Cate being the girl in the chair makes a lotta sense, though I do feel like her color costume wise going off of what she wears in show is green tho— which also happens to be the direct opposite of Marie’s red on the color wheel lol

Hmm, I don't know why but I mostly associate her with yellow (maybe because of her hair, maybe because her favorite outfit of mine was that yellow top so it just sticks out the most). But yeah, I think green would work for her too! I chose white because it shouts mental powers to me. White rooms and pills and such.

What do the other Guardian’s supersuits look like? Rereading HTBLIL and I absolutely love what you did with Marie and Jordan’s and how it embodies the X-men qualities and meshes together with their personalities and powers! Also Vought rebranding Fortress to be in-universe Nightwing is just perfect and so in canon lol

Thank you so much! I'm not entirely sure what the other Guardians costumes will look like in detail, but I will probably be giving a few descriptions in the next chapter since they will be back in the spotlight as a group following the tsunami. I know Emma's suit is pink, Sam's is orange, Andre's is gray/silver and Cate does not wear a supersuit as she's more the team manager/professor X of the group (her signature color is white though), but I still have to work out the rest of the details in my head.

SO many shows only exist because of shorter seasons. Shows that tumblr are utterly mad for. We get shorter seasons now (and believe it or not, that isn’t that new, cable shows have always had about 13 episodes, network shows with ads were the ones that tended to run longer), but we also have lots more shows than we used to, and it’s impossible to make all of them at 22 episodes. The Get Down, The Baby Sitter’s Club, A League of their Own, Dickinson, High Fidelity, all of them had very short runs or were cruelly cancelled early, but if 22 episode, ad supported seasons were still the norm, I don’t think those shows would have seen the light of day at all.

Everything, with the possible exception of sitcoms would be as aggressively white as it was when I was in middle school, and nearly everything full stop would be aggressively straight, because that’s what’s considered safer. I don’t think we’d have Gen V, I don’t think we’d have the Flanaverse, I don’t even think we’d have Arcane. Having a 22 episode season of Arcane sounds legit but when 9 episodes took 6 years I’m not sure it would have been feasible on a similar budget. Not saying things are perfect now, they aren’t, you have to sort through a lot of trash to get to the gems. But there are still gems.
