Probably an unpopular opinion but James Potter was a grade a asshole (you know the type: rich popular guy who thinks he can get away with anything) before he had his whole character development arc around year 5 (probably the same time as the prank) so can we have more fics of asshole james before he learns that the world doesn’t revolve around him

A/N: sorry about all the Encanto posts recently, I know this was originally a Marauders account, I'm just so so so obsessed, but I'm back to writing for my favourite boys, enjoy and, as always, my ask box is open!

the first sign you're closer to him than nOrMaL PeOpLe, is that he lets you touch his hair

nobody, I mean nobody, is allowed to do that

except maybe Remus but

it takes a while for him to open up to you

this mans trusts you with everything

his birthdate, childhood secrets, hell he'll probably tell you about distant family members weddings and how shit went down

everything

and he expects the same back

but won't push you if you're not ready, he gets the need to wait

he always needs his hands on you

or to need to be IN ARMS REACH

mans has issues, he's a baby™

He likes being able to hold your hand, or have an arm around you, even when you're sitting on a couch in the common room he has his legs tangled with yours

his friends are so bored already, but they're a little relieved all this affection he'd built up is finally getting out

he'll make you food

it's almost always burnt, raw, too sweet, or stale

but he tries?

when your sick, or on your period, he gets a lil awkward

he doesn't really know how to deal with it

he'd probably ask James what to do, maybe Remus on the off chance he can't find his adoptive mother

yes James adopted Sirius you can't tell me I'm wrong

you know I'm not, quit lying to yourself

he might be needy, true, but he knows when to give you space
