HABITS TO IMPLEMENT 
Movement (yoga, running, Pilates, walking, gym, etc. Anything that allows you to move your body 
Reflection- make a note of things you would like to improve on. This could be self-love, relationships, 
STAY CONSISTENT
Consistency is key. Make sure to stick to your plan and keep working towards your goals every day. Even small steps are progress. Try to make your goal part of your daily routine. 
HOW TO STAY CONSISTENT 
SCHEDULE- Setting schedules helps really well with consistency. Make a schedule for the tasks you need to do daily or weekly to achieve your goals. This can help you make your goals a part of your routine, making it easier to stay consistent.
STAY ORGANIZED- Keep track of your tasks and goals. Use tools like calendars, to-do lists, or apps to help you stay organized and remember what you need to do.
DISCIPLINE YOURSELF- Sometimes, you won't feel like working towards your goals, and that's okay. The key is to maintain discipline and do the task anyway. Remember, consistency is about doing the task regularly, not just when you feel like it.
START SMALL- Don't overwhelm yourself with huge tasks. Start small and gradually increase your workload as you build consistency.
DON’T BE TOO HARD ON YOURSELF- If you miss a day, don't beat yourself up. Instead, acknowledge that it happened, understand why, and move on. Consistency is about long-term progress, not perfection.
CREATE A PLAN
Once you know what your goals are, create a step-by-step plan on how to achieve them. Break down each goal into smaller, manageable tasks. This might involve creating a timeline, setting deadlines, or identifying resources or tools you might need.
LEAVE THINGS IN THE PAST 
In 2023, I’m sure everyone has had ups and downs, but not letting them define you as a person is something that has to be done in order for you to become a new person.
HOW TO LEAVE THINGS IN THE PAST
ACCEPTANCE-  Acknowledge the past and accept it as part of your life story. Understand that it's something that has shaped you but doesn't define you.
FORGIVENESS- Forgive yourself and others. Holding onto resentment only harms you. Letting go of grudges can bring a sense of peace and open up space for healthier relationships.
LEARN FROM IT- Every experience, good or bad, is an opportunity to learn. Reflect on these experiences and use them as stepping stones to better decisions in the future.
FOCUS ON THE PRESENT- The past is unchangeable, but the present is in your control. Concentrate on what you can do now to create a positive future.
SET NEW GOALS- Create new objectives for yourself. This gives you something to work towards and helps shift your focus from the past to the future.
PRACTISE MINDFULNESS- Mindfulness is about staying focused on the present moment. Practices like meditation can help you stay grounded and prevent you from dwelling on the past.
ADJUST YOUR PLAN AS NEEDED
It's okay if your initial plan doesn't work out exactly as you thought. Life happens, and it's important to be flexible and adapt your plan as needed. If you find that a certain approach isn't working, don't be afraid to try something different.
PRACTICE SELF CARE
Remember to take care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally. This can include things like getting enough sleep, eating healthy, exercising regularly, and taking time to relax and do things you enjoy. Don't forget that self-care is an important part of reaching your goals.
WAYS TO PRACTICE SELF CARE-
BALANCED DIET-  There is no need to restrict yourself from foods but eating a healthy, balanced diet is crucial for maintaining physical health. Try to include plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains in your diet.
EXERCISE REGULARLY- Regular physical activity can help reduce stress, improve mood, and boost overall health. This doesn't necessarily mean going to the gym - it could be anything from a brisk walk to a yoga class
GET ENOUGH SLEEP-  Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Establish a regular sleep schedule and create a relaxing bedtime routine to improve sleep quality.
STAY HYDRATED-  Drinking enough water each day is important for overall health. Try to aim for at least 8 glasses per day.
TAKE BREAKS- Make sure to take regular breaks throughout the day, especially if you're working or studying. This can help prevent burnout and improve productivity.
DO THINGS YOU ENJOY- Make time for hobbies or activities you enjoy. This could be anything from reading a book to playing a sport to painting. 
  CELEBRATE SMALL THINGS
Don't wait until you've reached your big goal to celebrate. Celebrate small wins along the way to keep your motivation high. This could be treating yourself to something you enjoy, or simply taking a moment to acknowledge your achievement.
REFLECTING ON THE PAST YEAR
Think about how the past year went. Did you learn anything? Did you reach new goals? If you don't the answers to these questions, I recommend further examining your year!!

STYLE
• Change my hair color
• Make a clothing vision board
• Find your signature scent
SPACE
• Organize my room
• Get rid of clothes/objects I no longer use
• Organize my workstation, make it an environment pretty, fun and productive
• Make your bed for 21 days
• Keep your room clean for 21 days.
BODY
• Find a skin care routine, invest in great skin products.
• Find a workout plan that works for you and stay consistent for a month.
• Get at least 8 hours of sleep for 21 days
MIND
• Set boundaries with school or work, prioritize my mental health.
• journal in the morning for a week Every day for two weeks, write down 3 things you are grateful for

FINANCIAL
• Set a budget
• Learn to say no when it comes to spending money.
• Find inexpensive date ideas (picnic, baking, movie night, etc.)
• Take part of my salary and invest or keep it
• Don't buy things you don't have need
INTELLECTUAL
• Read a book this month (self-help books are the best)
• Learn a new skill (piano, painting, makeup, sports, etc.)
• Listen to a podcast while getting ready in the morning
SOCIAL
• Stay away from toxic people
• Spend an hour with a friend every day for a week
• Call a friend instead of texting them
FOOD
• Drink three bottles of water every day for 21 days.
• Find new recipes and cook more

i take music so dead serious like it is not casual or a joke to me at all and i have to remind myself to hold back my reaction and not snap when someone says they dont like a certain genre or expresses something closed minded or shares incorrect information. i'll hear one of my friends say "yeah i just don't like country music" and i'll have to actively leave the conversation and take deep breaths and hold back tears. im normal btw

Habits to get into in 2024
Drink enough water People usually say you’re supposed to drink 8 glasses a day, but that is more of an arbitrary number. It can be an orientation, but ultimately just drink the amount of water that makes you feel good
Get (at least) 8 hours of sleep This one is not an arbitrary number. Go to sleep! It’s important
Simplify your skincare routine While a lot of ppl online make it seem like the more products the better, that doesn’t have to be true for you. You could wash your face with water or do the classic “cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen”. This also produces less waste and costs less time
Go for a walk everyday Getting in movement and fresh air everyday is important for both your mental and your physical health
Do stretches/yoga everyday Additionally stretches can help improve your mobility and reduce back pain
Eat nutritious meals Food has to be filling and delicious. Remember the formula of protein, carbs and fiber
Be kind to yourself and the planet waste separation, public transportation, buying secondhand etc. you know the drill
Practice consistency Focus on discipline instead of motivation and actually keep up with your goals. A habit tracker is helpful to do this
Give yourself breaks You can only be productive if you allow yourself to not always be productive. Take breaks and actually find things that help you relax. You deserve it
Be kind & open towards new people You attract the energy that you put out. Be kind

BE OK WITH MAKINNG MISTAKES
Allowing yourself to make mistakes is a huge part of human development. At a young age we are all told "nobody's perfect, everyone makes mistakes" but the older we get, the more pressure we feel to not fail. Make mistakes so you can learn and grow from them! You’re constantly changing and growing from who you once were into who you are today and who you will be one day.
OTHERS OPINIONS DON'T MATTER
Don’t worry about what society thinks or expects of you. You can’t make everyone happy, so this is a waste of time and will only slow you down on your journey to being the best you.
STOP COMPARING
Comparing ourselves to others is natural. But it can be dangerous. There’s just no point in comparing yourself to anyone else on the planet because there’s only one you. Rather, focus on yourself and your journey.
DON'T BE AFRAID TO PUT YOURSELF FIRST
Although there’s a time and a place for this, it shouldn’t’ be a habit that costs you your mental or emotional well-being.
Find the time to decompress. Without decompressing and recharging you can put serious strain on yourself. Whether it’s spending the day in bed or outdoors in nature, find what helps you decompress and dedicate time to this.
SPEAK KINDLY TO YOURSELF
The world is full of harsh words and critique — don’t add yours to the mix. Speak kindly to yourself, and don’t call yourself mean things. Celebrate yourself. You’ve come so far and grown so much. Don’t forget to celebrate yourself, and not only on your birthday!
LET GO OF TOXIC PEOPLE
Not everybody takes responsibility for the energy they put out into the world. If there’s someone who is bringing toxicity into your life and they won’t take responsibility for it, that might mean you need to step away from them. Don’t be afraid to do this. It’s liberating and important, even though it may be painful.
Remember: Protect your energy. It’s not rude or wrong to remove yourself from situations or the company of people who are draining you.

I forget who it was now but in the tags of one of my posts someone commented on how Steve’s got the boys and Billy has the girls (with Will being split custody - they most definitely fight over him) and listen, listen, listen. You’re so right, bestie.
And Billy constantly tells Steve that he doesn’t want to talk about the kids, doesn’t want to waste his time with Steve over pre-teen/teenage gossip, but Steve can’t help himself.
“I just need to ask you one thing, Billy,” he says. “One thing and then I promise I won’t bring up the kids again.” And Billy rolls his eyes because he knows that’s a lie, but he gestures for Steve to go on, and Steve asks, “What exactly did Lucas do this time? Like, seriously, why is Max so pissed at him?”
Billy doesn’t miss a beat. “He fucking knows what he did, Harrington.”
“I really don’t think he does,” says Steve, because he just spent an hour listening to Lucas and Mike try to reason through just what caused this particular break-up and honestly? The whole thing made Steve’s head hurt.
“Then he’s a fucking idiot,” Billy says, because he had to listen to Max and El rehash the whole argument and he’s second-hand furious at Lucas. “And so’s that little dickbag mini-Wheeler. You tell him to fucking apologize to El before I knock his fucking teeth out.”
“Mike? What the hell did Mike do?”
“Mike knows exactly what he did.”
“Again,” Steve says, sorry that he ever brought this up, because Billy is a pitbull when it comes to his girls and he should have known better, “I don’t think he does!”

REALIZING YOU’RE SURROUNDED BY NEGATIVE ENERGY
Hi girls! Often times, we feel certain ways and we can’t really explain it, but something just feels off. In my opinion, in those moments, it is your intuition trying to let you know that you’re surrounding yourself with negative energy. Here are some reasons why your energy might not be as optimal as you’d want it to be.
1. THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU HAVE ILL-INTENTIONS
Girls, if I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again: BE AWARE OF THE PEOPLE YOU SURROUND YOURSELF WITH. It is SO important to recognize when someone doesn’t have your best interests at heart. If you keep them around, all they’ll do is drag you down to there level.
2. YOU KNOW THAT YOU AREN’T LIVING YOUR LIFE THE WAY IT WAS MEANT TO BE LIVED
Whether it be with life goals, education or personal issues, if you feel like something is internally off, it most likely is. Take some time to reflect on who you are and what you ultimately want for yourself. Create a life that is the most fulfilling to YOU, not to anyone else.
3. COMPARAISON; THE THIEF OF JOY
If you are someone who is constantly on social media and following people living your “dream life”, it’s no shock that your energy feels off. Envy and jealousy can bring your energy from 100 to 0 real quick. Instead of looking at others and thinking about how you want what they have, think about what you can do to achieve what you desire.

— Things to do in the month of January to Start Fresh —
✿ Clean Your Room! Put on some music, light a candle, and let the light in. A clean room will always make you feel happy and accomplished.
✿ Start drinking more water! Water is the best thing that can exist. It helps keep you hydrated and even energized. It’ll also help your skin!
✿ Start reading! Reading helps expand your vocabulary and if you’re one to daydream… it’s perfect! It also feels rewarding to finish a book.
✿ Be active! Start going on walksc runs, or yoga. try out pilates or cardio. Even dancing is being active. Try to avoid sitting down all day, let your body move!
✿ Eat healthier! it’s okay to eat junk food from time to time, but make sure you’re getting the right amount of nutrients in your body.
✿ Deep Clean Your Phone! Delete old contacts, old messages, photos, emails, playlists, downloads, apps, and notes. Unfollow people on social media you don’t interact with or don’t even know! Start your phone on a fresh slate.
✿ Make a budget! Start saving a certain amount of money each month so that in the end of the year you’ve saved enough to buy yourself something nice.
✿ Hang out with friends and family! or make new friends. Spending time with the people you love to be around is always rewarding.
✿ Wake up early and go to bed early! Good sleep schedules is good for your mental health and can help fatigue and bad moods.
✿ Forgive. Let what happened a year ago or more go. Start the new year off without any grudges.
✿ Start a simple skincare routine! Routines can help you learn discipline and your skin will love you!
