Outcaste Nakshatras: The Outsiders (part 3)

Here's part 1 and part 2

The more I study Mleccha nakshatra natives and the art they make, the more I understand how deeply lonely it is to have a Mleccha nak (Bharani, Ashlesha, Vishaka, Shravana) and I really feel for them. To live your whole life feeling misunderstood and othered is so difficult.

The movie Edward Scissorhands is a really good example of the "outcast" trope. The titular character is played by Johnny Depp who has Ashlesha Rising and his love interest is played by Winona Ryder who has Mercury (amatyakaraka) & Venus (atmakaraka) in Vishaka

I find Outcaste nak pairing very interesting because obviously you only feel like you belong/truly feel accepted in the presence of another Outcast.

Sidharth Malhotra, Vishaka Moon is married to Kiara Advani, who has Mercury & Venus (atmakaraka) in Ashlesha (if you have 2 or more planets in the same nak that energy is very concentrated even if its not your big 3)

they're both known for being pretty low-key people which is unusual in Bollywood lmao

Sid is an "outsider" which is what we call non-nepo actors in India. imagine the extent of nepotism in cinema in India that its the exception to be an "outsider"lmao. anyway Sid is pretty reserved and introverted and is known for not fitting in with the Bollywood crowd. Kiara is also kinda like that I guess but idk too much about her personality. They both seem happy together tho

Kareena Kapoor, Shravana Moon is married to Saif Ali Khan, Ashlesha Sun & Shravana Moon

Kareena's parents are famous actors who are separated (her dad was misogynistic and abusive and didn't want women to act) and even tho she's a nepo baby she didn't grow up with the same privileges as others in her famous family. Her elder sister had to drop out of school to support the family by acting as they were raised by a single mom and had fallen on bad times. You can see how the "outcast" themes were present in Kareena's life even though she's a very privileged nepo baby

Saif is also a nepo baby (welcome to bollywood lol) but he married a much older actress when he was 21 and had two kids. they later got divorced and Saif received a ton of bad press for alleged adultery, not getting custody or visitation rights of the kids, not paying child support (the amount was absurdly high tbh) etc he didn't fit in with the other actors of his generation. The media & public went crazy when news of Saif & Kareena getting married came out bc Saif is a divorcee with 2 kids (this stuff is still taboo in India unfortunately) and Kareena is one of the most successful stars of her generation. But they've been married for 10+ yrs and have 2 kids and are as happy as ever.

Even Kareena's longterm ex-boyfriend, Shahid Kapoor was a Mleccha caste nak guy (he has Vishaka Moon)

Expanding on the outcast tropes, Shahid's parents separated when he was young and he saw little of his biological father. He had to work very hard for very long to break into the industry and even now, he's not really given his due as an actor.

Alia Bhatt, Shravana Rising is married to Ranbir Kapoor, Shravana Moon

their marriage seems hella toxic to me ngl BUT they've both had similar childhoods.

Alia & Ranbir are both nepo babies (welcome to bollywood), Alia is like a tier 3 nepo (her father is a notoriously controversial filmmaker) whilst Ranbir is like a tier 1 nepo (he is a 4th generation actor from the biggest film family in India) however both their parents had unhappy marriages, and both of them had abusive fathers. trauma bonding, mayhaps? they're both also extremely close to their mothers as well (Moon dominant people often tend to be)

Its another example of Outcaste naks bonding over their shared experiences/feelings of being the outcast.

all members of Blackpink have an Outcaste nakshatra in their chart that is prominent in some way.

Jisoo- Shravana Moon, Venus in Vishaka (darakaraka), Ketu in Bharani

Rose- Venus conjunct Jupiter (debilitated) in Shravana

Jennie- Vishaka Moon, Mars in Shravana

Lisa- Jupiter in Shravana (debilitated), Swati Moon (Swati is a Shudra nak, which is the lowest caste so the themes are similar to that of outcaste naks)

This is interesting to me because BP is the biggest girl group of all time yet they are also probably disproportionately hated for things they cant even control. they were mismanaged by a shitty ass company with very few comebacks and barely got to display their true calibre as artists and their media interactions, promos, other activities etc were severely controlled and restricted. all of this is to say that despite being the most successful group their actual experiences are far from sunshine and roses. they were treated like outcasts by their company and the industry and fans. they trained for 4-6 years, enduring a brutal and toxic system, worked very hard with what they were given, with 0 creative liberty to come this far im glad theyre pursuing solo careers now and hope to see them thrive<333

the movie Lost in Translation is a good example of two outcasts/lonely people who find comfort in each other

Bill Murray is Shravana Moon and Scarlett Johansson is Vishaka Moon

Sridevi, Ashlesha Sun & Rising and Boney Kapoor, Vishaka Sun & Mercury

So they had a really fcked up marriage that I won't get into but they were both people who felt like outcasts in their lives. Sridevi grew up with a stepfather and was pushed into acting by her mother when she was 3-4 years old (she's like an Indian Judy Garland tbh) who deprived her of formal education and a normal life so that she'd be the family cash cow. Being South Indian, she also found it hard to fit in among Bollywood folks as she initially spoke neither Hindi nor English. Boney's the ugly duckling of his family and his younger brother is one of the most famous/iconic actors ever, he had to become a movie producer since his brothers became actors and his father (who was a movie producer) thought it would be better if he stayed behind the scenes. themes of exclusion and outcast-ness crop up in their lives and in the lives of all the people I mention here.

Lady Bird is a good example of a movie about a female teenage outcast. The titular character is played by Saoirse Ronan, who has Bharani Moon

Recently I came across the content creator, Alana Lintao who often makes shorts about social behaviour. This one in particular stood out to me because its literally about one person being excluded by a group of friends or being treated like "the other".

Alana plays the excluded friend in this short as well. She has Bharani Sun, Swati Moon and Mercury in Revati amatyakaraka (Swati & Revati are both Shudra naks)

Outcaste naks are vilified and crucified for mistakes others get away with.

Janet Jackson, Vishaka Rising & Ketu

Janet's career took a hit and her life took a tumultuous turn after the Superbowl incident. She did not deserve all the vitriol she received then especially considering how so many others get away with wayyy worse

Jennie, Vishaka Moon gets hated on for absolutely nothing

Lana does say dumb things from time to time but she gets soooo much unnecessary hate

I have noticed how Outcaste nakshatras often tend to have really difficult childhood experiences

Jeanette McCurdy- Ardra sun, Bharani Moon & Pushya Rising

Jeanette opens up about her abusive mother and terrible childhood in her memoir. I mention her other placements as well because I've noticed that both Ardra & Pushya natives also experience abuse in their early lives

Britney Spears, Shravana Moon

she has endured so much abuse from so many people including her family. i wish her peace.

Wheein, Vishaka Moon grew up with a single mother and later after she made her debut her estranged father tried to borrow money from people under her name?? there was a minor scandal about it many years ago. She also grew up quite lower middle class if not poor.

David Bowie, Shravana Rising

Bowie once said, "“It wasn’t a particularly happy childhood, my parents were cold emotionally. There weren’t many hugs. I always craved affection because of that.”

Cole & Dylan Sprouse, Ashlesha Sun

Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, he explained that their mother's issues with mental health and addiction contributed to her being "financially the most irresponsible woman ever." He said that when their dad was given forced custody when the boys were 10, their mom had already spent everything they'd earned from their early acting jobs. Though their dad wanted them to be "normal kids," he ultimately decided that the boys' acting careers were a financial necessity.

Ariel Winter, Shravana Sun

Ariel Winter has spoken out about how acting wasn't her choice, but it was her mother's. Ariel shared that her mother, Crystal Workman, had dreams of being an actor herself. Ariel said that with Crystal as her stage mom, she dealt with a lot of abuse and exploitation.

Once Ariel's acting career began, she said her mom put her on a strict diet and neglected her education. Her mother also had her dress in outfits that sexualized her. Ariel claimed her mom put her in “the smallest miniskirts, sailor suits, low-cut things, the shortest dresses you’ve ever seen. People thought I was 24 when I was 12. If there was going to be a nude scene when I was that age, my mother would have a thousand percent said yes.”

Now Bollywood is an industry run by film dynasties, its very rare for someone from the outside to break in and make it big. Being an "Outsider" is very difficult, people bully you, try to sabotage your career, try to isolate you etc etc, needless to say its not for the faint of heart. So lets take a look at some of the most successful "Outsiders" in Bollywood who made it big without any family in the business

ofc we have to start with the most successful outsider of all time, Shahrukh Khan, Shravana Moon

he truly came from nothing (father died when he was a teenager, mother died before he made his debut, has a sister with special needs who he has taken care of his entire life) and became the biggest star in the world.

Akshay Kumar, Vishaka Moon, he was a martial artist, chef, waiter and worked numerous odd jobs before he started modelling in his late 20s and later started acting and today he has a net worth of $340 million

Anushka Sharma, Bharani Sun

her life is truly a case of being lucky af, she was a model and by the age of 19-20 she was cast in a film opposite Shahrukh Khan aka the biggest actor in the country produced by YRF, one of the biggest film production companies in India. its truly a fairy tale because neither can Anushka act nor is she gifted in any other way (bad dancer, heck she was even an awful model) but she's incredibly successful in every way and is now married to the (former) Captain of the Indian cricket team

Deepika Padukone, Shravana Rising

she is from a privileged background (her dad's a renowned badminton player) but she worked very very hard to get where she is today and has had more career longevity than just about any other actress.

Bipasha Basu & John Abraham, Bharani Moon

they were both a hot couple who were really popular in the 2000s

there are many other successful Outsiders but they don't have outcaste naks lol, these are the only ones i can think of rn :/

don’t get me wrong mihawk is a awesome father. He seems like a very responsible man and that he would not leave you out in the cold at the cost of his own life. He spoils you just as equally as boa does and although he’s not the most trusting man on earth, he wouldn’t dare break the bond you two have when he can’t replace it with your actual mother. At this point not that you wanted to.

Never meeting your mom may have taken a toll on your mental health at first, but not to worry! Awesome aunt boa to the rescue!!

The chances of you meeting boa we’re actually very slim, whether you know it or not. As I said Mihawk doesn’t easily trust plus you probably met at a warlord meeting where he has to take you along for one reason or another.

You saw boa and naturally, thought she was very pretty. Mihawk is rather reserved too so you probably don’t see people often in general (til you get older). Therefore, seeing such a ethereal woman made you instantly admire her. You immediately wanted to get to know her—and, luckily for you, she took an interest in the girl who’s mihawk’s daughter!

now idk what you did but she started the conversation, and whatever you replied made her think you weren’t so bad! You two chatted some more and after figuring out you had no mother figure she took it upon herself to raise a cute girl such as yourself to be a good woman. She didn’t exactly want to be viewed as your mother..that would relate her too closely to mihawk, a man, for her liking. So! She’ll be the cool and classy wine aunt instead! 🍷💋

you love your dad, he does his best to raise you as a single father and pirate/warlord/worlds best swordsman. And you truly do appreciate him! But when Boa bashes him for being a man her insults are low key so funny you can’t help but laugh 🗿 (hc that Boa would be good at roasting people on the spot :3)

boa being the coolest aunt she is, she takes you to lavish places (that she rented so she wouldn’t have to bear being in the presence of those indisputable critters society calls men), gets you the most high quality makeup (that her tribe handcrafts—yes they make they’re own it’s a hc of mine), does monthly over the phone (in person when you can) mental check ins (because you love your dad but again, he’s a man, and there’s some things about women men won’t get—vice versa too of course <3)

womanly hour!~ well more like hours, you spend the whole day with boa whenever you can, she’s makes a magnificent aunt and literally never says no to you. She’s like to you how she is to luffy but less delusional platonic <3 you two go shopping and pick out clothes together, her tribe of course also gifts you all the cute clothes you could ever want (again, handcrafted) because boa adores you and they adore boa!—which means they adore you! 💕 You and the Kuja 100% get along and see eye to eye on how spectacular Hancock-Sama is~ 🥰

when your older you probably go over to visit her more often and maybe even on your own! Mihawk trusts that by then he’s trained you enough, plus i think he would have his certain set of rules but not be too strict of a dad.

teaching you how to be a proper woman with Boa 101 ;} only if you want to tho! She’ll ensure your not out here acting like some monkey—surely your not! (unless you are 🤷‍♀️) Still, she teaches you basic lady manners. :) More than anything she knows women is NOT the problem, so instead of going “keep your legs closed ☝️🤓” she says “If a man looks at you lower than your stomach, kick him in that area 😉😘” - Boa Hancock (the woman we trust💪)

AND you already know she’s gonna teach you how to kick as hard a she can 😤😮‍💨👌 which ngl by the time your older your sure to be a master in many Haki’s. You may even have conquer’s 🤷‍♀️ I wouldn’t doubt it you got Mihawk blood in you :P

Growing up Boa has constantly been warning you of men and they’re vile ways. When you become of age she’ll tell you what happened to her (that’s how much she trusts you 💗💗) and you’ll know what she means right away. She will always look out for you but gives you tips on things just in case, and if you ever feel unsafe, don’t hesitate to call her or take a trip to the island of women! The entirety of the Kuja tribe will lay down they’re lives in an instant for Hancock-sama’s lovable little niece <33

I’ve been mentioning this throughout but her taking you to the island of women definitely happens. You love it there and everyone loves you. You have so many Aunts and sisters there it’s not even funny. 😃 You adore each and everyone of them though, just as they do you. You get only the finest of treatment from them and you might as well be one of the Boa sisters. You get all you can eat premium food, the most elegant clothes tailored to your exact size and tastes, you even have your very OWN room in the Palace! The Boa sisters/the Kuja tribe teaches you the kuja tribe/survival skills personally. They start with bow and arrow and eventually moving on to haki and hand to hand combat. Now, Mihawk might have already covered this but they’re going over it again 😄 why? He might’ve missed something! He’s a man! (Btw the Kuja girls 100% ask you questions about men no holding back) Anywho, I’m sure you’d do it again even if you know it already because 1) practice 😋 and 2) who wouldn’t want to spend more time with the Kuja pirates?!

• I’ve noticed that the older siblings tend to have Water/Air mix in their big 3! E.g. Rebbie Jackson is a Gemini sun with Scorpio moon, Olympia Sylvers is a Libra sun with Pisces moon, Bunny DeBarge is a Pisces sun with Libra moon, etc…

• The second borns tend to be fire moons! E.g. Jackie Jackson is an Aries moon, Leon Sylvers and Bobby DeBarge are Sagittarius moons.

• The youngest tend to have Water/Earth in their big 3. E.g. Janet Jackson is a Taurus sun/Scorpio rising, Foster Sylvers is a Pisces sun with Scorpio Moon, Carol&Darell DeBarge are Cancer moons.

♡Weekly Chronicles♡

Hey babes! I've missed you guysss I am so happy I had an amazing trip it was so nice. I went to a convention in Maryland for 5 days it was so nice. I definitely left with a lot of knowledge so many amazing people spoke at the lectures<3 and I'm sorry I missed the weekly affirmations for this week.

♡Education♡

I applied for all my classes for next semester before my trip. I’m low-key excited about the classes I have coming up. Lot of different courses since I'm almost done with my major required classes now I need to fill the rest of my credits with electives. I have an art class next semester just for fun. I can't wait to meet the people in my classes. I have to take this math class I am not excited for at all I hate math lol so every time I update you girliesss on this class I'll probably be complaining lol.

♡Mental♡

Interacting with different people this past week has been very good for me mentally. It brought me back to pre-quarantine Khadija who was such a big extrovert. After covid, I started to have mild social anxiety so this was needed. I dealt with a little insecurities while on my trip interacting with so many beautiful women I started to doubt my looks comparison is the thief of joy, I practiced a lot of the methods my therapist recommended like canceling one negative thought with two positive thoughts. I realized I was all in my head for no reason. I love watching Leo Skepi when I am feeling this way he always gets me together. I highly recommend him if you are dealing with a lack of discipline, self-confidence, or just need someone to get you together with tough love he is that guyyy. Side noteee I missed my antidepressant dose twice in a row because of traveling back to New York and it low-key made me hazy like it was super weird but I took it today.

♡Physical♡

While I was away I ate super bad! The event was an African-focused event so the food there wasn’t healthy at all. I was going to stick to my diet while on my trip but I decided I'm on a trip let me relax and I don't regret it at all. But I am seeing the consequences of my food choices now I am soooo bloated lol. So I am starting a cleanse tomorrow for the next 14 days I already prepped my ginger shot for the morning I want to flush my system out completely going into the new year. I don't recommend cleanses especially to my babes that have dealt with ED’s always consult your doctors before starting anything. I just do what works for me.

♡Hobbies♡

Now that I am back I can get back to being consistent with my Italian, pilates, and weight lifting. I was so sad I could not lift I feel like I'm low-key obsessed with lifting lol it feels so good and I've been seeing results, especially in my lower body. While I was gone I didn't have any time to do my hobbies they had us in lectures and events constantly. I practiced my Italian once which I'm happy about. I plan on starting jewelry making next week I'm super excited it was one of my favorite hobbies when I was in middle school. I used to make earrings and bracelets.

♡Plans For The Weekend♡

My birthday is Sunday, December 31st! I am turning 21 yay! I am super excited I don't have anything planned for my birthday. I am going to have a mini celebration with my family and watch the ball drop my siblings bought me presents so I'm excited to open everything. I'm starting my cleanse so I'll be working out and taking good care of my body internally and externally so I'll be off social media this weekend and focused on my mental and physical health. I plan on creating my vision board and listing my goals this year. My dad is ordering my camera I used to have a YouTube channel but I took a break to work on my self-improvement journey I do plan on getting back on my YouTube grind soon lol so look out for that coming out in 2024!

Oh thank you for this. They’re my childhood OTP so I do have a lottttt to say. Sommeliershipping permanently doomed me to only enjoy rivals to lovers dynamics

1. What made you ship it?

First off they are constantly touching each others chests MY GOD. Not to mention how often they get up in each others faces holy shit.

That is ZOKE levels of closeness. Jesus

I think you have to be dumb to not see why people ship it. Also that whole “need to be dominated” scene with dawn, then jo shows up right after that and bosses him around. COME ON. Then the rest of that scene and how it played out. Him poking her chest and then she pushes him away in a way that’s like “oh I’ll show you who’s boss.” Squat thruster ‼️‼️‼️ (why did she do that) Plus she seems to have genuine respect for him which is really nice. She’s given him the most nicknames out of everyone too.

Also 2/5 of bricks confessionals are about jo. The other three times he’s just talking about himself. I thought that’d be fun to mention. Jo wants to feel good about herself and brick wants to be a fashion designer and he can make her cute clothes i think.

I am never going to let anyone ever forget about that “maybe brick and jo wanna kiss and make up?” line UGHHH. Even Chris low key shipped it. There’s just sooo much to them. Also comedy potential with lightning thinking Jo’s a gay twink the whole time and idk maybe there could be something with jock and lightning. I’m convinced at least a few animators shipped them.

Just WIWJWJEN there’s so so so much. She’s the only person who convinced him to go against his code. That man is devoted. And then when she pulled him out of that grave and there was music playing and they zoomed in on them holding hands.. I initially shipped them because when I was younger I was looking for fanart and came across a fake screenshot of them kissing and 9 year old me beloved it was real 🥲 you can imagine my disappointment when they didn’t end up smooching. In the finale they’re constantly next to each other too. There’s way too much going on between them, I also take Jo’s dream about letting a guy win because she found him ‘attractive’ as a jock crumb. + they have a good ship name.

That rock climbing scene where brick talks about his rock wall climbing badge or something and jo seems genuinely impressed for a moment, then he goes on and says how he dislocated his hip and jo is like “oh never mind he’s weird.” LMAOOO. Brick really wanted to show off there huh. They’re both so fucking stupid iwhwnsnens

2. What are your favorite things about this ship?

Basically everything I mentioned before. Bricks “need to be dominated” basically confirms that jo would be his type, what can I say. And he calls her ma’am, and is just generally very respectful even when she gets under his skin. I really really love how jo tries to get under his skin, it’s so fun. And brick is slowly losing his mind. Also he didn’t vote for her in ep7, he voted for lightning, and we know that because jo got her marshmallow first, meaning lightning got one vote from brick. That is soo. Yeah. He probably would feel bad if he voted for her. He probably didn’t vote for her in ep4 either.

And he breaks his code for her. Like, his entire thing is never leave a man behind, and jo convinces him to leave everyone behind. And that causes his first elimination but MANNNNN…. He really really respects her. And I really like women who bully their boyfriends, it’s so fun. There’s probably so much more that I could say about them that I forgot to add.

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

When people write their platonic dynamic in fanfics is always so. Meh. They treat it like she just harasses him but he views her as an equal, and she sees him as a competitor she can actually have banter with. Also please stop calling them mlm/wlw solidarity. I’m not saying that because I ship them but because she has made it her life goal to make his as miserable as possible. HOSTILITY.

I’ll make my own analysis on their rivalry, not to be shippy but so people just understand how they interact because a lot of people don’t get it.

Jock is very very special to me. The only way I can enjoy m/f ships is if they’re fighting 24/7. It’s awesome. Plus he’s also the only man I can ship with Jo tbh. Other m/f Jo ships make me like ehhhhh I dunno

Move in silence 🤫

2024 I’m moving in silence period. Too many losers and leeches who won’t do the work and hate on your success. I recently had job interview and didn’t tell everyone. I won’t know if I got the job till Tuesday or Wednesday.

People tell they plans cause they seek validation and approval from others. At 31 I don’t need people validation or approval. What people don’t know they can’t destroy. I had so many women hating on me cause I refuse to be mediocre. I hold myself accountable and dont point finger or blame others for shit I should be doing.

Some people addicted to they bad habits and bare minimum. At 31 I realized I needed go harder and less excuses. And I’m blossoming into a baddie. I dont care to know what others doing cause I’m to busy worrying about myself. Stop telling your business and ruining your life cause you are naïve about how most people think. Majority of people are losers. Only 1 % of people are winners.

People you call friends should have goals and productive and letting go bad habits, and holding themselves accountable and showing action and not just words. Who don’t gossip about people cause they too busy improving their lives. Who gives you what you give them. Who never drains you and doesn’t play the blame game. I agree and believe you are who you hang out with seriously. Stop hanging and associating with women who are losers and accepts bare minimum and low maintenance and don’t take accountability for themselves and low standards. She will hate on you and backstab you.

2024 I’m focused on myself and my goals. And learning consistency, discipline, dedication, commitment, and determination. I will be having success stories left to right. Most will not know my blessings cause I don’t believe in bragging and most will hate your success. If you gone tell make sure you accomplish the goal first and then tell. But never tell when you are planning and working for the goal. Cause once you accomplish a goal and they hate thei can’t do shit cause you already accomplished the goal.

I will be doing a video on this for my YouTube channel and explaining this with words from spirit and ancestors. 2024 my year. I refuse to be who I was in 2023. Im so happy since 18 I been in therapy and focus on improving myself. It’s been years and I’m finally reaping the benefits of therapy at 31. More black women should go to therapy and heal and do better.

Spirit and ancestors is all I need. I can do bad all by myself I don’t need another human being approval or validation period. Im too much of a bad bitch to care about others approval and validation. I hold and have the key to success and truth is some people can’t go to the promised land with you. We would accomplish more if we got rid of people who are dead weight. I know my worth and is a beautiful and intelligent and hardworking and well put together bad bitch. And stand out and rather hang by myself then fake people.

Got my 3 new wigs. Will try do quick review. Got Chinese food today. And worked out twice today. And did good at job interview. And busy working on my goals everyday. My goal is week of intermittent fasting 16:8. And gym once this week. Really need be stricter and actually go gym and interment fast 16:8. If I have more updates I all update y’all. Happy isn't really one of my better known fics (that I'm aware of, anyway), and if I was the type of person who was able to consistently work on long fics I could have made a good one with this concept but like..... lowkey the overarching summary vibe kinda works for me

All Good Things Same thing- not one of my more popular fics, but I love this one. It explores the dynamics of the cult vs hope county locals a bit, is soft with Jacob and Shiloh hedging around each other. I know most people are for the raunchy porn and I gladly deliver but sometimes I want my soft shit

Better Late Than Never Same as above, but Jacob deserves a nap and the family he always wanted. This man absolutely had aspirations of breaking the cycle and the way he continues to perpetuate it via the trials is something that I just cannot shake.

Quality Over Quantity This one was just unfettered filth. My thought process was "Jacob would probably have some weird breeding shit going on with the Chosen right???? He treats people like cattle there's no way this is where he draws the line." Low key could gone either way because I don't actually recall any female chosen in game so like..... either few female chosen being hunted by a gaggle of dudes or like....a hoard of women hand picked and sequestered away solely for- ANYWAY I'M A GODLESS WHORE

What You Want** This is a lesson in why I don't write multi-parters other than one shots and the occasional sequel (See: Late Bloomer). It took 3 (!!!!) years to write this shit lmfao Scratches the same itches as Late Bloomer but also has Jacob-esque mind fuckery directed @ the Deputy CC coded tbh, and just all around a darker vibe which I love.

Mikey is psychology. He’s already Dr. Delicate touch and Dr. Feelings. He enjoys that sort of thing.

Leo is medicine. He would probably become a trauma surgeon. He and Mikey would constantly call each other Dr. Hamato in front of their family. Being the cheeky younger siblings they are.

Donnie double major is physics and nuclear engineering. He also ends up getting his PhD. (There are now 3 Dr. Hamato’s in the house) anything to get his hands on uranium.

Raph is hard. I think Raph would do really well as a preschool or kindergarten teacher. He loves little kids and he’s so big but so soft. I think he’d have a great time in that. That or social work. He defiantly has the strength to go into bad home situations and get people to their best and safest environment. Who’s going to look at Raph and tell him no? I can see him working with abused kids or women and working to get them to safe places while also being this hulking mass of muscle no abuser would come close to. At the end of the day Raph is helping people.

April is journalism. She uses her degree to try at turn public sediment in favor of mutants and yokai. Using her influence and connections to make the world more accepting of her family.

Cassie is business or marketing. The girl already owns and manages a brownie empire. She learned from and ancient cult and a movie star. Girl knows how to lead. I think she low key still has an active plan for world domination she’s just waiting on the go from her family.

Casey goes for English or art. I can see him writing books about the Krang invasion. For him it’s a way to processing what he lived through and remembering those he lost. For the rest of the world it is the darkest young adult novel to come out in a while. It’s super popular and Casey kinda hates it. But also there are people drawling what they think his Sensei and him looked like together, and it’s not right, at all, but it still feels like home. People are remembering and carrying about people only he remembers and that means everything to him.

12. what's some good advice you want to share?

this is particularly for college students, so it may not apply to some of you. BUT college is something a lot of people struggle through! anyways. if you're attending a class that is content-heavy, highly recommend reading through your textbook to take notes before/after class, not DURING the class when the instructor is teaching. a huge part of learning, for me, is listening. i can't take notes at the same time i listen and still listen effectively. devote your entire self to listening, don't let yourself be distracted by trying to rush and get all the notes down before the instructor moves on. if need be, get a page of paper out for class to jot down any key ideas the instructor goes over. also. if your class uses an online service (@pearson) that allows you to do an assignment over and over until you get 100%, do it. for my math class i don't move on from a question until i get it right. this isn't for memorization per say, but for the POINTS. i'm not a good test taker, and last semester having 100% on all of my homework from not moving on until each question is complete SAVED MY ASS. this means sometimes homework takes longer, but as someone who does horrible during tests it genuinely saved me.

24. what's one thing you're proud of yourself for?

turning out all right. i grew up in a shitty situation with both my parents being various degrees of absent. i won't talk about my home enviroment, but it's something i will never forgive my parents for. i was extremely anti-social and sensitive as a result of my home life, and my mental health was extremely damaging when i was in middle school and part of high school. that being said: i turned out all right. i'm okay. i'm a good person despite it. i struggle, still, but despite everything i am still alive and am good. :)

Becoming Elizabeth-critical view, part 1: Elizabeth and Thomas Seymour WTF

There is a lot I have to say about this tv-show, especially as person with ADHD. I watched 4 episodes so far. (So if you didn’t see it, don’t read this.)

Overall I liked plenty of things in the tv show-but I absolutely think they screwed over Elizabeth and Thomas Seymour plotline. And at times it felt as if we were looking girl with split personality. Like WTF was going on her? Naive and bold, strong-opinioned yet caved easily moments later. Mature and immature.

When you want your character to have these up and lows-they have to make sense. The character arcs have to be justified. Here maybe in tv show they look that way-but it’s historical character that we know plenty about.

During her childhood-her mother and uncle are executed for supposed adultery and incest.

When she was eight, her step-mother Catherine Howard was executed for supposed adulterry and not being virgin(she was sexually abused as minor, because Agnes Tilney was neglectful of her wards).

(And I say supposed adultery because I personally believe she too was framed. Just even better than Anne Boleyn.)

What would be then this girl taught by people around her-them who knew about all of this and understood it?

Probably this: Chastity is the most important thing girl has and you’re not to ever allow any man but your husband to touch you! Preferably not at all! You are never to be alone with man!

What would she herself think of her mother and Catherine Howard’s demise. Remember, she was very clever, and understood things well beyond her years. After all-she quickly caught up to fact she was suddenly not called a princess-she was not yet 3 years old.

It’s possible she’d have strong opinion about it. And don’t say-oh she’d be just sad of her mum’s death and feel like crying whenever somebody mentions Anne Boleyn. I really hate that they called her Great Whore 99% of the time. I am fan of Catherine of Aragon-but it felt weird, that everybody would do that. One or two-ok, but everybody? That’s not realistic.

Imo Henry VIII had ADHD and very likely all 3 of his kids too.

Prone to outburts, very strongly opinioned from young age, not easy to forgive, remembering past wrongdoings. Etc.

(But we forget where we left our keys, for what item we went into room, that there was homework etc.)

Women with ADHD are more prone to emotional rollecosters. True, and perhaps that is what Becoming Elizabeth wanted to portray. Emotional teenager with ADHD, in mourning. She is bound to be overly emotional, her defences weakened etc, right?

Is that realistic? Talking from experience as woman who suffered from undiagnosed ADHD for years? No.

1st of all, we can be very mature(well beyond our years) and have extremely strong opinions even as children and not diverge from them ever.

Such as on smoking and drugs, right and wrong, etc.

But at same time, for many ADHDs the puberty came later. Not physically, but emotionally. Some people think that is from drugs to cope with ADHD. I didn’t take them as teen, I was not diagnosed until mid 20s. Yet this stagnation in development happened to me too.

I am no scientist but personally think because our brain is wired differently, it takes body longer to connect all the cabels. In my case emotions which you’d associate with puberty didn’t hit me until I was about 19. Like 5 years later.

I was absolutely calm between 10-19, and at the time my ADHD wasn’t even acting that strong.

My father died from long-term illness when I was teen, was I sad? Actually no. He was suffering for months and his suffering was over.

It wasn’t suprise so it wasn’t actually as big of blow, as if it came suddenly.

Elizabeth’s reaction to her Father’s death suggest she wasn’t aware how bad his health has became-she was saddenned and shocked by it. And indeed could be emotionally not ok for while. Any surprise/shock causes as stress and we hate stress.

But loss of loved one or any stress, doesn’t make one loose all their inhibitions as soon as man clicks fingers! Especially if that person previously lead you on and you know they are behaving inappropriately and it can mean your ruin.

So is it realistic for ADHD girl outburst in full swing and calm few seconds later? Forget and forgive in 1 second?

HELL NO! Don’t get me wrong. You can reduce the anger to minimum with some methods. For me works-waving my favourite food before my face or new book. I will focus on food/book instead on wishing to slap you. But if you think that after I finish eating/reading you’re forgiven-you’re wrong. I will still be very mad at you! And will take at least several hours to calm down.

For most people with ADHD calming down can be really really difficult and especially if we are reminded of people’s guilt over and over again.

(Such as Elizabeth hearing Thomas fuck his wife).

Forgiveness? Leaning towards him for kiss?

He chosen her over us and we wish to never see his ugly face ever again!

Apropriate reaction for Elizabeth being dragged by Thomas to be alone with him, would be to step on his foot, apologize for your ‘mistake and how you didn’t want to hurt him’ and then leave with smug.

Not leaning to kiss him!

But maybe I am only petty person with ADHD.

Scenes where Elizabeth retreats to nature to calm her nerves-brilliant. But her being calm as soon as Thomas Seymour opens his mouth or upon seeing him-you’ve got to be kidding! Not realistic at all.

Many people say her having crush or consider match with him at 13/14 him is unrealistic. Around that age lots of bethrohals were already decided and after Henry VIII’s death Elizabeth might have wondered about her future.

She might have wondered if her brother and council will get her married to secure alliances-that is realistic. But she’d 100% not think she had choice, that she had a say and that she could choose herself. She’d expect that somebody else would pick for her!

The crush is possible, but I doubt she could have crush on both Dudley and Seymour at same time. Especially Thomas over Dudley? WTF?

True, there were marriages in those days with big age differences, and even nowadays they are and some young woman prefer to have mature man from older generation. Old school gentleman.

So could she wish for marriage with him? Or think of it as possibility. Yes, that is plausible.

But falling for his charms? Episode 4 gave no room for wandering.

She thought she could be pregnant-they had sex. Multiple times.

And it is so unrealistic! Especially since Elizabeth might have been ADHD and with history of women around her. You think Kat Ashley would know what happened to Catherine Howard and would sit still while Thomas Seymour was grooming her charge? Just two scoldings-and otherwise she doesn’t exist?!

Elizabeth’s own reaction is also pure fiction.

ADHD people are not always strong personalities, we are full of insecurities true-but we are also very strongly opinioned and we don’t diverge from our views easily. Sometimes our views can be twisted(as for example Henry VIII’s idea of justice-you’re with me or against me), but in priciple our personality doesn’t really change since times we turned 10. Maybe not even since we turned 7. Our values are set in stone, and you better bring powerdrill to try to break them.

Ok, sometimes peer pressure, family pressure works. To diverge from them slightly. Not trow them away completely!

You’re telling me this girl being hammered all her life to this point about importance of chastity just threw it off? She gave in to the temptation? A royal daughter who knew two women in her life had their head chopped off?WTF?!

Not all girls are willing to become whores and throw their morals way. Not every pretty young teen is willing to misbehave, to be unchaste, to sleep with any dude which comes her way and pays her bit of attention.

The Becoming Elizabeth’s view upon Elizabeth’s moral is so fucking misogenic, it hurts.

Just as well they could portray it as him clicking his finger and her bending over, pulling her skirt up. Just as bad.

Also, I am not sure if you noticed the bits of conversations and glances between Mary and Thomas Seymour. It almost looked like they were trying to imply he seduced Mary before Elizabeth.

(I was having thought in 3rd episode-how Starz so far ruined(made immoral) every woman on main cast that was in White Princess, Spanish princess, and I was wondering how come Mary was spared-apparently she wasn’t, it’s just bit hidden.)

Imo there were several ways to portray Thomas Seymour and Elizabeth’s relationship and not make audience livid:

1)Nothing happens-both stay decent, nobody tries anything

2)He is creep and wants to molest her(or more) and Kat Ashley stops him when he sneaks to Elizabeth’s bed one morning(she watches Elizabeth as hawk) and begs Catherine Parr to sent Elizabeth away(anywhere). Catherine eventually agrees, but Elizabeth is traumatized by that point.

3)He is creep and Elizabeth herself is bold enough to tell him off, and when his behaviour doesn’t stop, she herself tells Catherine that Thomas behaviour is not ok, and could lead to rumours etc. Elizabeth is bit shaken, but ok.

4)He is creep, wants to molest her and more, and it is Catherine Parr who stops him from raping the poor girl and who puts herself between her ward and her husband. She sents Elizabeth away behind his back and is mortified whom she married.

5)He is creep and Catherine Parr and Kat Ashley fail to protect Elizabeth. He rapes her and only then Elizabeth is sent away.

All of those would be more acceptable than Elizabeth willingly falling for him.

My personal favourite would be number 2 or 3. Or combination of those two.

Because it’d show both vulnerability of young girl, when being in household where this creep is in charge(as husband of Catherine Parr he’d be in charge of her household) and at the same time Elizabeth holding upon her principles. Her fighting him off-that was what we all wanted to see. For her to be the lioness, showing her claws when he crossed the mark. Kat Ashley being fiercelly protective.

Or Kat Ashley could have a male servant guard corridor beside Elizabeth’s door at night(while she asleeps), not liking Seymour’s gaze upon Elizabeth. Somebody she deeply trusted and knew for many years. Why male? So that he’d be strong enough to stop Seymour if it was need. Probably male servant with strong morals-who would not hesitate to break the door Seymour latched(locked), and would stand up to Seymour and not be put off by Seymour’s threads but would stand his ground allowing Elizabeth to escape.(And Elizabeth would want to escape!)

If they thought their portrayal showed well enough how much wrong that relationship was, they were wrong. On contrary. She was way too into it, for us to truly sympathize with her. Or to not think showrunners were idiots.

Thomas Seymour’s unwanted attention would be very unpleasant experience for Elizabeth. It’s likely she’d not know how to cope with it-at first. But it is equally likely that Seymour would not be making his move immediately.

It’d take while. Imo, she’d do her best to avoid him and if not possible to be in presence of somebody she trusted all the time. Like Kat Ashley, with whom she’d share her fears.

Hell I think all teens would react that way-if they realised the person was creep.

Could they not realise? Sadly not all victims do, until it is too late. Those creeps can bind their time and be eloquent and fun and nice until they get their victims alone. And afterwards they will tell their victim some bullshit words to convince their victim-that victim was actually at fault and was asking for it, she wanted it.

Which is essentially what this tv show did with Elizabeth! She leans towards him for kiss first. They basically put the blame on her. She doesn’t give any real signal of being unwilling. At all.

I don’t blame the actors, I blame director and script writer for this.

Actors are good actors. They cannot be expected to keep tract of overall tone that relationship would have in the final cut. That is not their job.

The show runners failed to portray him as proper creep and her as victim.

And for that I’d give them whole 3 points down for accuracy(on scale 1-10).

1 for Elizabeth’s unrealistic reactions to Seymour and her unrealistic expectations regarding her possible marriage.

1 for failure to portray T. Seymour as actual creep, unrealistic luring stage, etc.

(That line-’I’d never do anything you’d not want’ would be much better fit for luring stage, not for time when he has hand on her thigh already.)

And 1 for portrayal of Kat Ashley and Catherine Parr not being really that bothered by Seymour’s nor Elizabeth’s behaviour. One time scolding of Elizabeth by Ashley, and her once scolding Seymour was not enough! One time Parr telling her husband to stop flirting with Elizabeth-realising he was flirting!- in very weak tone. (I tell my cat to get off my notebook in much harsher way!)

It was not ok for these two women to be potrayed this way-realising he was behaving inapropriately-and not watching their charge, not protecting her.

It’s stupid!

And by the way another 1 point for that 1st conversation between Pedro and Mary. Concept of Mary bonding with Pedro over her mother arriving to England from Spain with some black people-not bad idea at all.

But implying Mary had black lady named Catalina in her household- 1 full point taken down. Catalina de Cardones is fictional character! Catalina of Motril was a slave! Probably later freed and given money to return to Spain by Catherine of Aragon, and dead by the time Great Matter occured. She was not in Spain. Even Lina in Spanish Princess left.

No excuses for this mishap. This is repeated mistake by Starz and I am not having it. We criticized them for it before!

Just as we criticized them about not screwing up the main character’s character(Spanish Princess’ Catherine fo Aragon).

Good that they got better costumes(than in Spanish Princess-but they are still 1530s), checked some facts and some timelines and got plenty of nice tidbits. But when your main character willingly faces ruin and is immoral-how do you expect us to like her? How do you expect us to sympathize with her?

She slashes throat of deer-but can’t kick Thomas into balls? Bold, strong girl and yet innocent victim? How the hell do you explain this paradox?

They make real life victim into villing participant and I don’t know about you, but I won’t forget it nor forgive it. So in part 2 I will rip appart the costume and take back my statement, they look great. They do-if this was set in 1520s or 1530s. Which it is not.

First of all, I hope that wherever you are in life you're healthy and as happy as you can be. I also must confess that I did reactivate my tumblr account from eight years ago to send this message.

In high school, I used to read your Glee fanfics at night alone in my room when I was so far in the closet that I was eating fucking Turkish delight in Narnia. Those stories breathed life into me and unraveled a beautifully complicated and seemingly unattainable fantasy where two women can be together romantically. Granted Santana and Quinn did have a hard time staying together, but you get my point.

I used to get butterflies in my stomach when I saw that there was a new chapter update, not only because I got to crawl away into a queer world, but because the creation of this world was done so carefully and artfully. The complexity of LIALTHI and IBYM are impressive and exhilarating, it was better than watching a thrilling movie. While much of the thrill was the queer representation--if it can really be called "representation," when it was simply was just the queerNESS--but the writing and storylines were beautifully crafted while both heartwarming and heartbreaking. I felt like I experienced every emotion outlined in the text on screen of my iPhone 3 before I panically cleared my browsing history out of fear someone might discover my sins.

You didn't ask, but don't worry, things got better. I'm out and have worked through plenty of internalized homophobia. Even in a healthy gal pal relationship. Glad I didn't place bets on how my future would pan out when I was that sad sack in high school because I'd have lost a lot of money.

I recently reread LIALTHI and IBYM , they were wonderful again as I expected. And while we've come a long way in access to queer storylines and leading characters and shows, I can't seem to stop thinking about Quinn and Santana's story in this series. I'm left a little hollow thinking about them swimming around in the abyss, unfinished, unrequited, undeserving of being left on the precipice.

Let me be clear, this is NOT me shaming you for not finishing the story. These characters are creations of your brain and they don't "deserve" anything. You did unpaid labor that probably benefited thousands of people, and for that you should not feel bad about dropping off. This was meant to more be a "thank you" for creating this world. And while I'm sad the world now exists in a plane that doesn't intersect with our own, I'm better off for crossing through it for the time that I could. Sometimes I like to think that unfinished stories go off into space and finish themselves (wanky) purely for their own benefit.

Like many, I was devastated about Naya's death. I felt like she played a character I knew in so many other ways, from so many other non-canon stories, and now they were all lost. I thought I would feel queasy reading anything in this world again, but it felt like coming home to friends. To friends who were there for me when I needed them most. And who I'm still invested in after all this time.

Now I know I just (genuinely!!) said I feel no type of frustration or sense of injustice that you didn't finish the story, because you're a person who has a real life that exists outside of fanfiction.net. And I can't emphasize enough how that is far more important. However I would low key pay you to finish lol. Kidding, not really, name your price, jk... :)

Anyway. Thank you for giving so many extra layers to these characters and for serving a community with your creative mind. It was special for me to be able to go back and read one of my favorite stories. Again, I truly hope you are out there living a life you love. Stay well xx

Writing fanfiction really helped me. I had been "out" for years before I started writing but my imagination when it came to queerness really expanded when I began writing and engaging with the community here.

I want you to know that they got a happy ending. That was the only plan ever for me. They are healthy (working more towards whatever that is bit by bit) and happy together.

1. What is your name?

River Chikamori. I was born a McIrish.

2. Do you know why you were named that?

It's a nature name, I'm not sure why my late mom picked it out for me, but I like it. And now I wouldn't be able to answer by any other name anyways.

3. Single or taken?

Like my husband said, "Taken...very happily taken... Thank you very much."

4. Stop being a Mary Sue!

If I was a Mary Sue, I'm probably doing a pretty bad job of it right now.

5. What’s your eye color?

Green...my husband says that he loves staring into them. I don't mind in the slightest.

6. How about hair color?

Red. Not going to say otherwise.

7. Have you got any family members?

Asian families are big families and well, for the longest time, it was just me, my mom, Molly and Sandi, well, Sandi's all grown up and fled the nest and Molly, well unfortunately her and Uncle Satoshi are now gone. It's really sad to realize that everyone is getting older and some of them that we grew up with aren't around anymore. Hopefully Ojiisan Yasunobu and Obaasan Susan are around for a long time yet. But...(a bit emotional) I still do miss my Mom...a lot.

8. Oh, how about pets?

Not sure right now. Just taking it one day at a time and we'll see what happens. Pets are a major commitment.

Some sims don't get the idea that "No means No..." I'm seriously thinking about getting an unlisted number.

Painting, sculpting...spending time with my hubby.

I really have no idea...but my husband...well...let's just say that I consider him a tiger.

I look up to my Mom, she raised me from the time that I was born, all by herself and she wasn't lucky enough like me to have a husband who is faithful and sticks around to take responsibility for the children he's fathered.

I have a husband so understandably, I'm straight.

17. Do you go to school?

Like my husband, I couldn't wait to get out of school and live my life. We both went to university together and well, we both have arts degrees. It's good enough. Not planning on going back at any point as of yet.

18. Ever want to marry and have kids one day?

I'm happily married and have had four wonderfully darling children who are growing up into capable young men and women. I think we've done good.

19. Do you have fangirls/fanboys?

I wouldn't know...really, I don't see myself being that much of a celebrity.

20. What are you most afraid of?

I'm was afraid of not having lived a fulfilling life, but the operative word is was. I've raised four wonderful children, have a darling husband that I love dearly and I think I'm living the best possible life that I could have.

I'm usually in jeans and a red Canada 150 t-shirt.

22. What’s one food that tempts you?

Key Lime Pie (laughs self-consciously)

Nope...I rarely find myself getting annoyed.

I don't find that classifying people as certain economic classes as very constructive. I think we should all work together to bring into fruition a productive society.

My circle of friends are the ones that are most important to me: my husband, my kids, I wish that my Mom could be here to see how Haruo's and my kids have grown into such wonderful young adults..

27. What are your thoughts on pie?

Well...unlike my husband who's mind is in the gutter half the time, I have enjoyed buzzberry pie once in a while. It's delicious.

28. Favorite drink?

I'm never awake without my cup of coffee in the morning.

29. What’s your favorite place?

Like my husband, I think we both hang out at Divisadero until they kick us out and lock the doors.

30. Are you interested in anyone?

Oh, maybe a few platonic crushes on a few movie stars, but my husband is really all I need and he's all I've ever wanted.

10.ㅤ| a song of ice and fire : ㅤ the world of a song of ice and fire involves death, gore, betrayal, medieval like talks, fantasy talk as well mentions of incest, all will be present so keep this in mind. incest features heavily in the show and book so it will be mentioned.

11.ㅤ| changes: ㅤhere are a few of the changes regarding my sansa from show and even book. if you don't like, don't follow. and if you do, please respect the choices.

there will be no queen in the north arc here for sansa. it was poorly made, just to make all the female characters in the show the same girlboss girlkeep who know better than men. that's not sansa. sansa is lady of winterfell until jon gets a wife and hand of the king, taking a place in the small council of the north as well one of his trusted emboys.

no ramsay bolton arc either here. it was shady and awful how d/d waited until the actress was eighteen to film those scenes and literally steal another book character's storyline just to give it to sansa. after she escapes to the vale and takes on the alynne name and hears her brother jon is lord commander, bryanne finds her and she goes to the north, crossing paths with theon along the way, that tells her that they need to retake winterfell, as her friend jeyne is there, informing her who the "arya" in winterfell is.

sansa tells jon of the knights of the vale as cavalry. no need to create animosity or this sense that sansa doesn't consider him good at being king or commander when that's literally what he is.

sansa speaks up and approves of jon as king in the north.

when the truth of his parentage is revealed, she still claims he is a stark and the lords chose him, if anything, him being lyanna's child would endear them more to him.

she might, however, see this as another opportunity to push cersei off the throne. this is the one scheme she might see, with him being rhaegar's son and howland reed arriving with official papers that prove it.

sansa fixes one of the old castles up in the wall as a home for women in peril, with no husband, pregnant and alone or orphaned.

she might not be too warm about the idea of either aegon or daenerys coming to westeros, but she agrees that as long as the north and what robb gained in battle remains under their control, they can do as they please.

she is a princess now and has her title to use as leverage. despite not wanting to wed, she does use it as a way to get what she wants if they need more armies and lands.
