You know what trope I wanna see more of? Couples who have been married forever who are estranged but still in love but estranged. You know me better than any other person on earth. I haven't seen you in three years. I never stopped loving you. If I have to spend another minute in your presence I will murder you. I'm hurt and I need you right here with me. God you're such a dumbass. You're the only one I trust to do this job. I want you out of my sight.

Enemies to Lovers Dialogue Prompts
"You drive me insane, you know that? I can't seem to get you out of my head."
"Every time I see your face, I want to punch it but kiss it at the same time. What's wrong with me?"
"You're infuriating. I don't know why I bother with you." "Maybe because deep down, you know I'm right." "Don't flatter yourself. I just enjoy the argument."
"I kind of missed having you around." "Oh, please. Spare me the sentimentality." "I'm serious. Life's been dull without your constant bickering."
"You're the last person I expected to turn to for help." "Believe me, I'm not thrilled about it either. But desperate times call for desperate measures."
"You're not as tough as you pretend to be." "And you're not as heartless as you'd like everyone to believe." "Keep telling yourself that."
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but... I think I'm falling in love with you." "Well, that's unfortunate." "Shut up and kiss me already."
"I hate that I can't stay mad at you." "Trust me, the feeling's mutual."
"You're infuriatingly attractive." "And you're... tolerable, I guess." "Gee, thanks. Remind me why we're not ripping each other's heads off right now?"
"I never thought I'd see the day when we'd be on the same side." "Yeah, well, life's full of surprises."
"Stop trying to kill me 24/7!" "Fine, but I can't promise I won't annoy you to death instead."
"You're infuriatingly persistent, you know that?" "And you're infuriatingly resistant. What's it going to take for you to admit you like me?" "Oh, please. Don't flatter yourself."
"Just because we are a thing now, I don't lose my right to insult and hate you sometimes."

Last Resort Pt. 1 (Maya Lopez)
Tumblr media
Summary: When Maya needs medical attention, you end up being her last resort. This, however, stirs up some unwanted, dormant feelings.
Maya Lopez x fem!nurse!reader
Warnings: blood, wounds, breakup, swearing.
Note: i'm not a doctor, so the procedures for the patching up are probably very inaccurate, so bear with me, i tried my best...also, bold are the flashbacks. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maya only narrowly escaped Fisk's men, who wanted her dead after she shot him in the face. The bullet in her abdomen was nothing short of agonising, and she let out a guttural moan of pain as she slumped against a wall.
The alleys of New York were dark, thank god, otherwise she'd have been spotted much faster than she'd have liked. The smell of the nearby dumpster made her nose wrinkle, but the sudden stab of pain in her abdomen distracted her.
It was only when she pulled her jacket over her shoulders and went out of the alley did she notice exactly which building she was in front of.
She remembered it vividly, from all the times she'd come here for nights too sinful to speak of, or too painful to remember.
The neon lights of the diner buzzed and flickered, casting a red tinge on the multicoloured sidewalk. She went towards the small side door from where she could enter the apartment building's lobby, and pushed the metal door open with a loud 'screech'.
She limped towards the elevator, and practically dragged herself inside. Her vision was getting dimmer, and the darkness lasted a bit longer each time she blinked. When she put a hand to her abdomen gingerly, it came away sticky, red, and wet.
She pulled open the door and despite having come there hundreds of times, she counted down the doors till she reached the one she wanted.
With a trembling hand and a disregard for all the thoughts rushing one after the other in her mind, she rang the doorbell.
You'd just gotten off after a very tiring shift. You were dead on your feet, and all you wanted to do was eat dinner and crash. However, the second you'd bitten into the burrito you'd just pulled out of the microwave, your doorbell rang.
You groaned in annoyance and walked over, opening it without looking through the peephole.
But the moment your eyes landed on the person, you wished you had.
Your hands came up, trembling, as you signed in disbelief, "Maya?!"
She looked at you with a raised brow and looked at you with an annoyed look on her face.
"Can I come in?" She signed, agitated.
Your brow furrowed and your fists clenched before you replied, "No, why the hell are you here at all?!"
She rolled her eyes, but knew better than to push past you. She knew you well enough that if she did that, she would definitely get a swift punch to the face.
"I need help. I wouldn't be here unless I was desperate," she replied, her brow still arched as she glanced down either sides of the corridor.
You rolled your eyes, "You said that you'll never see me again," you glared at her, leaning your shoulder against the doorframe. "What, did you lie about that, too?"
That last statement hurt. And it hurt more than Maya cared to admit. It was true that the pair of you hadn't ended it on good terms, and it was definitely true that her white lies had all come together to form a mess which broke the person she'd cared about the most.
Her abdomen gave another stab of pain, as if reminding her that she wasn't here for petty arguments.
The moment you saw her wince, your brows went up in concern, even though you wanted to maintain your irritated façade. You ushered her in, and shut the door, pushing her towards the couch.
She decided not to be difficult for once, and sat down as she waited for you to bring out your first-aid kit.
Your black cat, Kaz, meowed and leapt up on the couch beside her, rubbing himself against her arm. She felt the edges of her lips turn up in a small smile as she put a hand up to gently scratch behind his ears.
You stood in front of her after a moment, arms crossed and looking at her as if you wanted to say, 'what am I going to do with you?'. Instead, you settled for signing, "Bullet, or blade?"
She sighed slightly and leaned back in exasperation. "Bullet," she replied.
She didn't have to hear to know that you'd rolled your eyes and called her an idiot.
"Take off your shirt," you signed, grabbing a stool and sitting on front of her. Seeing her slightly bewildered expression, you looked at her with a disgusted and annoyed glare, "Not in that way, you pervert."
She rolled her eyes at your comment and yanked off her jacket, then her shirt. When you both were together, she'd almost always come home injured, and wouldn't ever feel awkward when you'd ask her to take off the obstructing fabric.
But right now, she honestly wanted to shrivel up and disappear into the couch cushions.
You didn't even flinch at how badly her wound was bleeding, and proceeded to grab a pair of what she thought looked like very large tweezers. You pulled on a pair of blue surgical gloves and turned your wrists to ease them up.
You signed up at her, "Better bite down on something, cause I can't guarantee that this won't hurt."
She didn't even have time to think before you picked up the tweezers again, and began to pull out the bullet with a hand so steady, an assassin would be jealous.
Pain tore through every atom in her body, and it took everything in her not to scream in pain. She instead settled for a very pronounced groan of pain as her fists clenched. She bit down on the knuckles of her right fist, eyes clenching shut as she waited for it to be over.
After what felt like forever, she felt the pain subside, till it was no more like her whole internal organ system was being set on fire, but more like her abdomen had just been run over several times.
No biggie.
"Worst part's over?" She asked. She noticed you tensing up, and regretted her choice of words. That was kind of her signature statement from before you both broke up. After she'd have asked that question, you would kiss her forehead and look at her very apologetically if the answer was no, and with a bit of relief if it was a yes.
You decided to harden your heart as it fluttered, and as your body tensed with painful memory. It took you everything not to kiss her forehead and reply as you used to, so you settled for a curt 'no'.
She felt your hands gently cleaning out the leftover blood from around her wound, and made every effort not to whimper. Whether it was out of pain or heartache, she had no idea.
Your touch was familiar, gentle, and memory-invoking. It made her heart flutter and hurt at the same time, and it made her want to cry of both sadness and relief.
At least your touch towards her was the same.
You tapped on her knee, catching her attention. "I don't have the proper anaesthesia for this, so I have to do it without," you signed. "Think you can handle that kind of pain?"
"Oh please," she rolled her eyes and signed. "I've handled worse."
Her cocky reply made you want to strangle her. However, your feelings were slowly conflicted, but you shoved them down with a force even the toughest wrestler would be jealous of.
'She's a liar, a backstabber, and she doesn't want you anymore,' you thought to yourself. 'You're just doing your job.'
"Alright, little miss stupid," you rolled your eyes and took off the first set of gloves and grabbed another after signing. "If you're so damn tough, then I refuse to have you holding my shoulder with a death grip."
She rolled her eyes again, "Just patch me up, you asshole. I didn't ask for any commentary,"
"And I didn't ask for you to be here," you signed in irritation. "But we don't always get what we want, do we?"
Maya winced and squeezed her eyes shut again as you threaded the needle and she felt the first agonising prick of it against the raw skin of her wound. Luckily, the moment was dissolved in a flood of memory.
"How does this happen every single time I patch you up?" You had signed, after you stitched up yet another bullet wound of hers.
She'd smiled sheepishly and signed, "I'm sorry, but that's what the job demands." "Well you're damn lucky I'm a nurse," you signed in a bit of annoyance before you put the first aid kit away.
You gasped when Maya's arms wrapped around your waist from behind, and she pressed a gentle kiss to your neck. It wasn't lustful, just innocent and apologetic.
"I am sorry," she finger-spelled with her arms still around you, resting her cheek against your shoulder as she inhaled your scent. It was an intoxicating, feminine scent of chrysanthemums, which always made her feel safe.
"You're lucky that I love you," you signed, turning around in her embrace to face her. She gazed into your eyes, waiting for your lips to twitch up in that adorable smile of yours, which made your eyes crinkle and your face practically glow.
After a moment, you did break into a smile, and she couldn't help but laugh softly. There it was. The smile which kept her going, the smile which made her less reckless.
The smile which lit up the darkness within her with a blinding light.
Now, there was no smile. Your brow was creased, eyes squinted in concentration. Your hand remained steady, as you slowly, patiently closed up her wound.
She kept her fists clenched, her teeth pressed against each other with the force of her jaw practically pushing them up into the gums. She only made the softest of groans here and there, refusing to grab onto you.
"Done," you signed after an agonisingly long period. "Now you leave. Do not, and I repeat, do not do anything which might stretch your abdomen. If these stitches open out, I recommend you either do it yourself with dental floss and a sewing needle, or go to the goddamn ER like a normal human being in medical crisis would."
"You talk too much," she signed, groaning as she stood. Her body had cramped up with how tense she'd become, and her muscles were killing her.
"You comment too much," you rolled your eyes. "Now, leave. I'm not doing any more favours."
"Fine," she scoffed. "Thank you."
"You're welcome," you replied, still keeping an annoyed expression on your face. "Out."
"Okay," she shrugged and grabbed her bag, leaving your house.
It was only when she'd reached home that she realised...
...she'd left her leather jacket on your couch.

Bonnie's life was on the line.. again.
The Other Side was collapsing, time was running out and as the anchor to the crumbling realm, she knew she wouldn't be spared. She stopped at her home and let Rose know. The news absolutely crushed her sister. Rose felt like she just got her back from when she died last summer. Becoming the anchor was her second chance at life but now it was being ripped away. Rose didn't even have time to argue a solution before she squeezed her in a tight hug and said goodbye. She was out the door, dashing off to pull Elena, Damon, and the others back from the Other Side.
Rose watched as the door shut behind her, wiping the wetness from her eyes before charging into Sheila Bennett's in-home study. From her life as a practicing witch and occult studies professor, their late grandmother had shelves full of ancient grimoires, scrolls, texts and items so she ought to have something that could save Bonnie. As the minutes ticked by, the piles of useless books stacked around her grew with her desperation.
"There's nothing here!" she muttered, slamming the heavy grimoire closed. The force rattled the desk and the shelf above it, knocking a scroll down in front of her. Rose blinked away her frustrated tears and lifted the dusty scroll, blowing it with her breath to reveal the Latin handwriting and symbols.
Tumblr media
After pulling her friends back to the living world, Bonnie anticipated the approaching light. She glanced back, meeting Elena's solemn gaze. They all gathered behind her, no words left to say as they watched their beloved witch meet the very fate she had saved them from. She knew she couldn't save herself and she accepted that. She only hoped that within the next few moments she would find peace with her grams and father.
The moment she closed her eyes, she felt a jolt of energy lance through her. Something changed. When she opened them, she was amongst the others but Rose stood a few feet away, the wind of the collapsing dimension tossing her brown curls, the white light reflecting off her face.
Horror gripped her when she realized she was no longer linked to the Other Side, Rose was.
She offered Bonnie an apologetic smile as she watched tears bead down her shocked face.
"I love you, Bonnie," she uttered just before the light consumed her completely...
and she was gone.
The brightness subsided as the wind around her settled to a calm hush. Rose could finally open her eyes and found that she was standing in the same place, at the boarder of Mystic Falls but everyone had disappeared.
She dashed around town calling out Bonnie's name, looking for her, their friends or anyone but it was completely deserted. She stopped to catch her breath in the middle of the town square, the usually bustling epicenter was empty. That's when panic set in, worrying that she was actually dead, though this didn't seem like the “peace” described or even hell. For that matter, she didn't feel dead, in fact she felt very much alive something she realized when her stomach growled. “Dead people don't get hungry," she told herself as she walked into the Mystic Grill. Much like everywhere else, the Grill was desolate. She made her way into the kitchen and found it fully stocked with alcohol and food that seemed up to date, so the town couldn't have been abandoned too long ago, she thought. Rose made a quick sandwich and walked toward the bar when her eyes fell upon the bulletin board. She nearly dropped her plate when she read the date on the calendar.
May 9th, 1994.

It didn't take long for him to notice that things were different. After 18 years of complete solitude, he grew accustomed to the consistency of the realm. His strong ability to detect the presence of magic, made it all the more obvious to him when the young Bennett witch touched down in his prison world. He tracked her down to a Virginian town called Mystic Falls where he first saw her in the living room nose deep in a grimoire. He slipped through an unlocked door and watched her silently out of her view. He figured she was looking for anything that would explain where she is or how to escape but she likely wouldn't find anything in those texts. Luckily for her, he planned on revealing everything...
In due time.
Just over a week passed and unbeknownst to her, Kai was watching the entire time. He’d stay up while she slept, curled up with her fuzzy plush lamb she called lamby. Most nights she’d clutch the stuffed toy to her chest and just cry herself to sleep. Like a sad shelter commercial, he enjoyed the pathetic display, though he hated the little white lamb with a passion, fantasizing about how much more she’d cry if she woke up and it’s head was cut off.
He observed everything, from her tendency to talk to herself to the she way she put tension in her lips when she was concentrating on the Latin of her texts. Clearly, she was a beginner and her general naivety would come to his advantage once he finally decided to make his move.
Tumblr media
Rose swayed her hips as she rounded the corner, pushing her grocery cart while singing along to ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody' by Whitney on her Walkman. He sat in a fold up lawn chair in the center aisle of the otherwise empty market, munching on a bag of pork rinds and watching with an amused grin, wondering when she would finally notice him. After deciding on a box of Count Chocula, she finally turned from the shelves and their eyes met. Her mouth fell open as she paused the tape and lowered the headphones from her ears. He smiled and gave a slight wave.
“Were you there the whole time?” She blurted breathlessly, taking him in. His face had a pleasant balance of soft and sharp features that made him both cute and intimidating and a mischievous glint in his blue eyes. The dark brunette wore a hooded jacket styled over a graphic tee, denim jeans and worn out converse.
“Yeah, I didn’t want to interrupt. You sounded amazing by the way.”
Her cheeks burned, “t-thank you… umm who are you?”
“Sorry, manners, I’m Kai. Nice to meet you.” He set aside the bag and stood up from the chair. Her eyes followed his ascent until he stood fully, towering over her. “And you are…?”
Her ears got hot. “Oh right! Rose- I’m Rose… excuse me, I haven’t spoken to another person in a while. I promise I’m not normally this awkward…” she sighed and averted her gaze downwards.
Kai shoved his hands in his pockets, “can’t be any worse than me I've been here since the very beginning.”
“You’ve been all alone for 18 years?" she uttered in disbelief.
Kai forced a laugh, “It's not so bad. There’s no traffic, everything’s free and privacy isn’t an issue… now, there is the crippling loneliness but that only creeps in once in a while.” He casually plopped back down on his chair and grabbed his chip bag.
“There’s no way out of here, is there?” She sighed.
"Nope, not unless you happen to be a Bennett witch…” he scoffed as though the thought were incredulous and popped a rind in his mouth.
Her eyes lit up. “Wait, I am! I am a Bennett witch.”
Kai grinned, “well then the odds just got a lot better.”
“So, is Kai short for something?” She asked as they walked back to her place. Kai offered to push the cart for her.
“Malachai,” he replied.
“Malachai,” she practiced softly.
“But I prefer Kai,” he tagged on.
“What about you, Rose is short for what? Rosemary or… Rosalie?”
She giggled. "You’re close, it’s Rosalina but I prefer Rose.”
“Rosalina... that's pretty, much more fitting if you ask me.” The way he said her name made her want to bite her lip but she opted to return his smile instead.
“This is me,” she announced when they came to her house. She led him inside where he was kind enough to help her put away the groceries.
“So, what is this place?” she asked.
“One of many prison worlds created by the Gemini coven. Anyone who opposes them is gifted their own personal hell dimension. I got mine on my 22nd birthday.”
“Why would they do that to you?”
He sighed, “most of it is coven politics- what you know and who you know, ya’ know? Long story short, my family betrayed me for more power. I don’t really like thinking about it.”
Rose understood and decided not to pry. “So, you know how to get us out of here?”
Kai leaned forward on the counter while he explained the Gemini coven always left a back door to their prison worlds and it was called an ascendant. Under the direct light of a solar eclipse a Bennett witch is to use her magic and blood to activate the device and transport them back to the real world. “We’re going to need a locator spell to find the ascendant. Without my magic, I haven’t been able to find it.”
“When is the next eclipse?” Rose asked.
“Time works a little differently here… the month of May repeats itself over and over, starting with the 9th. Every third time May 9th comes around the eclipse happens.”
"The last eclipse just passed a few nights ago… that means we have about three months to wait.”
“On the bright side, we have plenty of time to find the ascendant,” He noted with an optimistic air. It amazed her how he managed to be so hopeful and positive even after being trapped for 18 years. “After all this time, 3 months is nothing,” he murmured.
She thanked him for helping her with her groceries. “Well, I’m going to make stuffed chicken for dinner. You can stay if you want.”
“You just met me and you’re asking me to stay for dinner… I mean, I could be a serial killer,” he finished with a charming smirk.
“You’re too nice to be a serial killer,” she put matter-of-factly while taking out the chicken breasts.
“Ted Bundy was nice,” he retorted.
She smiled at his wit. “Are you staying or not? Because I need to know if I’m making one chicken breast or two.”
Kai relented, “Oh, alright. How can I say no to stuffed chicken?”

An Affair (Hero x Villain)
Warnings: cheating, mentions of domestic abuse
“You don’t love him.” Hero leaned forward, their eyes pleading. “You love me.”
Villain looked away, closing their eyes, and Hero’s heart broke.
“But it doesn’t matter, does it?” Hero’s eyes burned. A chasm opened in their chest. “You’re leaving with him anyway.”
“You don’t understand. I can’t—” Villain squeezed their eyes shut like they could block out the world that way.
“Oh there’s plenty I don’t understand,” they spat. “Like how you can sneak around with me, telling me you love me, and then go home to a man who doesn’t care about you!” Hero pressed the ice pack to their lover’s bruising cheek. “Or how you can whisper you love me while we make love, but then say you’re choosing him.”
Villain’s hand covered theirs over the ice pack. The touch of their hand had Hero looking into their soft eyes again. “He’s my husband. I have to leave with him.” They shrugged before wincing as the movement pulled their stitches. “I took the vows.”
The mixed determination and regret in their eyes made Hero’s heart shatter all over again. They couldn’t listen to this. They couldn’t listen to the love of their life list reasons for why they had to stay with their abuser. For why their lover chose that asshole over them.
They ripped their hand away from Villain’s, making them hold the ice pack on their own, and stumbled back a few steps. “We were married once. Does that mean nothing to you?”
Villain’s eyes closed. “Hero—”
“No! Stop making excuses for him! He hit you!” Hero thrust their hands through their hair, desperately pulling at the roots. “He lost the right to be called your husband after that!”
The tears that fell from Villain’s eyes had Hero falling to their knees in front of them. They shook their head, the ice pack dropping into their lap. The bruises on their face stood out sharply against the flushed skin. The cuts from the shattered mirror had stopped bleeding an hour ago but Hero knew the deep ones would scar.
“It’s not his fault,” Villain whispered, staring at the ice pack in their hands. “It’s mine. I shouldn’t have told him about us. You warned me not to, and I should have listened to you. I shouldn’t have made him angry. It’s my—”
Hero surged back to their lover, cupping their cheeks. “It’s not your fault.” They ducked their head to look Villain in the eyes. “He shouldn’t have hit you! He’s—”
“He’s right though,” they whispered.
Villain looked exhausted. More than they ever had in any fight. Sitting on the counter under the warm lights in Hero’s kitchen, they looked broken.
They looked like they were ready to give up.
“He’s not—”
Villain pulled out of Hero’s gentle touch. “We shouldn’t be doing this. We shouldn’t have ever done this in the first place.”
“Have an affair?” Hero didn’t move from their place between their lover’s legs. They dropped their empty hands to the counter on either side of Villain’s hips, caging them in. Holding them, even when they couldn’t. “Or fall in love and get married?”
“We’re enemies,” Villain whispered, a fresh wave of tears spilling across their cuts. “We shouldn’t be anything but that.”
“And he’s your husband.” Hero stepped forward until they could feel the heat of their lover’s skin, even through their clothes. “You and I are enemies, yes. We had a messy divorce.”
Villain’s laugh was wet and weak, their chin wobbling with the effort not to fall apart.
“But I never hurt you.” Hero lifted their hand slowly—enough time for them to pull away—and cradled Villain’s face. Their thumb traced a gentle line across their lover’s cheekbone, mindful of the injuries. Even amongst the bruises and scrapes, Villain’s soft beauty still made Hero’s heart pound. Especially their beautiful pleading eyes. Always so full of emotion. It was one of things they loved most about them.
“I never took my anger out on you. Not even when we are on opposite sides of this ridiculous war.” Hero’s other hand reached for Villain’s own. They threaded their fingers together. “He’s your husband now, and he hurts you worse than your greatest enemy ever has.” Their thumb made another sweeping pass, this time to catch the tears as they overflowed.
They held Villain as they trembled. “How can you reason that away? How can you convince yourself it’s okay that your husband makes you bleed more than your nemesis. I am the villain of your story,” Hero whispered, pressing their foreheads together. “And I take better care of you than your husband does.”
Villain broke. Their body shuddered as the sobs racked through them. They clutched Hero’s wrists, tugging them desperately forward as the dam broke.
Hero swore. They wrapped their arms around their lover and pulled them in tightly. Villain buried their face in their neck and broke down entirely.
“I’ve got you, sweetheart.” Hero wound a hand through their hair and wrapped the other arm around their waist. Villain wrapped their legs around Hero’s back and clung to them desperately. “I’ve got you. I’m not going anywhere.”
“I don’t want to go back,” Villain admitted with a cracked whisper. Their body shook with the force of their sobs. “It hurts so much. I don’t want to go. Please don’t make me go back to him.”
“Never.” Hero lifted their lover into their arms and carried them to the bed they’d shared not too long ago.
Villain clutched them tighter, shaking. “I don’t want to go. Please. I just want to stay with you. Please don’t make me go.”
“I will never let you go,” Hero swore. They didn’t let go even as the trembling pair fell against the pillows. “I am never leaving you again. And I’ll kill him before I let him come anywhere near you.”
An almost laugh fell out between Villain’s sobs. “You won’t. You’re too good for that.”
“He is nothing. Insignificant. No one will notice if he disappears.” Hero pressed a kiss to the crown of their head and held them as tight as they dared. “For you, I’d do anything.”
I will keep you safe, Hero swore silently. Even if I have to become a villain to do it.

“One of our suppliers has moved a little closer to home so we’ll be able to do work more directly with them, James I want you to be in charge of that piece,” George spoke directly to Bucky, who nodded in agreement. The weekly meeting of Barnes Inc. felt a little different this week after seeing you for the first time in so long. Seeing you at The Underworld, running into you on a date with Liam Stinson while at dinner with his parents, they all put Bucky in a downright weird mood. He’d been paying less attention at this meeting than he should’ve been but he couldn’t help it. Having you back in New York, and playing into the plans your parents had laid out for you, had Bucky’s mind reeling and his stomach rolling.
There had been many times over the last ten years that Bucky had regretted going about the issue with your parents the way he did. He couldn’t even count the number of times he’d kicked himself for not finding some way to talk to you before just disappearing. He could’ve told his dad, but then he worried that his dad would do something to provoke the Pierce’s and his family would get hurt, and then you’d get hurt. He could’ve tried to sneak a message to you to see how involved you were in your parents plans, to see if you had been planted near him to spill secrets and plans back to Pierce. But he didn’t. Instead, nineteen year old Bucky held onto the hurt he was feeling and let it fester deep inside, only opening up slightly to tell Steve the truth. Twenty-nine year old Bucky knew that he’d made a quick decision in a tough spot, and that it was a decision that would affect his life forever.
“Georgie Porgie Pudding and Pie, still kissing the girls and making them cry?” A voice rang from the doorway of the conference room after a brief knock. A voice that Bucky hadn’t heard in years.
“Anthony, it’s nice to have you back, my friend, but you know there’s only ever been one girl for me,” George spoke as he stood to shake hands with Tony Stark, a smirk growing on the latter’s face as he took in the room.
The Starks had been allied with the Barnes family for decades. After Howard had retired, he’d made Tony his successor and the connection with the Barnes family had been even tighter after they worked out a way for Tony to be their weapons supplier. Bucky had only found out at dinner with his parents that Tony had been working on moving back to the city, and that he was bringing you with him. Apparently George had been keeping up with your movements in the last ten years, and only part of the reason he’d asked Tony to move business back to New York was to have his supplier closer, the other was to bring you home. But George would never tell that to Bucky.
“Heard you’ve got a big shot corporate lawyer working for you now,” George joked, drawing Bucky’s attention back to the conversation at hand.
“Oh the best, you know it’s so nice to be back, but I’m not quite so sure she’s that happy to be back,” Tony was looking directly at Bucky as he spoke, making it obvious that he was aware of the reason why you left New York for California originally. Bucky held back the cringe that was threatening to make itself known on his face as Tony continued.
“But anyway, glad to be back. And in true Stark Industries fashion, there’ll be a welcome back gala this weekend, George old buddy old pal, you and the wonderful Winnie are both invited. I figured we should probably re-clarify to some members of the public…that we are in fact friends and occasional…coworkers.” Tony was speaking in code, something he did when he wasn’t sure how involved every person in the room was with the family.
“That’s a great idea, Anthony, but sadly Winnie and I will have to pass, it’s our anniversary this weekend. Thirty-five years,” George spoke fondly, “but, since James will be working closely with you as a liaison between Barnes Inc. and Stark Industries, maybe he could go in our place?”
Now THAT pulled Bucky’s attention back to the table immediately. George knew that you would be at the Stark Industries gala, there was no way you’d be able to skip out with a boss like Tony.
“What are you doing, dad?”
“Me? Nothing. I’m just making sure that the city is aware that Barnes and Stark are two closely related names, and what better way to do that than to send you in my place? You’ll be the face associated with that name soon enough,” George spoke as innocently as he could, making Bucky raise his brows in question at his father’s game. Steve was barely containing a grin at the situation that Bucky had managed to find himself in.
“Georgie, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’re trying to play matchmaker with your son and my lawyer? And let me tell you, that would be a very bad decision indeed,” Tony growled, seriousness lacing his tone as he took in Bucky and his family. Tony’s reaction actually made Bucky cringe this time, and Tony appeared satisfied by that betrayal of emotion, “oh yeah, Buckaroo. She told me everything. It would take a million years of groveling to pull yourself out of the hole you dug. Leave my kid alone.”
The whole room was frozen. Tony Stark wasn’t known to make random gestures of emotion, he usually preferred to stick with sarcasm, but the way he just spoke to the two heads of the Barnes family was proof to Bucky that he’d do anything for you.
Good. Someone’s gotta look out for her, he couldn’t help but think to himself.
“Understood, Anthony. Now, if we’re done here-,” George started before Bucky interrupted.
“Just make sure she leaves Liam Stinson alone. You know he’s no good, Stark,” Bucky spoke with a twinge of a threat in his tone, but Tony just laughed.
“You really think I can tell her what to do? You must not have ever known her at all, kid.”
The chair scraped across the floor as Bucky stood up quickly, his hands balling into fists next to him, Tony just quirked an eyebrow at him in a silent taut, but Steve just held his hand out to touch Bucky and calm him down, meanwhile George watched  all of this calmly from his chair at the head of the table. After a minute of awkward silence he cleared his throat, nodding his head for Bucky to take a seat.
“As I was saying, thank you Anthony. James will be there on Saturday and he will be on his best behavior, so long as you can promise you will be too?” George’s question was meant to show that while he respected the family’s connection with the Stark’s he wouldn’t accept future disrespect of the heir of Barnes Inc. next time. Bucky and Tony continued to glare at each other before both offering a nod and a half-hearted apology as the meeting drew to a close and members of the family began to file out. Before Tony could walk out of the room Bucky was approaching him, George just shook his head at the confrontation he knew he couldn’t prevent as he walked to his office.
“Woah there little Barnes, didn’t mean to piss in your cornflakes earlier. Good thing dear old dad was in there to keep the peace.”
“Tony, you have no clue why I did what I did all those years ago,” Bucky spoke, feeling the anger bubbling up inside him once more, when Tony was holding up a hand to stop him.
“I’m gonna stop you right there, Buckaroo. Because as far as I know, she doesn’t even know why you did what you did all those years ago. My question is, do you know what it did to her? It’s not my place to tell you so you won’t get a word out of me, but just know if you’re ever lucky enough and she decides to tell you in her own words, on her own time? Know that you’ve just encountered the strongest damn woman I’ve ever met in my life. See ya Saturday, Barnes. And I mean it, don’t fuck with her.” Tony spun on his heel, leaving Bucky and Steve to process his statement and his exit.
A low whistle sounded from behind Bucky as Steve walked up and clapped his best friend on the shoulder, “I’ve told you once, and I’ll tell you again. You fucked up.”
Bucky’s hands were tightening into fists again, this was a conversation they’d had multiple times. The one thing about Steve? When Bucky told him what he’d done? Steve flat out told him that he was the biggest idiot and had made the worst mistake of his whole life but that as his second, he’d listen to him.
“It was for the best and you know it. Why she decided to work for an asshole like Stark I will never understand.”
“Not so sure I ‘know it’ Buck, but I’ll let you keep living in that delusion. Now come on, we gotta make sue you’re all fresh and ready to go for this weekend,” Steve steered Bucky out of the room and as far away from Tony Stark with master precision, a skill he’d learned very well over the years.
The gala was the same as every other fancy party Bucky had ever been to. A bunch of rich people plying themselves with champagne and minuscule plates of food while stroking each other’s egos. Ever since he was a kid Bucky hated going to these events but he went because it was his job. He was the second-in-command of the family, and the heir of Barnes Inc., he had to make a good impression, which meant occasionally rubbing elbows with Manhattan’s elite. When you walked in the room it took all Bucky’s concentration to pay attention to NOT spitting out the champagne in his mouth. He watched you from afar, Steve would say he was being creepy if he was here, but he didn’t attempt to talk to you. No, Bucky was perfectly content with sitting in a corner, talking to whoever he needed to, and never speaking a word to you. Or so he thought.
Until he saw you being slowly engulfed in a small circle of rich assholes, your shoulders hunching up, and your knuckles tensing as they gripped the champagne glass in your hand. Bucky knew that stance, even if he pretended he couldn’t read your body language still, he’d only be lying. So he excused himself from his current conversation partner and strode across the room. As he walked up beside you he slid his hand across your waist, the warmth of your skin practically lighting him on fire, as he apologized to your company and drew you away to ‘dance.’
In Bucky’s mind, he thought of this maneuver as being doubly beneficial. He could get you out of an obviously uncomfortable situation, and then he could warn you off Liam Stinson. Easy peasy. Until it wasn’t.
Easy peasy until Bucky fucked up. Again. And said something stupid and tactless that made you pull away. With a final warning about Liam, Bucky knew his night was over. Walking back to his table, Bucky managed to keep an eye on you on and off throughout the evening. He noticed when you stumbled over your steps a little more and when you approached Tony and Pepper before heading out of the ballroom. Sam was accompanying Bucky tonight as his ‘chauffeur’ so he made sure to have Wilson stationed just outside the hotel where he could keep an eye on you, out of sight of course. It wasn’t until he received the all clear from Sam that you’d made it off site safely that Bucky began to relax. He replayed your conversation on the dance floor over and over in his head. Mentally hitting himself for saying what he did about “truly knowing you” the innuendo making him cringe as he took another sip of his drink.
When the night finally ended, Bucky straightened his coat and headed towards the door he knew Sam was waiting at. Halfway across the ballroom, he was stopped by Tony.
“What was that about, Barnes? I told you to leave her alone tonight and judging by the little stint on the dance floor you chose to blatantly ignore me,” Tony growled.
“Stark I was getting her out of the middle of the sharks, she was visibly uncomfortable.”
“Yeah and instead of the sharks the fucking Megalodon decided to take a bite. I swear to whatever god is listening, Barnes-“
“I warned her about Stinson, Stark. He’s not a good person. He’s obviously deeply connected to Pierce. You know this, I know this. He’s not good for her.”
“Oh but you are?”
“That’s not what I said and you know it,” Bucky spat, growing slightly more annoyed at the turn of the evening and just ready to go home, “I just needed her to hear that. It’s up to her if she listens.” And with that Bucky stormed out the door and into the night. Upon seeing Sam Bucky sent him to get the car as he leaned against the exterior of the Plaza and lit up a cigarette, the smoke filling his lungs and adding to the little buzz he already had in his head.
“Man did you see the tits on her? Can’t believe Stinson’s gonna be tapping that soon,” Bucky heard a voice exiting the hotel from behind him. A man walked out, talking on the phone as he waited for his ride, ending up right beside Bucky.
Bucky had tensed at the mention of Liam’s name, hoping that whoever the guy was talking about was just some other woman. His mistake.
“You think Liam’ll give me a go? I’d like to fuck that L/N bitch at least once, could you imagine those legs wrapped around my waist, oh fuck or even better those lips wrapped around my co-.”
The man didn’t have any time to react before Bucky was punching him in the face. Hard enough to draw blood. And he didn’t stop. Punch after punch made Bucky feel like he was releasing ten years worth of pent up aggression and anger. Bucky grabbed the man by the collar and looked right into the eyes of Caden Smith, the same guy who’d been dancing with you at The Underworld earlier in the week.
“Don’t you ever talk about Y/N L/N like that again or I promise you I won’t let you live,” Bucky sneered as he offered a final punch to Caden’s face, rendering him unconscious. A low whistle sounded from the curb as Sam pulled up and rolled the window down.
“What’d he do boss? Say you don’t look good in your tux? That’s a rookie move,” Sam teased until he realized that Bucky was way past a teasing mood, “Let’s move him to the alley, we can’t leave him passed out and bleeding in front of the Plaza. All the rich people’ll be clutching their pearls.”
Bucky helped Sam move Caden to the alley in silence, the car ride back to Bucky’s place was much the same. Even so, Bucky couldn’t help but wonder if he’d fucked up more tonight than he had ten years ago.
One Month Later
A whole month passed since the gala. Bucky had managed to send Steve to Stark Industries whenever there was legitimate business to be done in order to avoid you, but that wasn’t always possible. However, Bucky’d managed to do a good job at avoiding you. But just because Bucky Barnes wasn’t actively interacting with you doesn’t mean that he didn’t have people paying attention to your every move. About a week after the Stark gala Bucky learned that his father had been keeping tabs on you ever since he’d left you. George still hadn’t learned the reasons why Bucky did what he did, but he made sure to tell his son that he had his ways of making sure you were safe. Those ways mostly involved Tony and Pepper. Bucky learned that shortly after you’d made it to California, you’d started working in some capacity with Stark Industries. A part of Bucky felt relieved that for the last ten years you’d been under some sort of surveillance, but another part of him felt bad for making the decisions that led to you being in a near constant state of supervision. Bucky grew a little more content with the fact that Tony was so close to you, seeing that he and Pepper truly cared for you as if you were their own child made Bucky happy that you hadn’t been completely alone for all these years.
The problem now came with the fact that you had been spotted with Liam Stinson a number of times within the last month. Multiple dinners, outings, coffee meet-ups, Bucky was getting information at least twice a week about you and Liam fucking Stinson. Each time he received news that the two of you’d been spotted in public was like a knife to the chest for Bucky, but he didn’t have anyone to blame but himself. And he knew that. Some part of Bucky Barnes, deep down, knew that warning you off Liam Stinson would have the opposite effect and would likely draw you further into his arms. In fact, according to the intel he’d received from various sources, you were attending a party tonight on Liam’s arm hosted by none other than Alexander Pierce himself. The thought of you taking up the role your parents had bestowed upon you all those years ago made Bucky feel like he was two seconds from being physically sick.
It was late when Bucky sat at the table next to his father, Steve, and other members of the Barnes family as they spoke about the threat they’d received most recently Pierce. Apparently Caden had showed up at Pierce’s house with a black eye and a loose tooth complaining about Bucky beating the shit out of him the night after the gala. Why Pierce had waited so long to threaten them was already confusing him.
“James, what did I say about messing with the Pierce family?” George grumbled as he rubbed his head as if to stave off a headache.
“Not to. However, Smith was talking grossly about Y/N. I couldn’t let it slide,” Bucky snapped in reply.
George sighed, understanding his son’s anger, “son, I understand that but we can’t go starting a war with Pierce right now. Because that’s what he’s threatening if you touch any of his guys again.”
“What was his guy doing at Stark’s party anyway?” Steve asked genuinely confused as to why Caden was there in the first place.
“Rich family, Manhattan, blahblahblah, either way, we showed him that Stark is allied with us. If he wants to fuck himself over by helping Pierce start a war then let him. I’ll kill them all without fucking blinking,” Bucky growled, his mind replaying the words that Caden had said before Bucky attacked him.
George opened his mouth to respond but was cut off by a furious knocking at the office door. Before anyone could even reach for a gun the door was being flung open, a harried looking Tony Stark appearing before them. He let his appearance act as a warning before reaching out and pulling you into the middle of the doorway, your cheeks soaked with tears and your body seizing as you tried to take a breath. Bucky could barely catch his own breath at the sight of you sobbing and tucked under Tony’s arm.
All the oxygen left the room when Tony took a deep breath before growling, “Oh boys…we’ve got a fuckin’ problem.”

Intro:
Tumblr media
Cardan was mad at you. Actually, he was furious with everyone. In a way you could understand him, however, the distance between you increased every mortal day and well, you did what you could. Your name is (Y/n), you was the daughter of mortals who were owed a debt by a nobleman, and that sentenced you to spend your time here. For a certain time it was pleasant. Cardan was nice to you (yes, quite a surprise), because you and him had been friends since childhood. It was you who comforted him, you who healed his wounds, you who talked until the moon disappeared. You and him went out together, everything was normal until Locke and Nicassia happened. And you found yourself without a partner. The issue could have stayed there. But it didn't. "What do we have here?" You shot a murderous glance at him. "A traitor with her friends" he turned to see Taryn and Jude.

“Stop pretending like you care”, she screamed, tears streaming down her face,
“I don’t matter to anyone, least of all you.”
He stared at her, taking in the broken look on her face.
She seemed so fragile at the moment, he feared his words would break her.
“When you were not looking, the stars shined for you. When you were sleeping, the moon whispered to me how beautiful and ethereal you looked. When you were laughing, the wind tells me how lucky I was. When you were crying, the sky cried as well and the thunder yelled at me for losing you. So don’t tell me you don’t matter because you’re my everything, sweetheart. You’re my entire universe and I’m sorry I ever let you go.”

Memories
From this prompt by @girlwithherheadinthestars
Warnings: un-edited writing extravaganza, violence, emotional distress, memory loss, betrayal, trauma
It was a moment of happiness, that had taken many years and difficulties to reach. Villain and Hero were standing at the altar of the grand ballroom of the opulent hotel, surrounded by friends and family, and ready to exchange their vows and pledge their love for eternity. The soft glow of candlelight was dancing across the room, casting shadows that seemed to sway to the rhythm of the music. The ceremony began, and the officiant's voice filled the room, speaking words of love and commitment.
It was a perfect night filled with every desire they wanted, but it didn't last long. Just as the officiant was about to pronounce them as partners for life, the doors burst open, and Supervillain stormed into the room with a menacing gleam in their eyes. Their cape billowed behind them as they strode down the aisle, their presence casting a shadow over the joyous occasion.
In the following moments, their lives changed for the worse. Supervillain activated a memory loss ray, unleashing a blinding flash of light that enveloped the entire room. Villain and Hero were struck by the ray, their consciousness fading as memories of their love began to dissolve into nothingness.
When the villain regained consciousness, disoriented and confused Supervillain acted as their love, reassuring them that the gaps in their memory were nothing more than the side-effects of the medicines they had after the little accident.
Meanwhile, the hero was heartbroken to hear the news from their sidekick that the villain had gone missing. They vowed justice and revenge against anyone who stood in their way.
Years later, they met again.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
As Villain finished their latest heist, walking towards the exit with a triumphant grin spreading across their face, they failed to notice the approach of an hero.
"Where do you think you're going?" came the sharp command, cutting through the air like a knife.
Startled, Villain whirled around to face the source of the voice, their heart sinking as they laid eyes on the Hero standing before them, clad in their iconic costume and emanating an aura of determination.
As Villain squared off against the hero before them, a sense of déjà vu washed over them, the presence of the hero surprisingly familiar. The criminal brushed off the feeling, focusing instead on the task at hand.
With a determined glint in their eye, Villain launched themselves into the fray, their movements fluid and precise as they clashed with the hero in a flurry of blows. Despite their best efforts, Hero struggled to keep up, and before long, they found themselves knocked off their feet, tumbling to the ground in a heap.
Seizing the opportunity, Villain closed in on their fallen nesmisistheir heart pounding with adrenaline as they reached out to tear away Hero's mask. But as the fabric fell away, revealing the face beneath, Villain froze, their breath catching in their throat.
"HeroCivilianName?" they whispered, disbelief coloring their voice as they stared into Hero's eyes.
Hero's eyes widened in shock, their heart racing as they struggled to process the revelation. No one alive knew their true identity—no one except...
Before they could finish the thought, Villain removed their own mask, revealing a face that mirrored Hero's astonishment. Tears welled up in Villain's eyes as a flood of memories came rushing back, the weight of years of confusion and heartache lifting from their shoulders.
"I thought you were gone." Hero choked out, their voice thick with emotion as they reached out to embrace Villain, their arms wrapping around them in a tight hug.
Villain returned the embrace, their own emotions running high as they listened to Hero's story of how they had believed Villain to be dead all these years. In turn, they shared their own tale of deceit and betrayal at the hands of Supervillain.
As they stood locked in each other's arms, the weight of their shared past hung heavy in the air. But in that moment, surrounded by the wreckage of their shattered memories, Villain and Hero found solace in each other's embrace, united by a bond that even the cruelest of villains could not break.

Excerpts of the Jetko fic I’m never gonna write
I thought all of these up yesterday during work cause why not. It’d be a Jetko happy end story. Basically they broke up, fought at first, then reluctant aquantances, with Zuko still hanging out with Jet’s friends, and then back to lovers.
Small NSFW,  just a bit in the first part
---
Jet: You're a terrible driver.
Zuko: You didn't say that when I- *realises what he’s about to say*
Jet: *realises what Zuko wanted to say too* When you what? Go on say it. I know what you want to say but i wanna hear it.
 Zuko: *tightlipped not saying anything*
Jet: When you were riding me, that what you wanna say?
----
Jet: *sees Smellerbee taking notes* You're keeping score?
Smellerbee: Don't worry, you're ahead. *Jet smirks* Barely. *Jet frowns*
 ----
Zuko: Don’t you have anything better to do with your mouth?
Jet: I do, but you’re the only one here so, I have to go for less.
------
Zuko: You outed me to my family.
Jet: I apologised for that. Extensively.
------
Pipsqueak: How many files do you have?
Smellerbee: Don't touch. They're in order.
Pipsqueak: What order? It's not by colour. Or alphabetical.
Smellerbee: By use.Bickering. Fights Taboos (AN: couldn’t think of any more)
-----
Pipsqueak: Why is that one so big?
Smellerbee: So I can hit Jet over the head with it and maybe it'll sink in for him
 ----
Smellerbee: You know, if Jet asked for help I could tell him exactly what to do, but he won’t will he?
-------
Jet: Stop stealing my friends. Just because you're a nobody loser with no friends doesn't mean you need to steal mine
Zuko: *punches Jet, because that one hurt*
------
Zuko: I need Jet's Schedule
Smellerbee: Why? Are you stalking him?
Zuko: No I'm avoiding him
 ----
Jet: Give me Zuko’s schedule
Smellerbee: No
Jet: What
Smellerbee: No
Jet: Why not?
Smellerbee: Because he's avoiding you and I'm going to let him
------
*when Jet and Zuko start to make up*
Smellebee: *wide-eyed* I don't have a file for that. *rips book in half, continues writing.*

This fanfiction is born from my dissatisfaction with the way Kai was criminally underutilized in the TVDU. Honestly, I found him annoying at first, but he grew on me as season 6 went on. Thru Chris Wood's charming performance, Kai stole the show for me. I'll never forgive the showrunners for a lot of things, including underutilizing Chris Wood in this role & not allowing this broken king to have a real redemption arc.
On the topic of the showrunners, I'll never forgive them for how they did Bonnie Bennett or the Bennetts in general with how they were limited to magical plot devices for everyone else's use without any appreciative focus on their power & how it could really benefit them. Even though I love Bonnie & Kai, my otp endgame for her has always been Bonenzo, but I also adore Klonnie ❤️.
My AU changed and added plenty of lore around his coven & certain events. The plot follows the life of Bonnie's younger sister, Rosalina "Rose" Bennett-Ruiz. I go on to describe her below, but I'd like to state that she acts as Kai's antithesis as an innocent, fledgling witch. She's also Bonnie's support system. I always hated how the show often ignored that Bonnie lacked family around her that were unconditionally there for her. Bonnie's mom left when she was small, she lost her grams in season 1, and her father was a non-factor in her life until he returned... just to get killed off in front of her.
I wrote Rose & Bonnie's dynamic keeping in mind everything I hate about older sibling/younger sibling dynamics, like the one between Buffy and Dawn in BTVS. Bonnie deserves family that consistently supports her, encourages her to prioritize her well-being, and actually tries to lessen the existing load on her shoulders.
Another thing I kept in mind when adding Rose to my TVD AU is not to have her replace or take away Bonnie’s space in the plot. Now, I do give her Bonnie's plotline of being sent to the prison world in season 6, but this is essential to the story, and the way Bonnie was treated that season made me so sad that I have no problem taking traumatic experiences from her (of which she has more than enough) and giving them to Rose.
Okay... if you made it through my rant, congrats. I also want to offer my inbox as a place where anyone can offer up requests, scenarios, ask questions, even if you want to roast my cruddy writing... my inbox is open.

🌹Rosalina "Rose" Bennett-Ruiz:🌹
Born: March 18th, 1994 (18yrs)
Gender: Female | Height: 5’1” | Hair color: Brown | Eye color: Hazel
Race/ethnicity: Black and Latino/Hispanic
Species: witch (Bennett)
Titles: Rosy (Kai), littlest witch (by Kol), kid (by Damon)
Characteristics:
Rose is a gentle and kind-hearted person, always looking for the good in people and situations. She can be a people pleaser and is naive and overly trusting, often seeing the best in everyone and believing in second chances.
She highly values family, so bonding with Bonnie means a lot her. Due to her naivety and weakness, she can be easily manipulated and taken advantage of. Like Bonnie she’s compassionate and tends to selflessly help others. Struggles with powerful spells because of her insecurity in her magical abilities
She enjoys singing, gardening (honing her nature-based magic, making potions & studying herbology), sewing and cooking (she bakes when she’s anxious)
She has a strong aversion to blood & violence so spending time with vampires took a lot of getting used to
Trilingual: fluent in Spanish & Portuguese
Despite her demure demeanor and virginal innocence, with her stuffed animal collection, enduring love of cartoons and a lack of dating, she harbors the secret desire to submit herself to a powerful dominant
Background:
Family: Bonnie Bennett (half-sister), Jamie Ruiz (half-brother), Abby Bennett-Ruiz (mother), Matteo Ruiz (father 🕊️), Sheila Bennett (maternal gm🕊️)
Rose was raised in Summersville, North Carolina. She was a child model until 13 when her father tragically died. She was the captain of her high school majorette dance team. Her life drastically changed when Bonnie arrived on her doorstep.
Rose was 16 when she & Bonnie would finally meet. Bonnie and Elena came to Abby for help with a spell. Rose was shocked to find that she had an older sister as Abby never mentioned Bonnie or the life she left behind in Mystic Falls. She was even more surprised upon finding out about her magical bloodline and that supernatural creatures walked the earth. Unlike Grams, Abby never mentioned magic throughout Rose’s life and even went as far to suppress her magic with a charmed necklace
After Abby is turned by Damon, she decides to leave her family to learn control and find peace as a fledgling vampire. Rose moves to Mystic Falls with Bonnie where she learns magic from her.
Magic doesn’t come naturally to her. Admittedly having a 50% accuracy rate with her spells. She struggles with her confidence & focus when chanting and spells drain her much quicker even when she tries channeling the energy around her. Despite this, Rose is determined to improve, valuing her one-on-one time with Bonnie and spending late nights on her own practicing & memorizing spells. She is determined to use her magic for good, prove herself and lessen the load on Bonnie as the resident Bennett witch of the group.
Her role in the Mystic Falls gang is the “Bennett witch in training” or “the bringer of baked goods” (according to Damon), since she often supplies their gatherings with fresh pastries. Everyone underestimates her power, even Bonnie. She tries to keep Rose out of danger unless she can’t help it.

🔪Malachai "Kai" Parker:🔪
Born: May 9, 1972 (22yrs)
Gender: Male | Height: 6'0" | Hair color: Dark Brown | Eye color: Blue-gray
Race/ethnicity: white/non-Hispanic
Species: siphoner (Gemini Witch coven)
Titles: abomination, black sheep, the defective twin (his coven)
Characteristics:
Charismatic with a charming smile. Upon meeting him, his charisma operates as a façade to hide his lack of empathy and his sadistic tendencies
Can be hard to read but that’s because he struggles with expressing his emotions which stems from his abusive childhood. He’s cold and relatively unfeeling with people, but once he lets someone in, he’s fiercely loyal and protective.
He can be observant, calculating and manipulative to taking advantage of someone and get what he wants
He’s a sassy man, often comes back with quick quips and has a natural sense of humor (typically dark humor)
When he’s comfortable, always yapping, has no filter and sucks with certain social cues. After being alone for nearly his whole life, will talk anyone's ear off without realizing they are not willing to listen
Kai can siphon all of a witch’s magic without killing them. He controls how the process feels - at its worst, a fast searing burn to a slight tingle. Overtime, a witch will regenerate their magic
High libido!!- He’s starved for touch and affection (though he would never admit that he needs anyone). Sexual desires reflect his sadistic personality as he enjoys dominating another person through absolute control and pain infliction
He likes raunchy comedies and media with half-naked women such as Bay Watch and MTV videos. A major foodie with constant cravings for sweet and salty snacks. He prefers snacking throughout the day but when he does bother to cook, it’s really good
He is fluent in old Latin, often found in grimoires and other ancient texts. Time allowed him to hone his knowledge of witchcraft and technique
Background:
The Parker family is the head of the Gemini coven. Its patriarch, Joshua Parker is the coven leader. Kai is the eldest child, being half an hour older than his fraternal twin, Josette. Unlike Jo, Kai was born without the ability to generate his own magic, instead siphoning magic from lingering spells, objects, or other witches. When he was young, he would naturally gravitate toward the magic of his sister, so Joshua quickly decided to physically isolate Kai from everyone for fear of his son's "defect" hurting others.
As fraternal twins born of the coven leader, Jo and Kai would be set to merge on their 22nd birthday, where the winner takes the other's magic and coven leadership and the loser dies and is absorbed into the other but with the risk of Kai's siphoning ability giving him an edge in the merge, Joshua and Viviane continued having kids until she birthed another set of twins that would merge instead.
Kai's upbringing was lonely, spending most of his time locked in his bedroom up in the attic. Following his father's lead, most of his family excluded and demonized him. As he grew, Kai learned to internalize the cruel labels they gave him. If they wanted a monster, they would get a monster and on his 22nd birthday, May 9th, 1994, he would finally act on his boiling rage and resentment toward his family, unleashing the hatred he accumulated through a lifetime of torment onto his siblings when Jo refused the merge. To protect the twins, she would relent to merge with him but the coven was waiting and with the help of Sheila Bennett they banished him to a prison world of complete isolation.
Each year that passed only added to his hunger for revenge, left with nothing to do but plan his escape and seizer of coven leadership. He grew to take pride in what he had done to his siblings and his status as a sociopath capable of killing anyone who gets in his way without remorse.
AU-Specific Lore:
Tumblr media
Prison world Lore:
The prison world resets with the eclipse every 3 months.
Time works differently, so no one ages throughout their time there.
The prison world cannot create life so the only living inhabitants are those sent there or arrive via ascendant.
Kai is linked to the prison world so he can’t die. If something kills him, he’ll be out for a while depending on the damage but the magic will heal him back to life. Without Kai, the prison world falls apart so while he’s there, it sustains his life to sustain itself. Once he leaves, it ceases to exist.
The Ascendant - an ancient device created by the Gemini coven and a Bennett ancestor that only responds to a living Bennett’s blood and magic. The ascendant is sensitive to magic in general, so even when the spell is done right, it will activate then fall apart. You only have one chance at the time of the eclipse to correctly do the spell, which Kai knows from experience because early on he tried collecting a vial of Bennett blood that he hunted down in a hospital and using Josette's magic he siphoned from a hidden dagger. Disappointment boiled over into rage when he did the spell beneath the eclipse, the ascendant disassembled, but he was not transported out.
The Gemini Coven Lair:
Exists as a non-physical location where the coven keeps ancient texts, grimoires, enchanted items (talismans, gems, ascendants, etc.), and materials for spells & potions
Infinite space that can be utilized by the coven leader: often includes a space for magic instruction, a library, spell casting, a gathering area for the coven, etc.
Accessed only by portal, which is summoned by a spell entrusted to high-ranking Gemini members
