transphobes have the audacity to call gender affirming care and surgery "mutilation" as if they don't do the same to intersex babies 0.5 seconds out of the womb

if you want to try testosterone, you don't need to stop yourself from doing it. it's okay to be scared and nervous, but i promise, any judgements in your head are lies. you won't be ruined or changed forever. you won't have made a mistake if you end up not liking it. you will be just as wonderful as you are right now, and you will have grown and learned about yourself. no matter what happens.
self exploration and empowerment comes in many forms, and going on T could be one of them. but you won't know until you try!

Why do people think that doctors are out here performing bottom surgeries on toddlers???
Like 90% of the anti-trans Healthcare "arguments" are just people talking about surgeries and "mutilation" but that's just not happening.
Actually no you wanna know who it is happening to? Intersex children. But apparently it's okay to make someone fit within a narrow definition or sex and gender just not to help them go outside it.

How are there not riots in the streets?
Looking back on 2023:
We know our education system is bunk and that NASA was started with help from a literal 1940s Nazi. We know this country was built on genocide, bigotry, and the backs of immigrants & slaves.
We know we're colonizers, we know our first President's teeth were made of a combination of his slaves' teeth and wood. We know the last President ran his campaign off sexual assault jokes.
We know the first time the Confederate flag was ever in the US Capital was on January 6th, 2021. We know approximately 50% of white medical trainees think black people have higher pain tolerance (especially black women).
We know black people are more likely to get bitten by police dogs and are more likely to get death sentences instead of life in prison like their white counterparts committing the same crime. We know you can predict if you'll be a victims of police brutality based on where past lynchings have happened & the amount of money a you make in a year.
We know that America helped cover up Unit 731 and gave the "scientists" immunity. We know that America has been at war for more time than not and we know school shootings are so "old news" that the news doesn't even cover most of them anymore.
We know the United States has an unusually high homeless population and that 40% to 60% of homeless people in the United States have jobs. We know the United States isn't opposed to human experimentation and we know that slavery is illegal unless you're in prison.
We know prisoners are used to fight fires for free, we know some prisons have cotton farms for the prisoners to work on for free. We know 1 in 5 people on death row are innocent and that police are known to fake/plant evidence and to assault witnesses & suspects that don't give them what they want to hear.
We know judges are more likely to give death sentences than life in prison when they're hangry (I'm NOT joking) and police were originally militias paid for by rich people to get their runaway slaves black. We know we are one of the most, if not the most, dangerous "developed" countries in the world.
Why do we perform non consensual surgeries on (intersex) babies right out of the womb without the parents' permission, but we make consensual surgeries (gender affirming care) illegal? Why is gender affirming care (plastic surgery, masculine voice classes) only legal and normal for cis people?
Why do we let people who are one foot in the grave sign our death certificates? Why do we let people who clearly have dementia run one of the globe's superpowers? Why are we letting the oldest bigots in the country decide our future?
So why are there not riots in the streets? When did we become so complacent to our own demise? Why do we deny the ship is sinking when we are up to our knees in water? What is wrong with us? Are we pathetic or broken or wrong in a way that is incomprehensible to us? Why are we pretending everything is normal?
Why are there not riots in the streets?

ok so you know how as queer people we often have that inner voice that tells us we're not queer enough or we're faking it or whatever which we know is NOT true but we sometimes just can't make it stop?
i know that when i was younger i really wished that someone would validate me and affirm my queerness (and i still do), so what if i give people affirmations on here?
for example if you have a bad dysphoria day you can send me something that you want someone to say to you and i just repeat it to you? something like that?

Imagine 7 year old child of a slave wakes up her mama at night. Shmi asks what's wrong. And the child says nothings wrong. Only he's a boy now. No fuss, no nervousness, no hesitation. Instead of questioning how he came to that conclusion, Shmi wakes up the next morning and gives him the best haircut she can. Calls him Anakin.

I may be taking a break from this blog.
Tumblr is having an issue with actually blocking content. I no longer want to be subjected to the hate and harassment I feel when even look at my dashboard. So until I find a resolution, I may be taking a break from posting and answering questions.
I sincerely apologize, but I must put my mental health first if I want to help anyone else.
I still have an email you can reach me at if you need something else answered or need some information:
Thank you all, I hope you find some information you're looking for.

made really fucking uncomfortable when people respond to ‘no one is giving trans kids surgeries against their will’ and people try to make a gotcha out of intersex people. why are you trying to undermine the conversation.
can we just, in general, stop bringing unrelated issues into conversations that are already hugely confrontational. no the transphobes are not talking about the nonconsensual mutilation of intersex kids. they are talking about hypothetical cisgender perisex children used to push a hateful agenda.
it’s like reading a post about safe sex and someone saying it’s not inclusive to asexual people.
stop trying to derail the topic.

me starting the orville: oh a seth mcfarlane spaceship show, wonder what it's about
the show: a female child is born to a gay male alien couple and undergoes sex reassignment surgery as an infant, which is standard for their civilization. there is a prolonged court case involving the government of their home planet weighing in on whether or not one parent's objections to the surgery are enough to stop it, but the surgery is upheld. years later, the child is seeking gender affirmation surgery away from the sex she was unconsensually assigned, and she feels she was robbed of her choice. in order to avoid enraging an entire civilization for whom infant surgery is the norm, the protagonists conspire to have a robot of a maligned civilization perform the surgery: thus allowing the girl to live as who she wants to be and to avoid shattering diplomatic relations across the galaxy.
me: ...oh wow.
