry that this might be the time the teenager looses. Yet every time, he wins (even if only barely).

Meanwhile, Danny, Sam, and Tucker have gotten addicted to the game and play it almost daily. Some teachers might seem them playing the game are are like ‘awww how cute’ not realizing this game is literally saving the world. Jazz is just happy they aren’t spending as much time on their screens playing Doomed.

Much less painful too.#Danny Tucker and Sam made the most complicated card game they could imagine.#It’s based on their strategies for fighting ghosts. Capturing them in thermoses. And MUCH based on a on field battle strategy.#It often requires spontaneous thinking on the spot. So Danny? In his ELEMNT. It doubles as practice for his actual ghost battles too.#They had SO much fun making this.#Sam added an entire series of plant cards that act as traps and healing ointments and duds that just take up the field.#Tucker added legitimate hyroglyphics combined with Latin as well as English and ghost speak.#Yes. You actually have to speak that language to play. With proper pronunciation. (Amity Parker’s think the three are talking gibberish.)#I headcanon Sam and Tucker are fluent in Ghost.#Constantine WILL figure this game out SO HELP HIM!#Some of the cards also have combinations related to constellations either in name or placement on the board.#By the way the board is based on a Hexagonal summoning circle with Rhunes along the edges #And the placement of the cards on the board and on what rhune MATTERS.#Also the cards move disintegrate and have certain abilities. Think of Harry Potter Wizard Chess.#But they are normal when Danny plays at school. This is just for ✨effect✨ Against invaders.#Danny faces multiple opponents. He also halts alien invasions.#While Danny COULD stop crime on earth he’s not sure how to fight a normal human and hold back so he sticks to ghosts.#The Justice league are going crazy trying to figure out who this entity is and after deep research are convinced this is some sort of #Ancient being who has protected earth for millenia. They have paintings on ruins and everything.#Danny is not aware they think this.#Raven starts praying to Danny as if he is a god and wrangles the other Teen Titans into doing so as well. Danny is still unaware of this.#Danny is not a King or an ancient. Just a very VERY strong ghost.

Jason’s love language is acts of service.

He struggles with initiating physical touch sometimes and he’s not the best at giving gifts or saying the right words.

But what he is good at is showing his love through his actions.

As long as Jason is around, you will never, EVER, have to worry about the dishes being dirty. You’ll never tie your own shoe laces and you will never have to carry your own bag.

He’ll make sure that your makeup is off and that your skin care is done on nights when you’re too tired. He’ll brush your hair and tie it for you too.

He’ll peel your oranges and make sure you’ll have at least one home cooked meal every day. He’ll iron your clothes and bring you a hot cup of tea.

With Jason by your side, you’ll never have to worry about doing your tedious tasks alone.

Jason can’t say I love you, but he doesn’t need to, his actions prove it enough.

Mama Munson cannot cook.

She cannot bake.

She can barely make a grilled cheese without burning it.

But Wayne can cook.

He can bake.

He makes grilled cheese with tomatoes and garlic butter.

Eddie is raised with Wayne’s superior cooking and baking skills, and until he’s a teenager and goes to other friend’s houses, thinks that the “men of the family” are responsible for cooking and baking.

Wayne’s gotten aprons, and cooking utensils, and baking pans for Christmas and his birthday as long as Eddie’s lived with him.

Up until he’s too old according to his friends, he helps him in the kitchen.

Mama Munson watches the shift, but her and Wayne agree not to push.

They watch his diet do what most teenage boy diets do: turn to cereal and sandwiches at all hours of the day and night, some pizza sprinkled in when money allows.

Wayne still cooks, but his shifts turn into overtime hours, and then doubles, and he spends most of his time at home sleeping.

Eddie doesn’t seem to care, or at least not visibly.

His lunchbox is never stuffed with any food anyway, his mama isn’t dumb enough to not notice what he’s doing after school two or three days a week.

And then she almost loses him because the town turns upside down, almost literally, and everyone shuns them even more than they already did.

Not Steve Harrington, though.

He shows up every day after his volunteer shift with a grocery bag or two of fresh produce and jars and boxes and gets busy cooking. Nothing is ever that lavish, but there’s always a pop of flavors coming through even in the most simple dish.

She pretends she doesn’t see the way Eddie’s eyes widen after the first bite of whatever dish Steve’s made, reminiscent of when Wayne used to be able to cook for them almost every night. She pretends not to see the way Steve watches, waits for Eddie to show he likes it, relaxing into his chair and taking his own bite only after Eddie takes a second one.

She looks at Wayne, who’s pretending the same thing, but not hiding it well behind a knowing smirk.

Eddie starts spending more time in the kitchen with Steve, helping cut up vegetables and stirring as they talk, like he did with Wayne when he was younger.

Wayne goes back to work, but Steve always has a lunch packed for him with the leftovers so he doesn’t feel completely left out, blushes when Wayne hugs him on his way out the door. Eddie watches with a fond smile, and Mama Munson doesn’t say anything even though she should.

She’s seen what happens to boys who like straight boys firsthand, can’t be completely certain Steve’s a safe bet yet, even with the looks he throws and the care he gives. She thinks maybe he’s just a nice kid who loves his people.

But she wakes up one morning to whispering in the kitchen, and she knows Wayne isn’t home yet from his shift, so it has to be Eddie and someone else.

She sneaks out of her bedroom to see Eddie sitting on the counter, sweatpants on without a shirt, and Steve standing between his legs, cupping his face in his hands.

She’s certain that Steve left last night after she went to bed, she heard the front door open and close. But she looks closer and sees Steve’s wearing one of Eddie’s band shirts and the Christmas flannel pants Eddie got last year in his stocking.

So Steve didn’t leave, maybe wouldn’t leave ever if she was reading their faces right.

She decided not to interrupt them, sneaking back into her room and getting ready for work.

There’d be plenty of time for her to question Eddie about it, about Steve, about his feelings and if he was happy.

When she did finally go out to the kitchen, Steve was frying bacon and flipping an omelet in a pan while Eddie was sipping on a cup of coffee.

She kissed the top of Eddie’s head, then pulled Steve down to her level so she could kiss the top of his.

“Guess it’s about time we try your breakfast since you’ve been spoilin’ us with dinner for so long.”

Steve and Eddie’s matching red faces told her everything she needed to know.
