Hello! I saw your post, and I've been meaning to rec some DC x Marvel fics anyways, so I'll do that here. I don't know what you've read, so I'll start with

Peter Parker / DC Series:

The Dark Matter Multiverse Series by @mysterycyclone

Dark Matter is the blueprint for most Peter Parker / DC fics, and it's also fucking fantastic. If you're reading a crossover and don't understand why, without explanation, Peter is talking to ghosts? Why he by default ends up living in a firehouse? Read Dark Matter.

Spider and Bat Friends Series by @emmacortana

So far, 12 well written and hilarious works from my all-time favorite author, Miss emmacortana. This, coming from someone with over 1,500 bookmarks. She's that good.

Bitsy and The Bats Series Series by @wibbwoby

Haven't read this one in a while, so I don't have much to say, but Rated T for Traumatized is an absolute classic.

Pizzaverse Series by Irisen

A heavier read, wherein Peter tries to keep his job, make rent, and has a lot of unfortunate run-ins with Gotham's rogues.

Peter & The BatBoys (Doctor AU) Series by @thepoppypress

Peter is the Wayne family's doctor. He has a... chaotic time. I've only read Part 1, but I am still including this here because it's a series.

Khonshu whisks (Comic) Moon Knight away to DC. Very well written and passionate. If it's not your thing, don't let the Bruce Wayne/Marc Spector tag dissuade you from reading; since it's unfinished, the ship hasn't happened yet, and it's too good of a fic to miss out on.

So I found you through your batfam/Spiderman fic and I was wondering if you could make a rec list?

Hey there! Thank you for checking out my blog and for reading my fic! I love seeing that you've commented on a chapter in my inbox.

As far as a rec list goes, I've never actually written one before. But I assume you want ones that are specifically spider-man/batman crossovers?

It's a whole new way of looking at [daddy issues] by spaghettiash: This a series of two little one-shots that I absolutely loved. It's another Peter gets transported to the DC universe with Dick Grayson looking exactly like Richard Parker. Love this one.

Help Me, I Don't Feel Like Myself Anymore by Astra_Nova_Kat: This fic was amazing, this was my bookmark comment exactly "I need this, I need this like I need oxygen, like I need love. This is so well written, I could cry. I need it injected into my veins and tattooed on the inside of my eyelids, omg." Again, much like the one above, Peter is transported into the DCU and stumbles across alternate versions of Richard Parker and Ben Parker. I loved it.

Aunt May and the Justice League by Anonymous: This fic is great, if you love the idea of Aunt May being kick ass and -fade to black- sleeping her way through the Justice League in a super classy way, and being such a supportive mum to her dear nephew Peter in the DCU. Very much open relationships, though the main plot doesn't really start to kick in until a few chapters in.

Green, through and through by another_fucking_robin: I love this one, particularly because it's trans Peter Parker. There just aren't enough of them, and when it's well written, it plucks at my heart strings. Plus, the Lazarus Pit is an ally, and I love that for them. This fic just starts off so good, I was in love with it from chapter one.

rot with all the burnouts in the cell by magnuschases: This fic is really entertaining. Like, Dick Grayson, you are the father! And Peter's responses were just great. Awkward grandpa!Bruce will always have my heart.

Singing In My Blood by LialeeEderian: This one is cute. Peter literally falls into Dick Grayson's life. Dick Grayson is clearly his alternate universe dad, and everyone can see it.

a shining spider web by Selador: an alternate spin off of Dark Matter by mysterycyclone. In this fic, the nice guy on the subway that gives him sunglasses during his migraine, clearly Jason Todd, takes him home and adopts him. Very cute and sweet.

Homesick by NotSoSweetHeh: I adore this fic. Peter convinces the Batfam that he's actually an alien, rather than a dimension traveller. Seems easier to him, that way. And it is very easy for him to pull off.

Harry Potter and the Great Custody Battle by dajgen: Okay, say what you will about JKR, she's TERF piece of shit and I hate her. However, I do not hate Dajgen and their work (that would make me a hypocrite, considering my work Wildflowers in the Spring, with is also a HP/DC crossover). Controversial to add a HP related fic, but I feel like I should add it anyway, because I genuinely enjoyed it. It's basically a fic where Harry is related to both Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne. Harry needs them to get out of the Triwizard Tournament. So, a threeway crossover. I won't give anymore spoilers, should you choose to read it.

I hope you liked my picks, I've never actually made one of these before, so I hope I did it right 😅 feel free to hit me up if you want to share your thoughts about my recommendations. I tried to pick fics that were in a similar vein to mine, since I wasn't sure exactly what you were looking for. Thank you for this ask, it was really fun putting this list together! Do you have recs for people to follow for comictok? Preferably ones that focus on the batfamily, Spider-people, or Daredevil

for sure!!! I decided not to include people who are mainly editors/cosplayers, but if you did want that let me know and I'll compile another list

anyway these are most of my favorite comictokers whether or not they're specifically about these subjects, feel free to check them out either way and see how you feel

so firstly and obviously if you're not following thepandaredd and nikhilclayton are you even on comictok? I'm honestly always pleasantly surprised by how UN-dudebro-y they are and thepandaredd is like a solid 40% of how I got into batfam in the first place. nikhilclayton does batfam and spiderman but I mostly associate him with x-men

then we've got myself, obviously! my username on tiktok is gailpirl and any character I talk about here gets talked about there. right now my smallville obsession is literally everywhere but obviously peter parker, spider gwen, deadpool, batfam, etc, plus whatever comic I just read all get some content made on them

then we have @stackthedeck my dear beloved mutual, who has the same username on tiktok, and whose content is mostly spider-people with a decent amount of daredevil and the occasional foray into other characters

for dc I recommend literallyloislane, theactorbat, nightwingser, kennenbabbles (another mutual!), mia.likes.bats (yet another mutual!!), sandmanlibrary, and for the flash specifically, theflashmuseum, their content is fucking great I don't care about flashfam until their videos show up on my fyp and then I suddenly don't care about anything else

ayaanshahlikesyou makes content on both marvel and dc; I mosty see his young justice content on my fyp but he likes blue beetle and kamala khan as well

speaking of kamala khan, h3yd4v3 talks about a lot of marvel content but mainly focuses on ms marvel; also notfranklinsherald is f4 focused but occasionally talks about northstar and aquaman too

also @emptyjunior has a lot of really fun skits for batfam, team red/spiderman, xmen, and captain america, among others

anyway yeah these are my favorites that aren't specifically only edits or cosplay enjoy!!!

If you were given editorial control of DC at least for your ideal route regarding Dick Grayson (mostly single albeit raising not just his daughter Mar’i aka Nightstar via coparenting with Kory and also being Chris Kent’s Godfather; at least that’s my impression of it so my apologies if I completely have this all wrong), what exact type of adventures and capers can we expect out of this Nightwing book? I.E. would It’s tone be something akin to the current Taylor run only with Dick being a tad bit more competent in his personal life and crime fighting? His job? Romantic matters? Etc.

Personally I like to think of Nightwing as kind of the king of "I got it! I got it! I don't got it!!"

on the inside, behind closed doors he's got the Peter B. Parker energy even while he tries to project normal Peter Parker.

I think in costume Nightwing has got this, he knows what to do, how to do it, how to lead a team, how to fly solo etc.

it's out of mask and tights where Dick Grayson struggles. He was raised by an emotionally stuffed up man in a cape and an English butler. He's totally drink's milk from the bottle has pizza at least 3 nights a week and is iffy on cleaning.

idk if any one remembers the old 1990s Nightwing comic, but in it there's a character, Nite-wing (named for a 24 hour fried chicken place) who starts off as Dick's sidekick but turns out he likes killing bad guys and becomes a villain.

I've always wanted to revisit Tad. I like the idea of a Jason Todd like origin, where you got a dirty scrappy street kid with maybe a side order of Tim Drake in that he follows Dick home, and won't take no for an answer. So Dick is like "uhhhh I guess I have a sidekick? you can sleep on the couch" I like the idea of Dick trying to deal with a teenager who has some bad street kid habits, is dirty, doesn't listen, mouthy etc, and also having to figure out what to share or not about Nightwing and the Batfam.

For sure I also like the idea of Dick being a Titan, the leader of a Titan team based on the New Teen Titans, but now they're all 28-32 and dealing with adulthood, parenthood, marriage, etc plus 2-3 heroes who are like 17-22 and need guidance etc.

I'd very much also like to deal with Dick teaming up with Tim and Damian at different times, I like the idea of when they're fighting with Bruce they crash with Dick.

his relationship/team up with Oracle is another good one.

I'd like to see him in Metropolis doing superhero training camp with Chris, but you know it always goes wrong and they end up having to really save the day not just train to save the day.

12: Favourite character to write about this year

Stephanie Brown, easy. She's my spirit animal, so I might be doing a touch of projecting, but I honestly don't care. She's just pure chaos in the best way. Some of my favourite lines that I've written are for her. Such as:

"What's up bitches? I brought donuts!"

"My waffles await!"

"FEAR ME!"

"Welcome to Steph’s Glitter Bomb Palace, Where Snitches get Stitches™! So don’t tell Bruce or I’ll sic Jason on you."

She's also the character I've gotten the most comments on. People really seen to enjoy how I write her!

A close second would be Duke Thomas. Bliss, a fic I wrote for the 2020 Duke Week, was one of my favourites! Or maybe Damian? His dialogue just comes easy to me.

I have wanted to read a DCU/MCU crossover for a VERY long time. This story is such a delight. Your characterisation (and for me an introduction to The Signal) was fascinating in the extreme. I loved the game playing and the fact that I could watch (open-mouthed) as Bruce Wayne enjoyed childlike fun with his children and Alfred(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) was the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake. I look forward to your updates in a way that you wouldn't believe.

On Batfam/Avengers Crossover

19: Any new fics to start next year

Oh boy. So many. You know what? Here's a list. It'll be good to get these ideas out. Plus, you guys can tell me what you'd rather see first!

Gen/just Batfam

Crack fic based off this piece of dialogue (came from a convo between my sister and I): Tim reached forward and poked Duke's face. "You're right!" He exclaimed. "You really *do* squish like a block of wood!" Duke Centric.

Based on THIS Incorrect Quotes. Talia moves into the Manor because she's sick of Ra's. Featuring a bunch of good mom!Talia.

Based off THIS Incorrect Quotes. Jason runs for President as Red Hood. I have so many ideas! This'll be really fun.

Loosely based on THIS post. It explores Jason and Cassandra's relationship, and how it evolves.

Duke Thomas Big Bang Fic (can't say much, but it'll be great!)

Platonic (need to be certain you understand that. There were some misconceptions w/ my Discord server) Slow Burn between Tim and Damian. At the beginning the absolutely despise each other. But over time they realise their own insecurities, and how they don't actually hate the other. And by the end they fully admit and embrace their being brothers.

Reverse Robins with Damian as the oldest (I made THIS post talking about it a while back. But I've highly revised it.)

Reverse Robins with Duke as the oldest (I wrote THIS fic, but I think I want to change this into a series!)

Cassandra as Batman. Stephanie as Catwoman. Carrie Kelley as Robin.

5 Times Bette Kane was the mastermind behind the batkids' pranks without Bruce's knowledge, and 1 Time her brilliance was brought to light.

5 Times Duke thought that he couldn't possibly get any more siblings and 1 Time he met the cousins (AKA: Duke meets the extended family)

Birdflash

Birdflash in the JL/JLU universe (based off that one hexagon by @novaviis ! Super fun!). The league is inviting potential members to the Watchtower one day. Except Wally wasn't there during the choosing of said members. So he's completely shocked when his husband Nightwing shows up. They have to act like they don't know each other, which basically involves Dick flirting his butt off with Wally, Wally trying desperately to remain professional, Bruce digging in the corner, the rest of the League in varying degrees of disapproval and confusion (at least a couple have seen Wally's wedding ring. So that adds a while 'nother layer).

Young Justice soulmate au. Dick, and eventually everyone else, knows that Wally is his soulmate. Wally is oblivious. Lots of pining and angst in this one. Slow burn to an extent (depends on how long I make it). But definitely a happy fluffy ending in sight!

Batfam Meets Young Justice

THIS fic.

Duke gets yeeted into the YJ universe, and promptly passes out. He wakes up in the Watchtower, and breaks out of the confinement the Team has set up for him. Pulls shenanigans (some unwittingly) and used his powers. The Team and JL are confused, and panicking. Because this guy keeps muttering things about the Batfam. And he has a bat on his chest.

The Team break into some ancient temple after getting info on a new Supervillian plot. They find purple clothed woman draped across a throne. She talks, and they panic, as she knows all their secret identities. The only one who isn't, is Tim. He looks bored. Alternatively: Steph needs Tim's credit card to take his sister out on a date, and absolutely refuses to text.

While the Team is on a mission to stop Lady Shiva, a dimensional portal opens up and spits out a strange Robin (Damian) and what seemed to be a female Batman (Cass as Black Bat). This new dynamic due promptly defeats Lady Shiva and all the goons. The Team is freaked out, and 'apprehends' the dimensional anomalies, bringing them back to the Watchtower. Where the due promptly break and and start chaos. Featuring "Toxic" by Britney Spears. I will not explain why.

The Watchtower gets a sudden emergency message from the Batcave. They accept, to find a stranger calling himself Signal panicking about Robin being missing. They all look at Tim, who ignores them, and says that he doesn't know where Robin is. Some naming shenanigans occur.

(Not sure if this fits here, oh well) Set in Season One, Bruce is tired of Clark's attitude towards Superboy, and adopts the clone himself. Not sure how far this'll go, but at least goes through Dick's time as Robin. (Based on THIS Tumblr post)

(Also iffy on placement) a continuation of one (not sure which? Probably Damian as older) Reverse Robins fics. It's a retelling of Season One of YJ, with Dick as Robin. Nightwing (Damian) feels protective of his brother, and so takes on the role Black Canary had in the show, training the Team. But as time goes on, he ends up being more of a big brother to the group. Cameos from the rest of the Batfam as well! And an Identity Reveal (including finding out Dick and Dami are brothers) at the end!

Batfam Meets the Justice League

Cass takes over being Batman for a bit, because Bruce was an idiot and broke his leg. This happens to line up with when the Justice League reach out to the Dark Knight, in order to extend an invitation to the league. They eventually meet Bruce as Batman, and are confused as to why he is so tall. And male.

Joyfire

Operation: Seduce Nightwing. Based on a post for an ATLA ot3, Wally and Artemis realise silumaneously “Hey, we kinda have the hots for Dick” and decide together to see if he likes them back. Which involves a heck ton of over the top flirting, and shenanigans. The Team is sighing on the sidelines at their idiocy. Dick is internally combusting and thinking “Do they like me back? I’’m not sure.”

5 times Dick and Wally fought over being the middle spoon, and one time Artemis had had enough.

Set in Season 3 (but ignores some canon), Bart is kidnapped by some mad scientist obsessed with the Speed Force. The Team mobilizes, and gets Bart back from the evil base. But when they get there, they find Wally West freed from the Speed Force. He and Artemis reunite, and everyone is happy. They prepare to leave. Then the Pick-up Squad arrive in the bioship, and Dick gets out. Everyone is expecting Dick to give Wally a hug, because hey, he's his best friend! What they weren't expecting was him to run forward and pull the speedster into a passionate kiss. They go back to the Watchtower, and some more stuff happens.

Soulmate AU where the first thing your soulmate says to you after they fall in love with you is tattooed on your body.

Post Season Two Get Together. Starts with Artemis living with Dick as opposed to Will. Might be Slow Burn? (They come pretty close to kissing) Eventually Wally comes back. Arty and Wally are back together. They both live in the same house as Dick, for convenience. Then some more Slow Burn happens. Maybe some Birdflash moments. Arty tells Wally she kinda had a thing for Dick. Wally admits the same. Maybe a touch more Slow Burn. They Eventually get together.

Batlantern

AU where Bruce met Hal back when he first came back to Gotham. Fic goes through how their relationship evolves over the years (up until current time, when Damian is 13). I'm considering a relationship reveal with the Justice League.

Hal's interactions with Bruce's kids.

Green Lantern Corp acting protective of Hal when Bruce comes to Oa. This was an ask that I got, and I'm holding off on writing it till I get as much into on the GL's as possible, as all I know if their characterization comes from that animated series, and Guy Gardener's (Hilarious!) parts on Young Justice.

Marvel

Like 3 different versions of the Peter Parker Field Trip to Stark Tower Trope.

2-part Crossover with the Batfam (they exist in the same universe), where the Avengers go to a Wayne Gala, and interact with the family. The second chapter involves them heading out the next night to try and contact Batman.

Tim Drake goes to University?!?

Would anyone read a story, hypothetically if I wrote it, where Tim quits being Red Robin and the Batfam, only Alfred and Cass would know though, and the Titans, and just go to University.

Like he gets his High School Diploma online by just taking classes online and so forth, also he was tired of everyone’s teasing and decided to go back to High School and graduated with top honors.

But he goes to ESU, and there he would meet like Peter Parker, Johnny Storm, Bobby Drake (Ironic) and a bunch of other characters.

So basically Tim would be-friend like a shit ton of Marvel characters but they are all actually civilians which is why there isn’t Spider-Man or the X-Men flying around.

He would do things that he always wanted to but wasn’t allowed to, like get a dog or two (I have an idea on what breed and the names), get an earing, a tattoo on his back of a Robin or a Robin’s feather, have a truly healthy relationship with a girl where no-one manipulates one another and have no secrets between one another (May have hit a sore spot there). Dye his hair? Don’t know about that one though.

I also think Tim being like pseudo adopted by Tony Stark would be funny, as Tony would do it to piss off Bruce but also because this kid is just fun to hang around.

Then like there will be eventual conflict where the Bats (Except Cass and Alfred) go ‘oh darn Timmy quit’ but they would find out because he was all over the news that he attended with a mystery girl (and because of a list I saw, and being a fan of Ultimate Spider-Man, it would probably be Kitty Pryde or someone like that) and they’ll be like ‘hey when did he leave?’ and Alfred will roll up the sleeves and make them all feel worthless, and Cass would shake her head in disappointment.

And potentially maybe like later on part of a Student Exchange Program some students from France come to America and Tim meets Marinette Dupain-Cheng and obviously the two friend groups hit it off, and end up getting closets custom made by MDC in exchange that they model the clothes for her website. (To which Johnny would squeal in delight)

I don’t know I have like a massive story in head that would probably be hard to write, but hey kind of depends if people would like to read that I guess.

Plus, Cass would eventually quit and go live with Tim because she wanted to be more than she was and thought Tim knew how to do that properly as he did it successfully.

Sorting My Favorite Fictional Characters into Hogwarts Houses (Or, I play sorting hat)

BNHA

Bakugo: Slytherin. I mean, have you seen this guy? He screams Ambition and Arrogance, and cunning, remember first combat training?

Yayurozu: Ravenclaw. Best girl is smart af and she values herself for it. Enough said.

Jiro: Slytherin. Sometimes rude, but she’s confident, and she isn’t afraid to use ‘dirty tricks’ to finish her mission.

Kirishima: Gryffindor, through and through. He wants to be brave and he hides his anxiety behind showmanship, which is the most Gryffindor thing ever.

Hawks (I love him, leave me aloneeeee): Hufflepuff. You guys might say Slytherin, but everything he did was out of loyalty, from saving those people from the bus crash to infiltrating the League of Villains for the government. And, he’s just so likeable. You’d never think twice about him, they way you never think twice about how a cute badger has big-ass claws.

DC/Batfam

Jason Todd: Slytherin. This man radiates goal driven energy, and he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty for his revenge. Plus, green eyes.

Damian Wayne: Also Slytherin. He’s proud, almost arrogant, but also cunning and ambitious to be like his father.

Harley Quinn: Hufflepuff. She’s loyal to the end and tends to find it difficult to say no, which are very Hufflepuff traits.

Raven: Ravenclaw. Need I explain?

Bruce Wayne: Slytherin, again. Does this run in the family? The guy is ambitious, clever, and yes, manipulative at times.

Catrina Kyle: Gryffindor. She’s proud of who she is and she’s extremely competitive, along with brave, and she hates lying.

Marvel

Natasha Romanoff: Ravenclaw. This one was hard, but she values information over ambition, I think, and she��s incredibly hardworking, as many Ravenclaw’s are.

Steve Rogers: Slytherin. Dude lied on federal papers to achieve his goal to getting into the army, you really think he’s gonna be a Gryffindor or something? smh.

Bucky Barnes: Hufflepuff. Loyal, hardworking, and a great finder. Yeet.

Peter Parker: Gryffindor. Poor baby just wants to be a hero, and will sacrifice anything to save those he cares about.

X-23/ Laura Kinney: Slytherin. She practically emotionally manipulates Logan all the way into Canada. If that doesn’t scream Slytherin, I don’t know what does.

Wendy: Hufflepuff. Loyal, caring, and true, I think this puts her solidly in this house.

Erza: Gryffindor. She would sacrifice anything for her guildmates, and she fights on no matter what.
