Dress codes are dumb. And everyone in school agrees. So why is the dear student council president Yang Jungwon so insistent on upholding such a stupid rule? And why is Y/n so insistent on changing his mind?

Romantic Killer - Chapter One; Time Flies By (1/2)

Modern Sniper AU! Nakahara chuuya x Sniper Best Friend! gn! reader

Synopsis: You and Chuuya Nakahara are a sniper duo from the Port Mafia, having taken care of each other from as far back as your memory goes. No parents, no family, just each other. Living in an apartment as friends by day, blowing brains out of targets at night. Sure, the money isn’t that good. But it’s not like you can go back, right?

TW: Throughout this fanfic series, there WILL be descriptions of gore/blood, death, brief mention and depiction of starvation (not an ED though), angst, prostitution and stupid people who don’t know romantic love from platonic love. It’s not that bad in the beginning, but I will ramp it up as the series progresses.

A.N: Criticism and feedback is welcome and appreciated because this is my first fanfic series and I’m running on low energy.

10:30 P.M

It’s dark. Silent, too. Clouds drift over Yokohama, blocking out the moon’s light. The heavy rain poured over all, drenching the ground. It’s all so wet, a heavy humid night. A utility pole happens to be nearby, sticking up in the ground. The wires stick out in all directions, thin and sturdy. Two birds rest on a wire, one a color that resembles blood. The other? Oh, it’s pure white. A stark difference from its companion nearby. Two different creatures, yet in this moment they’re here.

Together.

Together, like Chuuya Nakahara and you. Here he is, laying down on his stomach, sniper rifle perched on the edge of the building, finger on the trigger. The wind occasionally ruffles his hair, the ginger strands resting on his shoulder. A quiet night, that’s what it is. Save for the rain. It soaks him to the bone, clothes clinging to his frame. Every few seconds, he has to wipe his eyes of the water.

Fuck. He should’ve brought an umbrella like you.

You’re behind him, clutching your own gun under the comfort of the umbrella. Waiting for that inevitable shot he would take.

Information from the Port Mafia had detailed an enemy gang who had their own sniper out tonight as well. A good one, allegedly. Too good to be alive. It’s why you two are both out on February 14th. A rainy day where love floods through the city as lovers celebrate each other. No couple here, though. Just a duo. Your duo.

Nothing’s new. Not when it’s been this way for years. Just him and you.

Chuuya’s always had your back, and you’ve always had his. On the streets. On the rooftop. On days where things weren’t so terrible, and on days where it was terrible.

Before as orphans, sleeping in abandoned warehouses where Chuuya would stay up all night, keeping watch. A jacket - his - would cover you for warmth, even if he’d be cold. How when he got food, he gave more to you. You looked so thin, and he was scared shitless you’d die of starvation.

So he went hungry so you could eat more. Hungry until the Mafia found them. Inducted them into their organization and roles.

Now as fucking Mafia members, sharing an apartment even though you two could easily afford your own now. But it’s home. Where memories were made - eating shitty takeout, gossiping about co-workers and having a sleepover party every night.

Blacking out those memories of the past. And looking forward to the future.

And in the future, he’d still be there. As a friend, confident or hell - maybe even more. It didn’t matter. As long as you were happy and safe, Chuuya was okay with his life.

Okay with the work they did now.

His ears catches the sound of your gentle hums, a small smile pricking at the corner of his lips. It’s been a while since Chuuya last heard them. A good contrast to the dead silence you two were stuck in. A bit of chatting never hurt anyone. Shifting a bit, Chuuya’s voice stuck out against the pouring rain, hoping you’d speak back and not be a rule abiding bitch.

“I hate this rain. It’s so fuckin’ wet.”

And he did hate it. Especially without an umbrella and when they were in the middle of an area containing nothing about abandoned house projects and crumbling buildings. A few puddles had formed on the roof, much to his disdain.

“That’s what she said.”

Did you have to? Did you REALLY have to? Chuuya groaned, mentally facepalming himself for walking into that one. You both were the same age - twenty two - and here you were making jokes that a middle schooler would.

“Did you have to?”

“Have to what?”

Fuck you. You totally did know what, but he gives up on it. You’re a cheeky one who never likes to be straightforward with him.

“I- nothing. Hey, do me a favor and get your ass over here, okay? The umbrella too. You can at least cover me too.”

Your footsteps make sounds on the puddles nearby as you stroll over to him, sitting down nearby and begrudgingly covering him with it. A few raindrops roll off the edge of the umbrella, finding their way onto the back of your neck. Chuuya stifles a comment at that, not wanting to lose his umbrella privileges.

“Thanks.”

A small mutter comes from his lips as his shoulder touches yours, not even flinching when your free hand reaches up to play with his hair. He’s too used to it all. The random times where you jump onto his back. Braiding his hair while he naps on the couch at home. Painting his fingernails pink while he’s blackout drunk. This is one of your tamer moments.

“Geez, Chuu. Your hair’s so friggin’ soft. I’m gonna use your hair products when we get home.”

A side-eye from Chuuya.

“I bought them. They’re mine. Not yours, you thief.”

He’d almost always give up his things to you. Clothes, hairties, snacks, etc. You always won, sadly.

“You owe me. Don’tcha remember when you borrowed my rings and lost them?”

He did. Chuuya remembers that very well.

“Fine.”

Another ‘fuck you’ passes through his mind. Minutes go by in relative silence coupled with the occasional bickering. You went back to your corner of the roof, leaving him once again soaked to the bone from the rain. Chuuya regrets not letting you do the assassination for tonight. Now you were dry in your little bubble, being the back-up in case someone tried to rush up the stairs at them.

Boring. This was all so boring. When was the action?

It didn’t take much longer.

The building opposite of them containing the supposed sniper for the night had a shadow suddenly pop up, Chuuya’s body automatically lining up the shot as a gunshot bursts out of his gun. He’s expecting to see blood spurt out of the body, the thud on the concrete.

Nothing.

Instead, as he recovers from the recoil of the shot, your cry of warning rings out too late as another crack shoots out from nowhere.

First, a bloom of hot pain in his collarbone. His ears are ringing a bit, mind dazed and shocked and unable to register how your fingers tug him to safety behind a parapet. Damn it, he thinks. Must’ve been a decoy puppet of sorts. God, how could he have been so stupid as to not think of that?

He’s Chuuya fuckin’ Nakahara. Best sniper in the whole of the Mafia’s men.

Second, the pain intensifies as he slowly comes to his senses, eyes focusing on the sight of your crying self. His heart began to beat faster - not only due to blood loss - but because it hurt so damn much to see you cry.

“Hey- don’t cry. I’m okay.”

Fingers shakily rise to rest on your arm, feeling the warm flesh under the fabric of his gloves. Chuuya’s not dying. Not now, not ever. He’s not done protecting you.

“I’m not dying, you hear me? I’m not fuckin’ dead yet.”

A load of shit, coming from him. The man with blood flowing from his collarbone as he clutches onto you like a child. It’s pathetic looking, and a wave of self-consciousness greets his body. You don’t give a crap though. He’s dying, no time to focus on how child-like and dependent Chuuya is right now.

“I’m not crying, dipshit.”

Your fingers tightened on his shirt as you choke out a reply. That comforts him. He couldn’t be dying if your banter happens even now.

“Sure you’re not. Fuck- this hurts.”

Another quick retort from you, filled with sarcasm and a desperate attempt at normalcy. That it was just another day in your shared apartment rather than him bleeding out in your arms.

Normal normal normal. It’s normal.

“I wonder why. Couldn’t be the fucking gunshot.”

Heh.

It’s true. It hurts so bad. Sharp shudders of pain explode all over his body. His heart, his chest, his head.

Thirdly, Chuuya Nakahara is dying. He’ll confess to that now. The world slowly swirls above him, your voice and sniffles tuning out as you desperately request for medics from the Mafia.

The stars are a mix of bright dots in the night sky.

The rain pours. The umbrella lies forgotten. Water drips down your bodies as he stays in your lap, bleeding out on what others consider a happy day. So much water. Damn, if he was going to go out, it could’ve been in better weather. Not this mess of wind and rain. His shirt is now a color of red, dulled by the water sinking further down on you two.

Chuuya tries to manage a smile. For you. For his best friend.

His everything.

“It’s okay.”

It’s really not. Especially to you.

“The fuck, Chuuya? It’s not okay, okay? Stop talking like you’re dying.”

He is. Chuuya can feel life slowly ebb out of him, his limbs feeling like jelly now. Your arms tighten around him, clutching onto the wet fabric of his shirt. His eyes focus on yours, that smile not leaving his face just yet.

“Chuuya. Chuuya, no. Keep your fucking eyes open.”

Chuuya’s eyelids are woozy. So, so tiring. He needs a nap. Even if it was cold and raining, your arms were cozy and warm.

A short nap.

So he takes a nap, eyes slowly shutting as life flooded his memories. His life, which Chuuya considered having started at twelve years old.

When he met you.

A/N: it’s been ages since I’ve posted my own story! I hope you enjoy! I tried to point to the reader being alternative. Kept it pretty GN, but the nicknames might sound fem. Reblogs & comments are appreciated! Let me know if you’d like more!

Eddie Munson was the bane of your existence. You loathed him with every fiber of your being. You hate him- from the tips of his curly brown hair all the way down to the heels of his doc Martins. You hated Eddie Munson.

Eddie Munson absolutely despised you. He cringed every time he heard your laughter ring throughout the halls of the school. Your smile that stretched all the way to your cheeks made him roll his eyes with a scoff. Eddie hated every part of your perfect self, disgust written clear across his face.

Despite the mutual hatred for each other, you found yourself dragging along to the weekly Hellfire meetings, almost with a slight pep to your step. The Hellfire Club was your only set of friends and relief from the chaotic world around you. Albeit, the leader evidently hated your guts, but you put up with it for the sake of your friends and your love of the game.

It was in Hellfire that you found your home away from home- your escape, sense of self, peace. Eddie always knew how to push your buttons just right, just enough to piss you off. But you kept coming back for more. For the campaign, you swore. In reality, you came not only for the adventure you had worked so hard on, but for the man with the curly hair and loud voice, silver rings adorning his long fingers and strong arms. It was Eddie you really came for.

For what felt like years, you’d watched from the sidelines. The freak of Hawkins High School. The metal head that flunked his classes so many times, he’d had to repeat his senior year- multiple times. The 5 foot 10 god of a man that would have you on your knees in seconds if he’d only so much as smile your way. You’d kept your feelings buried deep down when you realized just how much Eddie disliked you. Swallowed your pride and hurt, mustered up the courage to step into the classroom to see Eddie upon his throne waiting for the gang to arrive for their first meeting of the school year.

And you’d done so every week since. You took it like a champ. With every roll of a low number on the die and tsk-ing of Eddie’s mean shuns, you kept going back. But today seemed worse than the others. Eddie was riled up. And when Eddie was riled up, he was even more mean to you than ever. The guys’ excited chatter died down to a quiet whisper when your boots sounded at the entrance of the room, lingering in the doorway. A flushing of your cheeks burning red, duck of your head and small “hey, guys.” And you took your seat on the opposite side of the table, facing directly at Eddie’s throne.

“Well look who decided to show up!” He scoffed with an absentminded wave of his hand. “How nice of you to join us, darling.” He gritted out. You forced a smile on your face and muttered a bullshit apology and excuse for your tardiness. Eddie stared at you while you pulled your things from your backpack, quickly setting up your station and preparing yourself for what felt like the biggest battle you’d see yet. A sigh and push of your glasses back up your nose and you were ready to start. “Sorry, guys. I’m ready. Let’s do this.”

And so he began.

30 minutes later and half of your teammates had been brutally murdered. Eddie’s maniacal laughter still ringing in your ears as you shook the dice in your hands, wishing a silent prayer to whatever god could hear you, to just let you roll at least a 15. “You got this!” Dustin screamed in encouragement, hands clutched into tight fists. The boys were all either barely sitting on the edge of their seats or standing with sweat dripping down their foreheads. You released the die, watching it tumble down through the middle of the table before it stopped directly in front of the DM.

Wide eyes looked down and then slowly back up. In giddy and tense silence, he picked the plastic piece up and allowed for a grin to spread across his features as he showed the table your number. A 20. Thank fucking Christ. “YES! Fuck!” You let out an exasperated cry of joy. “In your fucking face, Munson! Eat shit!”

Your friends were too busy yelling and jumping around excitedly to register your words, but they were not lost on Eddie. He stood from the table quickly and in a matter of seconds was at the opposite end, grabbing you by the back of the neck and pulling you out of the room, leaving your friends to continue in their giddiness. The door slammed shut, leaving you in silence, save for the excruciatingly tense breaths coming from both you and the man who still had a grip on your neck, only now on the front, pinning you against the wall.

“I-I’m sorry, Eddie. Really! I wasn’t thinking-“ you spilled out quickly, terrified you’d really screwed things up and made him angry- pushed him too far. He only moved his face closer to yours, hot breath fanning over your paling skin, with squinted eyes.

“Shut the fuck up.” Your lips shammed shut, breathing becoming frantic as his scent invaded your lungs. You were afraid you’d suffocate on the smell of faint cigarettes, weed, and heavy pine if he didn’t release you and move away from your trembling figure soon. He towered over you, the tips of his long hair lightly swaying against your blushing cheeks. “Repeat every goddamn word you just said, ~darling~. I wanna hear you say ‘em to my fuckin face.”

Instantly, your mouth ran dry, tongue sticky behind your lips. His hand tightened ever so slightly around your throat. Suddenly, you were parched. “I-I said, ‘In your fucking face, Munson. Eat shit.” You choked out, eyes averting away in an attempt to not meet his hard stare.

“Ah- look me in my eyes when you insult me, precious. Be a big girl.” Your knees felt weak, arms limp at your sides as you slowly lifted your eyes to meet his. You’d never hear the end of this. This was it- he was going to kick you out and you’d lose the only friends you had. You mustered up as much courage as you could, absolutely fed up with the treatment you’d been receiving from Eddie Munson for the past months. You huffed.

“I said, ‘In your fucking face, ~Munson~. Eat. Shit. You fucking prick.” Your chin titled up in an act of bravery and defiance. He released you from his grasp and you heaved in a fresh breath, only blinking for just a second before staring him right back down. He took a step back before lunging right for you, hand grabbing and twisting into your hair making you yelp out at the stinging spreading across your scalp and down your neck.

He didn’t hesitate to crush his plush lips to yours, slipping his tongue inside your mouth. Your knees buckled for a split second before you pushed back with all of your might and you returned the kiss with as much force as he had kissed you. You fought for dominance over him, your hands gripping into the sleeves of his denim jacket, teeth nipping at his bottom lip until a moan lost its way out of his now sore lips. You pulled back, gasping for air.

“You’re an outrageous asshole, Munson. Treating me like shit stuck to the bottom of your shoes like I’m nothing for MONTHS.” You seethed once you’d both caught your breath. “Go ahead, kick me out for shit-talking you after kicking your ass.”

“Kick you out? No- no, I’m not kicking you out!” He chuckled dryly. His eyes shifted down to your feet before dragging up your body, drinking in the sight of you angry with bruised lips and the print of his hand still lingering against the soft skin of your neck. “You won, darling. Can’t deny that. But if you think for one second you’re getting away with that stunt you just pulled- you’re dead wrong.” His legs advanced towards you again, stopping right before you as he leaned down to place a chaste kiss against your lips before moving to murmur against your ear.

“I’m going to fuck the brat straight out of you. We’ll see how you like mouthing off then.” And then he tugged you down the hall, out the doors of the school, leaving your friends behind that had somehow just noticed your absence.

"Archons, Why am I here? Just to suffer?" Xiao mutters, his face scrunched in disgust as the smell of alcohol hits his nose. The music loud and blasting, colorful lights blinding to the eye. His amber eyes scanning the room filled with people.

He would do anything to be back on his dorm right now.

"You're no fun Xiao~! I had to drag your ass here!" Venti yelled, voice barely heard by Xiao due to the loud music. Xiao rolled his eyes, as he crossed his arms.

"You've been in your room for god knows how long, I can smell the depression from miles away." Venti pouted as he jokingly slaps Xiao's back, the latter just grunting in annoyance.

"I thought that you need a break from I dunno? Moping around? Take your mind off them for awhile? Drink alcohol and have fun~!"

Xiao's heart ached, Venti mentioning them stirred something in him.

Xiao knows he fucked up. Big time.

Xiao let in a deep sighed, "Fine, I'll stay for a few minutes, I still have some papers to finish." He says and Venti cheered.

"Got It~! Also, the other's are here too~" Venti cooed and Xiao raised an eyebrow before hearing familiar voices.

"Venti! Xiao! Over here!"

Both male's turned to where the voice came and saw their gang—Hu Tao, Beidou, Kazuha, Aether, Yanfei, Childe, and Yelan.

Xiao sighed, maybe a few drinks won't hurt right?

The gang was laughing, having a great time. Despite barely hearing each other due to the loud music playing.

"—Then I punched her in the face! I don't tolerate hurting women but she was an absolute bitch" Childe said and the other's gasped.

"Slay kingggg" Hu Tao cheered and the other's laughed.

"She sounded horrible, I say she deserved it." Kazuha nodded as he took a sip of the cup of alcohol in his hand.

Aether was looking around and Venti noticed the blond looking around nervously, "What are you looking for Aether?" Venti asked as he chugged down a bottle of wine, god no one knows where he got it.

"Do you guys know where Xiao went?" Aether asked.

Venti hummed in a thinking manner, "He went back to the table to get more drinks." He answered, relaxing his body into the couch, relaxing and stretching his muscles.

"When did he leave?" The blond asked, obviously concerned for his extremely wasted friend.

"About... Ten minutes ago" Venti said, starting to feel a little tipsy, his eyes widened with realization.

"Oh shit." All of them muttered, they were listening to the two's convo.

An extremely wasted and also heartbroken man is missing.

That can't be good.

Xiao was absolutely wasted.

He doesn't know where he is but he swears the hallway looks oddly familiar.

His mind can barely grasp his surroundings, thoughts are hazy from the liquor.

His body stumbled in each step, he can already feel a headache forming.

His skin felt hot, his eyes can barely focus.

The hallways felts so long and unending, he swore he's been walking the same place for more than 30 minutes.

It's actually only 10 minutes walking the hallway, the hallway of the dorms.

Xiao doesn't know that though, he pressed the wrong button in the elevator.

His steps making small clicking sounds against the marble tiled flooring.

His steps halted when he saw a familiar number on the door.

Xiao's breath hitched, he can feel himself starting to sober up.

He should walk away, pretend that he didn't come in this floor.

He wanted to, but knowing that his ex is behind the door.

Before he knew it, his hand came contact with the wooden door. Three knocks. The door opens.

It was an unusual day at work for the young doctor who had recently moved from Hawkins Indiana, though not necessarily bad. Eddie survived the Upside Down, finally graduating from Hawkins High School and going to college for his doctorate. Eddie had gone through a lot of changes once he got into college. He had cut his hair, not too short but not too long, and changed his attire. He still wore black, leather, and band tees, but at work, he wore something more professional. He didn't want to leave his friends, especially after everything that happened, but he had to get out of that town. After everything that happened, he wanted to help people; heal people from illnesses or broken legs. Checking the chart on the clipboard in his hands, Eddie knocked on the door before entering.

"Hello, I am your doctor, Dr. Munson." He introduced himself as he continued to read the patient's sheet.

"I'm Y/N... But you probably already know that." Your voice softly answered, causing Eddie to look up.

Eddie felt his heart skip a beat as he looked at you. You were gorgeous with your hair slightly disheveled as if you had just woken up. Your face was soft yet you had a determined look about you that caused Eddie to smile softly to himself. Slightly flustered, the younger man looked down at the sheet again. "Ah! Yes, I did know that. Well, it seems that you did break your leg. How does your knee feel? It says that you hurt it in the process of breaking your leg."

"Good, actually. It feels a little sore. I think I just twisted it or something." You answered back, taking your time to eye the doctor in front of you. It should be a crime to be as cute as he was. Why was your doctor so cute? Usually, your doctors were nice old ladies or weird middle-aged men who had four kids. Must've been your lucky day. Well... Not really, your leg was broken.

"Uh, if I may... How did you break your leg?" Dr. Munson asked you, snapping you out of your daydreaming, slightly embarrassing you as you cleared your throat.

"I... Uh... Fell..." You mumbled under your breath, glancing away from Dr. Munson, who seemed slightly surprised by what you said.

"Fallen?" he questioned you as he raised an eyebrow, giving you a curious look.

"Yeah... Fell..." You replied as you nervously fiddled with your hospital gown.

"Off of what?" He asked, only making you glance away and bite your lip.

You laughed breathily, shaking your head, "It's stupid... I fell 'cause I was trying to get my cat out of a tree."

Dr. Munson smiled slightly at your answer as he took in your answer. "It's not stupid. I find that rather remarkable. I didn't know that I would be treating a hero today." Eddie teased before his eyes traveled over to your cast, noticing the two names written neatly across. "Your family came in today?"

"Yes," You breathed out, shocked by your doctor's words, nodding your head and then clearing your throat. "My mother and brother. They came in this morning."

Eddie smiled warmly, "Well, that was nice of them." He spoke softly before clearing his own throat, looking back to your chart. "Well, uh, it seems that you will have to stay here for another couple of weeks. It seems your surgery went well and all that so now, as a precaution, you should avoid any strenuous activity, so try to move around as little as possible. Also, please take your medication when given and try to eat normally while you're here because it'll help." The young man explained calmly and clearly, watching your reactions carefully.

"Alright, thank you, Dr. Munson." You reply with a smile.

Eddie shook his head with a smile of his own, "No need to thank, Miss L/N. Just doing my job. And, please, call me Eddie." He replied, chuckling lightly.

"Then, please, call me Y/N, Eddie. Everyone else calls me Y/N anyways." You said happily, causing Eddie to chuckle.

"Alright, Y/N. Then please let me know what your pain level is. And remember to drink plenty of fluids." Eddie replied as he began writing things down on your chart, causing you to nod your head.

"Will do.”

As the days passed by, your mother came in to visit you multiple times, as did your brother, which was always a treat to see him. You loved them dearly, but when they visited your mind would be elsewhere, thinking about a certain doctor. You woke up every day in that stiff hospital bed and waited impatiently for your favorite doctor to come in and check up on you. You even went to bed thinking about your chats with him that morning or afternoon. Every day it seemed like you were falling deeper into love, but you tried your hardest to stay strong in order to keep your growing feelings hidden.

But, unbeknownst to you, Eddie wasn't far behind in the same boat. He had grown fond of you since he first saw you, but he knew deep inside, he couldn't do that to you or himself. It wouldn't be fair to you; you were his patient. But, he couldn't help but also noticed how often you'd blush around him. How bright your smile would be when he entered. He was falling, and he was falling hard. He needed a plan to save himself, but, unfortunately, there was no way out. You were going to make sure of that.

Knocking on your door, Eddie walked in, smiling as he did. "Hi, Y/N. How are you feeling today?" he asked as he leaned against the door frame, waiting patiently for your response.

"I'm fine, Eddie. Thank you. How are you?" You responded with a small smile, turning on your side to face the doctor.

"Not too bad. Just coming to see how you are fairing. No pain or anything?" He asked as he approached you.

"I don't think so, Eddie. But, if you ask me, I don't feel too great, honestly," You admitted softly, placing your arm over your forehead. "Is my discharge date soon?" You sighed dramatically, making Eddie chuckle.

"Well, we can get you started tomorrow. Then you'll be free from your hospital bed prison." Eddie joked with you as you giggled and rolled your eyes.

"Very funny, Eddie," You said with a smile as you sat up. "So does that mean I can try and walk?" You asked hopefully only for Eddie to nod.

"Of course. You'll have to wear your crutches to start off, however. But, first, how are you feeling? Any dizziness, nausea, lightheadedness, chest pain, or headaches?" He asked, quickly grabbing the pair of crutches leaning against the wall and passing them to you as you pushed off your covers.

You grabbed onto the handles of the crutches, you quickly stood up, Eddie making his way to your side, his hand pressing against your back to help stabilize you. You bit your lip as you tried to ignore how warm his hand was over the hospital gown. Nervously, you took one step with your good leg, pressing your socked foot on the cold ground before hesitantly moving the crutches forward. You moved, your foot sliding along the floor. Slowly, slowly, you moved. The first few steps weren't too bad, but as you stepped farther and farther, your movements became more and more hesitant as you found yourself getting tired. You let out a shaky breath, and you took another step only for the crutch leg to go unsteady and you to fall forward. Before you could say anything, you heard Eddie yelling out, but it sounded muffled and distant like he was speaking through a tunnel or some other sort of soundproof barrier. You closed your eyes, hoping and praying that you wouldn't hit the ground hard enough to injure yourself more. However, instead of hitting the ground, your body collided with someone's chest. As you opened your eyes, you saw Eddie staring down at you with a worried expression on his face.

"Hey... Are you okay?" He asked softly, making your face heat up at the small amount of space between you two.

"Uh... Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks.” You stammered, blushing heavily as you realized that you had fallen into his arms, which made you blush harder.

Eddie looked down at your face as he held you tightly in his arms, and he was surprised to see the faint trace of tears forming in your eyes as you struggled to hold back your emotions. "Are you sure? Do you want me to get you anything? Water? Does your leg hurt?" Eddie quickly rambled out, only for you to shake your head.

"Can you... Just hold me a while?" You asked softly, still trying to fight back your tears.

Eddie nodded his head, letting out a soft sigh as he held you gently and hugged you close. A wave of relief washed over you as you snuggled closer to Eddie, burying your face in the crook of his neck. His scent was calming, and it reminded you of home in some sort of unknown and weird way. After a few minutes, Eddie pulled back just enough to look at you properly. He stared for a moment, admiring how beautiful your features were. His cheeks tinted pink, he felt like he could stare at you forever and never get bored. But, suddenly, his thoughts came crashing back to reality and his lips twitched into a nervous grin. "I um... We shouldn't be doing this..." He whispered, his eyes darting away from yours.

You tilted your head slightly, confused by his sudden change in behavior, "What? Doing what?" You asked as Eddie led you back to your bed, leaning the crutches back on the wall.

"You're my patient. I could get fired." Eddie muttered as you realized what he was saying.

“I'm sorry!" You exclaimed. "I didn't realize-"

"No, it's fine," Eddie interrupted quickly. "It's my fault. I shouldn't have feelings for you." He chuckled nervously.

Your eyes widened as you sat there, staring up at the man before you as he ran a hand through his messy curly hair. "When am I discharged?"

"Tomorrow." Eddie hastily answered, not fully paying attention.

With his answer, you brightly smiled, "Alright, ask me out tomorrow." You remarked, making Eddie turn to you with wide eyes.

"What... What are you talking about?" He asked, watching as you simply shrugged.

"I won't be your patient tomorrow. Ask me tomorrow." You answered, laughing lightly.

Eddie stared at you, completely stunned. He had hoped that you wouldn't notice, but obviously, he hadn't been very subtle. "Okay then... I will. Tomorrow." Eddie finally replied as you gave him a thumbs up and an adorable smile.

"Awesome. Now, don't you have other patients to take care of?" You asked teasingly, making Eddie nodded his head rapidly.

"I do. I'll check on you before lights out. Uh, yeah! Metal…" Eddie nervously spoke, rushing to the door before abruptly stopping in his place. Turning around, Eddie gave you a nervous smile, "Goodnight, Y/N." He mumbled quietly before leaving, closing the door slowly as he left your room.

Once he left, you flopped down onto your back and groaned, resting your head on your pillow. You couldn't believe your luck! Eddie had just agreed to ask you out tomorrow. Now, all you had to do was wait.

Our Hoodie

Another Corpse Blurb to fill the gap until I can get time to work on my other story

I was sitting in the room beside Corpse’s, streaming. For a long time we just shared the one office, but after I was invited into the gang to play Among Us, we had to change that so there would be no possibilities of us cheating by looking onto each other’s screens. It was nice to have my own space, where I could work on other videos at the same time that he worked on his music and not disturb one another. So, all in all the room was perfect, the only down fall was it was the first room on the air conditioner circuit, and since Corpse liked to keep the apartment rather cold, that meant I was ALWAYS freezing in here. Like now, I was shivering in the middle of my stream.

“Okay guys, I can’t handle this any longer, let’s go hide in front of a cam and hope no one kills me. I’m going to go grab a hoodie, I’ll be right back.” I said setting my little character in front of the cams right out the office before I jumped up and dashed out the door.

When I walked out into the living room, the first hoodie I spotted just happened to be one of Corpse’s. I grabbed it, threw it on and went back to my room in record time.

“Alright, I’m back. Let’s go see if we can find anyone.” I said as I began searching for my friends.

The lights went out and I was making my way to fix them when a familiar voice called out to me.

“Are you wearing my hoodie?” Corpse asked.

“Corpse! How can you see me?” I screamed, trying to run away from him.

“I’m not going to kill you, baby. Don’t worry.” He said smoothly.

“I don’t trust you!” I said dramatically making him laugh.

“Wait! How did you know about the hoodie!? Are you watching my stream!?” I yelled.

He was silent for a moment, “...no.”

I was convinced. The lights came back on and took off for the button. I pressed it before he could catch me.

“Guys!” I yelled.

The was a chorus of what’s.

“Corpse is cheating!” I declared.

“What how?” Rae asked.

“He’s watching my stream!”

“How do you know?” Toast asked.

“ Why don’t we let Corpse answer this one.” I said smuggly.

“Well, I missed my adorable partner and wanted to see their cute face so I hoped on their stream to get my fix, and it looked like they were wearing my hoodie.” He explained nonchalantly.

“Corpse... that’s cheating.” I said shaking my head in mock disappointment.

“Oops.” He laughed.

“Alright guys, you know what to do!” I said, getting every to agree on voting for Corpse.

“Wait!” He said stopping me, the last person, from casting my vote.

“What?” Rae asked confused.

“They never answered my question. Is that my hoodie?” He asked me directly.

We Got a Fish!!!

Corpse x gn Reader (fluff)

I think it’s Gender neutral, but if I messed up feel free to (politely) let me know. Also there may be some very faint undertones of the reader possibly being a little, but it wasn’t my intention it’s just how it came out when I reread it.

Anyways, first ever Corpse story, I hope you like it.

“Corpse, please?” I begged dramatically.

“Yn, why do you want a pet so badly? You have me!” He said back equally dramatic.

“Because, when you’re streaming, I get lonely!” I said, sighing.

“You can come in there and sit with me, you know?” He teased.

“But then I’d distract you! And if you threw you imposter rounds because of me I’d feel bad!” I tried to reason.

“Fine.” He said with a smile as he finally gave in on my request.

“Wait! Really!?!” I sat up excitedly.

“Yes, but only something easy, like a fish. Yeah, let’s get a fish for now. Deal?” He said, holding his hand out to me.

“Deal!” I yelled and took his hand only for him to use it to pull me to him and wrap his arms around me.

“Okay, I’m supposed to stream Among Us in 15 minutes. I’m assuming you’re going to go to the pet store right now, aren’t you?” He asked laughing to himself already knowing my answer.

“Yup! And when I return I shall have our new family member!” I said proudly, looking up at his face from where I was still hugging him.

“Okay, be careful, text me when you get there.” He said, leaning down to kiss me.

I smiled into the kiss then pulled away before say, “I will. Love you!”

“I love you too!” He released me from his arms and made his way to his recording room while I made my way to the door.

As soon as I got to the pet store I was distracted by the kittens.

“Are you looking to get a cat?” The lady asked me.

I didn’t say anything just stared, mesmerized by them as they played.

“Here,” she said with a laugh, “Go on in and meet them.” She opened the door to the little room they were in and I walked in.

I sat on the floor and began playing with them some. Most of them came right up to me, but one lingered behind the group. He was smaller than the rest. His fur was jet black save the top of his left ear and his right front paw. I held my hand out to him gently and slowly he approached it. After pawing at it once he slipped under it, making me pet him. All the other kittens went about playing with one another now that my attention was fixated on him.

I picked him and held him in my arms to pet him. Then he began putting and I knew I was done for: he had to come home with me.

“Corpse is going to kill me.” I whispered to the little fur ball in my arms.

I stood with him just as the lady was coming back.

“Oh, did you find the one?”

“Yup.” I said smiling.

“Okay, do you need any help getting supplies for him?”

Something to consider...

So I was talking with my English teacher who has been in the military and is currently in the reserves. He has met his fair share of snipers in his time there.

He was talking about how snipers are usually very detached from their emotions and are typically very abrasive and stand off-ish. Much like our beloved murder toothpick, Crosshair. And after talking with him, everything kinda made sense and I realized that Crosshair was written actually very well and with a purpose. He’s not just a douchebag (a love label one though) for no reason he’s probably like that because he’s a sniper.

Now yes I understand that real snipers are trained to take out other humans, while Crosshair was trained to shoot droids (or that’s as far as we know, we don’t actually know much about the Bad Batch in all honesty and while it’s doubtful that Disney and the creators would take it in this direction because the show is “geared more towards a younger audience” it is possible that they are a special group with their mutations in order to take out living members of the Separatist) they get so used to their jobs that they have little to no remorse when they take out their targets. This would make sense as to why Crosshair is so stand offish towards the Regs, he’s been trained to be detached from his emotions.

In fact my teacher even told me that on of his friends asked a sniper he knew what does he feels when he takes down their target. To which the sniper shrugged and said “A bit of recoil.” And you can try to tell me that this response is not very Crosshair-like, but I would disagree.

This is just a thought I had and I wanted to share it. Feel free to add to the discussion.

Crosshair, yes but it's in a way they you don't even realize it because it sounds so natural coming out of his mouth.

Wrecker, nope. He prefers alternatives like, "Dang it" over "Damn it"

Tech, he prefers not to but some times one will slip out.

Hunter, when he's angry he has no filter. It's honestly a little terrifying.

Echo, he was (and still is) best friends with Fives, he has the mouth of a sailor.

Omega, Hunter won’t allow her to. But she does occasionally when no ones around.

The Act |High School AU|

Pairing: Ciel Phantomhive x gn!reader Genre: Fluff, high school au Warnings: none Summary: (Y/n) and Ciel have a project together that Elizabeth doesn’t like at all. Her theory? (Y/n) and Ciel have feelings for each other.

At the moment, you’re walking on campus at school to meet up with one of your closest friends, Mey-Rin. She, along with 4 of her friends, came to school here a couple weeks ago. You instantly clicked with Mey-Rin for reasons you don't know.

Finny is one of her best friends, Bard being the other. They’ve been as thick as thieves for years. Finny is one of the sweetest people you’ve ever met in your entire life. He loves gardening and just cares so much about nature, especially animals. Bard likes to act like he’s tough but he’s really just a soft teddy bear. He loves to cook, even if he’s not the best at it, but you always eat his baked goods that he likes to bring you.

The other two of her friends are Ciel and Elizabeth, who are, somehow, an item. You have no idea how because they couldn't be any more different.

Sebastian is your history teacher, who somehow knows all of them, and his class is the only time that all of you are together besides lunch. It’s still kind of odd to you that they’re friends with a teacher, but you don’t question it since you’re pretty cool with the librarian anyway.

You get along with all of them. Well, except for Elizabeth. You would say that she hates you, but her bubbly personality doesn't show it. You’ve just never got along, for reasons you don’t know.

Eventually, you come up to a table that is on campus and see Mey-Rin sitting by herself. She is looking around, looking for you, you suppose. "Hey, Mey-Rin."

"(Y/n)! It's good to see you, yes it is!" she shouts while she runs up to you and hugs you. "Alright, we have 10 minutes before class, so let's get to talking."

You don't have many classes with Mey-Rin, so before school starts, you meet up and talk. At the moment, you’re talking about a bunch of random things, per usual. Next thing you know, the warning bell rings, giving us five minutes to get to class.

"Guess we should get to class now," you say glumly, sad your hangout time is over.

"It's okay! I'll see you at lunch!" With that said, you take your separate ways.

Your first three classes seem to fly by surprisingly. You then make your way to English and take your seat around the middle of the classroom. You have this period with Ciel and Elizabeth, where you three normally all sit together. Usually, Ciel sits directly in front of you and Elizabeth sits either to his right or left. They come in two minutes before the bell rings and take their respective seats.

Ciel turns around, once he’s done getting situated, and says,"Good morning, (Y/n)."

"Morning, Ciel," you reply with a warm smile.

Elizabeth then looks over at you two and says in that annoying voice of hers,"Hello, (Y/n)." You turn your gaze to her and can see her slight glare.

‘Why is she getting all worked up? We just said hello to each other, jeez.’

"Hello, Elizabeth."

"I told you to call me Lizzy!" she shouts. People look in your direction and begin to stare.

"Okay, I'm sorry. Jeez, Lizzy, don't be so loud," you whisper-shout while putting heavy emphasis on the word ‘Lizzy.’ She glares at you for a second and looks like she’s about to say something, but the teacher walks in before she can.

"Alright, class. Today you are to make a script and scene with a partner and present it to the class. It has to be under 10 minutes and has to be the genre I assign to you and your partner."

People gasp and some even shout, "Assigned?" and "Why can't we choose who we work with?"

She shushes everyone and continues on like she wasn't even interrupted. "When I call your name, you and your partner will come up, get the rubric, and you'll get started." She then goes down her list naming people and genres off.

"Lizzy and," she flipped the page, "Gerald."

"What? I want to work with Ciel!" she shouts angrily.

"Miss Milford, if you prefer, I'll give you a zero and let Gerald work alone."

Elizabeth’s jaw drops before she recomposes herself and then mutters, "Fine."

Your teacher then continues and you look up when you finally hear my name. "(Y/n) and Ciel." You gasp softly along with Elizabeth, whose gasp can be heard from Australia, before she then groans.

You, along with Ciel, go up and get handed the rubric when you reach the front. "Your genre is romance."

You blush a bit and gulp while avoiding eye contact with Ciel. You then move two desks together and sit next to each other.

When your teacher is done assigning people she says, "You have 30 minutes to make a script. After that time is up, you all will start presenting. You may start now."

‘Man, we don't have a whole lot of time...’

"Alright, do you have any ideas?" you ask even though you know he isn’t too big on romance, according to Elizabeth that is. He shakes his head no and looks at the rubric once again.

"Okay. What about we do a scene where we are best friends, but one of us is dying. We then confess our undying love for each other before the other dies," you suggest, it being the first thing that comes to mind. He stares at you for a moment, looking deep in thought. He then nods his head in agreement and you get to work.

You ended up finishing the script just in time.

A couple of people go and then it’s Elizabeth’s turn. She and Gerald go in front of the class and begin. Their genre is fantasy and they made the plot pretty good. Elizabeth is a fairy and Gerald is a wizard. There, apparently, is a war going on and they have to join forces to beat the bad guys.

Elizabeth doesn’t look too interested, but she puts up a pretty good show. When they finish, everyone claps and the next few people go up. All in all, most of them are pretty interesting.

When it is finally your turn, your heart starts to race. You clumsily stand up and make your way to the front of the classroom. "Alright, you may begin."

You made it to where Ciel is the one dying because you don't think he could bring tears to his eyes. He also can't show that much emotion, so him dying makes it easier for him.

He lies down on the ground, but not without a scowl, and makes a face to where he looks like he is in pain, holding his stomach. You crouch down and cradle him like what you would see in a movie when someone is dying. "Ciel, you’re going to be just fine," you stutter out with fear laced in your voice.

"(Y/n)...I need to tell you...something...before I...go," he whispers, making it loud enough for the class to hear. You shake your head while bringing tears to your eyes.

"No, Ciel. Don't waste your breath. You are going to be alright." He looks down at the “blood” coming out of him.

He looks back up to you and says softly, "There isn't enough time...to say all of...what I want...to say. I need to...tell you now before...it's too late." You let a tear fall and it lands on his face. He looks in even more pain now by just seeing your expression. He’d never tell you this, but it breaks his heart to see you cry. Fake or not.

"I...I love you...with all...my heart...please do not...mourn...too much. Live your...life. I'll see you...when you...visit my grave. We'll meet again someday...my love." He then “dies” and you lay him down, putting your head on his chest and start crying harder.

His hand that is facing away from the students comes to hold yours, making sure no one can see it. You then lift your head, smile brightly, and say dramatically, "And scene."

Everyone starts to clap at the well preformed scene. Well, everyone except Elizabeth, who seems to be pouting. Some even teared up a bit and the teacher looks like she’s about to cry. Were you really that good?

"Good job! Very well done!" You take your seats and you wipe your face off with your sleeve.

"I didn't think you would go that far."

You turn to Ciel with a sheepish smile and say, "Well, if we wanted a good grade, I had to make it good." You sniffle at the end of your sentence and Ciel wipes a spot on your cheek that you had missed.

"Well, we definitely got an A, so good job." You smile even more at him and then focus on the next act that’s coming up after you. When the bell rings, signaling class is over, you and Ciel stand and start heading out together.

"Ciel!" Elizabeth shouts, dragging it out as she always does. Ciel gives a big sigh and looks at you as if saying “Help me.”

You still don’t understand why he’s dating her if he can’t stand her. Maybe he just doesn’t want to be lonely? He’s dating her out of pity?

You laugh while shrugging, teasingly saying, "Duty calls, I suppose." With that said, you give him a wink and make your way to lunch.

When you get your food, you sit down with the gang and Mey-Rin instantly says hello. When you look at Mey-Rin, her eyes widen with worry as she shouts, "Have you been crying? What's wrong? What happened?" You smile at her concern and shake your head as you explain what happened lasts period.

"I'm fine, Mey-Rin. We had to do a script in English, and in mine, I had to cry."

"Why'd you have to do that?" Finny asks curiously.

"Ciel and I were given romance and his character was dying. He confessed his love for me right before dying," you explain like it’s nothing important, opening up your water bottle. The others give each other a look like they knew something you don’t. "What? What is it?"

They all snap their heads towards you and quickly exclaim all at once, "Nothing!" You stare at them for a bit longer, obviously suspicious, before shrugging it off and beginning to eat.

"Hey, speaking of Ciel and Lizzy, where are they?" Bard pipes up. You look around the cafeteria and notice that they are, in fact, not here yet.

“I’m not sure. They were right behind me.”

Just then, you hear the doors to the cafeteria fly open followed by familiar voices arguing. Ciel is walking towards you all with Elizabeth right behind him with tears running down her face.

"Why would you say that? We've been dating for two years and you just want to end it? What did I ever do wrong?" she shouts. Some people look, but most knew not to bug in on Ciel's business.

Ciel sits down next to you without grabbing food and says nothing, wanting the conversation to be over.

"Is it (Y/n)? Huh? Is it? You always defend her in our arguments, so it has to be!" You whirl your head around to face her at the mention of your name. You?

You stand up as you inquire, "Me? What did I do? I didn't do anything, so don't drag me into this!”

She walks up to you and gets close to your face, saying as she does so, "It’s always you! (Y/n) this, (Y/n) that! I always knew you had a thing for him, but for him to like you back? I won't accept it!"

Not to be rude to her or anything, but you’re pretty sure that if this gets ugly, you could beat her with your eyes closed. She’s literally a walking talking doll.

She then, to everyone's' shock, including mine, slaps you across the face. You stand there with your head to the side, holding your stinging cheek. You then slowly turn your head to face her, a dark look sparking in your eyes. Fear flashes in Elizabeth’s eyes, but she stands her ground surprisingly.

Right as you raise your hand to strike her back, Ciel is calmly standing up and grabbing your wrist. You come to find later that he wouldn’t have cared if you hit her, but he didn’t want you getting into trouble with the school.

He moves to stand in front of you and says lowly to his girlfriend, "Do not blame this all on (Y/n). She is not to blame for this. We are too different, Elizabeth. We almost never get along. Just accept the fact that we are done and go. Don’t ever come near (Y/n) again either." Oh, well I guess ex-girlfriend.

Elizabeth’s lip quivers before she runs off crying and that’s when you start to feel a little guilty. You don’t think Ciel likes you, but she sure thinks so for some reason. If it wasn't for you, would they have even broken up?

Ciel turns around when she’s gone and holds your stinging cheek. He sees the guilt written all over your face and says softly, "Don't feel bad or guilty over this." You nod your head and go to say something when the bell rings. Ciel gives a deep sigh and starts to drag you the opposite way of your next class.

"Ciel! What are you doing? I'm going to be late for class! Let go!" you say loudly. He opens a door to an empty classroom and lightly pushes you in. He then enters himself and shuts the door. "What is going o-"

He put his lips on yours to stop you from talking and you swear time stopped for a second there. You don’t have time to process what in the world is going on or kiss back before he’s pulling away.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to do that," he whispers before trailing off, giving a deep sigh and rubbing his eyes with one hand.

"Look, (Y/n). Elizabeth was right. It's always been you. I didn't want to date Elizabeth, I wanted to date you. I have deep affections for you and, according to Elizabeth, you like me as well," he stutters out with a blush growing on his face.

He actually stuttered.

Like, for real.

You stare at him for a minute, processing everything he just said. You then give him a wide grin, grab his shirt, and pull his lips to yours. He lets out a muffled, surprised shout but responds quickly to the kiss. He then slowly backs you up, pulling you to sit on a desk.

You never did go to the rest of your classes. You just stayed in the classroom doing, uh, homework. Yeah, homework.
