Ahhh thank you! I tried explaining it in text multiple times but I found the image speaks better for itself! That said, I’ll try and lay out some of the principles

Explanation beneath the cut

* Unless it’s a profile, the nose is made up of three lines. Two to represent the nostrils in the front view, and one for a nostril and another for the shape of the other side of the nose on the 3/4 view. These don’t vary much between characters.

* The nose bridge line in the 3/4 does vary drastically between characters because it depends on the shape of their nose, I’ll put some examples from my OCs to show the difference. For a more anime look, keep the nose bridge line curved.

* The easiest way to show form in this style is with the small shadow under the nose which is an upside down triangle, with the point between the space below the nostrils. When the face is turned, the shadow is still the same shape but distorted, just keep the point in the same place and it’ll look like it’s rotating.

Azurine (left) has got an anime-ish button nose like Killua, while Vermillion (right) has a nose bump and has much squarer features, so the shape of the line matters a lot for defining the shape.

I’m sorry if this is hard to understand and I hope it helps!

can't stop thinking about the secretly good version of the lost hero in which we only have jason's pov so there's genuine tension revolving around the fact that he doesn't have his memories and have no way of knowing if he can really trust piper and leo (and neither do us, cause we don't know them either) of if they can trust him (cause he has no way of knowing if he had something to do with percy disappearence, and if once he gets his memories back he won't discover he's a threat to them - something similar to the yotsuba arc in death note, with memoryless Light

Yknow. I do forsee a potential plot point for Netflix-levania to somehow have Dracula as a villain back, even with the end of the previous series. Obligation. He's no longer the weary widower, and with Lisa's return there's closure. He's lived as a man. He understands man. He may not even hate man. Maybe.

And yet he's back because the other Vampires are fucking it up and now daddy's home to bring back order. He's no longer gunning for genocide, but honestly, the politicking of the vampires who are so far up their own asses, they need to be reminded who's really in charge. His death left a power vacuum, a particularly annoying vacuum. Maybe the little things of humanity irk him, but vampires are everything they have but turned up to 11.

So at the end it's a formality. He'll come back, clean things up among vampire society, make enough of a mess to get a Belmont to kill him, then turn in for another 100 years.

Does this make him too noble? Probably. If you want the grandiose "What is a man" Dracula, you can extrapolate from "It's an obligation" and have him actively resent people pulling him out of the afterlife from Lisa so fucking much, that he leans too hard into the role. The part of him who's evil out of obligation and the part who's evil out of resentment begin to blur the lines. Is he the lord of darkness because that's the role he's been cast and is simply going through the motions or his he just so simply done with the whole process that he refuses to give up an inch of power to any other Vampire (or human) because they're all just children in his eyes?

It could still ultimately culminate in a Soma Cruz plot line where after 1999 he quits so hard that he refuses to even return to the role properly but it doesn't matter because his mere presence fills the vacuum, even when he does nothing (not for the lack of trying from others).

Maybe that's a bit petulant in its own right. YMMV, but I think that's the point. For being such an archetypal lord of all evil villains, how he fills it is shockingly dynamic. He's evil for evils sake, a beacon of arrogance, or a truly tragic villain. Depends on what's needed. If he does come back, I do want to really see a "Castlevania does Bram Stoker's Dracula. Genuinely. It's just an adaptation for the original novel because that's Canon to the original Castlevania timeline, and it'd be funny to properly reveal that Quincy Morris is a Belmont (And his son fights WW1 vampires and grandson WW2)."

My favorite hc is that after years training to become batman, when bruce finally comes back to gotham he's immediately forced into taking business management classes at gotham uni by a very tired lucius fox who is NOT going to run your company alone bruce you better learn to do your damn job and learn FAST

So during his first years as batman, and by the time he adopts dick, bruce is still very much just a college student

And he hates it :)

And he's bad at it :)

'cause it's not at all related to his hyperfixation (fighting crime) so he's having a terrible horrible very bad time :)

Btw this is how he meets half of his villains. Harvey was graduating by the time he decided to adopt dick and he helped him to convince the court that he was a suitable guardian for the kid (this was also the moment he developed his life long crush on harvey)

Harley and Ivy were getting their phD

Jonathan was on his first year as a teacher (bruce took one of his classes and actually liked it a lot)

And there's probably more. This person made a list of batman's villains who have a phD. Not all of them went to gotham uni, of course, but still

i agree, supernatural stuff aside jonathan also has a personality that reminds me of dogs.

obedient to his boss, eager to please, thrilled to be praised, unconditionally loyal and fiercely protective of his wife, works well with a 'pack'

--locks onto a quarry and absolutely hates having to pause his pursuit...

But to be fair, while Jonathan ticks off most of the traditionally canine boxes, so does much of the gang. Both in positive and negative traits.

Positive: Loyal! Friendly! Want to protect! Get that bad guy! Teamwork! I love everyone here!

Negative: A Bad Thing Has Happened and It Is Surely Entirely My Fault, For I Am a Beacon of Sin and Error, the Worst Thing Alive, Please Forgive Me, But Actually Don't, I Do Not Deserve Anything Until I Have Atoned (tm)

The main difference with Jonathan is that he's the one getting the most physical/mindset shifts to go along with it. It's like picking up this from the pound:

Then you blink, and suddenly your good friend Jonathan has Pokemon-evolved into:

But under the right circumstances, he occasionally has to summon the wrath of a 1000 incensed beasts to hunt and end whatever foul quarry dared to menace those he loves. He has a knife, but he would eat the heart out of his target if need be. Hunt. Destroy. Protect Loved One at All Costs.

I have not made a drac design! I want to, I'm just struggling to reconcile Bram Stoker's Drac with 2004 Van Helsing Dracula which is the one that lives forever in my heart.

tbh, this isn't the most fleshed out AU. This concept, character designs, everything, was inspired by @foxgoblin‘s line “Dr Seward’s podcast (sponsored by coca-cola and nintendo)” That one single line moved into my head, not quite rent free, but maybe into a timeshare for a modest fee. I only have a couple comics planned and they're mostly like the sponsor my cows one- quick and jokey.

If there WERE a full universe, it would be a college AU. When I tried to think of an alternative to death for Lucy, my first thought was grad school, which is basically death for your social life, right?

The Squad would all be in school or recently graduated as doctors/lawyers/etc, and Dracula is a corporate lawyer and part time teacher. Jonathan must escape from a summer internship at his evil law firm with his soul intact. The hair color is a dye job. He's rebelling against the strict standards of corporate law and definitely going to end up doing something like the Innocence project or fighting slum lords or joining the ACLU post-graduation.

Van Helsing is the ethics professor and teaches a required course for MDs and JDs. Quincey's college aged, but owns or works on a ranch. Maybe Jack is SOON to be a psychiatrist and just runs a late night college radio station where he answers people's relationship questions. He's turning it into a podcast. Art's going to be a phlebotomist and tell people his theories about how giving blood is like being married. Mina is supporting Jonathon through school with the goal of eventually being a SAHM and focusing on her writing career (autobiographical, of course).

The school is Drac University. Jonathon attends its law school, Drac U Law.
