A/N : sorry for the lack of updates i started uni recently and i’m trying to find my footing 🫶🏻
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
Pre-Date Kisses :
Before you and Eddie got together you were very friendly with one another, always close, laughing, smiling, lingering hugs, hands brushing.
Along with that there were the cheek kisses, the ones that made Eddies cheeks burn and yours ache with smiles. They were sweet and kind and full of admiration.
“Morning,” Eddie smiled as you climbed into the van, “Hello.” You handed him your drink of steaming green tea. “Thank you,” he said, taking a sip, before handing the cup back.
The drive in the morning was how it always was, quiet, but a comfortable silence. The pair of you not awake enough to hold conversation. The air was cool so your body was a lot closer to Eddies trying to steal his heat.
“You okay there?” he asked.
“Chilly.”
“Hold the wheel,” the boy said.
“What?”
“Hold the wheel.”
He took his hands off and began to shrug his jacket off, sending a wave of panic through your body. Leaning across the boy and holding onto the wheel, you tried to keep the van steady and straight.
He dropped his jacket on your lap, sliding your hands off the wheel and placing his own there. “I hate you, you know,” you spoke, sliding your arms through the sleeves.
“Mhm, tell my jacket that.” You scoffed, rolling your eyes at him, whilst you sunk further into the smokey smelling material.
Pulling into the parking lot, Eddie ran round the van, opening the door for you.
“M’lady,” he said, offering you his hand, sliding your palm into his you played along, “Thank you kind sir.”
Gareth walked over to you, waving hello, “Morning guys.”
“Hey G, look I gotta run okay. I’ll see you later,” you smiled at the pair, taking off Eddies jacket.
He stopped you, “Keep it for now, don’t want you freezing.”
“Thank you Eds,” you smiled, standing on your tiptoes to press your lips to his cheek.
“I’ll see you guys later.”
“Bye,” Gareth waved.
“B-bye,” Eddie stuttered.
The younger boy laughed, “So when are you asking her out?”
“Shut up!”

Drunk Kisses :
This was also before you were dating, Eddie was hanging out with some friends and they had got … well drunk was putting it lightly.
Steve had called you to come and pick the boy up, you didn’t mind of course, you wanted him home safe and you knew that would happen if you were there.
Upon arrival Eddie almost launched himself at you, “Missed you,” he said, hugging you close. “Missed you too,” you laughed, “Let’s get you home yeah?”
Eddie was rambling on and on about the fun he had ( “would’ve been better if you were there”). The drive to his trailer wasn’t a long one, but Eddie was drunk and had the coordination of a baby giraffe.
His arm was over your shoulder as you basically dragged him through the door. “Where’s Wayne?” he asked, huffing, so his lips pouted. “He’s a work.”
“Oh yeah,” he laughed.
“Silly boy, come on let’s get ready for bed.”
“You’ll stay?”
“If you want, it’s not the first time we’ve had a sleepover.” The grin on his face was beautiful, he soon picked up speed as you were in his room.
“I’m going to get changed, please don’t injure yourself,” you said, half a joke, half pure concern. “Don’t worry babe, I’m all good,” he winked. Rolling your eyes you headed off to get changed.
Returning to Eddies bedroom you found him sat on the edge of his bed, staring as his feet very intensely. “You good?” You questioned, making the boy jump.
“Mhm, I’m fin- wow,” he paused.
“What?”
“You look good in my clothes,” he motioned to your make shift pyjamas, an old and worn band tee of Eddies and some shorts.
“Wear them all the time Eds.”
“I know you just look … pretty.”
“You think?”
“Mhm,” he nodded, pushing up from the bed and making his way to you.
“What are you doing?”
“Something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” he suddenly sounded more sober.
Placing his large palms on either side of your face, his pressed his mouth to yours, a soft kiss. Brushing of lips. Beautiful warmth. You could feel his smile growing against you.
“Eds,” you whispered, pushing him back, but not letting go fully, “You’re drunk.”
“So?”
“Eddie it’s not good to kiss when you’re drunk. How would you feel if I was drunk?”
His face dropped at that, “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay,” you said, brushing a curl out of his face, “Let’s go to bed, we can talk about this in the morning. Sound good?”
“You’re not going to leave are you?”
“I’d never leave you.”

The (Second) First Kiss :
Hearing a groan behind you, you couldn’t hide your laugh. “Morning Sunshine, coffees on the table. Making you some eggs and bacon.”
“You’re an Angel, mind telling me what happened last night.”
“One word : tequila.”
“I’m gonna murder Harrington.”
“Well he told me it was all your idea Pretty Boy, plus I don’t think you’ll be doing anything with that hangover.”
He sat on the couch, cradling a mug of coffee like it was his love and joy. “Did you come and get me?”
“Told you I would.”
“Thank you.”
You slid the food onto the plate, handing it to Eddie, “Eat, I’m going to get dressed and then buy you some gatorade.”
“Then we’ll talk about the kiss?”
His words were muffled with bacon, “What did you say?”
“The kiss. I kissed you. Or did you lie when you said we’d talk about it? If you don’t like me like that I get it.”
You sighed, “Eds it’s not that. You’re my best friend, I’m so scared well ruin it.”
“We won’t, come on it’s us. Plus we’ll never know if we don’t try.”
“Eds-“
“I like you. Do you like me?”
“Yeah.”
“Then there’s our answer.” He put down the plate, standing up go meet your lips.
His hands pulled you closer by the waist, you hands resting at the base of his neck, playing with the curls that lived there.
“We’ll be okay,” he whispered against your mouth. “We’ll be okay,” you repeated, huffing a laugh. “What’s funny?”
“You taste of tequila and bacon.”
The boy groaned, resting his head in your neck, making you smile. “I’ll go get some gatorade, you rest.”
“Thanks Sweetheart,” he said, kissing your head.

Sick Kisses :
“How are you feeling?” You asked, sitting down next to Eddie. He’d called you the night before saying he had come down with something and Wayne was forcing him to stay home.
“Rough,”he said voice hoarse.
“When was the last time you had medicine?”
“Like an hour ago, I can’t have anymore yet.”
You brushed his curls out his face, “I’m sorry you feel sick baby.”
“I feel better now you’re here.” You laughed, “God Munson, even when you’re sick, you’re a sweet talker.”
“Don’t you know it,” he laughed, making himself cough. “Careful,” you spoke, grabbing a glass of water from beside his bed. “Here, take some sips.”
He did, slowly, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. “You’re a great nurse.”
“I wish I could make you better,” you said.
“You have. Just by being here.”
“I missed you at school today.”
“I bet, I’m the best.”
Smiling you shook your head, “So cocky,” leaning down to kiss his lips he turned his head. “Hey!” you said.
“We can’t kiss, you’ll get sick.”
“But-“
“Baby no!” he chuckled. You rolled your eyes, groaning, “Fine. I’ll just have to kiss you here,” you pecked his cheek, “And here,”one to his nose, “And here,” a final one to his forehead.
“I’m cured!” he said, grinning, his face flushed. “I knew it’d work. Kisses are the best medicine.”

After-Sex Kisses :
Your breathing slowed, Eddies arm thrown over your waist. His bare chest, against the skin of your back. Your body was sweaty and warm, and felt floaty and beautiful.
“You okay?” he whispered into your hair. You hummed, running your fingers against his arm. “I’m so okay.” You were in a daze like state, you tended to be like this whenever you and Eddie would sleep together.
“Your head a bit fuzzy?”
“Mhm, but it’s good fuzzy,” you reassured him. “Okay baby.” You felt his lips on your shoulder, soft butterfly kisses. This had become a routine.
He clean you up and leave gentle presses at every part of skin he could touch. Even though what you had done before seem a lot more intimate , the kisses made your cheeks burn.
He pressed his mouth on your stomach, thighs, neck, collar bones, arm and all over your face. Your body was tired, your eyes drooping, “Go to sleep baby, I’ve got you.”
You knew he did. You trusted him, letting your mind drift away for the night, feeling the gentle brushes of Eddies lips as you did so.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
Embarrassed Kisses :
You laughed, Eddies arms around your middle, as you cooked scrambled eggs for the pair of you. “You, Eddie Munson, are a little goblin.”
“So I’ve been told,” he smiled, kissing the side of your head.
“Go wash up, food will be ready soon.”
“Yes Ma’am.”
“Weird.”
“Oh right, I’m Sir.”
“In your dreams.”
“You know it babe,” he winked, walking to the bathroom.
You stood in front of the stove, Eddies shirt and your shorts on, your skin was on show - the bruised skin. Because apparently Eddie become a vampire when you have sex.
You didn’t mind it, it just meant a lot of makeup or turtlenecks. Humming to yourself as you plated up the eggs and toast, you didn’t hear the door open.
“Morning,” a gruff voice spoke, making you jump slightly. You turned to see Wayne, taking off his shoes, “Uh hi Wayne,” you said, waving a wooden spoon in hand.
“How’s things?” he asked.
“Good.”
“Good,” he looked up from his laces, eyes widening slightly, unable to miss the large love bites littered over your neck and thighs.
“I uh … I made eggs, I was just about to get ready to go,” you said quickly, putting the spoon down. You almost ran to Eddies room grabbing your clothes and changing.
You grabbed your bag, walking down the hall to leave, but bumped into Eddie. “Well hello,” he smiled, before noticing your expression and addition of clothes.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, cupping your cheek, brown eyes full of concern. “Waynes home.”
“Yeah?”
“He saw all the … the bites. I’m just a bit embarrassed, so I think I’m gonna go. You eggs are on the counter.”
“Do you want me to drive you?”
“No it’s okay, I’ll call you later.”
“Okay. But uh just so you know, Wayne doesn’t care, he loves us both, he just wants us to be safe. I know you’re embarrassed, but it’s just a thought.”
“Thanks Eds.”
“Anytime Angel.” He leaned down to kiss your forehead, gentle and light, almost like a fairy. He did the same to your mouth.
{After you left}
“So uh you a vampire now?”
“Can we not.”
“You using protection?”
“Of course.”
“Just making sure.”
“I’m not dumb.”
“Whatever you say Dracula.”
“Wayne!”

I love you Kisses :
Lay side by side, you breathed out looking up to the beautiful night sky. Stars littered across, a crescent moon twinkling brightly, it was so lovely to look at.
“This was a good idea,” Eddie spoke from beside you. “I knew you’d like it.”
“Well I’m with you, I’d like anything.”
You rolled your eyes at your boyfriends antics, forever the flirt. You drove out to lovers lake after a long week of work. It was nice to unwind with the person you loved most.
“You remind me of the stars,” Eddie spoke.
“Huh?”
“You remind me of the stars,” he repeated.
“How so?”
“You can’t help but find them beautiful and be in awe of them, even from a billion galaxies away. I feel that way for you, I’d love you billions of galaxies away.”
“Love me?” you asked, heart thumping in your chest. “Yeah, I do, love you that is.” His face was pink, you leaned up on your elbow, smiling down at him. “I love you.”
“You do?” he questioned, almost out of breath. “I do, I love you so much.”
“I love you,” he breathed a laugh, smile breaking over his face.
His hands came to your cheeks pulling you down to meet him, lips met messily, but so lovingly. His tongue danced with yours, pulling you as close as physically possible, pouring every ounce of love and adoration into this one action.
“I love you,” he whispered against your mouth. “I love you Eddie Munson.”

part 2
Tumblr media
“Ouch! Motherlover!” You exclaimed out of the blue, breaking the silence in the room. You shook your left hand vigorously, hoping to alleviate the pain that struck your pointer finger.
After examining the injury, you gazed up at Eddie sitting on his throne. He had a look on his face that you couldn’t quite decipher. He looked slightly concerned, hearing you cry out in pain had startled him but on the other hand, it seemed as if he could burst out laughing at any second.
“Papercut.” You explained, holding up your finger so that he could see.
A smirk appeared on his face, “I figured. Looks gnarly.” Eddie’s tone was laced with sarcasm.
The two of you were currently in the drama room at Hawkins High School. Hellfire had just been slaughtered by the Cult of Vecna and was in need of a new campaign. Everyone in the club was itching to prove to not only themselves but Eddie that they were capable of outsmarting him and beating his new labyrinth of a campaign.
You weren’t Dungeon Master but, you were his best friend and a big help when it came to brainstorming. Eddie often found that whenever the two of you were riffing off of the top of each other's heads, he came up with the best ideas. So, it wasn’t unusual that you’d stay late after school to help him.
“What?” His sarcastic response didn’t go unnoticed by you.
“Nothing.” He shrugged, still smirking. Eddie peaked at you from behind his hair to see that you weren’t buying it.
You poked his arm in the same spot where his bat tattoo was permanently etched into his skin, “C’mon. What?”
If Eddie knew you half as well as he thought he did, he should’ve guessed that you would probe, “It’s just-” He paused and chuckled to himself, “Motherlover? Really Y/N.”
“What? I always say that!”
“Yeah, exactly. You always say “motherlover” He air quoted, “I mean, what’s wrong with just saying motherfucker and moving on?”
“Nothing’s wrong with swearing. It’s just not my thing.” You shrugged as you continued to scribble away in your notebook.
Even when the two of you were harebrained freshmen, ripe for the picking, Eddie can’t recall hearing you curse. He just assumed that it was because your innocence was still lively & intact.
But as time went on and your age increased, you would stay out past your curfew, unbeknownst to your parents. Or you would indulge in smoking with Eddie at his trailer. So, it wasn’t like you were some goodie-two-shoes who got on her knees every Sunday to pray and repent for her sins.
Eddie reached across the table and closed the book you were writing in. Then, he proceeded to gently snatch it away from you and slide it across the empty table. The two of you watched as it slid off the edge and smacked the floor.
“I was using that.” It would be a lie if you said you were surprised that he’d do something like that but, that’s just who Eddie is. A man that goes to great lengths to get your undivided attention.
“I call bullshit,” Eddie began, adjusting his position in his throne so that one of his legs was thrown haphazardly across the wooden arm, “Out of all of the crazy, ridiculous, rash stunts that we’ve pulled over the course of our friendship… you draw the line at swearing?”
“I mean, Henderson curses more than you and he’s like… twelve.”
“I’m pretty sure he’s fourteen,” You corrected.
“Don’t try and change the subject, princess.” Eddie deadpanned, not breaking eye contact.
Your mind flashed away from your current conversation to a dream that you had maybe three nights ago.
Eddie’s face was burrowed between your thighs, licking up your cunt before stopping at your clit and swirling his tongue, the way that drove you crazy.
Despite everything, despite your legs wrapped around his shoulders, despite his hair covering the top half of his face, he never broke eye contact with you. Not even for a second.
“You like that, princess?” He asked you before continuing to lap at your pussy.
You were instantly transported back to where you sat. In a room with Eddie. Not in his trailer sprawled out on his bed, “What have I told you about calling me Princess?” You pointed an accusatory finger at him.
He swatted it away as quickly as you lifted it, “How ‘bout this. I’ll stop when you tell me to shut the fuck up.”
You protested, “No, I’m not doing that!”
“How about shut the hell up. That’s better, right?” Eddie continued, refusing to let up.
Despite his best efforts, you still stood your ground, “Gosh, no, Eddie!”
“Alright,” He paused. You could tell by how his eyebrows were furrowed and how he mindlessly twirled his rings that he was thinking and hadn’t given up yet.
“Telling me to stick it where the sun shines?” He proposed, “It’s a step in the right direction, huh?” Eddie smiled.
At this, you didn’t even try and protest. You just shook your head and rose from your chair, walking to the end of the table and retrieving the notebook that Eddie had so kindly flung across the room.
Returning to your seat, you opened the page you’d been working on and finished your thoughts.
A few seconds passed before Eddie realized that you were intentionally ignoring him. He scoffed, “Jesus H Christ. You’re hopeless, princess.”
You swallowed, trying so hard not to go back to the deep crevices of your mind that thought of Eddie that way. He’s your best friend. Get yourself together. You told yourself.
“Don’t worry, sweetheart. We’ll get there one day.”
He used this nickname so often that it could’ve doubled as your name. But today, you couldn’t stand to have him call you anything other than Y/N. You had to change the subject or else you’d be clenching your thighs the entire drive home.
“Hey!” You whacked his hand closest to you.
“Did you ever stop to think that maybe we could’ve had the new beast for this month's campaign if you weren’t such an asshole?” Another whack, this time on his kneecap.
“One day.” He reiterated before scribbling something on a scratch sheet of paper, completely ignorant to the pool of desire he caused to form in your underwear just by simply calling you a name.
˚ · •. ° .
The entire room erupted in whoops and hollers as Frank Cotton’s dismembered body panned into the frame. Jeff stood on the edge of his loveseat while Gareth clapped at the television screen. Eddie on the other hand remained silent, focusing on the movie.
Occasionally, members of Hellfire gathered at Jeff’s house to watch a horror movie. Today, it was decided that you’d be watching Hellraiser.
This was a very different pick from your run-of-the-mill Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th. Hellraiser breached a new level of gore and Eddie was forced to step in as dungeon master and forbid the younger members of Hellfire to participate in this particular flick.
“I don’t want to be responsible for replacing your bedsheets.” He’d said when talking to Dustin, which resulted in Eddie being told off with some expletives.
Although he didn’t tell you, Eddie considered asking if you wanted to sit this one out. He remembers how nervous you looked when people started getting slaughtered left and right by Jason Voorhees. From how Gareth described it, Hellraiser made all the other movies you’d watched seem like a walk in the park.
Now, you sat next to him, squirming slightly in your seat on Jeff’s couch. Eddie turned his head to glance at you, expecting to see you looking away from the carnage on screen but, he was mistaken.
You didn’t peel away from the bloodshed. Not even for a second. He should’ve known that you’d do this. Be stubborn and stare the violence down, even if all you wanted to do was shield your eyes.
Eddie thought of a way to add fuel to the fire.
He wrapped his arm around your shoulder. As expected, you didn’t even bat an eyelash. This was something that Eddie did so often during these movies that it became second nature.
He gave you a few seconds to adjust to his arm before he inched in closer to your ear and whispered, “Are you creeped out?” Despite his devious intentions, it was a genuine question.
If Eddie got even a sense that this was starting to get too much for you, he would’ve whisked you out of there.
“Uh-uh.” You shook your head, still keeping your eyes glued to the screen.
Eddie pressed on, “Are you sure? I can tell them to turn it off… princess.” He added at the last second.
You could practically hear the smirk in his voice.
Suddenly, you became hyperaware of everything. The way Eddie’s arm was draped across your shoulder, the weight of his chest as it pressed against you, his thigh glued to yours, his breath fanning across your neck as he spoke… everything.
If this movie wasn’t going to be the death of you, he sure was.
Despite everything your body was urging you to do, you didn’t give in. You just kept a neutral look on your face and paid him no attention.
“Oh, don’t be that way,” He urged, “You’re not gonna tell me to fuck off, princess?” There was an edge to his voice.
It was no surprise that you felt wetness begin to pool in your underwear for the second time this week. Lord. If only he was aware of the things he did to me, maybe he wouldn’t do them at all.
“C’mon, Y/N. Just say one bad word, for me?” He begged. When he said this, the typical playfulness in his voice was gone, nowhere to be found.
You tore your eyes from the television, but when you looked at Eddie’s face only to see that signature Cheshire cat grin upon his face, you knew you fell for it.
All Eddie wanted was for you to give in. It wasn’t the thing he’d longed for you to do the most but, it was still something. A step in the right direction, he’d said earlier this week.
He was itching to say it again now. Instead, he opted for, “Progress, Princess. I’ll crack you soon enough.”
Just like that, Eddie turned his attention back to the movie. He left his arm draped around you but other than that, there was no indication that he’d ever interacted with you.
You gaped at him for a moment. How could he just-? Why would he-? Is he just gonna do something like that, right here, right now, and pretend like he doesn’t know the effect he has on me? You thought.
“Y/N!” A voice ripped you from your thoughts.
Gareth looked on edge, “Are you even watching? This movie cost like $15 to rent at Family Video. The least you could do is pretend you’re interested.” He scolded.
You wanted to scream. You wanted to stand on Jeff’s coffee table and yell what Eddie just did, how he riled you up only to leave you high and dry.
But what good would that do? Admitting that your best friend made you wet just by whispering in your ear?
It would just result in teasing from Jeff and Gareth– maybe even Eddie himself. You could hear him now, “Sweetheart, if I make you that hot and bothered all you have to do is use your words like a big girl, ‘kay?”
You bit your tongue, opting for the rational option. To keep watching the movie and pretending as if nothing had happened.
˚ · • . ° .
Three days later, you found yourself experiencing merciless teasing at the hands of Eddie Munson again. Well– not exactly. At least not yet but, you could feel it coming.
Even with your inhibitions low, even with a blunt laced through your fingers… you just knew.
You were currently sitting in Eddie’s bed, sharing a blunt and talking about nothing in particular while he tuned his guitar. Right now, your eyes were closed, listening to him pluck away.
You felt his bed even out and you opened your eyes and propped yourself up on your elbows, trying to see where the man was going.
He grabbed a pick that was on his desk. Your head fell back against his pillow when you realized he wasn’t going far.
As the bed dipped down, you heard a bang against the wall followed by, “Shit!” Eddie cursed.
This time, you sat all the way up, seeing Eddie grab his elbow, “I hit my funny bone.” He explained, taking another second to breathe before extending his arm in your direction, signaling for you to pass the joint.
“I think that’s enough guitar for me today.” He joked, before taking a long, deep, inhale to let the smoke enter his lungs before exhaling it all out.
“You should take a page outta my book and try not to curse.” You said, resting your head against the wall for support.
Eddie looked at you, taking another drag, “And why would I do that when it’s just so…” He searched for the right word, “Fun? Liberating?” He couldn’t decide.
“How about neither?” You challenged.
You had no idea why you started to antagonize your best friend. Maybe you just wanted to get the teasing out of the way since it’s been a little while since the last time he tried to get you to swear.
Or, maybe you were hoping it lead to somewhere else.
“You think you’re better than me, huh?” Eddie smirked, “You’ve got some superiority kink or something.”
You decided to throw him a bone, “I do have the urge to curse sometimes.”
“Oh yeah? And when is that?” He asked, interest piqued.
“When I get hurt. Like the other day in the drama room. I don’t think you realize how close I was to actually saying it.”
You extended your arm and pried the blunt from Eddie’s lips, “And stop hogging this.”
“So, you don’t wanna swear like a sailor any other time?” He inquired, not even phased that you stole his joint away from him.
Eddie decided that you could keep that one since it was almost gone anyway. He reached for his tin “lunchbox” and grabbed another pre-rolled blunt. He’d probably pinch himself later, knowing that it was supposed to be for a customer but, right now, he didn’t care.
“Not even when you’re touching yourself?” Eddie asked so nonchalantly as he fumbled with his lighter. He said it as casually as you’d ask about the weather or if someone was enjoying their meal.
If you knew he would have dropped a bombshell like that, you never would have brought it up in the first place.
“W-what?” You managed to sputter out, “Why would you even ask me something like that?”
He sighed, “Don’t tell me I struck a nerve, princess?” There he goes. With that nickname again.
Oh, you struck a nerve, alright.
“We never talk about stuff like this is all.” Your brain didn’t even know what to make out of this interaction.
“There’s no time like the present, sweetheart,” Eddie replied, staring you down, “So, what’s the answer?”
You thought about the different ways to reply. You could continue to hold out, refusing to entertain Eddie’s ideas. Or you could give in and end this cycle of desire and damp panties.
Eddie obviously got tired of waiting for you to respond and decided to throw another question into the mix, “What about when someone else touches you?”
And just when you thought things couldn’t possibly get any worse, they did.
“No.” You answered definitively.
I don’t want someone else. I want you. You thought but didn’t dare say.
“Hmm.” Eddie nodded his head at this newfound information and you let out a breath you didn’t even know you’d been holding in.
Thank God the 3rd degree was finally ove-
“So when Harrington went to town,” He started, “You weren’t itching to say anything?”
You had a brief (and I mean brief) romantic history with Steve Harrington.
During your junior year, the two of you went on one date together to the drive-in movie theater just outside of Hawkins. It was a nice experience but, you found yourself longing to be watching a different movie with Hellfire– well, Eddie.
You mentioned hanging out with Steve to Eddie once. You were shocked that he remembered it but what shocked you even more was that he assumed Steve “went to town.”
“Considering we never even got that far, no.” You admitted, thankful to put that rumor to rest, whether he’d conjured it up in his head or heard it roaming the halls.
But of course, knowing Eddie, he just had to be thorough. He asked again, just to clarify, “So Harrington never…?”
“Nope.”
Eddie took a beat, mentally taking notes. Good.
Another question popped into his mind and with him already on his second blunt of the night, he couldn’t stop himself from asking, “Has anyone ever?”
“No.”
He hummed, then took another slow drag of his blunt, making you wait in anticipation for what he was going to say next, “If it makes you feel any better, no guy at school knows anything worth a damn.”
You couldn’t hold back the scoff that passed your lips. “Right. And you do?” If Eddie could tease you, you could tease him right back.
Eddie had taken home his fair share of people after shows at The Hideout, mostly people just itching to say they’ve slept with someone in a band. He was surprised that hearing you doubt his abilities in bed stung him so much.
“As a matter of fact, I do,” He stopped, then added under his breath, “I bet I could have you screaming.”
You heard him, heard what he said… what he was alluding to. Your breath caught in your throat and you forced yourself to swallow it down. Get ahold of yourself. He’s only teasing.
Eddie didn’t intend for you to hear what he said but, would it be such a bad thing that you did?
He can’t recall the last time he looked at you as strictly his best friend. The two of you crossed borders that a typical duo wouldn’t: sleeping in each other’s beds, holding hands when a movie got a bit too scary, Eddie kissing your forehead before he left your house.
And that was just the surface level. God only knows how much the two of you had practically seeped into each other’s skin after your years of friendship.
With everything going on right now, Eddie’s inhibitions lowered, the feeling of his cock tightening in his jeans at the prospect of you two finally crossing that godforsaken line… he couldn’t stop himself.
“C’mon, princess. Don’t try and act all high and mighty now like you haven’t thought of me that way.” He started, fully expecting you to smack him on the side of the head but, you didn’t.
Eddie kept going, “Like you haven’t thought about me with my head between those pretty thighs.”
“I haven’t.” You gulped, your hand traveled up your arm and stopped at your elbow.
After knowing each other for years, it was obvious that you’d pick up on one another’s habits. Certain words that you’d coin, your favorite items of clothing… when you were lying.
The number of times you’d call your parents from Eddie’s house, claiming that the two of you were studying when in actuality you weren’t. He noticed the way you scratched your elbow while lying through your teeth.
Just like you were right now.
“Mosquito bite?” He asked, pointing out your nervous tick, “Or did you hit your funny bone too?” He smirked.
“E-Eddie,” You stuttered, “Trying to seduce me isn’t gonna get me to say a bad word.” You chuckled nervously.
“Really?” He said, unconvinced, “When have you, Y/N Y/L/N, ever backed down from a challenge?”
Suddenly, you realized how close in proximity the two of you were. For the second time in the past week, you could feel his body heat radiating from his chest.
“Y/N…” He continued in a sing-song tone, “Don’t think I didn’t notice the way you were staring at my hands while I played my guitar.”
“Were you thinking about these fingers fucking your pussy?” Eddie held up his ring-clad fingers and whispered in your ear.
“God, Eddie,” You exhaled, “Are you really taking this that far?”
This was your final attempt. It was the last time you were going to resist what your body was screaming at you to do… Let Eddie take you right here, right now, on his bed.
“Tell me to stop, Princess. Tell me to let it go and I will. Promise.” He extended his pinky finger.
You didn’t take it.
“So, is that a yes?” Eddie asked, scanning your body for any indication that you didn’t want this. That was the last thing he wanted to do, make you uncomfortable.
But with the way your chest heaved up and your thighs were pressed together, he knew.
“Mhm.” You nodded.
Eddie tutted, “Uh-uh, Sweetheart. Use your words.”
This was it. You knew once you uttered these words, your friendship with Eddie would be changed forever. It would breach uncharted territory. The thought of that should have terrified you but, it didn’t. You longed for this.
And right now, wanting his calloused fingers inside of you trumped any hesitation that could’ve formed.
“Yes.”
Smirking, Eddie moved from his seated position and climbed to the edge of the bed. He pulled your ankles with enough force so that you were lying down.
Crawling back up, Eddie hovered over you, his hair falling in your face while his hands started to unbutton your jeans, “You have no idea how badly I’ve wanted to do this, Y/N/N.”
Eddie took his sweet time. He slowly tugged down your zipper and began to peel your pants off of your body. Your hips bucked up so that he could get them past your ass and down to your ankles. He gave them a final pull before they fell onto the floor.
He returned to his position above you. Eddie maintained intense eye contact with you before cupping your clothed pussy.
“You’re so warm, Sweetheart. I bet you’re wet too, hmm?” He used his pointer finger to push your panties to the side, lightly grazing your clit in the process.
He was right. Arousal practically dripped from your pussy and right onto his bedsheets, “Fuck,” He sighed, “Is this all for me?”
“Y-yeah. All for you, Eds.” Your voice was breathy as you tried not to moan in anticipation.
He hummed approvingly before taking his hand away, letting your underwear fall right back into place.
Suddenly, his attention fell onto your neck. Eddie left a trail of kisses starting at your collar bone and kissed up to your earlobe, “Take them off for me, Princess.” He demanded.
You didn’t waste any time, using both hands to slide out of your panties. Before you could toss them aside, Eddie grabbed them from you and shoved them into his pocket, “Don’t worry, Sweetheart. I’ll give them back later.”
You felt his fingers brush the inside of your thigh, inches away from where you wanted him the most. You waited a few more seconds, trying to gauge his next move.
When his fingers kept dancing in between your thighs, you whined, “Eddie, if you’re not going to do anything-” Oh.
You felt as 3 of Eddie’s fingers slipped into your pussy. You could feel the ice-cold rings that littered his fingers brush against your inner thigh as he continued working, curling his fingers.
Eddie began to pump his fingers in and out of you, feeling your chest rise and fall. Lewd sounds and whimpers slipped past your lips when he brought his thumb to your clit and began to flick the bundle of nerves.
His cock strained against his jeans hearing you whine from underneath him, “Cat got your tongue, Princess? Don’t worry, I’ll have you screaming pretty soon.” He smirked.
Eddie increased his pace, which had your moans getting louder and louder each time his thumb circled your bud. Your eyes were snapped shut and your knuckles were white because of how hard you were gripping his bedsheets.
You felt heat begin to rise in the pit of your stomach, “I’m so close, Eds. Keep going.” You begged him.
His fingers didn’t let up as he began to slowly inch down the length of your body. Eddie used his free hand to spread your legs wider before positioning himself between them.
“You’re close, angel? Do you want to cum?” He asked.
“Mhm.” You moaned, arching your back.
“Say it.” You could feel Eddie’s breath fan across your clit.
Even in the heat of the moment, with Eddie’s fingers so furiously pounding your cunt to death, he still didn’t give up.
“Eddie. Please, just, please.” You groaned.
His fingers began to slow down. The coil that was building in your stomach began to fade away as he started to remove his fingers from your pussy.
“What are you doing?” You whimpered at the loss of contact and peered down at where Eddie was perched.
“Say it and I’ll keep going.”
Jesus. Is he really going to pull something like this? Right now out of all moments?!
Eddie could see the cogs churning in your head. He decided to make things even harder for you by placing a ginger kiss right on your clit, causing you to moan.
He’s officially won.
“Fuck! Just…” You stuttered, “Just fucking let me finish, please!” You pleaded, finally giving in after almost 2 weeks of being stubborn.
“Good girl.” He praised before hiking both of your legs up in the air and throwing them behind his shoulders.
He wasted no time, getting immediately back to work by showing your clit the most love and attention. Eddie licked a stripe up your cunt causing you to gasp.
You could feel waves of heat build-up again, followed by the coil threatening to snap as he continued to lap at your pussy.
Eddie glanced up and saw the way you were clutching his sheets for dear life. He peeled your left hand away and guided it to the back of his head. You then added your right hand into his locks without assistance, “Shit! Eddie, I’m almost there.”
You felt your orgasm approach as you began to clench around nothing and grind onto his face. The hands that were intertwined in his hair tugged on it, causing his face to angle slightly upward towards you.
As flashes of light began to cloud your vision, signaling to yourself that you finally reached your high and came all over Eddie’s sheets, you felt the bed begin to shake.
Shit, was my orgasm that powerful? You thought, highly confused.
You felt Eddie’s movements come to a stop. His head was still laid between your thighs, your fingers were still laced through his mane, pulling on it.
Holy. Shit.
You were frozen in your spot when you realized what was really happening. It wasn’t your orgasm that was so intense that caused the bed to shake, it was Eddie. Humping it. It really shouldn’t have gotten you as riled up as it did.
“Fuck, Princess. You’ve got me going feral.” He grunted, continuing to pound his mattress into oblivion.
You didn’t remove your hands from his hair as he continued to fuck his mattress. You watched, dumbfounded, and highly turned on because of this.
For almost two weeks, Eddie had been teasing you nonstop. Constantly doing things to intentionally get you turned on. You decided that it was your turn to add fuel to the fire, “Good boy.”
“Jesus. Fuck. God, I wish this mattress was you right now.” His head fell on your thigh and kissed it.
“Shit!” He swore once more, before letting out a grunt, letting you know that he had finished.
The aggressive movements came to an abrupt stop and he stood up and climbed fully into bed. He brushed away the hair that was matted to your forehead with sweat.
“That was….” Eddie sighed, flopping his head next to yours.
“Fun? Liberating?” You quoted him from earlier that night.
He scoffed, “It was, wasn’t it?”
“Fuck yeah.” You said, loud and proudly.
A grin slowly appeared on Eddie’s face. You swore, without even being provoked, “That’s my girl.” He kissed the top of your forehead.

(  NEXT CHAPTER  )
Eddie Munson sat on a lounge chair by the pool, unlit cigarette hanging by the corner of his mouth. His metal lunchbox stood by his boots, on the stoned ground. His right leg bounced up and down with quickness, his fingers fiddled with the rings on his right hand.
Strands of uncombed, curly hair fell in his face, covering a portion of his darkened eyes. He sat slouched, elbows resting on his knees.
His eyes were locked on the crowd inside the house, which could be clearly seen through the glass double doors leading to the pool.
“Man, what you dressed as?” A dull voice drew out, approaching the boy.
Eddie pursed his lips in annoyance.
From inside the house, Michael Jackson’s Beat It played loudly and unforgiving of the neighbors who might had been trying to sleep.
“Just a guy on business, man. You want something?” Eddie monotonously asked, already bored of the entire ordeal. While he was used to parties, used to the motions of attending them just to sell his stuff for an easy buck, on that particular night Eddie was annoyed.
“Yeah, lemme see how much cash I got. Hold on.”
Eddie wasn’t sure what had annoyed him exactly.
Maybe it was the simple fact that he was attending a party of ’85 graduates – he was supposed to be one of them, but fate wanted him to go through the motions of senior year for three years in a row instead of two.
Or, maybe, it was the call he’d gotten a few hours prior from The Hideout’s management, canceling his band’s performance of the week for another stupid event. It wasn’t as if missing a week of performing would realistically damage his band in any way, but Eddie hated when his plans were derailed.
But truthfully, what had annoyed Eddie Munson the most that night was seeing you in the crowd of the party, dancing to Michael Jackson with Steve Harrington – and Robin Buckley, but Eddie honestly hadn’t seen her.
Eddie grabbed his stash, opening the box with a screech of the rusted metal. “The ounce is 50.” He spoke, glancing at the jock ahead of him.
“Ah, man. How much is half?”
“25.” Eddie sniffled, the cold of the night getting to him.
As the jock dug around his pockets more, Eddie found his eyes drifting back to the crowd – back to you.
Despite there being about ten other people crammed around you, Eddie’s eyes found your shape with ease and quickness. But, to Eddie’s defense, it was hard not to spot you.
A strapped white dress laid tight over your body, its satin fabric shining slightly in the lights of the living room. A diamond diadem was on top of your head, over the now straight locks of hair. From the crown of your head, blood traced over the sides of your face, past your nose and over your lips, all the way down your neck. Some trickles of blood went into your exposed cleavage, others stained over your dress completely.
Eddie knew immediately that you were dressed as Carrie.
His eyes could only seem to focus on the way your hips swayed to the music, on your hair wildly flailing around as you moved, on the way you leaned with each beat.
Beat it, and you were leaning backwards, head thrown back, neck on display – Steve Harrington leaning forward and closer to you.
Beat it, and you leaned forward, chest down, shoulders moving, lower lip in-between your teeth, biting back a smile – Steve leaned backwards, head thrown as he laughed.
Beat it, and you leaned back again, this time laughing. It seemed as if you and Steve had an entire routine down, and Eddie couldn’t help but scoff. The way you danced was effortless and mesmerizing – but Eddie expected no less, especially since he’d seen you dance in his trailer countless times before. You had also been a cheerleader in high school, so it was not surprising that your moves managed to get the attention of everyone in the vicinity.
His eyes met yours after you’d been spun by Robin and it felt like the world ceased to spin for a moment. The song faded from both your ears, Eddie couldn’t hear the jock trying to buy half an ounce from him, you couldn’t feel Tina bumping into you on the dance floor.
Eddie wore a black hoodie with a jean vest on top. His bangs covered a portion of his eyes, along with a couple of loose strands falling out of the hood. He was brooding and he was far from you, but when your eyes met it felt as if he was breathing down your neck. Your chest tightened, your knees buckled and he didn’t tear his gaze away from you.
Sweet Dreams began playing throughout the house, its imposing bass bringing your feet back on the ground.
With his eyes on you, Eddie then rose his left hand to his shoulder, tapping it lightly with his index finger. Instinctively, you touched your own right shoulder, feeling it too bare, all of a sudden. With your thumb resting on your collar bone and the rest of your fingers gently brushing over the exposed shoulder, you realized the strap of your dress had slipped down.
Eddie smirked – a small, almost unnoticeable movement of his mouth and yet, a motion that made the apples of your cheeks to grow slightly hotter. Quickly, you pulled your dress back up, broke eye contact with Eddie and pushed your way out of the dance floor and towards the kitchen – you were in desperate need of a drink.
Steve Harrington followed you.
“Got the money, man?” Eddie mumbled, the cigarette pressing against his lips. Reaching into his back pocket, he pulled a beat-up lighter and lit his cigarette. The lighter clanked when he shut its lid.
“Yeah, yeah, right here.” The jock handed Eddie two bills – a 20 and a 5. Eddie shoved them in his pocket, then handed the blond guy a bag, no words exchanged. “Thanks, man.” The bag was snatched out of the metalhead’s hand, and the jock disappeared back inside the house.
Eddie rubbed a hand over his face, cigarette butt between his fingers. The smoke veiled his nose and burnt the back of his throat, but he didn’t mind it. He was used to it – loved it. Glancing at his watch, he tried to justify his sudden need to leave the party. He’d only been there for half an hour; it was crazy that he was already bored.
But maybe seeing you with Harrington was enough to push him over the edge.
Deep in thought, hand over his face, Eddie didn’t hear heels clanking against the pavement, approaching him with determination.
“You okay?” Your voice made him freeze. Ash from his cigarette hit the ground and he could feel his heart beats making the veins in his neck pump harder. His hard trailed down his neck as he supported his head, glancing up at you.
He scoffed. “Yeah, just, uh,” he trailed off, a bitter smile on his lips. A short sizzling sound filled the air as he took a drag out of his cigarette, blowing smoke up in the air.
“What?” Your lips parted and a chill ran down your spine. The October air was unkind to your Halloween attire, but you refused to go back inside.
Eddie raised his eyebrows comically, the corners of his mouth turned down, he shrugged. With a head shake, he looked away from you. “To what do I owe the pleasure?” He finally asked, tone condescending.
“I come with a peace offering.” You smiled softly, holding up two cans of Eddie’s favorite beer. Again, he puffed and looked away from you in disbelief. The beer was an olive branch he was unsure of grabbing, especially after what happened the last time you two spoke.
“Thought you wanted me to leave you alone.” His voice was stoic, low.
You pursed your lips, taking a slow step closer to him. “I’m sorry, I was…” you switched your weight from one foot to the other. “I was young, and stupid, and,”
“Power hungry?” Eddie bit back. “Conformist? Fake?”
You looked away, eyes pointed towards the starry sky. There was a hollow feeling in your chest, only becoming deeper as Eddie spoke. You didn’t blame Eddie for viewing you that way. From his point of view, you stopped being his friend soon after making the cheer team and becoming friends with Steve Harrington and the popular crowd.
You went from hanging out on a daily basis, to Eddie not seeing you for almost a month. You had stopped answering his calls and he was sick of your mom answering the phone and telling him some phony excuse – oh, Eddie, darling; she’s at Nancy’s, you just missed her. She’s at the Byers, poor them. She’s got cheer practice today, won’t be home ‘till late.
He was sick of it, especially because he knew it was all bullshit.
On the day you were supposed to be at practice, he saw you in town buying bear traps with Jonathan Byers and Nancy Wheeler. When he was told you were at Nancy’s, he saw you in Byers’ car late at night, driving through the town.
And then school was closed for a week due to a gas leak, and you had dropped off the face of the Earth. He sometimes drove past your house in the hope of seeing you, but your curtains were always shut, light never on. Unbeknown to him, you had spent the entire week either by Will’s side at the hospital, or with Mike, who was upset over Eleven “dying”. Being Will’s babysitter, you felt personally responsible for the boy’s disappearance. You had been with Eddie that night, at a concert in Indianapolis – how could you not feel guilty?
But Eddie didn’t know any of that, and you decided you were never going to tell him. The Upside Down, the government’s involvement – it was all too much, too dangerous. Unmarked cars had followed you for a month after the entire ordeal, secret agents watching your every move.
And you couldn’t have Eddie involved in all that.
So, you avoided him for as long as possible. You started sitting at the jock’s table with Steve and Nancy, your spot at his table remaining empty. Jonathan started driving you to school and you spent your free time in the library or at practice. You avoided his eyes at lunch and turned from him in the hallways.
You called him a freak and told him to leave you alone on the day he tried to confront you about your behavior.
“The fuck is up with you?” Eddie frowned, letting go of your arm. You backed away, heart racing.
“I just think we should just focus on our social groups and status.” You spoke after taking a deep breath. “We’re different people now, we’re not kids anymore.”
“You wanna stop being friends, is that it?” Eddie frowned, rising up to his feet. He towered over you with ease, and you straightened your back, keeping his gaze.
“Yes.”
Both your stomachs dropped at your words.
Your nose and throat stung as you watched Eddie’s gaze turn sour, his lips settling into a scowl. He had never looked at you like that, in all the years of knowing you. In his eyes, in that moment, you saw nothing but disgust.
“Fine.” He had simply said.
You gave him a sharp nod and quickly turned around, eyes focused on Jonathan waiting for you in his car. He had seen the entire interaction and watched you with concerned eyes – but he also understood. “Don’t think for one fuckin’ second I would want to be friends with the new mean, popular conformist sheep of Hawkins High, anyway!” Eddie yelled after you, his voice becoming higher and croaky.
You got into Jonathan’s car without sparing Eddie another glance, and tears spewed down your cheeks the moment you were out of the school’s parking lot.
You had managed to last two years without talking to Eddie.
Two years during which your anxiety worsened, your popularity increased and the Upside Down became more threatening.
“Yeah,” You gave a weak chuckle, eyes back on Eddie. “I guess.” Music still blared from inside. You could only focus on the way the pool lights danced over his features. He had matured since the last time you’d seen him up-close. His jaw was more defined, cheeks more sculpted.
A moment of silence passed between you two as he took another drag. There was a slit in your dress, he noticed. It allowed his eyes to wonder up your barely exposed thigh – and you watched him look.
“What changed?” He asked, eyes snapping up at yours.
The gate closed, you thought. And you missed him. But, quite frankly, you were also exhausted. Exhausted of running away from your feelings for the boy and from the anxieties of your new reality and you needed an escape.
“Suddenly gained back consciousness?” Eddie continued – which actually pissed you off. He was condescending and mean and yeah, you might have hurt him two years ago, but you did it to save him. You saved him and you suffered and he thought you were some mean, brainwashed girl.
And in that moment, your exhaustion and stubbornness overpowered your lingering feelings for your once best friend. You placed the beer cans on a small glass table by the chairs. Your arms folded to your chest, fake blood smearing off your hands and onto the white, satin dress. “I wanna buy.” You spoke, clearing your voice. “Not weed, something stronger.”
Eddie frowned.
Bending forward, he pushed the cigarette into the ground, putting it out. “No.” He spoke, looking up at you through his fringe.
Your eyes widened slightly, lips parted. “What?”
“I’m not selling you shit.”
A bitter laugh left your mouth. Your tongue ran over your bottom lip and Eddie watched your every move. “Wow, you hate me that much, huh? Did I hurt your ego so bad that you can’t let go of a fight two years later?”
With a sharp move, Eddie got up on his feet.
He towered over you with ease, despite the heels on your feet. His eyes were stoic, harsh. One step, and his chest almost touched yours. Your feet remained plastered on the ground, not being intimidated by the man in the slightest.
On the contrary, you were comforted.
His presence was something you had missed, his proximity craved. Having his cologne and smoky breath filling your senses once more was a high you didn’t know you longed for until then.
“Do you even know me, at all?” Eddie whispered, eyes studying your face. Since last seeing you, a scar appeared on the left side of your temple, your eyes darkened. Your lips got plumper, your perfume sweeter.
“Better than I know myself.” You replied, chest rising up and down with more intensity.
Eddie tutted, shaking his head. “I don’t think you do.” His tongue ran over his lips. “I think you have me confused for Harrington.” He spat, bitterly. And then his right hand cupped your face, thumb and index finger pressing into your cheeks, holding your face in place. You tried to move in annoyance, but he didn’t let you. “If I hated you, I would’ve taken you to my place, sold you my strongest shit for easy cash. But I don’t hate you, do I?” His fingers pressed harder, eyes stuck on yours. “That’s the problem, Y/L/N. I don’t hate you.” He let go of your face with quickness, taking a step back.
He bent down to pick up his lunchbox as you took in a deep breath.
“I need the drugs, Eddie.” You pleaded, watching his every move. “Don’t make me beg.”
Eddie sucked in a deep breath. “Go back to the party, Y/N.” He walked past you without a second glance, and you found yourself reaching out for him. Upon the contact he paused, back turned to you.
“Just this once, and then you’ll never see me again. Please.”
“I can’t.”
You let go of his arm, taking a step back. “Great.” You laughed bitterly. “Great. You won’t take my beer, won’t sell me drugs…I’m out of options here.”
“Y/N, what’s this about?” Eddie frowned, turning to you once again.
You laughed.
He grew worried.
“I don’t know.” You shrugged, the movement exaggerated, comical even. Your arms flailed sideways, then met in a clap. “I guess I just need something to fill the big, black hole in my chest.” You laughed again, finding the situation genuinely funny. "Drugs seem like the only option at this point, and you have 'em!"
Eddie, on the other hand, was worried. He’d never seen you like that. And while you hurt him deeply two years prior, he couldn’t stop caring about you. No matter what he did, you were always on his mind and part of him always believed you’d return to him.
He just never thought it’d be like this.
“Wanna come with me?” He found himself asking. He couldn’t tell if you were drunk, or high on something – or genuinely upset. He just knew you couldn’t be left alone in that moment.
You took his hand with no hesitation, and he walked you to his van.
Inside, you almost sunk into the seat. You had spent so much time in that seat before, that just being inside Eddie’s van felt like home. Tears stung your eyes as Eddie revved the ignition, and so you had to turn away.
Eddie didn’t know what to say.
He just couldn’t believe you were in his van again, and you were wearing the prettiest dress in the world, looking breathtakingly gorgeous.
"Sorry I'm acting crazy." You mumbled, eyes on the view outside. "I'm just a little bit overwhelmed, you know? Still mentally stuck at Starcourt."
Eddie pursed his lips. He also felt stuck there, to some extent.
Eddie had been close to the mall that night, dealing out of his van to some jock.
He watched as three firetrucks rode by, followed by around five or six ambulances. He saw the helicopters in the sky and the large, army-looking trucks passing just moments after the emergency vehicles. The jock ran to his own car and drove off, scared by the commotion, by the army presence and the weed in his possession.
Eddie, on the other hand, followed the vehicles out of nothing but morbid curiosity because – what now? What could cause such a scene in the small, quiet Hawkins, less than a year after the disappearance of the century?
Arriving at Starcourt, he couldn’t believe his eyes.
The large mall stood burning, covered in the flashing lights of emergency vehicles. There were soldiers surrounding the outskirts of the place, with firemen and paramedics rushing among them.
He saw Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan Byers getting into an ambulance, he saw a bloodied Steve Harrington clutching a blanket over his shoulders, protectively standing by someone’s side – by your side, more specifically.
You were sitting in an ambulance, feet dangling over the wet ground. Eddie remembers the feeling in his chest, the hollowness and panic that overcame him at your sight. A paramedic was checking your wounds, another placed a deep blue blanket over your shoulders. Eddie left his van with quickness, feet carrying him towards you mindlessly. His hair was dampening in the rain, his socks got wet as his sneakers stepped into puddles.
He couldn't understand what you were doing there, couldn't understand how you sustained your injuries. You looked like hell - exhausted and covered in blood.
Eddie was desperate to get to you that night, but two soldiers stopped him before he could get close. And all he could do was watch as you spoke to Joyce Byers, then burst into tears. Steve wrapped his arms around you in an instant, and you sobbed into his shoulder, hands clutching onto his shirt.
The sounds of your sobs along with the sirens and the helicopters flying up above were sounds that hunted Eddie to this day.
Back in the van with you by his side, Eddie sighed. "I get it." Was all he could mutter. "It's okay to act crazy sometimes, though." He added after a brief moment of silence.
"Is it?"
"Hell yeah. It releases tension." The boy glanced at you quickly, eyes meeting once again. He felt short of breath. "I act crazy all the time, and aren't I carefree?" Eddie joked further.
You puffed. "Very carefree." Eddie nodded. "Never angry."
"Never." He frowned jokingly, looking at you again.
You smiled.
"I might be biased, though." He spoke back up, not looking away from you. The van had stopped at a red light, so he could focus on you entirely. "You know how attracted I am to craziness."
Pursing your glossy lips, you looked down at your lap. A blush threatened to form on your cheeks as you felt Eddie's gaze on you. Time had caused you to forget just how intoxicating his gaze was, and now that you had it once again, you felt strange. Nervous.
Giddy almost.
“Do you still listen to Blondie?” He changed the subject when the light turned green.
“Yeah.” You quickly cleared your throat before turning to Eddie. “But, can I tell you a secret?” You asked, biting your lip.
Eddie glanced at you quickly, before looking back at the road. “Of course.”
“I started listening to Black Sabbath, too.”
Eddie almost crashed the car into a couple of trashcans on the side of the road. “You did not!” He exclaimed, wide eyes looking at you.
You laughed. “I did!”
“And?” He drew out, expectantly.
“And they’re not half bad.”
Eddie drummed his hands on the wheel, causing your grin to widen. He was also smiling and for a moment, it was as if nothing bad had happened between you. “Not half bad?” He exclaimed theatrically. “They’re one of the greatest bands of our generation!”
“Eh, they’re no Beatles.” You teased, head leaning back into the seat, eyes on Eddie.
“I’ll crash the car right now.” He joked, making you laugh. And he couldn’t help but allow his eyes to linger on you for a second too long because man, you were pretty. And his heart only ached, knowing that you were probably in love with Harrington and you had only talked to Eddie to get drugs.
His mood soured at the thought and he was suddenly glad your house was close to Tina’s. The drive from the party to your home hadn’t taken longer than ten minutes, and he decided this would be the last time he’d be in your vicinity. Because within ten minutes, you managed to have him wrapped around your finger again and he knew – he knew that once you sobered up the next day, you’d go back to your pristine life and forget about him again.
He couldn’t go through senior year again, again and again. It was enough that he had to repeat the damn year at school, he didn’t wanna do it emotionally as well.
"Why are we at my house?" You asked, confused.
Eddie sighed. "You're upset, and messed up. I couldn’t exactly leave you at the party.” He gripped the steering wheel as he pulled onto your driveway – something he used to do so often long before.
“Wow, thanks.” You snapped, then opened the door.
Eddie was quick to lean over you, shutting the door back up. “What the fuck?” You retorted, feeling his chest against your thighs.
“Why did you come up to me tonight?” He asked, sitting back in his spot. “Was it really just for drugs? I have to know.”
“Maybe I missed you.”
“That’s bullshit.” He puffed, rolling his eyes.
“What? Is that so hard to believe?” Your voice rose slightly.
“Uh, yeah, since you were the one who dumped me!”
“I didn’t dump you!” You grabbed a cassette off his dashboard, chucking it at the man. He dodged with ease.
“You threw me to the curb because, what? You found out Harrington was better? Popularity tasted better than being associated with the freak?” His voice boomed.
“Steve has nothing to do with this!”
Eddie laughed bitterly. “Right, go ahead, defend him.”
“You’re such an asshole.” You scoffed. “Maybe you’re right. Maybe I am messed up, since I thought talking to you would be a good idea.” And again, you turned towards the door.
“That’s right, go. Run, as always.”
Your hand froze on the handle as anger bubbled in your chest. “For the record, I don’t run. I never ran from anything in my life.”
“Yeah, only from one thing.”
It seemed as if Eddie had a firing shot for everything you said – and he did. Because the fight had been brewing for two years, along with the tension caused by unspoken words. There were many things on Eddie Munson’s mind, and he wanted to say them all. “From me.”
Another cassette flew his way.
“I didn’t run from you! I saved you!” You shouted, angry.
“From what? Having to attend your cheer competitions? Meeting your popular friends?” He shouted back, equally angry.
“Oh my God! There’s more to life than high school shit! This isn’t about social status, you asshole! I saved your fuckin’ life!” Another cassette. “Saved you from death!” Another cassette was in the air, when Eddie grabbed both your wrists into his hands.
“What are you talking about?” His face was inches from you, hair unruly from the hood that had slipped off.
The cassette fell out of your hand and onto his lap.
“I don’t wanna fight you, okay?” Your voice became quiet all of a sudden – yet, your chest still moved with quickness. “You gotta understand that all I wanted was for you to be safe.”
“Safe from what?” His hands then let go of your wrists, instead moving to hold your face, thumbs resting by the corners of your mouth. With free hands, you placed them over his wrists, overwhelmed by the proximity. "Talk to me, Y/N. Just for once, talk."
“From bad stuff, okay? Safe from life threatening stuff.”
“You’re involved in life threatening stuff?” His thumbs gently went over your bottom lip as you nodded. “You don’t have to protect me, Indiana Jones.” You let out a short laugh at his nickname, causing the inkling of a smile to thug at his own lips. “If you’re involved, I’m simply involved by association. There’s no you without me, remember? And vice versa.”
You shook your head. “Not with this. I can handle myself, but you’re just a nerd with a guitar.” You joked, sly smile on your lips.
He chuckled. “And you’re a dancer with pompons.” His eyes moved from your eyes to your lips, then back up.
“Who kicks ass.”
His eyebrows shot up. “Oh, you do?”
“Mhm. I’m sort of a…Wonder Woman out in the field.”
The right corner of his mouth turned upwards. His thumbs still stroked over your lips, pressing onto them ever so slightly. His eyes, as they traced your features, landed on a scar that stood on the left side of your temple. It had yet to heal and suddenly, Eddie felt the hidden heaviness of your words.
His mind flashed back to Starcourt, then to Hopper’s funeral for a brief moment, and he remembered the bandages on your right arm, the busted lip, the bruises and scars on your face. Most had healed by Halloween, but they still lingered on his mind.
“Tell me what’s going on.” He asked.
You shook your head, hands leaving his wrists.
“Please, I wanna help.”
You shook your head again, pulling away from his touch.
“Who hurt you last summer?” Eddie asked as his hands fell off your face.
“I can’t, Eddie.” Your voice cracked as you opened the passenger’s door. “Just, forget we talked.” You spoke as you left his van, rushing up the stairs to your house, without sparing him another glance.
And Eddie could only sit and watch you run from him again, just as you had done two years prior, after breaking your friendship.
Only this time, Eddie wasn’t going to let you go.

“Stevie, if I cut my hair would you still find me attarctive? I mean, I know how you love to run your fingers through these luscious locks.”
Steve gave Ed a perplexed stare, tucking him into his arms.
“Course baby, why wouldn’t I? Thinking bout trimming it?”
“Erm, not exactly. I took Wayne to his appointment today an’ while I waited I met this kid. He was hella cool for his age, he knew about DnD an’ even gave me ideas for the next campaign. Anywho, you know me Stevie, shit doesn’t register right away, until he left. A nurse came up to me, said thanks for making him feel normal for a bit.”
Steve gave Ed a head tilt.
“Same reaction I gave! Turns out, he’s there getting chemo, he’s.. got cancer.”
“Ooh no..” Steve choked on his words, Eddie nuzzled further into his boyfriend.
“So I kept asking questions, how I could help. I dunno maybe like volunteer or something. But she mentioned.. wigs, how that came up I can’t recall. Anywho… I have an appointment to get a hair cut, I’m donating my hair to have a kick ass wig made for him. She knows someone, sorry I.. didn’t talk to you first.. jus..”
Steve pulled away, at that moment he needed to make immediate eye contact. Cupping Ed’s cheeks he offered a tender smile.
“Stevie, angel. Why’re you crying?”
“Because Ed, you’re literally the kindest most gentle hearted soul I know and I love you so much. I love YOU! Hair or no hair! What you’re doing, it’s admirable baby.”
Eddie melted into Steve’s words, offering his own smile.
“I knew you’d be good with it, I love you.”

Listen, I love Eddie gushing over his handsome boyfriend like all and any of us, but I have some thoughts. It's still planned for my set of fanfictions, Piece by Piece, but I'm drabbling my way towards happiness here.
Steve knows he is good-looking. He knows his hair is amazing, he knows he's toned, all that. People have been complimenting him for all his life, have been jealous, but most of all, it's all they have seen. The jerk with good looks. The jock with the hair. Then the babysitter, still with the hair. Steve isn't exactly proud of his looks, it's just what it is. He's a pretty boy and that's a fact. He doesn't argue against the compliments, he has learned long ago that any insecurity on his part is considered fake modesty. But he's terrified because he knows looks don't last, he knows he isn't as active as he used to be, he knows there will be wrinkles, grey hair, saggy skin and just like the enviable body he has now, he will not have any choice in it.
When he starts dating Eddie, he can tell Eddie likes the way he looks and that's fine, that's great even, but this isn't just a fling to him, it's his endgame. Steve likes making himself look pretty for his boyfriend, leans into his touch when Eddie strokes his hair, kisses his beauty marks, but there's this insistent, unrelenting voice in his head that keeps saying: "this is all you have to offer. This is all you are and all you'll ever be." He never shares this with anyone, but he dreads the day when Eddie finds out there is nothing else to Steve than his reckless disregard for his own health and his naturally but inevitably diminishing looks.
But Eddie is observant. When he gazes into Steve's eyes and whispers "you're so beautiful it hurts," Steve's lip quivers and he closes his eyes, as if he was memorizing the moment. It's subtle, but his muscles tense. Eddie knows in that second that there is something there, something he doesn't realize yet, but he's committed to unraveling the wire wrapping Steve's heart on his own. He doesn't push and prod, he experiments.
The next time, he doesn't go for the obvious, even if he wants to sing odes to Steve's shoulders, his back, his strong hands. Steve is cooking in the kitchen, fumbling around a bit, but the smell is delicious and he looks content. His hair is still ruffled from their night together and he's humming some pop song Eddie doesn't recognize. Eddie's heart swells with fondness and he wraps his arms around Steve's waist from behind, kissing the nape of his neck. "What a sight you are," he mumbles into his shoulder. "When you smile like that, when you sing along your horrible music...you're making me realize how lucky I am all over again." He knows he said something right when Steve turns the prettiest shade of pink and starts spluttering that he's the lucky one, really, and does Eddie really enjoy his heartfelt rendition of Take On Me when pop normally makes his ears bleed? Eddie says "it's not the pop I like, it's you. It makes you happy and I love seeing you happy," and Steve just melts into his arms.
From that point onwards, he makes sure to compliment Steve's choices, not just his looks, even though he never fails to whisper exactly what Steve's body does to him in the bed. He tells him that the new shirt makes him look even more radiant, he tells Steve he loves it when he lets loose once in a while and gets silly, he swoons over his voice, praises how well he handles the kids, his effort, his style. And Steve finally opens up about his insecurities, asking whether Eddie doesn't find him boring, with how straightforward he is, how one-dimensional. "I don't care for fireworks, Steve," he tells him and strokes that beautiful head. "They're pretty, exciting, but burn out soon and probably set your house on fire. Some relationships are like that, but not with you. Being with you...it makes me feel safe. I never have to guess what you mean, you just say it. Being with you is like sitting in front of a fireplace and having all the time in the world. I want that, nothing else."
Steve smiles at him and squeezes his hand. He chews on his lip and whispers: "All the time, huh? Even when I'm gray and ugly?"
Eddie gasps, offended. "The nerve of calling my boyfriend ugly, sir! Now I have to fight you for his honor! Ready your sword, scoundrel!" He tackles Steve to the bed, laughing like a madman. When he lands on top of him, he cradles his head gently and pecks him on the lips, just once, although he wants nothing more than to get lost in his embrace. "Seriously though, Stevie. You and ugly? Never to me, no matter what. But old? Hell yeah. If I get to see you all aged like fine wine or if you become the grumpiest asshole in this town, that's a victory in my book. Because it'll mean we survived all the crap life threw at us and you'll have kept me around. What's not to love about that?"
And it seems the wire constricting Steve's heart is loosening because there are tears in his eyes and he doesn't flinch when Eddie kisses them away. "I'll be looking forward to it then," he whispers into Eddie's hair.
From then on, Steve doesn't fear new wrinkles. He celebrates them with Eddie, counting each gray hair as a small step toward their victory, as Eddie called it. And it turns out that Steve is okay being complimented on his looks after all, because when Eddie kisses his laugh lines and mentions how much he enjoys them ("these are a proof you find me hilarious, Steve! Of course I love them!"), Steve finds himself seeing his body as a map of his life, the moments with Eddie, Robin, the kids, and as his wise boyfriend once said: "What's not to love about that?"

Eddie Munson X Reader
Summary : Just Eddie being his wonderful Munson self.
Word Count : 1.2k
Tumblr media
Warnings : not proofread, cuteness, just eddie being a gross boy, kisses, swears, sexual innuendos, petnames (eddie calls reader baby/babe), just eddie being a cute goblin.
A/N : Guys! There’s now 800 of you! This is crazy, I can never thank you enough, I love you all so much 🤍
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
Eddie was strange to say the least. He really didn’t care what people thought of him, he was weird and he loved that. You loved that. However, you genuinely thought his weirdness and his ‘fuck it’ mentality would be the death of him.
These are some of those situations where Eddie was just being his wonderful Munson self.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
“Eddie come on!” you whined, tugging on the boys arm. “No I wanna try!” he argued.
“How many times, those aren’t for you to eat, stop!”
You and your boyfriend had decided to walk through the woods, just wandering. However, Eddie had seen a plant that he thought looked delicious.
“Eds it could be poisonous!”
“But what if it isn’t?”
“But what if it is?”
“We’ll never know if we don’t try!” He pulled out of your hold and ran to the bush.
Popping one of the leaves in his mouth he chewed, his face slowly changing. “How is it?” you teased.
“Tastes like dirt.”
“Who would’ve thought.”
“Yeah yeah okay, you were right.”
“What was that?”
“Oh stop being smug,” he rolled his eyes, pulling you towards him.
The boy attempted to kiss your mouth, but you turned your face, lips brushing on your cheek. “Hey!” he whined.
“I don’t want to taste the plant!”
“You’re horrible to me.”
“Tell you what Munson, you buy me a shake and I’ll kiss you.” Eddie huffed a laugh, pulling you by the hand and through the woods. “Better be the best kiss ever!”
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
Lay on Eddies bed, you were resting your eyes, the day had been long and you were so ready to sleep. Waiting for your boyfriend to get out of the shower, you were lay half on the bed, your feet still on the ground.
You heard the door creak open, Eddies stomping footsteps moving across the room. You did once tell him he was bigfoots son.
“You comfy?”
“Mhm, it’s nice.”
“Baby,” he whispered.
“What?”
“Baby.”
“Eds what?”
“Baby.”
“Munson I swear to god,” you pushed up to be sat on the bed and looked at the boy. All of him, he threw his damp towel in your face.
Cackling to himself, he walked over, shaking his soaking curls all over you. “Eddie!” you squealed. You could feel his bare skin all over you, damp and sticky.
“Get off you big lump!” you couldn’t help but laugh as the boy rubbed his wet hair all over your face. “But it’s so comfy!”
“Jesus christ at least put some pants on!”
“What you don’t wanna see my-“
“Finish that sentence and I’ll chop it off.”
“Fine fine,” giving you a wet kiss on your cheek he climbed off, giggling like a maniac.
“You are something else Edward Munson.”
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
Sat with your knees to your chest, bowl resting on them, as you munched on your cereal. You heard thumping coming from the other room, Eddie was finally awake.
You had tried to wake him up multiple times, however when that boy slept he was dead to the world. He came hoping down the hall, tugging his shoes on.
Running past you, he halted came back, kissed your head and said “Love you.”
“Wait,” you said, pulling on his shirt.
“Babe I’m gonna be late.”
“Just hang on,” you laughed, placing your cereal on the coffee table and standing up.
“Arms out,” you said.
“What? Baby, now is not the time for a quickie.”
“Your shirts backwards Munson,” you smiled, pecking his mouth, “Arms out.”
He chuckled, pulling his arms into his shirt, allowing you to turn it round, before he slid his arms back in.
“There you go.”
“Okay now I need to go.”
“No you don’t,” you said.
“It’s 9:00.”
“It’s 8:30, I put the clock back thirty minutes. So sit, eat.”
“I love you.”
“I know,” you grinned.
“Maybe we do have time.”
“Time for what?”
The boy smirked, tugging you into his arms and throwing you over his shoulder. He took your cereal bowl in the other hand, drinking the milk before dropping it in the sink and running to the bedroom.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
You were walking down the hall, you’d had a free period so decided to swap your books in your locker for your next class. You’d almost made it when someone put their arms around your waist and dragged you backwards.
You screamed as you were lifted from the ground, the door being kicked closed. You began swinging your legs when a familiar voice came, “Chill! Baby it’s me.”
Eddie let go of you putting you down, “You are such an arsehole!” you smacked him with each word. “It was funny baby you have to admit.”
“You gave me a heart attack! You horrible boy.” He pouted at that, putting his hands on your face gently, “I’m sorry.”
“No, no puppy eyes. You really scared me.”
“Please forgive me,” he said, kissing your cheek softly. “It was real mean Eds.”
“I know I’m sorry,” he kept pecking your cheek, even going to your neck.
“Eds,” you sighed.
“Forgive me,” he whispered.
“Horrible boy.”
“I know, but you love me.”
“I do.”
“Forgive me?”
“Of course.” You could feel his grin against your neck, “Don’t you dare.” It was too late, he blew a raspberry against your neck, leaving it covered with his saliva. “You’re so gross!”
“Oh am I?” he laughed, licking your cheek.
“Get off me you little goblin!” you squealed.
“Let me love you!”
“No!” you couldn’t help but laugh as you ran from him.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
You were attempting to do homework, attempting being the key word here. It was near impossible to focus on something when Eddie was around, because of course he always wanted your attention.
You felt a light tug on your hair, “Stop,” you said. You felt his hand leave your hair, leaving you to read something in your text book and take notes, but soon enough another tug came. It was harder this time.
“Munson.”
“What?”
“Stop it.”
“‘m not doing anything.”
“Sure you aren’t.”
Another few minutes passed, then another tug, you slammed the book shut. “Okay I’ll bite you little demon, what do you want?” you turned to the boy, seeing him lay on the bed, smile on his lips.
“Cuddles.”
“I don’t think you deserve them honestly.”
“I do!” he whined.
“No.”
“Baby please, I just … I need some attention please,” he pouted.
“God it’s a good thing you’re cute.” A full grin broke out on his face as you put your textbook on the floor, laying down beside him.
“Can I have scritches please?” he whispered. You opened your arms and the boy moved quickly, one arm wrapping around your waist, face nuzzling into your neck, leaving soft kisses.
You hand tangled in his curls, gently scratching his head. The boy almost purred at the feeling, snuggling in closer. “I love you,” he said softly.
“I love you too silly boy.”
And it was true, although he was strange and weird and a freak or whatever else people called him, you loved him. More than anything.
