10 of my favorite easy glow up tips! 𐙚 ‧₊˚ ⋅
Tumblr media Tumblr media
get a gua sha!! not expensive at all and made such a difference in my face shape and carving out my cheek bones and jawline. there’s lots of good tutorials on tiktok or youtube!
tea in the morning/night! there’s so many teas to help with different things but my favorite’s are spearmint tea for clearing skin and green tea for reducing bloating.
ice your face! helps SO much with de-puffing and closing up your pores! dipping your face in a bowl with ice water can reduce inflammation, help with acne and reduce oily skin!
make sure to get enough sleep! It’s so easy to stay up scrolling on tumblr until the sun comes up but getting enough sleep is so important mentally and physically!
find a skincare routine that works for you and remember too much skincare can be bad for your skin! my skin was breaking out the worst when i was using a bunch of skincare and It’s cleared so much since i simplified my routine.
use a lash/brow serum! my favorite brand is grande lash and it’s a little pricey but using castor oil works as well and it’s super affordable.
going on walks! I’ve never been a fan of intense exercises and I’m a chronic bed rotter but putting on my favorite hot girl playlist and strutting on the treadmill/sidewalk is genuinely so fun!
rosemary oil for hair growth! my holy grail of hair growth products along with a scalp massager. my whole life my hair grew so slow and since using rosemary oil i have to trim my bangs twice a month sometimes!
i cannot stress this one enough..wear what YOU want! don’t let new trends or judgment from others stop you from embracing your true style. we look our best when we feel most confident!
most importantly ~ take care of yourself! make sure you’re eating enough, drinking water, listening to your body and being gentle with yourself always. improving ourselves can be so fun but make sure it’s not at the expense of your mental health <3

how to properly wash your face
this post is a bit of a spinoff from my last post, 'how you can reduce acne'. read it here.
now, properly washing your face has many benefits, such as:
removing buildup washing your face clears away dirt, oil and other unwanted debris, preventing clogged pores and acne breakouts.
boosting hydration regular cleansing can help to maintain proper hydration levels, which keeps the skin smooth.
maintaining clear skin it helps to manage the production of sebum and supports proper pore size, contributing to clearer skin.
enhancing the effectiveness of products clean skin allows for better absorption of skincare products like moisturizers and treatments.
promoting healthy skin by removing impurities and maintaining hydration, face washing contributes to overall skin health.
here's some steps, how to properly wash your face:
start by removing any makeup with a gentle makeup remover or micellar water. it's important to remove makeup because clean skin absorbs skincare products better, making them more effective. never, and i repeat NEVER wear makeup to bed. this will lead to breakouts and acne. your skin needs time to breathe.
2. wet your face with warm water. using hot water can strip your skin of natural oils and cold water isn't as effective at cleaning.
3. use a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser suitable for your skin type and apply it to your face in a circular motion. make sure to be gentle. avoid scrubbing your skin harshly as this can cause irritation.
4. rinse off the cleanser completely with warm water.
5. pat your face dry with a clean towel. i use a face washer (which is like a tiny, thin towel) and change it every 2-3 uses. do not rub when you are drying your face, as this can irritate the skin.
6. apply a moisturizer suitable for your skin type to keep your skin hydrated. personally, i only use moisturizer in the mornings, mixing it with my sunscreen. at nighttime, i prefer to just wash my face and if i have pimples, i will apply a spot treatment.

WHY YOU AREN’T GETTING YOUR DESIRED RESULTS IN YOUR GOALS IN LIFE
Hi girls!! Today, we are gonna list some reasons why you may have goals in your life that may seem impossible… Remember that these are only SOME reasons, there could be more personal variables to your struggles as well!!
1. INCONSISTENCY
The key to achieving your goals is repetition. You need to program your brain in a way that the path to your goals becomes routine, something natural. For example, if your goal is to workout more, working out for 20 minutes each day is much better than working once a week for an hour. Keep at it and results will come!
2. IMPOSSIBLE STANDARDS
You know yourself and your body… Don’t force yourself to do something impossible, that will only lead to a self-destructive pattern that will result in you feeling worst in yourself. Give yourself time to acclimate to your changing lifestyle. Let’s say my goal is to study more; I’m not gonna challenge myself to study 4 hours each day… A reasonable challenge would be to study an hour 4 days a week.
3. BEING TOO HARD ON YOURSELF
I’ve seen a lot of my friends attempt the 75 hard and fail and let it ruin their days. I find that ridiculous, I know discipline is important, but discipline is not all there is in life. Challenging yourself should be fun, it shouldn’t be a task you despise doing. If you fail at your goal, that’s okay!! Simply try again.
4. ONLY FOCUSING ON THE PHYSICAL AND NOT THE MENTAL
This 4th reason is especially prominent when it comes to setting goals to “workout more”. A lot of times, we workout more to see desired results on our bodies. Although desiring a certain body is totally fine, the point of getting healthier shouldn’t be to look a certain way, it’s to feel stronger. Having a healthy body, but a rotting mind is just as bad as being “happy”, but dying due to poor health conditions. Do your affirmations, remind yourself that you are loved in all bodies.
5. LACK OF MOTIVATION
Nowadays, I see a lot of teens start their health journeys because of social media and when they fail, they wonder why. A start to self-healing needs to stem from YOUR needs and desires. You need to have some sort of fuel to succeed. Whether that be an insecurity or a need to be better, other people are simply not motivation enough in my opinion.
so much love,
a girl unfiltered 💋

make it a priority to fall unconditionally in love with your body. it has carried you through everything you have been through up until this point. it is you. and you deserve to be loved fully—especially by your self. you cannot escape yourself and it is so important to work towards the position that—even provided with the chance to do so—you would not consider escaping. you are enough.
