Trans women. I'm grabbing you by the shoulders and yelling. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE SKINNY TO BE FEMININE AND PRETTY AND CUTE. PLEASE STOP MAKING DIETS PART OF YOUR TRANSITION GOALS. WEIGHT LOSS IS A SCAM. I LOVE YOU. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES. YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL.
Finally had my first heels dance lesson today. It was awesome. And awkward. But every first time trying something won’t be perfect. Your first workout won’t be perfect. Your first essay won’t be perfect. Your first anything can’t be perfect. So enjoy the process, embrace the imperfection. I had so much fun today and definitely will be going again. And again. And maybe in 6 months I’ll be like the girls who could dance in front of the class, memorise the choreography immediately and look absolutely stunning. The key, as always, is consistency.
As much as I would like to say that 2023 was a healing year, and definitely was, I still need to learn to move on from the past. Letting go and moving on is the only way I’ll truly reach true inner peace and happiness.
2. Valuing education
In my opinion, your intellect is your biggest strength. Learning to hone it and always striving to learn more will only make you a person of more substance/value. Looks may fade (but I sure hope it’s no time soon lol), but your mind will always be.
3. Not being too hard on myself
As someone who always struggles with perfectionism, I know how hard it is to let go and go with the flow. However, we are all human and sometimes, mistakes will occur. This year we should all try to learn from mistakes, instead of kicking ourselves over them.
4. Learning to set boundaries
I am someone who always loves so deeply when it comes to family, friends and relationships. It can be hard to set clear boundaries with them because I’m scared of hurting them. Sometimes, it’s okay to be selfish and do things for yourself. It doest make you a bad person whatsoever.
5. Focusing on building a healthy lifestyle
Inconsistency has always been something I struggle with, and this year, I’ve promised myself I would work on it. Creating a solid routine and staying with it will hopefully help me. This is something I’ll regularly talk about on my blog, because I know I’m not the only one who struggles with keeping a healthy lifestyle… You are not alone in this!!
That’s about it!! I would love to hear your resolutions or your thoughts on mine!!
