Unpopular writing opinion:
We need more absolutely vile, unlikeable villains. There’s a place for villains you can "babygirl" but I’m bored of it. Give me the most nasty disgusting villains that will make me cringe into the earth you cowards.
There's this entire thing that's cropped up around 'likeable' or 'relatable' villains where, instead of being a cautionary tale about how we can all end up there or how people who seem lovely can actually be vile, it's become "uwu babygirl isn't evil after all"
And like there's a place for it! I like my fair share of babygirl villains! Hell I was there all the way back when Thor was released and Loki kicked off the popularisation of this trend!
I'm just,,, bored of it now. Especially when I'm seeing people do the whole babygirlification process on real-ass human beings???? It's gone too far.
Give me vile.
Give me the eugenicist who wants to eradicate 'imperfections' because he thinks he's an agent of God
Give me an abusive horrible parent but don't tell me they're trying just show me from their kid's eyes the catharsis of getting them the fuck out of their life
Give me the fuckin westboro baptist church for elves or someshit i don't care, just give me something I can hate with my entire being so that I can feel the rush of vindication when they inevitably get defeated.
There's too many irredeemable, vile people in real life. Especially as a trans person right now, it's easy to fall into despair when I see how untouchable those people seem to be, and how many people will defend them based on their motivations or some other "relatable" bullshit.
Give me a story that shows they're not as untouchable as they seem. Give me a story that shows there's always hope for the downtrodden; that the vile, horrible people trying to destroy us are just that, and they don't deserve a single tear. Stop trying to humanise our abusers, because we know they're humans but they don't care that we are too.
Just once, give me someone I can sink my teeth into and tear apart without the slightest touch of empathy. Give me what I can't have in real life.

Linguistic Incantology- The study of the properties of magical languages as well as the characteristics of those languages in general ascertained in order to gain mastery over the magical art of incantation.
Magiphysical Sciences- The study of Humanoid systems, anatomy, and physical health and fitness as it pertains to magical gestures and more physically involved magic systems.

Since I'm very new to tumblr, I've mostly been lurking, trying to figure out a) the community culture so I don't make an ass of myself, and b) what exactly I want to use this app for.
While I figure that out, here's a little about me if you're curious: Like it says in the little tagline up there, I'm a writer. Though I'm new to this platform, I'm not new to writing; been at it for decades. I started writing original stuff and fanfiction, though for many many years, fanfiction was my refuge, my safe haven. I met and made lifelong friends through writing it, and had a ton of fun in the process.
But, as is human nature, I had a dream of more. I wanted to be a Professional Author, so I stopped fanfic and turned all my attention to the original stuff. And I succeeded - to an extent. I published six novels and dedicated several years to being a full time indie author. But despite my plucky, can-do attitude, the actual money making part of this venture went...badly. 😆 I'm proud of what I accomplished, because I gave everything I had, but as it turns out, (to no one's surprise), the stuff I want to write isn't the stuff that makes money.
The books are good. This isn't the books' fault. Macro-level, I blame capitalism, but the reality is that I'm not cut out for the indie author life. Everything I created needed a plan to be monetized. Every ounce of energy went to "honing my craft" and figuring out marketing "strategies." It was soul crushing, almost as much as the shitty retail/officer worker jobs I left to fulfill this "dream." Writing became work, and I started to resent every word.
The end result? I *almost* killed my life long love of writing and storytelling. Thankfully, I pulled my head out of my own ass and realized I didn't want whatever this was. So I pulled the plug on the business, let my mailing list know I was taking a hiatus, and completely stepped back from everything. Even writing.
I spent most of 2023 trying to refill the creative well. Fanfic helped. A lot. I started a Mandalorian fic that I may or may not continue, (depends on where the show goes lol), but it was the Ninja Turtles who really rescued me.
The first fic I ever posted was TMNT. And in November of 2023, when I sat down to do NaNoWriMo and finally write book 2 of my second original series, I instead started the sequel to that first TMNT fic. Then I went back and started "revising" the first one, because if I ever posted the sequel, it just made sense. 😆 (Even though I swore I would never touch that story again!)
I'm currently working on both of them now, and it's fair to say my love of writing has been rekindled. I'm still debating on what (if anything) I'll do with either fic, but I'm leaning toward maybe one day sharing some of my work publicly again. (That's another blog post/journal entry entirely haha.)
If you've made it this far, thank you for reading. Stay awesome. 💜

You want Action? Adventure? High concept sci-fi with great characters and emotional beats? Some humor, found family, and a quest for revenge?
Then I have you covered.
Irongate tells the story of Kaya Cade; punk, thief, and champion hogwash seller. She witnesses a bark-skinned creature that plucks the eyes from its victims and now seems to want hers. And also Tenley Tych; tween terror out to avenge her mother’s murder with the help of superpowers granted to her by Titania. Their paths cross with many others on their journey, including the childhood friend Kaya drifted apart from, Jennifer Airhart; tinkerer and lighthouse keeper.
The end will be the beginning of a new world.

Hello! So this'll be a bit of an odd ask, just a little heads up!
So, I've been reading your To Cure A Glitches Blues fic on AO3, and followed you from there, but what I'm here to ask is about DID/OSDD. See, I'm creating an AU of my own that I want to make some what popular called SlipTale (you can find out more about it either on my blog or on my Pinterest which is linked onmy blog) and it involves the sans, Slip, to have DID of sorts. I know a small amount about DID/OSDD, but not enough for me to confidently write a character that has "multiple personalities", if that makes sense(?). Basically, I was wondering if you, as a system, would like to help either educate me and/or write Slip. Its 100% up to you, but I love your writing and the fact that you guys are not only in the Undertale AU fandom, but also a system that could possibly help, would help a bunch. I want to clarify, this is up to you! I hate pressuring people into things and apologies if I infodumped A bit! I really hope you consider this, and also, you will get plenty of credit if you agree to it, but you dont have to.
(Sorry I'm crap at reaching out to people and asking questions sorry)
*perks up* Why, hello there! It's nice to see you here on our Tumblr. ^^ Sorry about the confusing chapter, and we hope our responding comment helped a little bit.
Ahhhh! Of course! Keep in mind, no system is entirely alike, and we actually know several systems ourselves, so your Slip would likely be heavily based in our experience. That being said, we would love to HELP you write them, after you tell us more about what you're doing, but you should write them yourself because it is your character. ^^ Of course, we are absolutely willing to answer any questions.
Why don't we take this to DM's or Discord? It'll be easier than reblogging this fifty times between ourselves, and it helps save my blog as I post infrequently, to begin with. XD
We are incredibly glad to see people willing to seek out the sources for this beautiful community instead of relying on the media, which is a mixed batch at best. See you however you decide to contact us. ^^

On days when my day job is getting me down, I wonder if I could possibly make ends meet as a developmental editor. And then there are the days when executive function causes me to stare at the computer screen for hours at a time, or other days when I can't decide if I remember the description I just read because I wrote it or because it occurs somewhere previously in the story and I'm not sure I could actually complete a deep read for someone else.

Chapter 33 is up ‼️ I haven't felt this inspired to write in a long time, the dang story writes itself these days.
As always, this is an 18+, self-projecting, NSFW DBZ Kakavege fic about Vegeta if he was a human semi-verbal autistic guy.
Enjoy! 🐉🟠💙

Sometimes I wonder if things would've been different if my parents had actively supported my hobbies... They did support me, but I still wonder; would I have fallen in love with sowing if they'd helped me figure out how I could sew at home when I hyper-fixated on it when I was 10? Would I've been an actor if they'd noticed my recreations of movie-scenes when I was 8? They got me an eisle for Christmas one year, and I adored it. They found an after-school writing class for me, and now I'm an author. I love them and their support deeply! But sometimes I wonder what the little things could've turned into...

I've always liked things that most people would consider bitter like black coffee and dark chocolate because I am very sensory seeking. I've read writers give their characters preferences for bitter things to indicate that their personality is serious and brooding, but consider that a character might like these things because they crave intense stimulation... ;)

Q(&A?) with a Queer/Trans/Autistic Writer
I'm going to be writing some personal essays about my experience(s) with autism. Anything readers would specifically like me to talk about?
*keep in mind it is PERSONAL EXPERIENCE and I am only 7 months diagnosed, not a doctor or researcher on the subject.*
I'm also going to be looking at the overlap of autism with some of my other identities, if you have questions specific to autism/something else crossover:
1) panromantic 2) quoisexual 3) demisensual 4) transgender 5) writer 6) book reader

Notebooks from short story “Room"
There were always things that bothered me, some feelings or ideas, whether from books, movies, or something I hadexperienced. I kept a lot of journals in the hopes that at least some of the thoughts would be outside of my head. The notebooks always began somewhere in the middle; rarely was there an order. My thoughts were a mess in my head, so the same happened on paper.
The downfall was, of course, that I could never find an idea that I remembered writing down somewhere for a reference. But then it was fun to find it a year later and see how different the final piece turned out from the original idea. Some of the pages were usually ripped out, some even put on the walls as a reminder of something. I had one notebook that was completely soaked in rain because I left it near an open door to the balcony one summer night; many had coffee stains on them. Oh, coffee, yes, I drank a lot of it, I was addicted to it, and perhaps coffee influenced a lot of my erratic behaviour or falling asleep at all hours of the night, but I didn't mind any of it; I thrived in all of these thoughts, ideas, and creations of mine.
An excerpt from my short story.
You can read it on my Substack: https://open.substack.com/pub/linagmills/p/room?r=3b251o&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
