Red Robin is in the middle of tying up a pair of thugs when a particularly bad cramp hits, twisting his insides like a blender and stabbing his gut with the viciousness of Damian with his katana; he grits his teeth, willing the pain to go away, and works his nimble fingers around the cord to finish off the knot.

With the criminals now taken care of, Red Robin taps the comm link in his ear, "O, I got two thugs tied up here."

"On it, Red. Alerting police now." Oracle responds after getting the location.

Red taps his ear once more, effectively shutting off their communication, then grapples to the top of a nearby building to wait for the police just in case the goons escape, or someone comes along to cut them free. While waiting, another cramp has Red clutching at his stomach and he has to sit down on the building's roof to stop himself from swaying on his feet and falling over the edge. He groans, cursing to himself as waves of pain wash over him, and his vision flutters before he realizes what's about to happen- fuck.

Suddenly, Red Robin falls to his side, vision black as excruciating pain grabs ahold of his consciousness and knocks him out.

Red Hood is out on patrol, surveying his territory for trouble and shooting (rubber) bullets at anyone who provides it, when he notices the collapsed figure a few buildings away, just on the outside of his territory; when he gets closer, he realizes who that figure is, red chest piece and black sleeves and leggings giving it away before Hood even sees the yellow bird head in the middle of the figures chest: Red Robin.

Muttering curses to himself, The Hood bends over and picks the other up, throwing the smaller male over his broad shoulder. With Red Robin hanging over his shoulder, Hood's arm around his thighs to keep him from slipping, Hood turns in the direction of his nearest safe house.

About halfway to his hideout, Red Hood smells the metallic odor of blood thanks to the absence of his helmet, only wearing his domino mask tonight, before he feels a wetness against his shoulder, and he curses once more. "If you got blood on my goddamn leather jacket..."

He grumbles to himself, moving faster now, obviously so he can clean his jacket sooner and definitely not because he's worried that his (brother) replacement is injured.

The pair arrive at the safe house without incident, and Hood is quick to lay Red Robin on the couch that Hood himself has laid injured on many times before. He begins to strip Red of his suit, of his crime fighting persona, starting with the mask, turning Red Robin back into Tim Drake. The cape comes off next, then the chest piece, and so on.

Tim is down to his underwear when Jason realizes the other has no injures- scratch that- no open wounds, because in this line of work? One is always injured in one way or another, Tim is no exception, but none of the youngers current injuries are bleeding, and that confuses Jason. He looks down at his jacket, which definitely has blood on the shoulder, and at his hands, that are sticky with crimson; he then goes through the difference pieces of Tim's uniform, searching for blood, when he comes across the wet spot at the crotch of his leggings- his hands pull away covered with blood, and of course he didn't see it, because Tim's leggings are black and so are his underwear, but that means-

Jason looks at Tim's chest, where identical crescent scars shape his chest, and he remembers the gender marker on Tim's file when Jason first found out he'd been replaced as Robin and went snooping, and how the F was crossed out with a M next to it, and-

Tim is on his fucking period.

Tim wakes up in a bed he doesn't recognize, in a room he doesn't recognize, and he's not in uniform even though he remembers that being the last thing he wore, instead dressed in an oversized pair of black sweatpants and a red hoodie that engulfs the whole upper half of his body, and he knows he's seen this hoodie before...

There's a nightstand to the right of the bed with a bottle of painkillers and a glass of water on the surface, as well as a bottled sports drink from Tim's go-to brand. In front of the nightstand are two plastic grocery bags from a corner store native to Gotham, one filled with a variety of Tim's favorite snacks and different brands of chocolate, the other filled with pads and tampons in a multitude of sizes-

Tim slips out of the bed and quietly opens the drawers of the nightstand, snooping around for anything to tell him where he is and who lives here. The first drawer contains medical equipment, bandages and gauze and hydrogen-peroxide, etcetera. The second drawer is half filled with shirts and half filled with pants, though under the clothes lies a pocketknife and picture of... Alfred and teenage Jason?!

Tim sighs, now knowing who brought him here and where he is, or where he thinks he must be: one of Jason's hideouts. Still, that doesn't mean he's safe, as Jason has hurt him before- what if this is all just a trick, a trap? Tim slowly opens the bedroom door and tip-toes his way out of the room and around the corner, where he sees a uniform free Jason hunched over on the couch, wearing grey sweatpants and a green t-shirt and scrubbing at what looks like a leather jacket.

Jason doesn't look up as he sighs, "You owe me a new jacket, pretender."

"And I owe you a new jacket because?" Tim raises an eyebrow as he walks fully into the room, stopping a few steps away from the couch.

"Because," Jason emphasizes the word as he looks at Tim, throwing the jacket at the other, "you got blood on it."

Tim looks at the stain on the jackets shoulder.

"You do know I found you passed out on a rooftop, yeah?" Tim doesn't answer, throwing the jacket back. "What happened?"

Tim scoffs. "I think you know, considering the bags you left by the bed."

"If you're in enough pain to pass out on a fucking roof, then you shouldn't be out there in the first place."

"Don't tell me what to do!" Tim oh so cleverly fires back as another rush of pain hits him full force, and he stumbles for a second before catching himself.

"You didn't take the painkillers." Jason rolls his eyes as he stands, letting his jacket fall to the couch, and he grabs Tim's arm, dragging him back to the bedroom. "Come on."

"Let me go, asshole!" He tries to fight back, but he's in too much pain, though he's brought some comfort when he's pushed to the bed and a blanket is thrown over him, and he stays quiet when Jason hands him two of the painkillers and the glass of water, taking them without protest. However, he does ask, "Why are you doing this?"

It's now Jason's turn to raise an eyebrow.

"Why are you being nice to me? Don't you care that I'm..." Tim's voice trails off.

"I don't. It's none of my businesses." Jason shrugs, picking up the bag of pads and tampons from the floor and dropping them next to Tim on the bed. "You might wanna use these. I didn't... I didn't think you'd be comfortable with me going that far, so I just put you in my sweats. You can put on something else if you bled through. Bottom drawer."

Jason walks out of the room before giving Tim any time to respond, and Tim just stares for a minute, what the fuck on the tip of his tongue, before he takes Jason's advice and grabs the bag, making his way towards the bathroom.

Heyyyy I love your dc stories and I wanted to ask if you maybe would write one for me.

Story would be: Teen trans!male reader that is (soon to be officially) adopted by the batfam and has been with them for a while. He didn‘t tell them he was trans and Jason was going into reader‘s room for a usb stick or something like that and sees blueprints and a handmade binder reader made so he can patrol better. Reader walks in on Jason staring at the binder and almost get‘s a panic attack. That is because the adoption is to be official soon and reader is scared that they would kick him out for being trans. Jason comforts him and it turns into a heart to heart. Dick and Tim were searching for their brothers bcs patrol starts soon and they didn‘t show up in the cave. They find them in reader’s room. And then fluff just ensues.

This is SUPER self-indulgent and I would love for you to write this since I‘m awful at writing myself :)

Four days. Four days until you become a legal member of the family. At first, you were ok keeping being trans a secret, but the closer the official adoption day came, the more anxious you became. Sure, Bruce donated to tons of LGBTQ+ charities and several of your brothers were on the queer spectrum, but how would he feel having a son who was…different?

Would he still want to adopt you? Even worse—you knew your family’s more private lives. How you had taken on a private life. What would happen when Bruce tosses you aside when he inevitably finds out?

You were sitting in the kitchen, scrolling on your phone and eating cereal despite it being around 12:00 am.

The door to the kitchen opened and you glanced up to see Jason coming in, clad in his Red Hood suit, save for the helmet.

“Yo, loser. You got a free usb? Need it for blackmail storage.” He asked casually.

You raised your eyebrows in a ‘seriously?’ expression and swallowed the bite in your mouth.

“Yeah, it’s in my room on my desk. Next to the lamp.” You went back to scrolling through your phone. “You better buy me another one, I need it for a school project.”

Jason just gave you a thumbs up and walked out of the kitchen. When he got to your room he walked to your desk and grabbed the usb, but something akin to blueprints caught his eye and he stopped to examine them.

‘Hope he doesn’t go snooping through my room, I could have embarrassing stuff lying around.’

You thought to yourself, taking the final bite of cereal.

‘Though I don’t know what he’d find—basically everything embarrassing is hidden or put away…’

You drank the milk from your bowl and got up to put it in the sink.

‘What did I even do in my room today?’

You were hardly paying attention to whatever was on your phone screen now.

‘basically just worked on making my binder and I put that away—‘

Your heart dropped to your stomach and suddenly the cereal wasn’t sitting well with you.

‘You didn’t put it away because you weren’t done with it tonight. You didn’t put it away because you were hungry.’

You dropped your bowl and it shattered on the kitchen floor. You ran as fast as you could to your room, through the broken shards of the bowl.

You practically threw yourself up the stairs and sprinted so fast to your room you almost passed it. You caught yourself on the doorframe, panting heavily. Your feet stung so much, you dropped to your knees.

To your horror, Jason held the design for your binder in one hand and the prototype in the other. Your throat constricted suddenly and you heaved for air. Jason looked at you and he dropped the binder and blueprints in his hand. He rushed to your side.

“Hey hey hey hey. What’s wrong? Are you hurt? Deep breaths. In for four, out for four. Follow my breathing.” Your older brother placed your hand on his chest and demonstrated the breathing patterns.

You followed to the best of your ability, focusing on being able to breathe so you could talk and explain and maybe—just maybe—have a chance to not blow this.

When you could breathe relatively normally again, you immediately began to explain.

“I swear—I swear—it’s not—I don’t—I just—PLEASE DON’T KICK ME OUT! YOU’RE THE ONLY REAL FAMILY I’VE EVER KNOWN AND—” You settled for when you couldn’t explain what was found out about you.

“HEY!” Jason snapped you out of your rambling. “Who said anything about being kicked out?”

You hadn’t even realized his arm was around your shoulders but it suddenly felt comfortably heavy. You rubbed away the tears that had gathered in your eyes and looked at him.

“First off, you’re still being adopted, ok? Nothing will change that.” He started with. “Second. What you’re doing is extremely dangerous. Why are you binding unsafely?”

You looked up at him.

“I just…I couldn’t bring myself to even consider coming out to you.” You gulped heavily, looking back to the ground. Jason’s arm tightens around you comfortingly.

“I’m sorry if we ever made you feel like that. I’m sorry if I ever made you feel like that.” Your older brother says sadly.

You shook your head ‘no’, leaning into him.

“It wasn’t your fault. I just didn’t have the courage…” You trail off.

“When I came out—it—“ Jason huffs a laugh. “Man—it was awful.”

You looked at him, urging him to keep going.

“Ok, so I found out I like guys and girls, right?” He was smiling now, adjusting himself into a more comfortable position. “But I was all anxious to come out, ya know? I found a guy I wanted to go out with and I didn’t wanna hide it from…dad.” You didn’t ignore Jason actually calling Bruce ‘dad’.

“—and this was before Dick came out so he had like barely any idea about labels and stuff—“ Your older brother continued. “So I stand up and tell him ‘Bruce, I’m bi.’” Jason paused.

“And?” You asked.

“I have never seen someone so smart, so confused. He says—entirely seriously—‘Jason, you only speak one language.’” Jason burst out into laughter.

You laughed with him. It felt nice. You felt seen, in a way.

Time passed, you’re not sure how long. Maybe an hour? It was long enough for two of your other brothers to take notice and look for their missing brothers, ready to berate them for being late to patrol.

You and Jason were on the floor wheezing after he had showed you some meme he found.

You heard a knock on the door and saw your two older brothers peer into your room. Dick titled his head and Tim raised an eyebrow at the state of you and Jason. Them walking in sobered you up a bit from your laughing fit. You swallowed and glanced at Jason. He sat up and nodded at you encouragingly.

Dick and Tim glanced between the two of you. You stood up and cleared your throat.

“I’m—I’m trans.” You ripped the band aid off.

Dick and Tim blinked owlishly at you. Tim talked first.

“So…your pronouns are—?” Tim started.

“—he/him.” You interrupted.

Tim nodded, still seeming to process the information. Your answer seemed to only confuse Dick more. Jason made eye contact with Dick and gave him a look of “say something, asshole.” That startled Dick from his stupor.

“Dude! I’m so proud!” He said gleefully, opening his arms for a hug, which you gladly gave.

Tim gave you a side hug too.

“Does Dad know?” Dick asked.

You shook your head

“No.” You sighed.

“You probably should tell him.” Tim patted you on the back.

“But what about the adoption—“ You were cut off by Jason.

“Hey, what did I say about the adoption?” Jason scolded.

You groaned. “Yeah yeah…coming out won’t change anything…” You sighed.

Your three older brothers nodded in approval which made you roll your eyes.

“We’re proud of you.” Dick smiled and ruffled your hair. “Bruce will be too.” He added.

“Proud of what?”

You looked to the door and saw your father standing in the doorframe.

You took a deep breath and walked over to your father.

“Dad, I’m trans.” Your voice cracked and you couldn’t meet his eyes.

A large hand rested on your shoulder. You looked at Bruce.

“Well we better make sure those adoption papers are correct then.” He smiled at you.

And you smiled back.

Maybe sometimes the reader ends up falling asleep cuddled up to Tim.

Headcanons

You and Tim started dating because he was one of your most regular costumers at your families Café. It was known for making strong but delicious coffees and pastries. So, when Tim started coming by pretty much every day, you two got closer.

You two had gone on a few dates, when during pride month you hard worn a trans pride pin in your apron. Your family’s café had always been open and accepting to everyone, but hateful people still came by.

So, when someone tried to be hateful towards you because of your trans pin, Tim stepped in and ripped them apart verbally. After they left, he made sure you were alright, checking that you were well both physically and mentally.

Tim’s family doesn’t know you are dating as he wants to keep it a secret for a while, just so he can have you for himself without his family being overbearing, digging into every part of your past, or trying to embarrass him around you.

This results in Tim sneaking out to see you most of the time, there’s even been times during patrol where nothing had been happening, so he snuck off to go spent time with you. You had discovered he was Red Robin on accident, so now he comes and goes on the regular.

Its after patrol one night that he says he’s going back to his nest, but instead he sneaks off to go see you instead. Its late at night or rather very early in the morning when he arrives, crawling in through one of your windows after making sure he wasn’t spotted.

Normally you would be asleep by now, but you had been working on some important things for your family’s shop and some rather annoying costumers and work partners. So, when Tim sees you still awake, he makes his way over and wraps himself around you.

You make a joking flirty comment about your hero popping up right when you need it, since you need a distraction. You send Tim off to clean up and put on some normal clothes, going to the kitchen to get the coffee going before he comes back.

He kisses you and goes off to take a short shower and put on some of the clothes he’s left in your apartment over the time you’ve dated. When he returns, he goes back to cuddling up against your back, rubbing his thumbs over your hipbones as you both just enjoy each other’s company.

You end up going to your couch, cuddled up against each other as you sip on the coffee you made. You made the kind with very low caffeine so you can both actually catch some sleep if you need it.

If you haven’t had top surgery and use a binder Tim will make you get up before you’re too comfortable to take it off, since its dangerous to sleep with it on. He might also scold you softly if you’ve worn it too long as he helps you go through the stretches you need to do after taking off a binder.

Then he allows you to cuddle him all you want, draping a blanket over the two of you as you both look through the many options Netflix have to offer, cracking tired jokes and comments about there being nothing to watch.

At some point you both just settle on a movie you’ve watched many times before together, sipping your coffee until its all gone. Tim ends up taking the empty mug from your hands since your falling asleep against him, and putting it on the coffee table.

Tim wiggles around a bit until you two are in a more comfortable position before wrapping his arms more surely around you, kissing you as you sigh and cuddle closer against him.

When you fall asleep Tim reaches for the remove and turns down the audio a bit, adjusting the blanket over the two of you as he rests back against the couch as well.

Tim doesn’t fall asleep easily, so he ends up watching the rest of the movie by himself as you sleep against his chest, only truly feeling tired when the credits are rolling. He puts on another movie he’s watched a million times before, but ends up falling asleep pretty quickly after that.

Get what you wished for

First time writing a prompt: DP X DC au “get what you wished for”

Au where Danny is the blood daughter of Batcat is between Dick and Jason's age. Selina gave up Dione Luna Wayne as she help she is unable to raise her and Bruce would paint a target on her daughter's back. As a memento, she left two stuffed cats, a letter and a bat toy to remember her by.

How the Fentons got Danny: Gotham is full of supernatural energy, with the Lazarus pits under it. The Fentons trying to find a place to create a bigger portal with LP juice,(experiments can fuck you up reproductively. Jazz was a struggle to birth.)

Jasmine comes across Baby Dione and duckling imprints on her. The Fentons don’t realize the baby was abandoned and named him Danny, not realizing the wrong gender( they never do), no claim to the baby, ours now.

The Fentons take some LP juice to find more LP juice, which in amity park, there is a bunch(uncorrupted) and the ley lines are weak there. (finds house over direct access to an unclaimed Lazarus pit, and builds a secret third basement to get more ectoplasm to fuel their obsession. LP is ectoplasm btw.)

Danny is genderfluid but presents themselves as FTM Trans.

Portal time!: Danny shows his friends, Sam and Tuck his parent's third child, the portal. Peer pressured by their only friends, Danny goes into the plugged, malfunctioning portal, only to get zapped where their soul and body are fused as one being, unable to separate. (Danny sort of blames his friends for their death but appreciates that they are sticking by them. But later realizes they are their ticket to excitement.)

Jasmine notices right away that something is wrong with Danny. (Jazz is much closer to Danny in this au)

Danny is more independent in this au. (make more friends with ghosts, help them than enemies)

Danny by extension is an atlas of the Infinite realms and Earth, is pretty much op. Picking up skills and powers like nobody's business, (immortality? maybe, BAMF? definitely) Clockwork as ghost parent, Ellie, Dan, the other clones and Jazz as their sisters/brothers/ children and being High Eldritch sovereign of the Infinite realms. ( Fuck u, Vlad, everyone can see ur evil corrupt ass, creepy and fake)

Dual Obsession is space and peace/protection, has a multi-core and is blessed by the zone itself.

Amity Park is in a time/paradox bubble where the events of Danny Phantom occur. (in all 3 cannon seasons, they have never celebrated a birthday, I‘ve noticed.)

How Bat fam meets Danny: It’s been a few years, Danny reveals to their parents his status they are excited and can’t wait to figure out how he survived. The GIW has bugged their home and raided their house as their want also figure out how Danny survived, and make Super-Soldiers. (tipped off by Vlad)

Danny and Jazz take this as a worst-case scenario and book it to Gotham by Danny's suggestion because their bio-fam lives there and Gotham energy fuck with ectoplasm readings. Danny starts to look for his mom Selina, but when the civilian bat fam sees them, they look like a young Martha Wayne. Jazz starts working in Arkham internship for her Psychology degree and Danny goes to Gotham U for College. Some of Danny’s Ghost friends follow them, i.e: Desiree.

Angst time: Bruce's wish vs. Damian's wish

Bruce's wish: "I wish I knew you earlier in life to protect you..."

Bruce is given Dione at a very young age and does his best at trying to raise her.

Dione is clueless about her family's trade secret. She is a civilian and sort of grew up alone. (Bruce was busy being batman and CEO of WE, Tim drake situation, baby alone in a big empty house.)

Bruce still adopts Dick, Jason, Tim, Cass, Steph, Damian and Duke. (Damian and duke after the event)

Loves what Bruce does for Gotham, doesn't like that Wayne Enterprise takes most of his time away from the family, and hates Batman because of the ouroboros he creates in Gotham. (Endless cycle of crime, rehab, corruption, murder{Thank you, xmarksthespotonthemilkyway for Supervillain DAD! lex Luthor})

Dione has many hobbies to pass the time while she waits for her family, mainly she paints, writes and spends time with Alfred who she considers her real father instead of Bruce. (Being Batman has downsides, people!)

Selina visits her daughter at the manor and is pissed at Bruce for treating their daughter like a rotting bird in a cage. (Expect it to be there when he returns, to see it leave or die because you took too long to cherish it.)

• ANGST+: After Jason's death and resurrection, The sibs try to get Jason to come to the manor to show Dione that he is alive, at first Dione doesn't believe him or them, but he convinced her otherwise. This is where she learns that their vigilantes. (Jason and Dione were friends that get along like a house on fire, but the house exploded and Dione felt something missing in her life.)

Bruce and Jason as Batman and Red Hood have a huge fight in one of the manor rooms destroying some property and shit. Turns out it was Dione's painting room, where she was secretly working on a portrait painting of the whole family (including the late Jason Todd) for Bruce's birthday, and it gets ruined.

Dione berates them for destroying her work and declares that she fucking hates this family and what they put her through all the time.

Decides she wants to stay with Selina instead. During this time, Dione realizes a way to end the ouroboros cycle and decides to kill the joker in a quiet way, for all the hell he put her and her family through. (Lures joker to an unmarked hill location away from people to a hole in the ground with a wooden casket and fires five rounds at him. He falls in gets covered and is buried alive as he slowly dies from gunshot wounds. She can't have what she wants, and neither will he.)

Dione, later reveals to the family that she killed the joker after he doesn't return to Arkham and can't be found.

Bruce sends her to jail.

The sibs are pissed at Bruce for doing that, while at the GCPD, Dione is taken advantage of and raped by corrupt cops.

The sibs try to get her out and get her to tell them where Joker's buried, but she takes as the cycle is still continuing and commits suicide in Jail. (In her letter to them, she tells her final wish is to be buried on a hill with a clear view of the night sky with a big tree in an unmarked grave, so she can be forgotten as a part of her family, but not Gotham.)

Bruce feels fucking guilty that he pushed his daughter to this point, Selina and Alfred are at an end with him telling him I told you so and feel that Dione should not have been born into this life. (distraught, but once Damian and Duke enter the picture, they treat them better as a family.)

Dione is fully dead and becomes a ghost.

Batman and co. meet the new ruler of the Infinite Realms, and Recognize the ruler, Dione chose to let go of her past and forget them as they have done to her.

Damian's wish: "I wish you were never our sister..."

This is technically the Canon bat fam x DP timelines, but with a few twists.

• Dick is the one holding the fam together. He is more tired and stressed than before, maybe graying early..? (stressed and secretly depressed.)

• Jason is more angst and vengeful than normal and fucking hates Bruce. (Jason is like kill the serial to end the cycle, avenge me, Bruce.)

• Tim despises Damian more so than usual and tolerates Bruce. (baby brother attempts to murder, gets light punishment and the victim is not okay.)

• Stephanie isn't really part of the bat family, goes by spoiler, and is studying to be a nurse. (quit being robin earlier, distant self from negative influence, dated Tim, now Cass.)

• Cass, while mute doesn't communicate well with the rest of the family, which leads her to be quiet more often. (not expressive.)

• Duke, the newest to the family, has a hard time understanding the rest of the family's issues with each other, fearing the family's reaction to him being a meta. ( Batman is more strict with no metas rule, Duke still becomes signal. )

• Alfred is still Canon, but more strict than normal. (Put up with this shit Alfred, but loves his adopted son and grandkids.)

Bruce is still Canon. Mostly negative, hard on himself, the family and everyone he interacts with, and wears a mask (not a physical one) to hide his emotions. Is more Batman than Bruce Wayne. (grunts don't meet clear communication Bruce!!!)

• Damian is still Damian in this verse with his pets but loses his friendship with Jon. (no metas in Gotham, Bruce tolerates Superman.)
