I was expecting my family to come home right about now, so when I heard the doorbell ringing repeatedly, I opened it while making cutesy cheery talk for my toddler like awww lookit the bell going ring-ring, who could it possibly be...
It was a door-to-door postcard salesman.

pairing: virgin!fratboy!han jisung x best friend!reader
summary: jisung's fraternity brothers decide to pool their money and surprise him with a stripper for his birthday! nice gesture and all, but that stripper just so happens to be his best friend...
warnings: swearing, a little bit of mention of stigma towards sex workers at the end, smut (18+ ; minors dni)
additional warnings: lap dancing, dry humping
word count: 3k
Jisung’s blood ran cold as he stared at you from the opposite side of the room. A similar look of shock graced your features for a moment but it was quickly replaced by a smile, a fake one if Jisung had ever seen one.
To be fair he had imagined this exact scenario- you in lingerie, standing in the middle of his living room- hundreds of times. But in those fantasies, the room wasn’t also full of a dozen or so of his friends.
When Jisung’s fraternity brothers told him they had a “surprise” for his birthday he knew it couldn’t be anything good but he certainly hadn’t been expecting his best friend to be the hired... entertainment for the party he hadn’t even wanted.
“Should we leave them alone?” Minho, one of the older boys, teases.
“We don’t get to watch?” Jeongin whines.
“Nah, Hannie’s too shy for that.”
“That, and we only bought a private dance because it was the cheapest option,” Chris mutters under his breath, hopefully not loud enough for you to hear.
“Let’s go into the other room, then,” Hyunjin says, finally drawing all of the attention away from you. “The others are waiting for us and we haven’t finished mixing all the drinks yet. The birthday boy can join us later.”
There’s some grumbling as the boys shuffle out of the room but they do make their exit, leaving you alone with Jisung.
You’re the first to break the silence. “Happy birthday?” you offer with an awkward chuckle.
“This is why you couldn’t come tonight?”
“I was going to join later!” you correct him. “But yes, this is why I was going to be late.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I told you I had to work! I didn’t know it was you!”
“They didn’t... give you my name or anything?” Jisung realizes as he’s speaking that he doesn’t really know how your client intake works. Is there a form they fill out? Or do they just Venmo you and give you an address? Surely not, right? That would be dangerous. There had to be more to it than that.
“They called you ‘Late Bloomer’,” you mutter, staring at the floor. “Said I’d know you when I saw you.”
Jisung’s cheeks burned and he scoffs. “Ironic. Yeah, that’s what the guys call me because they know, um, about...”
“You don’t have to say it!” you blurt. “I already know. That’s a really mean nickname.”
“All the pledges get nicknames like that,” he sighs. “Sometimes they don’t wear off after initiation.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah.”
You had taken a couple of steps closer to where he was sitting while you talked but you were still several feet apart.
“Uh, well did you still want me to-”
“No!” Jisung shouts, cringing when he hears himself. “No, oh my god. You don’t have to do that.”
“I mean, it’s what I’m getting paid to do,” you point out. “Do you want your brothers’ money to go to waste?”
“I don’t give a fuck about their money.”
“So you don’t want me to?”
He’s sweating now. He feels it on his brow. “No, no. I don’t want you to be uncomfortable.”
And I don’t want to cum my pants the minute you sit on my lap.
You laugh. “Nothing can be more uncomfortable than what just happened in front of your, uh, friends.”
You had a point. “You don’t think it’ll make things... weird?” Jisung asks.
You shrug. “Things are already weird, aren’t they? But if you don’t want me to, I'll go get dressed and we can join the rest of them at the party.”
“It’s not that I don’t want you to!” Jisung clarifies. “I mean, I’ve always been curious about... how your sessions go, like what happens and stuff, but I don’t want you to feel like you have to or that I want you to if that makes sense. Like I don’t want you to think I’m a creep-”
“Jisung.”
“Huh?”
“Instead of a real dance, why don’t I just demonstrate for you? Show you what I do, like you said?”
That didn’t sound too dangerous.
“O-ok. You don’t have to do it on me, though. You can just, like, use a chair?”
You give him a small smile and nod. “Sure.”
There are lots of chairs to choose from but you pick the closest and drag it in front of where Jisung is sitting. You spin it so that the back is facing him and then run to get something from the bag that you’d dropped by the door when you came in.
Jisung tries not to look at your ass as you bend down and rifle through the tote, training his eyes on the ceiling instead. He’d already been struggling not to get hard this whole time and it was about to get a whole lot harder, metaphorically and literally.
You come back with a speaker and set it up on the floor under the chair.
“Usually I put on some music,” you explain. “I’ll sit on the guy’s lap and ask him what he likes to listen to.” You sit sideways on the chair and cross your legs, pretending like there’s a man underneath you. “Whatever he says doesn’t matter to me, though. I just pick whatever I want to dance to and pretend his answer influenced my decision so he feels like he gets to have a say in the matter. Men like to feel special like that.”
Jisung nods along. You look up to check that he’s following before moving on.
“Then I’ll stand back up, like this, and start dancing. Most girls dance in front of them first, to make them want it more. I used to get really self-conscious about that part because it feels silly to me but it really pays off in the end.”
Jisung gulps and nods again. He watches you sink to your knees and arch backward, spreading your thighs wider as your back touches the floor. He had no idea you were so flexible, no idea you could move like that, though he supposes he should have assumed considering you literally do this for a living.
“And then right before I get back on his lap I’ll take off my top. Usually, it’s like a bra or something but sometimes I’m wearing a bodysuit and I’ll just pull it down.”
He doesn’t expect you to actually do it but you do. You reach behind yourself and pull on the ribbon holding the corset you were wearing together until it unravels and you can take it off.
Jisung immediately averts his eyes, going as far as shielding his vision with a hand.
“Oh my god!”
He hears you laughing. “They’re just boobs.”
Yeah, your boobs.
“I thought you wanted me to show you how I usually do it,” you chide.
Jisung hesitantly turns his head to face you again. He stares you right in the eyes, pointedly ignoring everything below your neck. “I didn’t think you would actually, um, strip.”
Your teasing smile falters. “Do you want me to put it back on? I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”
“No! You don’t have to. I’m not uncomfortable.” You look like you don’t believe him so he adds, “I just wanted to be respectful and stuff, you know?”
You roll your eyes. “You’re sweet. I’m honestly surprised you haven’t seen me topless before. We’ve known each other for so long.”
Jisung is in so much pain. “Haha, yeah me too.”
You approach the chair and straddle it like you would if someone was actually sitting there. Since there isn’t, you fold your arms on the back of it and rest your chin on your wrists.
“I always lay some ground rules before I start, even if they’re a regular.”
“Ground rules?” Jisung asks.
You nod. “They’re not allowed to touch me whatsoever. I’ll touch them unless they request otherwise, but only on the face and the shoulders, sometimes the chest. I’m not going to grope them or anything like that, even though I am grinding on them.” You demonstrate with the air, pretending to cup someone’s face and bring it closer to yours before pushing them away. “The whole thing is essentially just teasing someone for however long they booked me for.”
“Are there any other rules?” Jisung asks, trying to seem engaged and eager to learn more about your profession instead of focusing on how you’re riding that chair.
“Yeah, one of my biggest rules is that the client has to stay fully clothed the whole time. There are exceptions like if they’re wearing a tie, I might loosen it or undo it. I’ve worn their ties myself once or twice.”
“Has anyone ever, um,” he pauses.
You cock your head to the side in intrigue. “Has anyone ever what?”
“Has anyone ever like, cum? While you’re doing that?”
“It’s happened before. But they usually try not to because they’d have to pay me more. It’s in my contract. It’s also really embarrassing for them and it’s unsanitary- I won’t get into the details but it’s not very common.”
It definitely would have happened to Jisung if he had gone through with it. Honestly, it would probably happen if anyone were to give him a lap dance, but if it was you? He wouldn’t stand a chance.
“But it’s normal for guys to get, like, hard, right?”
“Oh yeah, that’s pretty much guaranteed. Anyone would get turned on if someone was grinding on them. Sometimes it happens before I’m even on their lap, like you’re hard right now and I haven’t even touched you.”
“Wha-” Jisung’s neck snaps as he looks to confirm what he already knows to be true. He rushes to cover the bulge in his pants with his hands even though it’s way too late for that. “Fuck, I didn’t- it doesn’t-”
You brush it off. “Don’t worry, Ji. It’s a perfectly normal reaction to seeing something arousing. It means I’m good at my job.”
“No, but I’m your best friend! God, you must feel so objectified and weird...”
“Jisung, I promise I don’t feel weird or objectified. Is this too weird for you? Do you want to stop?”
“I- uh, I don’t know,” he admits. Obviously he likes what he sees, his hard dick pressing against the zipper of his jeans is proof enough of that. But he’s also never felt so embarrassed in his life. It feels so... wrong of him to be taking advantage of the situation like this. He should have taken up your offer to go join the rest of his brothers at the party because now he’s fucked. He’s a weak, weak man.  “Are you sure you’re okay with... it?”
“Of course,” you assure him. “That’s the point of this birthday present anyway.”
Maybe, but it wasn’t supposed to be a present from you. Jisung is so overwhelmed by thoughts and emotions that he can’t even focus on what you’re doing anymore. He zones out, willing his erection to go down until he remembers that he’s supposed to be paying attention. He’s supposed to be learning.
“So I go back and forth between grinding on the guy and dancing in front of him so it doesn’t get too intimate, and then towards the end I usually- fuck, it’s kind of hard to do when there isn’t someone actually here.” He watches you stand up and approach him. “Do you mind if I just....” you trail off expectantly.
Are you asking what Jisung thinks you’re asking? Is whatever it is you’re trying to show him so important that you need to torture him further?
“If you just what?”
“If I sit on your lap for this part? It’ll be quick, I swear.”
“Go ahead,” Jisung says before he can argue with himself.
He had already dug his grave, he might as well bury himself too.
You take a deep breath before placing a hand on each of his shoulders for balance and lowering yourself onto his lap. His legs are spread a bit so they’re kind of awkward to straddle but you’re used to it so it’s easy to adjust.
“Wow, you are hard,” you breathe out, laughing a little.
Jisung wants to die. He takes a deep breath of his own and steels himself before asking, “what was it that you wanted to show me?”
Your eyes light up like you had forgotten why you were sitting on him in the first place. “Oh, right. I put the music on a timer to fade out at the end of the session so when that happens I’ll grab the guy’s face like this,” you take Jisung by the cheeks and squeeze so that he’s forced to open his mouth.
He wonders briefly if you’re about to spit in his mouth but to his disappointment you make him bite down on a piece of paper instead. He furrows his eyebrows in confusion and reaches up to pluck whatever it is from between his lips.
“What is this?”
“My business card!” you exclaim. “Smart right? I wanted to do something memorable and so far it’s gotten over fifty percent of my clients to become repeat customers.”
Jisung snorts. “Yeah, it’s definitely that and not the fact that you’re hot and have your tits out.”
“It’s all part of the sell,” you joke.
“Well, I can see why you’re working all the time,” Jisung quips. “You’re very good at what you do.”
“I’m glad you think so.”
“Of course I do.”
“I’m just sorry I ruined your birthday present,” you sigh.
Jisung frowns. “What do you mean? You didn’t ruin it.”
“Yeah, I did! If your friends had hired someone else you would have gotten a real lap dance, not... an instructional.”
“I didn’t even know that’s what I was supposed to be getting! I didn’t know they had hired anyone!”
“Still, it could have been fun.”
“No, this was fun. I’m glad it was you.”
The worry line between your eyebrows softens and you smile fondly at him, making Jisung’s stomach do a somersault. Out of everything that had happened tonight, that was what affected him the most.
He doesn’t know how much time passes but suddenly your expression changes. Your gaze shifts from relaxed to focused as you sit up and lean in, closer and closer until your nose is pressed to his. Jisung doesn’t want to speak. He doesn’t want to break the spell. His fists clench and unclench repeatedly at his sides. He’s desperate to touch you, to wrap his arms around your waist and pull you to him, but he won’t break your rule unless you give him permission.
You break it for him, grabbing his hands and placing them on your hips.
“Is this okay?” you whisper.
He nods, his forehead knocking against yours. “Yeah.”
“Are you sure?”
“Positive.”
You swallow hard, eyes searching his for something he isn’t sure he has. “Can I kiss you?”
“Please.”
Jisung has fantasized about this moment countless times and not a single one compares to it. Your lips are soft and warm and you taste like that chapstick you always keep in your pocket. Jisung recognizes it immediately because he’s borrowed it more than a few times.
You moan and run a hand through his hair, pulling at the ends. It’s gotten a lot longer recently but you seem to like it. In fact, part of the reason he hasn’t cut it yet is because you keep complimenting the way he’s been styling it. He wonders if you like how it feels between your fingers.
To his own surprise, Jisung is the first to use tongue. He feels your lips part and uses the opportunity to slide his tongue between them like you had with your business card. You moan again and this time you grind down on his lap for real.
It catches you both off guard. Jisung’s hips follow the movement of yours, chasing your heat even when you lift yourself off of him in a panic.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to-”
“Don’t be,” he murmurs, trying to hide a smug grin, “it’s a perfectly normal reaction.”
Your eyes narrow at him. “I guess I deserved that.”
“Mhm- mph!” You kiss him before he can get another word out, this time shoving your tongue in his mouth.
Now that you know it’s okay to grind on him, you don’t hold back. You seem so eager. If Jisung didn’t know better he’d think this had been your plan all along.
“God, baby,” he whimpers, shocked at how shattered his own voice sounds. “This feels so good but if you don’t stop I’m gonna-” he can’t bring himself to say it. “I’m not going to last.”
You slow down and lift your head from the crook of his shoulder. “Do you want to stop?”
He shakes his head. “I don’t know how far you’re okay with going but...”
“We can go as far as you want, Ji. You’re the one...” you don’t finish the sentence but Jisung knows what you’re implying. It isn’t hard to guess. It’s why he’d been given that stupid nickname freshman year.
“You’d... you’d want me in that way?” he asks. He’s almost afraid of the answer because he doesn’t think you feel the same way about him. Even if you are down to fuck, he doesn’t think it’s because you have a big giant crush on him like he does you. Maybe you’re just horny or maybe you’d be doing it as a favor.
“Of course.” It’s not an answer that quells the burning questions he’s been holding onto since he met you but it does enough to temper the flames a bit. You want him. It’s enough. “But... you don’t care that your first time would be with a stripper?”
He knows that’s not what you mean. He knows you’re worried that he feels like it’s inorganic. That it’s part of the job you had been hired to do. But he knows the truth. That isn’t what it is at all.
He shakes his head. “My first time would be with my best friend. There’s no one else I’d rather it be with.”
lmk what you think i always appreciate feedback!!

Tumblr media
“…when you put your body on mine, and collide, collide…”
"SNEAK INTO MY ROOM TONIGHT."
Spencer’s gaping mouth was an indication of how baffling her suggestion was. He tried not to give away the disbelief in his eyes, especially when he was good at maintaining a poker face—given he was a master of the game—but it was hard to act as if her words weren’t affecting him. And they did. Badly.
In fairness, it wasn't simply her words that stirred him. It was everything about her. The way she carried herself, the way she stood in front of him, a silhouette against the backdrop of crashing waves and gently swaying palm trees. The way the sun illuminated her features, highlighting the curve of her smile and the sparkle in her eyes.
But it was her words that heightened his senses as his mind conjured vivid images of what would happen with her proposition. It also reminded him how her suggestive offer happened at an inappropriate time, a moment when he should have exercised restraint.
"I'll leave the door unlocked," her sultry voice, carried by the gentle wind, reached his ears like a melodic symphony. It was a sound that evoked a longing deep within him. "Come by around midnight."
He gulped as his eyes wandered to their teammates gathered by the shore, engaged in a spirited game of beach volleyball, their competitive spirits matched by bursts of laughter and playful banter. Everyone was there except for Rossi who sat under the shade of a massive umbrella, and of course, excluding the two of them, who were now huddled under a food stall nearby.
Spencer had the duty to bring in more snacks and drinks when Y/n offered her help. It turned out she had other intentions behind her assistance, which was anything but innocent with the way she was standing close to him, bringing up their ongoing rendezvous without their friends' knowledge. At the thought of this, he nodded their way. "They'll notice."
"Not when they're fast asleep they won't."
His eyes drew back to her. "Hotch is a late sleeper."
"You're right," she mused, then she gave him a coy smile. "Come by my room around 2 then."
His eyes darted around nervously, his mind locked in a relentless battle between reason and longing. His thoughts swirled in a whirlwind of forbidden fantasies, each one more tantalizing than the last. With a heavy sigh, he gathered the strength to resist the pull of his desires. "Do you think we should do this?"
She cocked an eyebrow at him. "I'm offering you to sleep with me and you're opposed to the idea?"
"What? No!" He quickly shook his head. "I didn't mean it that way."
She fixed her eyes on him with an alluring gaze, her lips curved into a mischievous smile. He watched as she removed the plastic wrapper of her recently bought popsicle, pulling out the frozen treat, her fingers moving with deliberate slowness.
"Loosen up, Reid. It'll be fun. Besides," she continued as she drew the ice pop closer to her lips, feeling the coolness radiate from the icy surface. "I brought something along this trip that I really want to show you."
Then he watched her, his eyes drinking in the way she wrapped her lips around the cold treat, unraveling the boundaries of his imagination. She savored the tangy sweetness that burst in her mouth, her eyes never leaving his gaze. The bright red juice trickled down her chin, leaving a sticky trail in its wake and Spencer felt the weight of temptation pressing upon him, especially when her tongue slid along her mouth, capturing every last drop of the delicious treat.
Her movement exuded a potent magnetism, a subtle yet irresistible lure that drew him closer to the edge of indulgence. He would be a fool to decline a night of having her sweaty, naked body writhing under him.
"I'll be there."
And that was how he found himself walking stealthily through their rented villa hours later.
True to his words, Hotch was a late sleeper. But he wasn't the only one still awake in the dead of the night. Somehow he and Rossi were still in the kitchen, indulging themselves in the expensive liquor Rossi had brought along on this retreat. They had also invited him to join, but Spencer feigned fatigue and quickly excused himself, only to find Morgan and Garcia coming down the stairs as he climbed up to the second floor.
Now it was barely past midnight and half of the team was still wide awake—but he couldn't wait any longer. Not when the curiosity of what she wanted to show him fueled the fire within him, intensifying his longing with each passing second.
That was why he was making his way toward her room as stealthy as possible. He glanced down the dim-lit hallway before stopping right in front of her door. It was then he heard the faint shuffling noises coming from the room next door, certain it was Emily's lodging for the night. Then suddenly the door next to him rattled and Spencer's eyes widened as the adrenaline coursed through his veins, his heartbeat quickening its pace.
He reached out in a single fluid motion, his hand trembling ever so slightly, and grasped the cool metal handle in front of him. A rush of relief washed over him as he quickly slipped into the room before closing the door harshly amid his panic, a jarring thud echoing in the silence.
The sudden sound jolted Y/n as she twirled around in surprise.
"Reid," she hissed, her eyes darting toward the clock on the wall. "What are you doing? I told you to come by in another two hours!"
He looked over to her, and whatever thoughts he had at that fleeting moment completely dissolved into thin air. His eyes fell upon her and his words become entangled in a tangled web of astonishment. Spencer had seen her in clothes that weren't exactly modest, but he had never seen her adorned in a risqué outfit that accentuates every contour of her body.
The dress clung to her like a second skin, embracing her curves with a provocative grace, tracing the outline of her waist and hips with tantalizing precision. His eyes caressed the gentle slope of her shoulders, the smooth expanse of her collarbone, and the delicate neckline that plunged daringly. The delicate lace and sheer panels teased his senses, offering glimpses of beauty that lay beneath the surface—a beauty he could see a fragment of as his gaze lingered on her hard nipples pressed against the see-through fabric.
"Is that—" He cleared his throat, the hoarseness in his voice sounding foreign to him. "Is that what you wanted to show me?"
She looked into the full-body mirror she stood before by the bed, catching her reflection. "Technically. I brought a bunch of these and I was trying them on..." Her eyes drew back to him. "Until you came sooner than expected."
"Should I not be here now?"
"It kind of ruins the surprise."
His eyes slowly roamed across her body, stopping a little longer on the short hem of her fabric that stopped in the middle of her thigh. "I'd say you've accomplished whatever reaction you were aiming for."
She watched as he took a slow step forward, his eyes never wavered from her, locked onto her form with an intensity that had her feeling breathless. "I take it that you like this one?"
"I love it."
An amused smile formed on her lips. "But you haven't seen the other ones I brought."
"I'm certain I would also love them on you. But this—" His gaze revealed the depths of his desire, a hunger that burned bright within him. It was a flame that flickered in his eyes, igniting the anticipation that coursed through his veins. "Never knew I liked the color red."
As he took deliberate steps towards her, a surge of anticipation gripped her being. The intensity of his gaze, filled with longing and need, held her captive. With each stride, he closed the distance between them, his presence growing stronger, more intoxicating. She could feel his gaze caressing her, leaving a trail of heat and anticipation.
As he finally stood before her, the weight of his presence wrapped around her like a warm embrace. Visibly heaving and clenching her thighs, she peered at him with veiled anticipation, unbidden lust scorching at her core which lost all battle to and demanded to be consumed by the heat that radiated from his body. She could feel the intensity of his need, tangible and potent.
"You're beautiful," he said, reaching for her waist, both of his thumbs lightly rubbing along the material of the soft fabric. Then his hands slowly slid their way up her hips, gradually snaking their way up over her rib cage until both of his large palms paused at her breasts. "So fucking beautiful."
Then he squeezed her breasts roughly over the material and she gasped, thighs tightening together.
Y/n wasn't sure which reason she was surprised more, the way his touch was rougher than usual or the fact that he was cursing, because there were only two occasions for that to happen—either he was really, really mad, or he was far too aroused to properly filter his mouth.
It was definitely the latter considering she could distinctly see the bulge forming in his pants. And then his hands were quickly sliding down her body, gliding down over the curve of her ass. Feeling his fingers splay wide over each cheek beneath the fabric, he abruptly gave her a firm squeeze.
The way they stood in front of the mirror gave him a clear view of her backside as he marveled at the way her flesh molded in his grip. The tips of his fingers grazed her skin, the fabric having ridden up while he roughly kneaded her ass. Spencer almost purred when both of his hands fully slipped under the material only to be greeted with bare skin.
"Are you not wearing anything under this?" he whispered into her ear, the tip of his nose nuzzling into her cheek.
"It's called a thong."
He took a step closer and she could feel his arousal pressing into her leg. His forehead dropped down to her shoulder, resting there as his nails lightly dug into the flesh beneath his hands. "You want to torture me, don't you?"
She couldn't stop the giggle falling from her mouth. "Maybe."
He lifted his head, gently nipping at her shoulder. A shudder ran down her spine when he lightly kissed the spot afterward. "Laugh all you want now," he softly murmured against her skin. "You won't be able to laugh by the end of tonight."
She closed her eyes, allowing herself to surrender completely to his caresses, to the raw intensity that pulsed in her veins. "Spence."
The way she pronounced his given name held a power that transcended the ordinary, leaving him spellbound. "I love it when you call my name."
She felt a surge of confidence in his words that she let out a moan a she threw her head back, giving him better access while he gently peppered her neck with kisses. "Spencer."
Then it happened in a flash. One moment he was holding her gently and the next thing she knew, rough fingers gripped around the base of her throat, forcing her to look into the depths of his eyes. She could sense the unyielding force of his longing and desire. It was a palpable energy, a hunger that radiated from him, enveloping her in its intensity. She squirmed in his grip, mouth open as she gasped for air.
"Now you're just playing with fire."
She sensed the dominance that simmered beneath his touch, an innate desire to take control, to possess her completely. His hands, firm yet gentle, left trails of sensation along her skin, marking her as his own. It was a force that she couldn't ignore, nor did she want to. Instead, she surrendered to the raw power of his need, allowing it to wash over her.
"I must warn you," he murmured, licking across his bottom lip. "I'm not feeling like my usual self tonight."
She felt a shiver of anticipation ripple through her body. His words, laced with a commanding tone, sent a jolt of electricity straight to her core.
"You trust me, don't you?" She found herself nodding in agreement. "And you'll tell me if I'm being too much on you?"
She nodded again.
A satisfied smile played on his lips. "Good."
Then his breath was on hers. Their lips finally met in a gentle, tentative union, the soft brush of skin against skin. It was a delicate dance, a mingling of breath and desire that sent ripples of sensation throughout their bodies. She gasped out a moan, not expecting the enthusiastic way he devoured her, rolling her lips into the frantic motions of his wandering tongue.
As their bodies pressed closer, their mouths molded together with a hunger that defied words. It was a sensory feast, an exploration of pleasure that left them craving for more.
He slowly pulled away and breathed against her lips, "Turn for me."
Her hazy mind was trying to comprehend his request. "W-What?"
"I want to see you. Turn around for me."
She obliged his command without further thought, mostly because she was already willingly surrendered to the force of his dominant nature.
He stood behind her, his gaze fixated on the reflection before him. The soft glow of the ambient light accentuated her curves, casting a mesmerizing aura around her. His fingertips grazed the smooth surface of her arm, a gentle caress that sent shivers of anticipation coursing through her body. "Look at how beautiful you are."
He watched himself in the mirror as his hands made their way from caressing the softness of her stomach to gripping onto points of her hips and then up over the swells of her breasts. He gave them both a firm squeeze, admiring how they looked in his hands, how her skin radiates beneath his own. Then his lips descended upon the nape of her neck, pressing gentle kisses that left a trail of fire.
She whimpered when he pinched gently at her nipples to see it harden instantly against his touch. "...Spence."
He hummed a satisfied sound as his hands found their way back to her hips again, directing her with a low, sultry groan, "Sit down between my legs." Her eyes snapped towards his through the reflection. He simply smiled. "Don't worry. Just let me admire you."
That was how she ended up sitting in front of him on the bed, her back resting against his chest. Spencer carefully nudged her legs apart with his hand, and she couldn't resist looking away when she saw herself in such an explicit and vulnerable position. His breath, warm against her skin, mingled with the scent of her arousal, creating a heady atmosphere of desire. "I thought you wanted me to admire you in this outfit?"
Her eyes were brought back to the mirror. "I do."
"Then watch me while I do exactly just that."
He didn't leave her time to react because his fingers were already trailing around to feel over her stomach, across the dip of her navel, up and down the thickness of her thighs until they stopped between her legs. She could see herself clearly. The slick fabric of her thong was already a second skin to her, sticking against her arousal which barely covered her sex. Then his fingers moved deliberately slow as he grabbed onto the flimsy material, gently knitting it together in his hand before pulling it up along her wet folds.
Oh my god.
The friction startled her as she felt an unfamiliar pain while he continued to tug on the fabric, but at the same time, she felt a surge of arousal as it nudged against her clit. She was lost in this feeling, of him grinding the material against her core, of the view of her legs spread wide open in the mirror, of his ragged voice breathing in her ear... it was all too much.
And when she thought she couldn't take more of the pleasure building up in her body, he proved her wrong by pushing her thong aside, finally exposing her flesh in the open. The second his fingers slipped into the pooling wetness of her folds, spreading them open for himself to see, she couldn't help but let out a moan louder than she intended to.
"Shh," he cooed, his breath hot against her skin. "We don't want the others to know what we're doing, do we?"
She shook her head helplessly, watching as his fingers continued their exploration. She could already feel him harden with each steady, rhythmic beat of his heart while his fingers explored her, collecting the slick of her arousal before spreading it along her folds. His voice was a bit louder this time, the filthy words echoing in her clouded mind, "You like this, don't you? Look how fucking wet you're getting."
There went another curse word and somehow it managed to peak her arousal. There really was something about being the reason for him to act this way, so primal and dominant, so crude and demanding. His voice, deep and resonant, carried an authority that sent shivers of anticipation cascading through her body. It was a voice that commanded attention, demanding her full submission to his desires.
"Do you wanna see how my fingers look inside you?" He was taunting her now, teasing his fingers around the entrance of her like a twisted, evil game.
One of her hands gripped his thigh, the need to be pleasured so strong in her core that she couldn't help but cry out desperately. "Spencer, please...please."
He gently laughed at her despair, the throaty sound made her shiver. She let out a soft whimper when he finally gave her desperate pleas by sliding his middle finger into her.
Her eyes rolled at the back of her head before she instinctively closed her eyes. "Fuck..."
It wasn't long before his other hand gripped her chin, forcing her to open her eyes. "Keep your eyes open or I'll stop," he groaned into her ear. This alone almost sent her teetering right over the edge, just feeling his finger locked inside her. She settled to watch how his hand flexed as he began to slowly pump his finger in and out of her before adding another to stretch her out.
The bedroom was quickly filled with the lewd sound of his fingers plunging into her, suddenly moving at a crazy, mind-numbing pace as he curled them the way he knew would make her weak.
Her throbbing heat swallowed his fingers greedily as she caught a glimpse of them in the mirror, the only sounds echoing in their shared space were the hard breathings and low noises of her wetness and his fingers finding that sweet spot relentlessly. Spencer gently placed a kiss on her cheek and pressed his palm against her clit, feeling her body jolt in pleasure as he moved his hand.
She turned her head towards him, her lips capturing his in a needy kiss. He swallowed all her whimpers and bit her bottom lip before her tongue slid inside his mouth, sloppy and rough, and yet he wouldn't have it any other way. The closer she was reaching her high, the more intense the movements of his fingers became. She let out a gasp when the coil in her stomach tightened her core.
"Keep your voice down," he whispered, his fingers still driving in and out of her. "Don't worry, I got you. I got you."
She did her best to try to drag her focus back to their reflection through her fogged daze from her heavy, closing lids. The sight of him withdrawing his soaked fingers from her to circle changing patterns across her clit elicited a symphony of sighs and gasps, a testament to the depths of her pleasure. She could feel his breath against her skin, warm and tantalizing, as he placed gentle kisses along the nape of her neck.
"Spence...I'm so close," she sighed between heavy pants.
He nodded against her. "I can feel you. Let go for me. I want to see you."
She closed her eyes, ready to simply enjoy the thrilling and wonderful feelings of the pleasure he was bringing to her. When she was about to reach for her high, rolling her hips against his fingers as the tension in her body rose higher, he suddenly pulled them out and she whimpered at the loss. Her eyes settled on his gaze through the mirror.
"Sweetheart," he whispered gently, but then his fingers gripped around her throat again, forcing her attention back on her arousal glistening in the light. "I need you to keep your eyes on yourself."
She let out a strangled moan but managed to nod her head helplessly. Satisfied she was listening to him, he then started rubbing her clit roughly. She let out a muffled cry as she felt her orgasm rushing, his hold tightening around her throat as his fingers kept stimulating her clit in quick motions. She cried out his name over and over like a skipping, broken record.
"That's it. Say my name," He nipped at her skin, stinging that sensitive flesh between his teeth. "You're doing so good."
One look at the reflection before her was all she needed to fall apart. Seeing his arms holding her in place while his thighs were wide open behind her was more enticing than she had ever imagined. The way he touched her, so caring yet so dominant was the last drop for her to come hard, nails digging painfully into his forearm as her body went rigid.
The person staring back at her was one she almost didn't recognize. Her hair was frizzy and disheveled as it stick to her cheeks, her cheeks were flushed bright red and her face was coated in a sheen of sweat. Her eyes followed down her own body to see the mess coating his fingers, pooling between her thighs. She was still trying to reel back her senses when he suddenly let go of her.
"Lay on your back," he demanded, carefully pushing her onto the bed.
Then he proceeded to jump off the bed, his hands quickly removing his shirt before throwing it to the floor. Then she watched him as he started unbuckling his belt and—how did he manage to make it look so sensual? He dragged his tongue across his lips as he lingered at the sight of her sprawled wide open before him. The sound of his zipper being pulled down echoed throughout the room while he locked her gaze, finally slipping out of the last piece of clothing.
In one swift motion, he reached out and hooked his arms under her thighs and roughly yanked her further toward the edge of the bed. She squealed at the sudden movement in which he leveled her with a strong, disapproving gaze. "What did I tell you about keeping quiet?"
She nodded and watched as he slipped off her thong through her legs, slightly lifting her hips. Then he moved closer and positioned himself between her legs, taking his twitching cock in his hand as he stroked from base to tip, ready to bury himself inside her.
"So messy," He mumbled, dragging his cock along her folds as the head caught her entrance. "You're drenched."
She grumbled out a faint whimper.
"Make one noise and I'll stop," he sighed before slotting the head of his cock through her slit, catching the dewy arousal pooling there. Every fiber of his being trembled with the weight of desire, teetering on the edge of control.
"S-Spence," she mewled, her cheeks heated at the sensation of him pushing into her, the burning stretch of his tip reached places that felt nearly impossible to find.
"Shh," he whispered, desperately holding onto every self-control he had with the way she was already gripping him. "God, you're so tight."
"Baby," she mumbled, biting her bottom lip as she looked up at him with the utmost desperation. "Just fuck me already."
It was as if a dam had burst, unleashing a torrent of pent-up desire that had been building within him for far too long. The walls he had erected to hold back his cravings began to crumble, surrendering to the tempestuous storm that raged inside him.
With a breathless whisper, he reached out, his hands trembling in anticipation. "I'm afraid I don't have the restraint to be gentle," he exhaled, appetence thick in his throat. Searching fingers trailed over her stomach and eventually rested at her thighs and dug into the flesh until he couldn't hesitate anymore, and thrust to the hilt. "Forgive me."
At that moment, he finally let go, relinquishing control to the overwhelming force of his desire. He started out slow, enjoying the tightness wrapping around him as she gasped out his name. It was like he was reading her mind, moving at exactly the right pace to make her comfortable, but also building that delicious pressure. The roll of his hips pulled her into a trance as her body responded; muscles straining, eyes widening, lips parting.
She watched as he threw both of her ankles up onto his shoulders, his hands pinning them to his body. She felt his fingers firmly grip her legs tighter before he abruptly snapped his hips forward, his cock driving all the way into her instantly.
“Keep going," she breathed out, eyes snapping shut.
The grip on her face startled her as her eyelids fluttered open again. "Keep your eyes on me."
A low moan escaped her lips. He leaned over, hovering above her, his hands pushing her legs as they pressed against her body. The position allowed him to bury himself so deep inside of her, that the pleasant sting of him hitting her reverberated around her entire body. Her legs along his chest were already trembling against him as he continued to slam himself into her over and over.
"Don't make a fucking sound."
She hummed a reply before he leaned down, capturing her lips in a soft, hungry kiss. He trailed his lips down her throat before slightly pulling away, watching the way she was staring up at him, gasping and withering at every hard thrust of his hips. Her eyelids grew heavy under the weight of his stare, her mouth going slack as she felt the slow withdrawal of his cock, but she wasn't prepared for the way he rammed himself swiftly forward into her seconds later.
"Fuck, baby," she whimpered, feeling him stretching her all over again.
His hand slid back down to her throat, wrapping his fingers around it. Squeezing with just the right pressure, he picked up his pace, his hips rocking more rapidly into her. The hand on her throat tightened and she relaxed into his touch, feeling her climax reaching up to her as her own hand latched onto his forearm.
She continued to meet his savage thrusts with her hips, though his pace was near impossible for her to keep up with. Every soft grunt of his was falling almost into her ear and she couldn't help the way it was sending goosebumps across her skin. "Spence."
He could feel her walls clenching around him. "Don't come before me."
The demand startled her, because in honesty, Spencer always prioritized her needs before him. "W-What?"
"Trust me," he grunted, his lips hovering inches above hers. "Hold on a little longer."
There was nothing else she could do but to obey. There was something addicting with the way she easily surrendered control to him with so much trust that made pride swell in his chest, something about the sight of her obediently agreeing to him. Each forward thrust of his hips had her jolting, her breasts bouncing inside her barely covered outfit as the tip of his cock hit deep inside her.
The sounds that filled the room were vile. She faintly looked down between them as the crude sound of her slick walls squelching around his cock rang in her ears, leaving creamy rings of her slick around the base of his cock. A motion almost knocked the wind out of her as she let out a silent moan, lips parted in pleasure as he began a frantic pace.
And then he came undone. The intensity of his orgasm was enough for him to have an out-of-body experience, his vision going white as he filled her, her name drunkenly dripping off his lips. It was also enough for her to feel his warmth spread in her core, enough for her to clench hard around his cock as her own orgasm tugged her without warning, her legs shaking and her vision blurred as she felt the sensation traveling through every nerve of her body.
Her pleasure didn't go unnoticed by him as he frowned, his chest heaving while he tried to calm himself. "I thought I told you to wait."
She looked up at him tiredly. "You made it hard for me to wait."
He gave her a manic smile that sent a shiver down her spine before prompting himself on his arms, his dark curls tickling her skin as he stared down at her. The moment she felt him moving his hips again, she looked up in a panic.
"What are you doing—shit." He thrust his hips into her violently, her body squirming at his movement. "T-Too much."
"You came without my permission, might as well give you another one."
She bucked wildly beneath him, trying desperately to escape the tormenting way he was thrusting into her. She bit her lip from making a sound as he leaned back, pushing her thighs wide to expose her to him. "I-I can't."
"You can," he muttered, eyes never leaving the way he filled her up, his own release coating the slickness of her arousal. It was such a crude, messy sight, yet he was so infatuated by it. His thumb then fell on her swollen clit, moving it frantically in a circular motion. "You've been doing so well."
"Fuck." She stuttered out incoherent words as he thrust in and out of her in quick progressions, impatient and rabid. Pleasure and pain intermingled with each other so much that her brain couldn't process which one was which as they blurred. "Spence."
Then she couldn't take it anymore. It was too much for her to bear as her body erupted in flames, every vein of her being scorched with the fierceness of pleasure running through it, every collision of his hips into her sending sparks down her thighs. The climax swept through her like molten lava, swallowing her whole and threatening to drown her in a sea of pleasure.
"That's it, good girl," he grunted. There was something about how she was letting him witness such a sight, to let him bask in her lust-driven state. His fingers continued their torture on her clit. "So fucking pretty."
He didn't allow her even a moment to reprieve or a second to fully come down from her high, keeping up the same frantic pace until she was freefalling into another orgasm so strong that she briefly forgot how to breathe. It wracked through her like a creature possessed, pulling her muscles taut and rendering her completely speechless. She couldn't have screamed his name even if she tried. Every nerve seemed to vibrate with divine electricity that consumed her entirely. She trembled uncontrollably, her limbs quivering with the sheer magnitude of the sensations coursing through her body.
Her vision became a hazy blur as the world around faded into insignificance. The room, once familiar, now dissolved into a backdrop of abstract shapes and colors. Her eyes, filled with tears of ecstasy, mirrored the tumultuous storm within. They spilled over, tracing a path down her flushed cheeks. She gasped for breath, struggling to anchor herself in the midst of the whirlwind that enveloped her.
Somehow amidst her shaking form, Spencer managed to pull her into his embrace, settling them onto the mattress before pulling the covers over their body. He held her and peppered the side of her face with gentle kisses as his hands soothed down her trembling body.
“Hey, I got you. I'm right here."
The intensity was unlike anything she had ever experienced, a fusion of pleasure and vulnerability that brought her to the edge of her limits. She clung to the precipice, teetering on the brink of overwhelming release, as her body continued to convulse. Her grip tightened on his arm as she buried her face in the crook of his neck.
"Baby, breath with me," he muttered, gently cupping her face. "Breath in... breath out."
She followed him, her chest rising and falling with every breath she took as he helped her through it. And as the tremors subsided, she gradually returned to herself, her senses reawakening to the world around her. Her breathing steadied as she basked in the aftermath of the blissful storm that had swept her away.
"I'm sorry."
She shifted in his arms and glanced at him, noticing the way he was looking at her with worry. "Why?"
He gently swiped away the remnants of the tears still glistening in her eyes, evidence of the overwhelming intensity that had consumed her. "I pushed you too much."
"Spencer," she said, her voice dripping with astonishment. "That was the best sex of my life."
An amused chuckle escaped his lips. "Yeah?"
"Yes," she confirmed. "And it would hurt my ego if you don’t say the same thing."
His shoulder shook as he continued to laugh. "Y/n," he urged on, pressing a soft kiss on her mouth, smiling against her lips. "You're the best of everything that has ever happened to me."
As his words washed over her, a surge of warmth and tenderness enveloped her heart. She looked into his eyes, her gaze locked with his, and she could see the sincerity that radiated from his every word. His confession held a weight that transcended mere compliments or flattery and a soft smile played upon her lips as her eyes shimmered with a mixture of joy and disbelief.
But their moment was interrupted by the sudden sound of the door rattling without their knowledge.
"Y/n," Garcia walked into the room, her eyes focusing on the tablet in her hand. "Can you—"
Then she looked up, her breath caught in her throat, and for a moment, she stood still. She blinked, hoping to dispel the illusion, but it remained, solidifying the reality of what she beheld. She finally let out a scream.
"What the hell?!" She groaned in disbelief, quickly turning around. "Seriously?"
Y/n winced and let out a sigh. "...surprise?"
"I'm going to pretend I didn't see that!" Garcia yelled, already out of the room as she shut the door behind her. Then her voice rang in the air, muffled by the walls. "I'm happy for the both of you but very, very traumatized."
Her footsteps disappeared down the hallway and Y/n let out a breath she wasn't aware of holding. She quickly swat Spencer's arm and gave him a glare. "You didn't lock the door?!"
He gave her a sheepish smile. "Oops."
"Reid."
"You distracted me with your outfit!"
She groaned, burying her face against his neck. It wasn't that she didn't want anyone to find out about them, everyone would eventually know how infatuated they were with one another. But she never thought they would find out this way.
He slowly kissed her shoulder before mumbling against the skin, "So much for keeping quiet, huh?"
She burst into laughter, shoving an elbow into his side, not knowing whether to find this amusing or wanting to die out of embarrassment. "Shut the fuck up."

If I Should Stay
Part 1 | . . . | Part 12 | Part 13 | Part 14
After sandwiches, Nancy turns to El. “Could you look for Barb again?”
El sets her mouth and nods. She glances at Steve, who also nods and moves to set up the living room again.
Eddie follows him in and picks up the blindfold. Steve doesn’t try to hide his smirk. “You’ve got questions, I’m guessing?”
Eddie shrugs, leans against the couch. Watches the fabric as he pulls it through his fingers. Right hand, left hand. Right, left. “Mostly thinking I was wrong about you. Even more than I initially thought.”
Steve smiles. “We never got to have this conversation in the future, but I do know what your bandana means.” He stops for a second, watches Eddie’s hands. Right, left. “I’m offering… not an olive branch, per se, but…”
“An invitation?” Right, left.
“Exactly.” He shrugs. “If there’s anything you want to know…” he trails off, lets it hang in the air.
Eddie smiles. “Just one thing.” He holds it up in his left hand. “Who d’you use it on?”
Steve grins and turns away, looking for the remote. “Myself.” His smile falls. “Or- I did. You heard about the Russians, right?”
Eddie steps up beside him. Offers him the blindfold. “Yeah. Makes sense.”
Steve shrugs. “I’d say if I could go back in time, but…” he gestures around with a grin, letting it widen when Eddie chuckles. “Turns out going back in time does nothing for the memories I already have.”
Eddie frowns. “Kinda fucked up, isn’t it? Your body reverted back to its sixteen-year-old self, but your brain is still twenty.”
“I mean, imagine me coming to school one day looking like this, and the next I come in with scars, looking half a decade older. People would talk.”
Eddie hums. “You’re probably right. Still, it can’t be easy, having those mental reminders with none of the physical.”
Steve grins at him. “Did you miss the part where I don’t have concussions?”
Eddie snorts. “Fair enough. Still, I bet the scars looked badass.”
“Very metal,” Steve agrees. “Y’know, if you’d survived? We woulda had matching scars.” He trails a hand down his side. “The bats ripped us both open. Woulda gotten me if you, Robin and Nance hadn’t gotten there when you did. You took on a bat with nothing but an oar from a rowboat.” He turns to look at Eddie. “You told me once, how you’re a coward. How you run.” He shakes his head, looks away. “You didn’t. Not when it mattered. And you won’t this time.”
“Maybe this time we’ll have matching not-scars,” Eddie says, then points at Steve. “And no concussions.”
“And no concussions,” Steve parrots, laughing. “If we have to deal with the Russians again, though? I’m definitely doing something different.”
“We,” Eddie murmurs, shrugging when Steve looks at him. “We’ll do something different. You think any of these kids are gonna leave you alone after this? You think Eleven will leave you alone?”
“I hope not,” Steve answers honestly. “And you? You’re staying?”
Eddie shrugs again. “You said I didn’t run when it mattered. Who’s to say this doesn’t matter just as much? I’m not running.”
Steve smiles softly at him. “You’re a good man, Eddie Munson.”
Eddie levels him with a look. “I sell weed, Steve.”
Steve snorts. “I’m well aware, dude, I’ve bought from you before. If all goes well, I’m planning on buying another.”
Eddie laughs. “Hell, man, if it all goes well, I’ll give it to you, free of charge.”
Steve winks. “I’ll hold you to it,” he says, then leaves Eddie to process while he goes to get El.
Of course wherever El goes, Mike’s not far behind, which means he, Dustin and Lucas follow, and of course Nancy follows, and since everyone else is already in there, Jonathan and Robin follow too, so they all end up crammed in the living room again, with bated breaths and tightly-held hands, as El settles in front of the TV and puts the blindfold on.
Finally, she speaks. “I see her. She is alive.”
Nancy slumps into the couch and lets out a breath.
Then El speaks again. “She does not have very long.”

Summary: After being fuck buddies with Josh for a few months, he begins to act out when he sees a man buy you a drink. Is this little arrangement between you over, or does it turn into something more?
Tumblr media
You walked up to the bar, standing there for no longer than two seconds before an unfamiliar arm snaked around your waist. “This one’s on me. A pretty girl like you shouldn’t be paying for their own drinks, hm?”
‘Okay, gross…’ you thought, turning to look at him. He had dark brown hair that was gelled to the side, brown eyes with slight stubble on his face. I mean, he wasn’t ugly, but that pick-up line was plain nasty.
“I’m okay, thanks though.” You presented a closed lipped smile in hopes that your bluntness would deter him.
You were wrong.
“C’mon, just one drink. I’ll leave you alone after that, I promise.” He asked, looking at you hopefully.
‘Maybe he isn’t so bad, I mean that’s a pretty reasonable offer.’ Looking over the man’s shoulder, you caught Josh’s eyes burning into you.
“Okay, just one drink, but you have to leave me alone after that.” Accepting his compromise, you took a seat at the bar whilst he ordered you a drink. You caught Josh’s eyes again, noticing that he appeared to be angry. You and Josh have been sleeping together for a few months now, but so far, it has been nothing serious.
It happened at the end of the last tour, when he was pent up after a show and had absolutely no shame in asking for your help in the midst of his desperation. There was no denying that Josh is attractive, and you’d always had a small thing for him, so you happily obliged. But then, it carried on, which isn’t necessarily a problem, but he’s a very confusing person. You know that he’s only using you for a quick fuck, but considering your friendship, you assumed he’d have a tad more respect. You are painfully aware that sex is all it is to him, but you can’t help feeling hurt at times, especially when he has no shame in chatting up random girls when you go out somewhere. You’ve had plenty of opportunities to do the same, but stopped yourself out of respect for Josh.
However, it had been a week since you and Josh last had sex, and the guy currently chatting you up seemed nice enough. You didn’t have any intention of sleeping with him, but it was nice to share a drink with someone, even if it was not the person you wanted to be with.
You finished your drink and said your goodbyes to the guy at the bar, who you never actually caught the name of. Or maybe you did… you can’t remember, and truthfully, you don’t really care. You headed back to the group, which only consisted of you, Josh, Jake, Danny, and Sam. “Who was that?” Jake asked, sharing an intrigued look with the rest of them.
“Just some guy, he said he’d buy me a drink and then leave me alone. Seemed like a fair deal and he was nice enough.” You looked around, and it seemed like your answer was satisfactory. Until you landed on Josh, who was still wearing the same grumpy look. You frowned at him, wondering what his problem was. He caught your gaze and rolled his eyes.
‘What is his problem?’ You thought, frustrated with the lack of communication.
“Where are we going after this?” You asked, trying to avoid Josh’s stare.
“You’re not going home with that guy?” Josh asked, hints of sarcasm seeping through his already harsh tone. You were dumbfounded, Josh never acts this way.
“Excuse me?” You asked, pure confusion evident in your tone.
“I don’t know. You seemed pretty content with him.” You looked around trying to gauge everyone else’s reaction, which was seemingly the same as yours.
“I already told you, he bought me one drink and promised to leave me alone. If he hadn’t made the promise of leaving me alone I would have been opposed to the idea, but he did. It was a harmless drink.” You spoke calmly despite the anger that was flowing through your veins.
‘This is unbelievable! Since when is this a problem for him? He has no issues chatting up girls, but when I have a harmless drink with someone he acts like I’ve committed adultery in a marriage that doesn’t even exist.’ You were fuming, but doing a good job of hiding it.
“Could’ve fooled me” he responded, sarcasm dripping from his words.
“Josh, chill out. Let’s just go back to mine because it's the closest.” Danny pipes up. You weren’t even sure you wanted to stay out after the way Josh has been acting. It was awkward now, no one was really sure of what to say because no one knew what was wrong.
“I think I might just head home for the night. This has been really nice though, we need to make more of an effort to do this more often.” You hoped that they wouldn’t question it. Josh had entirely sucked the fun out of the night and your mood to socialise had gone down the drain. They all protested, asking you to stay just a couple more hours. Josh stayed silent, confirming that he was still in his pathetic little mood. That gave you even more reason to leave, so you did. You all said goodbye and they subtly told you to just ignore Josh and that he’d get over whatever was bothering him.
As soon as you got home you stripped from your restricting skirt and top and got in the shower. The warmth felt so good, releasing all the built up tension from Josh’s digs at you. It started to dawn on you that maybe the whole arrangement you had with Josh was a bad idea. Realistically, it’s never a good idea to sleep with your friends without the intention of more. But, it was going fine, it hadn’t affected your friendship at all until now. You wonder what had changed.
You reluctantly got out the shower and put on your comfiest pyjamas. Then, you ordered some takeout, which is a necessity after a night of drinking. It was still quite early and you weren’t going to go to sleep for a few more hours, so you poured yourself a nice, full glass of wine. You heard a knock at the door before you could enjoy.
‘That was quick…’ you opened the door and was met with Josh’s familiar face. ‘Fucking brilliant.’
“What do you want now? To ruin the rest of my night, too?” You asked. He scoffed and rolled his eyes.
“No, I was going to apologise but it seems you’re still clinging on to whatever it was I did.” You audibly laughed in his face.
‘Unbelievable. Is he serious? This is so obviously because the rest of them forced him to come and apologise.’ You theorized.
“Seriously, Josh? You were rude. You have no problems chatting up women at bars and I never bat an eyelid. Was it shitty to watch? Sure! But I have no reason to stop you because we are not together. We fuck Josh, that’s the extent of it. We’re friends who fuck. Why is it a problem when I have a drink with someone? I was never going to agree in the first place out of respect for you. I’ve had plenty of opportunities to go home with someone, but I haven’t, because despite the fact that we aren't together, we’re friends. But it’s only fair if I get to talk to other guys. I don’t know what your problem is, but our little arrangement is done. It’s clearly affecting our friendship and you seem to be able to get a good fuck whenever you want, so you obviously don’t need me for that. Now, if you’re not going to sincerely apologise for your pathetic behaviour, I’d like you to leave before my food gets here.” He stared at you, mouth agape in shock. All of the emotions you just poured out started to sink in, and it’s became overwhelming. You hold back the tears and wait for him to respond.
‘Why is this getting to me so mu-‘
“I love you! Jesus, how can you not see it? I’m head over heels for you. Have you never noticed how I always take care of you after we have sex? I stay with you every single time. Have you never noticed the way I look at you every opportunity I get? Have you never thought about why I always get you the most meaningful gifts compared to everyone else? Or why I always sit next to you when we go out? I’m in love with you. I never meant for us sleeping together to become a regular thing, but having you as something more than a friend was better than just being seen as a friend by you, even if it was just as a fuck buddy. The way I acted tonight was wrong and unfair, and you’re right. You should be able to talk to whoever you want because that’s exactly what I do. I’m sorry.”
You were shocked to say the least, but it made sense. Everything made sense. You love him. That’s why it always bothered you to see him talking to other girls. As you stared at him completely baffled, your food arrived, which was honestly perfect timing. It brought you back to reality. You invited Josh into your home and sat down with him, “please say something, you’ve been silent for way too long”
“I’m sorry. I just- it all makes sense now.” You thought about the best way to go about this. You weren’t exactly planning on admitting your feelings for Josh tonight, specifically because you are admitting to feelings that you didn’t even realise you had until five minutes ago. ‘Fuck it.’ “I love you too. I didnt even realise, but it makes sense. It hurt to see you talk to other girls, knowing you could pull any of them whenever you wanted. I just didn’t put the pieces together.” You stared up at him, and you couldn’t stop yourself.
You grabbed his collar and pulled him into you, kissing him with so much force that it made your head spin. He gladly reciprocated. Your mouths moved in sync as his tongue swiped your bottom lip, asking for entrance, which you granted. He pushed you further into the couch, and you wrapped your legs around his waist bringing him in closer. This felt so different; it wasn’t just need and desperation; the atmosphere was filled with love and passion. He groaned into your mouth as you started grinding your hips on him, looking for some type of friction to ease the aching sensation. You could feel how hard he was.
He pulled away to remove your top and groaned when he realised you weren’t wearing a bra. “Fuck. You’re so pretty, mama.” You smiled at him as you moved your hands to his waist and attempted to unbutton his pants when he stopped you, “No. Let me make you feel good, first.” He removed your pants, leaving you completely naked below him. He ran his fingers through your folds collecting the wetness. “All of this for me?” You moaned at the feeling of his fingers on you, bucking your hips to try and get some friction on your aching clit.
“Only for you, Josh” he pushed a finger inside of you, eliciting a moan that was louder than intended. He was moving at an antagonizing pace. “Please, Josh.” You whined. You needed more, you were so desperate for something.
“Please what, baby?”
“I need more. Please.” He pushed another finger into you, increasing his speed. “Fuck! That feels so good.” You moaned. You could feel the warmth blossoming in your belly, getting closer and closer to your release. He knew it, he knew your body so well. He could feel you squeezing his fingers, and just as you were about to come, he removed them. “No! No, no. Please Josh. I was so close”
“Soon, mama. Let me take care of you.” he leaned in, kissing you much softer than before. You whined into his mouth, bucking your hips in an attempt to relieve your desperation. He was just as desperate as you, if not more. You could feel the heat radiating from his cock.
“I need you Josh. I need your cock, please.” You begged. He pulled down his pants along with his boxers and released his achingly hard cock. His head was red and dripping with pre cum, begging to be touched. You reached your hand down and stroked him delicately. “Fuck. Your hands feel so good, baby, but I need to be inside of you.” He lined his cock up with your entrance and bottomed out. You both groaned in sync. He was stretching you out so good.
“Please move Josh.” You begged, and he obliged. He moved slowly, picking up his pace. This was different, he was going slow but so deep compared to usual, where he would mercilessly fuck you. You used your legs that were wrapped around his waist to bring him in closer, digging your nails into his back. He moaned into your neck, his hot breath sending shivers down your spine. Your orgasm was approaching quickly after having it taken away a mere five minutes ago. It was so rushed but you couldn’t care less, you just needed him.
“Faster Josh, I’m so close. Fuck!” He did as he was asked, thrusting into you faster. He grabbed your leg and chucked it over his shoulder, somehow achieving an even deeper angle than before. “Jesus Christ, Josh. You feel so good.” Your head rolled back into the cushions behind you as you quickly approached your long awaited orgasm.
“You gonna come for me? Give it to me, mama. I need to feel you come around my cock.” Josh’s words of encouragement threw you over the edge and caused you to come, hard. You don’t even know if you were actually saying anything or if you were just making noises, but you didn’t care. He fucked you through it, picking up his pace as he chased his own orgasm. “I’m close, baby. Can you give me one more?” You nearly cried when he said that. You were beyond fucked out, the alcohol from earlier starting to tire you out.
“I can’t, Josh.” You whined. His hips were faltering now, giving him away. His eyes were screwed shut and his mouth was hanging open. “You can, I know you can. C’mon, mama. Just one more for me. You feel so good. Be good for me, please” his voice was strained, which encouraged you even more. You could feel yourself getting closer. He reached his hand down to your clit and within seconds you were coming again. You saw stars, your legs clamped around his waist even harder as you came. You were shouting his name like a mantra as he thrusted into you at a merciless pace, chasing his own release. You felt him twitch inside of you.
“Fuck! I’m gonna come” he groaned as he stilled inside of you, releasing his hot spurts of cum. His head dropped to the crook of your neck as he worked himself through his orgasm. You both stilled as you caught your breath and he rolled off of you.
He wrapped his arms around you and brought you closer, kissing your forehead gently. “I’m sorry for earlier. I love you.” You smiled up at him and ran your fingers through his hair.
“It’s okay. I love you too, Josh.” You cuddled into him.
‘This feels so right.’ He leaned down and pressed a delicate kiss to your lips whilst he caressed your face. He pulled away and his eyes were filled with nothing but love.
“How does a shower sound?” He suggested, a cheeky glint in his eyes. You grinned up at him and peeled yourself away from his embrace. “I’ll race you.” You giggled, quickly getting up and giving yourself a head start.
“Oh, you’re on!” He chased after you, laughing to himself.
‘This feels so right.’ He thought, too.

You were so sick of him. The way he stood with his hands on his hip, squinting in the Georgia sun as he watched over the camp -- or, more specifically -- watched over Lori.
You respected it at first, when Rick didn't wake up and he told you, "We gotta go get Lori and Carol, (Y/N). We just got to. I gotta do right by him."
You didn't say anything when you were all stopped on the highway, watching the planes drop bombs on the city that was supposed to welcome you into safe refugee centers, and his first instinct was to hold Lori instead of you. You thought she had to be terrified, to lose her man and have to keep their son safe in such trying, unpredictable times. She probably needed that hug more than you, his own wife.
You were young when you married Shane. A drunken night led to one thing, one thing led to a baby, a baby led to another thing; a ring. But, you had a miscarriage after the wedding, and as we all know that doesn't nullify a marriage. Regardless, it wasn't a bad marriage. The relationship was mostly solid. You had suspicions, like when he'd come home from a night out with the other guys on the force with what you could have sworn were faded lipstick stains that he couldn't wipe off well enough, or smelling faintly of perfume and cigarettes. Still, he took good care of you, and you had a fair bit of freedom. He financed your art supplies, bought you records, helped you get back into school.
Your parents never had a good marriage so in comparison, you were doing well for yourself. Better than your mom, who lived on wine and Xanax, or your dad, who worked his fingers to the bone in that office, hunched over a computer, addicted to porn and cigars.
You often wondered if they had survived the initial outbreak, or if they were stumbling around King County somewhere with no heartbeat.
You shook the thought away, eyeing Shane from atop the RV where you were supposed to be watching for walkers. His skin was shiny with sweat. You wondered how long it'd be before he disappeared into the wood again. Funny how Lori always seemed to disappear at the same time, no doubt leaving Dale or Carol to keep an eye on Carl. Funny how since you'd all set up camp there by the quarry, Lori hadn't been able to make eye contact with you. Funny how he had been short with you, yet somehow managed to remain controlling  as ever. You weren't allowed out of his sight unless he was already out of yours. You couldn't talk to men like Ed or Merle and his brother. You couldn't touch the guns, not until he showed you how to use one properly. You couldn't go wash up in the quarry unless he was there to escort you at night, which he conveniently never was. You couldn't--
"You alright up here?" Dale asked.
"Oh. Yeah." You shook your head clean of the whirlwind of suspicion.
"Don't seem too focused." He observed.
"Yeah, you're right. Sorry." You said, holding the binoculars to your eyes and turning your attention to the trees.
"Why don't you go on and take a break. I'll keep an eye out for now." He offered.
"Actually, you know what? That would be really great. Thanks Dale." You smiled and passed his binoculars to him. You wanted to protest. Watch duty was your favorite, and just about the only thing you could do to make yourself useful aside from washing other people's dirty underwear.
You climbed down from the roof, expecting to walk over to your husband, but he wasn't where he stood just moments prior.
You turned to Amy, who was sitting on the steps of the RV, fanning herself. It was a particularly hot day.
"Hey. Did you see where Shane went? I just saw him over there." You asked, her pointing to where he once stood.
"I think he went to check the perimeter." She said, holding her hand over her eyes to look up at you without being blinded. It was probably just about noon now with the sun high in the sky.
"Right." You nodded. You scanned the campers around you. "What about Lori?"
        She shook her head.
"No, haven't seen her in a while. Carl's over there with Carol. She might know."
You sighed, thanking Amy as you made your way to Carol.
        "Hey. Seen Lori?"
"Yeah. She asked me to watch Carl for a bit. Not sure where she went, though."
You felt a heat in your chest. Exactly as you suspected.
You jogged back to Amy. "Hey, which way did Shane go?"
She pointed over to the tree line on your left.
"Thanks, again." You smiled in a thin line as you marched to the woods. You were determined to put an end to this shit, one way or another.
You knew they couldn't have gone far. You had just seen him not five minutes ago. You were sure you could catch up. If the Dixons were around, you'd be half tempted to approach one and ask them to track for you. Probably the younger one. That Merle would probably ask you what you were willing to give in return, and you had a feeling he wouldn't be looking for payment in the material sense. You heard quiet rustling and heavy breaths. You ducked down and made slow, quiet steps, glancing down at the ground periodically to avoid any snapping twigs or overly crunchy leaves. You came to some thicker bushes and brush, crooning you neck to peer over the leaves and thorns.
Your stomach dropped. There it was. His sweat stained white tee, panting over her navy blue tank top that fit rather loosely with all the weight loss. Her jeans and underwear in a little pile off to the side, his gun set right on top. You clenched your jaw. You wanted to storm over and yell obscenities, to kick them both into the dirt. You were stuck, though. You couldn't move. You were so angry that you were cemented in place. Most of all, you were hurt. You were younger than Shane, and younger than Rick and Lori, but somehow, some way you thought Lori was a friend to you. You watched Carl when she and Rick took date nights from time to time, you two grabbed coffee together, went back to school shopping for Carl just to get you out of the house.
It would have been one thing had she not known you, had she been a complete stranger, but she was supposed to be a friend, and Shane, he was your husband. Tears stung at your eyes as your pulse became noticeable under your skin.
That's when you saw something else, a human shape walking up behind them. Could it be? A walker coming to exact your revenge for you? No, you could never be so lucky. It was the Dixon, the young one. His boots were heavy against the forest floor, drawing the attention of Shane and Lori. They both scrambled, Shane standing and buttoning his pants back up as Lori sat and pulled her jeans over her lap to cover herself.
"Hey, man -- I -- We can explain --" Shane stuttered, Lori looking mortified.
"Ain't me ya gotta explain to." Daryl shrugged, glancing over Shane's shoulder at you as you slowly stood to your feet from behind the bushes.
"Look, man. You say anything --" Shane hissed, no doubt gearing up for some halfhearted threat, but Daryl cut him off again.
"Won't have to." He told Shane, throwing another look at you, this time prolonging eye contact.
Shane and Lori followed his gaze and landed on you.
        "(Y/N)" Lori breathed.
You tore your eyes from the huntsman, shooting visual daggers at your unfaithful husband and his backstabbing mistress.
Shane took a deep breath, rubbing his hand over his face. You said nothing. There was nothing to say. You just looked at Daryl one more time before you turned around.
"(Y/N), come on!" Shane called after you. "Let's talk about this."
You didn't want to. You just stomped your way back to camp, ignoring the curious eyes as you pulled all your things from your shared tent with Shane. You really only had your backpack and a blanket. The two of you shared the sleeping bag and a single pillow, but you didn't want that. It would smell of Shane, and at that moment the thought of him made you nauseous. You took your bag and your blanket, and made your way down to the quarry. Surely that would be the most peaceful place to sleep, by the water, under the stars, away from everyone else.
"(Y/N.)" Shane said from behind you after he likely followed you back. "What the hell are you doin'?" He asked, referring to your backpack and blanket in arms.
        "Fuck you." You grumbled.
"C'mon, what are you doin'?" He asked again. You spun on your heel, seething.
"No, Shane. What the hell are you doing?!" You shouted, drawing eyes from all around. You didn't care. In fact, you saw it as an opportunity. "Sneaking off?! Getting your dick wet?!"
"Don't do this here." He said quietly, glancing over his shoulder to where Carol sat with Carl and Sophia. They were all staring in shock, the whole camp. He reached his hands out to grab your shoulders but you stepped back, chest heaving with rage.
"Oh, why? So your girlfriend's kid doesn't know she's getting down and dirty with you in the leaves out there?" You spat back, only loud enough for him to hear. "You haven't touched me in weeks. Not since the night we left home, but you can't keep it in your pants around your dead best friend's wife?"
You shoved his chest with both hands, dropping the blanket to the ground in the process. His eyes grew dark, that pleading expression turning cold.
"I don't give a fuck how sorry you are or aren't. I don't give a good god damn how guilty she feels. I hate you, and I hate her." You added, just to drive the knife in deeper. If they could stab you in the back, you'd stab them in the chest.
        "Don't be stupid." He growled.
"Stupid is having unprotected sex in the middle of the woods when your wife is sitting on top of an RV with binoculars. Stupid is fucking your best friend's wife. Stupid is--"
He grabbed your arm with force, dragging you far away from the others. He lened in close to your face, eyes wide with fury.
"You need to stop." He warned.
"I am stopping. I'm stopping all of it. Congratulations, Shane. You don't have to hide your affair anymore. Because you no longer have a wife to cheat on. Oh, and by the way, you suck at hiding it. You both do. The whole fucking camp can see you two disappearing at the same time, every single day. We all see how you look at her, how you play house with her and Carl like your wife isn't sitting ten feet away. Is that what it is? You like making me look like a fool?"
"I'm only gonna tell you once." He hissed, scowling down at you like you were the one who betrayed him. "Keep your mouth shut."
"No problem." You sneered. "I'll keep my mouth shut, and you'll keep your distance."
----
It was dark out. Despite the blazing heat in the daytime, the nights could get pretty chilly, especially down by the water. You didn't mind. You set against the cliff, back rested against your bag, blanket wrapped over you nice and snug. You enjoyed all the stars above. They were hard to see back home, but now, without all the light pollution, they were beautiful.
"Shouldn't be out here alone." A husky voice rasped. You looked down past your feet to see the shadow of an archer, the very one who happened to catch Shane and Lori when you did.
"Nah. If any of those freaks stumble through here, they'll be drawn to the fire and the lanterns. I'm safer than ever over here in the dark."
        "Mm." He hummed. "Y'alright? After--"
"After I caught my husband fucking another woman? Yeah. All things considered, I'm better than ever." You scoffed.
"Bein' mad don't mean ya gotta be stupid. Can't stay out here." He insisted.
"Well, my tent is Shane's tent, and the RV is full." You sighed.
        "Jus' take mine." He offered.
"Yours." You repeated. "And you're gonna sleep where?"
"Outside. Prefer it that way anyway." He shrugged.
"Yeah, no. I'm not kicking you out of your own tent."
"Ain't kickin' me out if I offer."
"Well, thanks, but I'll be declining that offer."
"Suit yourself." He said as he walked back to camp. Daryl wasn't the type to go out of his way for someone else. In fact, it was rather annoying that you couldn't accept his kindness when he felt obliged to offer it. He saw how you looked when you caught them, the sickening blend of grief and rage. You hadn't done anything to deserve that, at least to his knowledge, yet you were the one with nowhere to sleep. It didn't sit right with him.
He remembered something, though. A bottle of whiskey he had stashed away in his tent. If he couldn't convince you to sleep somewhere warmer and safer than on the bed of red clay by the water, maybe you'd accept something to take your mind off it all.
He ducked into his tent and grabbed his bottle, paying no mind to his fellow survivors all huddled around the fire making small talk. Lori and Shane sat near each other, Carl in between them talking to Shane about his favorite heroes, Shane telling him stories about his dad.
Shane's eye caught Daryl as he made his way down the quarry with a bottle of liquor, no doubt on his way to you. He felt a heat in his chest, the same kind you felt when you found him rolling in the dirt with Lori. She noticed his sudden tension and followed his gaze. She looked back to Shane with worry, attempting to calm him with her eyes.
Daryl found you laying on your side, backpack under your cheek like a pillow.
        "Ya sleep?" He asked.
"No." You said, monotone and irritable.
        "Ya like whiskey?"
You sat up. Of course you liked whiskey, this is the south.
"You have some?" You inquired. He held the bottle out to you and you took it, twisting off the cap and taking a large swig. "Thanks."
"Ain't a gift." He clarified. "But ya look like you could use a drink."
He sat down a foot away from you, facing the water. You passed the bottle back to him.
        "Well, thanks for sharing."
        "Mhm."
"What would you do?" You asked him.
        "Huh?"
"I mean if you had a wife out here and you caught her fucking someone else."
"Kick her outta my tent." He said.
"And if it was her tent?"
"Too bad. Shouldn't've been sleepin' around." He shrugged, swigging the bottle and passing it to you.
"Uhuh." You nodded, sipping. "What else?"
"You askin' me for advice or somethin'?"
        "Something like that." You guessed.
"Well I'd probably kick his ass for fuckin' my wife knowin' I was right there."
"Mm. I'd love to but I can't exactly whoop someone who still has to look out for a kid."
"Guess ya just gotta ignore 'em." He suggested, taking the bottle as you handed it over.
        "How? I live with them."
"Want me to kill 'em?" He joked. You chuckled.
        "Kinda." You admitted.
"Mm. Too easy. I'd tie 'em up outside the city and leave 'em to the walkers."
"Oh, you've put thought into this?" You asked. He tipped the bottle bac and took a gulp.
"Nah. If I did I'd have somethin' more creative."
"The hell's this?" Shane asked, suddenly looming over the two of you.
Daryl stood up. "Just havin' a drink." He said, eyeing Shane.
"With my wife?" Shane stepped forward, so Daryl did too.
"Looks single to me." Daryl shrugged. He didn't come over with the intentions of making a move on you. Really he hadn't noticed you around at all. He, however, also wasn't one to back down from a fight, and he already had a distaste for the ex-fed, self proclaimed leader.
"What?" Shane asked through gritted teeth, swaying as he grew more antsy to take a swing.
"You're a real piece of work, you know that Shane?" You sighed, standing up. You weren't phased by his sudden intrusion, you knew him too well to be surprised.
"Yeah, why don't ya go back to sleepin' with the widow?" Daryl added. That was enough for Shane. He threw the first punch, but Daryl recovered quickly, getting a good knock to the ribs in before you inserted yourself between them, one hand to each man's chest.
"Can we chill with the dick-measuring contest? He brought me a drink because he felt bad for me. Nothing else, because unlike you," you said to Shane, "some men are capable of keeping their willies tucked away."
"Yeah, right, like he wasn't just waitin' for you to get drunk and start feelin' vengeful." Shane spat.
"I don't fuck drunk girls, asshole." Daryl spoke up. "That's for cops and losers."
"Man, you think you can take me? You want a piece of this?" Shane started to raise his voice now.
"Yeah, c'mon then, prick." Daryl said, throwing his arms up. The two men stepped in circles around you as you tried to keep a barrier between them.
"Yeah, come on then, pussy!" Shane shouted.
"Pussy? Nah, man. You're the coward, slidin' your dick in some vulnerable window when ya had a tight piece o' ass right here waitin' for ya every night!" Daryl yelled back.
"What is goin' on here?" Lori came in, eyes blazing between the three of you.
"Wha'd'ya waitin' for, man? There's your side piece, go on and get her!" Daryl said.
Shane lunged forward and you gripped around his torso tight, banking on the hope that he wouldn't hurt you to get past you, at least nit in front of her.
"Don't fuckin' talk about here like that!" Shane seethed.
"Yeah well ya sure didn't care 'bout me callin' your wife a tight piece of ass! I see where your priorities lie!"
You couldn't afford to get distracted with the details as you put all your focus and strength into holding on to Shane to prevent anyone from getting hurt. However, the Dixon made some valid points.
"Stop it, you two!" Lori begged.
"Hate to say it," you strained against Shane's strength, digging your feet into the dirt as his strong frame fought against you. "But I'm with Lori."
"Y'all need to calm down before--"
"Is everything okay?" Dale's voice sounded from behind Lori, cutting her off. Amy, Andrea, and Morales stood with him. Lori sighed and put her hand over her forehead.
Shane finally relented and you gratefully let go of him, turning to face the crowd of onlookers.
        "What happened here?" Dale inquired.
"He was makin' a move on my wife." Shane panted, still coming down from the surge of adrenaline and rage.
You scoffed, gawking at his audacity. You glared at Lori for a moment, running your tongue over your teeth before you shook your head and chuckled.
"No, he brought me a drink because he felt bad for me, sleeping out here alone." You corrected.
"Why are you sleeping all the way out here?" Andrea asked, shaking her head with confusion.
"Yeah, it's really not safe. You should be up there with us." Amy added.
"Yeah, Shane, Lori." You cocked your head to the side, crossing your arms as you looked between the two of them. "Why am I sleeping all the way out here? Hm?"
Lori looked at you with wide, anxious eyes as Shane just shot daggers at you and Daryl. Lori looked back to everyone else, who seemed to be confused, except for Dale who had a knack for picking up on things.
"Maybe we should head back to camp. It's getting late." Dale suggested.
"I'm good." You rolled your eyes. "Thanks for ruining yet another peaceful moment." You said to Shane.
        "I'm confused." Andrea spoke up.
"Oh, allow me to clarify." You smiled, sickeningly sweet. Lori shook her head at you, but you ignored her. "Shane, my husband, and Lori, have been keeping a secret from us. Care to share with the class?"
"(Y/N), man, come on. Why you gotta start problems?" Shane let out an exasperated sigh.
"No? Okay, allow me to speak on your behalf, then. My husband has been fucking Lori, who, if you guys weren't aware, is married to Shane's best friend, who he claims is dead." You said.
        God, did that feel good.
Everyone looked stunned, save for Lori who just looked humiliated and mortified, and Shane, who was more pissed than anything else.
"Some leader, huh? A real honest guy." You added, just to add insult to injury. Salt in the open wound, if you will.
"Oh...kay... Why don't we just.." Dale was at a loss for words.
"Maybe (Y/N) can stay in the RV with us." Amy suggested.
"Yeah, I think that'd be just fine." Dale agreed.
"No need." You looked to Shane, smirking. "Daryl here has offered his tent."
Daryl shot you a look. He had no intentions of being your pawn in some twisted revenge scheme.
        "You did?" Andrea asked.
Daryl nodded. "Yeah, told her she could have it 'til she figures somethin' else out."
"And you're gonna sleep... Where?" She wondered.
        "Outside." He shrugged.
Shane scoffed and shook his head, hands rested on his hips in that police stance you had grown to hate. Your nostrils flared at him in disgust.
----
"Why'd ya do that?" Daryl asked.  You were all back at camp now. He was grabbing some essentials from his tent to make room for you. "Make it like it was somethin' it ain't?"
"What do you mean? I told the truth. You offered your tent."
"Nah, you wanted to get under his skin." He shook his head at you as you stood with your bag over your shoulder and your dusty blanket balled up in your arms.
        "I mean, yeah, but--"
"But nothin'. I ain't gon' be part of your revenge and I damn sure ain't gonna be no rebound dick to ride 'til ya feel better." He cut you off before he stormed away.

Warning: Minors DNI, Fluff, mentions of sex, mentions of fetish, surprise: no smut
---------------
Miguel had been standing in the corner for what felt like eternity. He couldn't find it in himself to move. It was if he was trapped in time. His attention was focused on you.
You were just sitting alone on a park bench, reading something on your tablet. There was a bright smile against your lips as your cheeks turned crimson. The wind blew gently against your face, causing you to constantly fix your hair.
Everything about you was just beautiful. Miguel had taken notice of you a while ago. He just had no idea how to approach you. You had started working at Alchemax and Miguel was smitten. You were so beautiful. Miguel just wanted to talk to you.
"Just go up and say hello." Miguel told himself, "You're fucking Spiderman for god's sake."
Miguel prepped himself up and proceeded to walk to you. You let out a small giggle, covering your mouth before quickly looking around. Miguel flinched as the two of you made eye contact. Miguel cleared his throat as you quickly put your tablet away.
"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you." Miguel said. You just smiled towards him,
"You're Miguel, right? I've seen you a few times at work. I'm (Y/N)." You chirped, introducing yourself.
You couldn't believe it. The Miguel O'Hara was speaking to you. You had only fantasized about this moment. Miguel was a fucking god at Alchemex. He was sexy, smart and built like a champ. You dreamed of his arms squeezing your-
"S-So! Is there anything I could help you with?" You stuttered to ask, trying to push the dirty thoughts away. Miguel returned your smile,
"I was wondering if I could...take you out for a coffee?"
"Yes!" You chirped, then cleared your throat, "I mean, yes. I would love that."
----------
"If you don't mind me asking, what were you reading that had you smiling so lovely?" Miguel asked with a hum, watching your every move. Your cheeks started to burn,
"O-Oh, it was nothing...important." Biting your lower lip, you decided to be brave and bold, "Maybe I'll tell you...if we go out for a date?"
Miguel's eyes widen. This was going really smoothly. He took a sip of his coffee, agreeing to the idea. Miguel could hear your heart race as you quietly cheered to yourself. You were so cute. How could he have been so dumb and waited this long? The idea of you belonging to Miguel just sounded so right.
"How's Friday after work? Dinner and a movie?" Miguel offered. You fixed your hair,
"I'd love that."
--------
Miguel was a charmer. He had picked you up after work, dropped you off at your place, then returned to get you when you were ready. He even brought you flowers. Everything Miguel was doing was making your heart flutter. Now, you had to charm him. Miguel was letting you pick the movie.
"There are some...okay options," You mentioned, eyeing one particular movie, "Um..."
"Let's watch that one," Miguel pointed towards the movie you were glancing at, "You seem to be int-"
"W-We shouldn't! That...That movie is um...inappropriate."
Miguel laughed before grabbing your hand. His grip was tight, yet warm. Miguel had bought the tickets and brought you to your seats after getting some snacks. You sat side him, unable to calm down. You were positive that Miguel knew nothing of this movie. What if he decided to not want to see you again after this?
"Don't be nervous. It's just a movie." Miguel reassured you. You whimpered lowly, glancing up at him,
"A movie involving a lot of kinky sex." You whispered. Miguel quickly sat up as the lights dimmed, "I-I'm sorry. Um, remember you asked what I was reading at the park? It was smut. I, um, I'm really into kinky sex stories and....that...stuff....I-I know...I-I'm weird and-"
"It's fine," Miguel kissed your head, catching you off guard, "I'm not going to judge you on your tastes."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course."
----------
You were a blushing and giggling mess after the movie. You held your cheeks as you kept talking to Miguel about the movie. Miguel was happy that you were enjoying yourself; however, he had gotten hard during the movie imaging that it was you and him having sex. Miguel chuckled as you squealed lowly, talking about the end of the movie.
"So next date we can watch a similar movie," Miguel offered and noticed your shocked expression, "You're adorable when you talk about what you like. I'm glad to be able to see this side of you." He admitted. A smile creeped onto your face,
"Thanks, Miguel." You approached him and pecked his cheek, "I'll be happy to go on another date with you."
"Tuesday has Happy Hour at the bar across the street."
"Oof, isn't that the hefty work day filled with meetings?" You questioned. Miguel nodded, knowing that he was going to need the stress reliever,
"After work around 6?"
"Sounds like a date."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wanted to do something a little different than the smut! Thank you all again for the 1k followers! Can't wait to keep up the writing for you all!!!

Hi! Would you write Astarion x Rogue!Tav ? I always liked the idea of two rogues together, getting up to a bunch of mischief.
Inspired by my friend @psychicdreamlandpizza whose Tav is Tiefling Rogue
Thanks @rachelle-on-the-run @leomonae @glassphinixfor the ideas! NSWF version is coming later!
Astarion x Rogue!Tav
Masterlist
Headcanons
You are a street urchin, abandoned as a child.
You can only rely on yourself and no one else.
However, such a life didn't make you bitter.
You are a sarcastic rogue with a heart of gold.
You know lockpicking, deception, and many illegal stuff.
Of course, you knew stories of vampires using, the streets as their hunting spot.
You met them twice.
A tiefling woman. who tried to offer you a profitable job.
And an elf. who was selling his body.
You knew who they were and escaped.
Gods, why isn't there a vampire hunter when you need one?
You recognize the said elf at the shipwreck.
Before he manages to jump on you, you knock him down and put a dagger to his throat.
"Just tell me the reason why I shouldn't tell everyone you are a vampire?"
Now it's his dagger against your throat.
"Tell me the reason why I shouldn't tell everyone you are a thief and a criminal?"
Fair enough. It's not like you manage to keep secrets from the party, but you have an arrangement for a while.
You have a lot in common.
Basically, two feral cats, who try to gauge each other's eyes.
You have lockpicking races trying to open a door or a chest.
"I saw it first!", "I got to it first!", "I've been picking locks since before you were born, you little wretch!", "Exactly! Move, old man!"
Sometimes, failing perception checks and having to face a mimic.
You have charisma 20 and can make people love you without putting too much effort.
You can overdrink anyone and anything, but Astarion has to carry you away because you never know when to stop.
You always can get better deals and contracts, but your desire to help people (even for money) often goes sideways.
And it's Astarion's turn to get you out of trouble.
The intimacy of your partner helping you disarm a trap, knowing that a misstep could kill you both but also knowing that you've nothing to worry about because both of you trust the other's skills and steadiness.
And stitching wounds if one of you fucks up.
Sometimes it's you both.
Post-game, you stay together in Baldur's Gate, working as mercenaries and dreaming of earning a fortune.
You have a thing about luxury too, though, you've never had a chance to experience it.
You are two stray cats, finally having home.
The idea of sleeping comfortably in your bed feels weird.
Wearing clothes which are beautiful but not practical, too.
And you know when Astarion brings you something he hasn't bought it.
And you are more than fine with it.
You steal things for him, too.
Mostly, pieces of clothing. Sometimes jewelry. Often - books.
Date nights? How about breaking into someone's mansion whose owner has hoarded pieces of art and hidden them from people?
Goine through private galleries with Astarion giving you a lecture about art?
Or maybe swimming in someone's private pool?
And having sex in the rich people's luxury beds?
There are a lot of ways to have fun if you are two rogues!

Luke Alvez x Reader: Hormones
Description: You're feeling not-so-yourself during your pregnancy and Luke reassures you.
Word count: 1.2k
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
You were sprawled out on the couch, head resting on Luke’s lap. One of his hands was softly stroking your hair while the other rested lightly on your baby bump. The baby gave a little kick, causing the both of you to smirk.
“You hungry?” Luke asked in a raspy, tired voice. You sighed a bit. You had been a bit bummed out with all the baby weight you’d been gaining. And despite the growing human inside of your belly, you couldn't help but wonder if you should be trying to cut back. But between stress, hormones, and cravings, you were continuously losing that battle.
“I guess.”
“So, yes?” Luke chuckled. You nodded and lifted yourself off from him with a groan.
He quickly got up and looked down at you.
“Any requests?”
“Sandwich, please,” you offered him a weak smile.
Luke nodded then kneeled down. He placed his lips on yours before standing back up and walking into the kitchen to get the food.
You grabbed the remote to turn up the volume of the TV, barely hearing Luke return shortly after with a sandwich.
He placed the plate on the coffee table. “Anything else, baby?“
"Do we still have chips?” You asked. He smiled and nodded. “Oh and those pickle spears you bought,” you quickly added.
“Yes ma'am.”
“And can you grab the peanut butter?” By this time Luke turned around to look at you, an amused smile smeared across his face. “Oh and…..and….” You couldn’t continue talking as tears started to cloud your eyes. Almost instantly, your face crumpled, tears spilling the second you blinked. By instinct, you cover your face with your hands, hiding your embarrassment to the best of your ability.
“Baby–” Luke quietly muttered as he walked towards you. He got on his knees in front of you, splaying his large palms across the tops of your thighs. “Hey, hey, hey.”
"God… I’m so– Damnit, I don’t even know,” you sputtered, shaking your head.
“So what, baby?” Luke moved his hands from your thighs to your wrists. He gently tugged, attempting to move them away from your face. “Hey, look at me.”
Sighing defeatedly, you let Luke guide your arms down, showcasing your tear-stricken cheeks and pouty lips.
“What’s this all about?” he asked gently, eyes concerned, yet still adoring as they raked over you. God, even in the state you were in, you could tell how much this man loved you.
You tried to take a steadying breath, otherwise you’d never be able to speak. “I have gained,” you said slowly, “so much weight lately. And I just…” more tears slid down your cheeks. “I don’t feel– I don’t feel pretty anymore.”
“Baby–” Luke murmured agonizingly, his eyebrows furrowing into a fine line.
“I’m huge, yet I still can’t stop eating.”
“You’re pregnant,” he said simply, as if that explained everything.
“I’m huge even for a pregnant lady,” you said decidedly. “I’m disgusting. I feel it– I look it. I just… I don’t know how I’m supposed to do this for another three months.”
Luke sighed. “I know it’s not fair you have to do this part alone,” he empathized.
“What if–” you opened and then re-closed your mouth quickly, snapping it shut animatedly.
“What?” he urged you to continue.
You shook your head.
“Babe, please talk to me.”
Finally, you sighed. “What if you’re not attracted to me after all of this. I knew things would change, but my body is going to look entirely different. What if you don’t like it?”
Before he had a chance to answer, you continued. “It’s just– I’ve gained so much weight, and not just in my stomach–” you slapped your hands against your legs. “My legs rub. God, I’ve gone through like five pairs of leggings because I keep wearing holes in the thigh.”
Luke scoffed, “I’ll buy you an infinite supply of leggings.”
“That’s impossible,” you pouted back. “And my boobs–” you moved your hands so that they cupped your breasts. “My boobs are exploding.”
Luke smirked. “If you’re waiting for me to complain about that one, you’re going to be waiting a while.”
Your face dropped. “Did you have complaints about how they were before?” You felt the tears starting to well up in your eyes again as the hormones rushing through your body took absolute control.
“What?” Luke asked, bewildered. “No, baby, that’s not at all what I was saying.”
“What if they go back to normal after I have this baby, are you not going to like them anymore?” Your cheeks grew hot as you continued to cry.
“C’mon,” Luke said helplessly. He gave you a pleading look. “Of course I will-”
“What if I get saggy–” You continued to ramble, practically hysterical at this point. “What if my stomach gets even bigger after I have the baby because I stress eat? What if–” you swallowed a hiccup. “What if you don’t like me anymore? What if you’re not attracted to me anymore?”
“Baby, stop,” Luke said sternly, finally getting you to snap your mouth shut. He let go of your hands and moved to cup the sides of your face. “C’mon, baby. I love you so much. I love your body, too. God, you are so, so beautiful. And I’m always going to love it, even when it changes. Not just for how it looks, but because it’s part of you. Your body is what lets me hold you, it’s what lets us do things together. I mean, Christ, it’s growing us a child, right now. That’s so fucking amazing– your body is fucking amazing. And as long as your body lets me do this,” Luke leaned forward and planted his lips firmly against yours. It was a quick kiss– executed purely to make a point. But even still, when he pulled away, you felt breathless. “As long as your body lets me do that, I will love it in any size, shape, or form it wants to be in.”
And because he knew you were stubborn, he continued, “That means I’m going to love every inch of you, forever, no matter what. Fat, skinny, saggy.”
He wiped the tear that was falling down your cheek. “I know your body doesn’t feel like yours right now. And I know you’re tired and uncomfortable, and I also know that even though I know all of that, I don’t understand it. And I’m sorry that I can’t do anything to make any of that better. But I love you and I will always want you.”
Your lips trembled, your voice breaking as you spoke. “Promise?”
Luke let out a shaky laugh. “I promise. I promise with everything inside of me. I mean, you’re carrying my baby, my child.” He leaned down and pressed a kiss to your stomach. “You’re gonna make me a dad– I’m going to owe my whole life to your body. Cause that’s what you and this kid are going to be, baby. My entire life.”
You were teary eyed, but for a different reason this time.
“I’m sorry I get so crazy sometimes,” you whispered. You reached for his hand, lacing your fingers through his.
Luke lifted your knuckles to his mouth, where he placed a soft kiss against your skin. “You’re not crazy, you’re pregnant,” he said.

A Ran Haitani fanfiction penned by Matsur1
Warnings: Just a bit of swearing, mentions of blood, and violence
Word Count: 1.8k
A/n: I HAVE BEEN ON A LONG LONG HIATUS AND I MISSED WRITING THESE SM!!! I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THISSSS!! I enjoyed writing thisss so muchhh so I hope you enjoy this as much as I diddd. It's not proofread yettt btww hehe🫶 andd! Credits to 주호 on twitter for the pic I used on the title heading! xoxo
He was breathing, drunk and alive. Your husband, Ran Haitani, went missing the whole night, and although your marriage was an arranged one and you aren’t as close as married couples should be, you were really worried about what might’ve happened to him. Turns out he just went drinking the whole night with his friends and is now sprawled on the floor of your penthouse in broad daylight.
“Alright, come on now buddy. We gotta move you to the bed,” you tell him as you pick up his arm and put it over your shoulder. He groans, “Buddy? Hate to break it to you honey but I’m your husband.” You scoffed, “Yeah, my arranged husband. You know we both never wanted this.” You lay him down on the bed and he opens his eyes to look at you, “You can’t be so sure,” he says. “What?” you ask in shock and confusion while he closes his eyes shut. “Are you that drunk to be saying crazy things?” you sigh, “I’ll get you water, sit down for a moment.” You walk towards the fridge to get a glass of water without knowing Ran has a sly smirk on his face. He wipes it off as soon as you come back with a glass of water though. “Here, drink up,” you spoke while you hold his chin, slowly tilting the glass so he could drink.
Later that afternoon, when he finally woke up sober, his first thought was you. “Y/N?” he calls out as he walks around, looking for you. “Yeah?” you answer him, getting out of the closet, meeting him. He towers you by a lot, so you look up in order to look into his eyes. “There’s food in the kitchen, in case you’re hungry. Should be able to help with a hangover too.” He looks at you with a question mark written all over his face. “Yeah? Well, have you already eaten?” he questions you. Now, you weren’t as close as a married couple but you were somewhat close. You often had conversations when you’re both home, you ate meals together. I guess you could say you both were close strangers. Not friends, close strangers. Even friends would know more information about each other, but you two, you know absolutely nothing about each other. Perhaps about each other’s personality but never about your separate lives. “Yeah, yes I have. I’m actually heading out right now, we ran out of butter. Anything else you want me to buy?” you respond to him. He thought for a minute, “No, not really,” he reaches for his back pocket and grabs his wallet, “Here, use this,” he hands over his credit card. “No, it’s fine. I have some cash,” you insisted. “Well, I can’t be having my wife pay for the groceries now, can I?” he insisted better. You scoff and give him a little smile, “Alright then, husband.” Teasing as always, you thought as you take his offer and start to head out.
After you successfully bought butter and flavored sparkling drinks for you and Ran, you decided to finally head back home. Home to your penthouse, which you begged for from Ran. Well, to be fair he wanted to live in a whole mansion and you honestly didn’t want such a grand thing just for an arranged marriage. He kept insisting on the mansion thing but a penthouse sounded more comfortable for you.
You ride the elevator up to your penthouse, meeting with a very big man full of tattoos. It really sends the chills up your spine but you weren’t fazed to be met with that kind of man in this area. There are a lot of gangs and such where you and Ran live, so seeing a gangster here and there doesn’t shock you at all. Especially since you are in one. But not a single soul knows about that, you rarely even go out, and people during the night can’t possibly recognize you. Not that anyone needs to know. But then he strangely smiles when he sees you ride the elevator with him. Lucky you, not only is he a gangster, but he’s a pervert too. How you wished this ride would only last a second.
“Well well well, if it isn’t the well-known Vixen.” Your train of thoughts stop at the sudden voice you hear behind you. Shit, you thought, tightening your grip on the grocery bag you’re holding. You could only hope he was talking about someone else, but there’s no one else except you and him. Him and you. “And Bonten Ran’s wife too?” he smugly asks. Bonten? As in the most famous wanted gang in all Tokyo? Pfft, and Ran? No, that’s impossible. I would’ve at least known or found out at some point. Right? You slowly turn around him, hoping to turn this situation around as well. “I’m sorry? Well, I sure am Ran’s wife, but I’m not so sure about the Vixen and Bonten thing you’re talking about,” you give him a forced smile. Why the hell is this elevator ride taking so long, you thought. He laughs, “Are you kidding me, girlie? Ain’t no way I would mistake the Vixen for someone else. I know it when I see it.” He lifts his hand, gripping your jaw, testing you, “Ain’t I lucky now? Boss would sure be happy if I brought the Vixen to him. The Vixen who killed his best friend.” You scoff, “You wish, now take your hands off of me,” you threaten him. “You know, now that I look at it, you’re just a weakling. What could that small body of yours do against mine?” he tightens the grip on your jaw. “But anyway, you don’t know ‘bout your husband?” He sure is talkative. You glare at him and start to hold his wrist, “About him and what?” you ask curiously. “Bonten.” He says confidently. “He isn’t in Bonten. Now let go before I do things that’d make you go home crying to your boss.” His eyes widen, he starts to laugh even more loudly, “So you really don’t know about him? When he knows about you? And here I thought you were rumored to be crazily smart.” He’s really getting on your nerves now. But knows about you? Ran knows everything about you and didn’t even bother saying a word? He knows everything about you when you don’t know everything about him? Talk about marriage. You slyly get the pocket knife you had in your pocket and quickly swung it on the pulse at his wrist. His eyes widen, his body slowly sliding down the elevator floor. You look down at his body, kicking it to make sure he’s unable. You motioned to put the knife back into your pocket when you noticed the blood on your blouse. Great, this day’s really been doing nothing but put you in a bad mood. You put the knife back anyway, turning around once again and realizing the elevator buttons were all pushed. No wonder the ride was never-ending. You let out a tsk and patiently wait until you reach your penthouse. Oh, you were so ready to confront your dear husband.
As soon as the elevator doors open to your penthouse, you leave the body in the elevator, leaving it up to whoever sees that. To be honest, you could care less about the world because right now all that’s in your mind right now is killing Ran. You drop the grocery bag at the entrance, angrily removing your shoes as Ran greets you in a cheerful tone. “Welcome back home, Darling.” He doesn’t even bother looking at you, he’s too busy watching TV. “You got something to tell me, honey?” you question him in an angry tone. He was now confused, again. So confused he finally decides to look at you. His eyes widen when he sees the blood on your blouse. “Oh my God, Y/N! Is that your blood?” he panics. The genuine worry in his eyes just wants to make you forget about everything and kiss him instead, but no, you and Ran have a lot to unfold. “Don’t worry, Love. It’s not mine.” You respond mockingly. “What-“ you cut him off, “You knew about me?? And Bonten???? What’s that about! You knew everything about me when I didn’t even know a single thing about you!!!” You shout at his face, the betrayal in your eyes visible. His eyes widen even more, “Woah, slow down. What? About you? What do you mean?” Oh now he’s trying to act innocent? “Me! The Vixen! Stop trying to act innocent!!” you remark. “The Vixen?” he slowly processed this information, then he started to laugh. Now it was your turn to be confused. What was he laughing about? “Oh my Darling!” he walks toward you and hugs you. “Stop this. It isn’t something to celebrate about. Do you have any idea how frustrated this makes me feel? For years! For years I held back from getting to know you because this- this whole thing between us is arranged! I wanted to know so much about my husband even though he was arranged for me but I didn’t bother knowing because I thought you didn’t want all this! And all of a sudden you know almost everything about me? Do you know how unfair that is to me?” you rant to him, almost running out of breath. He loosens the hug, looking at you genuinely. “What?? What’s happening now?” you ask, still mad about the things happening. “You wanted to know more about me?” His voice softens. “Of course I do! You’re my husband, arranged or not, you’re still my husband so of course I’d want to” you start to cry, covering your face. “Oh doll face, I’m sorry.” He leans down and kisses the top of your head. “I’m so sorry,” he whispers. “But I didn’t know you were the Vixen, I never did. And yes, I am a part of Bonten. I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you. You know how I always put makeup on my tattoo just to hide it from you? I was terrified of the thought that you’d be scared of me,” he chuckles. Your tears suddenly stop, now you’re even more confused. “What? You didn’t know? But the- the man in the elevator told me you knew.” You explain to him, looking up at his eyes. His beautiful, genuine eyes. “Man in the elevator? Is he, you know, the one who owns that blood?” he points at your blouse. “Well yes, he got into my nerves and-“ He puts a finger on top of your lips, shushing you. “Well, at least now we know each other a bit better,” he places his forehead on top of yours. “I’m sorry, Y/N. I didn’t know. You always went on about how we never wanted this so I figured you didn’t want to get too involved in this.” Oh. The silence went on for quite a few minutes. Finally, you found the courage to voice out, “It isn’t too late now, is it?” you asked, almost in a whisper. He softly chuckles at your question, “No. Of course not, my lovely wife.”

Are you plannnig on doing a part two to ode to ruination? It is so good! you are fantastic
An Ode to Temptation | T.S.
Tumblr media
PAIRING: Tommy Shelby x f!reader
WORD COUNT: 1.3K
WARNINGS: canon-typical things, talk of food/eating, Angst, smooches, guns being pointed, angst, drinking/being drunk, etc.
A/N: Hello!! I actually received A LOT of requests for this, which thank you all so much for the love!! I thought about it and Tried to write something, but I just wasn't feeling it AT ALL or as an ~ official ~ part II. BUT, I'll post the Rough Draft here.
Be kind; she's all over the place with rushed ideas/unedited/unfinished parts. Comments are always welcomed. Enjoy.
You were a master of speaking silently—you've spoken silently all your life, and you’ve had to live through entire tragedies because of it. However, once the yelling and failed attempts to leave wore out, it had become weeks of the same; the days held a repetitive blandness.
Your mornings were spent isolated, the overwhelming echo of the estate’s silence guiding you. The loneliness didn’t seep in until the afternoon when the rain forbade you from stepping past the door frame. However, the nights were unbearable. Even if you didn’t see or hear when Tommy came home, you could feel how the walls groaned at his presence.
You knew the maids whispered; you would, too, in their position. Nothing explained your sudden presence or what felt like your lack thereof. If anything, you were the ghost that haunted the house.
For your own good, you were told.
Tommy had fooled you that night. The party was performative, a distraction while he sent someone for your things. If Ada had known, you don’t doubt she would have tried to stop him. Or at least bought you some time. However, if she had realized your life was in danger, she would have already bought your ticket to skip town. Regardless, your destiny was determined.
You comforted yourself by the fire when your thoughts became overwhelming. It warmed your feet while the gin resting precariously on the chair’s arm soothed the pit in your chest. At some point, you stopped portioning yourself a glass. Holding the bottle by the neck, you lulled yourself further into the cushion with every slug.
“Not eating now, eh?” Tommy threw down his jacket in habit, marking his entrance. The sigh that followed conveyed his annoyance.
You looked up from the fire at the intrusion. You couldn’t decide if he was earlier than usual or if the grandfather clock was lying to you. Either way, you tipped your head against the side of the chair for solace.
“You want my attention, that it? Well, you ’ave it. ” The strike of his match was motivated by agitation. On the first exhale of his newly-lit cigarette, he said, “Don’t waste it.”
Tommy’s eyes bore into yours blankly. There were other things on his mind that even you thought were more pressing. You knew he found it easier to treat you like business than anything else. Tenderness was reserved for the nights the tunnels became too claustrophobic.
“Your cook’s shite.” You mocked drunkenly.
Hailed all the way from Italy, the chef you insulted was anything but. Nor was he at fault for your lack of appetite. It was childish behavior, but everything had become tit for tat. Tommy knew what you were doing, able to lure him in with such superficial words.
The call received was passed through his secretary only to be brushed off—another complaint of your behavior. They always reflected stubbornness, the same determination as the tales of the boy who cried wolf. And yet, Tommy struggled to ignore it as it frequented.
“Right…” Tommy ceded to himself. His frustrations were in vain, and he reminded himself he could be fair. “Let’s get something in you.”
“Offering to cook, hmm?” Your eyebrows raised in genuine amusement. He knew you well enough that you craved company. “Or is that below the Thomas Shelby?”
Something swirled in his chest, but Tommy brought the cigarette to his lips to suffocate it. Yet, with his free hand, he held it out to you.
When you were children, you barely knew Tommy. To you, he was just one of the Shelbys. You often confused him for his brothers, but he became definite when you finally spoke to him. Overlapped memories crowded the logistics of the conversation, but you could never forget your appreciation for someone like him.
The memory should have been bleak; the funeral brought lightening that highlighted every tear that streamed down your mother’s face. She was an unmoveable force, and for some reason seeing your mother break changed your own grief.
Neither of you nor Tommy had the capacity to understand death the way you knew it now, but Tommy guided that grief with knowledge beyond his years. You learned to grieve someone you didn’t know you could love.
The simplicity of the action entwined your lives, but it was lost after France. Everyone, including yourself, had changed. But for the moment, eyes closed, the memory made the thought fade.
You slid onto the kitchen counter, catching how Tommy rolled his sleeve until it met his forearm.
The actuality of the situation hadn’t hit you yet until you filled the humming silence. “I barely recognize you…”
Tommy seemed content entertaining you. It was the first time you’d offered him your undivided attention. “’m all heart tonight.”
“That it?” You mused, head cocking to take him in. Your tone was deceiving, posing genuine curiosity over your inner dissent.
Tommy was attentive, though, listening even as you trailed off into mumbling. However, he remained dexterous, concocting something simple. He knew the things you held dear, the comfort you found in your childhood food.
He had even memorized the particularities of their preparation; jam spread with a spoon from left to right; sandwiches cut diagonally, warmed to be able to feel its nourishment travel down; tea so hot that the heaping amount of sugar disappeared with one stir.
Tommy slid the plate to you, a mix of what he could find that hadn’t spoiled by the end of the day. He leaned back, arms tight across his chest as he waited for you to indulge. However, you slid it back to him first.
“Didn’t poison it…” He said, picking at the plate to prove his point. You rarely witnessed his appetite outside of cigarettes and booze.
You nudged him as you extended your dangling leg. There was no thought behind the action, but the attention pulled him closer to hear your words. “And I should trust your word?”
With a sigh of your name, the food was forgotten—Tommy took the bait.
“I can’t do this anymore.” You shook your head softly, the action dizzying. Without his jacket, the skeleton of Tommy’s gun holster highlighted his frame. It made it easy to place him between your legs.
He just wanted, needed, you safe. “It’s only until things settle in—
“London.” You finished the repeated lie. “Why is that, Tommy?”
You wanted to hear his confession. You knew why people were after you; you were leverage against such an unbreakable man. However, they seemed to understand Tommy’s feelings better than you. He never said it aloud. It had been years, decades, of a mutual lure that purposefully avoided the judgment you held for Tommy’s decisions or actions, ones you never compromised with.
For him, you were it.
“Tom?” You prompted again. You could see his struggle to form an admission even in your state.
Tommy broke.
He caved into you, your lips meeting his hesitantly but meeting with a longed-for firmness. Each time he pulled away, he only returned with more tenderness—the breaks between lessened, and so did the distance between your chests.
You almost got lost in something you spent years yearning for. However, you moved slowly in the way you knew would distract him. With the first layer of his guard down, the leather straps of his gun holster caught on your fingertips as you trailed along his shoulders. His body was yours; his shudder proved so.
Yet, once you hit metal, Tommy’s laugh mocked your insincerity.
You expected your hands to tremble. You hoped they would see if you had any trace of regret in the action. However, it felt freeing to rest Tommy's gun just below his chin. In your hands, it grew warm, a transferable heat of anticipation waiting for its purpose only you could provide.
Tommy's grip on you remained firm at the hips, lips still ghosting your own as he turned your threat into his own. “Go on, then. I taught you well."

Hello!
Got any headcanons about Bruce and Khoa's training years that hasn't been shown in the sacred texts (a.k.a. comics when they're good)?
Feel free to ramble, I look forward to reading everything you write <3
You’re gonna make me blush, seriously. Accept this humble offering 😳🌹:
They used to exchange clothes a lot (half homoeroticism, half they just didn't care that much), so usually, when they were on good terms and traveling together, none of them bothered to pay attention to whose clothes belonged to whom, they just took whatever they liked, bitched about any piece that wasn’t to their tastes and made sure everything was packed when they left.
That made their separations a lot more embarrassing ‘cause they could either just take the first bag they saw and leave dramatically (running the risk of ending up with no underwear and no pants ‘cause they were all in the other bag) or have to stop to rearrange and separate the clothes, and THEN leave dramatically.
Can’t decide which one of them would get angry enough to just leave all the clothes, take only the equipment (the only thing they maintained separately) and go away. Probably both. And probably at the same time, leaving the clothes to be taken by their landlord/last mentor
I think they were constantly working on some project to improve the technology and equipment they had. Most often than not they would be making a competition out of it, but when they wanted to, they could work really well together, and since they didn’t have anyone else, they were the only ones they could go to when they needed help or a second opinion on something
I like to think bruce helped khoa to develop the fabric he uses on his mask to see through it even when it covers both his eyes, just bc of the angst of khoa carrying this proof of what they could accomplish together everywhere he goes
They probably stopped at all those technology fairs and stumbled upon each other accidentally more than once even when they were actively avoiding each other just because they couldn’t help being such huge nerds
Once they were in Australia and encountered one of these fellas:
Tumblr media
and this is how khoa knows bruce is afraid of bats. <- also probably one of his fondest memories, ‘cause bruce was having the worst time of his life and he was laughing his ass off
The first time they went out to test their abilities fighting crime, khoa was already using his signature mask, but bruce (who refused the spare one khoa so magnanimously offered him) just made them stop at a random store and bought a zorro halloween mask ‘cause a) he couldn’t be bothered, b) he has a morbid sense of humor and c) he knew khoa would get pissed (on top of making fun of his name, I bet bruce also made fun of him insisting on covering his eyes with the mask for no good reason other than to look cooler).
Tumblr media
Even when they were feeling an achillean rage towards each other, standing side by side or back to back in a room full of other people brought a sense of calmness and security to both of them, ‘cause they knew that if anything went bad in whatever situation they were in, they would be dealing with it together <3

Author's Note: Happy (late) Valentine's Day!! I literally got the idea for this one the day of the holiday and proceeded to write this, thinking it would be at max like 2,000 words. So, yeah, this one kinda got away from me. Anyway, this is dedicated to @ofthecaravel for being more enthusiastic about this idea than I was (she also made the cover pic so everyone say thank you, Karou). Title taken from Enchanted by Taylor Swift. Please enjoy!! <3

When Danny had the idea to go to the art fair near his house, he hadn’t thought he’d be walking away with an honest to god love potion. I mean, those aren’t real, right?? It’s all just made up for awful rom-coms and Disney movies. So, when that witchy woman had stopped him and gave it to him for free, he thought nothing of it.
He had been weaving through the various booths, eyes catching on all the colorful and sometimes gaudy wares these artists were trying to pedal. Some of them were honestly good, others were just clearly trying to make a quick buck. Danny bought a few things; a few jewelry pieces he thought were cute and a fresh squeezed lemonade.
“Danny?” a woman had spoken up, catching the drummer’s attention. He tensed up at being called out, hoping he wouldn’t be recognized but knowing it was always a possibility every time he left his house.
Schooling his features to be warm and inviting, Daniel turned on his heel to face the woman. She was what Danny could only describe as a “contemporary witch”, complete with long, black hair and a revealing yet classy black dress and a wide-brimmed black hat. Danny had to suppress his scoff at how on the nose she looked, glancing around her clearly witch-themed, yet populated, booth. But, it clearly worked to help sell her goods, so who was he to judge.
“Hey!” he responded, abandoning his wandering and making his way over to her. She smiled widely at him, her eyes lighting up as he approached.
“Oh, my god. My friends are never gonna believe me,” she rushed, her tattooed hands fluttering to her chest.
“How about we get a picture to prove it to them?” he offered, having gone through this enough times over the years to know that that was what most people were after when they spotted him.
She nodded, searching frantically for her phone. When she pulled it out from behind the register, Daniel noticed two things. One; her hands were shaking. Two; her lock screen was a picture of him and Sam posed together. It was a picture of them on stage, embracing and beaming at one another and - wow, is that really what he looks like when he smiles at Sam?
They took their picture, her asking for a hug from him which he happily gave her.
“So, what brings you over this way?” the woman - ironically named Greta - asked, leaning against the table she had set her register up on. Danny worried for a second as her long hair passed over a candle, only for him to realize it wasn’t real.
“Had a free afternoon to myself, thought I’d check the art fair out,” he answered honestly, a shrug of his shoulders tacked on at the end.
She nodded acceptingly. “Find anything interesting?”
Danny held up his fingers, wiggling them to show off the rings he purchased as well as shook his cup of lemonade in front of her, smiling. She laughed, her head tipping back a bit to show off a moth tattoo that rested under her clavicles.
“That’s all, huh? You must be pretty picky.” She looked him up and down, her eyes feeling strangely like they were able to see past his physical form. Danny blamed that on the witch-themed booth she ran.
Danny shrugged again. He didn’t think he was, but then again maybe he was.
“Here,” she blurted out, jumping up from her perch to brush past him to go deeper into her booth. Daniel watched as she stopped in front of a display of bowls that held vials of various shapes and sizes. Each one was sorted by color, some of them even seeming to glow which made Daniel do a double take. There was probably just a light fixed at the base of the bowl to give them that effect.
“On the house,” Greta chirped before tossing something at Daniel. He instinctively caught it, letting out a breath of relief that he had. When he got a proper look at it, Danny realized that she had thrown him a vial of baby pink liquid that had been sealed in a teardrop shaped glass vial. The top was a gradient into Barbie pink and formed to a point, sharp enough to probably kill a man. Daniel turned it over in his hand, the liquid sparkling in the light of the sun streaming in through an opening in the tent he was in.
“What is this?” he dumbly asked, already knowing what the hell it was.
“A love potion,” Greta flippantly answered. When Danny snapped his head up to look at the woman, he saw the mischievous glint in her eye that never reached her soft smile.
Daniel coughed on his own spit as he swallowed wrong. He covered it up by taking a few sips of his lemonade. He had no idea how to react to that.
“Uhh… that’s really kind of you, but I can’t take this.”
“Nonsense. I insist,” she pressed, waving off his concerns with a wave of her hand.
Daniel looked back and forth between the woman and the vial in his hand, weighing the pros and cons. Then he realized how ridiculous he was being. It was a kind gesture and love potions weren’t real.
He tucked the vial into his pocket of his jean jacket and smiled. “Thanks!”
“My pleasure,” she answered, that devilish gleam back in her eye as well as that feeling that she was seeing through him rather than at him, “and trust me, you will be thanking me later.”
That made Daniel chuckle a bit nervously. She was starting to creep him out a bit; time to make a quick exit.
“Right, well. Maybe I’ll see you at one of our upcoming shows!” Danny politely suggested, already backing out the way he had come in.
“Of course! Talk to you later!” Greta’s last sentence sent a shiver up Danny’s spine. It felt like a promise rather than a send off.
With one last quick smile, Danny got his ass out of there and trotted down the booths to get away. He definitely wanted to toss that so-called “love potion” away now. There was no telling what was actually in it. He’d just throw it into the next trash can he saw.
+++
Daniel did not toss it away. Instead, he forgot about it completely and left it in his jacket pocket. It stayed there for a month, silently waiting for the next time someone would wear that jacket and find it.
“Hey, Dan!” Danny was in his kitchen taking some ibuprofen for the headache he was fighting when he heard Sam call out for him.
With a big gulp and a gag he didn’t even try to suppress as he felt the pills catch on the side of his throat, Danny responded with a shout of his own. “Yeah?!”
“Can I borrow a jacket?! It’s cold as balls out and I don’t have one!”
Setting his empty glass of water in the sink, Daniel ran a hand through his curls. Sam had stopped over at Danny’s before the band’s scheduled studio time so the two of them could carpool.
“Yeah!” he shouted back. He went through a mental checklist to make sure he had everything he needed before he left, adding Sam to the bottom of that list.
“What the fuck is this in your pocket?!” Sam called out again, breaking through Danny’s concentration.
“I don’t know! I’m not over there!”
It was quiet again for a moment, Danny quickly going through his checklist again as he passed by his laundry room to grab some socks from the pile.
“Can I drink it?!”
Daniel, starting to get a little frustrated by Sam’s antics already, huffed out in exasperation.
“Go ahead!” he screamed harsher than he had meant to. But, really, how the hell was Daniel meant to know what the fuck Sam was talking about. It probably was a shot of fireball or something he never drank. And if Sam wanted to be tipsy while they recorded… Well, it wouldn’t be the first time.
“It tastes like bubblegum!” Sam excitedly exclaimed, his voice louder as Danny was just around the corner from where he was stationed by the front door.
“That’s great, buddy,” Daniel dismissed, walking past him briefly as he went to grab his sticks from the living room. Doing the pat down on his pockets to make sure he had his keys and wallet, Daniel finally rounded the corner to his front door only to see Sam sprawled out on the ground.
“Sam?” Danny cautiously asked, hoping Sam was just being theatrical over how long Danny was taking to leave.
But then he didn’t answer. Or move, for that matter.
“Sammy?!” Daniel was distraught now, tossing his sticks to the side as he kneeled down next to Sam to shake him.
He still wasn’t stirring, but at least his chest was moving. Daniel frantically searched for a pulse, lifting up his hand to check his wrist. That was when he spotted the nearly empty teardrop shaped vial in Sam’s hand and Danny’s heart sank even further.
“No no no no-” Danny chanted under his breath, pressing his fingers into Sam’s wrist. His heart rate slowed a bit when he was able to feel Sam’s pulse in his fingertips. He sighed deeply, feeling his shoulders sag in relief.
“C’mon, Sammy,” Danny implored, grabbing his friend by the shoulders and began to shake him. It wasn’t hard, but it was enough to make his head loll around his shoulders.
When that didn’t work, Danny bit his lip as his brow knit together. He had an idea, but he’d feel awful for going through with it. With another sigh, Daniel resigned himself to it.
“I’m sorry, Sam,” he murmured, pulling his right hand off the bassist’s shoulder. He reared it back and smacked it smartly against his friend’s cheek. Cringing at how loud the slap resounded in the echo-y chamber of his vestibule, Daniel smoothed his hand back over the pink mark blossoming on Sam’s face.
It worked, to Danny’s utter relief.
Sam’s eyes fluttered open as Daniel caressed his fingers across the angry outline of his hand, groaning as he lifted his hand to his forehead.
“What the hell happened?” Sam grumbled out, sitting up on his own. Danny sat back onto his heels, raking his eyes over Sam to check for any signs of danger.
“You drank the vial in my jacket and passed out, I guess,” Daniel tried to explain, the concern leaking through his tone. Sam still had yet to look at Danny, his eyes having shut once more as he sat fully upright.
Huffing out a laugh, Sam looked at the vial in his hand, a drop of that baby pink liquid slipping out of the opening and splattering onto the floor. He turned it over in his fingers a few times before he spoke again. “Hell of a rush.”
Daniel couldn’t help but snort, his worries easing significantly at the joke. Sam was going to be ok. Maybe a little groggy, but ok. That Greta girl should count herself lucky nothing worse had happened to Sam or else he’d bring down hell around her ears for hurting his best friend.
“Alright, Sam. Let’s get you up or else we’ll be late for studio time,” Danny grunted out as he hauled Sam up to his feet by his arm.
“Right, right,” Sam quietly answered, his hair flying out around him as he shook his head to presumably clear it.
And that was when Sam looked at Danny for the first time since he fell.
“I’m so fucking in love with you.”
+++
“Hey, guys, we might want to reschedule.”
“Yeah? And why is that?” Jake was the first one to look over at Daniel. And when he did, Danny watched as his entire body went rigid as his eyes flew wide open.
“Something wrong- oh my god.” That was Josh, this time. And just like Jake, Josh’s eyes got comically wide as he took in the sight of Danny and Sam.
And Daniel really couldn’t blame them. He’d have the same reaction if he saw his little brother clinging onto his best friend as if his life depended on it.
Sam had long since jumped into Danny’s arms, his arms and legs wrapped around Daniel as if he were a monkey and Daniel his favorite tree. He had refused to get down, Danny having tried to fight him in the parking lot before entering the studio to get him to walk on his own, but Sam was having none of it. Even on the drive over, Sam had tried to climb into Danny’s lap a few times all while gushing about how pretty he thought Danny was. He finally got Sam to stay in his seat after promising to hold his hand as he drove. But as soon as they stepped out of the car, it was no holds barred.
“What the hell is he doing?” Jake asked, his eyes still locked onto his baby brother’s strange behavior.
“I’m holding the love of my life!” Sam answered for Daniel. And if Daniel’s face wasn’t burning before, he was certain it was set ablaze by that. And the worst part was Daniel could tell Sam was using a genuine tone.
He watched the twins look between the two rhythm section members, their lips pursing as they took in the sight. Daniel wanted to hide his face in his hands, but they were currently holding his obnoxious best friend so he couldn’t.
“Oooooooooo-k. Umm, what the fuck is going on?” Josh had abandoned his station at his microphone, setting the equipment down on a chair to his left before he joined Jake at his side.
Danny sighed, his eyes closing in shame. He wanted to look everywhere else but at the twins and their calculating and bewildered gazes.
“You wouldn't believe me if I told you.” Daniel let out a squeak after he spoke, Sam surprising him with kisses he placed on the side of Danny’s neck where his head was nuzzled. He tried to pull away, but Sam just chased after him with his lips.
“Try us,” Josh answered, his arms crossing over his chest as his hip popped out. Jake was idly fiddling with his guitar, probably not even aware that he was playing at all, but his eyes never left Danny.
With a deep sigh, Daniel launched into the story of Greta and her stupid fucking love potion. While he was explaining, he knew his story sounded made up. I mean, for god’s sake, the titular character shared the name of their band. It just sounded like he was caught in a lie. The only thing he knew would work in his favor was the potion vial that he had the foresight of bringing with him.
It was a fight, but Daniel was able to wrangle Sam off of him and set his feet on the floor. However, the man still refused to let go of him completely. So Daniel had to live with Sam resting his head on his shoulder and wrapping his arms around Danny’s torso. With his hands finally free, Daniel was able to fish that vial out of his pocket and toss it over to the twins.
Josh caught it, Jake watching it sail over towards his twin with his eyes. Daniel watched as they inspected it, the baby pink liquid still shimmering in the light. He pointedly ignored Sam and his embarrassing antics. Or, at least he tried to. It was very hard when he kept peppering kisses all over Danny’s cheek and neck as he spoke sweet nothings into his ear. Danny felt shivers dance their way across his skin, his veins warming at all the contact and compliments. But he refused to indulge in them. Sam was not himself right now and he would be damned if he was going to take advantage of him. But, they still felt nice.
After a few seconds of turning over the evil liquid, Josh tossed it back over to Daniel.
“Alright,” Jake started, pulling the cord out of his guitar, “we believe you.”
“Really?” Danny was truly bewildered. He thought the twins were going to think it was some kind of stupid prank they were trying to pull on them. He was actually relieved they did.
“Yeah. We’ve never seen Sam act this way before. Plus he’s a dog shit actor,” Josh answered, a laugh escaping his lips after the last sentence. Danny had to agree; he’d seen the movies Josh had made where Sam was the lead. There weren’t that many.
“Oh, thank god. Because I need help.” Daniel’s tone was desperate, his hands trying to pull Sam’s off his waist. But every time he tried, Sam would just slide them back into place. He eventually gave up, huffing in resignation as Sam giggled in his ear. “Yeah, I’m gonna be honest with you on this one. I don’t know where we’ll even start,” Jake bluntly pointed out, placing his guitar on its stand.
“What if you two try to contact the people who organized the fair and see if you can find the woman who sold me the…” God help him, “...the potion.”
“Yeah, alright. What are you going to do?” Josh was already pulling out his phone, not looking at Danny as he spoke.
“I’m going to see if maybe she posted that picture and contact her that way,” Daniel explained, having to shove Sam’s hips away from his own in order to get his phone from his back pocket.
“Sounds like a plan. But how about we don’t do this here,” Jake posited, his eyes sliding over to where their producer and mixer were watching raptly as Sammy placed yet another series of kisses onto Danny.
They all agreed. They wanted to spare both men as much embarrassment as possible and also minimize the possibility of this leaking and sending the wrong message to their fan base.
Daniel offered up his house considering it was the closest.
“And I’ll drive lovebug here, too.” Danny hooked his thumb towards where Sammy’s face was pressed into the side of Danny’s, a dopey smile on his face as he nuzzled deeper into Danny.
“I don’t think you have a choice,” Josh so helpfully pointed out, trying poorly to suppress a laugh.
“Yeah, ha ha. Let’s go,” Daniel sharply ordered, trying once more to rip Sam’s arms off of him and failing.
“No, no, wait. Let us get one video for blackmail,” Jake quickly requested, already having his phone out and pointed at the two.
Danny, knowing that there was no way they’d relent, groaned and let Jake record his misery.
“Alright, Sammy. Tell us how you feel about Daniel,” Jake prompted, the laugh in his voice barely contained. The youngest perked up at the question, his smile getting brighter.
“Well, where do I even begin! There’s so much I feel about him,” Sam cooed, resting his chin against Danny’s shoulder as he spoke. Danny felt Sam’s hair slip off his own shoulder as Sam tilted his head to get a better look at Danny.
“Why don’t you start with the physical,” Josh, that bastard, piped up. Danny shot him a glare, Josh only responding with an “innocent” smile.
“Oh! That’s easy! He’s got these beautiful dark eyes that you can easily get lost in. They’re this gorgeous shade of amber brown that have this nice green in them that remind me of moss in the forest. Oh! And when they catch the light just right they’re so bright and I get butterflies. And speaking of butterflies, when he smiles at me I can’t help but feel like I’m going to pass out from how beautifully warm and overwhelming it is-”
“Alright,” Danny squeaked out, his voice cracking as his face began to heat up, “that’s enough.”
“No, no, we’re just getting to the good part. Sam, what else about Danny do you like?” Danny bared his teeth at Jake. He knew it was ineffective, what, with his face burning as bright as a stop light.
“Oh, his arms are really nice. I love it when he picks me up because then I can feel them flexing and it makes me all dizzy.” Sam’s voice was dripping in honey. It was so sweet it made Danny’s stomach ache.
“Really? And what about his freckles?”
“One of his best features, definitely. They get all dark and prominent in the summer when he gets more sun. He’s got 137 of them!”
“Alright that’s-”
“And what about Danny’s personality?”
“He’s the sweetest guy ever! I swear, he’s so sweet he gives me cavities. Like this one time, I was feeling really down in the dumps and then Danny went out of his way to get me a case of my favorite beer and made me laugh so hard I nearly pissed myself. He just knows me sooooo well. And also he takes care of Rose the best and he is always so gentle and loving with her… what isn’t there to love?”
“Ok, show’s over. We’re done here,” Daniel firmly decided, reaching out to yank Jake’s phone away from him and end the recording, holding it out of Jake’s reach as he tried to grab it back from him.
Danny tossed it back at him when he was done, watching the guitarist nearly fumble the device to the ground. He shot Danny a confused look at his shift in mood, but he didn’t respond. He simply held onto Sam’s arms as he turned the two of them around and made for the door.
As they walked to the car, Daniel pointedly did not think about the fact that Sam apparently just seemed to know how many freckles Danny had off the top of his head. Or how that made his heart flutter within his chest.
+++
The car ride back was considerably less dangerous than the drive over; Sam hadn’t tried to climb into Danny’s lap since he preemptively laced their fingers together. However, Sammy hadn’t stopped talking. And it wasn’t his usual babbling, no. It was much worse.
“I love you.”
“I know.”
“I love you.”
“I know.” The shock of it had worn off at the thirtieth time Sammy had confessed it to Danny, that first time making the drummer jump out of his skin. Now it was just getting annoying, like the beep of a smoke detector.
“You’re really hot,” Sam giggled, leaning his head across the consul and bumping it into Danny’s shoulder.
Danny just groaned, throwing his head into the headrest behind him and asking god what he did wrong to deserve this cruel and unusual punishment. It was one thing to toy with his destiny, it was another entirely to play around with his emotions.
“I hope we fucking crash,” he whined, the light turning green and taking his foot off the brake.
“I hope we fuck.”
Daniel felt his foot involuntarily slam down on the gas, forcing the both of them to jerk back in their seats as the engine loudly revved like an animal letting out a warning growl. Danny whipped his head over to Sam briefly, taking in his lashes batting flirtatiously and his wolfish grin. The driver felt his heart pounding in his chest, ripping his eyes away from his distracting passenger and forcing himself to look at the road.
“What?” he croaked out, not really wanting to hear it again but also wanting to know if he heard Sam right.
“You heard me,” was all Sam spoke in response, a dangerously flirtatious edge to his words that made Danny’s heart lurch in his chest.
“Just… Just keep those thoughts to yourself, ok?”
“Ok!” Sam cheerfully agreed, settling back down onto Danny’s shoulder. That was another thing about this that was driving Daniel slowly insane: Sam did almost everything Danny asked of him.
He was so, utterly fucked.
+++
“Ok, so Greta must be a popular name among artists or something because the fair organizer said there were about thirty booths registered under that name,” Jake explained after hanging up the phone. He tapped his pen on the pad of paper he’d been writing on idly, turned towards Danny’s spot on his couch. Sammy had tackled him onto it, curling up right against his chest like an oversized dog and refused to move.
“Did she give you the list of businesses, too?” Danny asked, having to crane his neck to look over at Jake.
“Yeah, and I was able to cross off a few of them already,” Jake answered, swiping away at his phone again.
“Nice work,” Danny praised, his eyes darting back to his phone. He and Josh had taken on scrolling through Danny’s instagram mentions in order to try and find the famed Greta. And, Jesus, people really loved tagging him in shit. They had been at it for hours and were still only finding posts from about two weeks ago.
“Is this her?” Josh hoisted his phone up into Danny’s field of view. Danny squinted as he analyzed the woman’s face.
“No,” he groaned, his frustration mounting as they had zero luck.
It wasn’t that he didn’t like Sam like this, it was just… It was too much. Yeah, maybe Danny had been dreaming about this exact scenario for years, but this wasn’t how he wanted to get it. He’d felt guilt slam into him with every touch Sam bestowed upon him as he remembered that Sam wasn’t in control of his actions. It was that stupid fucking potion that was making Sam all cuddly and cute; the normal Sam would never do that. The normal Sam wouldn’t repeatedly confess his love for Danny in a myriad of ways, or kiss his neck and cheeks, or cling to him every second of the day. No matter how badly Danny wanted it to be true, Sam just wasn’t in love with Danny like the drummer was in love with the bassist.
And that was the time that Sam decided to stir just enough to burrow deeper into his embrace with Daniel, grumbling something under his breath that was reminiscent of a cat purring. And just like it never happened, Sam fell back asleep again. Danny watched for a bit too long as Sam’s chest rose and fell with each even breath he took, his face held in a content smile as he dreamed away.
“Man, I haven’t seen him curled up with someone like that since we were kids,” Josh commented, taking a break from his endless scrolling to crack his neck and stretch. He had watched the whole thing, Sam’s stirring and Daniel’s flush creeping onto his face as he gazed down at the cozy bass player.
“What do you mean?” Danny had moved his own phone out of the way to properly look at Josh. The man had taken to sitting on the floor with his back against the couch that Sam and Danny were laying on.
“The last time he looked that content while sleeping was probably when he was about eight-ish; that was when he stopped taking naps with mom,” the singer explained, his eyes cast upwards as if searching the farthest reaches of his mind.
“What, are you calling me his mother?” Daniel felt his face pinch into one of disgust as he remembered what Sam had sprung on him during the ride over.
“No, what he’s saying is Sam has always liked to cuddle, but only feels comfortable doing it with certain people,” Jake clarified, not even bothering to look up from his notepad.
“Yeah, he’s never done that with us. And, now that I think about it, he’s never done that with his girlfriends, either. At least, from what I’ve seen, anyway,” Josh added, rambling just a tad at the end. He even brought his hand up to his chin as he thought, his fingers stroking the hair on it absently.
Daniel had no idea what to do with that particular bit of information, so he elected to shove it into his mental box labeled “The Sam Incident” to be ignored until further notice. It was starting to become alarmingly full.
He went back to his scrolling, his eyes beginning to burn with how long he’d been staring at the screen. He wasn’t aware that he’d taken to running his fingers through Sam’s hair and absently playing with it as he focused on finding the proverbial needle in a haystack.
Right when he was about to take a break and grab something to eat, he spotted her.
“AHA!” he exclaimed, bolting upright and rudely jolting Sam out of his peaceful slumber. The bassist even grumbled, rubbing at his eyes and shooting a grumpy look at his personal pillow for the violent awakening. Danny felt the sympathy ache in his chest for Sam, rubbing a soothing and apologetic hand over Sam’s arm. Though, with how frizzy and staticky his hair looked, Daniel had to bite his lip to keep from laughing at Sam.
“You found her?” the twins asked simultaneously, Danny feeling briefly like he was in The Shining as they both gave him the same expression as he looked between them.
Daniel nodded his head, turning his phone around to show the others. Sam took the opportunity to sleepily and unceremoniously flop himself down against the drummer’s chest face first, wrapping his arms around his waist. Danny instinctively placed his hand onto his back to steady him, rubbing it as Sam mumbled something into his chest that Danny could not understand.
“Well, what are we waiting for?” Jake, ever the impatient one, urged Daniel. He pushed away from the table he was stationed at, making his way over to lean over the back of the couch to watch the drummer’s screen.
danielrwagner: Hey, so uhhh
danielrwagner: This is going to be a strange question but
danielrwagner: Are you the woman who gave me a vial at an art show a month or so back?
Daniel had set his phone down onto the couch, figuring he’d have to wait a while for a response - if he ever got one, that is. What he didn’t expect was for his phone to buzz almost immediately afterwards.
StarshineGreta: Hi Danny!
StarshineGreta: Yes, that was me
StarshineGreta: Why did someone drink it?
danielrwagner: Yeah
StarshineGreta: Who was it?
Daniel swallowed nervously, glancing down at Sammy who was still wedged into his chest and showing no signs that he was moving anytime soon.
danielrwagner: …Sam
Call from StarshineGreta
“Guys, what should I do?” Daniel panicked, his heart rate kicking up in speed inside his chest as his ringtone started to cheerfully chirp in his hand. He frantically looked back and forth between the twins, looking for their help.
“Answer it!” Josh screeched, his thunderous voice that Daniel normally heard echoing through stadium speakers just as loud and commanding in his living room.
With a nervous bite of his lip, Danny did as he was told.
“Hey, Greta. Just so you know, you're on speaker with… with the whole band,” Daniel greeted, making sure to give her the courtesy of knowing that everyone could hear her. But, it seemed that she didn’t even register what he had said. Instead, she launched right into it.
“Alright, how long ago did he drink it and what are his symptoms?” Her voice was nearly clinical if it weren’t for the clear enthusiasm dripping off her words.
“He drank it at about ten this morning-”
“And he’s acting like a lovesick puppy and won’t leave Daniel alone,” Josh interjected, leaning over so that he was closer to the phone to be heard. Though that wasn’t really necessary since the man had shouted, anyway.
“Yeah, Sam won’t stop touching and cuddling him and if he tells him to quit it he gets all mopey and sad,” Jake added, flashing Danny a grin that Daniel merely glared at. She really didn’t need to know all that.
The beat of silence that followed made Danny’s nerves spike into the stratosphere. What he didn’t know was that Greta had merely muted her own mic so that she could laugh as boisterously as she wanted to without being heard.
“Interesting. And how much did he drink?”
“Pretty much the whole thing. There’s about an eighth or so left in the bottle, I’d guess,” Daniel informed, feeling as if the vial in his pocket got heavier as he thought about it.
“Wow. Ok, wow. No wonder he’s so clingy,” Greta replied, her surprise seeping into her tone.
“I wouldn’t call him that-”
“Dan. Try standing up.”
Giving Jake a disgruntled look, Daniel tried exactly as suggested. As he did, Sam’s arms tightened around Sam and pulled him back down towards him. “Nooooooooo,” he had whined out in protest, his brow knitting together in a grumpy frown once more as he looked up at Danny through his lashes.
“No,” he said again, this time more firm and accented by Sam’s grip readjusting around Danny’s ribs to pull himself even tighter against Danny’s chest.
When Daniel looked over at the younger twin, he was met with a small yet smug smile of victory.
“Shut up,” he lamely shot back, wanting to cross his arms over his chest but being prevented by a certain bass player. Instead, he just settled his free arm back onto Sam’s back right below where his hair stopped in the middle of his spine.
“Is it a problem that he drank so much?” Josh asked, completely ignoring the exchange that happened between Jake and Daniel.
“Not really, no. The effects will just be stronger than if he had just drank the recommended amount,” Greta explained.
“Will it last longer?” Daniel quickly interjected, the horrifying thought of having to deal with Sam acting like this for a month causing panic to lance through his heart.
“I don’t think so. Maybe a few extra hours, but it should be worn off by tomorrow evening.”
“And how come your potion actually works? Like, why isn’t yours bullshit like the other ‘love potions’ out there?” Jake so delicately questioned.
“Normally, most of mine are but… well…” Daniel did not like how her tone shifted from confident to apprehensive, “I won’t sugar coat it. The potions I make are meant to amplify what emotions are already inside someone. They can’t manufacture love or hate or happiness if they don’t already exist in the person who drank it.”
After she finished her explanation, the room went silent. Daniel felt as if his mind was beginning to overheat inside his skull as he tried to process the information she had just dropped onto them.
“I don’t get it,” Daniel croaked out, feeling as if his mind was halting all function as he stared blankly down at his phone.
“Do you have that potion on you?” Greta’s voice wasn’t scheming, per say, but it was clear she had a plan.
Daniel dug into his front pocket, fishing out the aforementioned vial. He held it up into the air, looking at it and wondering how something so unassuming could flip his world on its axis.
Before the drummer could even respond to Greta, Jake had swiped it out of his hand so quickly Danny could only blink dumbly at the man.
“Josh!” he called before tossing it towards the man.
“Wait-” was all Daniel could get out before the singer had uncapped the vial and tossed it back like it was a shot.
“Ooh, bubblegum flavored,” Josh cooed after he swallowed, flipping the vial in his hand after he replaced the cap.
Daniel just sat frozen in place. Great, now he was going to have to deal with two Kiszkas attached to his hip at all times and he wasn’t going to be able to do anything-
“How ya feeling, Josh?” Jake had asked in a voice reminiscent of a gameshow host from the 70s.
“Honestly, Jake, I feel no different. Daniel, I love you, man, but not like that,” Josh answered, pointing at his little brother curled up into Danny’s chest like an overgrown cat to prove his point.
“So, that means…” Jake prompted, holding out his hand as if to cue Daniel to understand. It didn’t work.
“I still don’t get it. And now I’ll have two of you on top of me-”
“Oh my god,” Josh impatiently groaned, tossing his head back in frustration as he scrubbed a hand down his face.
“Jesus, you’re dumb, Dan,” Jake added, exasperation of his own causing him to pinch the bridge of his nose as he shook his head.
“I’m sure he’ll figure it out eventually,” Greta optimistically offered, her voice cutting through the groaning from the twins.
“But, wait, what should I do? Is there anything I can do to help Sam? Or, like, cure him?” Danny inquired, electing to ignore the twins and their antics.
“You’re just going to have to wait it out,” Greta answered, her voice not even remotely sympathetic to Danny’s plight.
“Thanks for the insight, Greta.” Jake leaned in towards the phone again, giving it a two fingered salute.
“Yeah, and thank you for the free blackmail!” Josh was smiling as he waved at the phone, his tone chipper and not at all matching the devious words he spoke.
“Any time, boys!”
And with that, the call had ended.
“Well, we best get going,” Josh sighed as he got to his feet, stretching his arms over his head.
“Yep. Seems like you and Sam need some time to yourselves.” Jake had playfully nudged his baby brother on the shoulder with his hand, Sam only responding with a half-hearted grunt of annoyance at being jostled.
“Wait, hold on-”
“Goodbye, lovebirds!”
With a slam of the door that carried with it a sense of finality, Daniel was left alone with a love-drugged Sam. In his house. Alone.
“I thought they’d never leave,” Sam yawned, mimicking his older brother from earlier as he stretched his arms above his head, his face pinching together as he did so. Daniel pointedly did not look at the sliver of tan skin the bassist exposed above his waistband as he stretched, a playful teasing of his happy trail poking out briefly.
“Uh, what?”
“The twins! I thought they wouldn’t take the hint,” Sam playfully implied, his hands tracing up from their perch on Daniel’s stomach to his pecs. And that was when he realized that Sammy was straddling his hips and looming above him with a look in his eye and a smirk on his lips that was anything but innocent.
Danny was stuck in his position on the couch, feeling like those butterflies they displayed in glass with those pins that pierced through their wings stabbing through his own limbs. He felt frozen, caught between his own animalistic desire and his morality; the angel and devil on his shoulders waging a war.
“Are you hungry?” Daniel squeaked out, his voice breaking as he shoved Sam off of him and bolted off the couch. He felt like his face was on fire as the rest of his skin prickled with its own heat. He stood himself on the opposite side of the room, all but pressing his back to the wall. He didn’t care what that witch or the twins said; Sammy would never do that.
He’s not himself.
Once Sam recovered from Danny tossing him into the couch, Sam turned those sultry eyes back onto the drummer. “Yeah. For you.”
Daniel gulped. Sam’s voice had purred out of his lips, matching the very clear bedroom eyes he was shooting Daniel. And Danny was not liking how his body was reacting to that.
“I’ll order sushi,” Daniel quickly stated before bolting out of the room and away from Sam as fast as he could.
+++
Dinner was an ordeal. Daniel had to essentially manipulate Sammy into eating, which made him feel like garbage. But, he tried to reassure himself by saying it was for Sam’s own good. And if Danny had to use his powers of suggestion over Sam to do it, then it was just a means to an end. To be fair, it wasn’t like he was forcing Sam to do something like make out with Danny or anything like that. It was just getting him to eat his goddamn sushi.
It also didn’t help that Sam had scooched his chair right up beside Danny’s and would move closer to him each time Danny had tried to move away. And then Sam had tried to feed Danny his food. Which was… an experience.
“C’moooooooooon Danny! It’ll be cute like Lady and the Tramp!” Sam whined, waving his chopsticks in the air.
Daniel, knowing his willpower against Sam was weakening, relented. He huffed out a “fine” and half-heartedly opened his mouth. Sam squealed excitedly before gently picking up a roll with his chopsticks and placing it between Danny’s lips. Daniel figured the pain of Sam’s nagging was worth the pleasure of seeing his brilliantly excited smile as Daniel chewed his sushi.
“Ok, ok, now me!” Sam exclaimed, setting down his chopsticks before opening his mouth wide and sticking out his tongue like he was about to get his tonsils checked.
With an exasperated yet fond sigh, Daniel selected a sushi roll and brought it up to Sam, cupping a hand underneath it to catch it if it fell. As he placed the sushi on Sam’s tongue, Daniel made the mistake of looking his friend in the eyes. When he did, his breath hitched inside his throat. Daniel could feel as the air around them crackled with a charged energy that sparked to life as their gazes met. And Daniel felt himself unable to tear his eyes away from Sam as he slowly pulled his chopsticks away.
When Sam slipped the food into his mouth and began to chew, that was when Daniel was able to look away.
That was a few hours ago. The two of them were once again cuddled up on Danny’s couch, Sam trying his absolute best to get every part of his body touching every part of Daniel’s. They had thrown on a crime procedural show; Bones or Law & Order, Daniel didn’t know. He was far too distracted by how Sam kept attempting to get Danny to kiss him or let him blow him or an assortment of other things that made his face glow bright red.
He’s not in his right mind, Daniel had to keep reminding himself. And he would not break to love-drugged Sam no matter how many times he would flash Danny those puppy eyes that would normally make him fold like a house of cards under a slight breeze.
“Daaaaaaaanyyyyyyyyyy,” Sam sang, wiggling himself onto Danny’s lap in order to plant himself right in front of Daniel’s field of view. He would no longer be ignored, despite the fact that Sam had always had Danny’s full attention; he just was acting as though he hadn’t.
“Sam, I’m trying to watch this,” Daniel weakly protested. He had no idea what the plot of the episode was, much less the actual name of the show.
“Watch me instead,” Sam whined, his shoulders slouching as he theatrically threw his head back in frustration, “you’ve been ignoring me all day.”
“That’s not true-”
“It’s like you don’t love me.” And that was what finally caused Daniel to break his facade. He looked Sam right in the eyes, taking in the pout of his lips and the dejected nature of his eyes. Daniel isn’t ashamed to admit that he felt his chest ache at the sight. There was genuine heartbreak in Sammy’s eyes that did nothing to quell the guilt that had been thrumming through Daniel’s veins all day.
Sam could not have been further from the truth, really. Daniel did love Sam. Like, embarrassingly so. He felt it swelling in his chest every second that he spent with Sam, even when he wasn’t with him. Actually, that was when he felt it the most, when Sam wasn’t with him. Those were the moments when he found himself wishing for the man to be near, feeling his heart long for his calming and wonderful presence.
But, he knew Sam didn’t feel that way about Daniel. Danny knew Sam the best out of everyone on earth; he’d be able to tell who Sam was in love with. It wasn’t Daniel.
“That-That’s not…” Danny didn’t know how to answer that. He really didn’t. He had no idea if Sam would remember anything from this after the potion wore off. He really did not want to risk the most precious thing in his life.
Instead, Daniel just gently lowered Sam’s head down into the crook of his neck, wrapping his arms around Sam in order to pull him as tightly against his chest as he could. If he couldn’t say it, he’d show it.
Sam calmed down after that, apparently perfectly content to just exist inside of Danny’s personal space. It wasn’t long after that Daniel felt drowsiness creep up on him. Despite not doing much moving around considering the human ball and chain known as Samuel Kiszka was attached to him all day prevented that, he was still exhausted. Emotionally, that is. Who knew having the love of your life falsely confessing his love for you would be so draining? Danny sure didn’t.
“Alright,” Danny yawned, reaching for the remote to turn off the tv, “time for bed.”
“Carry me,” Sam murmured, already half asleep against Danny.
“Sam…” Daniel protested with a sigh, knowing that he was going to anyway but hoping Sam would change his mind.
“Please, baby,” the bassist whined, moving his head so that one eye poked out from his curtain of hair to give Danny that wretched Puppy Look.
Like the whipped man that he was, Danny just sighed as his shoulders sagged in defeat. After shuffling around Sam’s limbs to better fit around Danny as he stood, Daniel walked the two of them up to his bedroom. Danny decidedly did not think about what this would look like to an outsider.
“When did you get so heavy,” Danny grunted halfway up the stairs.
“It’s not nice to comment on a lady’s weight,” Sam shot back, his face still completely nuzzled into Danny’s neck. The breath of his words made Daniel have to suppress a shiver.
“Oh, I didn’t know I was talking to a lady.”
Sam giggled, the vibrant and gorgeous sound making Danny’s heart soar.
Jesus, he was so doomed.
+++
It had taken some master level bargaining on Daniel’s part, but he was able to convince Sam to leave him alone long enough so that they could each finish their nighttime routines. Daniel had just loaned Sam a pair of his sleep shorts and a shirt to use as pajamas; the shorts were just a bit too big on Sam and caused the waistband to sit dangerously low on his hips. Daniel found himself having to force his eyes to focus on anything other than that sliver of skin on Sam’s abdomen, which was an incredibly hard task.
Daniel was far from surprised when Sam had climbed into the bed next to him and proceeded to wrap all of his limbs around Danny. It was like the man had managed to find the exact places where he would fit perfectly against Danny like he was meant to be there. Frankly, it was driving Daniel mad.
“Don’t I get a kiss goodnight?” Sam hummed directly into the drummer’s ear, able to feel the vibrations in his best friend’s chest that was pressed into his side.
The question made Danny sigh. He knew what would happen if he said no.
“You’re going to keep going until I snap or give in, won’t you?” Daniel addressed the ceiling, unsure if he was speaking to Sam or god at this point.
“Yep,” Sam replied, popping the P in the word. Daniel could hear the mischievous smile in his words.
Now, it was just a matter of weighing Daniel’s conscience against his desire to get some goddamn rest. And, well, he’d be lying if he said he didn’t want to kiss Sam. But, once again, not like this. But… well, it wasn’t like they hadn’t kissed before. It happened a few years ago when they were both drunk; the both of them had laughed it off afterwards, but neither of them spoke of it again. Danny was sure that if he had explained to Sam that he was only doing it to get him to relent so that he could sleep, Sam would understand. Hell, this would be far from the first time Danny had done something Sam had asked of him to get him to shut up so he could sleep.
“Fine,” Daniel had begrudgingly agreed, the word sighed out. But, before he could tell Sam that he was only going to get a quick peck and nothing else, Sam had pounced.
Danny’s cries of protest had been drowned out by the press of Sam’s unfairly soft lips, his facial hair not an unpleasant bristle against his skin. But, no matter how good it felt, Danny couldn’t allow this to continue. There was just one small problem: Sam had managed to snake his hands from where they had wrapped around Danny’s torso to his head. He felt those lithe fingers weave their way into his curls, locking him in place like a boa constrictor did with their prey. No matter how… how hot that was, Daniel was the one in his right mind. He was the one responsible for his own action, so that meant he had to… to… oh, dear lord, Sam’s tongue was soft; feeling like the finest velvet money could buy. It beckoned Daniel’s own tongue, gently pleading with it to slip inside Sam’s mouth. And, truly, who was Danny to argue? And, god forgive him, Sam’s mouth was so warm and inviting, it should be a sin.
Daniel blames his fixation on Sam’s mouth for the reason he failed to notice just how long their kiss had lasted. What finally broke him out of his trance was when Sam’s thigh slipped its way between Daniel’s own, brushing against his interested dick and pulling a surprised yelp from his lips.
Fighting against Sam’s, admittedly strong, grip on his hair, Daniel pulled away from Sam. He made sure to physically push away Sam’s thigh from its spot between Danny’s legs, knowing that should have been his first act. He was out of breath; another indicator for just how he had failed to be responsible. And looking into Sam’s confused and hurt eyes did nothing to help the guilt mushrooming within his chest.
“You’ll thank me later,” Daniel explained, even sounding out of breath as he tried to put as much distance between himself and Sam as the love-drugged man would allow. Or you’ll hate me later.
“But what about here and now?” Sam whined, closing the precious distance Danny had built up.
“You got what you wanted-” and fucking then some, “-just go to sleep.”
“Daaaaaaaan-”
“Go to sleep, Sam.” Daniel snapped, immediately regretting his tone as soon as he saw the genuine hurt in those amber eyes.
With a scowl, Sam settled down into the sheets. What hurt the most, though, was when Sam had retracted all of his limbs from where they intertwined with Daniel’s, flipping on his side to face away from his best friend. Despite having wished for it all day, Danny had no idea it would hurt so fucking much.
Even though he wanted to so fucking badly, Daniel did not reconcile the situation. It was for the best, he had to tell himself. This way, Daniel would be able to actually sleep and Sam wouldn’t be as weirded out towards Danny when he inevitably snapped out of this spell.
It was for the best.
Then why does it feel so wrong?
+++
Daniel had gotten no sleep.
Despite how much he tried, it seemed that every time he closed his eyes he was met by the image of Sammy’s disappointed face. He knew, deep down, that it was the right thing for him to do, to push Sam away like that. But that really was a thin comfort when the hurt in Sam’s eyes before he disentangled himself from Danny was still playing on loop in his head. Isn’t that what he had been trying to avoid this whole time? Hurting Sam? And, somehow, he had managed to do just that. It was frustrating and exhausting and Danny just wanted to get some fucking sleep.
Through the night, however, Sam had managed to intertwine himself once more with Danny. It felt like a hollow victory. And when he eventually, slowly, woke up, Sam had seemed to be completely over their spat from the night prior.
He had simply stretched his arms over his head, his hair a mess of tangles and static, and asked Daniel about breakfast. How Danny had wished that he could just brush off what happened the night prior.
The rest of the day had happened much like the day before; Sam refusing to let Danny stray too far from his touch. It had been inconvenient as Danny tried to go about his day with another person attached to him at the hip. However, he was able to adapt by lunch time. Sammy was still whispering things in his ear that made his blood simmer in his veins and did nothing to suppress his guilt at what images and scenarios his brain supplied him with.
Daniel had resigned himself to the fact that his day now would revolve around Sam entirely. He had wanted to go to the grocery store to restock his fridge that was becoming barren, but he knew there was the possibility that someone would recognize the two of them and their… compromising position.
So, instead of going out and being productive like he had wanted to, he sequestered the two of them to his house. They settled on a Harry Potter marathon, Daniel once again unable to focus on the screen whatsoever with Sam pawing at him continuously. Daniel had ordered food and plopped the two of them on the couch.
By the fourth movie, Sam had fallen asleep in Danny’s lap. Daniel, now with those doe eyes off of him, felt that he was finally able to end his guise of watching the screen. It had reached the late afternoon, that golden light sun streaming in through the windows of his living room and highlighting the lazy dust mites floating in the air. Most devastatingly, however, was how that sun had focused on Sammy’s profile. The man looked angelic, ethereal in a way that should not be feasible for a mortal. His hair glowed a golden hue, making it look like a halo was crowned onto his head. It made Danny’s heart ache within his chest.
Daniel had been so distracted by how gorgeous his best friend looked that he failed to really notice that Sammy was beginning to wake up.
“Daniel?” Sam’s voice was gravelly again. Danny felt his eyes focus on Sam’s, snapping him back into his own mind.
“Sam?”
“Wh… What happened?” Sam had lifted himself off of Danny’s chest, sliding a hand from where it rested on the small of Danny’s back to grab at his head. He blinked rapidly, sweeping his eyes around the room as if it was foreign to him with a grimace on his face.
“How much do you remember?”
There was a pause before Sam responded, his eyes sliding their focus in on Danny’s. “Remember? Dan, I’m not missing any time.”
And if that didn’t make Daniel’s blood run cold.
“So… So…” Danny couldn’t spit it out. No matter how much he wanted to, he just couldn’t say that Sam knew everything. That would make it real.
“So… what happened?” Sam prompted again, seeming to be more lucid with each passing second.
Danny involuntarily gulped, feeling a cold sweat breaking out across his skin. Why was he so nervous? It wasn’t that hard to say what happened; he already told the twins. So why the hell was it so difficult to look Sam in the eye.
“You… You remember that vial from my jacket that you drank?”
“Mhm, tasted like bubblegum.”
“...Yeah. Well, that uhh…”
Oh, for fucks sake! Just say it!
“It was a love potion,” Daniel rushed out, the words all mushing together to sound like one long word.
Another beat of silence passed between the two, Sam staring down at Daniel from his perch in his lap and Daniel looking everywhere he could that wasn’t Sam’s eyes. He really wished Sam would move, it would at least help the raging blush on his cheeks. At least slightly.
“Oh, sick!!”
Finally, Daniel looked Sam in the eye. Of all the ways he had forecasted that Sam would react to that information, enthusiasm and whimsy was not even on the list. He had expected Sam to get awkward, to politely remove himself from Danny’s touch and make an exit as quickly as possible. He had far from expected Sam to link his hands behind Danny’s neck and eagerly inquire about the potion.
“Dude, that’s so cool! You know what this means, don’t you??”
“...No?”
“Magic is real! And we just proved it!!” Sam’s smile was huge, bright enough to outshine the sun.
“Sam-”
“So, like, how does it actually work? Like, I remember that conversation we had with the witch about it only affecting those who already are in love, or whatever, but did she say the actual mechanics of how it worked? Like, is there a special ingredient that it needs to work?” Sam reminded Danny of a puppy in that moment. His eyes were bright and full of enthusiasm, his entire body buzzing with an energy that made it impossible for him to sit still.
This time, it was Daniel who failed to give a timely response. His mind was too busy reeling over what Sam had glossed over during his rambling to properly process the man’s question. Realizing that the reason Sam was looking at him so expectantly was due to him waiting on the drummer, Danny shook his head to force it to work.
“H-Hold on,” he began, taking a hand that had rested on Sam’s waist and bringing it up to his forehead, “you… you remember that conversation?? You were asleep!!”
Danny hadn’t meant for his voice to come out like a screech, however he was just so damn confused that he really couldn’t focus the brain power on proper speech etiquette.
“What?” Now it was Sam’s turn to knit his brow in confusion. “Oh, yeah! No, I was just faking it. It’s an old trick I pull out sometimes to get out of work; I started doing it so that Jake, Josh, and Ronnie were stuck doing chores instead of me.”
Daniel felt like he was losing his mind. How was Sam so goddamn chipper about this??
“Ok. Ok. Oh my god.” Daniel forced himself to take a breath. It felt as if his entire world was crumbling beneath his feet and his brain was struggling to keep up with the rapidly shifting terrain.
“So, you remember that whole conversation.” It wasn’t a question, though Danny had intended it to be.
“Yep!” Danny felt a piece of his soul die at the chipper tone Sam used. He elected to ignore it.
“And… that means you understand how it actually works…”
“Apparently better than you did, Danny Boy,” Sam snarked, a playful grin that bordered on flirtatious spreading across his lips.
Danny could only stare incredulously at Sam.
“And you’re ok with it??”
“...Yeah,” Sam answered slowly, “I already knew I was in love with you.”
And that, right there, was how Daniel Wagner died. In retrospect, he had a good go of it. He was able to follow his dreams, be a rockstar. If he had to pick one, he’d say his one regret in life was ever befriending Samuel fucking Kiszka. It would have saved his life, after all.
“Danny?”
Sammy’s voice snapped him out of his cardiac arrest, pulling him back to the present.
“Y-You… You…” Once again, Daniel felt like his brain was melting out of his head and pouring out of his ears. This can’t be real. Like, it just can’t. “You already… me??”
“Yeah…” Sammy was looking at him strangely, as if Danny were the one acting weird.
“You realize what you just told me, right??”
“I don’t understand why you’re acting so surprised. You already knew this.”
Danny tried to follow Sam’s logic in his head, he really did. He was still under the spell. He had to be. It was the only way Sam’s behavior made any sense to him.
“Sam… you were drugged, ok? I don’t know exactly how, but those… your… actions were not your own,” Danny tried to explain, careful and gentle as possible.
Then, it was as if a lightbulb went off inside Sam’s head. Daniel felt relief hit him; finally Sam got it. They could move past this and save their friendship.
“Daniel, look at me,” Sammy slid his hands from behind Daniel’s neck to rest them on the sides of his face, positioning it so that Danny had to look at him, “I am not under any spell right now. I am in my sane mind, do you get me?”
Danny opened his mouth to speak, but Sam cut him off before he had the ability to protest.
“I am so fucking in love with you. Like, so fucking in love it’s probably illegal. And that was why the potion worked. Because I am in love with you. If I wasn’t, it wouldn’t have worked at all… do you understand what I am telling you in very clear, not-able-to-be-misinterpreted words?” Sam had said every sentence slowly and with a gravity to it that left no room for debate. They were spoken as fact; as law. Just how energy cannot be created nor destroyed, Sam Kiszka was in love with Daniel Wagner.
Yet Daniel still had a hard time grasping the concept.
“But… all that… that cuddling and-and kissing and all that… you’ve never acted that way before,” Daniel reasoned, believing this to be the work of the potion and hard evidence to support that belief.
Sam just laughed, the noise warming up the ice that had frozen in Danny’s veins.
“I always wanna kiss you, Daniel. The only reason I hadn’t yet was because I didn’t think you wanted me that way. And before you try and say it was the potion forcing me, it just never occurred to me to not act upon my feelings.”
Danny was still apprehensive, unable to fully grapple with the concept that Sam wanted to kiss him at all times. But, he was beginning to see what everyone had been telling him the past 24 hours.
“...Prove it.”
With nothing but a quick “ok” spoken under his breath, Sam wasted no time launching forward and locking his lips with Danny’s. His hands slid from Danny’s cheeks to the back of his head, manipulating it so that Sam could tip it back and deepen the kiss. Once again, Danny felt dizzy. But, unlike the other kiss the two of them shared last night, this one was quick and urgent. Sam had something to prove and he was not about to let Daniel walk away from this without getting his point through Danny’s thick skull.
It was Sam who eventually pulled away, having to gasp for air.
“Holy shit,” Danny panted, his head feeling woozy as he took in the sight of his best friend looking absolutely ruined, yet giddy just from his lips.
“Yeah,” Sam breathed in response, his smile turning dopey as he laughed.
“You… You love me…”
Danny watched in real time the excitement and shock that flooded Sam’s eyes.
“Oh, thank fucking god,” Sam quickly uttered, throwing his head back, “YOU FINALLY GET IT!” Sam had taken to shaking Danny by the shoulders.
“That’s actually great news because I’m also in love with you,” Daniel admitted, a giddiness of his own flooding his veins at finally being able to say those words out loud to Sam.
“I would fucking hope so, you dense idiot.” There was no malice in Sam’s words. Quite the opposite, really. He had leaned back down onto Danny’s chest, burying his face into Danny’s neck as they embraced.
“Wait… when did you-”
“Truthfully? When we graduated.”
Daniel started to process what that meant. Since we graduated…

sae can still remember the day he met you, it was like something out of one of those movies — a rainy day at a quaint little cafe, your stuck without a car or an umbrella trying to find a way home without getting drenched in the skies tears and luckily your gaze lands on sae, packing his things getting ready to exit. without a second thought you take the opportunity and approach him, asking if he could give you a lift home with the add on that you’d repay him in some manner and he agreed, successfully receiving your number in the process.
from then on you both begin meeting at the small cafe several times a month before deciding to start a relationship, and being the analytical man that he was sae made sure to know his girlfriend like the back of his own hand — likes and dislikes, preferred foods, allergens, sense of fashion, favorite movies, the name of the perfume that you always bought, even small shifts in your energy and mood.
so when he sensed the odd aura that lingered around you and his younger brother he was suspicious; rin’s eyes lingering in your frame for longer than they should have, the much too personal touches, hell the tired yet lustful look you’d slide rin’s way from across the table but sae swept it under the rug, playing it off as his overworked mind playing tricks on him.
besides- he trusts you, why would you betray that trust with his younger brother or anyone for that matter? it’s the fact that he trusts you that allows him to leave to you with no one but and his brother in the home while he goes out to handle some business.
oh, if only he knew the way that rin wasted no time moving from his across the room to where you stood by the door, gently closing it with your foot as he pressed a hungry kiss to your lips, greedy hands roaming to feel every inch of exposed skin that you had to offer while you all too casually pull at the hairs on the nape of his neck.
it was borderline horrible the way that you both grasped at each other the second sae stepped out the door, excited giggles leaving your mouth at the pure rush you got from the situation at hand. “god, i’ve missed this— missed you,” he mutters against your lips, pick you up with ease as he carries you back to your bed — the one that you share with his brother —, “bet you have, ‘ts been over a week,” you happily sigh, pulling his black turtleneck over his head and onto the floor as your hands trace over his toned abs.
his breath hitches as he places you down on the fluffy mattress, his eyes roaming over your unexposed figure, mind racing at the thought of your naked body. “‘ts no fair, pretty, he gets to have you every day of the week in his bed, in his arms,” he starts, voice barely above a whisper as his hands push up your shirt and anything underneath, fingers brush against your hardened nipples, pinching them as you whine. “while you keep me waiting for you like a mutt in the rain.”
“mh, ‘m sorry rinnie,” mutter, thighs pressing together, craving a friction that you weren’t receiving.”y’know i love you, y’know i’m yours..” your words mean nothing, you know — think or at least hope — they mean nothing as you squirm under his touch, you don’t actually have feelings for the young man as you lay beneath him, whining about your love for him as he takes a nipple into his mouth, his tongue swirling around the bud as rubs a finger against your clothed pussy, at least you hope you don’t have feelings.
“rin—“ you choke on your own moan as he toys with your clit through the thin, soaked fabric of your panties. “ please give me something, anything,” he chuckles at your need, releasing your chest with a small ‘pop’, pulling your panties to the side and running a finger a finger along your glistening folds.
“look at you, doll, all wet and ready for me for me to take you,” he groans, digits slipping into your heat with ease, making you mewl. you rut yourself hips forward craving friction as you grip lightly at the sheets. “and still so needy at that.. he doesn’t make you feel this way, does he? he doesn’t know how to satisfy my baby does he?” he coos, fingers pumping in and out of your gummy walls so effortlessly.
“no, course not— ‘ts only you how can make me feel like this,” you gasp, thighs squeezing around his hand as he curls his fingers in a way that press against that special spot inside you that makes you quiver. it’s all wrong, so so wrong — the way that rin makes you feel in that moment, the thoughts of your poor, clueless fiancé washing away as your walls flutter around him.
“yeah? y’gonna look so pretty when you cum around my cock, doll,” he grunts, thumb pressing against your clit, rubbing small circles and giving you an extra push of pleasure but it is so quickly stripped from you when your body shows signs of growing close to your much desired relief.
you whimper at the lost of contact giving him a pleading look. “rin,” you frown, hands pawing at his chest as he peers down at you ridding himself of his shorts and boxers, teasingly pressing his tip against your greedy hole that tries to suck him in at the first contact but rin happily obliged to the needy tug, the tip of his flushed cock pushing into you and making your eyes push back.
your mind almost goes blank at the stretch that he gives you struggling to fathom at sentence at the pure feeling. an airy laughs escapes his lips as he presses chaste kisses to your chest, as he slowly slides in inch by inch as your eyes grow starry. “you like that, princess? like the way my cock fills you up like that?”
your moans and eager nod tell rin all he needs to know as he thrusts his hips into yours, the lewd squelch of your cunt and sound of skin slapping filling the room. it should be embarrassing to enjoy your soon-to-be brother in laws cock this must but pleasure will always overrule any form of shame you have built in your system.
“ah—! ‘ts good, so good!” you squeal, a dopey smile plastered on your face the entire time as you giggle under his touch. “yeah, doll? is it better than sae, hmm? make you feel so much better than him, yeah?” rin is reaching for your approval, to hear the words slip from your lips that he was above his brother in some manner and you nod, cunt sucking him in as you give him what he desires.
“y’re better, sso much better, can’t cum if it’s not you making me,” you babble, the feel of his cock throbbing and pressing spots inside you not even sae could reach making you mewl. “yeah? wanna cum on my cock, lovely? go ahead, lemme see you make a mess of yourself.”
you whimper as his thumb makes it way back to your sensitive bundle of nerves, rubbing the bud in quick motions. “mm, close— ‘m close,” you cry, back arching off the mattress as your hips jerk forward. it only takes one more hard thrust before your coming undone around him, a creamy white ring forming around his cock as he continues, thrusts growing sloppy as he chases his own high, small grunts bubbling from his chest before he cums not long after you, a desperate whine falling from his lips.
“augh, fuck, y’so good..” he sighs laying atop of you, not bothering to pull himself out. of your freshly used cunt. “mph— rin, gotta clean up,” you mutter, resting your eyes as you try and steady your breathing. “mh, we’ve got time to rest first, don’t worry doll,” and he was right.
by the time sae has gotten home the two of you had been cleaned up and handled the mess you made, and back to your spots in the living room casually talking while the tv played. sae pressed a sweet kiss to your head before taking his seat beside you, arm pulling you close as you happily leaned into him.
i’m your eyes he’s none the wiser but sae still has that knowing feeling in his stomach and it’s confirmed when his gaze meets rins — giving sae a sly, winning grin before his eyes return to the tv.
sae knows you’ve been creeping around with his brother behind closed doors but he’s much rather keep his eyes closed and live in the dream that your his and his alone than face the reality of the situation.

pairing: [best friend’s brother] lee minho x college!reader ft. han jisung
summary: you didn’t expect to spend your summer pretending to be your best friend’s girlfriend- then again, you didn’t expect to fall for your best friend’s brother, either.
warnings: swearing, mentions of sex (18+ mdni)
word count: 3.4k
a/n: revamped my tom holland series from my main blog ( @wazzupmrstark ) to try and motivate myself to finish it!!
series masterlist | early access to the next chapter on ko-fi
Minho and Felix were holding a spot in line for the four of you already when you arrived at the gate with Jisung. You mumbled a handful of sorries and excuse me’s as you shuffled past other guests in the queue. You hated being that person to cut in front of others, but you weren’t left with much choice since Jisung’s brothers had gone ahead without you.
To be fair, you had shown up later than you’d agreed upon. Patience didn’t really run in the Han family. Jisung was probably the most mild-mannered of the bunch.
You weren’t even sure that the people you were squeezing past understood you as you whispered half-assed apologies to them. You just hoped they were able to read your pitiful expression and took it as remorse.
Jisung held your hand as he dragged you through the line to get to his brothers. You ran your thumb over the little scar on his knuckle repeatedly to comfort yourself. His hand was nowhere near as sweaty as Minho’s, or maybe yours had just dried by now, but accepted the familiarity of the motion, letting him lead you to the front.
Minho perked up when he saw you and Jisung finally break through the crowd. He waved you down and stepped aside to give you both some space.
“You okay?” Felix asked, putting his phone in his back pocket to give you his full attention.
You nodded, smiling sheepishly. “Yeah, I’m alright.”
“Did you get sick?” Minho pressed, thinly veiled concern evident in his voice.
“No, I was fine. Jisung bought me some popcorn so I’d have something on my stomach just in case. Now I’m just… embarrassed.”
“Don’t be,” Felix insisted, “everyone’s afraid of something.”
“But not everyone’s a pussy about it,” you sighed.
“You’re just unique like that,” Jisung teased, earning an elbow in the ribs from you.
You glared at him and then turned to the other two boys. “Anyone need a ride partner? Mine is available for trading.”
Jisung pretended to pout. “Aw, babe, don’t be like that.”
You ignored him. “Anyone? Going once…”
“I’ll take him off your hands,” Felix offered with a smug grin.
You traded spots with Felix so that you were standing next to Minho. You’d wanted Jisung to be able to ride with Felix anyway. You felt guilty that he’d be stuck with you when it was tradition for him to sit with his twin brother. You also felt a little guilty that Minho would be stuck with you as a result, but less so. You figured it was only fair given what had gone down in Rome.
“Are you sure you’ll be okay without him?” Minho asked, low enough for only you to hear.
“I’m sure. This is just like a bike ride, right?”
“Yes, but elevated.” A lump formed in your throat. “Did you not see the track outside?”
“It’s not as high as the other rides,” you said, mostly to yourself. You narrowed your eyes at him. “Are you just trying to get rid of me? Do you not want to ride with me after what happened last time?”
Minho’s eyes widened in surprise at your accusation. “No! That’s not-”
“Because that’s sure what it sounds like.”
“I swear, I wasn’t trying to discourage you from riding the bike thing, I just didn’t want you to feel forced to or regret getting on it or anything.”
“I’m just giving you a hard time,” you confessed.
He visibly relaxed. “Jesus, don’t do that.”
“Sorry.”
“I don’t think you mean that.”
You shrugged, a hint of a smile playing at your lips. “Can neither confirm nor deny.”
“That’s what I thought.”
The queue for the Ptera Cycle moved slower than the one for the coaster had. It made sense, seeing as it drew in a greater variety of riders. There were a lot of families with their small children in line, many of them wearing backpacks or harnesses attached to a tether held by one of the adults or older siblings.
“I used to be a leash kid,” Minho said, following your gaze to a toddler trying to unbuckle the straps of their backpack.
“You’re fucking kidding.”
He shook his head. “I wish I was. To be fair, I was a runner, so my parents didn’t have much of a choice unless they wanted to lose me.”
“I’m surprised they never ‘accidentally’ forgot to secure it. I know I would have.”
Minho put a hand over his chest in mock offense. “You’re mean. I can see why Jisung likes you.”
“Thank you.”
“That wasn’t necessarily a compliment. To you or Jisung.”
“I know. But I took it as one.”
Minho mumbled something under his breath that you didn’t catch before continuing the recollection of his childhood. “All three of us were leash kids, actually.”
“That makes sense. You guys look like leash kids.” He didn’t acknowledge your comment aside from scoffing. “I don’t blame your mom, either. Twin boys plus you would be hell.”
“Jesus, brutal.”
You grinned wickedly. “I can’t wait to hold this over Jisung’s head.”
“Hold what over my head?” Jisung turned to look back at you suspiciously.
You wrapped your arms around his waist from behind, holding him close.
“Nothing.”
“I don’t believe that for a second.”
“Don’t worry about it,” you chided.
“Too late, I am worried about it.”
“Your big brother just told me some very interesting information about you.”
“Minho, I will strangle you,” Jisung muttered through gritted teeth.
“I’d like to see you try,” Minho challenged.
“Guys, we’re next,” Felix said tiredly, yanking his twin brother forward by the collar of his shirt.
You waited silently until you were paired off with Minho by one of the ride operators. He took the bike closest to the outside edge and you climbed onto the one next to his. The bikes were situated in a little cart together, with the handlebars extending over the edge. The cart was topless and open on both sides so that the riders could feel like they were suspended above the park- something that you preferred not to experience.
Minho gave you a sideways look once you were strapped in, once again looking worried. You mouthed I’m fine to him, but you weren’t sure that he bought it.
“We can go slow,” he said.
“I don’t want to hold up the people behind us, though.”
“Fuck them. We can go as slow as you need to.”
You rolled your eyes, but secretly appreciated the sentiment. Although, you’d try to pick up the pace so as not to ruin the ride for the others. You tried to pedal in tandem with Minho at first, but that proved to be too difficult. Every time you would stop to try and match his rhythm he’d also stop, and your car would get stuck in the middle of the track. It made you both laugh every time, but you weren’t so sure that it was as funny to the couple behind you.
Finally, you decided to just focus on your own pedaling which ended up working a lot better than the previous attempts.
Minho talked to fill the silence. You suspected it was to distract you from the height, but you liked listening to him anyway. He had a nice voice. And it was endearing, watching him come up with new topics so that you’d never have the chance to be consumed by your own thoughts. It reminded you of Jisung’s stories.
“Where’d Jisung and Felix go?” you asked, suddenly remembering there were two other people in your party.
You squinted, trying to see ahead through the darkness. You were unable to make anything out, even with all of the Christmas lights twinkling around you.
“They’re probably trying to see how fast they can make these things go,” Minho said dismissively.
“You’re right. I’m sure they’re already waiting for us at the photo checkpoint.”
“They turn everything into a competition.”
“Uh huh, they do. And I’m sure you have no idea where they got their competitive nature from…”
“None at all.” He grinned, but you frowned in realization.
“I’m sorry I’m depriving you of that. I’m sure you would’ve wanted to race them, or beat their time or something if you weren’t stuck with me.”
“Stop that,” he said softly.
“I’m serious though, Minho. You guys can leave me in Child Swap for the next ride and I’ll wait for you.”
“Don’t be ridiculous, we’re not leaving you in Child Swap. Stop acting like you’re a burden, because you’re not. I’m perfectly happy taking our time, admiring the view. I mean, how often are we going to be able to see this?”
You paused for a moment to take in the surroundings he was referring to, slowing your pedaling so that you were almost stopped.
There were strings upon strings of lights as far as the eye could see. In the distance, the colors of the lights bled together so that they were indiscernible from each other, creating an ever changing rainbow effect.
“The lights are beautiful,” you whispered.
Minho hummed in agreement, but he wasn’t looking at the lights.
When you turned back to look at him you locked eyes automatically. The nearby light display was illuminating his face in the most captivating way. It was like looking at an intricate mosaic, or a stained glass window. Gentle hues of blue, pink, green, and purple washed over his features, reflected even brighter in his eyes.
You looked away and pushed forward on the pedals, making the bikes lurch back into motion.
“They, um, remind me of Disney World’s old holiday lights. It used to be the biggest light display in the world. I would go every year with my family, but they got rid of them.”
“Oh, at Hollywood Studios, right? I always wanted to go to that, but they axed it before I got the chance.”
“Have you ever been to Disney World?”
“Yeah, when I was on tour we’d go on our days off. DisneyLand too. ”
“Right, I forgot who I was talking to.”
Felix and Jisung were, in fact, waiting for you at the photo checkpoint like you had predicted. They were both laser focused on the screens that were showing new pictures of riders, though you couldn’t say why. Neither of them noticed you and Minho approach them until they heard your voices.
“We thought you guys might have gotten stuck!” Jisung exclaimed teasingly, scooping you up in a hug.
“Nope, we’re just slow.”
“I’m slow,” you clarified.
“We took the scenic route,” Minho added.
“There’s only one route,” Felix pointed out.
“It’s an expression, dumbass. We went slow on purpose.”
“Because I’m a pussy, remember?” you mumbled, giving Jisung a pointed look.
He smirked and opened his mouth to respond, likely to turn the word pussy around on you in an even less family-friendly way, but thankfully Felix cut him off before he could.
“What’s next on the agenda? The park closes in like two hours.”
The boys squeezed as many attractions out of those two hours as they possibly could. Your social battery had died hours ago so you clung to Jisung the rest of the night, using him as a human shield so that you could avoid conversation.
Nikki and Dom had already left the park and taken a cab back to where you were staying. They had texted the group that you didn’t need to worry about them and that they’d see you in the morning.
The four of you piled into a taxi around one am. Everyone was sore and exhausted by then, and for once no one was in the mood to talk. Minho took one for the team and sat in the passenger seat even though he was just as tired as everyone else. It was odd to see him so quiet. He was usually so personable and talkative, but he only spoke when he needed to give the driver directions.
Jisung kept his hand on your thigh for the entire ride back, rubbing soothing circles with his thumb. You could tell he wanted you to rest, and you weren’t going to argue. You drifted off with your head on his shoulder, lulled to sleep by the quiet thrum of traffic.
-
Jisung gently shook you awake when the cab rolled up in front of your hotel. He helped you out of the car and more or less dragged you through the lobby and to the elevator.
“She’s gonna sleep like a baby,” Minho said. You could hear the smirk in his voice.
“I hope so,” Jisung sighed. “She’s barely slept since we got here.”
“Why do you think that is?”
“I don’t know, maybe because you two stress her out?”
“Us two?” Felix asked, joining in. “What could we possibly be doing to stress her out?”
“Being yourselves, for starters.”
The elevator dinged, signaling its arrival at your floor. You lifted your head from Jisung’s shoulder and stepped out into the hall with him right behind you. Minho fished the key out of his pocket and unlocked the door for the rest of you, holding it open so that everyone else could file in.
Jisung placed you on the bed and tried to get you to sit up. He brushed your hair out of your face before wrapping his arms around you and hoisting you upright.
“Baby,” he whispered, “do you want to take a shower before you go to bed?”
You nodded.
“Come on, let’s get you up.”
You had lost count of how many times Jisung had gotten you into the shower or the bath by now. Every time you got too drunk, too sleepy, or too depressed to take care of yourself he was always there, waiting to do it himself. It was like a tradeoff for all the times you’d edited his essays, all the times you’d played wingman for him at the karaoke club, all the times you’d stayed up until sunrise helping him perfect a recipe.
He helped you onto your feet and over to the bathroom, hanging the towel you had used the night before on the hook behind the door. He started the water for you and hung the showerhead over the side of the tub so that it could get warm.
“You gonna be okay?”
“Yeah, thanks.”
“Are you sure?”
You paused. “Can you stay?”
Jisung nodded, hesitant, but steady. “What do you need me to do?”
“I just want you to sit with me. Is that okay?”
“Yeah. Yeah, of course that’s okay.” He turned away and slowly crouched down until he was sitting on the floor with his back against the tub.
You took a deep breath and began to undress, trying not to think too much about the implications. You had seen each other naked plenty of times. On more than one occasion Jisung had been the one washing your hair while you sat in the bathtub after a night out. But that sort of vulnerability with your best friend felt different now. It had felt different since you landed in Seoul almost a month ago.
And maybe that’s why you had asked him to stay. You were grasping for any sort of normalcy that still remained between you, or you were trying to recover it.
You pulled your t-shirt over your head first, letting it fall to the floor. You then unclipped your bra, dropping it on top of your t-shirt. Jisung wasn’t even looking at you, but you still felt self-conscious as you shimmied out of your jeans and underwear.
You picked up the showerhead and stepped into the tub at the same time, accidentally spraying Jisung in the process.
“Hey!”
“Sorry!”
“Watch where you point that thing!”
“Watch where you point that thing,” you mocked. “That’s what she said.”
“I will get up and leave right now.”
“No, don’t!” you protested. “I’m sorry.”
Jisung acted like he was about to get up, but ended up just shifting his position against the tub. You laughed to yourself, bringing the showerhead up to your shoulders to rinse your body. You lathered yourself in the hotel’s body wash, listening to Jisung hum in the background.
“What are your brothers going to think?” you asked aloud. You realized they might question why you were both in the bathroom at the same time.
“I don’t know,” Jisung said with a shrug. “Why?”
“I don’t want them to think we’re fucking in here or something.”
“They don’t think that.”
“How do you know?”
“Because they know we’re loud when we do.”
“Oh yeah, that’s right. Go us.”
“I mean, you can start moaning or something if you want them to think that.”
“I literally just said I didn’t want them to think that.”
“Well, if you change your mind-”
“Do you want me to spray you again?”
Jisung flipped you off even though he couldn’t see you and you rolled your eyes at him behind his back. You washed off the soap and moved on to your face, using the same body wash to scrub your cheeks and forehead.
You knew every single one of your friends back home would cringe if they saw you washing your face with something other than face wash, but in your defense you didn’t really have a skincare routine anyway. One of them had forced you to buy face wash a moisturizer a while back, but you rarely remembered to use it. You didn’t think to get a travel container for them either, so you were left using whatever accommodations provided.
“Can you believe we’re in Japan?’ Jisung asked suddenly.
You looked down at the top of his head, wondering what had prompted the question.
“Not really,” you admitted.
“Me either.”
“We used to talk about traveling together,” you added thoughtfully.
“Yeah, and we kind of did! Remember, we took that road trip with my roommates a couple years ago to the west coast.”
“We tried to go to the west coast. Your Prius didn’t make it past Ohio.”
“It was actually the tires that didn’t make it past Ohio. My car was perfectly fine once we got them replaced. We only had to go back home because we spent all our motel money on the tow truck and the auto shop.”
“I don’t think engines are supposed to smoke, though.”
“Whatever. Can you hurry up, I still need to shower,” Jisung urged. “And so do my brothers.”
“I’m going, I’m going.”
You rinsed your face and turned off the water. Jisung stood and grabbed your towel for you, handing it to you with his back turned. You dried off and wrapped the towel around yourself like a dress.
In your half-awake state you hadn’t thought to grab your pajamas to change into before you got in the shower.
Jisung noticed your pause almost immediately.
“Did you want me to-”
“No, it’s okay I can grab them myself. We’ll probably get less questions that way.”
He gave you a look that said I don’t know about that, but let you go, following you into the room.
Minho and Felix were sitting at the table playing cards. They both looked up when they heard the door and then looked back down when they saw you in nothing but a towel. You wanted to laugh at their instinctive panic, but mostly you found it endearing.
You made your way past the boys to your suitcase where you began digging around for something to sleep in.
“You’re still dressed?” Felix asked, now turned in Jisung’s direction.
“I was just keeping her company, asshole.”
“Don’t give me that look! Just thought maybe you were saving water, is all.”
“Yeah, right.”
You brushed back past the three of them, locking yourself in the bathroom once more to get dressed. You hung your towel up since you didn’t need to dry your hair and then let yourself out back into the room, trading places with Jisung.
“I knew they’d still give us shit,” he whispered. “You should’ve let me get your clothes for you.”
“It’s not a big deal. And let’s be real, it’s only Felix who gives us shit.”
“Felix’s the only one who ever says anything because he has no filter, but Minho thinks that way too, trust me.”
You shook your head as you left, closing the door behind you. You caught Minho’s eye as soon as you stepped into the room.
“Hey, you can put all your laundry in the canvas bag by the door. It’s gonna get washed tomorrow morning.”
“Oh, okay, thanks.”
You shoved the clothes you’d just been wearing into the bag and then made your way over to your suitcase to collect the rest of your dirty laundry. You did the same with Jisung’s clothes, sorting through his suitcase to find all of the things he’d already worn.
“Wanna play?” Felix asked once you were done.
“Sure,” you said, sliding out a chair for yourself. “Deal me in.”
“We’re playing Go Fish,” Minho explained.
Felix gathered his and Minho’s stack of cards and re-shuffled them into the deck, dealing each of you new hands. You looked at your hand and grimaced. You only had one match, a pair of jacks, while the two boys both had two sets of pairs.
“Thanks a lot, Felix,” you grumbled.
“You shuffle next time, then,” he shot back.
“I will.”
“Minho, since you lost last round, you can go first.”
“We didn’t even finish the last round! There wasn’t a winner.”
“Well you were losing at the time, so it still counts.”
“I don’t think I was,” Minho argued. “I’m pretty sure you had more cards in your hand than I did.”
“Too bad we’ll never know,” Felix chirped. “Just take your goddamn turn.”
Minho sighed, rotating to face you. His annoyed expression was quickly replaced with a cocky one. He smirked at you, eyeing you over his hand of cards.
“Y/n, do you have any sixes?”
You glanced down at your cards in disbelief. “How’d you know? Did you look at my cards?”
“Just a lucky guess,” he replied and held out a hand expectantly. You reluctantly passed over your six of diamonds. “Thank you. Do you have any twos?”
“Oh my god, again? Why do you keep asking me?” you complained as you held your cards to your chest, jutting out your bottom lip in a pout.
“Being cute doesn’t exempt you from the rules,” Minho chided, beckoning with his fingers for you to give him the card.
A beat lapsed as the three of you processed the fact that Minho had just called you cute. You froze, unsure of what to do. He probably hadn’t meant it to come across like that, but it’s what it sure as hell sounded like. And no one at the table missed the connotation, including Minho whose ears were turning red.
“I mean,” he stuttered, “just give me the two.”
You held the card out for him to take without responding. He plucked the card from your grasp, careful not to brush his fingers against yours, and paired it with his two of hearts on the table in front of him. He turned to Felix. “Do you have any kings?”
Felix narrowed his eyes at his older brother. “No. Go fish.”
lmk what you think i always appreciate feedback!!

"Why is there money missing from my wallet?"
Tumblr media
You shuffled your feet awkwardly as Riddle checked the surrounding area and inside his wallet again for the missing money. He turned to you. "Y/N, I'm missing some Madol, do you have any idea where it could be?"
You braced for a scolding. "I... may have... taken some from your wallet and done a little shopping." You replied. Riddle immediately grew upset. "You didn't ask for permission to use my money. Did the thought not cross your mind?"
"Uh— well— it did, but I kinda..." You trailed off mumbling. Riddle's eyes narrowed as he became more cross. "What was that? I couldn't hear you." He stated.
"Um— I'll be right back! Stay right there!" You said, dashing away. "Y/N, get back here!" You heard him call, but he didn't pursue you. You ran to your room and picked up the gift you'd bought for Riddle. In truth, you'd bought it as a peace offering so that he hopefully wouldn't be as mad.
You made your way quickly back to the lounge where Riddle still stood grumpy. "Here." You said, handing him the gift: a box containing decent-quality colored pens. "For when you're taking notes." You added as he took the gift, no longer mad.
In fact, he was kind of flustered. "O- Oh, well, thank you. But please ask before taking money from my wallet again." He said.
You smiled and nodded, but the silence that followed for a few seconds was kind of awkward. "... wait, these pens wouldn't have cost so much money." Silence. "What else did you buy?" He asked with a deadpan expression. "Uh...." You thought back to the four other bags of stuff stashed away in your closet.

Leona looked at you with a pointed expression. "Mind explaining?" He leaned back, his wallet discarded on the table once more and back to sitting next to you. Well, you can't say you were surprised that he figured it out so quickly.
"Well, seeing as how you have more money than I can think of ways to spend it— not to mention, you left it wide open on the table, so it's fair game— I decided to get some new shoes since my old ones were kinda falling apart." You explained, shrugging.
"Use your own money then." He frowned. "Okay, fine, next time I will. To be honest, I didn't think you'd notice given that you have so much of it." You blatantly admitted.
He smirked. "Looks like an herbivore can have some bite in them. Anyway, I was just kidding. Use however much Madol you want, I can always get more from back home." He said.
You eyed him up and down. "Are you being serious right now or just screwing with me?" You glared at him as he took his time answering the question. "Would I have suggested it if I wasn't? Also, I'm unfortunately not scr—"
You almost whacked him in the head as he leaned in closer, chuckling as he deflected your hand with ease. You snickered. "Well, if that's the case..." You hopped off his bed— he scowled when you did— and snatched up his wallet. "I'll be going out for just a little bit."
"Uh—" He started to stand up as you left the room. "Nuh-uh-uh! You said it yourself, I can use however much I want." You slipped out of his room as he gave an exasperated sigh and sank back down onto his bed, defeated.

You looked over from your position at the windowsill. You really thought that he'd never discover that he was missing any Madol since he had an overwhelming amount of it. "Y/N, I'm missing some Madol. Do you remember me buying anything yesterday? I don't think I did." Kalim put his hand to his chin thoughtfully.
"Uh- no, that was me." You said, smiling sheepishly. Kalim looked relieved yet also surprised. "Oh, okay! I thought that I had bought something in my sleep or something since I couldn't remember buying anything." Kalim laughed, putting both of his hands on his hips.
Then he blinked, now curious. "What did you buy?" He asked. You held a hand up to point to your hair. "I just got my hair trimmed a few inches." You replied. Kalim's eyes went to your hair, then he became crestfallen.
"Kalim?? What's wrong?" You asked, hurrying over to him. With a sad frown, he looked up. "I didn't even notice you changed your hair!" Well, to be fair, you also didn't notice that you were missing a decent amount of money either... You thought dryly, but outwardly, you comforted him.
"Woah woah woah, it's fine, Kalim! I only just got it today, of course you wouldn't have noticed it." You said reassuringly, giving him a side hug. He sniffed, looking at you, then slowly brightening up. "I... guess you're right."
He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into a hug, now fully back to normal. "Well, if you ever want to use my money, you don't even have to ask! In fact, you should take me with you!" He exclaimed. "I'd love to go shopping with you!!"
This was a little itsy bitsy post I made since I realized it's been like a week (estimate) since I've actually posted a oneshot, so here one is. It's definitely short but my brain isn't braining. Anyways, hope you enjoyed this short post! Have a good day/night. 💚
