Also Babs is straight up not one of the best fighters on the planet she’s not even one of the best fighters in the batfam like 💀 embarrassing I’m sorry I’m a Babs stan but this is out of a bad fanfic. She’s an ok fighter but she’s an unparalleled hacker and tactician ect ect like she’s a good gymnast and stuff but honestly she wasn’t at her best as batgirl and that’s ok. Cass & Helena (and maybe Steph) are better fighters than her.
Literally all of the bat boys save for Duke are consistently better fighters than her. It’s ok. She’s not the best fighter. It’s ok.
If you want her to be the best at something let her be Oracle again 🙄!!!!

Not only is B*rbara G*rdon frequently held up as an “acceptable” alternative to love interests of color, that was literally the entire point of her character’s inception. Seriously, look it up. The 60s Batman series invented B*tgirl to be a potential love interest for Bruce after they hired a Black actress to play Catwoman. I’m not saying it’s bad to like B*rbara, it’s literally fine, but understand that the way she’s used by the Bat narrative is off-putting to some people and that’s entirely valid. Also, if they make a B*tgirl and Nightwing movie I’m not watching it. Especially after they cancelled Titans and especially if they hire a white girl to play her after cancelling Leslie’s B*tgirl movie. Sometimes too much is just too much.

I decided to be nice and put it behind a read more. So if you want to scroll past, go ahead.
Barbara is creepier than Bruce.
She breaks more rules than any other person in the family and gets away with it.
She bitches to the family members about crap they shouldn't do and yet she does it.
She literally used Cass as a babysitter and threatened her dad with her.
She threatened her dad, the Commissioner, with Cass! Her dad!
She threatened the fucking Commissioner of police and probably, knowing her, got away with it.
She gets away with everything and should not. Nothing ever happens to her.
Well except when she was assaulted so something did but nothing else, that I know of.
She is not as great as you all think.

She was great as Oracle but needs to learn to let people live their lives without interfering.

Dick deserves better than her.
She deserves to go to jail for some of the things she does/did as Oracle. (Yes, the rest do also before you all get on my ass. Not as long though. Bruce probably deserves just as long as she does but that's it.)
She's becoming a Mary Sue and it's bad.
I love Babs but I hate her now also.
Give me her as Oracle, one who knows how to actually pull back from taking over everything. Give me her by herself. No man and I'll love her again.
She is getting on my nerves and I would love if DC recons her back to her old self. BUT without the relationship.

It's funny because Jason is usually the one holding the idiot ball or being wrote as the token jerk in the Bat-books, so a Bat can flex by punching him. Pretty much the sole reason DC is using him.
If Babs can be a self-righteous mean girl who punches Jason left and right while all he does in return is simp over her, like in N52 or 3Jokers, then why not let Jason not be a complete strawman/punching bag for her or any bats in ONE SINGLE story where he is the main bat character?
Like Batman, that girl is already too much of a karma houdini anyway. Mean/bossy character should get hit for their bullshit occasionally to balance things out. But the reality is that the people who want their bossy mean girl/teen don't want them to get hit for talking shit, especially by an adult male character. So, the least they can do is take the chill pile once in a blue moon because they're often not justified in their attitude.
Babs can fall for some emotional manipulation for 2 hot sec, like in TFZ. She's going to be okay. It's only fair and I guarantee it doesn't make her less of a mean girlboss.

Barbara Gordon has never been that girl. She is an entitled brat who gets pissy when things don’t go her way. She consistently ridicules and breaks Dicks boundaries even blaming him for being SA’d and planting cameras in his apt to see him backed and showed it to other people none of it with his consent. At this point them even remaining friends without extreme therapy seems unlikely
Yikes! I didn't know she did all that. That makes her even worse.
I never liked the character because of how unfairly and petty she treated Helena (and other characters who didn't bow down to everything she wanted). She kinda reminds me of one of those "nice guys" who complain that no one likes them, but then they treat everyone like crap. That's basically the impression I've gotten from her from the comics and scans I've seen of her.

There are some dickbabs shippers who are mad and upset that there are a lot of people who don't like dickbabs especially most of the black community who love dickkory, i think it's okay if they prefer kory over the glorified white woman, not everyone is obsessed with white couples.
I’m white myself so I won’t stay too long on this topic solely because I am not in the community and don’t experience DickKory the same way someone’s who’s black would, but I will say that many toxic Barbara fans will hate on Kory for racist reasons (Koriand’r is a black woman) and then praise Babs for literally just existing
Another thing on top of the obvious and or sometimes subtle racist things is when they call Kory a whore and a slut. Koriand’r is a very progressive character for the time she was made in and that’s something Barbara’s character will NEVER have. Many people view themselves in Kory because of her comfortability in her sexuality and her underlying writing of her being black.
No this does mean someone can’t idolize Babs for being disabled, it’s just heavy hate on Kory for who she is when Babs realistically did not have that much impact on the real world with her progressive writing

Do you think Oracle could get sued for violating privacy?
Like, let's say someone she knows gets hurt and they want no one there except whoever is fixing them up, no video or etc. But Oracle ignores the request/order and starts watching.
Can she get in trouble? Not just by Batman, Alfred, the Titans, Justice League, etc but by the police? Or is that to far fetched?
Does that actually happen? I know she violated Dick's privacy, which I'm surprised the writers and DC didn't seem to do anything about it, but has she violated others privacy?
Bruce has I know (I think) but most of his is his kids, I think, or whoever he's after, and Arkham I believe also, maybe also Blackgate.
Really though, do people acknowledge that Babs can and does violate privacy of people? Probably even more than Bruce.

What Batman thinks of Starfire.
Okay so I've seen many people curious about what Batman thinks of Starfire. I've seen a lot of people say Batman hates her and that he doesn't trust her cuz she's an alien and cuz he's a dickbabs shipper. I will explain why those statement aren't true. That's not who the original Batman is.
Let's go back to the original canon before all the stupid ooc retcons were created.
The first time Batman ever mentioned Starfire's name was in Tales of The Teen Titans #50 (1985) where Dick and Kory have already been dating for years.
and behold
- Bruce never referred to Kory as "the alien" he called her by her real name.
- He knows his son is in a real serious relationship with her.
- Bruce never made any bad comments about her nor did he show contempt for their relationship.
- He acted like a kind father who just wants to know how his son is doing with the woman he loves.
The 2nd time he mentioned her is in Swamp Thing #53 (1986) where he defended Human/Alien relationships like Dick and Kory's.
again he called her by her actual name and showed no issue towards Dick and Kory's relationship.
The 3rd time was in Funeral For a Friend (1993) where Bruce greeted her and Dick. He was happy to see both of them attending Superman's funeral. And for the 3rd time he called her by her actual name.
The Original Batman was a kind father who respected his son's alien girlfriend. Who wasn't spiteful and xenophobic towards Starfire and doesn't compare her to Barbara. and no, he wasn't a pro-dickbabs shipper. That ship didn't even exist before they retconned a lot of shit.
That everything changed after Dick and Kory got broken up. Reason for their break up? The Bat-editorial demanded they wanted Dick Grayson back to the Bat-office. The Titans Editorial had no choice but to pull him out of the Titans books and hand him back to the Bateditorial.
The Bat-editorial didn't like the idea of Dick dating someone outside the Batfamily like Kory so they couldn't continue their relationship in the Bat-books. It needed to end. The original wedding plan for Dick and Kory got cancelled. They don't like Dick and Kory? Okay fine, no one is forcing them to like them, whatever.
but no they couldn't just move on and leave Dick and Kory's past relationship alone.
They just had to say something negative about their relationship and put down their shared history, didn't they.
Why?
Is that really necessary?
Why can't they just respect the love that Dick and Kory had for each other when they were together and leave it at that ?
Cuz they did love and care for each other. It was a genuine love.
You can ship him with another woman without undermining and invalidating his history with Kory.
Like what did Kory ever do to them to make them hate her so much.
After they deaged Barbara to be the same age as Dick and pushed them together as the new pairing, they made a lot of comics degrading Kory, minimizing her interactions with Dick, and retconning her history and relationship with Dick into a one sided sexual fling.
and they turned Bruce against Kory too. This is where the idea of Bruce being a "anti-Starfire" and "pro dickbabs shipper" started.
They created this retcon in Gotham Knight #43 (2000) where Bruce acted xenopobhic towards her, making him refer to Kory as the alien and belittling her relationship with Dick, something he's never done before. Just to portray Barbara as his one true love. Bruce has never even talked about Dick and Barbara before and now suddenly he's shipping them. This retcon is not only an assasination of Kory and Bruce's character, it has also done a lot of damaged to people's perception of Bruce and Kory's relationship.
All of this for the sake of propping up a retconned romance.
Not only is Bruce mischaracterized here, Babs is also acting so weird and ooc.
There was no reason for here to moon and whine over Dick like a lovesick girl from highschool.
She was a congresswoman when Dick was still in highschool. She called Dick "a child" and "little brother". She wasn't interested with him, he was too young for her 😭
Barbara already had a life of her own and own relationships, she dated Superman and got enganged to Jason Bard 😭
Dick had a precocious crush on her but he moved on from her when he moved out of Gotham. Even the original dickbabs writer said they were never meant to be together 😬
Barbara and Dick weren't pining over each other when Dick and Kory dated for years!
Dick never even once mentioned Barbara's name in the New Teen Titans books!
There was no reason for Babs to pursue Dick and vice versa, Both have already moved on to other people but stupid dickbabs retcons just had to exist 🙄
So yeah Bruce only hates Starfire when he's written by dickbabs writers and bateditors.
He was fine with her in canon before they pushed their dickbabs agenda.
Even in elseworld stories where it's not written by dickbabs writers.
Like in the animated show He supported Dick and Kory's relationship.
and in Kingdom Come he literally went to find the best doctors to help cure Kory's illness 😭
There's no logical reason for Batman to hate Starfire other than just to shit on Kory and prop up Dickbabs.
the whole "He doesn't like her cuz she's a dangerous alien" form of excuse is also BS
his bestfriend is literally Superman, an alien who is far more powerful than Starfire, he's also teammates with Martian Manhunter who is also an alien 😩
Overall yeah Fuck Dickbabs. It's the only ship that is good at character assasinating characters.
