What's the story with Perter's eye patch? Did he actually lose an eye? Did he tear it out during a divorce? Does he still have it and wears one anyway for cool points? Does he just wear it so that if Elias tries to look through his eyes, his depth perception with be totally shot?
He's just being a little shit lol; it fits the sailor look but when your soon-to-be ex-husband can look through your eyes you'll find ways to mess with that. I fully believe he has two healthy eyeballs but insists he needs it. He'll change the side daily, and once walked into the divorce hearing with two patches.

even outside of crackfic shit seeing peter having unrequited love for elias puts so much shit he does in a more understanding light. of course an avatar of the lonely loves the guy who will never love anyone. funding the institute for years, not spoiling elias’ win when doing so wouldve literally saved his life. dropping everything when elias was imprisoned to run the institute in his absence.

WA Labor has announced it'll abolish the Gender Reassignment Board!!! This could be a massive benefit to trans people across the state as WA's gender recognition laws are the worst in the country - and that board where you need to prove you're trans is a major and pointless hurdle.
This is a shift from their previous lack of commitment, saying it was a post 2025 election issue. But thanks to everyone who contacted MPs, put pressure, and made a noise about this it seems like Labor has realised it'll lose support by the LGBTQIA+ community if it doesn't take action it's been promoting to do for 7+ years.
So good work everyone!
The thing is: WA Labor also announced back in 2022 they'd ban conversion therapy by the end of 2023 but then simply didn't. Don't be fooled: this is an announcement of INTENTION. No moves to abolish the board have been introduced YET.
This also means that people are still going to be subject to abusive conversion practices and protections for intersex people remain non-existent.
So! Don't stop contacting members of WA Parliament and the Premier and support campaigns like Rainbow Futures WA (who have a great email template) and call for more comprehensive reform - like stopping religious schools from being able to discriminate against gay staff and students!

When I started this push for everyone to tell WA Labor to hurry up and act on their promises for LGBTQIA+ reform before the end of the year I was thinking send them an email/letter asking them to prioritise it, set a calendar reminder in a month's time, and send another.
I've since grown so impatient that honestly I've been aiming for one a week. Knock knock. Hello? Still haven't decided to fulfil a 7 year old promise yet? Well, I'll remind you in 7 days. Hello? Still won't do anything about it? I'll remind you in 7 days. Do you not realise the urgency of this? I'll remind you in 7 days.
Here's a list of contact details for WA members. You too can remind them every 7 days to enact much needed LGBTQIA+ reforms.
