Superman: Hey Batman congratulations on adopting your son! My mom insisted I bring you this… are you okay?
Batman, looking especially bedraggled, dragging a hand down his face: huh? Yes. I’m fine. I it’s just that I can’t find him.
Superman: What? do you mean you LOST HIM?
Batman: shhh, be quiet
*scuttling from above*
Batman, squinting: he’s in the rafters.
Superman: the wHAT!?
Batman: what did you bring?
Superman looking up frantically: the rafters?!?- I brought pie but why are you asking me tha-
Batman: ROBIN COME, PIE!
*scuttling stops, then rapidly moves closer*
Robin!dick: please give me some pie please
Batman: come down here first. If you try to eat upside down you’ll choke.
Robin!dick: not true I’ve been practicing!

More of the love spell no go au, because of course I did. This one is a little more bittersweet, because it covers the start of Steve's reaction to both the Russian torture and creeping dread that the Upside Down stuff will keep coming back.
He and Eddie are still close! But Steve is about to make some reluctant choices about his eating and activity habits, because he views it as his duty to help keep everyone he cares about safe.
Part 1, part 1.5, part 2
The day Eddie walks up to Scoops Ahoy and it’s still shuttered, he immediately knows that something is wrong. He has Steve’s schedule memorized, and even if he’d called out Robin would still be here. Uneasy, he goes back out to the parking lot and tries casting a locator spell in his van, sweat dripping into his eyes because the AC is still on the fritz.
According to the spell, Steve is miles below the mall. That can’t be right. And usually when Eddie’s magic is a flop he keeps getting different wrong answers, like a math problem that you know you’re forgetting a step somewhere but can’t figure out what it is no matter how many times you do it over. This is consistent: below the mall. Or, below the mall and shifting gradually towards the left at a reasonable walking pace.
It’s so weird that Eddie speeds home and wakes Uncle Wayne, which is usually something he avoids doing but this feels important. Wayne helps him with the spell, but the result is still the same. All Wayne can do is shrug and tell Eddie to trust his intuition when it comes to magic, because making it work through the earth like that can be tricky but Eddie must have at least been casting strong to get such consistent results, and goes back to bed.
Eddie’s confidence in his magic has frankly been shattered ever since the love spell backfired, and he’s actually woefully out of practice for that exact reason. But he drives to approximately directly above where Steve is (a field maybe a mile or two from the mall) and starts casting whatever protection spells he can think of. One of them might only protect Steve from getting cavities, or it might prevent the loss of entire teeth and/or finger and toe nails. He’s not sure. But hey, the dude works in an ice cream shop, better safe than sorry right?
The downside of being so out of practice is that Eddie wears himself out. He keeps at it for most of Wednesday night and Thursday morning, but passes out around afternoon and wakes up in the back of the van after dark drenched in sweat from laying in the van all day even with the windows cracked open, probably lucky he didn’t get heat stroke. At first he can’t figure out where he is or what woke him, but he stumbles outside and sees a plume of smoke rising from where Starcourt Mall used to be, and…
Steve is just walking over to check on Nancy and Jonathan when Eddie’s van screeches up and Eddie himself jumps the barrier that’s supposed to keep civilians out. That’s the first word that comes to Steve’s mind—civilian—because for a few months there he’d managed to forget. But his head hurts, his face hurts, he’d nearly had a fingernail pried off until Robin had blurted out about the code, and the military guys still had yet to find his car keys that the Russians had confiscated. Steve is tired and hungry and still waiting to find out how bad the car crash (which he hadn’t mentioned to the paramedics, one too many things to remember at the time) fucked up his neck, and he forgets to self-moderate. He drops his shock blanket to grab Eddie in a clingy hug, eyes shut tight as he huffs “Don’t ask what happened, just don’t” into Eddie’s shoulder.
The scents of leather and weed have never been more comforting before.
“Hey Munson,” Robin says tiredly, wandering over. “We’re friends-in-law now.”
“What?” Eddie manages over Steve’s disheveled, unwashed hair.
“Steve and I threw up together and became platonic soul mates,” she explains.
“Trauma bonded,” Steve adds, still into Eddie’s jacket. Which kind of explains it a little better. Sort of.
“Not asking,” Eddie decides after a confused moment. “Platonic soulmates, got it. Uh…” He looks around helplessly, recognizing Nancy and Jonathan in the background but no one else in the crowd and he’s just. Standing here with a magnificent hangover and an arm full of Steve Harrington in a bloodied sailor suit. “Anyone need a ride home?”
Only Steve and Robin take him up on the ride, which is fine. He drops Robin off first, and as he’s pulling out of her driveway Steve says, “I don’t know if it’s okay to go to sleep with a concussion.”
Eddie eases the break back on and turns to stare at him. “You have a concussion?”
Steve blinks slowly back at him. “Yeah, kinda.”
“Well… didn’t the EMTs tell you what to do? Like, how to tell if you should go to a hospital or something?”
He shrugs. “I don’t remember. Um… my parents aren’t home though, so I don’t know… Could I stay with you?”
Immediately Eddie thinks of Steve’s big house in Loch Nora, which he’d skulked around a time or two to sell at parties and pine from a distance, compared to the single-wide Munson trailer in Forest Hills. “I don’t know if you’d be comfortable—”
“It’s too much empty space,” Steve says, and there’s a look in his eyes that Eddie hasn’t seen since the first few times he bought weed. Like he’ll sit up all night jumping at shadows. And Eddie gets not wanting to be alone after being in a mall fire (apparently?), but what had put that look there before Starcourt?
“… My place it is.”
Medically, Steve is actually fine to stay alone. He hadn’t been the last time around, after Billy had cracked that plate on his skull, and that’s why Hopper had sent him home with Dustin once the gate was closed; Mrs. Henderson had been a nurse before turning to telemarketing as a way to stay home more with her son. As sure as Steve had been at the time that the Russians had beaten him harder than that, he’s much better then than he had been in November.
Except he’s not. Because Hopper is dead, and even with the gate closed this shit had still managed to come back, and that makes Steve the man of the group but he’s too scared to sleep in his own house, which is full either of dark ceilings for monsters to crawl out of or light bulbs that could start flickering at any moment. So instead he’s here lying on his side, freshly showered and back to back with Eddie on a twin bed that feels like it’s seen better days. Staring at the bedroom door because the thought of sleeping with his back to it had made his throat feel tight. Maybe that was the whiplash, but he doubts it.
Steve knows in his bones that the Upside Down isn’t done with Hawkins yet. He needs to train, to get ready… There’s Robin and Erica to think about, freshly drawn into this, one basically all his fault and the other too young to be dealing with horrors like this no matter whose fault it was. There’s Dustin (electrocuted that Russian doctor to death) and Max (watched Billy die) and the rest of the gremlins (Eleven, fuck, she just lost her dad), freshly re-traumatized and just two months out from entering the meat grinder that was freshman year at Hawkins High. If nothing else, he has to be strong for them. Which means…
Steve sighs, hugging himself tightly under the thin sheet. This whole summer he’d been leaning into doing whatever he felt like, and it hadn’t exactly prepared him for an emergency situation. He’d gotten lucky knocking out that one guard, sheer body weight leaning an extra oomph to the hit he’d landed, and that had ended the fight pretty quickly. But it hadn’t gotten him into the room with vent access fast enough to avoid getting himself and Robin captured. Being on the verge of needing to order the next size up in his work uniform hadn't lent him any protection against that Russian truth serum. All his summer of indulgences had led to was eating multiple bags of trash corn while trying to comprehend Back to the Future, which… not his proudest moment, really, but he had been drugged.
Anyway. The point is, he needs to get back in shape. He is not going to turn into King Steve again, but maybe if he could just get some of it back. Start jogging and working out again, and not indulging his sweet tooth all the time. It’ll suck, but he’s gotta protect his friends—protect Eddie, who hopefully will never have to know about monsters and Russians and little girls with mind powers.
So Steve spends a sleepless night mourning the ice cream cones on his lunch breaks, and extra burgers or slices of pizza whenever ordering takeout, and the way Eddie watches him sometimes. And that last one… Maybe it won’t go away entirely, because they’re close now. Close enough that Steve can apparently just invite himself over and Eddie just lets him without protest, and Steve likes the trailer, likes that it’s small and cozy and actually looks lived in and loved.
Around dawn, he rolls over and tentatively snuggles up against Eddie’s back, tucking an arm around him when Eddie moves unconsciously towards him rather than away.
It’ll hurt to lose any of this. But he knows that Eddie will be some amount of disappointed in him for falling back into the jock mold, so… he just wants to hold on a little longer.

Boyfriend — Headcannons // S.H
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
do you have just any plain old headcannons for being steve’s boyfriend? @lover-boy-mlm
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
• Steve really likes to kiss you in public…
• It’s mostly so other guys understand who you belong to, it’s kind of a possessive thing (in a good way)
• Steve is a dork, has a charming personality which had you whipped most of the time. He’s practically a fairy-tale prince, from his luscious long hair to his clothes.
• Yes, Steve is a little behind sometimes so when you correct him he kinda jokes about it (sometimes maybe a little to much) but it usually makes you laugh, his mocking is pretty funny, especially towards people you don’t like
• The sleeping arrangements are usually the same, Steve has you wrapped up in his arms, attaching you to his side, keeping you safe
• Steve is also very…VERY protective. Much like with the kids, he treats you with a kind of sterness, he wants you safe and uninjured, so the upside down is a place he wants to keep you away from…
• You both find a guilty pleasure in dancing underneath the streetlights at random times in the early mornings of the next day (usually on the weekends) it’s something Steve loves to do-
• Loves to hold your hand ANYWHERE, even in his bedroom, sitting on his bed or laying on the floor or even playing the Nintendo
• He gets a little flustered when you play with his hair and compliment on how soft and fluffy it is, it’s his pride and any words you shower him with implode his ego
• When you guys get serious, it usually involves situations dealing with unwanted feelings (Steve is a very deep lover) so you guys always check in daily, just to make sure the other is okay
• All of his friends love you, including Nancy, she actually confronted Steve to congratulate him for being himself and on being happy, Robin can’t handle it and loves having someone else to relate/vibe with, Eddie loves your music taste and often flirts (but jokingly)
• You and Steve both are mostly into the same things which strengthens the relationship, although your clothing style was the only thing that clashed with one another
• Steve buys you crop tops on purpose-
• One time on Valentine’s, Steve ended up knocking on your door with a bouquet of Roses and a box of your chocolates (because you have a really bad sweet tooth)
• Steve is the only boy that’s ever made you feel special (and that’s ever made you blush-)
• You both have great love language, When he’s using his sarcasm as a defence tactic you counter-act with the same thing which only shocks him….but secretly turns him on cause-
NSFW ~
• Steve is always most certainly the top, he loves to take control and make you feel good, but every once in a while loves to feel like he’s being cared for
• He goes feral when you wear certain laced items such as lingerie he bought from the shops located deeper into the centre of Hawkins
• Loves it when you use WAY too much lube, every is slick and slippery and it drives him insane how easy it is to slip inside of you
• Takes time to prep you, he isn’t exactly small, so expect LOTS of sensations, including his tongue (he eats ass so good)
• Loves it when you allow him to use your throat as he wishes, face-fucking is his BIGGEST kink and he’ll stop a nothing to make a mess, he certainly loves how willing you are to take it
• He’s hairy all over including his chest which not only turns you on, but himself, he definitely takes a liking to it, makes him feel more buff and he knows how crazy it drives you
• Definitely takes “Devil between the sheets” to literate. He makes it known how good he is, how the roll and pace of his hips can change so well, how slow and gentle or rough and fast he can be
• Loves using nicknames on you, definitely a “Sweetheart” “Baby boy” “Baby” kinda guy, he knows how flustered they get you which he relishes in
• HICKIES…just saying, your necks covered in them, you always have to wear shirts with high collars to cover the various red patches of skin
• His breeding kink is…out of hand (in the best way possible) which leads to alot of…intimate activities with him. (Also loves just marking you with his cum ANYWHERE)
• His aftercare is AMAZING, you can’t get enough of the back massages and pampering, the praises of how proud he was. He really showers you with alot of love.
• He cleans you up with a damp cloth…ever single time, gently and softly whilst kissing you and telling you how good you were for him
• (you don’t think he keeps your previously worn pairs of panties…why can you never find them after sex?)
• His draws are FULL of Polaroids of your naked body for when your not there…he’s a SIMP OKAY-

Being in a relationship with Robin and being best friends with Eddie-Headcanon
Summary:This is just a quick little thing about being in a relationship with Robin Buckley and also being best friends with Eddie Munson and how that kinda goes. I don’t really know where this started or how it ended. I started typing and just kept typing.
Pairing: Romantic! Robin Buckley x afab!Reader  Platonic!Eddie Munson x afab!Reader
Warnings:Angst, upside down, uhm fluff, homophobes, underage drinking, neglect and probably more but I’m terrible at these.

~You had grown up being best friends with Eddie. You lived in Wayne’s trailer park and every time Eddie was over you were combined at the hip.
~Even though he was older he never fussed about you wanting to tag along with him.
~Wayne had practically raised you as well since your parents were always on benders and didn’t take care of you much, leaving you to fend for yourself more often than not.
~You dealt alongside Eddie and would split the profits so Eddie would have some extra cash and you could feed yourself.
~You tagged along to all the Corroded Coffin music sessions.
~Also played dnd with Eddie, the guys and the kids.
~Eddie had opened up to you many years ago that he was gay and you were unwaveringly supportive of him.
~You were even supportive of him telling you about his crush on Steve Harrington. Even if the guys had been a complete douchebag most of his life.
~You had opened up to him about your attraction to both guys and girls.
~He was supportive as always. Especially when you told him you had a crush on Robin Buckley.
~The boy was doing everything in his power to set you guys up.
~When all the stuff happened with the upside down you were along for the ride.
~You had been in the trailer with Eddie and Chrissy that night and a neighbor had seen that and told the police so you were also on the run.
~As soon as the gang had found you Eddie and you were both hellbent on setting each other up.
~You were dropping hints to Steve and Eddie was not so subtly dropping hints to Robin.
~You had dragged Eddie away from the demobats right before they could kill him.
~The months following the earth shattering experience had consisted of the whole gang spending tons of time together.
~Eventually Eddie and Steve got together after they both got drunk and confessed their feelings for one another.
~You and Robin had gotten together after Nancy made it blatantly obvious that you both had feelings for each other.
~The days that you would all hang out were absolutely hilarious.
~You and Steve would be on the side in casual conversation while Eddie and Robin were going on a tangent about something random. They would occasionally ask you both questions and you would mumble a response or just nod in understanding.
~But time spent with just Robin was amazing.
~She was very space minded and constantly forgot dates so you would write notes and stick them on everything. Steve does the same for Eddie so you have to color code them.
~She would talk your ear off about work or about something Steve said and you would listen to her intently.
~You would have to remind her to eat and drink water, so you always carried snacks around which wasn’t out of the norm because you did the same with Eddie.
~Being with Robin was a lot like being friends with Eddie. The both of them were so similar sometimes it was eerie. But they said the same about you and Steve.
~That's why you think you all got on so well. You were basically dating the opposite sex of your best friend.
~You all spend a lot of time at Steve’s house until you find one to rent together.
~Wayne becomes a parent to Steve and Robin, Steves being absent and Robins not paying attention to her.
~You all have family dinners together and Wayne is so happy that both of his kids have people to make him happy.
~But you guys aren’t very public with your relationship. Coming from a conservative town it made it hard to be open about your sexuality.
~But the few people that you did tell were very supportive. Mostly meaning the kids that you were raising as a group.
~Robin was the most attentive girlfriend when you needed someone to be there for you.
~She likes to bring you little trinkets, like rocks or leaves or something random she finds that reminds her of you. You have a drawer dedicated to stuff she has gotten you and one dedicated to stuff Eddie has brought you.
~She loves to hold your hand and cuddle with you. Plays with your hair while you lay on her chest.
~Gives you little kisses all over your face, like literally always peppering your face with kisses.
~Likes to go to the movies with you because it’s dark and she can hold your hand without anyone noticing.
~The girl loves to feed you, whether it's skittles or a whole slice of pizza, it's her favorite thing to do.
~She likes when you wear her shirts or just any of her clothes in general, she thinks it’s the cutest thing ever.
~Makes you bracelets, which is something Eddie also does so your wrists are literally full of them.
~Will absolutely adore everything you do, the way you smile, laugh, brush your hair, sneeze, literally everything.
~Overall I 10/10 want to be in this relationship and this friendship.
A/N:I love this thought and I would be willing to write maybe a couple blurbs about this group.

🖋️ want another blanket?— you know Im picking Billy and fluff of course! 😊
slumber party shenanigans
billy hargrove x gn!reader
a/n: hi!!! i thought of this pretty quickly and figured it could be sweet. i hope you like it!! thanks for sending one in <333
————
🖋️ want another blanket?—i will write you a little ficlet (under 1000 words) for the character of your choice. i would appreciate if you’d specify whether you want comfort/fluff/angst/whatever and i will try and come up with something for you!
“I don’t understand why we can’t go buy ice cream at the store and eat it here. Shit, baby, I’ll take you to that place in town if you want it that bad.”
“Because, Billy. They’re my friends! I’m being supportive of their endeavors.” Billy rolls his eyes at you. “How many times have I come to the pool while you’re working? Or how often do you come to the store and pretend like you’re in dire need of a book?”
“That’s different,” he says.
“No it’s not,” you argue, and then pause, thinking.
“They have strawberry cheesecake,” you add.
Billy stares at you, trying his best not to show any emotion. He disappears for a moment and comes back with shoes on and his keys.
“Let’s go then.”
You knew that would work.
When you get to Starcourt, Billy holds onto your hand for dear life. Not only has he avoided the mall as often as possible, but there are way too many shithead kids running around in here.
You turn a corner, and the crowd thins out, less children and more young adults meandering through the record store or walking towards the Gap. Billy spots the boat booth sticking out of Scoops Ahoy! and sighs.
There’s a long line, and it’s no wonder, because it’s fucking scorching out today. Robin looks up from where she’s been scooping ice cream into a cup and hands it to a sticky-fingered child. She catches your eye and perks up, her bored look turning into a much more pleased one.
Steve is at the register, poorly flirting with some girl you’re pretty sure you went to high school with. She awkwardly takes her change and walks away.
Robin slides over when you and Billy are at the counter. Steve’s rubbing his forehead, ashamed at himself. He’s really losing his charm. She elbows him.
“Ow, Robin! What the hell?”
“We have special guests!” She proclaims, smiling at you and Billy.
Steve finally looks up, focusing on the both of you. “Oh. Hi.”
Billy’s practically hiding behind you, his fingers tucked into the belt loops of your shorts. He really doesn’t like this.
“Hi, Robin. Steven,” you say. You’re the only one he’d let get away with that. Perks of spending time in the Upside Down one might say.
“What can I get the both of you on this fine Tuesday—it is Tuesday isn’t it?”
“Yes, Rob,” Steve reassures her.
“This fine Tuesday afternoon?” She finishes. You order for yourself and Billy does the same. You pretend not to see the glimmer in his eye at the prospect of his favorite ice cream. It’s hard to find these days.
You stand there while Robin takes her sweet time, possibly adding a little more than you asked for, just because she can.
Billy opens his wallet, handing Steve cash. “Harrington,” he says in greeting.
Steve nods, smiling as politely as he can. “Hargrove.” He takes the cash and counts out the change. “Everything going swell?”
Billy chuckles. “Yeah, I guess you could say that.”
Robin hands you both cones, and you give Billy his.
The four of you stand there for a moment. “Well,” you finally say, “I hope work goes okay today. You guys wanna see a movie for something this weekend?”
“Sure!” Robin says. She’d decidedly in charge of her and Steve’s outings.
“I’ll call you,” you tell her. She shoots you a wink and a thumbs up.
You walk away from the counter and turn to Billy. “I assume you don’t want to sit here and eat?”
He kisses your forehead in gratitude. “Please don’t do this to me. I’ll sit anywhere else.”
You laugh, watching him lick the ice cream that’s already begun to drip from the cone and then from his hand.
He raises his eyebrows. “See something you like?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know.” You pat him gently on the ass and move away from Scoops, off to find somewhere else to sit. You hope to revel in the air conditioning for a bit longer.

Let's be honest. Wouldn't robin look so good in a suit! We all know she would I can't stop imagining reader gawking at Robin in public but try to act like she's not because once again they're in public during the first time she saw her in a suit can you write this? Thanks
OF FUCKING COURSE I CAN??? ROBIN WOULD LOOK SO GOOD IN A SUIT!!! Also so sorry this has taken me so long i lost motivation lol
Warnings: reader being a fucking simp! Robin being her sexy self in a suit, fluff, teasing, implied smut but no smut
—-
Robin looked unfairly good, she always looked good; but right now she looked even better. Sure Robin looked amazing when she dressed even slightly feminine but seeing her in the suit she currently had on made you realize that masculine attire suited your girlfriend better than anything else. Robin had started out with a full ensemble, dress pants, a blazer, dress shirt, and tie. The whole nine yards, but halfway through the party she had decided to ditch the tie and unbutton her shirt just enough to show cleavage.
And you? Well you were absolutely suffering, Robin looked fucking hot! And you had to act like you weren’t absolutely eyefucking your girlfriend just because you were at a party. You brought your cup to your lips, a poor attempt to hide your ever growing blush. Robin was talking to Steve Harrington, her arms crossed and she practically radiated dominance its so unfair.
Robin glanced over to you, finally acknowledging the way you’ve been practically eating her alive since you saw her walk out of her house. She smirked, deciding that she’s suddenly too hot and needs to roll up her sleeves. You looked away, she was being a tease and it was working.
Robin seeing this smirked to herself, “Hey, I’m gonna go hang out with my girlfriend for a bit, I’ll catch up with you in a bit!” She yelled over the music. The suit having the exact effect she wanted on you. Robin wasn’t the most cunning or calculated person, but she picked up a few things from Nancy and put them to good use. Walking over to you she willed herself to keep her smirk down, even after she noticed just how flustered you were.
Robin finally reached you and crowded you against the wall, “hey beautiful, come here often?” She smiled, the cheesy pick up line rolling off her tongue with too much ease, she’d obviously been spending too much time with Eddie. You rolled your eyes and laughed “You’ve been spending too much time with Eddie!”
You still looked away though, she was so close and the temptation to call it a night and leave early so you could- you shake that thought from your head - your the one who dragged her here in the first place.
Robin giggled “maybe I have! But to be fair, you are the one who introduced us to each other” After the whole upside down thing you’d thought it would be a good idea to introduce the metal head and Robin to each other. A decision you were quickly regretting since of how much they got along, and how well Eddies mannerisms rubbed off on her. You did have to admit - their friendship made her more confident and outgoing so you couldn’t complain.
“And i’m starting to regret that decision! Anyway, speaking of decisions, what gave you the idea to wear a suit? You never expressed interest in dressing masculine before.” Robin shrugged “Do you not like it?” You immediately shook your head “no no! I love it, never said I didn’t. Just curious s’all”
Robin smiled, “then you don’t need to know, honey, It has the affect I wanted.” You grabbed onto the collar of the dress shirt.
“Then let's get out of here already, and I’ll show you how much it's affected me” Robins's face erupted into a bright red and she quickly nodded “o-okay!”

Promise (Steve Harrington x Reader)
Tumblr media
Description: Reader is helping Dustin and Eddie with the bats when things go south. Eddie makes the reader promise to admit her feelings for Steve if they make it out alive.
Warnings: SPOILERS SEASON 4, Character Death, Broken bones, Gore, Mentions of death.
‘’Promise me you’re not going to do something to get yourself killed?’’ Steve asks you. You were both sitting outside the RV, you were wrapping the wire around the spear you were going to use against the bats in the upside down.
You rolled your eyes at his assumption, ‘’I’m don’t plan on dying anytime soon Steve,’’ You set down the spear on your lap looking at him, ‘’You better not either.’’ You say threatening him. ‘’Then who is going to drive me around?’’ You say earning a hint of a smile from him. ‘’I’m thinking of making you drive me to Yosemite next.’’
‘’Yosemite huh?’’ He asks, sounding amused, ‘’I’ve always wanted to go on a roadtrip like that, take all my kids with me when I have them.’’ He tells you.
‘’Kids as in plural?’’ You ask him. ‘’You already have like six,’’ You say gesturing out in the field to Dustin and Eddie who were wrestling, Dustin was in a headlock making you laugh.
‘’And I want six of my own too,’’ He says and you widen your eyes at him making him laugh, ‘’I could change my mind but at least two, no three.’’ He sounded very sure of his answer.
‘’A big family sounds nice,’’ You tell him.
‘’You think so? Doesn’t scare you away when I say that?’’ He asks fiddling with his hands.
‘’No not at all, plus it makes sense you’re an only child. Figures you’d want a big family.’’ You tell him.
He looked at you like he was shocked, he let out a sigh before he spoke. ‘’I never really thought of that, but it makes sense.’’
‘’I always do Harrington,’’ You say, taking your hand pushing on his arm gently. You glance up noticing Nancy and Robin talking, she was sawing her gun down it seemed like her conversation with Jason made her a little on edge. ‘’So you and Nancy?’’ You ask Steve.
He looked a little uncomfortable when you asked, ‘’What about us?’’ He asks and you give him an annoyed look, he knew what you were asking. ‘’I don’t know what's going on I’m just as confused as you.’’ He explains. ‘’I think apart of it is because Jonathan is halfway across the country.’’
You look down at the ground unsure of what to say, ‘’What if it’s not that?’’ He looks over to you, ‘’Would you do that again?’’ You ask him, it was practically eating you alive to know.
‘’I feel like a lot of things got left unresolved with us,’’ Is all he answers, ‘’Would it be wrong if I did?’’ He ask you.
‘’I mean it’s your love life Steve,’’ You point out. ‘’Why do you care what I think anyway?’’
Steve looked at you, his face looked like he was confused, ‘’I always care what you think Y/N,’’ He tells you.
You stand up and Steve looked to you as you did, ‘’Who knows what happens when we go in upside down Steve, you almost died earlier.’’ You say scrunching your face up at the thought, seeing Steve on the floor, those bats gnawing at his skin would forever be etched in your brain. ‘’Now is not the time to hold in emotions, if you care about someone you tell them.’’ You see Steve visually take a deep breath, he patted his hands on his jeans standing up next to you. You watched his eyes on Nancy as he took a hand patting your back walking over to her, Robin slowly made her way over to you.
‘’You okay?’’ She asks.
You watched Nancy smile at something Steve said and you shake your head turning to Robin. ‘’Never better,’’ You say, offering her a fake smile.
If only you could take your own advice.
______________________
Steve was the first to go into the upside down, then Nancy followed of course. Then Robin and finally it was your turn, you grabbed onto the sheets pulling yourself up and finally felt yourself free falling, landing on your back knocking the wind out of you. Steve reached out a hand helping you up, as soon as you were on your feet you pulled your hand from his and he seemed distressed. ‘’You okay?’’ He says his hand is touching the side of your arm.
‘’We are currently upside down, how do you think I’m doing?’’ You say the sarcasm dripping from your voice.
‘’Right,’’ Steve says, a moment later a pile of weapons falls down landing on the mattress. You and Steve both turn looking down at it, you bend down grabbing as many as you could, taking yours and strapping it behind your back.
It was moments before you all split up, just as you walked out of the RV behind Dustin and Eddie that Steve stopped you. ‘’Hey listen, if things start to go south, I mean at all you abort.’’ His voice was serious, you glanced at Dustin knowing you had to do what you could to protect him, that if anything happened to him Steve would never forgive himself.
You hear snapping breaking you out of your thoughts, Steve looked at you, ‘’You hear me Y/N? No hero shit.’’ He emphasizes.
You walk closer to Steve staring him straight in the eye, ‘’Now do we look like heros to you?’’ You ask him to gesture to Dustin then Eddie.
‘’We are not heroes,’’ Eddie emphasized behind you, laughing.
You reach forward laying a hand on Steve's shoulder, ‘’Don’t worry Steve, you can be the hero.’’ You tell him. He gave a sort of half hearted grin but he still looked nervous as Hell.
His eyes lingered on your for a moment before he pulled away your hand dropping back to your side. Just as he turned around Eddie stepped out from behind you, ‘’Hey Steve?’’ He calls out. Steve turns around to look at him, ‘’Make him pay.’’
Steve nods, turning back around taking off with Nancy and Robin. ‘’We should go,’’ You tell both Eddie and Dustin. You all began walking off in the opposite direction, a few seconds had passed and you glanced back to look at Steve for more time, he had happened to be looking too. You shift your weapon on your back, turn around and walk backwards, you look at Steve and give him a salute from afar but it was too far for you to see his response back.
‘’Humor me Y/N,’’ Eddie tells you. ‘’How long have you been pining over Harrington?’’ He asks.
‘’What?’’ You ask him to turn around, noticing both Eddie and Dustin with an amused smile on their faces.
‘’At least since last year,’’ Dustin chimes in.
‘’Dustin!’’ You yell at him. ‘’You don’t know that!’’ You tell him.
‘’Do you not remember when you were on drugs last year?’’ He asks you to refer to the Russian Base underneath the mall. You had worked there with Steve and Robin last year and got wrapped into everything.
‘’Drugs?’’ Eddie says amused. ‘’You don’t take me for that kind of girl.’’ He smirks.
‘’I’m not!’’ You glare at Dustin, ‘’He left out key information, which was that I was unknowingly drugged by Russian Soldiers!’’ You say and Eddie's face looked bewildered.
‘’What?’’ Eddie says his voice seemed confused and amused at the same time.
‘’She totally confessed to being in love with Steve last year when she was on drugs,’’ He tells you.
‘’Why have you never told me this?’’ You ask him.
Dustin Shrugs his shoulders, ‘’Never came up,’’ He says simply.
You sigh and Eddie laughs, ‘’Is it really that obvious?’’ You ask tilting your head.
‘’Kind of I mean you practically lost it when he got pulled in the water,’’ He says. ‘’Why haven’t you said anything to him?’’
‘’Just never the right time, last year after the mall was just too much. And finally when things were calming down this happens.’’ You admit. ‘’And now Nancy is back and Steve has a soft spot when it comes to her, and I don’t know if I want to compete with Nancy.’’
‘’She was his first love,’’ Dustin chimes in.
‘’Thanks,’’ You pause. ‘’For that reminder Dustin,’’ He holds his hands up in defense.
‘’You should tell him,’’ Eddie says.
‘’If we make it out of here I just might,’’ You admit to him seeing the RV in the distance. ‘’Emphasis on the if,’’ You felt the nerves in your stomach getting worse by the minute and it was only going to get worse from here.
‘’Promise?’’ He says.
‘’What?’’
‘’Promise you’ll say something,’’ He says.
You look at him amused that he cared so much, ‘’Promise,’’ You say scrunching your eyebrows not questioning him as to why he cared.
When you got to the RV everything had seemed to speed up, you were waiting for the phase three signal from Robin. Dustin was supposed to tell you when Eddie was and Dustin were on top of the RV getting the Amp set up to broadcast the sound, you were down on the ground putting up more metal to help shield you when the bats came. Plus eventually you’d end up here anyway, that was the plan when the bats got closed you all were to use the RV as a way to shield yourself knowing they would come after you.
You hear Dustin from up above you, ‘’Copy, Initiating Phase three!’’ Dustin yells. Only a moment later you heard Eddie beginning to shred on the guitar, as the song went on you felt your heart practically pouding out of your chest. A flash of red lightning is what caught your attention seeing the silhouette of the bats getting closer.
‘’Dustin!’’ You yell, you could see him glance down at you from the top. You point with your finger at the bats showing him your plan was working, he looked through the binoculars and yelled to Eddie. You ran back to the inside of the cage surrounding the van your hand against the metal ready to close it when they finally came down. And the thirty seconds quickly turned into ten and Dustin and Eddie came barreling in as you slammed the cage shut just as the bats hit causing you to jump. ‘’Inside! Inside!’’ You scream at them following behind as they ran in the RV slamming the door shut.
You were all panting, your hands rested on your knees as you were bent over trying to catch your breath, ‘’Dude!’’ Dustin calls out gaining your attention, ‘’Most metal ever!’’ He says and Eddie and him begin jumping upside down, you look at them both laughing.
‘’That was pretty amazing Eddie,’’ You tell him.
‘’Best concert I’ll ever go to,’’ He laughs as you tell him. Dustin and Eddie look to one another and begin yelling, jumping up and down shaking the van even more than it already was from the bats outside.
It didn’t take long after that for you all to figure out you were surrounded, the screeching was getting louder meaning more and more were around you. They were banging up against the metal, all three of you stood back to back with your weapon in your hand as you all just waited for them to break through.
That was when it got quiet.
‘’Hey dipshits!’’ Dustin screams.
You took a deep breath as he yelled, ‘’Dustin!’’ You whispered.
‘’Give up that easy huh?’’ Dustin screams even lounder.
Both you and Eddie shush him, ‘’Is that really necessary?’’ Eddie asks.
The clattering from above you stopped any conversation. You looked up hearing the metal above you being scraped, ‘’Eddie they can’t get in right?’’ You ask him warily, all of you followed the sound above ending up under a vent. ‘’Eddie?’’ You ask him after no response
You screamed when the bats broke through the vent, the panic rising in your chest. You lifted your weapon moving in close with Dustin taking turns stabbing the bats trying to get in. “Die! Die, Die!” Dustin screams everytime he stabs them.
“Eddie!” You yell. “Eddie help!” You yell in a panic.
A second later you feel Eddie pushing you back slightly, “Get out of the way! Get out of the way!” He yells the shield he made earlier in his hand. He runs directly at the vent slamming it over top of him stopping the bats. Dustin falls back leaning against something a deep breath falls from his lips.
“Holy shit, Holy shit,” Eddie keeps repeating.
You felt yourself relax but it was only for a short moment, until Dustin spoke. “Are there other vents?”
The look on Eddie’s face told you there was, “shit, shit, shit!” He kept muttering. Everyone moves with him running to the back of the RV where Eddie’s bedroom was and as soon as he swung the door open the bats came flying toward you ready to attack. “Shit!” He screams along with you and Dustin pushing you both back behind the door slamming it shut. Immediately after he shut the door the wood began to break, you knew it wouldn’t hold long.
‘’Shit, shit, shit,’’ You mutter, also hearing similar words from both Dustin and Eddie. ‘’What do we do?’’ You yell over the bats pounding into the door, ‘’That’s not gonna hold long!’’ You yell at them.
‘’Let’s go! Let’s go!’’ Eddie screams.
You turn to Dusin who already had his hands on the sheets, you help him by holding his foot in your hand giving him something to push off as he climbs through the gate. ‘’Eddie, go!’’ You yell at him as Dustin goes through the gate.
You were the oldest making sure everyone got through before you was important, ‘’You first!’’ He tells you.
‘’Eddie, go!’’ You yell trying to plead with him.
‘’We don’t have time to argue go!’’ He yells at you holding his hand out for your foot. He was right there was no time to argue the door was breaking further by the second. You lift your leg putting your foot in his hand and he helps give you a push up at you grab onto the sheet pulling up as fast as you could. You landed on your back, Dustin held his hand out pulling you up so Eddie had a place to land.
You finally got to your feet looking down at the gate seeing Eddie starting to climb, he was about halfway up when he paused. ‘’Eddie! Come on!’’ You scream down at him, Dustin doing the same next to you. ‘’Come on!’’ You yell at him.
Eddie seemed to have some sort of realization on his face as he looked up at both you and Dusitn. ‘’Eddie climb!’’ You yell at him. You got down on your knees peering down at him as he glanced back at the door.
Eddie let go of the sheet a moment later and you and Dustin screamed, ‘’Eddie what the Hell?’’ You yell down at him. He picked up his spear and cut the sheet and it dropped into Dustin's hand.‘’Eddie! No! What are you doing?’’
He picked up the mattress and began flipping it out of the way, no doubt so you and Dustin couldn’t follow in pursuit. ‘’No! No! Eddie!’’ Dustin was screaming next to you.
‘’What are you doing Eddie?’’
‘’I’m buying more time,’’ Is all he says. Grabbing his shield and the spear, he ran off after that.
You watched Dustin next to you with his hands on his head in distress, ‘’Oh god,’’ He says to himself.
You looked around panicked and unsure of what to do, you couldn’t let Eddie go alone. Think, think, think. ‘’Dustin, I am going to get him and bring his ass back here.’’ You tell him. You grab the chair laying a few feet away, putting it just under the gate.
‘’Y/N let me go!’’ Dustin yells at you as you brace yourself for a run. You were a few feet down the hallway you knew a running start would help you.
‘’No,’’ You tell him sternly. ‘’You stay here, do not follow me Dustin, and when you can radio Steve.’’ You instruct him. You took a deep breath ignoring the rest of Dustin's pleads to get you to stay and him to go.
You took off running and as soon as your feet got to the chair you jumped, you went through the gate and landed on your arm. You screamed in pain when you landed, ‘’Y/N? Y/N? What happened?’’ You can hear Dustin yelling.
When you finally got over the immediate wave of pain you pushed yourself up with your opposite hand looking down you could see your hand was visible disformed at the wrist, you had broken it. ‘’I’m fine Dustin,’’ You call up to him though your voice says otherwise. ‘’Radio Steve when you can!’’ You tell him through your tears, the pain was terrible, but you had no time to wait around Eddie was in trouble.
After that you walked out of the RV, Eddie couldn’t be too far ahead from you. You looked around the area when you got outside noticing the bike was missing that had been there previously. ‘’Dammit,’’ You mutter to yourself. You heard a loud noise come from inside the RV one similar to when you had come down. When you peered in the door you saw Dustin laying on the ground his face grimaced in pain as he held his leg.
‘’Dustin!’’ You yell running toward him. ‘’I told you to stay!’’ He must’ve landed on it. ‘’Are you okay?’’ You ask him.
‘’I landed on it.’’ He tells you through the tears in his eyes.
‘’Can you walk?’’
He nods his head, you reach down grabbing his hand with your good arm helping him off the floor but he puts no pressure on his leg. ‘’Go ahead without me,’’ He tells you. You reach over grabbing what looked like a broom handing it to him so he could use it to help walk.
You didn’t wait another second; you practically ran out the door glancing around for the bats in the sky. The red lightning illuminated the bats and you saw they were swarming in a circle which couldn’t be good at all. You looked back Dustin was only a few feet behind you hobbling toward you, you quickened your pace running over toward the bats not giving yourself long enough to debate if it was a good or bad idea.
When you finally got there all of the bats had dropped from the sky as if some invisible force had killed them. You saw Eddie laying on the floor, all the bats surrounded him. You ran as fast as you could landing on your knees in front of him. The blood was coming from his mouth, you knew that was not a good sign.
‘’Eddie? Eddie?’’ You say taking your good hand touching his cheek, tapping it lightly, ‘’Hey come on you need to look at me,’’ You forced a smile at him with the tears forming in your eyes at his state. ‘’You’re okay, you’re okay.’’ You kept repeating.
A moment later Dustin dropped onto his hands carefully getting on the ground with you, he pulled Eddie’s head so it was resting on his leg, ‘’Oh god Eddie,’’ He said examining him, there was blood all over him.
‘’Dustin,’’ You say still trying to hold back your tears but he just kept his eyes on Eddie, ‘’Dustin I am gonna try and find something maybe we can stop the bleeding,’’ You tell him. He doesn’t seem to pay attention so you raise off the ground and start running back toward the RV once again, the sheet in there that could stop the bleeding right?
You ran as fast as you could to the RV still cradling your arm to your chest, you finally made your way back running inside. The sheet was already on the floor so you quickly picked it up running back out of the RV toward Eddie and Dustin, that was when the ground began to shake. You felt the ground shaking and immediately tripped but caught yourself. The loud noise behind you caught your attention and you watched as the gate that was once inside the RV had broken out and it just kept expanding straight ahead, luckily it was opposite of where Dustin was.
The ground shaking was making it hard to walk but you got back to Dustin as fast as you could, you noticed when he came into view that he stood above where Eddie had previously laid on his leg, Eddie laid on the ground shaking with the earth but he wasn’t moving. ‘’Dustin?’’ You yell out at him gaining his attention. When you got close enough you noticed the tears were streaming down his face, ‘’He didn’t-?’’ You couldn’t finish the sentence.
He shook his head before you could finish anyway, ‘’What do we do?’’ He asked and you could clearly hear how emotional he was.
‘’I don’t know-’’ You say glancing around, ‘’I don’t know!’’ You say. ‘’Did you radio Steve? We need to call Steve - Nancy, Nancy will know what to do.’’ You tell him feeling distressed.
‘’I did,’’ He tells you. ‘’No response, from him or anyone else.’’ He tells you.
And it seemed like someone, somewhere was looking out for you and Dustin because only a moment later you heard a voice sounding just a stressed as you felt coming through.
“Y/N! Dustin?” You hear coming from the radio, it was the sweetest sound you had ever heard.
____________
‘’Y/N!’’ You hear your mom call from downstairs, ‘’Phone!’’
‘’Busy,’’ You yell, staring up at the ceiling, not busy at all in fact.
You hear footsteps coming up the stairs and you pull yourself up from the bed resting on your elbows anticipating her opening the door. She swings the door open a moment later, ‘’It’s Steve,’’ She pauses, ‘’Again.’’ You sigh. ‘’He really wants to talk to you honey, he’s probably just worried.’’
‘’Are you going to work?’’ You ask, noticing her scrub uniform.
‘’Yep, lots of shortages. Lots of people packed up and left, I don’t blame them if we had the money we would too.’’ She tells you. ‘’Do you need anything before I leave? Need any more medicine for your arm?’’ She asks and you glance down at the cast.
‘’I’m good,’’ You tell her. ‘’Love you,’’ You tell her before she leaves. Your mom worked as a nurse at the hospital when you finally got out of the upside down you went straight to her and she was pretty much able to help you get in to get your arm that same night although your injuries were nothing compared to some peoples.
A few hours later you were down in the kitchen making a frozen pizza, a little bit after the pizza went in the doorbell rang. You began walking toward the front door when the person decided to knock persistently, ‘’I’m coming!’’ You yell, shaking your head slightly annoyed.
When you pulled the door open Steve Harrington stood in front of you hands in his pockets. You looked at him in shock for a moment which gave him the perfect opportunity to slip in the house, ‘’Can I come in?’’ He asks, already walking through the door.
‘’Sure come on in,’’ You say sarcastically, shutting the door behind you. ‘’What are you doing here?’’ You ask him.
He puts one hand on his hip resting it there, ‘’Well you don’t return calls and it’s been three days.’’ He tells you. ‘’Why are you ignoring me?’’ He asks.
You sigh, ‘’I just needed some time to myself…a lot,’’ You say your eyes are focusing on a single spot on the floor, ‘’A lot happened.’’ You tell him.
‘’I know it did,’’ He says, stepping forward. ‘’Are you okay?’’ He asks.
You shrug your shoulders, ‘’I mean yeah,’’ You tell him but you can tell in your voice that you were about to break.
‘’Hey,’’ Steve says gently, pulling you into a hug, your hands wrapped around his torso as he rests his head on top of yours. ‘’You’re okay now,’’ He tells you.
‘’We just left him Steve,’’ You sob.
You could feel him pull you in closer if that was possible, ‘’We had to get out, and there was no way we could carry him out.’’ He says rubbing comforting circles on your back with his hand.
‘’His uncle-He-He is putting up missing flyers for him.’’ You try to get out your crying not letting you get out a sentence without having to take a deep breath. ‘’My mom she told me they’re all over the hospital.’’
Steve pulls back from you, ‘’Come on,’’ He says walking you to the couch sitting down with you, he still had his arm around you and you curled your body up so it rested on him. ‘’We did what we could, what we had to do.’’ He tries to tell you. ‘’And that doesn’t make what happened any easier but we have to think about what could've happened had we not gotten out when we did. Someone else could’ve been hurt, then what would we have done?’’ He asks you.
‘’It just feels wrong,’’ You tell him. You push yourself up looking at him, ‘’How is Dustin?’’ You ask, realizing you hadn’t talked to him since you got home.
‘’He’s rough,’’ He admits. ‘’But managing.’’
You didn’t say anything after that, you just both sat in silence. An hour or so later your head was in his lap and he was tracing circles on your shoulder as you stared up at the ceiling. ‘’Thanks for coming over,’’ You tell him.
He looks down at you, ‘’This is the only way I could talk to you,’’ He says and you smile sheepishly at him.
‘’Steve?’’ You ask. He hums in response, ‘’I don’t know what happened with you and Nancy and I made a promise I would do this, and I really want to keep it.’’ You start to ramble and Steve looks at you intently. ‘’And I'm just gonna come out and say it instead of beating around the bush-’’ You continue.
‘’Y/N,’’ Steve interrupted you, ‘’Just say it.’’
‘’I’m in love with you, and not in the way best friends love each other.’’ You say watching his eyes widen a bit looking at you as if he was shocked. ‘’And I have been for a while..’’ You pause, not really sure how he was feeling.
‘’You are?’’ He asks. ‘’Since when?’’ He asks.
‘’Since last year,’’ You tell him, ‘’When you got the job at scoops and I was training you I had a crush and we’ve hung out a lot more since and yeah,’’ You explain to him. ‘’And I just-,’’ You pause feeling emotional from the confession. ‘’I just had to tell you, I promised Eddie I would.’’
He glanced up when you mentioned Eddie his facial expressions looked shocked like he didn’t know what to say. “I just had to tell you and if you don’t feel the same-“ You began to say but your were cut short when you felt his hand come up to your cheek he was staring at you not saying a word.
“Steve?” You say breathless from his touch.
He doesn’t say anything instead he leans in his lips touching yours. He was slow with it and delicate, his hand gently resting on your cheek. “I never wanted to ruin anything,” He says when he pulls away. “Last year I realized I felt the same, and then now when we were upside down all I could think was is Y/N safe? That's when I knew.”
He paused for a moment, “And then I heard Dustin on the radio and he was begging us to come and I felt like I couldn’t breathe because he was so vague I thought something happened to you,” He tells you.
You reach your hand up putting it over the one that was on your cheek, “And then I saw you and your hand,” He glances down to the cast.
“I was fine,” You say, offering him a smile, “I was just waiting for you,” You admit. “You always keep me waiting, Harrington,” He smiles.
He leans in kissing you again, “No more waiting around, I’m right here.” He tells you.

Eddie Month Day 9
prompt: cowboy & cavalier | rated: T? language and substances a/n: based on the Buffy episode where everyone becomes their Halloween costume
Steve was in hell. There was no other possible explanation. This might’ve been worse than the upside down. That at least he could do something about.
Something had happened, not something inter-dimensional but something weird or magicky. Hell, he’d think this was all a big practical joke, if it wasn’t for all these seemingly real soldier memories and facts that he couldn’t shake that kept popping into his head.
They’d all gotten Halloween costumes from this new store that popped up downtown. Ethan’s Costume Shop was quaint and this older gentleman had helped pick perfect costumes for all of them.
Eddie wanted these leather chaps so became a cowboy. Robin was a witch who kept trying to do spells and setting small fires. Nancy was a princess who was scared of everything and kept screaming bloody murder at the kids.
The kids were the worst part. Max, Lucas and El were zombies who kept biting everyone, thankfully not hard enough to actually eat them. Dustin, probably the only one who would actually know what to do in this situation, was an ogre who just grunted and whacked people with his club. Mike was a werewolf and kept trying to escape to howl at the moon. Will had dressed as a ghost and had turned invisible. Thankfully Steve had made everyone take glow sticks trick or treating so they could follow his green glowing necklace.
Somehow Steve had convinced cowboy!Eddie to help corral all of them to his house when the streets became mass chaos as everyone transformed to their costumes. Jonathan and Argyle had decided dressing up was too pedestrian and they’d been extra hands, but as high as they were, Steve wasn’t sure if they even knew what was happening.
He leaned against the kitchen island and hung his head in his hands. All he wanted to do was to take the kids trick or treating then come home and have a relaxing evening. The kids were all supposed to be going to the Wheelers for a sleepover.
“Why the long face, darlin’?” Eddie asked with a terrible southern accent. And this. If he called him darlin’ or puddin’ or fucking baby cakes one more time he was going to go find his nail bat.
“Eddie, for the last time, stop with the names. And I think it’s perfectly reasonable, actually, for me to be upset right now. Look around!”
Steve felt bad instantly when Eddie looked down and started to walk away.
“I’m sorry, Eds. I don’t even know if you’re actually even Eddie in there. But for the record, this is not a nice normal night for me. How many times have you corralled ghosts and zombies, man?”
Eddie nodded and looked around. The kids had resorted to chasing each other around the house, which was honestly an improvement to them trying to get out of any available door or window. They’d put Nancy upstairs in a bedroom away from anything scary. Steve had taken Robin’s wand away and hidden it and she was searching the place for it.
“I guess you’re right, there.” Steve winced at the accent.
They just stared at each other for a moment. Steve sighed. “You want a beer?”
Eddie shrugged and nodded. They ended up sitting on the island, so they could keep an eye out for the kids. Somehow it became a drinking game. Drink every time one of the zombies bites someone. Drink for every grunt. Drink for every time Argyle giggles at nothing funny. Soon they were giggling at nothing themselves, leaning into each other and almost falling off the island.
It was someone’s idea to relocate to the couch. They threw a movie on and weirdly all the creatures flocked to the light or the sound or it was just background neurons firing that they go watch the tv when it’s on. They all piled in a little nest of blankets like puppies and nodded off.
Close to midnight, something snapped in his brain, like a rubber band. He looked at Eddie.
“What the fuck?”
“Oh you’re back?” He yawned.
“Back? Where did I go?”
“Do you remember being a cowboy and the kids were zombies?”
Eddie’s eyebrows went up under his bangs. “Jeez, that wasn’t from my stash, right? That must be Argyle’s-“
“No, man. I don’t know what happened but everyone became their costume. You’ve been talking in a terrible southern accent all night and calling me- never mind. Will was invisible!”
Eddie smirked. “Callin’ you what?” The accent was even worse now, combined with the slurring.
“That’s the part you’re worried about?”
“That’s the part you’re gunna tell me first.” He leaned in close. “Was it sweetheart? Was it pretty boy?”
Steve shivered. “Uhhh, nope.” Eddie sat back and put his finger to his chin, thinking. It made Steve huff a laugh at him. “Think more southern, more cowboy, Eds.”
He nodded, leaning back in. “Buttercup? Sweet pea?”
Steve laughed and shook his head.
“I dunno, darlin’, I guess we’ll never know.” Eddie pulled him close and their lips met.

ouu please do steve with a shorter bf :) just fluffy headcanons and steve teases him a lot bc of his height and all that

Before You Interact
𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙨: He/Him [female aligned DNI with this post]
𝙎𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚: Fluff
𝘼/𝙉: This is so cute, your wish is my command. :) pre-established relationship ofc
𝙏𝙒: You’re short/talking about height differences (shoutout to my dysphoric friends), that’s about it.
Tumblr media
Steve is an absolute SUCKER for the height difference
Like this man cannot get enough of it
If you’re standing somewhere, he’ll come up behind you and rest his chin on your head/shoulder
Expect forehead kisses and for him to ruffle your hair (if you let him)
Also loves if you sit in his lap bc you’re the perfect height to where he can still see over your shoulder without too much adjusting
That being said, it’s very much been used to his advantage to tease you
He’ll shift into Mom Mode™️ and put things on top of the fridge, cabinets, etc. if he doesn’t want you to get it
“You need to eat actual food first, then you can have the brownies.”
He gives you that look
“Harrington, I swear to god—”
The tray is suddenly on top of the fridge
This also goes along with presents
He’s shit at hiding them so they always get shoved into places he knows you can’t easily reach
Will hold things above and away from you so you can’t get them
You don’t play fair, and have yanked him by the shirt (or chest hair) on more than one occasion
He prefers to lean down to kiss you, rather than for you to try and reach up
It happened once and you started to fall and bashed his nose in
Robin had to comment, saying it looked like he lost another fight
Once called you Marvin the Martian when he was in a mood
You nearly beat his ass for that one
“Yeah, alright, calm down Papa Smurf.”
This man loves to dance, but specifically singing and slow dancing with you
The height difference is perfect because his arms can just rest on your shoulders
Something about the way you look up at him through half-lidded eyes when you’re tired
He can and WILL melt right there
If he stands behind you, you’ll usually reach up to stroke the side of his face while you keep doing whatever
Actually underrated sign of affection 10/10 his favorite
You have a habit of just jumping on his back at the most random times
It literally scares people; he’ll be in the middle of the conversation and you practically tackle him from behind
But he’s used to it, so he’ll just help you get comfy
STEVE HARRINGTON WOULD RATHER LIFT YOU UP LIKE A CHEERLEADER THAN KILL THE SPIDER HIMSELF AND I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL
Man will march right into the Upside Down, but the tiny jumping spider in the corner of his room? Oh FUCK no
You don’t kill them, just relocate them
Yannow, after chasing him around with it first
If you’re spooning and he wants to be the little spoon: he will purposely scrunch up so you can wrap around him
If you’re spooning and he’s the big spoon: will absolutely fucking cage you in bc of the height difference
His favorite part about your height is definitely when you’re standing and lean into him
Your head is at the perfect spot where he can just breathe in the smell of your shampoo
Absolutely adores if he finds you sitting on the table/counter/desk
Perfect smoochin level
Even with all of the teasing, he can’t get enough of you

It feels a little odd being back in what used to be “home” after all these years.
Unsurprisingly, things don’t look all that different despite it having been just shy of a decade since you were here last. It feels foreign but familiar. Steve jokes that Hawkins is the gutter of the Midwest. That it’s a grate that traps the town folk in life’s plentiful misfortunes.
As a twelve year old you didn’t know how dumpy Hawkins was, but it's apparent now. As you drive past Forest Hills Trailer Park your stomach twists into knots. Seeing your old stomping grounds brings an unpleasant feeling of sentimentality.
Over the years you’ve become good friends with Harrington and Buckley, mostly through writing letters and postcards. On one of the road trips Steve took to visit you, he brought Robin along and you’ve been close ever since. Not to mention you’ve spent plenty of late nights giggling with Robin over the phone. They felt like long-distance sleepovers.
Steve stands behind the kitchen island, chopping vegetables and preparing dinner for the three of you. “Hey, bub. Mind running to rent some movies for tonight? You can take Ruby.” He hesitates, holding the car keys away when you reach for them. “Be careful, please? If she comes back with so much as a scratch, your ass is grass. And by that I mean you’ll be sleeping in the front yard.”
“Yeah, yeah.” You roll your eyes and snatch the keys from his clutch. “Your precious car will return untouched. Cross my heart.” You mark an X over your chest for dramatic effect.
Robin shouts from the living room as you head out the front door. “Can you get The Breakfast Club? Oh! And some Twizzlers? Thanks, doll!”
The Family Video store opened some years after you’d left. Despite Steve’s incredibly vague directions, you luckily find your way.
The lights in the window of the tobacco shop pulse brightly, blinding you a bit as you park against the curb in the mostly empty lot. You hop out of the car and stroll inside Family Video to grab the requested items, putting them on Steve’s tab.
When you’re about to open the car door to leave, you freeze in place. Your eyes catch a silhouette that’s outlined by the striking lights. The figure shuffles and stamps out a cigarette on the bricks of the building.
Their stance is as stiff as a board, a posture you’d recognize anywhere.
“Munson?”
Eddie whips around to see who called his name, his jaw falling open in disbelief. He hardly recognizes you considering that you’re a young adult now. “No way. Wha-are you shitting me?”
You practically run into his arms and he embraces you, your feet lifting off of the ground. “I’ll be damned!” He beams while letting you down but keeping you at arm's length. “Jesus-look at you! You’re so-” Developed, he thought.
You're smiling so wide that your cheeks ache. “Me? Oh my god, no. Look at you! Look at all this hair!” You chuckle, twirling one of his frizzy curls around your finger.
He typically doesn't let people touch his hair but he doesn’t mind at the moment. “What, expected the buzzed watermelon look?”
“Your head was always melon-sized, you’re right about that.” You chuckle. “It’s surprisingly soft.” You spoke too soon. He hisses at your finger catching a knot, so you gently brush through it with your fingers.
Eddie’s eyes study you, his heart thumping painfully. He’s overwhelmed by your presence and his palms start to sweat. The conversation progressed quickly, the two of you fondly recalling the old days. You hold onto his bicep while you laugh about pranking your neighbors with firecrackers and hanging out at the bakery you frequented together. You remember how he’d always get jelly on his face from the doughnuts.
Considering you lived a few trailers down, becoming friends was a no-brainer. He was never much of a daredevil but he loved getting a rush with you in the sleepy town, you felt no different. Shenanigans ensued and you even built a fort in the woods beside the trailer park. There was never a dull moment by your side, be it good or bad.
Most middle schoolers are self-conscious and constantly searching for validation, but not you. You never cared what other people thought of you. You were always true to yourself and unapologetically authentic. More importantly, you never judged Eddie. Your acceptance meant the world to him. From the start, you made it clear that he didn’t have to be anyone but himself around you.
He’s carried that outlook through the entirety of his school career. Always brushing off his peers’ jabs and remarks. He stood his ground and kept his friends close. Eventually, he instilled that very lesson in the freshman he took under his wings. He passed your wisdom onto them, that trying to be someone you’re not isn’t worth it in the long run.
You tilt your head at him. “I’m surprised to see you! I thought you’d have gotten out of here ASAP after graduating.”
Eddie is ashamed and doesn’t want to admit to graduating only four months ago. He shrugs, “Uh-yeah. Gotta stick around for Wayne, y’know?” It’s the best lie he could think of on the spot.
His wristwatch beeps, signaling the new hour. You take his wrist into your hand and look at the time. “Oh, shit. I should get going.” You sigh, wanting to be back in a timely manner so as not to worry Steve and Robin.
After swinging the car door open and plopping into the driver’s seat, you yell out of the rolled-down window. “See you around!”
Eddie hollers. “Wait!” Before he could say anything else you’ve pulled away and driven out of the parking lot. His mind races with your last sentence hanging in the air. See you around.
Once you get back to Steve’s the three of you enjoy dinner while watching the movie. Initially, Steve scoffed at having to watch it again but he wasn’t going to get Robin revved up about its impactful societal commentary.
You’re giddy and cheerful the remainder of the evening until the movie got to the part where Andrew Clark says to John Bender, “If you disappeared forever it wouldn’t make any difference. You may as well not even exist…”
That’s when it dawns on you. It was on purpose.
Tumblr media
It’s been four days since running into Eddie. Because you’re staying with Steve, you’re obligated to be at his Halloween party, given it’s being held at his house. You put on your best “I’m social and parties are delightful” attitude because you know Steve is looking forward to introducing you to the rest of his friends.
The afternoon was spent putting the finishing touches on the decorations. Steve is visibly eager to have his gaggle of pals together for a night of spooky festivities.
Robin arrives with Tupperware stacked in her arms, full of creepy goodies she made herself. Cookies that resemble witch fingers, candy corn-colored Rice Krispie treats, and caramel popcorn balls.
Music blares from the stereo in the living room. You’re seated on the couch talking with Steve who’s leaning against the fireplace mantel that’s strung with faux cobwebs. Eddie strides through the front door with a case of beer balancing on his shoulder.
Eddie isn’t used to attending parties for fun. Usually, he goes to make money off of teens who are too plastered to bargain a reasonable price for weak bud. He pretends to hate costumes but the geek in him secretly loves dressing up.
“You both came as zombies?” Steve groans. “How creative.”
Dustin wraps his arms around Eddie’s torso, hugging him so tightly that Eddie groans in discomfort.
You turn to see who Steve is addressing and Eddie looks at you with an indiscernible look in his eyes. He can’t believe it. Not only are you here, but you’re both dressed as Eddie the Head from The Number of The Beast album. It’s a fairly simple costume, a white t-shirt with jeans and a little makeup, but it makes his chest throb in adoration for your shared interest in music.
You don’t look at him for long. Instead, you flash him a polite grin and turn back to Steve, continuing the conversation. Eddie was expecting you to run into his arms like before but you remained seated. A shockwave of dread jolts through his extremities. He knows you’ve got a bone to pick with him for what he did.
Later during the party, you find yourself in the kitchen chatting with Steve, Robin, and Nancy while the youngsters are hanging out in the living room. The heated debate about whether trail mix should contain peanuts or not lacks your participation. You’re more so listening than contributing. You lean against the counter, quietly snapping your fingers at your side. You’ve been doing well so far but you’re starting to feel anxious because your social battery is running low.
Eddie walks into the room and recognizes your nervous habit immediately. He recalls how you get overstimulated by loud music and commotion. The freshman running through the kitchen, shouting and laughing puts you further on edge.
Eddie can tell you must’ve never found someone who loved you enough to teach you how to cope like he’d hoped would happen. It makes his heart heavy knowing you’re still dealing with anxiety after all these years. It makes him wonder how often you must’ve needed him and he wasn’t there for you. He thought removing himself from your life was in your best interest. He assumed you’d be off doing bigger and better things without him in the way. Somehow he failed to realize how much he hurt you.
You were always there for him. Especially the afternoon that the two of you were reading Lord of the Rings in your fort in the woods. Shouting rumbled off in the distance. Both of you got to your feet and walked a few steps to the tree line to see what the racket was.
Earl Munson, Eddie’s father, had shown up unannounced and belligerently drunk.
“Fuckin’... fuckin’ good for nothing son of a bitch!” Earl roared.
Wayne could be heard yelling back at him. “Cops will be here any minute, you better… don’t you swing on me! Motherfu- drunk bastard!”
You clung to Eddie and he held onto you twice as tightly. Watching his deadbeat father behave erratically wasn’t something that was easy to look away from. Chief Hopper and another deputy showed up quickly due to there being a warrant out for Earl. He intensely resisted arrest, making one hell of a scene. Eddie cried that day, and you’re still the only one who knows about it.
“Here, c’mon. Let’s go outside.” Eddie whispers, gently taking your hand and guiding you outside to the back porch. He knows you need fresh air. Generally, he’s ecstatic to finally get you alone after watching you all night but he’s unnerved about the inevitable conversation about to unfold.
“So-uh.” He rubs his hands nervously, conveniently generating heat to fight the evening autumn breeze.
"Now you wanna talk? So fitting." The feelings of abandonment threaten your composure. “I tried calling, y’know. Quite a few times, actually.” You cross your arms in anticipation of whatever excuses he’s going to give.
Eddie avoids eye contact and shifts his weight between the balls of his feet. Struggling to find the right words to explain. “Sometimes… I think it’s just easier for people if I’m not around. I figured I’d do you a favor.”
A favor. Your breathing quakes as the words reverberate in your mind, the remaining anxiety pushing you over the edge into bitterness. He wasn’t busy and his phone number hadn’t changed. He meant to do it.
At the time, it was obvious to him that you were a force to be reckoned with. You’d been lucky enough to get out of Hawkins and he didn’t want to hold you back. He knew you’d conquer the world while chasing your dreams.
“You intentionally ignored me. That’s what you’re saying?” Tears roll down your cheeks but you keep your expression as neutral as possible. “That’s it, huh? You decided you were done with me?”
“No!” His eyes meet yours with bold intensity. “I said I would never let you go. I pinky promised, matter of fact. I never let go. There wasn’t a single fucking day that went by that I didn’t think about you.”
“Oh? And not a single day did you call me, or write me!” You huff. “Eight years, Ed! Eight whole fucking years.” Your face is glowing red with frustration. “You made me question myself and my worth. You made me feel like I did something wrong.”
The ache in your chest comes back stronger than ever, thinking about all of the nights you spent curled up in your bed with tears pooling under your eyes. You felt so alone without your best friend by your side. Eddie assumed you were adjusting to your new life, but you were suffering. As time went on, you managed. Except, the only thing ignoring you did was teach you how to live without him.
Eddie’s own tears begin to fall, guilt burying him beneath the earth’s surface. He feels like he’s suffocating, soil clouding his lungs as he watches your expression break while reliving the betrayal. “I-I love you.” It’s all he can muster, his tone sounds remorseful despite not actively apologizing.
“Don’t! Don’t you dare.” You snap at him while wiping your cheeks roughly. Putting your walls back up and braving forward. “If you loved me you wouldn’t have vanished. You don’t… you don’t abandon someone that you love.”
Eddie does love you. But at this point, it doesn’t matter. The damage has been done.
“Just let me explain, please.” He sobs and reaches for your hands. Even though he used his pain as an excuse to justify hurting you, he is sincerely penitent.
You let him take one of your hands into his large palms. His grip is trembling. He’s coming apart at the seams.
“No need.” You fixate your gaze on his fingers mindlessly stroking yours. “If anything I should thank you.”
Eddie’s eyebrows knit together in confusion, his eyes closely watching your mouth as if he could see the words falling from your lips.
With a deep breath, you meet his gaze and continue. “I learned the difference between being patient and wasting my time. Day after day I sat by the phone and waited. That was a waste of time. You taught me that.”
Eddie sniffles loudly, letting your words sink into his skin with the sting of the pain they harbor. “I won’t fuck up this time, okay? Give me another chance, please.”
You ignore his plea. You can’t trust that he won’t do the same thing again. “Ed, I won’t forget what we had, you made that time in my life so special.” You begin to withdraw your hand.
He stops your fingers from slipping through his. “Please- just. Don’t regret me.”
You flash him an unconvincing grin and avert your eyes before turning and disappearing back into the house. He doesn't see you for the rest of the night. The look you gave him was your goodbye, and it was the final one.
After driving home once the party is over, he sits in his van and cries harder than he has in years.
Eddie was wrong about you not needing him back then, but you sure as hell don’t need him now.

"will you do it for me? please?"
Robin Buckley x Hopper!Female!Reader
Warnings: angst, reciprocated and unreciprocated feelings, differing relationship with food, jealousy fluff, mentions of death and grief
0.8k
Tumblr media
Sometimes it was simply easier to daringly gaze off into the distance and pretend that you had a normal life in a normal town, where monsters didn’t exist in this world or another and people that you loved were still alive. You could hear their whispers in regards of your late father, and it was as if his sad departure repelled people away from you, or perhaps you were just pushing them away.
It didn’t matter what any of them thought, he had died a hero doing far more than his duties being the sheriff, he had closed off the gate into the Upside Down before Joyce’s very pained eyes, no body remaining after his deterred sacrifice. El had become like a little sister to you after your dad took her in but now she was gone too, she had travelled away from Hawkins with Will and Jonathan and their mother whilst you remained. Alone.
The food on your lunch tray didn’t appear at all appealing and thus you gritted your teeth and softly pushed the meal away, the last thing you wanted to do was add contents to your stomach when you already felt sick to it. “You have to eat otherwise who is going to listen to me recite every little bit of progress I make with Vicky when I come out of practice?” Robin gently nudged the plastic platter back in your direction, sufficing a groan from your throat.
“I don’t know, Steve?” She sent you an encouraging smile as you tried to stop your mouth from salivating from the sight of the pre-made grub, understanding that it would take time for you to find enjoyment in the mundane habits of living without your parental figure present.
“Well y/n/n, you’re a better listener than my fellow patriot on the payroll, plus you sure are prettier to look at when I’m talking.” She joked however despite that you could still feel your heart race in your chest, an affect that only Robin Buckley and being by a demogorgan could cause.
Vicky was truly one lucky girl, she had the undivided attention of the funniest, sweetest young woman, and she probably didn’t even notice it. If it were you then you wouldn’t spare a moment to reciprocate her tender feelings, to hold her hand when it was just you two and be the main audience for her comedic jokes. “But I’m not the prettiest. I can’t even play an instrument and I am definitely not someone that you would want to talk about like you do with her.”
It was rather a relief that you were being avoided by everyone as though you had the plague because that meant that nobody heard you… except for Robin. Her mouth was strung in an agape expression, consuming the tension that coursed through you veins as she stared at you with concerningly wide eyes, there was nothing more that you could say to make this worse and so you awaited for the blonde to speak in return.
“What? Are you saying that you like me, because I like you too I just thought that you were straigh- the whole Vicky thing was just a distraction because I always have to be focused on something, but also an investment because I want someone to care about me and want to spend every waking moment with me. Like I get if I’m not understanding this right but-“
“But you are.” You confirmed for her, muting her adorable rant as you felt the estranged feeling of a smile pulling at the apples of your face. “You really don’t want to be with Vicky?” You asked, finding relief when your friend shook her head from side to dishevelled side, the action allowing you to sigh from the weight that left from upon your scarred and opened hearted chest.
“I just want you, and I know that things have been difficult for you lately but I just want to help make them easier. But to do that you’re gonna need a lot of energy because I have far too much to say, so will you eat just a little?” Conflict settled upon your face, you wanted to yet at the same time did not, Robin picked up on this wanting to give you a small push in the right direction. “Will you do it for me? Please? I need my best listener conscious, not to mention I cannot endure another shift without having to rant about it afterwards.”
The plastic fork felt foreign within your grasp, however you still pierced it into the mash of a meal like a needle, before extracting a lump that would no doubt make your stomach beg for more food after digestion. This wasn’t just for you though, the people that you cared for were obsoletely worried, and if your father were looking down on you now then he would have wanted you to be happy and healthy, not missing meals because you missed him.

dating steve harrington would include…
author’s note: the brain rot for eddie is strong, but the brain rot for this grade a dumbass is even stronger. is this piece a little self-indulgent, best friends to lovers kinda deal? …maybe it is. but i have absolutely no shame in my game. anyway, this is all i have to offer for right now. but this, along with the eddie headcanon list are precursors to the fics i’ll eventually publish on this beloved little hellsite. likes and reblogs are appreciated, but please do not repost my work!! —morgan🖤
Tumblr media
you’d known Steve since kindergarten, and he’d become your best friend on the first day of school
the two of you did everything together, from classroom coloring activities to playground dares with each other and the other kids
by the time high school came around, you were still practically inseparable, even though now you were essential to Steve passing literature class and writing decent essays
did you both have crushes on each other once you got older? of course you did. everyone knew it but the two of you oblivious fools
he never really got the guts to ask you out until after he and Nancy had broken up, and it took a good little shove from Nancy herself to get him to do it
but jesus christ was he happy when he finally did and you didn’t turn him down (because let’s be real here, Steve was expecting the worst and a huge ego bruise)
it didn’t take long for you to find out about the upside down, and of course once Steve got fully dragged into it, so did you because you’d do anything to protect that group of kids you’d grown to love
you and Steve are The Babysitters™️
so of course dating Steve “the hair” Harrington comes with its perks
one of those perks being free ice cream when he worked at scoops, and him always giving you an extra scoop…or two. Robin isn’t amused in the slightest, but she isn’t surprised either
you get to see him in that ridiculous little uniform every day, but you’d be lying if you said it wasn’t cute. you totally agreed that the hat was blowing his best feature though
you’d always go visit him on his breaks, sometimes bringing him lunch and you’d sit and eat together
one time when you came in, he instinctively greeted you with “ahoy!” and you couldn’t stop laughing about it
so many car rides together, whether it’s the middle of the day or late night when you both just can’t sleep and need a little escape
Steve not being able to keep himself from leaning over and kissing you during said car rides
he doesn’t mean to do it, but he mother hens you sometimes too, always worrying over you and always being the first to check up on you when you’re hurt or sick
you’ve seen Steve’s entire change first hand from “King Steve” to the best, most caring version of himself possible
and you couldn’t be more proud of him for it
but the truth is, Steve is so worried that he’s not a good boyfriend, when in reality, he’s actually the best and then some
his love language is physical touch. no questions asked. he’s always holding your hand, hugging you from behind and resting his head on top of yours, or has his arm around you if he hasn’t already pulled you into a full-frontal hug
pda does not bother this man at all. if he wants to hug you in front of everyone, for any reason, he will. if he wants to kiss you like he’ll never be able to kiss you again, there’s absolutely no stopping him
so many cute nicknames. so. many.
‘honey’ and ‘sweetheart’ are his favorites though
he doesn’t like it when you two argue or fight for any reason and he always feels so guilty about it until you’re cuddling him and running your fingers through his hair
speaking of, he’s always such a sucker for letting you play with his hair, because he won’t let anyone else touch it and he absolutely loves the feeling
if you’re cold, he makes sure to have a spare jacket of his, and if he doesn’t, he’ll immediately give you the one he’s wearing…even if it is ten degrees outside
always expect flowers or gifts. even if you don’t actually expect Steve to get them for you, he’s already done it and he’s gonna surprise you with it
which means he will randomly show up to your house or your workplace, a gift and/or a bouquet of flowers in hand and a goofy little smile on his face
but when him and Robin start working at family video, movie nights become a tradition on friday nights, even if he got off at midnight or later and you both fall asleep not even halfway through the movie
he tries to act like a tough guy but you know the truth…he’s a teddy bear
all of his shirts have pretty much become yours since the first time you tried on one of his sweatshirts and he absolutely loved it
“i love you so much”
“not possible because i’ll always love you the most”
which makes everyone in the room fake gag
Dustin constantly asking the two of you for advice on his relationship with Suzie
and he quickly finds out that was a bad idea because now you’re both talking his ears off and he can’t process all the information
jealousy j e a l o u s y. Steve swears he isn’t jealous, but the second someone oversteps a boundary or gets just the slightest bit too comfy with you, he’s already pressed a kiss to the side of your head and wrapped an arm around your waist and they have to deal with him
but he’ll never get physical about his jealousy, he’s too much of a gentleman for that
there isn’t anything Steve wouldn’t do to protect you though
at the end of the day, all that matters to Steve is making sure that you’re happy and he’s more than happy to do whatever he can to make that happen
anyway, as y’all can see…steve harrington has me in a chokehold😂

Vampire Eddie Oneshot
18+ MINORS BEGONE, completely SATIRE smut
Warnings: drug mention, swearing, bats, multiple orgasms, really stupid and obscure smutty sequences that make no sense
Enjoy!
Ever since the demobats, Eddie hasn’t been the same. he’s gone absolutely feral, wanting to be inside of your moist sticky pussy every second of the day. You hear the crunch of the gravel of your driveway and practically came on the spot, he was finally home after a long day of bullying children and selling crack cocaine to cheerleaders. The jingle of his keys send you into your first orgasm, the anticipation was enough to send you over the edge.At the Speed of light, he races on all fours toward your spot on the couch and proceeds to tear your clothes to shreds like an extremely horny wood chipper. “I’m going to ruin your easy bake oven pussy Y/N” he whispers moistly into your ear, sending you into another orgasm. As if possessed by a malfunctioning lawn sprinkler, you twitch and squirt all over the couch. Eddie begins suckling on your left earlobe, making your nipples twist with excitement. “Babe, stick it in my glazed krispy cream donut” you plead, fisting his hair as if you could control him ratatouille style to fuck you. Eddie roughly takes you by the toes and growled “I’m taking my time baby, don’t rush me” and proceeds to suck each one individually. Hes caring that way, making sure each toe gets the attention it deserved. He makes his way back up to your firm mammaries and took each in his hands, giving them a good shake. Still gorilla gripping your breasts, he moves to your throbbing abyss. Using your knockers as handles, he begins to eat you out like a watermelon, slurping and sucking so loudly it’s possible he broke he sound barrier. His tongue climbs up your pussy and into your uterus, causing you to orgasm again, this time squirting into his mouth. He proceeds to gargle your cum and swallow, “I could drink that shit every day like Starbucks” he says as he smacks his lips. As you go through the final few waves of your orgasm, he grabs your face and attacks your lips. He begins swirling your tongue like a washing machine set on heavy duty, practically scrubbing your taste buds clean. His tongue slithers down your throat to play with your uvula, making you gag in response. It continues to snake its way down your throat, strumming your vocal cords like his guitar, causing you to involuntarily moan. His unnaturally long tongue was one of the many blessings that was gifted to him from Vecna when he was transformed into a vampire. You run your hands up his stomach and over his chest, feeling the scars from the very incident that had led to his transformation. “You like those?” He asks, you nod in response. Suddenly, Eddie sat up and whispers “Bat mode activated”. You sit in confusion as His eyes turn red and he screeches as if hes attempting echolocation. Bats flood the room and begin circling you and eddie as he lines himself up with your deep sea cavern. He roughly pounds into you amidst the screeching bats. Suddenly, he began levitating, Rising up and taking you with him. You both turned upside down and begin raw doggin it on the ceiling, still being orbited by thousands of bats. You orgasm from the sheer shock of the situation. Who knew fucking on the ceiling could be so sexy. Eddie quickens the pace, eyes still red as he twisted your uterus into a pretzel with his cock, you can tell he was close. “I’m gonna cum in your wet little Pringle’s can” he says, voice unnaturally deep and husky. His red eyes roll back in his head as he shoots scolding hot streams of cum into your pussy. You both begin spinning as You orgasm again and you both shower your living room with cum like fire sprinklers. His eyes slowly return back to normal as you both sink back into the couch and the bats begin to flutter out of the windows and doors. You both lay with each other on the cum soaked couch enjoying the post nut clarity. Suddenly, Steve, robin, argyle, Nancy, hopper, joyce, Mrs wheeler, Mike, el, will, Dustin, Lucas, Erica, Suzy, Murray, Dr. Brenner, and Keith from family video walk in and collectively yell WHAT THE FUCK. Jonathan runs in last minute with his camera and says “I got it on camera!

After The Fight
Tumblr media
Summary: Robin and Nancy clean up...
SMUT AND ROBIN HAS A DICK!
The walk back had been treacherous, full of excitement and happiness that Vecna was dead, the Upside Down was defeated. Nancy was relieved while Robin was looking over at Steve, who was also happy. They had decided to turn stop off at Nancy’s house, much to Ted’s dismay and they all piled down the basement, snacks in arms. Robin was just looking around as excitement buzzed around the room. Everyone had been involved from the start, so she did feel the odd one out , as well as Eddie who went next to her.
“Crazy time?” he asked, smiling at her gently. Smiling back, she responded with a, ”Yeah. Pretty sure I burnt myself and the vines also got hold of us and choked us. You?” “Absolutely crazy. Played Metallica, realised we forgot to cover some holes, and then I went out to help Dustin and everyone in Hawkin’s and got tons of bat bites,”Eddie responded. Robin widened her eyes and was about to speak when Steve clapped his hands, gaining everyone’s attention. “Ok. We all shower now, in pairs just in case. Ok first up is… me and Eddie. Then Dustin and Lucas. Then Max and Erica. Then finally… Robin and Nancy,” Steve spoke. Everyone nodded as Max was nodding, exhausted as Lucas played with her hair, causing her to smile.
Eddie and Steve then went up whole Robin went over to the others and just laid down on the floor as she was taking off her jacket and her hat that she had left on. She also had her legs wide open, which Max took the opportunity and got up, flopping into the spot between her legs, her head rested against Robin’s foot while Max’s feet went up to her chest. “Hey M,” Robin spoke casually. Max had a small smile at the nickname then went stone-faced again. “Hey R,” she responded as she was going to sleep where she was. “Have sweet dreams, we’re all here,” Robin spoke gently. Nodding, Max drifted off as Robin kept in her spot.
It had soon been an hour and it was finally Robin and Nancy’s turn. Robin smiled slightly at Nancy as she was turned around in the bathroom, facing away from Nancy as she was going to strip. “You know… you can look,” Nancy spoke. “We’re both girls after all,” she had added on. “Exactly,” Robin spoke and bit her lip. “Please don’t hate me but… I like girls,” she then expanded. “Oh same here. So don’t worry, I mean we can both look at each other,” Nancy spoke. Robin gulped and nodded as she turned around, stripping off finally as she was not making eye contact with the female Wheeler. That was what momentarily made her forget about her appendage as she shrugged her trousers off. That’s when Nancy saw it and widened her eyes. Robin was confused as she looked down then realised, blushing. Worst thing was… she was growing hard.
“S-sorry, I forgot,” she then spoke and tried to turn around to cover it. “You can go in first then me if it helps,” she added on when she was grabbed by the wrist, stopping her turning. That’s when Robin looked in her eyes, black and full of hunger were stuck in her eyes. “No wonder you wouldn’t let me see the Pennhurst outfit until after you changed,” she growled out hungrily, causing the other girl’s dick to twitch. Robin even let out a small, desperate and needy whimper as she was soon feeling herself be lowered to her knees. Immediately, she went down the rest of the way, being faced to Nancy’s cunt, which was wet she noted. She was blushing as she was strained in her boxers she still had on.
“I want you to eat me out,” she heard Nancy command. Immediately nodding, she shuffled closer and was soon kissing her inner thigh, both of them as she trailed up. Her hair was suddenly grabbed as she was pushed up into Nancy’s pussy, as she started to lick at it finally, almost every lick going from her entrance to her clit, but sometimes she would miss one. She moved her face even closer and was practically suffocating herself in it, but didn’t care as she was sucking on her clit as she was delighted at the sounds her friend made. “Fuck, so good,” she was praised, feeling her hair rubbed. This caused Robin to let out a low groan, liking the praise and the hair rub as her hips bucked. “Since your so desperate too, why don’t you grind against my leg like the mutt you are,” Nancy growled out, Robin obeying immediately. She was grinding as she sucked, her moans vibrating, causing more pleasure. Soon she stuck her tongue in, and was nosing at the other girl’s clit, louder moans coming out that were soon muffled by a hand. Robin was still moaning, as she grinded harder, getting close. Once the girl came, she did too, not caring about the mess in her boxers, as she kept grinding and thrusting against her leg.
Soon, the shower started as Robin watched, still in her cum-filled boxers and her face wet from Nancy’s pussy. “So it doesn’t seem like we’re doing something~ now… lay down on the floor if you know what’s good for you~” Nancy spoke. Robin scrambled as she was laid on the ground, blushing. She was soon feeling Nancy start to slide down on her dick, causing Robin to moan. Nancy then bent down, bare tits touching, and kissed the other girl, muffling both their moans. “We have to be quiet,” she moaned out once she was fully down. “Now… I’m going to ride you like an animal and tonight we can do more in the bed~” Nancy spoke before she was bouncing on Robin, rubbing the other girl’s tits. Robin was moaning and muffled her own moans by covering her mouth, leaned into every touch that was trailed down on her. Nancy smirked at that as she was able to control her volume, starting to bounce faster as her eyes closed. Robin was arching her back, soon timing done thrusts which caused Nancy to moan louder, causing her to muffle them too.
After a bit, Robin and Nancy soon came together as they were panting, Nancy slowing to a stop soon and kissed her gently. “I love you,” she then spoke dazily. Widening her eyes, Robin responded with a, “Really? Same here. I love you too.” Nancy just smiled and soon got up, holding her hand out. “Come in. Let’s shower now babe,” she spoke, the lovers kissing.

Fugitive Houseguest - Part 2
Summary: OC falls for Eddie. Vecna tries to end the world while the party looks to stop him.
F! OC. 8293 Words.
Part 2 of 2. Part 1 can be found here.
Warnings: MAJOR ST spoilers ahead. Explicit sex scene in part 1 (Minors DNI.) There is also a hinted at sexual situation in part 2 in which OC is not in their right mind, which may make some uncomfortable. ST-esq violence. Slut-shaming (talking about that moment from volume 1, which was not okay.) Food eating mentions. Cursing.
Authors Note: This started as a simple bandaid to cope with Volume 4. Definitely got away from me lol. It’s a fix it fic y’all!! As such you’ll see pretty clearly where I took some…artistic license to make the OC more central to the story. I hate myself sometimes I swear but this fic practically wrote itself. 😂 Much as I love my reader inserts, I felt that the protagonist in this fic just had too many specific traits to NOT be an OC. Also, some hints of OC X Billy and maybe even OC X Steve if you squint. This is part 2 of 2, no further installments currently planned.
Also, I am always looking for inspo, so I will absolutely take requests for one-shots, blurbs, and head canons. If you don’t have an idea and just wanna chat, that’s cool too! I promise I won't bite.
Tumblr media
“Amilia?” Steve calls out in a panic, suddenly grabbing and shaking her shoulders in the Upside Down.
“Hey! Hey! Stay with me. Amilia! Hey! Amilia, wake up. Wake up! Amilia!” He starts to shout.
Above him in the real world the party hears him screaming, understanding washing over them as Max realizes aloud. “Vecna.”
And Vecna it is - he appears, distorted fingers wrapped around Amilia’s throat. But he’s being surprisingly gentle - and then the hand isn’t his anymore, it’s Eddie’s.
Eddie’s hand is wrapped loosely around her throat, and he’s kissing her like he might never stop.
“Wait,” she says against his lips. “Wait.”
He pulls back to look at her, lips swollen and face flushed. “What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?” He shifts his weight, trying to get up.
She locks onto him, not letting him go. “No…no…it’s nothing.” She promised him, kissing him again.
The brief moment of confusion - of dread - of feeling like something was very very wrong, had passed as quickly as it came on. Now she just knew she wanted him.
Back with her physical body, Steve’s words fall on deaf ears. “Just stay with me. Stay with me, okay?” He murmurs, panic starting to strike at his veins. “Whatever you guys are doing, hurry up!” Steve shouts up.
Erica bolts into Eddie’s bedroom. “Steve says you need to hurry!”
“Yeah, no shit!” Dustin screeches back, Max adding hysterically, “We’re trying we can’t find anything!”
“Seriously, what is all this shit?!?” Robin snapped as she threw one cassette after another.
“I mean what are you even looking for?” Eddie asked, hands full of their discarded labels.
“Madonna? Blondie? Bowie? Beatles? Music! We need music!” Robin yelled.
Eddie snatched the Iron Maiden cassette from her hands. “This. Is. Music!” He screamed.
“You guys this is not the time!” Nancy shouted, “Eddie, the only two surviving victims of Vecna could hear their favorite songs being played and snapped out of it.”
“Well why did no one fucking say that!” He blurted, shoving Dustin out of the way while snapping, “Stop touching shit.” Muttering loudly about Madonna, and Beatles while he scrambled to produce his Blizzard of Ozz tape.
With shaking hands Eddie shoved the tape in his cassette player in his room, keying up the right track.
“All aboard!” Wailed through the room almost immediately.
The gang displayed varying levels of exasperation. “What the fuck-” someone started to say at the same time that someone else whined, “Eddie-”
“Just trust me okay!” He snarls, cranking the music all the way up, to that decibel that made the neighbors mad.
Down in the portal, Steve is struggling to keep Amilia from lifting up into the air, whimpers of “No no no no no no,” falling from his lips when she slips from his grasp.
She stops kissing Eddie at the sound of a familiar song, lifting her head again. He lets out a small noise of annoyance this time. “What’s wrong now?” His words are ice cold. Wrong. Distorted.
Ozzy Osborne plays in the background. He can’t seem to hear it.
She starts to shove him off of herself, scrambling from beneath him. “Get off! Off!”
Eddie complies, scowling, and Amilia shoved past him and through the bedroom door, bursting through it only to land in a red hued wasteland, thunder crackling in the distance.
She turns and the door is gone, Eddie is gone. It’s just Vecna, slinking toward her.
She can hear it all now past the music, the hush that’s fallen over the group, Steve cursing, begging, and Eddie. She hones in on him, buried beneath the soundtrack.
“Come on baby, come back to me.” He’s murmuring in frustration.
In her own mind, she dashed in the direction opposite of Vecna, making a mad sprint for her friends where she could hear them. Bolting for a glimpse of a portal where she can see them, see herself, hovering above Steve.
The song cascades over her, Vecna tossing all manner of debris in the way to try and slow her down. She dodges it all, thinking it’s metal as hell.
Then she bursts through - sucking in a sharp breath, eyes flying open as she slams back into her own body, gravity suddenly assaulting her.
“Holy fuck!” Steve grunts, catching her, the sudden weight knocking them both to the floor, gasping.
Her whole body is trembling in his arms as he brushes her hair back from her face, saying her name.
“Hey…hey…hey…you’re okay.” He insists when she blinks at him in confusion, reality settling over her.
Then his tone is teasing. “Heavy metal, huh? Who knew.”
Eddie had known. Crazy Train is still blasting above the portal, drowned out by the sound of several people shouting, asking Amilia if she's okay.
“I’m good!” She yells up weakly, to the sound of resounding cheers. The music cuts off. Someone is commending Eddie for his quick thinking but he’s not really paying attention.
His neck is craned up towards the gateway to The Upside Down, anxious. “You wanna try the climb again, sweetheart?” She hears him call out softly.
Steve helps her up again, and soon she’s dropping down onto Eddie’s filthy mattress.
He reaches out to her immediately, pulling her up and into a crushing hug before grasping her chin in his hand and tilting it upwards so he could plant a passionate kiss on her lips.
“Woah now, when the hell did that happen?” Dustin complained while Erica gagged, the rest looking on with wide eyes.
The two pull apart as Steve drops down behind them, Nancy pulling him to his feet while ordering, “Never mind that. That music wasn’t exactly quiet, we need to get out of here.”
The group reconvenes at Max’s trailer, careful that Eddie isn’t spotted.
Eddie doesn’t stop touching Amilia, the whole time holding her hand and pressing fingers into the vein of her wrist. Feeling her pulse thrum satisfies him that she’s here, she’s here and she’s alive. All in one piece.
At least, physically anyways. “I know what he wanted from me. Dustin and Nancy’s suspicions about the portals being at each murder site were right. He's killed three times now, and made three gates - I was meant to be the fourth.”
“Four chimes.” Max says suddenly, eyes going wide at the realization.. “Vecna's clock. It always chimes four times. Four exactly.”
“I heard them too.” She tells her.
“He's been telling us his plan this whole time.” Max whispers.
“Four kills.” Lucas agrees. “Four gates…End of the world.”
Dustin’s hands are on his hips, voice somber. “If that's true…He's only one kill away.”
“Oh Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ.” Eddie panics, his grip tightening around Amilia.
Nancy stands, pacing. “We have to go back in there. Back to the Upside Down.” She tells all of them.
“Whoa, no, no, no.” Steve protests as Eddie shakes his head rapidly. “Nope. Nope.” He sides with Steve who jumps to his feet, adding. “Let's think this through.”
“What is there to think through?” Nancy snaps.
“We barely made it out of there in one piece.” Steve argues back.
“Yeah, because we weren't prepared! But this time, we will be. We'll get weapons and protection. We'll go through the gate, we'll find his lair, and we'll kill him.” Nancy says with a confidence that’s inspiring - to a few.
“Or he'll kill us.” Steve scoffed. “He's not scared of us.”
Robin nods vigorously. “And for good reason. We were wrong about Vecna…Henry…One! Sorry, what are we calling him now?”
“One.” Dustin says at near the same time Erica says “Vecna.” Lucas agrees on “One,” and Nancy claimed “Henry.”
Robin nods rapidly. “Right. We've learned something new about Vecna-slash-Henry-slash-One. He's a number like Eleven, only a sick, evil, male, child-murdering version of her with really bad skin. But my…my point is, he's super powerful. Could turn us inside out with a snap of his fingers. It's not a fair fight.” She panics.
“So then why fight fair?” Dustin points out. “You're right. He's like Eleven. But that gives us an upper hand. We know Eleven's strengths, and weaknesses.”
“Weaknesses?” Erica asks snarkily.
“When El remote-travels, she goes into this sort of trance-like state. I bet the same is true of Vecna.” Dustin explains.
“That would explain what he was doing in that attic.” Lucas blurts.
“Exactly. When he attacks his victim, I'll bet you he's back in that attic, physical body defenseless.” Dustin sounds practically giddy.
Steve almost rolls his eyes at that. “Defenseless? Yeah? What about the army of bats?”
“Right. True. We'll have to find a way past them. Distract them somehow.” Dustin says like it’s no big deal.
Eddie starts to stand, “And, uh, how do we do that, exactly?”
“No idea.” Dustin’s words make Eddie sit back down. “But once they're gone, he doesn't stand a chance. It'll be like slaying sleeping Dracula in his coffin.”
“That all sounds good in theory, but there is no pattern to Vecna's killings. I mean at least not one that I can decipher.” Robin reminds everyone. “We don’t know where he’s going to attack next, we don’t know who he’s going to attack next-”
“Yeah we do.” Amilia blurts suddenly. A hush falls over the room, and she refuses to look at anyone. “I can still feel him.”
“What the hell does that mean?” Eddie prodded.
She glanced at Max. “Do you still have those drawings you made, of what you remember from before Vecna withdrew from you?”
Max nods, scrambling to find them. Ignoring the ones of the disassembled Creel house, she finds the drawing where two victims were suspended.
In a mumble Max explained, “He’d strung up Chrissy and Patrick’s corpses to greet me.”
“What’s going on with their faces? The expressions on their faces?” Amilia urges her, getting close enough to her that Lucas makes an involuntary step forward.
“Chrissy was…scared. Patrick was…furious.” Max admits.
She nods, suddenly standing, dictating to anyone. “Get me something to write with.”
Confused, Max complies. The group watches as Amilia turns the sheet over to its blank side and draws a large plus sign, with an arrowhead at the top tips of each line end.
Atop all but the top arrow, she writes emotions. To the left she writes Terror, with Rage to its right. Below the two, under the arrow pointing downwards, she writes Grief.
“When I was there Fred was with them. Vecna took him as a substitute for Max. He looked…Sad.” She explained, tapping the diagram.
“Why does that matter?” Max asked.
“Because I…when I passed them I could feel it. I could feel what they were feeling before they died. Chrissy was afraid. Patrick was angry. Fred felt…Fred felt how you had felt for Billy, only Fred didn’t have Kate Bush to snap him out of it.” She swallows.
“And you? What were you feeling?” Erica asked.
A dreaded question. Amilia doesn’t want to tell them, but it’s burning her from the inside out. “I was happy.” She laughed bitterly, tears filling her eyes that she quickly brushed off with the back of her hand. “Can you believe that?”
“Happy? Happy we were leaving the Upside Down?” Robin questioned.
“Or happy we were in it to begin with, you goddamn weirdo.” Steve breathed tiredly, like he’d already accepted that.
She shakes her head rapidly, pressing her knuckles on both hands into her head. “No, no you don’t understand. It wasn’t…it wasn’t being in the Upside Down. Or escaping it.”
She drops her hands in defeat. While she’d figured it out, she wished she hadn’t. She doesn’t want to admit this right now.
“So what, what was it?” Lucas blurts.
“What the hell made you so happy that Vecna tried consuming you?” Nancy accused.
“It’s…it was Eddie.” She mumbles.
“Eddie?!?” Dustin blurts at the same time that the man’s eyebrows shoot up. “Me?”
“I…can I talk to you, alone for a second?” She whispers, her face flushed.
“Guys, we don’t have time for this.” Nancy argues. “You need to be straight up with us.”
She looks at the floor, not wanting to do this with an audience. “I was climbing the rope. You were smiling at me, and I had just heard your breathless little mutter of how fun it was. And I think, when I dropped through the portal that, that was the moment…And I think I fell in love with you, right there.”
The room goes dead silent.
Eddie stands, his body rigid and tone hushed as he asks. “You love me?”
She nods shamefully. He opens his mouth, nothing comes out.
Robin takes the pen - adds a word to the final arrow jutting from the diagram: Ecstasy.
Amilia can’t even look at Eddie. He stares at her. She explains, “This is why I became the last piece of the puzzle. Because that…feeling was the hardest to find. It’ll be the hardest to replicate, and so now that he’s found it, he isn’t letting go. I-I can still feel him. I'm still marked.”
She heaves a deep sigh, telling them all her plan. “So that’s why I ditch Ozzy, I draw his focus back to me.”
“No!” Eddie blurts.
“You can't.” Steve agrees. “He'll kill you.”
She vehemently disagrees. “I survived before. I can survive again. I just need to keep him busy long enough so that you guys can get into that attic…Then you can chop his head off or whatever it takes.”
“We’re not doing that.” Eddie growls.
“It’s only a matter of time before he gets me, anyway.” She tried to explain.
Eddie’s eyes are burning. “I’ll tear him apart limb from limb before I ever let that happen.”
“Eddie,” Dustin protests. “She’s got a point.”
“No!” He wailed. “There has to be another way.”
“I say we vote.” Erica says, rationally.
“This isn’t a fucking democracy!” Eddie growls.
“And you don’t own her just because she happens to love you, you stupid freak!” Erica shouts back.
“So we vote.” Nancy insists, cutting between the two.
“We vote.” Lucas agrees, arms crossed across his chest.
“All in favor?” Amilia asked, watching as Nancy, Dustin, Lucas, Erica, and her all raise their hands.
“That’s five for, four against. You guys are outnumbered.” Dustin pityingly tells Eddie, Robin, Max, and Steve, all with their own reasons for doubting the plan.
Still it’s Eddie it hurts. He makes a move to storm out of the trailer, realizes he can’t, and then storms into the closest room he can, slamming the door shut.
“We need to get supplies.” Nancy explains, looking at Amilia sadly. And to be pitied by Nancy Wheeler….well, that was a new low for her.
“Do you think you can get him on board?” Steve asks.
“I’ll try my best.” She sighs, heading off where he went.
When she enters the room Eddie is sitting on the bed. His head is buried in his hands, his whole body practically vibrating with anger at this latest development.
Amilia’s not sure if she should touch him or not, not wanting to feel the cold brush of his rejection after her confession.
But Eddie surprises her, head still downed when he hears her enter, not having to look to know who’s coming after him. He reaches one hand out and wiggles his ringed fingers in her direction. “Come here.” He orders.
She takes a step forward, close enough for him to slip his hand into hers, pulling her down and into his lap, face buried in her neck.
The two sit that way for a while, until Eddie finally sighs in reluctant acceptance. “I guess there’s no changing your mind.”
“None.” She agreed.
Eddie tries to smile, stroking his fingers along the length of her arm. “I don’t know…I think I can be pretty persuasive.” He teases lightly, pressing an attentive kiss to her neck that makes her clench her thighs together.
“There are children here.” She warns him lightly.
“Don’t care.” He jokes, then lets out a little chuckle in wonder. “…God, what are you doing to me?” He asks rhetorically before he lays her down, kissing her all over.
“Still not going to change my mind.” She insists, unconvincingly.
Eddie chuckles. “At least let me try…I’d like to think my persuasive skills go beyond just making you fall for me despite all the obvious red flags.”
She stiffens beneath him, swallowing tightly. “Eddie…I…I’m sorry.” Tears threaten to spill once again. Tears of embarrassment and shame.
“Don’t be. I’m not.” He promises, wiping them away, letting out a frustrated breath. “Look, I may not exactly be right where you are, like emotionally, but that doesn’t mean I don’t care about you.” He nuzzled her cheek with his. “I’m - I’m not willing to lose you.”
“You won’t lose me. I know you won’t. We’re gonna get through this.” She insists, hoping she can get him on board. She doesn’t want to do this without him.
He doesn’t say anything in response, and so she runs her hands through his long hair with a soft hum. “And then, after that, I am going to make you fall so in love with me that you’ll have no choice but to realize that I am always right.”
Eddie rumbles with laughter, pulling her in closer. “Sounds like a plan.”
She gripped his chin in her hand, the same way he’d done earlier with his kiss. She makes him look at her, murmuring softly. “We need you right now, Eds. Don’t check out on us again.” Then she kisses his cheek, and leads him out the room.
Eddie vows then and there that he’s going to give them all every advantage he can, rummaging around before smacking down the yellow pages to show the group.
“Check this out. The War Zone - I've been there once. It's huge. They got everything you need for, uh... well, killing things, basically.” He smiles cheekily.
“You think fake Rambo has enough guns there?” Robin asks, pointing to the ad. “Is that a grenade? I mean, how is any of this legal?”
“Well, lucky for us it is, so…” Eddie snipes. “This...This place is just far enough outside of Hawkins. As long as we steer clear of main roads, we oughta be able to avoid cops and, uh, angry hicks.”
Erica glares at Eddie. “If we're trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn't go to some store called ‘The War Zone.’”
“Normally, I'd agree, but we need the weapons. So I think it's worth the risk.” Nancy responds.
“Me too.” Lucas agrees.
“But is it worth the time? It'll take all day to bike there and back.” Dustin points out.
“Who said anything about bikes?” Eddie asks plainly.
“What you got some sort of car we don't know about?” Steve prods.
Eddie stands up straighter, head tilted to the side. “It's not exactly a car, Steve. And it's not exactly mine, but, uh... it'll do.” His eyes land on the rest of the group as he asks Max. “Hey, Red, uh, you got a ski mask or a bandanna, something like that?”
Max finds the Michael Meyers mask she wore for Halloween in 84’, and with that obscuring his identity Eddie leads the group of kids through the trailer park.
They arrive at one of the mobile homes, Eddie opening a rear window and sinking inside of it. He drops down inside the RV, complaining lightly as he sheds the mask. “That was suffocating.” He grumbles.
He moves to the front of the vehicle, locking the door as the rest of the kids pour in behind him.
Then he drops down into the driver's seat, pliers in his teeth as he makes quick work of the wires under the dash.
“Where'd you learn how to do this?” Steve asks, concerned.
“Well, when the other dads were teaching their kids how to fish or play ball, my old man was teaching me how to hot-wire.” He laments. “Now, I swore to myself I wouldn't wind up like he did, but now I'm wanted for murder, and soon, grand theft auto. So, uh, I'm really living up to that Munson name.”
Robin approached the two as Amilia was in the back, getting all the kids through and into the vehicle.
“Uh Eddie, I'm not sure I love the idea of you driving.” She protests.
“Oh, I'm just starting this ‘sucker. Harrington's got her. Don't ya, big boy?” He winks as the engine fires up.
The couple that owns the trailer starts screaming at the sound of backfire alerting them, banging on the doors and sides
“Everybody, hang on to something!” Steve yells.
As the RV swung wildly in Steve’s attempts to evade their pursuers and leave the trailer park behind, Eddie practically fell into Amilia’s lap at the back, smiling wildly at her.
“I don’t know how you could possibly think that you have any red flags.” She says sarcastically, as Eddie laughs.
Later he waits in the RV with Dustin, Lucas, and her - all those who really need to avoid being seen. As they do,  the rest of the group pours into The War Zone. The place is packed, and Robin mutters, “So much for avoiding angry hicks.”
“Let’s be…fast.” Nancy agrees.
That conviction is further enforced when Jason and his crew show up, clearly gathering weapons in their hunt for Eddie.
After barely avoiding a confrontation, the rest of them all file back into the RV, Erica announcing to her brother “Your old friends are here!” In explanation of Steve peeling away.
The group reconvenes off the main roads, parking in a large field and splitting into small groups to ready their weapons.
Steve drops down beside Amilia where she’s lost in her song again, playing on cassette.
He taps her shoulder gently, telling her when she moves the headphone down, “Got you something.”
Then he hands over a shopping bag with her prize already sticking out of it.
“You shouldn’t have.” She says, but pulls the gift out anyway, smiling to herself.
“It’s kinda like the one you lost, right?” He asks, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
She nods, unsheathing the machete from its holster and kissing the blade.
During the two’s last interaction with the supernatural, she had certainly lost a similar one in the hide of a monster. She’d grumbled about it more than once.
“I know it won’t exactly help with what you're about to do but…I couldn’t just leave it behind.” He explains. Amilia stands and gives him a big hug, the weapon still held securely in her grasp.
“Listen, Steve...I promised Eddie we’re going to get through this, but I have this terrible gnawing feeling that it might not work out for us this time.” She says it so quietly he can barely hear.
“Why vote for this then? Why risk it?” He doesn’t understand.
“If we don’t stop him, who will?” She asks, and then sighs. “I mean we have to try, right?”
She watches across the field as Eddie wrestles around with Dustin. Steve watches the interaction also, his jealousy of their camaraderie long since ebbed at the sight. He took comfort knowing that Dustin thought he was a badass.
“I won’t make you promise for if anything should happen to me. I know you’ll look after them.” She chuckled.
Steve swallows. “I will.” Then she offers him a more personal smile, tapping the corner of his chin gently with a closed fist.
When night begins to fall, it’s time for everyone to take their places. Amilia heads into the Creel house with the Sinclairs and Max.
The rest of the team heads into the Upside Down where they intend to split.
Steve gathers Eddie and Dustin, Amilia’s words ringing in his mind. “Hey, guys, listen. If things here start to go south, I mean, at all, you abort. Okay? Draw the attention of the bats. Keep 'em busy for a minute or two. We'll take care of Vecna. Don't try to be cute or be a hero or something. Okay? You guys are just…”
“Decoys.” Dustin and Steve say simultaneously. “Don't worry. You can be the hero, Steve.” Dustin adds with a smile.
“Absolutely. I mean, look at us. We are not heroes.” Eddie indicated their pitiful selves.
Steve nods, turning to go.
Eddie calls out after him. “Hey Steve?” He steps forward, voice low with fervor. “Make him pay.”
Back in Hawkins the four who stayed behind use the lanterns as they walk throughout the Creel house.
Eddie and Dustin fortify Eddie’s trailer in The Upside Down. “…Now for the fun part.” Eddie grins, as they head into the trailer, to his room.
“Jesus Chr…It’s like she was destined for an alternate dimension.” He picks up his guitar with utmost care. “What do you say Henderson? Are you ready for the most ‘metal concert in the history of the world?”
“Is that a rhetorical question?” Dustin grins cheekily.
Eddie grins back, slinging the guitar over his back. “Let’s do it.”
Erica is the one who finds Vecna, heading to the playground in order to alert the group members in the upside down once it’s time for phase two.
Amilia heads into the room where the lantern flickers with Vecna’s presence. She turns her music off, and starts to call out to Vecna.
He takes the bait, so Dustin and Eddie initiate phase three.
A distraction in the form of Master of Puppets extends through the far reaches of the Upside Down, and draws the demo bats away from Vecna’s lair so Nancy, Robin, and Steve can approach it.
Amilia, deep in her mind, travels back through good memories…Billy Hargrove flirting with her shamelessly on Halloween, offering her his Terminator jacket when her gold bikini did nothing against the cold, never mind that it left him shirtless…A flurry of tattoo appointments, only trusting one man to get the job done, and him frequently asking her to recreate handwriting for him on stencils, since she could forge down to the letter…Telling Steve and Robin a story where she’d waited an unrealistic amount of time to exhale smoke while getting high with a friend. Laughing as she’d explained that said friend's mom had come into the room, and they’d not wanted to get themselves caught.
She needs to avoid the memories so sweet she could get lost in them. So she heads for something different, something muted.
Starcourt Mall.
Johnathan is attempting to cut the writhing chunk of the Mind Flayer out of El. Amilia watches in horror in the memory, biting down on her fist.
Then the bodies in that memory fade, and she’s left with only the location. So she flees the scene, heading deeper into the fabrication in order to hide from Vecna.
She finds a store with a cracked gate, sliding under it and pulling it down, sealing herself inside.
She had no way of knowing how long she hid. But eventually footsteps fall nearby, alerting her to another presence.
“You can't hide from me…You think I don't see what you're doing? You think I don't see…everything? You thought you could trick me? You thought your friends could stop me? I see them. I see your friends. Just as clearly as I see you. I can feel them. I can feel them dying.”
He shows it to her - shows her Erica running through the woods, a basketball player tackling and choking her until her eyes bug out…Jason shooting Max and Lucas…Steve and Nancy and Robin being engulfed by vines…and Eddie…Eddie’s throat is slashed open by one of the bats swarming him.
Amilia flinches away from it - and suddenly he’s there. He’s there and his hands are on her - and no no no no no, that’s where Vecna wants her to go.
A weapon. She needs a weapon. She runs to the memory of a weapon.
Eddie and Dustin are roughhousing in the field. Dustin has just made a terrible pun. Eddie makes him promise to never change.
The field is empty now, so she runs and drops to her knees in the grass where she and Steve stood, and grabs it, the machete.
Vecna is right behind her.
Amilia slices and hacks at him when he’s too close. When she hits flesh, he cries out.
“Enough!” He snarled.
He snatches the weapon from her hands with vines that snake up, coiling around her and holding her down. She thrashes wildly against them, to no avail.
Hoping that she’s buying time.
Vecna’s disgusting hand wraps around her face, as he shoves her down through the earth. Despite the sensation of the vines, she’s falling.
Down, down, down…memories turned to pulp in his wake. And then she slams down onto a bed - her bed. She’s in her room.
Eddie is there too. He’s grinning at her, long hair falling down to curtain either side of her face.
Her brain is fuzzy. She’s drunk off him, intoxicated, when his tongue plays lazily with hers.
Something was wrong. It shouldn’t feel like this. Nothing should feel this good.
Outside the memory, Vecna still has Amilia in the field. His hand stretches out toward her, ready to complete his work.
Her eyes roll back in her head in The Upside Down too, and he smiles at his impending victory.
Until one sharp yank sends him flying away from her.
Her eyes come into focus, and she gasps, suddenly and jarringly back in the field. Scrambling to her feet, she sees an old friend - Eleven, with Vecna suspended in the air.
“You.” He snarls at her.
“Hi.” She says back, tossing him through the walls of the RV Eddie had stolen however long before.
Then she rushes to the other girls side. “Amilia, are you okay?” Eleven asks her .
“Huh?” She blinks.
“Are you okay?” She repeats.
“Yeah.” She nods slowly. “Are you - are you real? Did I make you?” She whispers in confusion.
“I’m real.” She promised, turning abruptly at the sound of Vecna, climbing out of the hole El had made with him.
“Stay back.” She orders before tossing Amilia the machete with her mind and walking towards Vecna, who is fuming. Tendrils of fire and smoke curl around the edges of her memory.
Vecna gets the advantage over the two after a harrowing battle, pinning Eleven down and coming for Amilia. She defends herself as best she can, but El, tossed into a dark corner of reality, can hear her screaming.
Her body rises in the real world, and he makes Eleven listen to the sound of bones snapping, one arm bending in places it isn’t supposed to.
Eleven screeches at that, throwing him back with everything she has.
The end of phase 4 commences simultaneously - while El takes Vecna down in Amilia’s mind, Steve tosses a Molotov cocktail at his physical body. Then Robin tosses another. And Nancy shoots him several times for good measure.
His body flies right through the Creel house, hitting the ground in The Upside Down.
Amilia hits the ground in the real world, sobbing. A clock chimes four times.
The earth splits open.
Amilia’s blinking headily against the blurred sight of Lucas - Max - Erica - Eleven? Then she slips away.
When she opens her eyes she’s in the hospital, no sense of how long it’s been.
There’s a cast on her arm. The kids have all signed it. Steve, Nance, Robin. They all must have made it out. Vecna’s visions weren’t true.
Still there’s one name missing.
She bolts upwards, startling the person in a chair beside her. He jumps to his feet.
“Harrington?” She questions groggily.
He rushes to her side. “Hey! Hey you’re okay.”
“What’s going on? What happened?” She clenched her fist, crying out.
Steve makes her smooth out her fingers, chastising her. Then his voice broke. “What happened? You died, Amilia.”
“Then why am I alive?” She responds.
“Something - Eleven - we’re not really sure. But you were dead, your death opened Vecna’s portal into The Upside Down. He accomplished what he wanted.”
“Oh no,” she whispers, thinking she had failed.
Steve grasps her good hand, “Never mind that. You made it. That’s all that matters.” But he can’t meet her eyes.
She grows stiff, blood leaving her face. “Is everyone okay?”
He stalls. “There was an earthquake. We don’t know what this means. Vecna’s body was - it was gone.”
“Steve.” She says firmly. “Is everyone okay?”
He pinched the bridge of his nose. “For the most part. Eddie…Eddie deviated from the plan. He tried to take on the swarm of demo-bats to buy us more time. He was injured pretty badly. And with the allegations, we couldn’t take him to a hospital like we did you.”
“Oh god.” Tears fill her eyes. “Tell me he’s gonna be alright.”
“He’s spent every bandage change threatening to kill us, so I think it’s safe to say that he’s gonna pull through.”
She feels like she can breathe, really breathe, for the first time. Steve nods a bit. “I mean the guy has grown on me but he’s gotten on all of our last nerves lately. Makes us watch you in shifts, give him reports on you - when quite frankly you've been comatose for two days. Not much to say! …He’s gonna be so happy when I eventually tell him you’re awake.”
“Eventually?” She starts to raise her voice - a barrage of Spanish protests.
“English.” Steve scolds. “I’m sorry but it’s gotta be that way. We're trying to get him to stay put. If we tell him you’re conscious then he’s gonna bolt right over here and land himself in a jail cell.”
That did sound like him. She almost laughed. “Fine. As soon as possible then.”
It ended up being the next day. Amilia signed herself out Against Medical Advisement in the late afternoon, headed home to Eddie.
Steve had let all the kids know she was getting out, and everyone planned to come over later, after giving the two a few hours of privacy.
Steve dropped her off at the house she’d been driven from only days ago, and she headed inside. As the front door opens she can hear Eddie calling from her bedroom.
“You better have my fucking Yoo-hoos and Honeycomb cereal or I’m going to lose it.” He grumbles.
“Sorry to disappoint.” Amilia says. As she rounds the corner Eddie sees her, scrambling to his feet.
“Amilia.” he breathes. She takes him in, eyeing the bandages that wrap around pretty much the whole extent of his right side, then down on his lower left. He’s got some smaller ones scattered on both arms, and his face.
“Shit, Eddie.” She whispers, good hand clenching and unclenching.
“Looks a lot worse than it is.” He promised, pulling her in with no regard for his own comfort, kissing her forehead.
Then his hands brush against the hard plaster of her cast, a frown on his face. “He got way too close to you. I should have been there.”
“The plan needed you to be somewhere else. It wouldn’t have mattered.” She assures him. He doesn’t like that answer. It sounds like a reflex. He suspects she’s not been honest with him in a way, this whole time. Telling him whatever it takes.
“Don’t do that.” He pleads.
Amilia can’t help but to be relieved at the instruction, lightly brushing against the bandage covering a portion of his chin. “…I saw the bats kill you.” She whispers.
“I know that it wasn’t real, that Vecna wanted to break me. Wanted me to give in to everything he wanted me to see and welcome the death of it all…but in that moment it was so real and I just…I…I love you, Eddie. And you don’t need to feel the same right now or even ever, but you do need to know that it’s how I felt when I fell through that portal…and for every scar and broken bone, I love you.”
Eddie’s gaze is soft, lips turned up at the corners as his shy voice leaks through. “…Be my girl?”
A nod, and he kisses her eagerly.
Then she pulls away, raising a brow. “Yoo-hoos and honeycomb cereal?” She teases.
He makes a face. “I know. I’ve been really suffering without your home cooking. Never leave me again.”
She laughs and promises.
A few hours later when the house is full of familiar faces, the party recounts the war, sharing stories.
Now that the world is saved - for now - they all wrack their brains trying to think of ways to clear Eddie’s name.
Easier said than done, since the biggest claim to his innocence is that Chrissy was actually murdered by an interdimensional being.
The answer comes when the group gets to another part of the story - the part explaining why Lucas’ face is all swollen. Swollen from fist fighting Jason Carver.
“Jason?” Amilia repeats in worried confusion.
“The prick found us while you were in with Vecna.” Max explained.
“Lucas knocked him out cold and then he was in the perfect place to die when the earthquake hit.” Erica explains.
“Fucking poetic.” Robin grumbles.
Suddenly, abruptly, Amilia stands, grabbing her keys. Eyes go wide around the room.
“Where are you going?” Eddie protests, trying to come after her.
“To clear your name - possibly commit a felony.”  She says it casually, Steve is already on board and holding the door open for her as the others protest behind her.
Too late.
The two of them head out into the night, with Steve asking for her to clue him in. Once she does so, he makes a firm vow to never cross her.
That night the two of them do a lot of breaking and entering. The final stop is in Jason Carver’s room to plant evidence - trophies, from each kill.
A lock of Chrissy’s hair that Amilia snipped off at the morgue. Patrick’s jacket, stolen from evidence - that one he had shed initially for the swim into Lover’s Lake. Fred’s journaling pad that he’d had last time he was with Nancy, left in her car.
All of it she had taken, hiding it very poorly beneath Jason’s bed in a box.
And since she’s an overachiever, she also gets a small journal, where ‘Jason’ details his homicidal rage. She forges his handwriting perfectly, checking it against the school papers in his backpack.
Then she manages to scrounge up a yearbook of Jason’s from her senior year when Jason was a sophomore.
She flips to a page in it with Eddie’s club - his first senior year, the year she had graduated - wondering how she had missed him all that time - and admiring his cute face before drawing a big, blood red pentagram right over it.
She cuts images out of each of the murder victims, Chrissy, then Patrick, then Fred, saving herself for last. His next intended victim.
These images are pasted in the journal, one to a page. Then Amilia tosses the yearbook somewhere convenient.
She slips the journal under Jason’s pillow, and high tails it out of there.
Then she makes Steve take her to the police station, playing the supportive friend who convinces the victim to come forward.
And she sells the hell out of the lie that Jason tried to kill her before the earthquake took him out.
From which point Amilia had stumbled into the streets, fainting. Saved by the Sinclairs and Max who were at the playground nearby.
The police were already mildly suspicious of Jason after his story about Eddie being a vessel for Satan and her being some kind of bride of Dracula who had done something to the lemonade - which they had tested - finding only sugar, lemons, and water.
So she helped them along to the conclusion that makes the most sense.
Some of them go to Jason’s - finding exactly what she’d intended for them to find. Though they don’t tell her, she can feel the shift in the narrative.
They’re much gentler - even though they don’t let Eddie off the hook so easily. Not that Amilia wasn’t expecting it. They ask her if she knows where he is, and they bring him in.
He'd been filled in by then - and so he came prepared. He shows up, hiding his injuries as much as possible, and tells a watered down version of the truth - that he found Chrissy’s body in his trailer and he ran, horrified. He knew how it looked.
He puts on a dramatic show in true Eddie fashion - wanting it on record that if the police were left to their own devices, Jason would have gotten away with it. “And my girlfriend would have been one of his mangled victims!” He smacks his hands onto the table theatrically.
The police have the good sense to be embarrassed. They hold Eddie only for a few more hours, at which point they’ve got more than enough to convict Jason.
They release a statement. His body is found where Amilia had said it was, and quietly buried. The reality of what she wanted them to see shakes the whole town.
The news runs coverage on it for a whole week, and after the coverage is widespread Eddie tentatively returns to life as it was.
Well, almost.
Eddie’s uncle had been relocated by government agents when the portal first started to show. Now that there was actually a gaping mess through the trailer, Eddie couldn’t exactly go back there.
So more often than not, he makes himself at home at Amilia’s.
She cooks, he does the dishes. The two plan for the future in between it all.
Haunted by the thought of losing Eddie, she’s happy to just get the hell out of Hawkins now. But Eddie is determined to graduate. After that, he promises, the two of them can go anywhere she wants.
What she wants, she tells him, is to go somewhere where they can leave the monsters behind. Eddie makes promises.
For now though the pair stay put, and even work with the others on trying to put the world back together.
But that’s another story…
The days turn into months, and June arrives. With it, Eddie’s big day.
As he walks the stage at graduation, he can hear the small cluster of his friends - and his small family- cheering louder than the muted clapping from a town that still has him labeled a freak and probably always will.
His uncle Wayne is the only one mortified rather than proud, when he keeps true to his word and flips off the principal.
“I couldn’t ask him not to do it. It was three years in the making.” Amilia tells the older man.
He smiles fondly at her.
Of all the terrible things to come out of the last few months, Amilia was not one of them.
Wayne saw how she kept his nephew on the straight and narrow, while also keeping Wayne in his temporary housing supplied with home cooking and baked goods. It was no wonder his nephew loved her.
Sure, he hadn’t said as much, but Wayne knew. He could see it in the way he looked at her.
When he makes the two of them pose for pictures, he can’t help but to snap one of Eddie’s soft gaze when Amilia isn’t paying attention, and knows it’s only a matter of time before he tells her so.
After photos, while wearing Robin’s hat, Steve excitedly tells them all, “After party at my place!”
Most agree to go - only Nancy, Johnathan and Wayne opting out of it, the former celebrating privately, and the latter leaving early to get to work.
From there it’s the kids, Steve’s pool, the cheap beers he swaps out in favor of his parents' good stuff because why not, it’s a special occasion.
And to top off the celebration, Eddie gets absolutely wasted. Like to the point of needing help taking his clothes off. There’s no chance of getting him upstairs, so Amilia and Steve help him cozy up on the living room couch.
“Tell me again?” he slurs, voice whiny and desperate as he stops her from tucking him in, Steve off to fetch some water.
“Again?” She asks in bewilderment.
He nods vigorously, a pout on his lips. “I need to hear you say it.”
She smiles at him, leaning down and pressing little kisses to the corner of his jaw, the scarring there. “I love you.” She whispers in promise against his skin.
Eddie nearly sags in relief. “Fuuuck, that’s so good. I don’t deserve you baby.”
“You’re cute, Eds.” She chuckles, batting his hands away when he tries to pull her down into him.
“No…come on, I mean it.” He complains. “You’re the best girl in this whole town, the whole universe. How the hell did I get so lucky?”
A small shrug, Eddie laughs. “I’m gonna give you everything, you know? Buy you one of those big houses the fleeing townsfolk left behind when this place got cursed.” He chortles. “Snatch it right up while the property values are shit…Probably the only way I’d be able to give you the kinda place a girl like you deserves.”
Amilia’s eyes widened in surprise.
Stay? She didn’t realize he might want to stay when the talks they’d had were always about leaving.
That wasn’t the plan…and yet…
And yet she knew she would, for him. Would even fight monsters again. All for him.
For now though, she laughs non-committedly. “Eddie I don’t need all that, just you.”
“And you’ll have me!” He swears. “I’m never going away. I’m gonna stick right by you and however many babies you’ll let me put in you.” A cocky smirk, like he was already thinking about the process.
“Eddie!” She gasps, smacking him playfully.
Steve returns with the water, insisting Eddie drink it. He pouts but does so, grumbling at Steve, “Hate you.”
“No you don’t.” Steve chuckles, making sure Amilia’s okay with the hot mess before heading upstairs to go to bed.
Eddie clings to her side, babbling about a future for the two of them that’s much more conventional than the one they’d been planning.
Amilia hides when she starts to tear up. This poor man, who’d been through so much, here in his drunken truth, wanted nothing but some stability. Normalcy. Like everyone else got to have.
And damn if she wasn’t going to be the one to make sure of it for him.
She tries to come up with a way to make that clear…and a week later she has it, executing her plan with some help from uncle Wayne.
Leaving before Eddie wakes up, Amilia employs all of her friends' help as they raid the Munson trailer, loading up all of Eddie’s belongings into her car. Everything he owns.
(She’d cleared some of the more incriminating things out beforehand - handcuffs, sexy magazines, condoms she tucks in her pocket for…safekeeping.)
When she returns to her place with it all, Eddie meets her outside, antsy because she’s been gone all day.
“There’s my girl,” Eddie grins, opening the door for Amilia as she steps out, taking in her packed car. “What’s uh…what’s all this?”
“Your stuff.” She says innocently, nervously playing with the hem of her shirt.
Eddie blinks in surprise, voice slightly higher in pitch. “Are we…are we hitting the road already?”
“Actually um, I thought maybe we could stay for a bit.” She confesses, looking at her shoes so she doesn’t have to see his expression as she continues.
“I…I know my place isn’t exactly one of the huge houses collecting dust on Maple street right now…but um, I think we can make it a home - at least for now. Add your things in with mine.”
Eddie is silent.
She flushes, still unable to look at him, worrying her lower lip - and then the gravel crunches as he inches closer to her, tilting her head up by her chin to make her meet his gaze. His eyes are soft.
“Are you asking me to move in with you?” He grins.
She huffs. “Yeah, Munson, I thought that was obvious.”
He laughs, swearing as he lets her face go, only to grab her hand. “We don’t have to stay. I would follow you anywhere, woman.”
“I know you would. The thing is…I don’t need you to. I think I was just scared before…scared to lose you, and I convinced myself that it would be safer to run away from here and drag you with me…But that’s not what you want. And I couldn’t bear to take you from everything you’ve ever known on the chance that the world is safer outside Hawkins.” She tells him, squeezing his palm.
“Fuck” Eddie blurts, squeezing her hand in his in response. “I love you.”
Her eyes widen, he can’t help but to smile so wide that it hurts. “I really love you. You are…you are everything to me. I’m sorry that I haven’t told you that before. Shit, it’s long overdue I just…”
“I love you too.” She cuts him off.
Eddie beams, leans down and kisses her before picking her up off the ground, carrying her into the house bridal style, boots kicking open the front door.
“Eddie!” She squeals in protest, trying not to laugh. “You need to unpack the car!”
“Not just yet, baby, I’m the man of this house now and I say no unpacking until we’ve christened every room in this place.” He snickers.
He carries her back to their room, depositing her on their bed just so he can make sure to do everything in his power to let her know that she’s his and he’s hers.
For however long she’ll have him.

below the cut is a list of misc. steve harington headcanons trigger warnings for: ptsd, childhood neglect, disordered eating, body image mention, scars mention.
steve was twelve the first time his parents went on vacation without him, a trip spurred by his father’s latest affair, it was the first time he found out about the affairs and kicked off at his father for it, so as punishment he was left home with a babysitter who was only four years his senior and who left him alone for half of the two-week trip.
the following year there was no babysitter, and he was left alone a month this time, with only the cleaning lady for company on tuesday’s and friday’s. he would get super spooked about noises in the house, and obsessively check that the windows and doors were all locked. most nights he would sleep in the living room with the TV on for background noise to drown out any weird house sounds.
steve can cook, not master chef levels of cooking but he’s decent at it, he taught himself since he hated relying on take out and junk food when his parents were away. he likes to cook for robin and the kids when they come over. steve has a lot of  disordered eating behaviours that he doesn’t recognise as such, and fully believes he’s just health conscious. but his strict exercise routines and eating habits suggest otherwise - i won’t go any further into this for my own sake and trigger myself but -  yeah steve has disorder eating and orthorexic tendencies when it comes to his relationship with food.
steve has undiagnosed ptsd, from the last four years of fighting literally monsters and the whole life fighting imaginary ones in his own mind, largely thanks to his father. he suffers from panic attacks and bad anxiety whenever he is on his own, he started having panic attacks as a kid, and they never really went away, they were never as bad until after barb and the demogorgon at the Byers house. after that night steve had nightmares every night for a month, sometimes the demogorgan got nancy, sometimes jonathan, sometimes everyone. he always wakes himself up screaming.
he can barely face going into his pool, after he found out what really happened that night with barb, it haunts him, he blames himself for being stupid and selfish and thinking with his dick, swimming use to be his outlet, he was swim captain his junior and senior year, and yet, now he can barely bring himself to step foot in the pool, but the kids do -- when he has them over in summer, and that helps a little, the drag him in one day, and he realises he can handle it with his friends there, but he’ll never go in the pool alone.
the nightmares were worse after he was drugged and kidnapped by the russians, him and robin have only really talked about it drunk one night at his place a couple of months after it happened, they both ended up emotionally overwhelmed, cried, cuddled and fell asleep on steve’s sofa. after the russians he started getting terrible headaches too, robin suggested it could be from the head trauma, he thinks she might be right but he’s never gone to have it checked out.
after they fail to defeat vecna his nightmares gets worse, his sleeping is practically non-existent, robin notices, she stays over at his place most nights, knows that he sleeps better when he isn’t alone but that he’s too stubborn to ask, doesn’t want to be a burden. eventually, after a month of barely sleeping robin forces him to go to the doctors and he gets sleeping pills, they don’t work great, but they help a little.
steve has scars after his encounters with the demobats and the vines that almost sucked the life out of him in the upside down, the worst is probably the one on his neck, already present from the demobat attack but made worse by the vines,  but the time it heals there is a thick 2 inch scar at the very front of his neck, and on the left side an almost ‘y’ shaped scar that wraps halfway around, with two smaller ones at the back on his neck. but it's the scars on his abdomen that he hates the most, there are six of them in total, 4 on his left side, 2 on his right, they’re mottled and ache like a bitch when he’s cold, the two on his right got infected and took weeks to heal. whenever he looks in a mirror they are all he can focus on, how ugly they are, and how ugly the memories attached to them are, they remind him of how terrified he was in the upside down; how his friends got hurt because of his stupid plan.
