As someone who is genderfae (microlabel under genderfluid), I have a lot of different experiences with gender.

I just wish someone told me sooner that it won't go like "today I'm a girl" "today I'm an enby" but more like ,,, "today I am a swamp witch" "today I am a feminine victorian vampire boy" "today I am a forest goblin collecting people's stares about my gender expression like shiny rocks on the ground" "today I'm an androgynous pirate lady"

Like,,, sure, are those real genders? I don't fucking now. If a cisgender person asked me what I identify as that day, would I answer like that? No, definitely not.

But to my genderqueer, trans and genderfluid friends; do you get me? I can't be alone with this, right?

Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine, even down to the concept can be incredibly misogynistic and erase nonbinary folks, and when used in contemporary spaces without even acknowledging the movements they came from can be incredibly, incredibly harmful.

Gods and deities are energetic extensions of the universe which is and never has been defined by male or female. Nature, by default, is genderless and concepts of divine masculinity and femininity simply do not exist within nature. This is coming from a professional naturalist.

Masculinity and femininity are ONLY human concepts. Point blank period.

It’s okay to say a deity has a masculine or feminine energy, or recognize them in a male or female form (I certainly do, as a genderfluid/genderqueer individual), but to assign all things as Divine Masculine or Feminine while often associating feminine traits as negative (fragility; submissive; sensitive; weak; over emotional) is INCREDIBLY harmful.

honestly i think the whole double trouble controversy could have been avoided if 1) they had shown more shapeshifters with different genders; or 2) if they had etherians who were also non-binary or were under the nb spectrum.

The Athena Cabin basically just adopts Peter as one of their own. Since Peter's "Godly Parent" doesn't have a cabin and isn't even Greek or Roman, he has nowhere to stay in Camp Half-Blood so Malcolm invites him to chill with them since they have pretty similar powers (The powers part being inspired by this post by @/demigods-posts)

Wanda and Hazel are like the best of friends and they spend hours watching old horse movies and cat videos together. If they're not with the main groups, they're definitely holed up in Wanda's room. Vision and Frank are allowed to join them but honestly get ignored and shushed most of the time

This is honestly just canon atp but Apollo is Nico's number 1 fan and he's constantly hyping him up during visits

Thor and Jason have some sort of rivalry going on. Not even they understand it honestly

Leo's super petty and refuses to tell Quill about anything important in his life, now. "You can't even tell me yourself that dad's dead but you expect me to tell you where I go to college? Get bent"

Nico genuinely believes that Leo and Peter think birds aren't real and are government spy drones. He's one wrong word away from signing them both up for a mental stability check

The demigods are some of Loki's favourite people purely because she gets shit-talk material from them

I have to be very annoying, very sorry, spoilers are under the cut and fueled by sheer excitement

unsure how to properly describe it, but essentially Kate and Luke Fox (Batwoman and Batwing), are invited by Nocturna to... have a spooky good time? or nightmares, but what's the in-between truly hehe

focusing on Luke, he hears someone crying in the next room. turns out, it's a lottt of victims being,, drained? or tortured? not fun times :(

he's so nice, im ashamed to not know much of the batfamily <:(

and this makes me SO happy because it enforces this mindset i have of things are VERY RARELY as they seem with magic. (witchcraft specifically, but aaa)

the victims are all crying out, "Why her, but not me?" which ofc would rattle any hero. i like that at some point you have to realize you're only one person. people will get hurt, people will die. you cannot be everywhere at once.

BUT BAM, REVEAL, ITS OUR BABYYYY

it's odd trying to decipher what his goal was here. he says Luke was supposed to save a suffering soul, so was the goal just to make him realize he can't save them all, much less in a space of magic and mysticsm? or in a more general setting of heroics..

Happy Witchcore Samantha Wednesday!

For those of you who are new here, this orginally stemmed from my obsession with Sam Winchester and Sastiel in the Supernatural fandom, and in an attempt to provide Sam a better life, created an AU with a transgender MtF witchcore Samantha, a genderfluid cottagecore beekeeper/gardener Cas, and non-binary toddler Jack

New audiences call for a slight change in direction, and while Samantha, Cas, Jack, and I are still available to answer questions about the family, Witchcore Samantha Wednesdays will now be focusing on making moodboards that fit the cottagecore and witchcore vibe. Suggestions and prompts are always welcome, just shoot me an ask or a DM! Today's moodboard is dedicated to @lord-kaira, who suggested the theme of embroidery.
