Maybe someday I'll recycle an idea for an oc I had once in a different fandom... Make it Steddie.
A mad scientist's creation, a monster that's oversized blue ringed octopus from the waist down and scarred human from the waist up, feral at first and weaponized in the sense that: they wake up, are found and attacked because they're a dangerous monster, they defend themselves to the point of killing all their attackers, and though they can regenerate it requires a lot of energy. So, practically blinded by pain, they consume all the bodies and hole up somewhere to hibernate and heal. Rinse and repeat.
I just. Can't decide which of them it would be? Eddie is an obvious choice, since he would be presumed dead after fighting Vecna, and town gossip has already put him in the role of monster anyway. But I love the fanon trope of Eddie reading to Steve, and that would work much better here if Steve is the feral one who hasn't needed to read for so long that he's mostly forgotten how, abandoned in the dark as he is.
Either way, blue ringed octopi are incredibly venomous and there'd have to be some sort of workaround for that. Their salivary glands harbor dense colonies of TTX-producing bacteria, so... maybe some sort of anti-bacterial treatment.
... Anyway, just thinking out loud. My in-laws are about to land in town, gonna be a long weekend.

I dont know how people can deny Eddie would gain weight as he got older, nearly every metal head I know has gone from a bean pole in their 20's to fat in their 40's+ give my man the jack black treatment make him FAT AND HOT

Steve gets Eddie into those ridiculous, smutty romance novels? The ones that even if they're bad, they're good. Have you considered Steve getting Eddie into the Indy 500? NASCAR? What about cooking shows? Cheesy soap operas where Steve literally knows every insane storyline by memory?

Nancy goes off to college and she and Robin write letters back and forth. Gradually, Nancy starts to notice things like bright fingerprints (think Dorito or Cheeto dust) and other drips and smears on the paper, sometimes even a few crumbs folded up and still rattling around in the envelope. Nothing super messy, just... evidence of something.
We all know how much Nancy likes a mystery.
