My goodness I love these two. it’s so much fun for me to make art from these stories I love it so much! I did keep things slightly more simple this time around but that’s mostly just for my own sanity. I get a little too excited occasionally and realize if I don’t reel it in I’ll never finish things 😅. aahh hello~!! what a delight!! i was going to link the post you're referring to here but of course now i can't find it. i do remember which post you're talking about tho!! let me gather some of the fics where i used this trope.

blood gone sour is a bit dark, (although so is doviola) but it's my most recent take on the dq bros, and has a decent bit of corazon-mask-wearing from rosinante's pov. (and even sengoku's pov). rated T, no ships, just mind the warnings.

words cut deeper is almost like a softer version of the fic above XD basically it's a... what if corazon's mask broke? and rosinante broke free just for a minute and said what was really on his mind? gen across the board.

broken fingers hold tightest, broken hearts bleed brightest is an M-rated crocodile x rosinante fic that spirals into a rosinante vs corazon identity crisis at the very end. mind the tags on that one too.

if you're willing to read a MASSIVE multichap, i do quite a bit of identity crises in 01746, but that story is chonky. M-rated rosinante x OC backstory fic. you could start at chapter 29 when he first takes on the corazon codename. a lot of chapters work well standalone in that fic too, so if you're really dying for the trope, i'd recommend chapters 32, 35, 39, and 44 XD

i am in LOVE with this trope and it almost bleeds into anything slightly canon i write with these characters. i do hope to do more with viola soon so this list can grow.

"Is Chan Hyung still your bias?" He asked, even Bang Chan felt a bit thrown of at his question, what made him choke on his coke was when you nodded a yes and shrugged your shoulders as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"What? Babe! I should be your bias" Hyunjin whined

"Hey! Look at Bangchan" you said aloud.

"Can you guys not speak as if I am not here!" Bangchan complained but you both ignored and kept looking at him. Bangchan just looked at the two of you and grabbed his bowl of ramen and walked away.

"If you were in my place even your bias would be Bangchan, Hyunie" you said patting his head.

"I think you are right" he said "May be Bangchan hyung is my bias" he said.

"Aahh my Chanjin heart" you said that left Hyunjin dumbfounded. But you were too busy imaging the scenes from Red lights to notice that.

You loved the sight of you boyfriend in chains and this song was really close to your soul and your deep desires. Well you definitely liked to watch him all tied up especially with the huge sexy energy that he gave off during the song and the performances or practice and being able to watch them first hand seemed like a privilege to you.

But being a stay you can't help but cheer a bit louder at the moments which was known as "Hyunchan/Chanjin" moments. And as you watched them practice for the shoot or performance at times lead to a huge blush creeping on your face and your whole face heating up. You didn't realise how long you have been picturing Hyunjin in chains and things untill you felt a poke on you side and you looked at a smirking Hyunjin who cocked an eyebrow and asked "What are you thinking about thats making you blush?"

"Oh shut up" you said and right then the producer walked into the room and ushered Hyunjin out as they were ready to shoot the next scene. He bowed at you slightly and walked away.

You were sitting in the practice room, as the boys plopped around in different spot tired from their activities of the day.

"Just one more interview" Changbin said.

"Lucky its right here" Chan chirped.

"Yay I'll watch" you said and looked at your boyfriend to find him.

Yes, plopped over Felix, who is surely busy on his tiktok and smiling at you.

"Hey you can't change my Chanjin heart to Hyunlix like than" you said dramatically putting a hand over your heart.

"Don't tell me thats my and Hyunjin's ship name" Felix mumbled.

"Of course, its one of the most supported ships" you said.

"What you you mean one of the and not the most" Hyunjin said grabbing you hand and intertwining your fingers.

"Well you can't fight with Minsung" you said and gazed at your hands and suddenly were struck by an idea.

"Felix gimme your hand" you said and without even thinking he put his free hand on yours. You opened your matching ring from your finger and put it on Felix's finger.

"I don't see how this is gonna help" Felix said, finally putting his phone down.

"Stays are very observant they'll notice you both wearing the same ring" you said excitedly and Hyunjin chuckled at your fangirl side.

And then the precious moments where Felix just:

You pressed your mouth to suppress your laughter and excitement.

After the interview, Felix returned you his ring and said "Now we shall defeat Minsung!" With a supposedly evil laugh, and you squealed in excitement.

"Babe, you know that I am YOUR BOYFRIEND. And you are not supposed to be shipping me with others" Hyunjin said.

"Aww babe I love you" you said and hugged him as he mummbled a me too.

182 Days of TPN - Day 174

Chapter 174: "A New World, Part 1"

A little too late for Peter to realize that his clan's duties had him trapped. He couldn't really change his destiny like the children worked so hard to change theirs since the Ratri were bound to keep the thousand year promise in check. The most he could've done was probably assist James and the supporters in their plans, but he was too loyal for his own good.

Zack being such a good medic by jumping in to try and save him. Doesn't matter that Peter was their enemy up til a couple seconds ago, he's still human. Can't say I would've been so kind.

I bet demon god got a good kick outta all the drama that happened ever since the GF kids escaped. The past few years certainly had to be more entertaining to watch than the many centuries before.

Because I love see the entire family interact with one another, I wish we got to see the raid team finally release everyone else who was originally captured so we could see them all be happy with one another and relieved that everyone's unharmed.

Honestly, what else did Emma & the others have planned? We never find out due to everything that happens in the demon capital next chapter (which greatly benefits everyone), so unless my memory is failing right now, I remain curious about this "other stuff" since the new promise has already been made. All that aside though, I'm beyond happy that Emma makes the offer for Isabella & the other ladies to join them in the human world. It's such a powerful moment to see our leading lady wish for her biggest and most threatening challenge to accompany her to a new world where they can all live a better life and I love Emma so much for it.

I'm also so thankful that Emma phrased the new promise this way. The fact she made sure to include everyone who suffered under the farm systems way before she even learned Isabella was alive or that she & the other ladies would've joined them and betray Peter is wonderful. When our girl says she's gonna save everyone, she quite literally means it, not just her family.

Don't fret. I skipped several pages for a reason. Next chapter really takes away many wishes of mine huh. I would've loved to see Isabella & the other women run GF in secret, if only for a little while. Hell, I need more Grandma Isabella action in general. Her extra chapter was fantastic and all, but more please.

Hayato freaking out over all the soldiers outside is so precious.

Favorite panel/moment:

Duh, of course Ray addressing Isabella and convincing her to join all the kids in the human world is my favorite moment out of this whole chapter. I've anticipated this mother-son interaction for so long and it was well worth the wait! Starting off with the ladies being so surprised to even hear Emma offer them forgiveness, it's understandable why they're so hesitant, as they firmly believe they don't deserve that chance at a better life after all the harsh things they've done to the kids while acting as caretakers. Thankfully, we got Ray coming through with his blunt statement and you can chalk that up as another reason why I love him.

The anime added in this line between Ray's previous panel and the next few and it's something I appreciate very much, especially since.. you know, ch177 happens..

While I absolutely love the idea of Ray calling Isabella out about her true feelings solely because of their mother-son relationship, this moment works so well because if anyone can understand the amount of guilt that Isabella & the other ladies endured, it's Ray. He's able to empathize with all of them since he also had no choice but to watch all those children who were shipped out over the years back at Grace Field, no matter how much they all wished to save them. Ray was ready to throw his life away for those closest to him and as a form of personal punishment, so hearing him express that he's glad to be alive after he believed his life to be cursed for so long.. aahh my heart. I'm so incredibly happy and proud of him! Not to mention how he promises that he (& all the other kids) won't hold grudges towards the ladies, essentially giving all of them forgiveness, is such a big change for him, considering he just called Isabella monster a couple nights prior to the raid during that conversation he had with Ayshe in that ch169(?) extra page. I'm sure Ray's still holding back ever so slightly when it comes to trusting Isabella completely and getting close to her, but this conversation right here is a step in the right direction and I'm so thankful it actually gets to happen between them.

It's so adorable how the rest of the children don't even question whether or not Isabella deserves another chance. They all forgave her ages ago and realized the love she had for them was real and I'm feeling so soft right now.

Even Isabella is surprised to see the children accept her so easily. Props to Don & Gilda though for keeping all the young kids under control way back when they first told them about the house's secret and the truth about Isabella.

It's because of those thoughts (that go unheard in the anime of course) that she openly questions how she could've possible earned their forgiveness. The English dub goes as far to have her say "But why? You should hate me" here instead which I'm more than fine with. Naturally, Emma explains everything and her words are similar to those said in ch177, so while the unspeakable event of that chapter doesn't happen in the anime, I'm glad Isabella was made aware of how Emma & the others truly felt about her since the escape.

I'm sure it took a whole lot for Ray to actually forgive you, honey. It certainly wasn't an easy thing for the boy to admit after all the trauma he's dealt with throughout his young life, but he understands that forgiving the source of his pain will help him become a better person and feel free. Also, love the idea of having Ayshe in the background of that panel with Ray just because of that late night conversation they had about their parents. I can imagine her giving a small "told ya so" comment about Isabella being a good parent.

Just like Isabella, I'm also overcome with emotion with how much this family cares for and loves each other. It's such a heartfelt moment and it means so much that this is how she truly feels about all her actions and her precious children without that mask she's so used to wearing to protect herself from showing any weakness.

I kinda prefer the anime here though since it has Isabella hugging them back. Dub also gives us an "I love you" here as well which absolutely melts my heart because they all definitely needed to hear that!

=͟͟͞͞➳❥ DURING THEIR BIRTHDAY, the time will stop and the only ones who aren't frozen are their soulmate and themself.

Epel stands straight, mouth slightly open and a fancy cup filled with apple juice in his hand. Glancing around the room while slowly swirling his drink, he was slightly perplexed.

That's until he remembered,

"This is...the least that I expected..."

He said to no one in particular. Technically, everyone in the room are frozen so they can't really hear what he's saying. But he knows someone would.

The idea of soulmates was pretty interesting to him, though, he wouldn't say that he will be convinced when someone says that they're dating or pursuing a relationship with their soulmate.

It's a cool concept, but for the life of him, Epel never thought that it could be real. Well, until now of course.

With his drink still in his hand, he strolled through the lounge with a mind full of thoughts.

Epel is more than happy to finally be able to meet his soulmate, but he can't help but feel a little uneasy for what's about to come. Knowing that he will have to dedicate his life with them, having to take every single step with them, to spend every moment with them...

But how far can he stay dedicated?

Especially if his soulmate is someone he barely knows or even don't even know about. What if they're from another place? Does he have to search for them until he founds them?

What if they don't, like him? Will they accept him for who he is? Sure, it's pretty natural for one's soulmate to say that, but it's also so easy for someone to lie.

Lying because you're not satisfied with who your soulmate is but is too stubborn to pass it on because you might think that this is the only chance you'll ever get into a romantic relationship with someone.

Will he be satisfied with his soulmate?

The thought gave him goosebumps and Epel hates to admit this, but he's already—

A sharp pain pierce his stomach as he let out a grunt, almost spilling his drink. With a hand on his stomach, he silently curses at the table that he accidently bumped into before moving to the right,

"Ugh, doesn't matter if I know them or not, they're my soulmate for a reason. C'mon Epel, don't be so negative, it's your birthday today!"

Epel reassure himself, shaking his head and huffing as he takes a big sip from his glass cup. And it's true, if whoever that person is, out of a myriad of people in Twisted Wonderland, was chosen as his soulmate, then he'd at least known them for quite a while right?

Its not like the great sevens are doing russian roulette to decide which is for who. He's sure of that!

And even if he doesn't know them that well, then they can take their time to get to know each other. Simple as that. Although...

His mind wandered a bit as he hovered his hand over the door of Pomefiore's entrance. Since no one in the birthday venue moved, he'd figure that he might find them outside.

He can't help himself but prayed that his soulmate is a particular someone who he had been pinning for. Well, in his dreams maybe.

He shakes his head once again. Epel can think of the possibilities later, but for now he have to—

The entrance door opened in front of him, surprising him at the same time. He squint his eyes only to widen it after when he saw who opened the door and not to mention,

The other person who can move.

"Aahh!! Oh, Epel! Great sevens, you scared me..."

You put a hand on your chest before sighing, while the boy at hand just stares at you with a face full of roses as he can feel his heart's about to burst free from his ribcage.

'NO WAY???'

"First of all, sorry for coming a little late. The presents I planned on giving you was harder to obtain than I give myself credit for. But thankfully, I was able to get it regardless,"

You showed him the two neatly warp gifts in your hand, Epel's eyes basically just following whatever direction you move the gifts to with his mouth wide open for flies to come inside,

"I don't want to spoil too much but it's something that's correlating with sweets and barbeque. Uh, obviously both of those things aren't mixed in the same place, which is why I have two separate gifts in the first place, here,"

Handing the gifts to him, he take it with nothing much to say, "And let me help you hold that..." as you take the glass cup from his other hand and smiled at him,

"And last but not least, happy birthday Epel! May your wishes come true— EH?!"

You were taken aback when he suddenly hugs you, hiding his face on the crook of your neck as he started spewing out lots of words all at once. Most of it being,

"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you so much, I love you so so much, so thank you, ______,"

"WHAT?? Come again??"

Epel laughed before hugging you a lot tighter as if you're going to escape anytime soon. But knowing you, you wouldn't when you realize it sooner or later.

But for now, let him have his moment with his soulmate first.

hi lock!! hope the month has been treating you well

aahh thank you thank you, i appreciate it 😭

it's uhh............... it's been a Month... i've pretty much spent every day at the hospital hanging out with my dad until visitor hours are over. we're nearing the home stretch of this particular time though! he had open heart surgery earlier this week and everything went well, now the recovery process is underway. i miss writing so much.............. i never realized how cathartic i found it until now. i want to get back into the rhythm of things because i've had a lot of ideas that have been collecting dust in my brain. i can't wait to begin working on them!!!

thank you again to you and everyone else who has been reaching out with well wishes since that post i made on christmas, it's meant a lot to me. life can keep kicking me in the shins and i'll just get kneepads. or whatever the equivalent to shin protection would be. 😡!!!!! i won’t stay down @ god!
