kouji is such a soft and gentle boyfriend!

you are going to be his first partner and he's going to try his hardest to make you happy!

@mexxedman asked for tokoyami and koda, none of my analysis are intentionally shippy but you can certainly read it that way ;)

Tokoyami and koda are probably the shyest boys in the class so of course they gravitated together early on. Tokoyami has always had a habit of protecting others so when he saw this soft shy boy sitting next to him his instincts kicked in and he started talking to him. Although koda didn’t really talk back because of his mutism, but that wasn’t a problem because tokoyami already knows sign language from suffering from mutism as well when he was a child (he still has problems when extremely stressed). Obviously their interaction at the USJ kickstarted their friendship and they started chatting in class more often. Others noticed koda was using sign and tokoyami had to start giving out lessons. Tokoyami tries to be on his best behavior but sometimes his dark demeanor escapes him and he spooks koda but it’s not a big deal and there are no hard feelings.

Shadow feels the same way about protecting koda as tokoyami does. They are always on their best behavior and love to offer for koda to pet them!! Koda is just about the nicest person the planet with nothing even remotely threatening about him so of course shadow adores him. Shadow rarely “snaps” when he is near by because they don’t want to scare him (they also act like this around eri). There have been times when they have been so stressed that they snap anyway but they apologize immediately afterwards and koda obviously forgives them.

Koda unintentionally gets tokoyami to unleash some of his avian instincts just because of his bird knowledge. Helping him with nest materials, taking care of his feathers, or giving him little trinkets for his collections. He even knows about toko’s quirk enhancements like his strong vision. Koda’s favored thing about Tokoyami and Shadow is how gentle and understanding they are, they never judge him and are extremely patient. They make him feel safe and comfortable, they are also just fun to be around. Their favorite things to do together are sitting outside and being in nature in general. They have similar hobbies too like foraging and wood carving so they will spend them together. Tokoyami pushes koda to conquer his fears and anxiety with good advice and getting closer to tokoyami makes koda feel braver. Dark shadow protects koda from bugs.

Okay, headcannon for Izuku's quirk being able to hear animals speaking. Like when he turned, a bird landed on his window and he can hear them wondering if someone could give them something to eat so Izuku gave the bird a bowl of seed.

I like to imagine like,,, 4-5 year old izuku hanging out in his room and a bird flies on his window sill talking to themself about food, and little izuku is just in AWE

He’d be completely overjoyed

You cannot tell me that the absolute ray of sunshine that toddler izuku is would not be like, “oh my gosh, animals, I can understand animals, can they understand me? Do they like me? If I talk to them, will I be talking in bird or do they understand Japanese? I’ll get you seeds!!!!! I wonder if it’s all animals or just birds? I wonder-“ and his brain is going a mile a minute while he just runs into the kitchen trying to ask his mom if they have any bird seed

A very confused inko gives him some bird seed and asks if he’s okay, and he’s trying to articulate that he thinks he got his quirk, but he’s an excited 4 year old with adhd, who just heard and understood a bird and is thinking about what this means for his future career as a hero, so give him a moment

He does tell her what happened, and she asks him what the bird is saying and if the bird can understand them, and he says that they can, and he’s just so happyyyyyy

Angst time, because I am a horrible person /j

Hisashi Midoriya is not happy because the quirk is likely a mutation of some kind as it doesn’t have anything to do with fire breath or attracting small objects

So, he does a deadbeat dad thing and dips

Izuku feels so guilty over it, but he can’t bring himself to hate his quirk (good) he gets to talk to animals! He can help them!!

Inko makes sure to tell him that it isn’t his fault and that he shouldn’t blame himself

Family angst is over!

So, our dearest son, izuku feral Midoriya, 10000% sneaks animals into the entrance exam

I like to imagine that he went to the park beforehand and talked to a shit ton of squirrels and chipmunks and asked them to help him with the entrance exam if they could. He brings them food as a peace offering (irl you shouldn’t feed wild animals, I know this, izuku knows this, but he can tell them why they shouldn’t rely on humans for food, we cannot, so just bare with me)

But yes. Just imagine izuku giving a war cry to all the rodents that are, for reasons unknown to anyone but izuku, standing around the gates of the exam area, and suddenly like,,,, 3 dozen rodents just start running in and tearing wires out of robots

Koda and izuku are fast friends who bond over their love and respect for animals

They both have anxiety too and are the only (at the beginning) members of class a who know/use JSL!

Okay, something that just popped into my head because I was thinking of how he’d use this quirk in the sports festival, and all I could think of was like,,, Pokémon trainer izuku

And honestly,,, kinda love that

Like, he’s just in the little ring with shinsou (does shinsou’s quirk work on animals?? Like, if he asked a cat a question and even if they don’t understand him, they still meow at him, would they be under his control?) anyway, I’m assuming shinsou’s quirk doesn’t work on animals. So, izuku just brings in a fucking bear who he bribed with salmon earlier and shinsou is like, “wow. Fuck.”

But anyway. I like to imagine that izuku has a shit ton of bird houses outside his window at home, and this continues when they move into the dorms

Aizawa finds him one night talking to a cat in an alleyway, and he’s worried for his problem child being in an alleyway at night and why is he here???? And then, he sees the cat and understands.

Mic goes to check on the class a dorms the next day because his husband never came back last night and he might’ve run into trouble with his hell class, only to walk in on the green bean and his husband smuggling a cat on campus

Shota, you’re a teacher. What are you doing?

He had to. Don’t worry about it. It’ll be fine.

Anyway. Class a has a new dorm cat :)

You just reminded me that I have a draft for 1A Headcanons I have... I'll finish it eventually...

But I do! Yes, I do!

Now I don't have hobbies for every student, maybe, but I do have some.

Okay, other than canon hobbies...

Jiro - music

Ashido - dance

Sato - baking

Shinsou - cycling (yes, I'm adding him, who is stopping me?)

A few I headcanon are...

Ojiro and Shoji being into sewing and knitting. I figure because of their quirks, they picked up on sewing because they may have to make adjustments to their clothing and sometimes help others, like maybe an accidental rip in jeans.

Ooh, and Koda! I can see him knitting those cute sweaters and scarfs.

Midoriya and Kaminari, I see being artistic. Midoriya is more into sketching on paper, using markers and pencils. For Kaminari, I can see him being more into doing his art digitally, maybe even do those gifs that we see here on Tumblr.

Okay, before I didn't have on for Iida, but now I feel like he'll be into writing. He probably reads a lot, but it's not genres you expect. I think he'll like to read different genres, he doesn't stick to one. Same with writing. He'll try to write romance and then switch to horror.

For Tokoyami, I see him doing poetry and also writing songs. I can see him being into astrology just like Uraraka. They have in depth conversations about astrology.

Hagakure is a nail artist in my head. She likes to play with colors, charms, designs, crystals. And since moving into the dorms, she'll practice on anyone who will let her. Ojiro is often her candidate.

This will always be a funny one to me, but Todoroki and those fun shaped ice trays. Hear me out! I see him and Yaomomo making those aesthetic drink videos. Todoroki really favors the ice trays and he got really excited knowing he could have teddy bear and rose ice cubes and in different flavors. So almost every day, he'll use them and it developed into making the videos with Yaomomo because she couldn't resist making pretty tea and coffee drinks.

Sato also makes treats for the videos.

Sero is a gymnast in my head. He also does yoga (with Ojiro who I also see being into yoga) and aerial dancing. The way he uses his quirk and his body type just gives me those vibes.

For now, that's what I came up with for some of 1A!

Your quirk allows you to waterbend, but at the cost of transforming into a mermaid everytime you touch water. And the full moon has you going all mermaid stir crazy. Part 1

Oijiro really likes your quirk! He’s kinda jealous that your tail is strong and so much prettier than his! Frequently refers to you as his “tail sister” and you call him your “tail brother.” Just two kids; one from another mister and one from another mother

the two of you frequently hit the gym together for similar lower body sets. It’s important that your lower bodies are strong enough to support really strong tails! Really enjoys conversation with you. Although he’s not sure why you seem to ask him about what restaurants he likes. Maybe it’s another project for your boba blog *shrugs*

Really solid friends and enjoys hanging out with you. (a little worried you’re gonna figure out his crush. Oh Tail-Man, we been knew.)

Sato thinks your quirk is pretty nifty, but pretty inconvenient! He really likes small talk with you and has often poked his head out of his dorm room to see you whistling. always knows what you’re here for. “oh Y/N Chan! Would you like to come in and try a piece of this cake I’m making?” yea you do that frequently, so does everyone else. It’s a daily occurrence for him. Follows your blog! He’s got a sweet tooth and needs to know where the best stuff is at. If you’re gonna eat sweets, go Plus Ultra! he also really wants to ask if he can be apart of your review on mochi next! He’s heard Uraraka talking about it and he really wants to join you! He frequently gets asked to help you when you’ve fished out. He doesn’t mind, but he can tell that you do. Yes, he does find your annoyance at it a little funny

Hanta Sero thinks your water “allergy” is downright hilarious. Poor monkey was climbing trees with you for an obstacle course when a random spring rain shower blew in. He absolutely freaking PANICKED!!!

Saw you lose, not only lose your footing, but your feet and immediately shot out tape to prevent you from plummeting to the ground. you were immensely grateful and started crying while you swung like a pendulum bc of the stress of it all. Now he greets you with a wink and calls you “A Great Catch” partly bc you’re a fish in the sea and partly bc you’re a great gal and would figuratively be a great catch. But - it’s mostly for the literal one. Because he caught you and saved your life, remember? Which is what he says everytime you poke your head out of the pool, and decide to grab and snag him by the tape to drag him in!! —————

Yuga Aoyama has a penchant for sparkly thinks and you are one very sparkly mermaid. He thinks your glimmer is divine! Definitely considers you his rival for the spotlight. Although the sentiment of this knowledge is not shared. He keeps up the mindset of “keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” Frequently attempts to sit next you during meals. Although he can’t stand your fishy smelling meals, it makes him puke, so he usually chickens out. frequently interrupts your study sessions with elaborate charcuterie boards. he views it as “infiltration of your studies” while you and the rest of your friends munch on these delicious snacks. You really like Aoyama and think he’s such a nice guy! Unfortunately he is still trying to find out the secret to your sparkle 🤫

Koda really likes hanging out with you. In preparation for any kind of scenario Aizawa suggested that he practicing speaking to marine life more often and ever since he’s been making routine stops at the aquarium and aquatic rehabilitation center. you two hang out with each other quite often at the marine center where you both work and exercise your quirks. It’s not quite a work study, per se, more like professional-field supplemental studies. Koda normally comes in to try and speak to the marine hospital patients and you usually visit them in the recovery bays. The marine staff like having you come in and play with some of the big marine fish bc it helps the recovery process. it makes them less lonely and you can actually keep up with them! they've taught you a few swimming tricks along the way!

after youre both done you and Koda love taking a stroll through the aquarium together and tryto identify all fish in the big tank. other times you both run around the place with the kids Aqurium Bingo charts and try and beat the other to “bingo!!” —————

Tokoyami understands that moonlight for you is like darkness for him. He’s happily holed up in the dorm all night at the same times you are. If Bakugou doesn’t manage to wake up and catch you on your floor, then Tokoyami will catch you as you move downstairs. he and dark shadow will catch you and try and move you upstairs as quickly and quietly as possible. The stealth is extremely necessary because Mineta is one of his floor mates and there’s no sense in making a ruckus and waking him up either. Luckily, his floor mates are all pretty heavy sleepers. the class has an ongoing bet that he drops more feathers than you drop scales and vice versa. It’s just something that naturally comes with the territory. unfortunately though, instead of merely going on hearsay there’s two large jars in the commons area where people collect them so that they can be counted later. tokoyami wasn’t sure he could blush as a bird, but he was just as embarrassed as you when they announced the bet. And the two of you usually squirm past the jars at any point of the day. So far it looks like there’s more feathers, but they’re so fluffy that they take up more visual space. Meanwhile, your scales jar looks like it barely holds anything, but there is a nice little pile at the bottom. he doesn’t wanna find out and neither do you, so you both suffer in the embarrassment and excitement that your classmates have over this bet. Let’s just hope that someone wins something really good at the end of this. —————

Shoji thinks your watery quirk is super fitting because you have such a bubbly personality! Really thinks you’re just the best and likes hanging out with you. He sort of had a turning point when you told him that it didn’t matter what he looked like on the outside, it’s what’s on the inside that counts. That’s what makes him a hero. And you assured him you don’t find his arms scary, that’s more hands for helping others. Which you know he’ll do bc he’s so generous and kind-hearted. Plus you think he resembles an octopus with all those arms! Was AMAZED someone like you said that. Your quirk makes you look so gorgeous and you’re not at all afraid of him. I mean he felt like the Hunch Back of Notre Dome. since then he thinks that if someone like you can like him then so can others! And thinks you’re so so kind. Calls you his Angelfish bc of that heart-to-heart. 🥹 now he’s got much better self-esteem. He still wears the mask, but isn’t as self-conscious about it. Doesn’t mind to carry you around everywhere/anywhere when you need it. Carries you bridal style and makes extra sure not to accidentally clip your tail on tight corners or furniture. Enjoys using his strength to help you.

More musical headcanons with a twist - not what they listen to on purpose but what they bop to if it happens to come on because it's what their parents/grandparents play around the house

Can 100% see Koda singing (at full volume!) Let's Hear It For The Boy by Deniece Williams and only getting bashful when he hears the whoops and whistles when the song ends

And Bakugou doesn't even realize he hums and nods along to Like A Virgin because his parents love Madonna (and he'd spit and hiss at anyone who so much as suggested he did) but the bakusquad definitely has it on video

Kirishima shamelessly blasts country music and does an endearingly bad attempt at square dancing when he gets homesick

I can totally see Masaru being the Madonna fan. Maybe she reminds him of his wife lol

Also I love square dancing Kirishima he has a little country outfit with some boots and a hat that he wears sometimes and he cut little circles for his horns to stick out of 🤭

I don't think I've ever shared any of my head canons for bnha ,and there's a lot of characters so I have a lot of head canons. But I'll share my FAVORITE hc,and when I see other people have this,I want to be their best friend.

Koji and Katsuki are friends. I'm sorry,it's the best hc out there.

I've had this hc for a little while now,yet I never shared it 😔

In one of the stage plays there's this song called, "Codenames" and there's a part where we see the contrast in personality between Katsuki and Koji,it's helped feed my Katsuki and Koji friends place in my brain.

OKAY SO I was thinking about how paranormal activity could/ would effect the bnha universe and I really like the idea some peoples quirks unknowingly can be affected by stuff like ghosts!? (Not including potential paranormal based quirks)

Like jirou or shoji sometimes being able hear spirits or something, tho it's so faint they just assume it's something in the distance? Or koda and tokoyami just have these moments where animals or darkshadow visibly react/ interact with something unseen??

My favourite in this is denki, with his quirk being (most likely able to sence electricity as well as produce it), being able to actually feel the remnants of energy that used to be people that is now thier ghosts forms!!

LIKE IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES!?!?!?!!!

Imagine in the middle of form denki feels something leaning on his shoulder, hes obviously suprised but sees nothing. It feels vaguely human like somethings, SOMEONE suposed to be there!? Even darkshadow reacts and so does Kodas support animal. Jirou and shoji SWEAR they just heard someone laughing and saying something like "you still are such a grump shouta"

They're all just confused because it was something they just dont know what!? Well little did they know it's just Shirakumo Oboro checking in on his best freinds favourite class!
