could you give me some prompts for friends to lovers but one is oblivious to both of their feelings and the other is deep in denial?

A googling 'why does being around my friend feel different than it used to' and google telling them that they probably like them

A then doing a bunch of Buzzfeed style 'am i in love with my best friend' quizzes and all of them coming back saying 'yes'

that's when the panic starts

A is suddenly really awkward around B due to another google search of 'how do i stop liking my best friend'

B just continues going about their day (completely acting in love with A but not realising what they are doing)

this only makes A more confused and in denial of it all

Hungerily ripping apart their clothes and biting their neck and thighs as soon as they’re alone.

Forced proximity, that wouldn’t be such a problem if things weren’t changing between the two of you.

Home cooked meals, made special by the other.

Walking each other home from work.

Falling asleep on the couch, intertwined.

Fake-dating; either because you have to, (friends, family, a wedding, job) or because you two made an agreement when you were younger to get married.

Having to vet the other’s SOs.

Soft touches. A brush on the shoulder, across the waist, through the hair.

Everyone knowing that, oh, it’s those two.

People asking where’s the other if only one is present.

Minted keys to each other’s apartment.

Sleepovers because you're sick and they don’t want to leave.

Their parents always asking how you’re doing, and yours asking about them.

Bets on your relationship.

That kind of laughter that ends up like squeaking because you can’t hold it in anymore.

but then later on that evening they’re stalking the other’s instagram feeling and feeling a blush creep up their cheeks seeing the smiles on their screen

“we’re just friends!” they tell everyone who asks

but the others don’t see the longing glances across the library while some intense studying is supposed to be happening

“i could NEVER be with them.” they say when someone suggests it

but they can’t fall asleep without imagining what it would be like to snuggle up in their “friend’s” arms

because after all…

Going home and regretting they ever did that, because the look that their best friend gave them was one of terror and perhaps, disgust.

“It was just an accidental kiss. It means nothing.”

They both just wanted to relax and have a few drinks but when their best friend leaned too close, they couldn’t move from where they were sitting.
