i think nico spoils will fucking rotten.
his dad is the god of wealth he is holding NOTHING back. aside from that, he grew up wealthy and spent so so long in the lotus casino. i think he has a rly bad handle on money lol.
however he's such a mysterious guy that i think it doesn't occur to will that nico is actively spending money on him??
like will makes an offhand comment about how he would marry the person who would bring him the mystical rocket launching boba fett. and nico is like word okay and the next day there is a rocket launching boba fett on will's pillow and he's like BRO???? OH MY GOD?????
but he just figures that nico knew someone who had it!! he knows nico is big on figurines & collectibles and has a lot of connections, so he thinks nico just called in a favour.
in reality nico did all those things and also spent like two hundred k lol
basically, nico doesn't even think about it. if he hears a friend express a want that he has to means to acquire...its not even an active choice to him?? he's like well why wouldn't i buy this for them.
and i think this means a whole lot to will!!
he's spent his life in his mom's tour van or a bunk bed. he grew up in two wars. he was responsible for an entire infirmary at 13. he's a nerd and he likes nerdy things but like...collecting takes time. and money he doesn't have, because money isn't really a focus in camp and its not like he's paid lol
so of course there are things that he likes but...imagine being will. imagine having a budget for the INFIRMARY YOU RUN and thinking, like...well the camp has only so much money. i know exactly what these medical supplies cost. i refuse to steal. why would i ever be so selfish to ask for money to be spent on me and the things i like?
and then there's nico, who doesn't need him to ask. who WANTS to give him things he wants, not just what he needs or what he wants for others. what WILL wants. nico will get him.
will on the other hand....he gives away his time like it's free.
he does things for people. constantly. like austin complains about not having anywhere quiet to practice and will builds him a soundproof practice room. you know?
now when nico, who has had no one spend their time on him since bianca....
like his father did not have time for him. even when he lived in the underworld, he was put to work. or else he was bored. it's not like he and hades HUNG OUT, you know?
and of course he had no friends to spend their time on him. even in his first time at camp half blood -- for the first time, bianca didnt have time for him. she chose the hunters for ETERNITY, she said i am done choosing you now. and nico drove percy insane, who certainly didn't have time for him between saving the world. the entire time we saw him in TTC he was being pushed away.
by the time he had hazel, HE was the one pushing himself away before anyone else could. he filled his time so he wasn't waiting for anyone else. besides, through no fault of hers, he and hazel CAN'T give each other as much of their time as they would like!! they live on opposite sides of the country!!
but will.....
gods will. will SEEKS HIM OUT. the first thing will says to him is i have carved out, in my busy healer schedule, three days of time for YOU. not only have i carved out these three days, but in that brief moment of time where i was running around camp, i was thinking about you. you were a PRIORITY and i'm upset that you did not come spend your time with me.
like.....oh my god. can you imagine that? being nico? hearing someone you barely know, at this point, talk about how much time he wants to spend with you? and then as you get closer, he spends SO MUCH time with you!! he makes you a priority!
will walks nico to breakfast and watches him in sword practice and takes out his schedule when nico is making his to make sure they line up. he plans dates and they're FUN and he is so careful to make them enjoyable for nico, too, so much so that he forgets his nerves.
the biggest gifts they give to each other is noticing, i think. i see you, i see what you need and wont ask for, and i care enough to give it to you anyway.

nico, on the other hand, is not nearly as ignorant about music as people pretend he is. y'all he was in a casino/arcade until like 2006!!!!! do you think it was silent in there!!!!! do you think he is not the absolute king of just dance and DDR!!!
however he was, like, 10. so i think he's familiar with a lot of songs but in the way you were when you were a kid, you know?? like i could sing paparazzi w my whole chest beginning to end flawlessly at eight years old, but i would not have been able to recognise lady gaga by name or sight.
i think he and will make somewhat of a game out of it. the first time they hang out, nico is NERVOUS beforehand. like for hours. will said they were going to have a chill day bc he has time off, but what are they supposed to DO?? before they were actively doing stuff together. will was teaching nico first aid basics, or nico was helping him around the infirmary; they were helping rebuild camp together. sure, they were talking, but they had something to focus on if things got awkward or conversation faded naturally.
that is VERY DIFFERENT from just hanging out in person. is nico supposed to have conversation starters prepared? how much silence is rude? is will going to finally decide he's boring? or weird? will is such a hyper person!!! how is nico supposed to entertain him!!

and he's like wait nico has spent a lot of time in the underworld...he might not be very up to date!! this'll be awesome. so he stays up till like 3 on the big house computer carefully making nico several CDs worth of playlists.
he makes HOURS of music. way more than they could ever listen to in one day, but he gets carried away. he makes a playlist with his favourite country music, including his moms stuff obviously, with rock music he thinks nico in particular will like, pop punk stuff, regular pop, an entire CD dedicated to the icon herself kesha (whom he knows personally bc she sun backup vocals for his mom when she was a teenager), some musicals, and some iconic european music to top it off. he has a little bit of EVERYTHING.
most important, though, he makes a CD with the top 100 billboard songs from the years 1958 (when it started) to 1985. he doesnt have enough time to do it all the way to this year in one night but vows to work on it when he has time.
when he goes to nico's cabin, he comes with a stack of CDs as long as his arm and chiron's CD player. he's practically sparkling with excitement; when nico opens the door he is already halfway through a sentence lol.
for four straight hours, they just listen to song after song, will pausing after each one to ask what nico thinks. he recognises a lot of them, even though he didn't know their names, but even still he's pretty quiet at first. but as they go on it gets hard not to get caught up in wills excitement, and he dances like such a dork, anyway, is it his fault for laughing? and those four hours pass like MINUTES and suddenly its curfew and will has to go.
this becomes their tradition! will plays a song, nico reviews it. even as they learn how to hang out with each other in different ways, it becomes reflex -- when there's a song playing will looks at nico for a reaction. when they're with others, in public, whenever.
the first time nico makes will a playlist he cries.
the playlist is called sunshine.
will plays on his walkman until its worn right through.
what is their favorite fruit?
at first will thinks nico doesn't like fruit at all because he has to force this dumbass to eat fruit and vegetables. all he eats is like. cereal and sandwiches. it stresses will the fuck out.
he's out here plopping a bowl of fruit on nico's table like eat this whole thing or i'm gonna whoop your ass before scurvy does. (he is genuinely afraid nico is going to get scurvy, although its not a very effective anxiety because hes kind of deeply afraid of scurvy in general and is always trying to push people to eat oranges lol).
nico ALWAYS drags his feet about it. at one point will gets worried that nico just straight up doesn't like fruit and starts fretting about synthetizing supplements.
turns out nico is just, like...a little pretentious. about fruit particularly. in his defense, he has been all over the world. like he's had indian mangoes and algerian clementines okay it is VERY hard to settle for stuff grown in north america as nice as the demeter greenhouses are.
his favourite fruit ever is the lemon though. he had a lemon tree in his backyard when he was a kid that he doesn't remember, exactly, but he remembers how it tastes. will brings him a lemon once and almost as if his hands are working on their own, he cuts a slice, removes the peel and pith, puts it in a jar of sugar, and shakes to coat it, like his nonna would do secretly when he mama wasn't looking. its the best thing he's ever tasted.
will is a fruit fanatic, on the other hand. he steals strawberries every time he walks by the fields. the demeter cabin has to count their blueberries every night because he can and will eat them all when no one's looking.
his favourite, though, and he never ever gets it at camp, is prickly pear. in the summers before camp he would go to the desert with his mom and pick enough to make his stomach hurt -- he's never home when they're in season now, so sometimes when she's free shell drive up to new york just to bring him a box of them. she knows he's busy and cant leave camp in summers but she wants him to have that, at least.

i think all year-rounders are into pop culture just fine, but they're a few years behind. except for music -- will knows music. but things like movies and tv shows and memes, they either get updated from their summer-only friends or they stumble upon in naturally when it's not longer relevant lol.
nico, though, has an encyclopedic knowledge of old pop culture, because the lotus got new tech and games and movies before literally anyone else. he saw back to the future before it was in theatres and it changed his life. he quotes it all the time and no one has called him out on it then, but it is only a matter of time.
(he has seen star wars. he saw star wars before will was alive. but it is 100% funnier to pretend he doesn't know what a galaxy is and watch will's eye twitch when he asks him about luke skyrunner)

yes absolutely. but he's super embarrassed about it at first so he genuinely STEALS them, not just borrows them.
it's a heist and everything. he shadow travels into the apollo cabin at like three in the morning and rifles through will's shelf. when he gets back he panics and shoves it under his mattress, where it lives in shame for four months. will just thinks it must have been an unfortunate victim of some poor sick child or bleeding demigod and writes it off.
after several months, during which nico thinks about the sweater ALL the time but cannot physically force himself to touch, nico finally gets brave enough to take it out from under his mattress. he just stares at it for a long ass time, wrinkling it in his clenched hands. it's just a hoodie, you know?? who cares.
nico cares. obviously.
eventually he gets so annoyed with himself that he just yanks it on expecting to be able to tell himself like SEE you dumbass it's just a piece of clothing it literally does not matter. except.
except.
the hoodie still smells like will.
somehow.
and that is.
well.
he would rather dunk his head into the river of fire than admit it, but he melts. the hoodie is old as hell and worn and so so so so soft, gods, no wonder will wears it all the time. he never wants to take it off ever.
for weeks, whenever he's alone in the cabin, he wears the hoodie. it stops smelling like will pretty quickly but he doesn't mind, it's still the most comfortable thing ever. it becomes second nature to walk into his cabin, throw off his jacket, and tug the hoodie on, wearing it to bed.
on one night, and of course it's the hermes' cabin fault, everyone is rushing out of their cabin to see what the fresh fuck is sounding like twenty four fire alarms at once and also a nuclear explosion. nico, in his haste, does not take off the hoodie.
will, whipped, makes sure his siblings are okay and then turns immediately to find nico. he Sees The Hoodie. nico Sees Him See The Hoodie. nico tries to flee.
will has longer legs and also spots a teasing opportunity, so hera herself could not stop him.
will teases him to pieces but is also visibly pleased. the next morning nico finds another hoodie of will's hung over his desk chair.
he wears will's hoodies all the time.

(obviously 4.6 datamine of arle SQ and her voicelines; This Will Not Spoil Anything Abt The Main SQ Plot, i only discuss the relevant parts. also some p Heavy negativity towards fanon ooc at the start youve been warned dont @ me)
(i mean i didnt even read anything of the SQ but The scene w childe so idek the main plot of the quest rly either lmao. tho go at ur own risk if u wanna check the dialogue out; its the 2nd quest log but it does hint at the greater story)
TLDR: how i feel abt his appearance in a vaccuum? quite solid despite the briefness, actually. accounting for the way fanon is 100% likely going to be reading into this and turning it into the Lets Infantilize Ajax Even More 2024 championship? conflicted.
in other words; a certified labyrinth warriors moment - theyve expanded on childes character in a very interesting and quite a compelling way and while i Do like the potential in what im seeing from hoyos end theyve also done it so that its going to be misinterpreted to hell and back by fanon so i kinda have an immediate jaded love-hate moment going on JJWJDKJDKJWJDWKJ

i actually really fucking loved that scene bc while theres outsider perspectives (scara obvi; and even arles line for him has that vibe. and ppl still take that shit face value 💀💀) and a lot of fandom assuming childes like. completely clueless and naive and ignorant towards the potential risks involved with trusting pulcinella. this is actually a very clever demonstration of quite the opposite? and showcasing how despite his aversion towards schemes and lies hes still intelligent and knows the kind of people hes dealing with when it comes to his fellow harbingers
like. childe has a negative opinion of arle based on what pulcinella has told him about her because at face value many of her deeds are in heavy conflict with his values of loyalty and family. and because he does not have the further context behind her actions and what the HotH under her is really like. Obviously hed hold a very hostile and wary view towards arlecchino
(ESPECIALLY when with all this biased intel hes still going to run into kids from the house!!! and then hes going wtf? these are good kids. what the hell is that knave doing with them??? blink twice if you need help i will start a civil war for yall like thats how he is with kids!!!!)
so YES. pulcinella has given him if not false then at least misleading intel based on the political tension between himself and arlecchino and the wider HotH. and childes taken that at face value! sure! he is close with pulcinella of course he would!
BUT. THEN. he returns to fontaine and seeks arlecchinos help looking for skirk. and observes her behavior and modus operandi for himself as well as the kids. does he go "nah she must be just hiding the crazy evil shit i would never distrust pulcinella" and leave it at that when reality doesnt completely match his expectations?
NO. because when offered the opportunity through the traveler asking about the HotH childe immediately capitalizes on the opportunity to prod for answers and see if pulcinella is lying to him!!!!
and hes so fucking smart with the way he does it too???? i LOVE his intelligence. the entire thing is so simple yet elegant; it Completely relies on his reputation as the kinda gullible harbinger whod Never scheme or hide Anything to indirectly affirm or deny his suspicions. he doesnt Need to Pretend to care about the possibility of arle betraying the kids bc he genuinely does!! and when she pushes back against the accusation he doesnt Need to fake admitting to her that well, actually, its all just rumors so he could be completely wrong. and so on. like he navigates the entire thing so effortlessly. and whats the end result?
childe has Confirmation of pulcinellas possible ulterior motives in action AND that arlecchino is a much more reliable ally than he initially assumed. all the while appearing as just The Straightforward 11th. like obviously id need to hear it voiced first to be sure but in text it v much gives the impression hes almost kinda just. playing up the threats towards arle and being "dumb" on Purpose?? to get the answers he wanted out of arle without appearing like hes fishing for anything particular. and i just hhhhhhhhhhh
i love when he does this so muchhhh!!!!!! 😭😭 he doesnt need to become some machiavellian schemer to be able to strategize !!!!!! he avoids scheming bc he Dislikes it not bc hes incapable of it like this has Always been the case Since Liyue AQ and i love whenever they show that side of himm . my Beloved
so anyway. while i do still think the like "pulcinella is bad and has his family hostage" is still kind of a generic plotline and i hope the writing regarding the whole thing wont ultimately turn out to be sth That simplified and black and white. its p clear theyre doing Something with pulcinellas motivations and as they are. im Really glad theyre letting it show that childes not just some completely passive party being manipulated in this all. he Is thinking abt this stuff and his position among the harbingers. ig we shall see where it goes - not the greatest fan of the concept still, but canon text supports it becoming a thing way more than when it was just scaras word we had for it. hope theyll surprise me positively w how they go about it!

also loved arle and childe just shittalking the rest of the harbingers it was amazing. i wasnt expecting this kinda dynamic between them at all but its great lmao. also i wanna see childe hang out w the HotH kids
as for project stuzha; so we dont really get anything solid on it other than being summoned back to snezhnaya for it is apparently a Big Deal. but still very interested. let my man have his endgame significance Trust
childes appearance was obviously v brief ultimately but that was clear from his leaked linecount to begin with - i am pretty satisfied with what they seem to have done w him. like its not The Best but also i wasnt expecting his lore to get some massive expansion in another harbingers SQ . the worst i feared was that it was just going to be a flashback of arle returning his vision which did Not happen so massive W. i am super hyped to hear this scene voice acted proper and happy to see him again, i really hope he gets to appear at least once more in an interlude or dains quest or something before going on hiatus again but idk if thats too much to ask LKKWJDJWDJWD

You nodded as you watched him walk off, scraping the last bit of dessert off your plate and onto your mouth. Taehyung and you usually went out on special occasions, but not that you were engaged, everyday felt like a special occasion. He would suprise you with random reservations at random timing- for instance, today you came home from work, tired and dirty, but he sat at the door with that little grin of his, explaining that he managed to squeeze a date in at one of the "super fancy" dinner places in the city.
You couldn't say no, especially to his sweet doe eyes, so of course you dolled up and came with him, and as always it was more than enjoyable....you just wish he would let you pay....considering he did everything else.
You looked up to see what was taking so long, and to your surprise, he was stuck at the front counter with some woman who looked like a model, her hand on his shoulder and everything.
Whatever they were engaging in must've been really interesting considering how attentive her eyes were to his.
You arent the jealous type, and you know taehyung would never cross that line with you.....but seeing this rando touch up on your practical husband.....oh hell no
He waves a hand and slowly makes his way back to the table, "sorry baby....."
"whos that?"
He shrugged "actually, I have no idea...but I think she was flirting with me"
you would be lying to say that your blood didnt boil at those words "what? wait....what did she say?"
"well....she was complimenting my outfit then proceeded to touch me-"
"i saw" you cut him off, a slight smirk crossing his face
"but-...I didnt give her any of my time...."
"hm..." you sigh, looking down at your phone
"baby, cmon..." he leans over and kisses your head, "you know I only love you, my sweet, beautiful girl, hm?"
"wellllll-" you tease, playing angry
Taehyungs eyes caught the blonde woman off in the distance eyeing him, he smirked once more and whispered. "come with me"
He gently led you to the center of the dining room, standing on a chair as he started speaking, your heart sank to your ass. "what are you fucking doing???" you couldnt help but laugh.
"attention everyone!!" he began, ignoring you, "I would like to make an announcement"
oh great....here we go.
everyone turned to look at both of you, including the one intrigued by taehyung. You felt the heat rise to your face.
"Y/N, you know that the past 10 years of my life have been the most amazing yet, every day I fall deeper into love with you......" He kneeled and you almost lost it, covering your mouth to not laugh
"get. up." you whispered through gritted teeth.
The irony in this is, well, you are already engaged.
Lesson learned here is to not question this mans public love for you, because he has no fear of hiding it.
"Y/N, will you make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?"
the room gasped, the blonde woman was seen walking away awkwardly as I giggle, "y-yeah, sure"
He jumped up and kissed you all over your face, whispering as the room grew with applause. "now do you believe me?"
"I never didnt believe you" you teased, hitting his chest before kissing him back. "you are such a dork"
"you know I like to see how red your face gets" he mumbled "my little tomato"
"I can publicly yell "never mind" right now, watch it" you glared, kissing him again.
He held his hands up, giggling, "okay okay, lets get out of here so I can realllyyyy show you how much I love you"

do you have any headcanons about harutaka's cat(s)?
i think they have 1 spoiled as hell cat and my only supporting reason for it is haruka falling in the fountain. listen if ur gonna introduce a character thru "he fell in the fountain bc he was so determined to pet a cat" i am GONNA give him a cat.
i think harukas dreams in life are 1. not die 2. have cat and when she's settled in with takane post str hes like moaning and sobbing about how much he loves cats and takanes like then lets get one lol we can afford it and harukas brain rewires like Holy shit i am an adult with my own place I CAN GET A CAT???? and its Awesome
i think. cat is subject to his paintings for a long time. i think their place has paintings of the cat bc haruka keeps painting it. i think thatd be funny. i also think hiyori visits a lot to see the cat and also bc she and haruka have a sibling thing going on (both feel responsible for konoha being gone sry i got so many feelings abt this)
as for takane i thought maybe she'd be like Dads and the pet they said they didnt want but no wayyyyy like shes ene... they fucking love that thang. takane and cat having same personality and harukas like Wow when one hisses at me i can just go cuddle with the other this is awesome
i also think kano has like 5 cats though and the number keeps growing. i love kano just being a cat lady. seto is always fostering dogs plus is always hanging out with animals. mary has a service dog. shintaro has his bunny and continues raising bunnies. what i am trying to say the pics of the dan gc are awesome.

HOW ABOUT the fact harley is literally. SUCH. a lil shit. tony adores her and is always like "uh sorry mickey but harley cant go to the family reunion with you this weekend we're going to marathon the psycho series." like just constantly out of nowhere. and mickeys left there like
tony ALWAYS makes harley ask tim specifically though to spend the night at "uncle tonys" as if tim could ever say no to her. like maybe mickey would. but not tim hes the yes parent. smh. tony talks constantly about it too like mickeys like ??? youre like a third dad what gives" and he tries to hide the fact he loves it like "yeah well its only like once in a while for a few hours and i dont have to financially support them so its really not" as if he doesnt also spoil her with like. pizza and ice cream and stuff too.
once she said some real out of pocket shit and someone was like "wow shes really kind of a firecracker that one huh" and mickey was like yeah i sure as hell didnt teach her that. and kids have no filter so immediately harley was like "UNM. yeah. well uncle tony says he taught me everything i know. so." and everyone immediately is like yeah. yeah that adds up.
mikah has the same kind if relationship w abby and gibbs tbh. gibbs pretends like hes not the best ever dad but like honestly hes very attentive and understanding, hes always very patient with mikah and mikah likes going to gibbs' and helping with The Boat™. gibbs lets him work on a little section and its always nice bc mikah gets like. social time and they dont even have to say anything. its just like a quiet uncle and his nephew. just silently working in solidarity. abby on the other hand takes mikah to like cool graveyards and museums and they do little wax rubbings and get to just sit and abby talks like for/to him and he just listens and hes super into it because hes also really into like science and stuff. ziva gets super super defensive of him too, she has such a soft spot for him and loves to let him sit at her desk and "help" with cases and stuff if they ever come to work its so sweet
honestly the team is really just one massive family unit anyways. both of the kids loves their uncles and aunts so much i just [ clenches fist ]

its hard NOT to ship op characters. they all have such fun dynamics!! hannyabul and magellan is like.. im being silly when i say i ship them,, but also they ARE kinda real boyfriends to me.
its such a shame when ppl ignore the silly side of zoro. he has a few extremely wholesome, adorable, fun moments with luffy in wano and.. yeah ... im excited for u to see the interactions they have. add that to the list of things i am excited for!! lol. do the 3 dangly earrings signify he uses 3 swords??? i Never noticed this but if so... thats genius?? either way they r so pretty and in wano they zoom in on his earrings multiple times and show them like . waving in the wind or something idk. its so .. i love it. one more thing im excited about LOL

HELL YEAH.. i honestly am not a huge fan of the wci arc. i really disliked it the first time i read it but i think there r a lot of things that contributed to that. i couldn't remember a lot of the story from before, i started it in the anime and then switched over to manga at some point so it was a bit of a jarring difference, i have complicated feelings about sanji, and i was really sleep deprived when i was reading it. it was super difficult to get through cuz it just felt like everything dragged on and on.. so when i was rereading i was really dreading coming back to that arc and having to slog through it again. but actually it wasn't that bad. its still nowhere near being a favorite for me, but it does have a lot of good moments. anyways i think u will have a much better time than me and im looking forward to seeing ur reactions!! (as usual)

live action usopp seems like he has more rizz than anime/manga usopp (forgive me for using slang. i have been told it sounds really odd when i do bc it sounds like an old man using it LOL). i think that is a very interesting choice!! cuz i love usopp and i do think hes really charming and a lovely person,, but i feel like him having 0 confidence in himself is so important to his character?? but he seemed like he was an enjoyable character to watch so maybe i shouldnt get too hung up on it.

im pretty sure that any characters that have black eyes oda just makes them brown whenever their eye color is visible. and similarly, the anime just makes anyone with black eyes have grey or white. i dont know if oda has thought abt most of his characters eye color,, or if he actually does just plan for them all to have brown eyes. but headcanoning crazy eye colors is more fun imo!!
the anime notoriously does NOT know what colors things are. my favorite guy law has grey eyes in the anime and theyre gold in the manga.. which is devastating!? cuz gold is way more interesting and fitting and... yeah. i will forever be upset abt that. if they're gonna whiten all the characters to such a crazy level why cant they change the eye colors that are objectively WRONG (following manga canon)

i am so .. i miss robins early design .. they kept her blue eyes (which again.. are objectively wrong according to manga canon) but they just had to make her like. the palest member of the straw hats. i love her having blue eyes so im not complaining that they didnt fix it but its like ... why did u fix one thing and not the other... i find that very frustrating. i wish they had just kept both her skin color and her eyes LOL. also cowgirl robin was so cool 😢

those are my absolute favorites but other ones i like are arlong park, syrup village, punk hazard, sabaody/post war/return to sabaody, marineford (this would be another absolute favorite if not for the fact its so painful), whatever arc zoro joined in, drum island, skypeia, and.. controversially i do like fishman island despite also finding it a bit boring
i also rly enjoyed the reverie (it counts as a separate arc on the wiki) this one is apparently directly after wci.. i can never remember when it takes place chronologically. theres not really any action but i dont even care... i dont read for action
people dont like post timeskip one piece as much for some reason? its confusing to me bc almost all my favorite arcs are post timeskip.. im loving the focus shifting to the whole world.. and i love reading about huge world events. and i love theorizing about things. its all very fun

i like wci but mostly for the sanji arc. i dont care much for the setting (although the alice in wonderland insp is cool!) and i actually love pudding but the fact she’s apparently 16 puts a bad taste in my mouth every time she’s on screen. it doesnt feel like its dragging on yet but as much as i do wanna continue i keep not having the motivation bc i know i still have quite a bit to go through vjbjfdkn. im glad u enjoyed it more ur second time tho!! APPARENTLY robin was never supposed to be tan and anime assumed that too, but idc if u keep the blue then keep the skin color…its like. blatantly just colorism there

i didnt think fishman island was anywhere near as boring or badly paced as i heard. it was literally fine imo. not my favorite but not bad! except um. fishman island sanji can burn pls stop making me hate my favorite character (THOUGH I STAND BY RETURN TO SABAODY SANJI BEING WORSE THAN FISHMAN ISLAND. AT LEAST HE WASNT SNIFFIN PPL WHAT THE *FUCK* WAS THAT]
and i defintely see the post-timeskip haters points sometimes. there’s less time spent with the characters just. getting to interact and chill- partially bc the anime doesnt really do filler now but also partially bc now the crew is so large that oda never writes them all in one place. theyre always splitting up. and also the obvious things like robin getting sidelines and her design change, zoro is less silly, overall there’s less lightheartedness (although at times i can appreciate that). but the thing that bothers me most is it feels like oda got more brave with the off color jokes and sexualization and such. it was there pre timeskip (esp starting around thriller bark) but post timeskip its just like. sexualization and perv jokes are turned up to 200%. and yea im bitter bc sanji got worse in that aspect (although i actually prefer his post timeskip design! i like his stupid little goatee and his new suits/outfits are very nice! and his character development has obviously. gotten some spotlight) but damn if they couldnt give that to some of the other crew members too! though i digress. and ur right- the arcs and story HAVE improved and been super epic!
hmm..i think my favorite arcs would have to be [as of where i am currently] water 7/enies lobby, impel down, and dressrosa. whole cake will probably be up there when i finish it just bc of it being the My Guy Arc.

Truly. School festival? Wild i dont think ive ever been to one of those. Not sure mine ever had them but im glad you had so much fun! Its not completely finished yet i get that done next week but its very cool i love it. I have like. 12 piercings now with still more i want. They were a slippery slope from getting two to all the ones i have & want but i hope you're able to get some in the future. I think i like my eyebrow & lip piercings best. Thats a wild difference damn. Its been sunny mostly cool days right now but we keep going from warmer days to rain/snow warnings here. Oh hell yeah congrats! Strange but positive is the best combination to have honestly. Id also love to check out carnivale if that still happens in italy or mardi gras over here down in louisiana if i had time. Just love the idea of big celebration with cool stuff. Oh sparkle is quantum support with action advance & crit damage (?) boost. She's real good for seele or many teams really. I got archeron! Just need to get her light cone but damn was she cool in the 2.1 story. Not gonna spoil if you havent played through yet. Congrats on your archeron pulls! I think i might save for topaz now & get adventurine later? I do like how he plays but ill grab him later i don't think i have use for him yet. Swarm is so annoying i gave up on it for now terrible fuckin enemies. Mood what set are you usin on archeron? I love her talent too just. Insta enemy kill what a time saver. FOR FUCKING REAL but at least using acheron in sim uni lets one skip the non boss battles so thats a massive timesaver and also makes dealing with the swarm a lot less problematic. since you only have to deal with the big guy at the end and not trouble yourself with the occasional encounter on the way. seriously tho acheron is so cracked in sim uni. she let me get the achievement for finishing every battle with all allies at 100% hp. im currently using band of sizzling thunder + inert salsotto [LOL] on her!!! as i said. scuffed but does the job for now. but im gonna get her pioneer diver of dead waters + izumo gensei and takama divine realm since i heard thats whats best on her. and yeah her kit is super fun!! and have fun with that!! honestly fair, tho im just stuck in my holy trinity of hi3 - hsr - noita. also i love the bartender event a lot both story and gameplay wise. very very cool. and thankies!!!!!!!

It started off well.
You woke up, refreshed, and on time. You touched up your hair in the style you wanted, picked out an outfit that made your confidence skyrocket, and did your makeup just right. Hell, you even got a quick run-in before work and had time to make and eat a proper breakfast instead of snagging an apple, rushing out the door like you did every other day.
You were happy and calm. In control. With an extra pep in your step, you walked into the office with a smile on your face, and baked goods in hand to give out to all your co-workers that you had prepared the night before.
Today will be good. Today will be good.
Those words looped in your mind like a broken record as you set the cookies in the break room, smiling to yourself as your friend Mindy was babbling about her current girlfriend and how beautiful she was.
“ How’s that boyfriend of yours anyways sweets?” she asked, taking a sip of coffee. “Oh, Loki? He’s good! Really good, actually.” you gushed, cheeks going warm at the idea of the man. “Someone’s blushingggg…” she teased, and you smacked her arm gently, trotting off with a playful roll of your eyes.
“ Get some work done today Y/L/N and stop gushing over the man!” Mindy called from behind you and you turned around to stick your tongue out at her.
That was hours ago. It all went downhill from then. Papers after papers piled upon your desk. You couldn’t count on two hands how many times your boss had called you into his office, asking you to do more and more tasks.
It didn't help that your computer was running at the speed of a sloth, and your coffee was bitter and cold. You were spiralling out of control, yet again. And here you were, alone. Loki wasn’t here to help you, to hold or love you.
You wanted nothing more than to curl into a ball with Loki and cuddle, watching a Disney movie on the couch. Yet here you were on the edge of another nervous breakdown.
The job sucked. It really did.
Mindy and money were the two things that got your ass out of bed to show up and put in the effort. With your head in your hands, you sighed, feeling the tears build up. When was the last time you took a break today, other than this morning before you clocked in with Mindy? Did you even take a break? You couldn’t remember, head turning to mush.
Your day was almost done, the clock’s hands ticking closer and closer to your escape from his hell. Ding!
pretty boy: how’s my favorite girl today?
A small smile appeared on your lips at the notification. You missed Loki more than anything right now.
you: she’s pretty stressed. missing her boyfriend and wanting his touch -xx

You shivered at the memory, the sickness you felt a few hours prior. Almost hurling your guts up in the washroom was not a productive use of your time, your boss would say. Daily, the attacks would sneak up on you at the worst times, causing you to feel sick. The butterflies would flutter, your heart beating too quickly. The room would feel too hot, your head would feel light. Every time you just imagined Loki with you- his soothing touch, his soft, silky voice calming you down.
pretty boy: darling i’ve told you so many times- you are not a burden. ever. i just wish i was with you.
you: me too baby.
pretty boy: …
pretty boy: are you done at 7 button?
you: yes. attempting to keep my cool until then

A smile crept upon your face at his message, and you shut your phone off with a click, slouching back in your chair with a huff. The hands on the clock faded back into your consciousness, the faint ticking sound humming dully in your ear.
An hour left.
You stretched your back, joints popping you sighed in relief. People began to trickle out of the office slowly, the sky growing darker as you continued to scratch your pen against the papers, typing up logs and reports. You were tired. Everything ached. Your head was throbbing, your joints stiff and your hands cramped.
The idea of a hot shower and the coziness of your favourite fuzzy blankets Loki had bought you called to you like a siren, the thought of the warmth and comfort alone had you weak in the knees. Just as you thought you were going to chuck your chair across the room, your phone buzzed. 6:58.

You nearly cried, the relief of being done with this place for two days had you jumping from your seat and scrambling to get your desk organized. Papers were done, reports written up.
With a smile, you shrugged on your coat and grabbed your purse- near bolting down the stairs and out through the front lobby. You spotted his car parked across the street through the bay windows, his tall brooding figure stepping out of the driver’s side.
You almost laughed, his all-black attire standing out against the bright hues of the trees and flowers from the park behind him. Loki was intimidating, you’d admit. But not to you. Never to you. He was tall, towering at 6’4 with muscles that would put the gods to shame. His stare was intense and dark, and if you were caught under his gaze for too long, you best hurry along. He always had a twinkle in his eye for you though, his gaze softening, a smile forming on his face whenever you were near.
The thought of his outer shell breaking- just for you, made you giddy like a little girl who got a valentine back from her middle school crush.
“ Have a good weekend Miss. Doris!” You waved the last secretary on shift, earning a smile and a little wave from the older lady at her desk. With one last glance at the shimmering chandelier above you, you stepped through the revolving door.
Holy fuck. It was fucking COLD.
Bundling up your jacket tighter around you, you quickly ran over to Loki’s open arms, getting wrapped in his warm, loving embrace. You clung to him like a koala, peering up at him as his deep laughter rumbled through his chest. “Someone’s cold hmm?” he teased, cupping your frostbitten cheeks, stroking them with his thumbs. “It appears so huh?!” you pouted, playfully booping his nose with your finger.
Time flickered and jumped back again as leaned down to kiss you, his touch coaxing and gentle. You moaned lightly at the taste of his soft lips, his taste of honey staining your lips. You shuddered, from the cold and his touch as his hand snaked back to cradle the back of your neck, his kiss loving and sweet.
You could always hear a story through his kisses, whether they were playful pecks, rough and messy- or gentle and loving, like this one. These kisses were ones where he missed you, and he ached to keep you protected and in his embrace. You knew he wouldn’t leave your side the whole weekend, and you were more than okay with that.
“ Missed you most, little button.” he murmured, holding you tighter to him, allowing you to inhale his scent of wood and musk. “Not possible.” With a roll of his eyes, he shooed you towards the passenger side, feeling your cheeks still tinted with cold, even after his kiss. You smiled even bigger when he reached for the door handle, opening the door for you. “ Such a gentleman!”
The warm air blasted from the vents and you sighed with relief as he shut the door firmly, trapping the heat in. Your cheeks were burning from the temperature change, and you shivered- rubbing your hands together. Loki quickly slid into his side, setting a hand on your inner thigh and squeezing it lovingly.
His sweet voice distracted you from any anxious and stressful thoughts, fogging up your mind with sweet praises and love to block the ideas of your boss’s nagging voice. As the light turned red, he leaned over and kissed you like his life depended on it.

“When did you stop by?” you asked him, digging for your keys in your purse, the keychains dangling as you put the brass key in the lock. “ Five. I missed the smell of that vanilla candle you have.” You laughed, rolling your eyes. “ Loki you know you can buy them anywhere right? Target, Walmart, Homesense?” The door swung open and you sighed, happy to be back in your little townhouse. “ Not yours…” he mumbled, sliding off his boots and setting them on the rack.
The number of times you had scolded him for boot in the house must have stuck, and you nodded in acknowledgement as he set them down with a snort. Muddy boots in your house were a huge no-no. Loki never let anyone boss him around, but the scowl you made when you tracked the dirt on the floor had him rethinking testing you. Plus, you threatened no sex- which sent him running back to the front door and grabbing the broom each time he forgot.
“What should I make tonight baby? I was thinking linguine- Oh!” you stopped in your tracks, feeling Loki sneak up behind you and tug you close with his arm. A brown teddy bear sat perched on your marble kitchen island, a red heart stitched in his paw. A bouquet of tulips were placed next to a bottle of red wine, your vanilla candle flickering beside it.
You were so touched you could cry.
“ Whats this baby?’ you asked, cheeks flushed as you turned around to meet his cheeky grin. “Wanted to spoil my best little button.”
“ Awh honey!” you cooed, kissing him gently. “ Thank you baby. But it’s not a holiday- you didn't need to buy me anything. You don’t even need to get me things on holidays… I have enough stuff in storage-”
“ Can I not just spoil my best girl?” he cut off your rambling, walking over to give you the bear. “ No.” you giggled, grabbing the bear and holding it close to your chest. “ Smartass.” he grinned, snatching the bottle of wine and an opener. “ I’m making dinner tonight honey. Spoiling you means you do- no. work.” he emphasized, pouring you a glass of the dark red liquid, swirling the glass. You rolled your eyes, knowing there was no use fighting him. Plus, that gave you time for that hot shower you were craving.
“ Fine. His name is Bucky, by the way.” His eyebrow cocked in confusion. “Whose?”
“ The bear- dumbass.”

The night was going amazing. You hadn’t lifted a finger, and it felt good. That’s one of the many things you loved about Loki, he understood. He could sense when you were tired, or anxious, despite being a closed book most of the time.
Loki loved spoiling you, and in the relationship, he tended to be in control and baby you, which was a nice change from your work and social life. You adored the man. Despite the many times you had offered to help cook, he shooed you away.
Stepping out of the bathroom, you smelt of lavender and vanilla from body wash and scrubs you had used in the hot shower, your skin still soft from the lotion you had applied. Slipping on one of Loki’s sweaters, you trotted out of the bedroom, shaking your damp hair like a dog.
You didn't miss the subtle glance he gave you, looking you up and down with a smile in a glint in his emerald green eyes. His gaze lingered on your legs, chuckling softly at how his sweater covered past your knees. A book was calling your name, and you swiftly grabbed a dog eared off the shelf and clambered into the corner of the L-shaped couch. The fuzzy blanket warmed you as you read your book by the fire, listening to Loki humming to the soft jazz music that trickled from the kitchen as he cooked.

Dinner was amazing, to say the least. Loki had cooked your grandmother’s lasagne recipe, with homemade tiramisu for dessert. Cleaning up with him was a nightmare, the two of you splashing water and suds on each other while washing the dishes.
Stuffed, free of bubbles and contempt, you snuggled up with Loki on the couch, a blanket draped across the two of you. A movie played quietly in the background as you stroked the bulky arm that lay draped across your chest, drawing patterns along it.
He kissed your head softly, tracing circles along your lower stomach. His touch was comforting and soft. It was everything you needed. It felt like home.
“ Thank you for tonight baby.” you whispered, snuggling closer to him. “ You’re welcome. Although you do know once I marry you you’ll receive that every second of every day… right?”
“ Will I get tiramisu every day too?” you pouted, and Loki pinched your side playfully. “Every day. Only the best for my button.” he smothered you in kisses, emitting giggles and protests from you. Eyes wandering from the screen, you glanced down at the coffee table to see the candle flickering dimly in front of you, the scent of lavender wafting through the air. Oh shit. “ Hey baby what time did you say you came here at?”
“ Five I think? Why?” Your eyes widened in alarm. “ And you left here at six?”
He shifted to face you, his dark onyx locks falling down around to frame his slender cheekbones. “ Yes? Is something wrong button?”
“ You left a candle burning for TWO HOURS at the house ALONE?!” He slowly nodded in confusion and you sighed, placing your head in your hands. “ Loki you could have burned the house down. What if it actually burnt down? Do you know how pissed my landlord would be? He’d kill me in my sleep. And all my bobble heads would get burnt to a pile of ash-”
Oof! A pillow smacked your head, cutting you off. You glared at Loki- a mischievous look in his eyes, grin as evil as the cheshire cats.
“ Button, I love you but- shut up.”
“ Oh, it’s war now boy!” you grumbled, snatching the pillow and hitting him playfully. The pillow fight lasted a whole ten minutes, ending when you rolled on top of him and straddled his lap. “ I won. Fair and square. Don’t pick battles you can’t win Laufeyson.” you huffed, blowing a strand of hair that landed in your face from the duel.

The red-haired man sighed and continued walking around, eventually drifting over to the giant tree in the middle of Windrise.
He stops next to the base of the oak tree, slightly lowering himself down. You weren’t exactly surprised that he could carry your weight, since he wields a giant claymore as a weapon, but you couldn’t feel not just the tiniest bit bad for him.

“Hey, sorry about the bet...” you trail off, taking a seat on the grass and letting the wind graze your face.

“Yeah but--” you stopped. There was absolutely no way that you would win this debate.
The pyro user looked at you after a few seconds of silence. You usually talked a lot more than this and strongly believed in sharing your thoughts, so what was stopping you now?
“You know what? Let’s just go to the winery and take a walk there together.” You begrudgingly got up from your spot from the cool grass and started to walk in the direction of the winery.
There were a few hurried steps coming from behind you, assumingly from Diluc, but you paid no mind to him. He probably just didn’t wanna leave you behind--
“Woah-- hey! Diluc, wh--”

“..what time is it..?” you let out a large yawn and covered your mouth. Since you had just woken up, your brain had refused to function properly. And with that, it took you a while to realize that you were laying on a bed.
Albedo was still working on something (you weren’t sure what) but stopped to wake you up.

“Look... I promise this is gonna be the last place. If we don’t find any, we can go back to Wangshu Inn and ask Verr Goldet for some,” you reasoned.
The adeptus remained silent, but didn’t show any signs of displeasure. You took it as a yes.
“Wanmin restaurant has some, I think! It’s the best of the best in Liyue too.”
“This better be worth it.”
“Don’t worry, it will! I’ll even pay for it and everything!” He sighed, making his way toward the restaurant. Honestly, you didn’t wanna even get anything to eat. For the most part, it was just spoiling Xiao for once since he never went anywhere and only ate the almond tofu Verr Goldet made at the Inn.
I hope that you can be happy, at least for today.

Beej chats with you when he knows you're not listening
Fluff, pining
It was a long rough week, you were absolutely exhausted, you could barely stand, your knees wobbled as you finally arrived home, everyday this week has been hell between work using you to cover everyone and do everything, and personal family drama you had to attend too, you were glad to finally be home, safe, quiet, where nothing was expected of you, you could finally recharge.
Kicking your shoes off and tossing your bag and jacket aside to deal with later.
As you shamble to your bedroom, eager to swap your work clothes to something less constricting, you tap away on your phone, ordering dinner, you were too tired to cook anyway.
In your bedroom, you were quick to ditch your uniform in replacement for an over sized shirt and a pair of pajama pants.
Removing your bra felt like a weight has been lifted, as you slip on your pajamas you felt 100 pounds lighter, you flop down on your bed, barely clinging to being awake, as you were about to doze off, your phone blares to life with its loud ringtone, you groan in frustration, you force your body to get up and dig for your phone in your pants pocket, you miss the call by a second, before you could check who it was it buzzes again, you nearly drop the phone, startled, you fumble with the gadget, quickly answering the call, assuming it was your incompetent coworkers needing a question asked.
"What are you wearing?~"
You frown, knowing that voice anywhere
"Beetlejuice-"
"Oh baby, you will be wearing me by the time I'm done with you~" he moans
You scowl at this joke, too tired to really deal with his sense of humor, yes the ghoul could easily make you laugh with their lewd jokes, but honestly you were so tired nothing else really mattered.
"What-"
"So we gonna hook up? Or are you standing me up?"
"What?"
"Y/n what day is it?"
You're silent for longer then youd like to admit, beetlejuice starts before you could respond
"Friday, movie night, so, let's hear that magic b word sweetheart~" he chimes in a sing song tone.
As tired as you were, I guess a chill movie night would be fine, if you doze off during you could survive the teasing, wouldnt be the first time.
"Hello? Sugar? I'm not hearing my name come from that pretty little mouth of yours~"
You snap back, guess you zoned out longer then you thought, you utter a quick sorry, and shuffle to the living room.
"Beetlejuice, beetlejuice, beetlejuice"
Your apartment goes dark, you sigh, the ghoul had a thing for making an entrance
"HONEY IM HOME" the ghoul shouts, within seconds you are hoisted up from behind in a tight bear hug, Beetlejuice's head resting on you shoulder "babes I missed ya, you're such a mean little thing forgetting about our movie night, or were you just playing hard to get~" he purrs that last part.
Clearly embarrassed you try your best to squirm out of your predicament, the demon only cackles at your actions
"Keep wiggling like that sugar and your gonna give me a-"
The ghoul was interrupted by a knocking at your door, his eyes light up, before you could get a word in, you are dragged along to the front door
"Its showtime"
...
It was amazing how you were still able to order take out with all the nonsense beetlejuice did to the delivery guys, but it just goes to show that it's all about money, and let's be honest, nobody is gonna believe them, yeah sure, a zombie looking guy took the pizza and then turned into a pile of snakes.
...
Movie night was the same as always, Beej successfully snuggling up close with an arm around your shoulder, ever since the change of seasons he found you no longer took the lead on getting up close and personal, meaning he had to take initiative, not that he minded, since regardless of the temperature, you didnt mind him cuddling up, which was nice, you were so warm to the touch, he adored it.
Movie night was always a blast with the demon, yes you've seen this horror films 100 times, but watching them with Beej always made them more lively, his enthusiasm was so contagious. But as much fun as the evening together was you were officially out of energy, you tired in vain to keep awake, last movie night you dozed off midway through you delt with merciless teasing for a week, but all your effort was for not as you felt yourself slip into dreamland.
"Alright Doll what's up next in our-" the demon finally noticed you were out, he frowns, yeah it was cute, and sexy when you fell asleep on him, but it was really becoming kind of a pain on how hard you worked and how much it drained you, breathers are delicate, and besides he wanted to spend some real legit alone time with you.
The demon snaps his fingers and the two of you reappear in your bedroom, you being tucked into your bed, beej floats up beside you in a lounging position.
The ghoul stares at you, watching you naturally settle into a deep sleep, once a few moments have past and beetlejuice was sure you were out cold, he leans back placing his hands behind his head and let's out a deep sigh.
"Ya know doll, the other week I was in the netherworld for business, bumped into an old pal, buddy was going on and on about this demon he was banging, and boy, the look on his face when I told him I was banging a hot little breather, man, fucker was jealous, I mean we arent technically banging, yet." He whispered
This was a habit of Bj's chatting to you when you were asleep, he didnt need to sleep, so this was a nice way to pass the time.
"I showed him that photo of us lyds took, ya know the one, you were sitting on the couch playing with you phone and I had my head on your lap? Yeah, I keep it in my wallet, hell, it's the only thing in there" he snickers
You mumble something unintelligible, Beej hums in response
"Of course not sugar, I dont keep condoms in there, i prefer to go raw, demons cant get breathers pregnant anyways, wink wink"
The ghoul sighs reclining back and putting his hands behind his head
"Ya know, while I was down there, I had to file some paperwork with my Mom, the bitch she is, was going on and on about how I need to stop screwing around with breathers, she just doesnt get me, you know how it is"
You grumble in response
"Oh, yeah I know I told ya a sandworm ate her, shes back, it's a long story" he huffs with a scowl.
"Yeah she was saying how theres no point of me tricking another breather for a green card to live again, and I should leave you alone, fuck her, ya know, I dont need to trick ya for a green card, i know you're head over heels for me babes, and once you finally admit you love me and we fuck around for a bit, then I'll pop the question." He trails off looking in your direction, your were laying on your side facing the demon, as if you were awake listening to his every word, the demon sighs, staring at you sleeping form, god slash satan he had no idea what he did to deserve you, his sweet caring breather. He could always come back to you, you were all his, you just didnt know it yet, and that was fine, for now, soon he'll get you to confess your undying love.
"What would I do without our little chats" he sighs, his eyes fixated on you, a purple hue begins to creep into his hair, he sighs again
"The only time I can be honest with ya huh babes?"
You mumble in response
"Its not like I dont WANT to be honest with ya, its just, come on, you gonna believe me? A demon from hell falling head over heels for a sweet little breather? I can barely believe it" he stares at you, his hair now completely purple.
"You know I love ya right?" The confidence in his voice fading, the question sounding more desperate then anything, as if the ghoul needed you to know or hed die again.
"...beee" you sigh
Beetlejuice perks up at the sound of your voice "bee?" Were you dreaming of him? The ghoul could just melt at the thought
"...beetlejuice"
You were
The purple in the demon's hair began to mix with hints of pink, his little breather was dreaming of him, the ghoul leans into you, his face inches from yours, studying your face in hopes to crack the mystery of what kind of dream you were having
"...beetlejuice" Again you mumble his name in your sleep
"Do you dream about me often babes? Ya know I dream of you~" he chuckles
"Beetle-"
Before you could finish the b word the demon shakes you awake
"Fuck" you say with a start "beetlejuice what are you doing" you grumble less then thrilled to be woken like this
"You were about to say the b word 3 times babes, had to put a stop to it" he chuckles sheepishly "you were babbling my name away in your sleep, guess you missed me huh?" His nervousness turned into a more confident jab
"I was? I-" you babble
"If you REALLY miss me baby cakes I could slip into bed with ya? Keep ya company" he leans in inches from your face, a moment passes and beetlejuice can see the hesitation in your face, yes he's snuck into bed with you multiple times, but he always left before you noticed.
"I wont do anything creepy" he begs grasping your hand as if to reassure you
"....okay" you whisper
The ghoul's eyes light up at your response in a flash he sheds his suit, leaving only a pair of boxers and slides under the covers next to you, the ghoul is over come by the warmth beneath the covers, and quickly latches on to your even warmer body.
"Good night Bee" you sigh "I'll try not to say your name 3 times"
"Night sugar♡" he cuddles into your chest making you the bigger spoon, though you were the smaller out of the two of you.
As you drift back into a deep sleep beetlejuice begins talking to you again
"You really know how to spoil a guy huh sugar, I guess I can wait a little longer till you say the 3 little words, as long as ya keep treating me like this♡ good night y/n, I love you"

Are you still working on your Commonwealth study? Do you have any thoughts on Arthur's relationships with his colonies apart from Canzuk + US?
Not properly, unfortunately with exams and then work I haven’t had mental/emotional capacity to do real research (and probably won’t for a while 😔). But I have continued to think about and develop certain relationships, and I think I also have old hcs I’ve never shared, so I’ll put those down!
Born into the Empire
Australia
@oumaheroes has already done such great hcs on him idk what I can add, but basically he was a little bit of a rowdy child, always breaking windows and shattering fancy pots, never able to sit still. I think rainbow once mentioned that Ken (short for Kenneth, my name for Aus) was a lot like England as a child in his curiosity and energy, and I wholeheartedly agree. But I think Arthur’s intensity was more inwardly directed, pushing him to pursue and master new talents and learn whatever he could, while Australia is a little more carefree in his love for the outdoors, exploring, jumping around and off things, little wild animals. Unfortunately for him, he was born in a period of the empire when Arthur was very serious about his kids education, and therefore often praised those who studied hard and learned fast, which really just wasn’t Australia’s cup of tea. Australia took this kinda hard and thought he was the “dumb” one in the family that Arthur was always scolding, but in reality Arthur knew and appreciated that Australias interests lay elsewhere — he was just a frustrated, tired, parent who really wanted to give his kids the best while also holding his empire together, two goals that were never going to fit well in the end and would completely exhaust him.
As Australia’s grown older he’s realized a bit of this (not entirely, though) and also that 1) he really did break a lot expensive things and cause general mayhem 2) scolding us Arthur’s way of showing he cares, if he didn’t he wouldn’t have payed attention to him at all 3) despite being a penal colony, he was still one of Arthur’s more “legitimate” children (being white and a boy) and was therefore still incredibly privileged — never having to question, for example, why it was that Arthur was his dad, if it should be this way, or if he had a seat at the family table at all (more on this later).
New Zealand
Zee, from birth, was a clear favourite. Obedient, calm, quietly intelligent, he would also later develop a blistering sense of humour which combined with his appearance made it overwhelmingly clear who’s child he was. If Ken questioned his place in the family because of his poor academic record and others did because of their appearance/race/other complications, Kaelan never had such problems; his siblings called him the “prince.” Zee, however, also had a charm that, like Matthew, endeared him to his siblings and mostly protected him from jealousy, though he certainly still had issues with being called a try hard, daddy’s boy, bossy, arrogant. Certainly as a child Zee was a little prideful and, under that unperturbed demeanour, willful, but he grew out of it by the 20th century and became one of those most trusted by Arthur, second only to Matthew. He’s also always been inseparable from his brother Australia despite their differences, and today they both have one of the healthiest and most amicable relationships with Arthur of any nation, let alone former colonies (family road trips, every summer).
Bermuda
I absolute fell in love with this girl after reading about here, once, in this fic by @shachaai, and after that my mind just ran away with me. For me, her human name given to her by Arthur just has to be Ariel — for the little mermaid reference, yes, symbolizing her connection to the sea and stunning good looks, but also because:
1. Ariel is a biblical name, meaning lion of God. This makes sense to me, because Bermuda began as a Portuguese trade post, so Arthur definitely consulted our resident bad catholic Port before naming her.
2. Ariel used to be boys name. This also makes sense, because I hc Bermuda was and still is a tomboy. Bitch is fierce, takes no prisoners, and has zero filter. Her letters to Arthur, which all the colonies sent so Arthur could keep an eye on things, were full of shit like “I swear to god if the Spanish don’t get out of my waters I might eat one of them,” and “father, I asked you for destroyers two months ago, and yet you sent them to Hong Kong — could you explain this most unusual occurrence, surely it’s not that you forgot”, and “thank you for the harpoon on my birthday, I caught a small shark a couple days ago and have sent you some of its teeth for your collection.” Arthur tolerates this attitude because he’s weak when it comes to girls; he absolutely spoils his daughters (and flushes like a 16 year old when a woman so much as bats her eyelashes at him). Yes, p*ssywhipped Arthur is a hill I will die on.
3. It also suits her because? Ariel? Shakespeare? The Tempest? Bermuda Triangle? Shipwrecks? Daughter-like figure of powerful and vengeful sorcerer? Yeah. And this girl is a fire spirit — she is so lively, snarky, clever. As she’s grown older she’s mellowed out a little, but still: a no shit taken, no fucks given type of gal.
4. Speaking of growing up, she’s also become quite the beauty. Shacha, if I’m remembering correctly, described her as dark skinned, wavy-haired, and green eyed and that image has been burned onto the back of my eyelids ever since. Those Iberian genetics really be pulling through for her, that’s for sure. Engport love child if I’ve ever seen one. Definitely one of the prettiest in her family.
Singapore
I’ve already mentioned this to needcake, but I’m not too big a fan of canon Singapore, so this is my oc version. Singapore is fascinating to me because it had only a very small local population before it became a colony (The original settlement had actually been destroyed by the Portuguese about two centuries before the British started building a port there.) So nation-tans like Singapore and Bermuda really are Arthur’s children in the most direct sense of the word. And yet, Singapore is mostly ethnically Chinese, with Malays being the second largest group. Growing up Asian in a white, Victorian era family surely cannot have been easy and more than once Singapore probably wondered if there hadn’t been some mistake. To make up for the constant fear that he wasn’t “really” British, Singapore studied ferociously and had a truly terrifying work ethic. I’m not sure if this is common knowledge outside Asian circles, so I’ll mention that this hc comes from the fact Singapore is well known for having truly exceptional students and some of the most prestigious schools. Singaporeans score highly in literally everything and they have an advantage with good English learning environments, a highly desirable trait in Asia, but these results come from brutally long hours — and its really saying something that they’re known for working hard, considering the studying ethic of students in Korea, Japan, and China aint nothing to sneeze at, either. To me this actually fits really well with Singapore’s upbringing in Arthur’s household, because Arthur himself prizes intelligence and hard work above all else, being a workaholic himself.
As for their relationship, it was probably the best when Singapore was young and peaked in the 1930s with the massive naval base the British built at Singapore, at the time the largest dry dock in the world. Singapore was a well-behaved child, not necessarily introverted but not rowdy either, and all the way into his teenage years he truly admired Arthur and was proud to be a part of the British Empire, despite his lingering unease and insecurities. The British defeat in World War II, however, was a massive turning point. He had worked his ass off to be a good son, a good brother, to contribute to the only family and system he had ever known, and he had thought by the 30s he was finally on his way to becoming a fine adult. And suddenly, the British surrender brings his entire world crashing down. He had followed the rules faithfully thinking it was his destiny, but suddenly it was clear that all rules were made up. Of course, his insecurities exploded. If the empire was a ruse, what the hell was he? A part of the illusion? He couldn’t have a truly Asian identity, because many of the old East Asian nations shunned him for his Western upbringing, and he could not entirely understand their values either. So he was a kid who kinda had to figure out late and very very suddenly who the fuck he was and wanted to be.
And, well, he’s done pretty well for himself, hasn’t he. After having a total crisis and questioning everything, I think Singapore slowly started to realize that just because the British Empire as a political entity didn’t last forever, that didn’t mean that his entire childhood and identity weren’t real. The love he gave to his siblings and the love he got back, the hard work he put in, his bond with Arthur and the safe, happy childhood he had — those memories and feelings didnt have to be diminished by what came after. Essentially, he learned the lesson all nations have to learn, which is that one needs to be able to discern between duties as a nation and feelings as a human being, and to some extent keep them separate to protect both.
Whoooooo ok I’ll stop there because this turned into a dissertation, sorry. Let me know if there are any specifics u want me to elaborate on or anything I missed, but I’ll leave this here for today :)

was embarrassed for yuta when he asked if she was staring at him

they have very similar taste in decor so they often go shopping together for things to put around the dorm
doyoung said that he spends the most time in lian’s room because it smells like vanilla all the time

she got scolded but it was iconic orange haired jungwoo with a chain-

nctzens think jungwoo is her favourite member
maybe because lian said he was

Secrets Part 4.
Bakugo x reader, Bakugo x Uraraka, Kirishima x Reader
Fluff, language, very little angst
Word Count: 1,266
Idea: Y/n has a secret to share with bakugo not expecting a secret from him. She leaves heart broken and attempts to move on. But how will she move on if her secret can no longer be hidden? She fakes a relationship hoping its enough to not expose the true origin of the secret. (This is a terrible summary but I cant say much without spoiling future parts. 🙃)
(Y/n is roughly about 4 months pregnant going on 5 months )
“Mina- Y/n is not huge-“
Mina ignores kirishima and looks at you, she grabs your belly, “Oh my god you and bakugo finally got pregnant!”
You stiffen when you hear that and out of the corner of your eye you see kirishima does too.
“Actually mina... Me and bakugo are not together anymore...”
“WHAT?! WHY?! WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME SOONER?!”
“Mina dont be so loud... Let’s talk about this at that cafe over there”
Mina looks over to where you are pointing and nods, “Fine” she grabs your arm and practically drags you there so you can hurry and tell her the tea. Kirishima rushes after you not wanting you to be alone.
As you sit down Mina speaks up again, “Alright tell me already!”
You look at her and sigh, “We are not together anymore because he cheated on me...”
She looks at you in disbelief, “Why the hell would he do that bullshit? And with who??”
“Ochaco” She widens her eyes. “NO FUCKING WAY- YOU’RE TELLING ME THAT BITCH HAS BEEN ACTING INNOCENT EVERY TIME I SEE HER?”
Kirishima looks around and apologizes your the pink haired girl’s outburst.
You hush mina and she glares at you but lowers her voice, “Okay so he cheated on you but why are you pregnant?” She gasps and speaks again, “Don’t fucking tell me he left you alone pregnant? I will kill that son of a bitch”
“NO-no Mina the child isn’t his.”
She looks at you confused, “Then who’s is it?” She looks over at kirishima who suddenly becomes interested on that slightly off colored tile on the floor. “ITS KIRISHIMA’S?” You shush her again so she says it lower, “its kirishima’s??!”
You and him nod at the same time. You feel a bit guilty lying about the real identity of the baby daddy but its better if no one knew. “Well at least you now have someone who cares and will stay loyal no matter what pussy ass skank bitch throws herself at him.” You sense the shade thrown at Ochaco but stay quiet.
You look at kirishima and see he’s looking at you smiling. You smile back and look back over to mina who is deep in thought. After a moment of silence she speaks up, “When will the others know about you’re baby?”
“We actually don’t know how we will tell the others...”
She gives you a sly smile and responds, “I know the perfect way”
You are filled with dread knowing she likes to go overboard, you look at kirishima and you see the same reaction. “What are you thinking of?”
“A BABY SHOWER!”
Your face brightens up, “Oh that’s a great idea! Right Kiri?”
He looks at your face and nods, “Yeah mina that is a great idea”
“Then its settled. I will plan it all out!”
“Are you sure Mina? I can help? I am literally home all day now.”
“No, no, I can do this myself. Are you home now because of the pregnancy?”
You nodd, “Yeah I’m not gonna do any hero work until after the baby is born”
“Well okay, you can help with some stuff..”
“Thank you!”
“Wait- does the public know you’re on a leave? Or that your no longer with Bakugo?”
You shake your head, “They don’t which is a good thing because then no one will really know I am pregnant.”
Kirishima reaches for your hand and says, “We should go continue shopping before it gets late baby”
You blush at his name he gave you but nod, “Its been great catching up with you Mina! I’ll talk to you soon about the baby shower!”
Mina waves and shouts as you leave, “Congratulations again on your baby, y/n! I’ll see you soon!”
You walk with Kirishima back to the stores and end up buying a couple of things for yourself to wear and for the baby. Kirishima almost bought everything they sold in the baby section but you stopped him from going overboard. “Kiri, this baby will be spoiled rotten if you continue to buy so many things for them!” You laugh at his small blush and hear him say, “I just want the little angel to know just how much I love them!” You nod, “I understand, darling but lets tone it down a bit, how will we carry all of this home?” He looks at the pie of bags you both have got and sheepishly smiles, “You’re right lets go home now”
You give him a small kiss on the cheek and head home.
After putting away all the things you guys bought Kirishima puts on the news as background noise while you both start dinner.
After finishing dinner, You begin to serve but stop when you hear your name on the news,
“Now for todays news, Pro Hero (hero name) is no longer doing hero work until the foreseeable future. We have gathered intel and found out that they are leaving hero work for now because they are pregnant!” You scoff and laugh because damn. They’re late to figure that out.
“An anonymous tip says she cheated on Pro Hero Ground Zero with his best friend Red Riot.They are seen multiple times together holding hands out in public. Ground Zero has refused to comment and we have yet to hear confirmation from (hero name)
Or Red Riot”
With that you become angry because first of all how dare they assume your a cheater. If anyone is the cheater its Bakugo. Kirishima walks to you when he hears the news and wraps his arms around you. “Don’t fucking listen to them, babe. Tomorrow, you and I will give out an official statement together.” He pulls away and looks at you before giving you a soft kiss. “Come on lets eat, babe.” You nod and finish serving dinner.
Midway through dinner you hear frantic knocking on the door. Before you get up Kirishima gets up and rushes to open the door to find Izuku looking at you both with wide eyes and Shoto behind him. “Is it true?!” Izuku walks in followed by Shoto.
“Nice to see you too Izuku” Kirishima says sarcastically.
Izuku glares at him but asks you again, “Y/N! Is it true you’re pregnant?”
“Izuku for being my neighbor and seeing me everyday you sure are blinder than a fucking bat”
He blushes but continues, “I didn’t know! I am shocked you didn’t tell me! You’re best friend!”
Kirishima who fakes being hurt from Izuku’s words, “I thought I was her best friend!”
“No, you’re the boyfriend” both you and Izuku say
Kirishima acts hurt, “oH wow- Shoto help me out here- wait why are you here?”
Shoto and Izuku blush at the same time.
“Kiri, baby, isn’t it obvious? They’re boning each other”
At your words both boys turn even redder and begin stuttering before finally izuku manages to get out a proper answer, “We did not come here to talk about me and shoto boning-“
You and kirishima burst out laughing as Shoto and Izuku look embarrassed even more.
“Okay okay lets stop being mean kiri baby” he stops but continues to smirk at the couple in front.
“Izuku will it make you feel better and forgive us for not telling you we are expecting, if I say I want you and Shoto to be the god parents?”
“Hell yeah, shoto you hear that? We are future god parents!” Shoto smiles and nods at Izuku as you shake you’re head.
Shoto speaks up after a while,
“So Kirishima, how does it feel to be a dad?”
