that validating but also infuriating moment when i see a post that makes me annoyed and then i go into the notes and it’s like 90% terfs agreeing with it like okay good i’m not crazy this post was bullshit. also i think if a ton of terfs are agreeing with your point then MAYBE you should rethink what you’re saying a little bit

Thinking about Stalker!Anakin x Depressed!Reader
Tag list - Add yourself to my tag list or to my anon emojis through my pinned post ! @vixxensvoid @maevesversion @sockiess @stylesslytherinskywalker @myheadhurtscutely @yourenogoodforme @gallerygourmet
For this, we’ll say that reader is going through a depressive episode and isn’t always like this so they don’t know how to cope
Stalker!Anakin that absolutely loves the fact that you have to rely on him, he hates that you’re struggling mentally, but overall he has the most toxic need for you to be completely dependent on him
You haven’t been eating enough recently? Of course he’ll make sure to restock your kitchen for you! You don’t have enough energy to even get up and make yourself something? He’ll do it for you. You probably sleep a lot and it’s easier for him to sneak in and cook something for you so that way when you wake up, you can just eat whatever he made!
Either you’re sleeping too much or too little, either way Ani will help. If you’re absolutely restless at night, he’ll do everything he can to help you relax. Make you a cup of tea, use aromatherapy, put on some background noise that isn’t distracting, and if you already have sleeping pills, he’ll make sure you take them.
Speaking of pills, any kind of medication you take whether it’s for your depression, or maybe you take some for anxiety, or to just stabilize your mood. He’ll make sure it’s in a reachable place, probably on your bedside table so you can take it without even getting out of bed.
On the off chance that you’re suicidal, you can bet your ass that he’s taking everything out of your apartment that could harm you. You won’t have access to your medication bottles, in fear that you’ll overdose. You wouldn’t have any sharp knives, razors, rope, etc. Anything that he thinks could end your life, will be moved into his place until further notice.
If you’re struggling with hygiene, he’ll still be there for you. Of course he can’t force you to get up and take a shower but he’ll make it easier on you. He’ll leave your toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, whatever else you have for your oral hygiene on your bedside table, maybe a vanity or desk if you have one in your room.
He’d make sure to put clean clothes on your bathroom counter, knowing damn well that if you do shower, you probably wouldn’t even pick out clean clothes.
Most of your laundry is probably dirty, so he’d take it upon himself to make sure that you have clean clothes, if you’re actually out of bed, maybe on a walk to get some sunlight, he’ll even wash your bedding and sheets.
If you’re actually out of the house, it’s honestly a miracle. Being home all day long makes it harder for him to sneak in, although if your sleep schedule is fucked up enough, it makes it easier for him to sneak in during the day. If you’re out of the house, he’d for sure be inside your home, making sure that everything is taken care of. Trash taken out, dishes done, floors swept and mopped.
Your financial situation can be tricky, if you have a job then it helps that you’re out of the house, if you’re unemployed, he’d definitely make sure you have all the money you need. Maybe you’re rich and don’t have to worry about money. But maybe you also work from home and need to get work done on your laptop. Anything you didn’t finish up, he’ll finish for you.
If you’re in college, he’d help with your schoolwork load, making sure any essays are done on time.
If you’re isolating yourself from people, it would give him a sick kind of happiness, knowing that you don’t need anyone but him. Although he’d still feel bad, knowing that social interaction is important for mental health. He’d make sure that your friends and family stop by. Maybe he steals your phone and texts them, or maybe they just decide to stop by. Either way, he’ll make sure you’re awake and ready to meet them.
He knows how important it is to get off your phone when depressed, he’d probably delete all the social media off your phone, even going as far as to set up a parental lock on the AppStore so anytime you want to download something, you’d need a code.
He’d make sure you have access to your hobbies and passions. Reconnecting with those things will make you feel better. If you’re an artist, you better expect to see new sketchbooks, pencils, markers, paints, canvases, all of it.
Okay that’s all I’ve been thinking about ❤️

🍄 astro notes 🍄
venus biquintile pluto is a really interesting aspect. the biquintile is usually associated with creativity and the development of artistic ability, and with venus being involved, there is even more potential and a genuine love for art. the native will find happiness and connection through their creative pursuits. with pluto on the other end of the aspect, something interesting happens. there can be a tendency towards obsession; they are more dedicated and more patient, with a strong work ethic and a desire to find meaning through their art, and it can bring them real catharsis. they may discover and nurture repressed parts of themselves through their art, and overall, there is a bit of a darker theme to this otherwise light and bright placement.
moon square pluto is often given a really negative spin online; i’ve seen everything from emotionally out of control to “will abuse their children”! this just isn’t a helpful way to interpret harsh aspects. my experience with this placement is that big emotions are very frightening, often because of the native’s early experiences. they seek to “control” their emotions, which can make them quite vulnerable to impulsive or addictive behaviours. they often have a deep relationship with mother figures, and with their children, which yes, at their worst, can become enmeshed and intense. but at their best, these relationships are intimate and founded on mutual trust, long lasting and able to weather the harshest storms.
venus-saturn aspects are all about delayed gratification. the native has to grow into their loving, creative, social side, and they usually have to "grow through what they go through"; depending on the aspect, they may just feel a little different, or have no interest in relationships, or they may grow up lonely or isolated, or deal with unhealthy relationships. they have to do a lot of self-work to develop self-love and nurture the soft, creative side of themselves, before they can really feel at home around other people. but when they reach that point, they can build beautiful, devoted and ultimately very healthy connections with others, that allow all involved to really thrive.
pluto conjunct ascendant natives have a really intense gaze. i think that usually we only think of the eyes when they think of the pluto stare, but to me it goes a lot further than that; especially with the conjunction, pluto-ascendant people look with their whole body. they have the intense eye contact, sure, but they tend to also have a hard mouth and slightly furrowed brow, a certain tension in their jaws and necks. they look like a cat about to pounce in a way, you can almost see that electrical energy under their skin.
in astrology, the sextile and trine are considered to be harmonious aspects; they denote an easy, well-blended connection between the two planets involved. the sextile is steadier, and more prone to stagnation, which can look like complacency or even entitlement; the trine is more dynamic, meaning in a way, it's easier to bring out the positives of the aspect.
lilith in the tenth house is a placement that is very vulnerable when it comes to social media. nowadays, it's so normalised to post everything that it's almost radical to stay away from it, and with lilith in the tenth house, it's easy to feel validated and vindicated through what they post. unfortuntely they are easy targets for online abuse and can actually feed into and "bait" this kind of harmful interaction when hurting and angry. lilith in the tenth house needs to learn to find healthy outlets and become more reflective, less reactive.
uranus conjunct ascendant natives are bright, almost electrified. they can be prone to sudden epiphanies that show up in strange moments; sitting bolt upright in the middle of the night with a sudden realisation, for example. they can be chaotic, but when given space to breathe, they are brilliant, both in that they are clever and reflective with the energy to pull off everything they think up, and that they seem to sparkle. there is a clarity to their voice, their eyes, like they glow from within.
venus square the north node natives really struggle with being uncomfortable. they tend to be somewhat sensitive, and are irresistibly drawn to the beautiful, the soft and smooth. they just want to be comfortable, but this can lead to the native avoiding or dropping anything uncomfortable. if they want to grow and feel fuller in themselves, they will have to learn to thrive in challenging situations, without going too far in the opposite direction and not being able to listen to their instincts or enjoy anything in life.
libra suns with mercury in scorpio are an interesting mix, because they have the reflective sensitivity of libra and the stark and often quite brutal language of scorpio. they are often quite gifted writers, with a talent for the existential and deeply emotional. they aren’t as talkative as you’d expect a libra sun to be, and they are generally more somber, but with a dry, dark sense of humour and a disarming straightforwardness to them.

Fighting AI and learning how to speak with your wallet
So, if you're a creative of any kind, chances are that you've been directly affected by the development of AI. If you aren't a creative but engage with art in any way, you may also be plenty aware of the harm caused by AI. And right now, it's more important than ever that you learn how to fight against it.
The situation is this: After a few years of stagnation on relevant stuff to invest to, AI came out. Techbros, people with far too much money trying to find the big next thing to invest in, cryptobros, all these people, flocked to it immediately. A lot of people are putting money in what they think to be the next breakthrough- And AI is, at its core, all about the money. You will get ads shoved in your fave about "invest in AI now!" in every place. You will get ads telling you to try subscription services for AI related stuff. Companies are trying to gauge how much they can depend on AI in order to fire their creatives. AI is opening the gates towards the biggest data laundering scheme there's been in ages. It is also used in order to justify taking all your personal information- Bypassing existing laws.
Many of them are currently bleeding investors' money though. Let it be through servers, through trying to buy the rights to scrape content from social media (incredibly illegal, btw), amidst many other things. A lot of the tech giants have also been investing in AI-related infrastructures (Microsoft, for example), and are desperate to justify these expenses. They're going over their budgets, they're ignoring their emissions plans (because it's very toxic to the environment), and they're trying to make ends meet to justify why they're using it. Surely, it will be worth it.
Now, here's where you can act: Speak with your wallet. They're going through a delicate moment (despite how much they try to pretend they aren't), and it's now your moment to act. A company used AI in any manner? Don't buy their products. Speak against them in social media. Make noise. It doesn't matter how small or how big. A videogame used AI voices? Don't buy the game. Try to get a refund if you did. Social media is scraping content for AI? Don't buy ads, don't buy their stupid blue checks, put adblock on, don't give them a cent. A film generated their poster with AI? Don't watch it. Don't engage with it. Your favourite creator has made AI music for their YT channel? Unsub, bring it up in social media, tell them directly WHY you aren't supporting. Your favourite browser is now integrating AI in your searches? Change browsers.
Let them know that the costs they cut through the use of AI don't justify how many customers they'd lose. Wizards of the Coast has been repeatedly trying to see how away they can get with the use of AI- It's only through consumer boycotting and massive social media noise that they've been forced to go back and hire actual artists to do that work.
The thing with AI- It doesn't benefit the consumer in any way. It's capitalism at its prime: Cut costs, no matter how much it impacts quality, no matter how inhumane it is, no matter how much it pollutes. AI searches are directly feeding you misinformation. ChatGPT is using your input to feed itself. Find a Discord server to talk with others about writing. Try starting art yourself, find other artists, join a community. If you can't, use the money you may be saving from boycotting AI shills to support a fellow creative- They need your help more than ever.
We're in a bit of a nebulous moment. Laws against AI are probably around the corner: A lot of AI companies are completely aware that they're going to crash if they're legally obliged to disclose the content they used to train their machines, because THEY KNOW it is stolen. Copyright is inherent to human created art: You don't need to even register it anywhere for it to be copyrighted. The moment YOU created it, YOU have the copyright to it. They can't just scrape social media because Meta or Twitter or whatever made a deal with OpenAI and others, because these companies DON'T own your work, they DON'T get to bypass your copyright.
And to make sure these laws get passed, it's important to keep the fight against AI. AI isn't offering you anything of use. It's just for the benefit of companies. Let it be known it isn't useful, and that people's work and livelihoods are far more important than letting tech giants save a few cents. Instead, they're trying to gauge how MUCH they can get away with. They know it goes against European GDPR laws, but they're going to try to strech what these mean and steal as much data up until clear ruling comes out.
The wonder about boycotts is that they don't even need you to do anything. In fact, it's about not doing some stuff. You don't need money to boycott- Just to be aware about where you put it. Changing habits is hard- People can't stop eating at Chick-fil-a no matter how much they use the money against the LGBTQ collective, but people NEED to learn how to do it. Now it's the perfect time to cancel a subscription, find an alternate plan to watching that one film and maybe joining a creative community yourself.

Hello everyone, I really don't like asking for it, but it's undeniable that me and my housemates could use some help. We live in a very conservative area, and all of us are visibly queer. We're trying to raise funds to move somewhere safer, but the only way I can earn income safely is through art, as I've been threatened or put in harm's way due to my apparent trans-ness at every place I've worked at. My roommates face similar tribulations, living in the public eye here is simply unsustainable. There's more info on the going-ons of our situation in the gofundme, but if you can't afford to donate, sharing this post, my commission post, or the gofundme on my other social medias does so much in the way of getting us out of here.
if you'd rather donate directly, my paypal and kofi.
We are extremely appreciative of any help we can get, shares makes a huge difference.
AND, for your time, an image of our cat, Mr Mayor, who you would also be benefiting.
Tumblr media
Thank you.

˚ ༘ ೀ⋆。˚ Study tips for u!
❥ these are tips I stick by and always try to apply while I’m studying for tests or exams !
❥ always try to start studying early, I usually start 3 days before a test and a week before an exam (can vary depending on material, how much time I have to study and how comfortable I am with it)
❥ if you don’t understand something, get help on it immediately!! Don’t wait until the day before an exam to start asking important questions!
❥ find a way of studying that works for you, ex: I usually write study questions for myself and reread them + have somebody ask me them
❥ try to limit distractions at all times while studying (put your phone in a different room and only listen to music like lofi)
❥ make sure to take care of your needs before studying or else you might have trouble focusing (make sure you’ve eaten, drank water and gotten an adequate amount of sleep)
❥ studying all night isnt an effective way to study. Even if you can’t cover all the material by the time needed make sure to prioritize sleeping because if you are too tired during an exam and forget everything or make stupid mistakes you could do more harm than if you had just gone to sleep instead of covering all the material
❥ related to the previous tip, wake up early to study. Go to bed earlier and get a good 8 hours of sleep then wake up early to study and review. This is more effective then pulling all nighters.
❥ make sure to take breaks when you feel you need to, if you can’t focus take a quick few minutes to breathe maybe eat something, try to avoid going on social media as this will distract you.

I’ve gotten a couple people reading worm lately, and they keep running into the Weaver section and getting mad. They understand it from a Watsonian perspective; Taylor’s goals, the endbringers, and Dinah’s plan all make it make sense in universe why a girl continually failed and betrayed by The Man would try to resuscitate The Man. But i’m having trouble justifying it from a Doylist perspective. The story thus far has been about people who fall through the cracks (Pact reference!). People who society fails and who have their own myriad of reasons to distrust authority. Why would Wildbow make such an abrupt swing towards bootlicking? Or am i misunderstanding something about Worm?
worm isn't The Most Revolutionary Cop-Hating Media Ever but i don't think you can justify calling the weaver arc "an abrupt swing towards bootlicking" unless you're under the impression that whatever taylor does is de facto supposed to be seen as The Unimpeachably Correct Choice™️. immediately prior to deciding to be weaver, she has multiple experiences that really drill into her this idea that i discussed in a much older post:
the amount of grace or aid socially extended to you depends on how much power you have or how useful you are. when the principal actually helps taylor with emma right before she’s outed, it’s not because the system is suddenly working properly, it’s just because the system now favors taylor. when the kids who stand up for taylor in the cafeteria tell her why, the reasoning they give isn’t that it seemed like the right thing to do, but that she had done something for them or their families in the past. she’s not being helped in the cafeteria because bystanders are suddenly invested in doing the right thing, she’s being helped because she was useful. sure, she’s on top now, and that can feel pretty satisfying, but that doesn’t change that she’s only being helped because she’s on top. none of the structures which frustrated her at the start of the story have changed, only her position with them has.
which i assume you get, because you started the ask by talking about how it is plausible and in-character for her to attempt to resuscitate The Man despite being betrayed repeatedly by The Man! so i'm not sure where you're feeling it's unsatisfying on a thematic or narrative level; worm isn't presenting that taylor has suddenly regained idealistic hopes of Being A Hero and stopping The Bad Guys, nor is it asserting that the PRT is actually good and awesome because she's deciding to join it. taylor became "the authority," realized that staying where she was would only be continuing to benefit her (now in a position to receive the biased benefits she loathes that society doles out) without making any further improvements/societal changes she desired, and decided to join a different system of authority she thought would better allow her to prepare people for the end of the world. none of this is thematically at odds with how the PRT has been portrayed as a deeply harmful system, with how taylor has slipped through the cracks and been failed by society, etc., so i just don't see how you can draw the conclusion that it's bootlicking unless taylor being a warlord also means that wildbow is endorsing organized crime or taylor body-jacking thousands of people means wildbow is endorsing mass removal of bodily autonomy

Hey so, tomorrow (or today depending on where you live.) is the end of the strike and well hate to be bearer of bad news but rest and doodles isn't assured when you return to regular posting. In literally TWO days from now, a new bill will pass called the KOSA bill, and it will cause MASS CENSIRSHIP across the media! Now this bill claims to "protect kids" but in actually it will cause more harm than good to everyone since kids won't have readily availible acess (or even at all) to content that can actually help them, people would not be able to educate themselves as access to some information or topics would be deemed "innapropriate", freedom of expression would be revoked especially lgbtqia people, a lot, privacy wouldn't be respected because you would have to verify yourself, and most importantly fandoms would cease to exist (or at least have trouble existing).
Now this is only a simplified list of things that might happen if the bill does get passed. I highly recomend that you do your own research and that you spread the information you have gathered to your friends, family, and most importantly governers (last two are kind of oppotional if you don't have a good family life or you don't live Canada or the U.S).
Please respond.
Hello, this seems very important I'm looking at this so uh
The links below are what I end up finding. I don't think it WILL pass 2 days from now and be applied immediately? (If I'm wrong and am not finding the right sources absolutely lmk but yeah I cannot seem that find that information)
The bill MIGHT pass on the 26th, but even then it will have to pass in the House in the US Congress to be really implemented. (Source + other various news articles I read)
And honestly if it would require people to validate government IDs on socials that would. That requires some kinda worldwide government cooperation or smth (unless it only applies to US users?) so yeah it's probably not a two days freak out thing from what I'm seeing SHAKJWAJ?
But yeah that is a real problem if it really gets passed passed. It's gonna censor so many things Jesus Christ and government ids on socials just sounds out of the world
Here's another post I found that has links to how we can help

Semantic Error | A Jeon Jungkook Series | Chapter 4
Tumblr media
Based off of Semantic Error (bl) by J Soori Summary: Jungkook asks to spent time with y/n as friends Pairing: Techie inexperienced fem!reader x Artist fuck boy Jungkook Word Count: 1.2k~ Warnings: Nothing really, Jungkook is just being annoying and flirty a/n: This is just a tiny bite of the story since I haven't updated it in almost 5 days... oops. I'm spending time at my sister's house for the next few days but I should be able to work on posting more on Monday :) Read from the beginning
Days after my reconciliation with Jungkook I find myself thinking of the possibility of asking him if he would consider working on the game with me again but that would require me to swallow my pride. I'm not really in favor of that option so I decide to wait until he brings it up... if he brings it up.
I could always put up a flyer in the visual arts department asking if anyone would be interested in joining. I'm saying it here and now, I will never crawl back to him, if he sees that I'm still looking for a designer and ends up being interested then he can beg me to be a part of the project again.
Either way as long as I get a new one by the end of the week then I don't care who I work with. As long as they have a good work ethic and their character design doesn't suck and they can keep to deadlines and... well maybe it might be a bit harder to find someone to fit the bill than I thought it would, knowing that people tend to be very unreliable and unpredictable creatures. I don't want to go through what I went through with Hana cancelling on me again. I guess the only way to really try to find someone is let people know about it.
Calculating all the pros and cons of what the result might be depending on my methods I decide fliers with my contact information would be my best bet. I'll just place it on some sort of bulletin board and hope for the best. If that doesn't work I'll resort to some sort of digital announcement. Opening the program I plan to use I notice that I've received a friend request on sns. Pulling it up I'm greeted with a follow request from Jungkook which I find strange but I accept it nonetheless. Soon after I get a DM from him in my inbox.
'Hey pretty, I didn't realize you had social media, I guess this means we're friends now that we're following each other :)' I roll my eyes at his pathetic excuse at flirting.
'Last I checked you followed me, I haven't followed you yet' I say putting him in his place.
'Yet ;)' shit I should've just ignored him.
'Come on y/n just follow me, I promise my account isn't some narcissistic blog or anything, plus next time we see each other I want to take a picture with you and post it! I like posting pictures of my friends!' he says and I can feel his smile through the phone and I roll my eyes at the thought.
'You have to ask for my consent before posting anything' I reply ultimately giving into him since there's no harm done with clicking a single button.
'Okay I got it. Hey can we meet up in the library tomorrow? I wanted to spend some time with you. I know you end up spending a lot of time in there anyways so I just thought that maybe we could study together, especially since we taking Chinese together' he says waiting for my permission to give him another place to annoy me in.
'What makes you think I would want to study with you?' I say hoping to brush him off.
'y/n I'm your TA , I've see all of the work you've turned in' he teases.
'What's that supposed to mean?' I ask offended at what he's implying.
'It means that you write like a child. Plus your accent when you speak isn't the best either. I could tutor you if you'd like ;)' he responds, simultaneously offering his help while also insulting me.
'Pass' I say frustrated with his attitude.
'I'm sorry I didn't mean it, I just like thinking about what you might look like while you're responding to me. You probably have your brows pinched together looking utterly offended and maybe even blushing from embarrassment'
'I'm not embarrassed!' I retort.
'Why don't you look in the mirror pretty, I've got you blushing without even being there don't I' I get up frustrated, determined to prove him wrong but to my disgust I see my cheeks with a light dusting of pink.
'Fuck you' I reply indirectly confirming his suspicions.
"Anyway do you want to meet after the class you have after Chinese?' he suggests.
'Aren't you in that class too?' I question annoyed by the memory of him taking my spot for the second time that day.
'No I dropped the class, there was no way I was gonna stay in it and bring down my gpa, I just wanted to annoy you for a bit' he admits.
'Do you have another class after Chinese?' I ask curious as to what he'll do while I'm in class.
'Oh no I'm done for the day after that :)' he sends
'So you're just gonna wait around for me until my hour and a half class ends and then spend even more time studying together? Don't you have something better to do with your life?' I question, confused as to why he would do that.
'Not really, I just wanna spend some time with you. I wanna be friends remember?' he send with no hesitation.
Is this what friends do for each other? Waste a whole day waiting for your class to finish just to then tutor them afterwards just because you want to 'spend time with them'?
'You Jeon Jungkook are an enigma' I respond not bothering to acknowledge his continued efforts to establish a friendship with me for some odd reason.
'Thank you? Anyways what's your answer pretty?' he prods, not satisfied with my evasion of his proposition.
'First off stop calling me that, second I'll be there from 3-6 are you prepared to stay for that long?' I question trying to get him to rescind his invitation.
'Yep, I'll make sure to clear my schedule, see you then pretty ;)'
I groan audibly at his antics and close out the app. I guess this whole flyer situation can wait until tomorrow since he's given me a splitting headache from all of this. Who knows maybe he'll bring up the game tomorrow so I won't have to make them or swallow my pride, therefore making him come crawling back to me since he seems so eager to spend time with me.
Taking a deep breath to clear my mind I decide to go to bed early to prepare myself for the mystery this is to be my day tomorrow. My days used to be the same week to week, month to month through out my life with minor changes to my class schedules since I've been in college but ever since Jeon Jungkook decided to walk into my life it has been anything but ordinary.
I'm used to scheduling things down to the very minute and that has worked well for me. It's set me up for success in my schooling but also as an adult. My life is what some people might call boring but I find peace in my calculated existence. Whereas Jeon Jungkook rolls with the punches and lives in chaos. My world is in black and white and his is in color, my life is routine and his life is creative. Why has someone like him taken an interest in me when I'm the exact opposite. Why can't he just leave me alone? I guess the real question I should be asking is why can't I get him out of my head?

🪐 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬: send me a song and a character and I'll write a little thing (blurb, oneshot) (depending on how inspired i am by the song, *cough* your best odds are with taylor swift) ab them based on the lyrics !
okayy so i'm thinking about a fic based on "one night only" by sonder! possibly with drew if that's okay??
some lyrics to help u get the picture:
I'm flying out for the weekend
I'll be calling you when I land
'Cause we ain't got no time to waste
And I don't give a damn 'bout your boyfriend
He can have you when I go
Next week, it might be Japan
I'm in town for one night (one night)
For one night only (one night only)
I came around to put it down (I came around)
For one night only (just for one night)
Got a room for me and you (I got a room)
For one night only
You wanna ride for a lifetime
This is one night only
p.s.: it's an amazing song go listen to it <333
omg i'd never heard this song and it was so good!! thank you for requesting this b!!
one night only (d.s)
pairing: drew x reader
wc: 807
Tumblr media
drew's first thought when he realized he had an eighteen-hour layover in new york was that he had to see you. it had been almost a year since your breakup, sure, but he couldn't just miss this opportunity because you weren't together anymore.
"drew, what do you need?" you sigh as you answer the phone, internally thanking the universe that your new boyfriend wasn't home at this exact moment.
"hey, uh, i'll be in new york tonight. i was hoping you'd want to meet up." he answers, bag at his feet while he's on the way to the airport.
you freeze up a little bit, glancing around at your apartment, at the new life you've made for yourself with your new boyfriend. "i don't think that's a good idea..." you reply quietly. you weren't about to admit that sometimes, when your boyfriend was asleep next to you in the bed you shared, that you think about how much you missed your ex. or that when he would play music in the shower that it was one of drew's favourite songs, too.
"come on, y/n/n. what's the harm?" drew chuckles.
"what's the harm? i have a boyfriend! that's the harm!"
"oh, please." drew rolls his eyes. he's never met your boyfriend, but he still follows you on instagram, and occasionally you would curse yourself for not blocking his number, or his social media, but you couldn't bring yourself to do it. "i'll level with you, babe, i don't really care about your boyfriend."
"you don't get to call me that anymore." you scoff, ignoring the growing heat in your chest and the increase of your heart rate. "besides, he's not yours to care about." you reply.
"true." drew nods to himself. "but i know that he's in LA this weekend, so apparently he's not yours to worry about right now either."
you pause, looking over at the clock. he's right. "hey, i just... i figured we could catch up. I've missed you." he admits, wanting to diffuse the tension that he already quickly built up.
you sigh, shaking your head at yourself for what you're about to agree to. "okay. okay, yeah. sure."
"sweet. i've got a hotel by the airport, i'll call you when i land." drew smiles. "see you soon, y/n/n."
"yeah, see you later." you say quietly, hanging up the phone and throwing it across the apartment. you're mad at yourself, but you simply couldn't resist seeing him again.
a few hours later, you're still cursing yourself as you stand in the lobby of the nice hotel, waiting for the elevator to his floor. you could turn back, you could just ghost him and finally block him on everything- but you don't have the guts to. your body has made the decision for you as you quickly step inside and press the button, watching the doors close in front of you again. you drag your feet as you approach the door, knocking on it twice and looking around, making sure no one will see you.
your heart is beating fast as he opens the door, and you feel the air get knocked out of you.
"hey, babe. come in." he says, that damn smirk everpresent on his lips.
you brush past him and he lets the door close as you both turn to face each other. your arms are crossed tightly across your chest as you look up at him, fully on the defensive before he's even said another word. you're scared if you drop your arms you'll want to hug him.
"good to see you too." he nods, raising an eyebrow at you. he's waiting for you to crumble.
"what do you want, drew? because i doubt you just wanted to catch up if you're keeping tabs on where in the country my boyfriend is." you ask, tilting your head at him.
he raises his hands defensively. "hey, woah- is it a crime to want to see my girl when i'm in town? i just missed you."
"i'm not 'your girl' anymore, drew." you bite back.
drew chuckles to himself and takes a step closer to you. you try to keep your front strong as he looks down at you with those bright, blue eyes. you always thought they were like deep blue pools, and you knew you would get lost in them again if given the chance. "you'll always be my girl, y/n, i think even you know that..."
your resolve breaks apart in front of you, despite you trying to cling onto the idea that this was wrong. think of your boyfriend, think of him, think of him, think of him.
you don't even remember what he looks like as your lips crash against drew's again, and suddenly you feel more at home than you ever did in your new apartment.

Hi! I follow you across social media and I really love your art and am super looking forward to reading Hello Sunshine! I wanted to reach out because I'm also Bipolar and I really appreciate the work you do to spread awareness about it but there's something that I find kind of harmful in how you talk about it, and it's just the insistance that it absolutely can't be treated through non-medical means. I fully understand that meds are life-saving and that depending on the severity of symptoms, length, and frequency of episodes, going without medication can be lethal. However, as someone with Bipolar I but controlled symptoms (and frankly symptoms that seem a lot less disruptive than yours, I'm sorry), hearing that there's no path forward without medication would easily have triggered suicidal thoughts when I was younger. There are a lot of reasons why people can't be medicated (for me it was a combination of family control and financial struggle), but hearing at your lowest that there's no way forward without something that you can't have is really damaging. I think it's totally possible to stress the importance of medical access and the need to work with your medical provider without erasing the ways that non-medical treatments can also be life-saving, depending on a person's situation/symptoms/etc and that some people can live full lives even if their symptoms aren't fully controlled. Anyway, I love your work and I just wanted to raise this alternate perspective because I think you're helping a lot of people, but I also think a lot of people can be harmed by this rhetoric, especially marginalized people who can't seek medication for any number of factors beyond their control.
Hi Anon! I totally hear what you're saying, and so I just wanted to run through a few things to clarify my stance, both for you and for others who might be reading this (omg I am SO sorry this is so long though haha):
I do emphasize treatment a lot, because I think it's really important for people to work with professionals to find ways to manage their illness. This is partly due to my own experience (I avoided treatment for a looong time) and anecdotally, but also because the research we have is pretty clear--untreated bipolar has much, much worse outcomes for a vast majority of people. However! When I say treatment, I don't necessarily mean medication, and certainly not only medication! I absolutely think some people (though it is sadly rare) can find ways of managing their illness medication-free. I just feel that it's best to do this work with the help of professionals + peers (whether that's a psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, social worker, support group, etc) who can help you find your way, and help you manage symptoms that do crop up (this is especially true if you're currently on medication and choosing to go off of it, since that can come with physical risks). I could definitely stand to make this distinction a lot clearer though, and I'll try to be more mindful of it in the future.
I also can definitely see how my words could imply that I think non-medication ways of treating bipolar aren't valuable, and I'll work on my phrasing going forward, because they absolutely are! My aim is not to dismiss stuff like self-help or lifestyle changes or meditation or exercise, because I think they're great--for example, that kind of stuff has helped a ton with my anxiety and overall quality of life, and I know for a lot of people they help with their bipolar symptoms. But for me, these things simply don't have much of an impact on the bipolar, and our culture's emphasis on them frustrates me because it prevented me from getting proper care for a very long time, and made me feel like a failure for not being able to control my symptoms despite working so hard. So I'll also try to be more clear in the future about whether I'm venting about my own situation vs speaking broadly.
I also definitely hope I've never said anything that implies that our symptoms are inevitably life-ruining! My symptoms aren't completely controlled (particularly my lows), either, and I like to think I live a pretty good life. I think for many people un-treated bipolar can be life-ruining, and I've just heard too many stories about people who thought they could manage on their own only to have an absolutely devastating manic episode to not warn people of the risk. But most of us will continue to experience some degree of symptoms throughout our lives, absolutely.
I totally understand why someone would want to go med-free, or at least try it, and I in no way think the medications we have now are flawless haha. Side effects are awful, life-changing, and can even be life-threatening (I've had some horrible experiences with side effects myself); the meds we have now aren't very effective against depressive episodes for a lot of people (myself included), and for some people they're not effective at all; meds for most people don't completely eradicate symptoms, etc. I'm fully on board with the med struggle, and I honestly spend a lot of time criticizing the options available to us, though less so publicly, since I don't want to further stigmatize the idea of taking psych meds in general!
One of the reasons I emphasize medication (when I do emphasize meds, specifically) is because when I was younger, I was terrified of even the idea of them. I avoided it for years and really, really suffered because of it. I think our culture does in general look down on psych meds, particularly the kind we usually take, so I'm trying to destigmatize the concept of them, and emphasize for people with similar fears that taking meds can be just as life-saving and healing as they are harmful and frustrating, and that it's at least worth trying.
I'm a YA cartoonist (and former teacher, barista at a youth coffeehouse, tutor, I worked for a kids' gaming website...actually all of my jobs apart from dishwashing have involved kids, now that I think of it lmao), so a lot of the time when I'm talking about this stuff on social media, my target audience is sort of...very young people and kids who think they have bipolar (or may have even been diagnosed) but are afraid to seek help and/or don't think they need help and/or don't think help is going to actually help. So my goal is to demystify and normalize the idea of taking meds and/or seeking treatment for those people, and to emphasize that just because they're able to manage their illness now, that might change in the future, and imo they need to be aware of the very real risks, which includes things like an incredibly high suicide rate for unmedicated individuals, and the reality that the illness can be progressive (episodes can get worse and harder to treat the more you have them--they certainly did for me, and I wish I had been more open to the idea much earlier).
On a similar note, it's also important to recognize that a lot of things can look like bipolar, and a lot of people don't really know what bipolar actually looks like to begin with (particularly if you're getting your info from tiktok or similar). So if you've self-diagnosed and never explored treatment options (emphasis on options!) you can easily be missing stuff like thyroid issues, epilepsy, brain tumors, vitamin deficiencies, or a myriad of other treatable mental illnesses that mimic bipolar, and I strongly believe that people deserve care and help for whatever they're struggling with, including the possibility that it isn't bipolar at all!
Finally, I truly hope I've never said anything that comes off like I'm looking down on or judging people who choose to not be medicated for whatever reason! If it works for you then that's phenomenal (I'm jealous tbh) but it's honestly none of my business haha. When I talk about this stuff I do try to stress most people, because we're of course not a monolith, and when I say something like 'a majority of people with bipolar will need some form of medication to flourish' I don't mean to dismiss those who aren't in that majority. It's more that I want people to be open to the idea that they're not failures for needing meds, that they're actually in very good company, as well as to combat the 'just meditate! or try harder!' narrative that's so prevalent in our culture.
Edit: one last thought, which is that part of my target audience is also parents or guardians whose kids might be struggling--kids are obviously the group with the least access to treatment on their own terms. My hope is that talking about my experiences and discussing the risks will help motivate guardians to get help for their kids, and also help motivate kids to seek their own treatment as soon as they're able. Most people develop bipolar in their late teens and early 20s (though my first hypomanic ep was at 16), so it's a relatively small percentage of folks in this situation, but I do see how a kid whose parents aren't willing to help them could take my words badly, so I'll try to keep that in mind!
I'm definitely going to be more careful about how I phrase things going forward, because I can absolutely see how my intent could be lost. Hopefully this clears things up a bit (although it's also possible that we simply disagree, and I think that's okay too--like I said, our community is not a monolith, and a lot of these conversations are fundamentally ongoing)!
tldr; I'll make an effort to watch my words so that it's clear that my target audience really isn't my bipolar peers, and that the target of my criticisms is anti-medication wellness culture + psych med stigma, not the concept of non-medication alternatives or additions in general. And I'll try to do a better job of highlighting when I'm speaking only for myself vs our community as a whole!

Card of the Day!
So, I'm not great with editing/design or with running social media but this is honest work so let's go! Take a deep breath and pick a card. If you want a personal reading message me here, leave an ask, or message me on my ig @multimistica (beware of spelling, it's spelled like that because my ig page is in portuguese) This reading is much more intense than I intended it to be, it may help to mentalize what you need advice on today to narrow down the meaning of your chosen card from the descriptions I've made below so your reading can be more precise.
Tumblr media
Card 1 - X of Swords
Defeat. Peak of despair. This is pretty much rock bottom, there's nowhere to go but up. You might suffer some sort of tragic event today in which you feel defeated, like a martyr, broken beyond repair, or something of the like. It's like when something goes wrong in the worst way it possibly could. The message of this card is it can no longer get any worse than that, pick yourself up and move on. Dwelling in that is no use, move on (as hard as it may be). The depiction of this card is quite graphic, for those unfamiliar with it, here it is:
Tumblr media
So help yourself, remove the swords, tend to your wounds and move on. Biggest advice with this card is to move on cause it's literally the worst it can get. The worst that could happen did happen, so after this it can't get any worst at all, and that's what brings relief about it. If this is rock bottom, and you're there and still alive, things can no longer get any worse, and it is in that you must find your peace and fucking FINALLY start healing and moving up, after this defeat things can FINALLY start to get better, even if a small bit at time. You've survived the worst, now you live on to see the best start coming.
Card 2 - II of Pentacles
Multitasking. There may be a lot on your plate right now, as you're dealing with lots of things. It's the kind of day where you're in a rush with a long list of tasks to finish, you have to get things done and you wish the day extra hours to accomodate all of that workload. This is also true in a figurative way, you might be having to deal with lots of emotions all over the place. The depiction of this card is literally a juggler:
Tumblr media
It's certainly hard to deal with such workload, so if one or two tasks go unfinished today, that's okay, just keep doing your best at it. If this card speaks to you in the emotional sense, dealing with ups and downs or with indecisiveness, the advice is to try and work through said emotions in a healthy way as they come and go. Be it work-wise or emotionally wise, the biggest advice of this card is to set your priorities and work through them in order from the most important to the least. This card may also refer to financial decisions, in this sense it is imperative you pay attention to how you're spending your money, make sure you don't spend more than you earn, if you're already doing so, then it can mean one of two things (or even both): Be careful on your financial decisions (if you're investing in something rn it means a high risk), that is the first thing. The second thing is you're going to have to work hard. Remember, hard work is highly rewarded.
Card 3 - VII of Swords
Doing what serves your own ends, often in unethical ways. This card can mean a fuckaton of different things depending on your life's context right now and in a collective reading like this it might be hard to tell in which sense it applies to you, but I'll do my best. First of all, are you being unethical, sneaky, or dodgy in any way? If so, the message is simple, stop being a bitch and go look for a ethical way to get what you're going for, seriously. Be conscientious, do no harm, if you're dead set on something by unethical means there is certainly a better, more ethical way to get it and you must find it. If you're about to do harm to someone seeking justice, don't, let divine justice take place instead. Take a good look at this card:
Tumblr media
With that out of the way, if you're not doing any sketchy shit right now, then BEWARE.
If you're in a relationship - Beware of cheating, betrayal, mind games, a stab on the back, broken trust, going behind your back, that kind of stuff coming from your partner.
If you're in a bad friend group - Beware of being backstabbed, of negative gossip, people betraying your trust, taking things from you, going behind your back or fucking you over somehow.
In the work/academic context - Beware of people stealing your work, stealing your ideas, erasing your name from a paper and putting theirs in, plagiarizing you, backstabbing you via the HR, planning a coup, or anything.
IN ANY CASE - Beware of two-faced people. Keep your guard up, protect your secrets, don't let anyone fuck you over in any way, beat the enemy at their own game.
It's really hard to see any positive trait in this card, the whole damn card is a huge red-flag for unethical stuff, and the worst part of it is that in the case of this card the asshole at hand is usually able to get away with it. You must stay alert and be smart.
Other than the whole vitriol of warnings this card brings to stay alert to those surrounding you is, if you have to make an escape out of something, this is the right time to do so. It's the time to take a risk. It's the time to be resourceful, to plan out your strategies, to be self-reliant, and to beat your enemy at their own game, really.

Out of 8 billion people on the planet, there are only 16 million Jews—but far, far more anti-Semites. I sometimes joke that if I had fewer scruples, I wouldn’t report on anti-Jewish prejudice; I’d contract myself out to the more numerous and better-resourced bigots, and help them get away with it. Because in more than a decade covering anti-Semitism, I have become a reluctant expert in all the ways that anti-Jewish activists obfuscate their hate.
People must learn to recognize and reject these tactics, because too many communities have developed ways to excuse or otherwise ignore anti-Semitism. Today, such prejudice is growing in high and low places because powerful people around the world are running the same playbook to launder their hate into the public sphere.
Here’s how they do it:
1. They become too big to fail. Over the past six months, Elon Musk has publicly affirmed the deadliest anti-Semitic conspiracy theory in recent American history, claimed that Jews and Jewish organizations cause anti-Semitism, and echoed extremist conspiracy theories about the Jewish financier George Soros. As a result, the billionaire has lost a few advertisers on his social-media platform, and even got rapped by the White House. But as The New York Times reported, even as the U.S. government criticized Musk, it continued to buy things from him.
In fact, in recent months, Musk has raked in Pentagon cash, including more than $1 billion in exchange for launching spy satellites and other intelligence assets into orbit through his lucrative space-exploration venture, SpaceX. In September, days after Musk attacked the Anti-Defamation League and suggested that Jews cause anti-Semitism, he met with a bipartisan group of senators to discuss artificial intelligence. The magnate subsequently signed a deal worth up to $70 million to provide the U.S. government with a secure satellite communications system. “Rarely has the U.S. government so depended on the technology provided by a single technologist,” the Times wrote. Meanwhile, diverse actors ranging from the ADL to Representative Ilhan Omar keep advertising on Musk’s social-media site, his rich friends continue to defend him, and, last week, he was featured at a Times event.
Musk has similarly been wooed by Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli government, who—like Ukraine’s leadership—want to stay on the entrepreneur’s good side so that he doesn’t use technology like his Starlink satellite internet to harm their war efforts. Precisely because Musk plays a leading role in so many industries that are essential to humanity’s future—electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, space technology—no country can quit him, not even one as powerful as the United States or as Jewish as Israel. Likewise, no matter how many dinners Donald Trump has with anti-Semites such as Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Holocaust deniers such as Nick Fuentes, he will not be penalized for it by Republicans, because he is too essential to their party to be discarded.
This characteristic is what separates the big-league bigots who get away with it from those who don’t. Ye’s mistake was that he invested his talents in producing music and sneakers rather than something more indispensable to human flourishing, such as precision-guided ballistic missiles.
2. They don’t say the quiet part out loud. Those who want to fulminate about the Jews but lack the singular clout of Elon Musk still have plenty of options. They just need to be slightly more subtle about their prejudice. Take Tucker Carlson, once the most-watched man on cable news, who used his show to popularize a sanitized version of the same “Great Replacement” theory that Musk recently endorsed, which posits that Jewish elites are plotting to supplant the white race through the mass immigration of brown people. This white-supremacist fantasy motivated the 2018 massacre of worshippers at Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue, among other recent attacks. How did Carlson get such an unhinged idea on television? He repeated the anti-Semitic conspiracy theory—“They’re trying to change the population of the United States, and they hate it when you say that because it’s true, but that’s exactly what they’re doing”—but left out the word Jews and let the audience fill in the blank.
This time-honored technique provides even the most pointed prejudice with plausible deniability. In particular, whenever you see politicians or celebrities darkly ruminating about an amorphous “they” covertly controlling events, chances are good that you are seeing this strategy in action. Consider Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has led Turkey, a member of NATO, since 2003. In 2014, he began darkly referring to a “mastermind” behind the country’s ills:
Don’t be misled. Don’t think that these operations are against my persona, our government, our party. Friends, these operations are rather directed against Turkey itself—its unity, its peace, its economy, its independence. And as I have said before, behind all these steps there is a mastermind. People ask me, “Who is this mastermind?” Well, you have to figure that out. And actually, you know what it is.
Erdoğan was not talking about the Amish. His allies subsequently produced a movie titled The Mastermind, which aired on pro-government TV stations and helpfully opened with an image of a Star of David. “At every stage,” the Turkish commentator Mustafa Akyol wrote at the time, “the film reminds us how the Judaic ‘mastermind’ has oppressed humanity for thousands of years.” As Erdoğan has consolidated his essentially unchecked power, he has become more forthright in his anti-Semitism, and faced no international consequences.
3. They replace Jew with Zionist. In 1934, Representative Louis McFadden of Pennsylvania took to the floor of Congress to complain about Jewish control of the American financial system. “Is it not true,” he bemoaned, “that, in the United States today, the gentiles have the slips of paper while the Jews have the gold?” Today, this sort of rhetoric is frowned upon in polite society, but aspiring anti-Semites have a work-around: substituting each instance of Jews with Zionists or Israelis. Then: The Jews control the world. Now: The Zionists control the world.
With this simple switch, prejudice magically becomes mere criticism of Israel. Social-media companies won’t moderate it, and many activists will defend it. People can even make their anti-Semitic argument live on CNN, as Pakistan’s foreign minister did in 2021, when he claimed that Israel controls the media. In this manner, an ancient conspiracy theory is updated to appeal to partisans in the 21st century, many of whom will insist that they don’t have an anti-Semitic bone in their body. Of course, Zionism warrants critique like any other political ideology, but conspiracism is not criticism. This is what Martin Luther King Jr. was referring to when he said, “When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews. You’re talking anti-Semitism.”
One person who has mastered this maneuver is the supreme leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, the man responsible for the most anti-Jewish violence in the world today. In 2021, he posted on social media: “The Zionists have always been a plague, even before establishing the fraudulent Zionist regime. Even then, Zionist capitalists were a plague for the whole world. Now they’re a plague especially for the world of Islam.”
In case the references to rapacious capitalists and comparisons of people to disease didn’t give it away, Khamenei was also not talking about the Amish. He was taking garden-variety anti-Semitism, replacing the word Jews with Zionists, and relying on his audience being too dense or partisan to care. Similarly, when the Republican politician Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia posted a video on her Facebook page declaring that “Zionist supremacists” were “breeding us out of existence in our own homelands,” she was drawing from the same poisoned well. Coded language has always served to smuggle bigotry into the public discourse, and anti-Semitism is no exception.
4. They say they were just “supporting Palestine.” Earlier this month, the actor Susan Sarandon was dropped by her talent agency. It was a mostly symbolic gesture, because the celebrated performer continues to get work and others will be happy to represent her. But almost immediately, viral posts on social media viewed more than 50 million times claimed that she had been punished for her pro-Palestinian advocacy. This popular narrative had only one small flaw: It was false.
As Deadline reported, the words that got Sarandon in trouble were not about Palestinians or Israelis. At a rally in New York, home to the largest Jewish population outside Israel, the actor referred to rising anti-Semitism in America and declared, “There are a lot of people that are afraid, afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country.” In reality, since the FBI began tracking hate crimes, Jews have been subjected to more anti-religious attacks than all other groups combined, despite constituting just 2 percent of the American population. This includes the massacre at Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue, multiple synagogue shootings in California, and a Texas congregation being taken hostage in 2022. Erasing anti-Semitism and attempting to pit American Jews and Muslims against each other in some sort of debased oppression Olympics is not “support for Palestine.” It’s ignorance at best and malice at worst, which is why Deadline accurately headlined its story “UTA Drops Susan Sarandon as Client Following Recent Antisemitic Remarks She Made at a Rally in New York.”
On social media, none of this mattered. Sarandon was misleadingly cast as a martyr for the Palestinian cause and celebrated by a diverse array of notables, including the journalist Glenn Greenwald, the presidential candidate Cornel West, several prominent progressive activists, and even the head of a human-rights group. None of these people linked to or acknowledged the actual substance of Sarandon’s remarks, even when confronted by commenters who raised them. None has corrected their claims.
Sarandon apologized on Friday, two weeks after her original statement. But the sleight of hand others used to defend her—in which apologetics for anti-Jewish violence are disingenuously recast as Palestinian advocacy—is endemic to our current discourse. Last month, an activist told a public-radio journalist that he’d been receiving “50 hate calls an hour” over a pro-Palestinian speech he delivered at an October 8 rally. But what he actually did was explicitly cheer the murder of civilians and declare, “I salute Hamas—a job well done.” This fact appeared nowhere in the published story, which said only that he “spoke in support of Palestine.”
Pro-Palestinian activism is not the same as anti-Semitism, which is why it’s important that when people say bigoted things about Jews or support violence against them, their words should not be conflated with Palestinian advocacy. But unfortunately, too many anti-Semites wrap themselves in the Palestinian cause, and too many partisans are happy to let them do so. This does not help any Palestinians, as it tends to tar their cause with prejudice, but it does insulate a fair number of anti-Semites from the consequences of their words or actions. That’s why in recent weeks, many bigots have attempted to use the Palestinian plight as their alibi, vandalizing Jewish institutions around the world, including synagogues and kosher restaurants, with “Free Palestine” and related slogans.
Every community has biases—toward the rich and powerful, toward ideological allies—that lead it to excuse bad behavior it would otherwise repudiate. But such excuses for prejudice work only because we allow them to. Covert anti-Semitism tends to turn into overt anti-Semitism. Until we start seriously confronting the former, we can expect more of the latter.

3:00 AM Cant sleep since 1:50, been tossing and turning since 11.
Even one drink now seems enough to completely mess up my sleep cycle, or could also be due to the massive stress I'm under a work and at home and the alcohol dehydration.
Recently been reading the EasyWay to Quit X books again for sugar/tech but probably should for alcohol too.
Realizing all my addictions - sugar, tech(social media, streaming, porn if I'm being completely honest), alcohol, caffeine, all function the same way. Though some have more social acceptability than others it all breaks down like
1. I have a problem in my life (work stress like a deadline, personal stress like an unexpected $1000 bill)
2. I think using something will help me feel better even if I know it's just temporarily.
3. I use the thing, and maybe I do for a moment feel ok.*
4. The high of whatever I've done has worn off, my problem persists, and now I feel worse off due to the after effects of using which can be physical or just a loss of respect for myself for coping poorly again.
* and the feeling of may just be the relieving of withdrawals from the last time I used depending on how frequently I am doing it. Or just comfort from doing something that has become habit.
At this point in my life drinking, especially like a random post work drink, doesn't make me feel good, it makes me wonder why I'm doing this. At special occasions like a wedding/birthday it feels different but the drinking for nothing other than stress relief after a hard day seems to do more harm than good at this point especially if I can't sleep. Same with sugar. Same with doom scrolling. Same with smoking weed when I did it.
Thankful I have been able to remain off the weed at least. I think in certain ways I've grown more these past 9 months sans smoking than I did the past 10 years. It stunted me emotionally terribly so and now I feel as though so are these remaining items stunting me in some way too.
My plan going forward for today at least:
I am out of unhealthy leftovers. I'll buy a salad for lunch and leftover steak/vegetables for dinner. No sugar.
I'll limit myself to one coffee this morning.
Try to read more. Try to stay off screens when I get home. Really just anything but screens, I stare at them all day already for a job.
I have a bottle of good whisky. I have some friends coming in from out of state this weekend. I will share with them and dump whatever is not finished.
I liked myself so much better and felt so much better, more energy, focus, better sleep, when I quit drinking too during Lent / post Easter to mother's day, and staying keto. I want to get back to there.

Okay @subiysu-chan for some reason I can't answer normally because your ask formats in a weird way and I can't read it.
It's gonna be loong
1. Honestly, that really depends on the feminist. The most marketable to social media is of course the "decinstruct everything" type of leftism, but actually most people don't think like that irl. My country is considered conservative, though there's at least 5 (prob more) lgbtq people in my class and a lot of young people hold leftist beliefs, and almost all of them treat the deconstruction/anarchism/communism/kink as memes and don't take it seriously. We're 17-18 for reference.
And yes, feminism is depressing. I consider myself someone with feminist views (though not a feminist bcs I'm not an activist), and learning about rape, domestic violence, pay gap, abortions of baby girls and the lack of female body autonomy is very depressing. I wish I can have the strength to fight it one day. I don't think deconstructing family values is a core trait of feminism, but I do think it's a byproduct, since a big chunk female oppression relays on marriage. That's why divorce laws, financial independence, men knowing that marriage doesn't equal always consenting to sex, etc... are so important. So a byproduct of that will be less marriages, less kids. I know you're particularly against total sexual liberation, and I agree that it can be harmful sometimes, especially by making nsfw available to little kids. Above 15-16 I think it doesn't do much harm, unless it's like degrading porn, but I've heard of 12 year old boys who watch torture porn, so that's definitely fucked up. But that's not the goal of feminism, that's probably what leftist men think it is since they get more access to women by making sex only a commodity. Tbh I think sex buyers, especially those who actually pay to rape people, should be castrated lmao but that's a bit unrelated. I agree that complete deconstruction shouldn't happen, and it won't. It's just that... the past was very prudish, so now there's a pushback against that in the form of the sexual revolution. People are confused and often experience a Madonna-whore complex, too, so they rebel more by being more out there with the sexuality.
Stuff like homosexual attraction have been villainized, and instead of going "sex with and attraction to and love towards the same sex are morally neutral", they go "yeah suck my d conservatives i am the degenerate!!" which is very cathartic (I went through that phase on the internet help), but ultimately unhelpful. Same with bringing kink to pride parades?? Like no one wants to see your bare ass and cat ears, dude?? There are minors and people who don't wanna see your kinks. It's not fighting the Madonna-whore distinction, it's just choosing to be the whore instead of Madonna. I'm gonna blame social media and people who want to sow discord for political gains.
2. I'd love to read that and I don't see anything inappropriate with it. If you mean like aftermath of torture, there's a lot of it on tumblr already and people of all ages and backgrounds write that stuff. Unless there's something inappropriate I'm unaware of. But tbh, torture itself is very nsfw. Has a bad vibe. I mean, a naked man, tied up, being all vulnerable to another man... or maybe I just romanticize violence, again. But yeah, it's easy to misinterpret as kink content, but anyone with common sense should know it's not for kink as long as you don't describe them doing... well, sex.
3. I will but in a separate post since this one got quite political.

Hi MT, maybe you or one of your followers are able to answer that. If a big acc with a social media manager or team, posts something, are they tracking their gain in followers or traffic directly? Sometimes they react immediately (like Valhalla last week), sometimes they continue as if nothing has happened.
Are they only checking if they got more followers or are they also checking if they lost a bunch and gained new ones? Again, it's about the Valhalla account who lost quite a few Carylers but gained ultimately more followers with Antis.
The official TWD account posted about friendship bracelets and 2/3 in the replies has M or R profile pics making fun of Caryl/Carol.
At this point, no one can tell me that's their strategy because obviously, it's out of control.
Why is no one reacting?
Depends on a lot of factors (type of company, account, follower count, engagement rate etc). Based on the types of posts TWDU accounts have, they're not really trying to "grow" their following. The companies behind the accounts already have a strong presence and big following.
Based on their posts, the social media accounts seem like they aren't meant to generate followers, but rather warm up the audience they have by encouraging engagement and promoting whichever show is coming up.
Different spinoffs means the core audience of the flagship show has been fragmented into 3 pieces.
*Caryl fans *Maggie and Negan fans *Richonne fans
Each group has their own distinct marketing strategy and all the strategies are going in opposite directions because all the fans are unique. Because TOWL just ended and we're heading into TBOC, the overlap is jarring. TBOC has had virtually no marketing through official channels, and it looks like they're currently promoting TOWL merch, so TBOC fans are getting whiplash.
Whoever is handling the SM is either recycling a strategy that no longer works after 2022 because of everything that happened with the original spinoff, or they're genuinely unaware of fandom dynamics and don't realize that they cannot afford to lose faith with TBOC's core audience, which... they kinda just did? Whatever the case is, it's baffling.
You can't please both audiences. Because one audience cheers when Carol is erased and Caryl is invalidated as a ship while TBOC's core audience want to raise Carol up and want Caryl's relationship to transition into the romance they've earned.
AMC/TWDU should be catering to the needs of the most reliable fanbases for each show, not just TWD community in general for every show because that won't give them numbers. In this case, we're talking about a Carol and Daryl show, so the audience most likely to keep tuning in are Carol and Daryl fans. The focus should be getting all of them on board which means being aware of shared desires as well as possible triggers. Pushing the friendship narrative is a big one at the moment because of how forceful it is. It's telling us how we, Daryl and Carol fans, are "supposed to" view their relationship instead of leaving room for what we, Daryl and Carol fans investing in a Daryl and Carol show, want it to be.
Like I said before, the SM engagement isn't the most reliable at the moment because a lot of fans are in survival mode. For some, that means deflecting to something more positive and for others, that means avoiding potentially harmful environments altogether and that post definitely generated a harmful environment where fighting was likely to break out.
The whole point of promoting a show is to build hype. If a significant portion of their target audience is feeling distressed, frustrated, or wary, they're doing it wrong. If their promotion is getting mixed reactions and/or attracting a conflicting market, they're doing it wrong.
