stray kids as dads
notes: female reader, and you're married here. so sorry if anything came out repetitive!
Tumblr media
chan: chan, as anyone would have expected, is an amazing father, thanks in part to raising 7 other men for a living. you're so happy to see your husband and your son taime bond together over the years, especially over chan's favorite thing - music. he takes taime to the studio fairly regularly, where uncle jisung and changbin are so excited to see him that they barely get any work done. and when chan works from home, taime joins him by sitting on his lap and asking him tons of questions about how all the colorful tabs on his laptop works.
chan patiently answers all his questions, even if he's answered some before, since taime's only 7 years old and he doesn't always remember what chan's told him. making music is pretty complicated after all. but taime still shows a ton of interest, and always says he wants to grow up to be a singer just like his appa.
chan really is a great dad. he's very patient and always willing to help his child when he needs it, although he doesn't always make problems just go away. he may just try to guide taime through it so he can learn to make good decisions for himself as he grows. he's also very playful with taime. they love to play-wrestle, play any sport together since chan grew up incredibly athletic himself, race each other, and so on.
actually one of chan's favorite ways they race together is when they come home from running an errand or from picking taime up from school, and they run inside to give you a big hug. you just love it when they do that, because it makes you feel so loved and appreciated. the hug may catch you off guard while you're busy working around the house, and it may almost knock you over now and again, but you wouldn't ever miss a hug from your favorite boys.
"okay, buddy, ready to see who can give mom the biggest hug first?"
minho: while minho wasn't initially expecting to be a father, at least not anytime soon, he still became a great dad to your daughter, jimin. she's 3 now and absolutely has minho wrapped around her little finger, though he'd never admit to that. she loves to play dress-up with her appa, adding clips and bows to his hair, messily painting his nails, and putting shaky lip tint onto his lips. and the entire time minho just sits there patiently, smiling at jimin's excited expression and encouraging her with," i'm sure i look very pretty, sweetie. thank you." his face drops if he ever catches you laughing, though.
jimin also loves having lazy days, and minho never argues with that on the days he gets off from work. they'll both stay in their pajamas all day, watch cartoons, eat sweets for their meals, and take naps. actually the lock screen on your phone is a photo of them sleeping together; jimin in her little pink pajama set laying on her appa's chest comfortably, a little pigtail in both of their hair.
but what makes minho happiest is watching jimin play with the fuzzy trio - soonie, doongie, and dori. she'll take one of the feather toys and play with them for hours, if they have the energy. and minho could watch the entire time, sipping on his coffee and taking a couple videos. he's just so happy she loves the cats as much as he does.
"jimin, baby, can you look at the camera? hi pretty! can you smile for me?"
changbin: changbin was so ready and so excited to be a father. he just knew he'd be a great dad, with how understanding and good at listening he is. and sure enough, he became a rock for your 4 year old daughter nari. whenever she's crying over things important to her, like spilling her juice or missing her favorite show on pbs, he listens closely to her while wiping her tears away with his thumb. he then reassures her that he understands exactly why she's upset, and that things will be okay. he'll just refill her juice or put on another show she loves.
changbin really is nari's superhero. you can just tell how much she looks up to him already. like the time she accidentally tripped and hit her head against the leg of a chair. she cried and ran to her appa, holding her arms open for changbin to pick her up, which he did immediately. he held her safe against his chest and looked closely at her head to make sure everything was okay. after confirming it just left a bump, he rocked her back and forth, saying softly," it's okay aegi, you'll be okay." you came in from the backyard to see him rocking her in his arms.
she looked up at him with starry eyes, slowly calming down. eventually, she actually fell asleep in his arms, completely forgetting about the pain. you smiled watching them. he's a superhero to you too.
"want me to kiss it better, aegi?"
hyunjin: you could tell just how ecstatic your husband was to have a little baby girl, only a month old by now. hyunjin holds joon in his arms as often as he can, of course without taking her away from her time with you. he has a gentle, adoring look in his eyes as he watches her sleep, all swaddled up and comfy. he'll sit in silence for a bit before expressing a random thought like," she has your nose, love" and "do you think she's dreaming right now? what do babies dream about?"
he's told you before about how he's nervous if he'll be a good father or not, but you have full confidence in him. he's such a patient and loving person, as well as so protective of your little girl. and you can just see so clearly the excitement he has when doing simple everyday things, like helping you choose her clothes every morning and buckling her up in her carseat, babytalking to her the entire time. you can also see how he's especially happy when showing her off to people. he just beams with pride as they coo over her and say sweet things like," oh she's so beautiful, just like her eomma."
it's the best when watching the members argue to see who can hold joon first, and who she'll consider to be the best uncle. you and hyunjin both relax against the couch, leaning against each other and fighting the sleepiness that creeps up after many sleepless nights. you watch chan hold joon, cooing at her while jisung looks over his shoulder and makes silly faces. joon will be raised surrounded by so much love and support, and you couldn't be more thankful
"my mom picked out the socks she's wearing. aren't they so cute- changbin, make sure you support her head. i know you know, i'm just reminding you."
jisung: jisung was so nervous to become a father, wondering if he could really raise a child well. but even then he couldn't hide his excitement. he just couldn't believe he actually had a son of his own that would be looking up to him. junseo, who's now 2, is truly the light of jisung's life. (besides you, of course.) both of you, like many parents, had to learn through trial and error, but jisung is honestly just the perfect father in your eyes.
he's patient and loving, and lots of fun. your son can be heard giggling all day long as jisung plays with him and bbama, or tickles him just to hear that happy sound. he does the exact same thing in public. anything silly to make his baby boy laugh, even if people may look at him weird. you can just tell jisung's anxiety, while never fully gone, has decreased significantly since becoming comfortable as a father. he's no longer nervous ordering for himself and his family at restaurants, and he takes junseo to his doctor appointments on his own when you're busy visiting a friend.
he still panics just a little whenever junseo falls and scrapes his knee or catches a cold, but even then he's fantastic at fixing him up. jisung will carefully clean out and put a bandaid on the owie, and of course kiss it better, and he takes time to learn to cook meals that help battle a cold. jisung is just growing so much and you're so happy and grateful to be there to see it happen.
and like chan, he takes his son to the studio with him in order to raise him around music. it's a little more difficult to concentrate than with chan's son since junseo is still really young and needs more attention to avoid him getting himself into too much trouble (which he gets from jisung, let's be honest.)
"hey junseo jagi, could you please not climb on the back of appa's chair? thank you. ... wait- no no, don't pull the wires!"
felix: felix knew since he was in highschool that he wanted to be a father. especially of a daughter, since the thought of having his own little girl had always appealed to him for some reason. and after a long and complicated birth process that occurred a month early, you both welcomed your son theo into the world. felix could do nothing but hold his tiny miracle baby, his teddy, in his arms and cry happy tears as you recovered in bed.
now theo's 5 years old and while he's smaller than other boys his age, he's still a little spitfire with enough energy and curiosity to last him a lifetime. and felix is still absolutely head over heels for him. on his days off, felix spends time with theo by watching cartoons with him, dancing to stray kids' songs with him, and baking with him which of course always leads to some sort of messy outcome. but at least they're really cute, right?
felix really is such a great father in your eyes, so gentle and amazing at teaching. the moments you catch them in just make your heart swell with so much happiness and gratitude. for example, the time you were watching out the kitchen window as felix showed theo a bug as they were playing outside, to encourage him to always be curious about the world he lives in.
or like right now. 8:30, theo's bedtime before starting his first day at kindergarten tomorrow. you find felix holding him safely in his arms, telling him a story in korean that his mom used to tell when he was theo's age. it's sentimental, as well as teaching theo to appreciate the cultures coming from both his parents. felix, just like you, is nervous about sending his baby to school tomorrow, but you know they're both so capable.
"okay teddy bear, time to go to sleep. you need to be well rested for tomorrow. i love you, son."
seungmin: similar to minho, seungmin never expected to be a father. like at all in his entire life. but when it happened unexpectedly, he was supported by family and his closest friends, and he gradually developed more confidence in himself. as each day with his little girl chin-sun passed by, seungmin felt more and more love and comfort. chin-sun brought him comfort.
she still does to this day, as she grows closer to turning 3 years old. you can see the comfort seungmin feels in the way he picks your little girl up to playfully spin her around, or the way he lets her wear his shirt after bathtime even if it's the size of a tent on her. the way he kisses her forehead every night after she falls asleep, and the way he sings to her at least once every day.
like right now, as it's cleanup time in chin-sun's play room before dinner, you can hear seungmin singing. it's a little distant over the bubbling of the food on the stovetop, but you know it by heart and hum along to yourself anyway. it's called "the cleanup" song and seungmin made it up himself to encourage your little girl to have fun while doing things she's supposed to do. there's songs for bathtime, bedtime, driving to grandma's house, and so on. it's so creative, and one of the cutest things you've ever seen your husband do.
you know that some people who don't know him well may find seungmin blunt or standoffish, but you know how he really is. he'd do anything for his two favorite girls, and he becomes a better dad day by day, if that's even possible.
"okay silly, time to go eat. you did a great job singing! you'll be just like your appa one day, right? i already bet your eomma that you will so."
jeongin: jeongin honestly never thought much about kids or having them. but the day you announced you were pregnant, he was immediately filled with determination to take very good care of his wife and child. he worked so hard right off the bat, like reading books on pregnancy and birthing or calling his dad to ask for advice on being one himself. of course as you were farther along in your pregnancy, the more protective jeongin got. he hardly let you do anything, because all he wanted was for you to relax and stay safe.
the day your son haneul came along, jeongin was just beaming with pride, and he told you multiple times how thankful he was to you for providing him with something so precious. that night in the hospital that you were kept in overnight just to be safe, jeongin once again promised himself to be the best father and husband he could ever be before dozing off in the rickety old chair placed right next to your bed.
now, a year later, haneul really is just one happy little boy. always smiling and giggling, and he absolutely loves giving people hugs and kisses. jeongin was never the overly affectionate type, but now all he loves to do is give his son some hugs and kisses. his uncles absolutely adore it as well and love to babysit him when possible. basically, haneul just has a way of making everyone around him happy.
you're so thankful your husband spends these happy moments with your son the most. little things like seeing jeongin pick cute little designer shoes for hanuel's outfits, or seeing him patiently let haneul climb all over him as he sits on the couch. it's just so sweet to see. jeongin really did turn out to be the amazing father he promised to be, didn't he?
"having fun, son? yeah? ah hannie, lift your leg a little bit, you got appa's hair."

i see some push back these days at the idea of "fandom adults" because there are plenty of adult fans of children's media who aren't automatically uncomfortable to be around, and especially because people who tend to love children's media to a "weird" degree are usually autistic people. but to me an adult fan and Fandom Adult are completely different concepts. i have literally no problem with 30 year olds who collect ducktales merchandise, or know everything there is to know about teenage mutant ninja turtles, or even adults who watch and love modern cartoons for children ranging anywhere from the owl house to the amazing world of gumball to fucking bluey. in fact, i think that's fucking awesome! i think that genuinely loving something so much even if it's intended for a younger audience most of the time is great! i think people who know everything there is to know about the ice age movies keep this world spinning. there's nothing i enjoy more than somebody telling me everything they know about something they care about.
HOWEVER. the problem begins when you get legions of adult fans in fandom spaces primarily for kids that expect the show or the fandom space to cater to THEM. when a bunch of adults start getting very invested in shipping child characters to an uncomfortable degree or expecting the show to be darker than it is and enjoy these things through an extremely skewed lens, sometimes getting into fights online with teenagers because that teenager said that the adult's favorite non canon pairing makes them uncomfortable, THAT fucking sucks. when you start to try and force kids media to cater to YOU, that is the problem. we see it now in many fan spaces here on tumblr, but if we go back in some years with internet history this can be applied to the brony movement as well. i think a bunch of adult men coming together because of their love for a show about magical ponies and friendship fucking rules, but a good chunk of these men either wanted to mold the show into something it wasn't, pushing out its intended audience from the online space or even worse making nsfw content of the characters which is where the actual problem began.
so if I'm hating on fandom adults, know that i am never talking about the autistic person who loves my little pony and collects all of the dolls, i am talking about the person who refuses to acknowledge that not all spaces should cater towards you.

Hello hello!
I was rereading Choi Han’s indignity test for the thousandth time (I need more little rok soo pls I'm desperate) and the thing that catches my attention now is the clues.
It says food, warm home, clean clothes, and abundance of food for dinner.
Not thinking about any other clues the author did not show us (there was definitely so much more; we were robbed–) because that would drive me insane from what we know so far (there’s so much yet so little I wanna cry).
Anyway, some found it confusing how there were two notifications about ‘food’ and ‘abundance of food for dinner’ so now I want to word vomit about it.
There is a difference between having food to eat at all and being in front of so much food there’s no way you could eat it all.
Food in general was scarce for Kim Rok Soo at that age (well, at most of his ages but anyway) so imagine being Rok Soo and letting a stranger take you to their house because you want to avoid your own and instead of the things you probably had been expecting, this total stranger just.  Started putting food in front of you and tells you to eat.  To eat all you wanted.  And he leaves for a bit and Rok Soo enjoys the cartoons you rarely get to watch because the TV makes too much noise and you don't want to be locked away in your cold and dark room again.  But then the guy comes back with even more food and when you tell him you’re full he looks.  Devastated.  And the man hides the food he thought you didn’t see, which is so ridiculous you almost crack a smile, until he brings out an apple pie, and now you’re baffled.
And what really gets me is that Choi Han calls him a good boy.  And little Rok Soo looks baffled.  And there is no notification about comfort or praise covering up his indignity.
Which implies he is already at that stage where he does not know how to take compliments seriously and just assumes the person is either lying or stupid (which may track in his logic for this stranger that brought some random kid home and just started feeding him).
Or it implies that compliments and praise were never something Kim Rok Soo thought of wanting.
You can’t focus on wanting to be loved if your priority has to be finding a way to survive.
Which tears my heart into pieces because.  This little baby, o my lord, I wish you could feel safe enough to want someone to say something nice about you, that you lived well enough to be concerned about people liking you.  I wish he knew that there would be people who loved him, waiting for him in the future, and that he would not only feel lost forever.  I wish he was living well enough to want to delve into his favorite books with open fervor, talking with others who were reading the same thing and discovering a new way to see a story.  I wish he could feel safe enough to express himself in any other way that did not say ‘it does not matter much what happens anymore’ and ‘I don’t have the strength to go against all of this despair’.  Because this little kid grows up to be so strong, in ways he can’t even see in himself because he’s too busy lifting other people up from groundless depths.
And he grows up to be something so big, and so warm that it’s such a happy miracle he survived the environments he lived through.  And even after suffering so much loss and failure, he still can’t help caring for people.  And he does it in a way he is conscious of, but he explains it away as a strategy to survive, and it’s his selfish way of finding solace in bright young futures he never had.  Because he needs to justify it.  Because simple kindness can be thrown away and mistrusted so easily, and it can vanish in an instant.
So he explains it away as a selfish action when he wishes to find solace in saving others.
In becoming the comfort to others he did not get.
In becoming the person he wanted to save him.

babysitting. / pablo gavi.
Tumblr media
request: it’s me again! hi, i was wondering if you could write a fic where reader’s little sister absolutely loves gavi (she’s like 6-7ish) and she has a lil crush on him (can’t blame her) and wants him to color with her and he watches movies with her!! ily 🫶
summary: you and gavi babysit your little sister while your parents are out of town. what you didn't expect was for her to take away your boyfriend.
You were an only child for 14 years of your life, so when your mom told you 6 years ago that she's pregnant, it was a big shock. But you loved your little sister, and even if you were already in college and living with your boyfriend, that didn't stop you from seeing her all the time, you and Gavi taking her out to get ice cream and having sleepovers with her as often as your schedule let you.
"Bebé, I got the guest room all set up for her." Gavi yelled from the living room, you were in the kitchen making some nuggets for you three to eat when she gets here.
You checked the time just as you heard a knock on your door, Gavi jumping up from the couch and following you to welcome the guests.
Opening the door, your parents and little sister, Ella, were standing there. As soon as Ella saw your boyfriend smiling down at her, she instantly jumped into his arms, even pushing you out of the way.
"Hola, guapa." Gavi said to her bending down and hugging her before picking her up in his arms.
You smiled at the interaction, giving Ella a few kisses to her chubby cheeks and stroking her gorgeous blonde hair.
"You wanna come in?" You asked your parents, your dad passing Gavi Ella's backpack.
"No, no. We should get going, we're late to the airport anyways. We will be back to pick her up at the end of the weekend." Your mom said playing with her coat.
"You two have fun in Italy, me and Pablo will take care of the little demon." You said to your mom with a little laugh, trying to cheer her up as you knew how nervous she was to leave Ella behind for so many days.
"I know, I know." Your mom sighed before hugging Ella who was still in your boyfriends arms. "If anything happens, please, call me. And I mean it Pablo, I know Y/N wouldn't call me so that she doesn't make me worry."
"Don't worry, Mrs. Y/L/N. I'll take care of my girls." Gavi reassured your mom, putting an arm around your shoulder and pulling you close to his chest.
After more goodbyes, kisses and hugs, Ella and Gavi were playing with the dolls in the living room, while you searched for Ella's favorite cartoon in the TV.
"Are you sure it's on right now, El?" You asked her getting frustrated, you knew how impatient she could get after a while and a screaming kid was the last thing you needed right now.
But it wasn't the case for screaming, as Gavi was so good with her, he totally made sure her whole attention would be on them playing dolls. After 5 minutes, she forgot she even wanted to watch a cartoon, and instead, she was now showing you and Gavi her doll collection.
"Which doll is your favorite?" Gavi asked her, looking at her Disney Princess collection. He picked Sleeping Beauty up. "She looks just like you."
"Yes but she was saved by a prince. And I don't need a prince to be saved, I can save myself." Ella put a brave look on that made you and Gavi giggle.
"You taught her that, didn't you, amor?" Your boyfriend looked at you, knowing you would say something like that.
You just shrugged your shoulders "Gotta teach 'em young."
"Pabs, can we go to the park and get ice cream?" Ella asked your boyfriend with pleading eyes.
"But I made you nuggets." You said almost offended that your sister wasn't even willing to try your food.
"Pleaseee." Ella made puppy dog eyes at both you and Gavi, knowing how neither of you two could say no to anything she would want under that gaze.
"Fine. But don't stay out to long, you have homework to do." You said to Ella.
"Aren't you coming with us, mi amor?" Pablo asked you, almost sounding disappointed. He never told you, but it almost felt like Ella was your daughter whenever you were out with her, and he loved the idea of you two having your little mini me's in the future.
"I'll actually make some mashed potatoes to the nuggets while your out and then we can have that for dinner." You said giving Gavi a kiss to his lips, which he gladly returned.
An hour later, while you were vibing and dancing while cooking, you heard the door to your apartment open, meaning Gavi and your little sister returned. You could immediately hear Ella's little footsteps running towards the kitchen, giggling while Gavi was playfully chasing her.
When they entered the kitchen, you noticed some beautiful white tulips that Gavi was holding, a big smile on his face.
"Amor.." You said speechless, they were your favorite flowers.
"Me and El saw these on our way to the park, and they made us think of you, so we got them for you." He said passing you the flowers and giving a sweet kiss to your lips.
When it was time for Ella to do homework, Gavi sat with her at the kitchen table, helping her with in math and Spanish.
You were so grateful he was in your life, and you were so grateful he loved your sister as much as you, and she loved him just as much.

Pt 3/3 of the Babyspace Regressor Hcs!! :D
Some might be a bit out of character, but I don't like imagining Bi-Han as this mean, spiteful lover. Don't get me wrong, he isn't perfect and definitely needs to work through some issues, but he'd probably, eventually, realize that screaming at you for little things doesn't work in a relationship.
Tumblr media
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
CG Bi-Han w/ Babyspace Regressor Hcs
❄️ He does adore you, even if he doesn't always tell you
❄️ Actually really likes baby regressors because he thinks they're less matiedence
❄️ Like, don't get him wrong, he'll love you no matter what headspace you regress to
❄️ But he doesn't have to chase a big kid around the house, or have to pick up after craft activities (which he'll still do because he loves you)
❄️ But he does prefer to just lay back and cuddle, maybe watch some cartoons if you want
❄️ . . . Unless you're an active regressor like Tomas, he's gotta keep on his toes!!
❄️ You were just sitting beside him, how on earth did you crawl all the way to the kitchen and start chewing on a fork in the minute he looked away??
❄️ You just giggle and show him your new fork friend, which he'll take away because he's a big meanie >:( (and he doesn't want metal in your mouth)
❄️ Is much more willing to buy you regression items than to buy himself stuff
❄️ Your his baby, of course he's going to spoil you
❄️ If you mention you like something, or look at it too long, expect it on your bed with a little note
❄️ No ifs or buts, he likes spoiling you and he's gonna do it >:(
❄️ Doesn't NOT like leaving you with others
❄ ️You're his baby!! He doesn't trust others to babysit you!!
❄️ Will also act like your the one dependent on him (no one believes him, he's just as clingy as you some days)
❄️ Although he gets really busy sometimes, so unfortunately you do need a babysitter (being the Grandmaster takes up a lot of his time unfortunately)
❄️ Tomas and Kuai Liang are his go to babysitters
❄️ ^ And surprisingly Raiden? He's very good with regressors, especially babyspace regressors
❄️ Favorite CG nicknames are Dada and Bi
❄️ Got super confused the first time you babbled in front of him and wondered if you were trying to tell him something important
❄️ ^ Don't worry, he got better over time
❄️ Babble encourager, but also gets so lost sometimes
❄️ Completely panicked the first time you needed something and all you could do was babble
❄️ Favorite nicknames for you are Snowflake, Sweetheart, Honey, and Little One
❄️ Doesn't really like going outside while your small
❄️ Not because he's embarrassed or ashamed of you (and he'll freeze anyone who dare thinks otherwise) but because it's easier to regress inside the comforts of your own rooms
❄️ Although if you wanna have a snow day . .
He won't say no
❄️ He'll take you outside, probably making you wear an outfit that you can barely move in, and will help you make a small snowman and snow angels
❄️ Usually he doesn't do PDA (massive cuddle bug behind closed doors though) but if your clingy out in public, he won't belittle you, that wouldn't be nice
❄️ You better believe you aren't leaving his side when your small
❄️ No Sir, he has a constant watch over you!!
❄️ What if you got hurt? Or crawled and touched something you shouldn't have? He can't chance it!!
❄️ Because of this, most times he'll carry you around on his hip or have you snuggle up to him
❄️ If you're super clingy, that's great!!
❄️ If you want a tiny bit more independence, just tell him and he'll change according to your preference
❄️ His favorite activity is cuddle time, where he can swaddle you and hold you for hours
❄️ But if you like playing a bit more, he can do tummy time
❄️ Would prefer you laying on him, but he guesses he can buy you a playmat 😒 (he'll look for the best one with little to no hesitation)
❄️ Finds it funny if you try to eat his nose, but will redirect you to a paci or chewie
❄️ If you ever regresser because of his anger issues or such, he'd feel so terrible
❄️ Tries his hardest to make it up too, he never meant to hurt you like that
❄️ Doesn't yell at you while you're small, but there have been a few close calls
❄️ Luckily, he's learnt a bit how to control his anger, and will instead give you the most nastiest ‘Knock it off’ glare if your being naughty on purpose
❄️ Although honestly, your so small and tiny, you rarely ever get the glare
❄️ How could he punish a baby for their crimes? You never meant to knock over your plate of food, he understands it was an accident
❄️ If you use diapers, he'll always make sure to have an extra box in his closet just in case
❄️ Another CG that's very sweet and comforting when it comes to diapers
❄️ Although warning, his fingers are really cold >:(
❄️ Actually, he's really cold in general
❄️ If you wanna cuddle him, you'll have to wear a few layers (a fuzzy onesie should be fine)
❄️ He'll also wrap you up in a few blankets before cuddling with you, just in case
❄️ While he does keep most of his intimidating persona (it's hard to drop, even around you) he does try to be more gentler because of how tiny you are
❄️ If you call him out for It, he'll pour and deny it, calling you silly
❄️ If someone else points it out, they're frozen on spot (Johnny almost missed his photo shoot because of it)
❄️ He'd use his powers to make you little snowflakes!!!
❄️ Like Rain, doesn't like using his powers for reasons he deems ‘silly’
❄️ But is also very prideful in his abilities, and adores showing them off
❄️ I just feel like he'd really like tapping your nose when you do something funky
❄️ Doesn't give much verbal praise, more kisses your temple and gives you a treat
❄️ If you want verbal praise though? Just tell him and he'll try his hardest
❄️ Man is usually a very tough and strict guy, but you melt his icy heart <3 (hehe)
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
I actually really like Bi-Han. Some people make him super mean (and I'm not saying he's not) but it gets intense sometimes. :(
Hope you enjoyed!! :D

You probably would think he's weird for this, hell even he thinks he's weird for liking such things. Maybe his anime addiction is catching up with him.
To pass time he usually watches anime, typical of him usually picking whichever one catches his eye. Every since he was a kid he loved cartoons so what's the difference now.
Alot.
Maybe, again it's his anime addiction that has this effect on him but at the same time he might be a kinky freak. It could also be because of the type of hentai he watches.
He was curious, scrolling through some random website full of hentai videos. He stumbled upon a video. Of course he clicks on it, it's interesting to him so he clicks.
What he wasn't expecting to see is his dick twitch from the confinement of his underwear.
He had never felt an orgasm that strong before. Imagining an extraterrestrial fucking him? He was surely embarrassed when he came. Quickly turning off his phone, staring up into space. Was he like really really into that? Surely it was a one time thing.
The next time it happened, he deliberately clicked on it. No "im curious" or anything of the sort. He felt gross for liking it but after the first time, he really couldn't stop.
After the nth time he jerked off to some tentacle porn, he caved in and brought a dildo. A fairly large sized dildo, with a wide base.
He did anal stuff before he was even with you. Though he never took somethingー that big.
When he received the package, he held off trying it for a while. Keeping it under his bed where no one else could find itー unless they are, of course snooping.
When he took it out and held it in his hands his mind was racing.
"Fuck."
He grabs the bottle of lube from the side drawer, pulling down his pants and underwear. He squirts some of the lube out of the tube, warming it up with his other hand.
He prods the first finger at his rim, slowly pushing it in. He tentatively starts moving his finger, before adding another one.
"s-shit" he says as he doubles over. It doesn't take much to get him going, or to finish.
He curls his fingers up simultaneously straightening them out again. He knew he had to prepare for much more but he feels like he can cum just from his fingers.
He adds a third finger, pumping them in rhythm. He felt like he could take the fourth relatively quick. Easing the fourth one in, he accidentally came. Semen dripping down his thighs and some landing on his stomach.
He whimpers at the feeling of him taking out his fingers. He reaches over for the lube he had early, grabbing the dildo making sure it's covered in lube. He lifts his hips place the tip at his hole.
He looks down and he can feel his heart racing. 'am I really gonna be able to take that' he thinks but before he can let his thoughts take over he lowers his hips on the toy.
"a-ah" he quickly brings his hand over his mouth, covering it from any noises he could possibly make.
He didn't even get to the middle before he starts to fuck himself on it. Reaching lower each time.
"c-cant!" Whimpers and whines leave his mouth as he bottoms out. Stretching out his hole, he was sure it would leave him with a limp.
He switches the pace, putting the end of his shirt in his mouth while he bounces. Mumbling random words that come mind.
He wraps a hand around his cock. Hand toying with his tip.
A specific plunge of his hips gets him cumming, head buried in the pillows.
"Mmph s-so good! Fuck."
He slowly pulls the dildo out of his ass, seeing the abundance of lube he use leak out too gets him hard again.
Instead of going for another round of analー which he knows he can't take. He opts to grinding on the toy.
He puts the toy underneath him, slowly moving his hips across it. Leaving a trail of precum on it.
He was getting sensitive, this being the third time cumming. Every movement makes him shudder.
"Too much!" He moans, hips never stop moving though.
Quickly after he cums again in little spurts. He looks down at the mess he made, covered in his own cum, sweat and some lube. He takes a picture and saves it to his private album. Definitely gonna revisit that picture one or twice.

Ok, here's my breakdown of Jessie Gender's video on NATLA. I decided not to post this as a comment on the video because I just don't feel like it would be productive, but I needed to refute the points she was making as she's a quite respected (at least, I really respect her opinions on things) video essayist and I felt like this video was...wild.
So, I guess it's best to just watch along with her video and read my commentary side-by-side because I don't give much context for my points, this is just a stream-of-consciousness style response.
To be perfectly clear - this is not intended to be a 'hate post' about her, this is just me feeling very strongly that the interpretations of things she had in her video needed to be talked about and another perspective given.
I shift from saying 'you' to 'Jessie' like halfway through (when I decided not to post this as a comment) but I don't feel like going through and changing all those, so yeah, just ignore it.
1) you insulted a martial arts kata as 'a mildly choreographed dance' - it shows a complete lack of understanding of other cultures and a desire to take a quick dig at something you didn't like in a way that insults a cultural practice. I really didn't expect to hear that sort of comment from you so it was pretty jarring when you said it. Ironically, you say that Sokka was wrong to assume the Kyoshi warrior's kata was a 'dance' because that's 'a girl's place' when...you literally made the same insult with not a hint of recognition just a few minutes earlier about a movie you didn't like…
2) I felt that the live-action really deepened a lot of the themes from the OG - take Iroh's storyline for example, fleshing out Suki's character so she's...you know, her own character and not just there to teach Sokka a lesson, and delving into how hard of decisions you have to make during a century long war. Idk, I'm just really curious as to how you felt quite literally the polar opposite of me
3) Sokka's sexism: the animated show handled it one way, but Sokka's treating women as 'less than' wasn't a core part of his character - in all honesty, it doesn't actually make any sense as he was raised by Hakoda (who we never see being sexist), Gran Gran (who left the NWT due to its sexism), and was surrounded mostly by older women. The sexism storyline in the cartoon was to teach a very blatant lesson to kids "don't be sexist, boys!" while the live-action made Sokka's struggles much more realistic and in line with the world building: he struggled with non-traditional masculinity and if he was 'allowed' to be that way while they were at war. For me, it's a much more important message for young men today than the very dated 'women can fight, too!' message that was needed in the early 2000s. It's very odd to me how you claim that Sokka always taking charge isn't ever challenged when...in literally the scene you're showing when you say that, Katara challenges him.
4) I'm sorry, but I cannot possibly see how Suki is her own person more in the animated version than in the live-action. She was literally created solely to teach Sokka a lesson and have no character traits other than 'I'm a strong woman warrior' where 'woman' means 'I like romance' rather than...I'm a whole person with my own wants and desires and fears that have nothing to do with a love interest as is shown in the live-action. You keep comparing the animated and live action as though they were trying to tell the same story about Sokka's journey with his role in the world, but they weren't. Of course Suki's attitude toward him is going to be different, of course he's not going to need to tell her 'you're right, I'm a dumb, terrible man, pretty please could you teach me', because it's a different dynamic they're going for in the live-action.
5) When Sokka pinned her in their lesson in the live-action idk how you got that she was 'demuring herself' to Sokka? Just as in the cartoon, he managed to get the upper hand - which she promptly took back, teaching a lesson along the way. She didn't make herself less so Sokka could feel secure in his masculinity - it's a bit odd you feel that showing respect to someone and helping them learn is 'demuring yourself'. I much prefer them respecting each other than the animated version of them seeing each other as less than and then...her giving him a kiss to prove 'see, I'm a romance-loving girl, too'.
5) To me, Suki beating Sokka in the live-action when the first sparred wasn't her being mean, it was her not understanding how much less experience Sokka had fighting - she genuinely thought he would be able to hold his own against her because he had told her he was the best warrior in his tribe. Her face clearly shows 'I have no idea what I did wrong - I thought that type of sparring is what everyone did for fun, why was he uncomfortable with it?' Not really sure why you made the connection that us seeing Sokka's abs was meant to indicate that his insecurities are unfounded when...literally the whole season shows us that Sokka's struggles aren't "end goal = big strong warrior" but rather "you don't have to be a big strong warrior to help, you are allowed to delve into other aspects of who you are and those are just as important". Just because he has muscles, also doesn't mean he's a competent fighter - those two things aren't the same.
6) It feels like you took certain scenes and made wildly left-field interpretations of them and then claimed that that's what the show was intending you to take from it. It's like saying that the scene that cuts from Sokka saying he bets Momo tastes like chicken and cutting to the scene that shows people cooking meat actually means the showrunners are saying Sokka is going to cook and eat Momo this season and that will then give him the powers of the Avatar. It's very clearly not what the showrunners were saying, but if you interpret it in the least forgiving way and then make a wild leap off that, then yeah, you might get upset with that made-up interpretation. Same with the reasons they didn't put Sokka in the Kyoshi outfit - there is 0 evidence of them nixing that part due to transphobia. I didn't see it as any malicious intent, just a streamline of the plot so Sokka doesn't have to go change before running away on Appa.
7) I feel that the live-action DOES challenge the Fire Bender's colonialist rhetoric in the Kyoshi Island episode, but the animated...doesn't? At all? It's solely about girl power - and as we see with Azula and all the women fire nation soldiers, the fire nation doesn't seem too caught up in sexism. You know what they are caught up in? Which you mention? Bender supremacy. And that's what the live-action directly addresses with Sokka being so surprised that Suki is able to hold her own so well even though she isn't a bender. He's seen just how powerful benders are (they destroyed his home, killed his mom, and beat his ass last episode) and it's in line with the worldbuilding that he feels like he's already several steps behind in being a good enough warrior because he doesn't have bending (a storyline that isn't brought up until an episode in season 3 of the animated show). To me, the live-action Kyoshi storyline refutes the Fire Nation's imperialistic themes much better than the animated show does.
8) The live-action's lesson wasn't that might makes right - Suki never did any strength training exercises with Sokka, she taught him how to control his body and use his opponent's strength against them. Fight smarter, not harder. Know what you're fighting for, not just that you want to fight. Even if you don't have the resources of your opponent, it doesn't mean you're doomed from the start. That last one is particularly poignant when we look at how much stronger the Fire Nation is than the other nations they're subjugating: it's the classic 'oppressed rising up against their oppressors and not winning because they just punched harder, but because they used what they had to fight for a righteous cause and didn't just give up because the other side was more powerful'. That's quite directly what the live-action was saying - the exact lesson you thought it should be saying. You have to do some serious extrapolating from the animated episode to get to those themes while the live-action drew that concept up to the forefront immediately.
9) Aang's journey to accept his Avatar responsibility and the previous Avatar's enforcing this is directly from the animated series. Like, directly. It's not the live-action show saying 'colonialism good'. Showing the Avatar power wasn't the showrunners saying 'see, this OP is good and cool', it was to show the magnitude of it - something the animated show does too. The live-action does talk about how terrifying and damaging that power is - literally the previous episode has Aang almost toss Katara and Sokka off the mountain and they mention it. Just earlier in that episode, Sokka talks about Aang almost killing them and Aangs major hang up about embracing it is that he might hurt someone. Kyoshi argues that not learning to control it will hurt more people and - y'all, individuals are allowed to have their own views of the power that everyone doesn't have to agree with. What happened to 'make strong characters with flaws in their world view?' did you all of a sudden decide that's NOT actually good writing? So having the Avatar who used her powers liberally, and as the video states, used them maybe too much, telling Aang that he needs to use his own powers a lot is…consistent characterization? Which is then challenged by Roku later as he tells Aang that all the Avatars are different and have different views on the power of the Avatar. Why is Kyoshi's opinions suddenly taken as wholly accurate in representing what the show overall is trying to say? She's giving her opinion to Aang - an opinion that has some truth to it, but also some flaws that Aang will need to navigate on his own journey. Kyoshi and Roku's stories are not compressed all into Kyoshi - only the aspect of Roku taking control of Aang and using his body to fuck shit up in the Avatar state is compressed - not the ideological aspects of it
10) Sokka supporting Katara's fight against Pakku is a culmination of his arc to let go of obsessively protecting her and actually letting her decide her course of action herself - because his arc was different in the show than in the animated series. Trying to say that the reason he told her to kick Pakku's ass didn't fit because he was never sexist wasn't the reason - it WAS a culmination of his arc, you just refused to see it by clinging to the old one.
11) The whole argument as to 'why show genocide' I already made a post about, but to condemn the depiction based on the way you interpret the showrunner's quote is disingenuous. Again, it's taking something and making up a narrative around it so you can feel justified in hating it. It's important to show a culture before they are killed because they deserve to be seen as people, not just martyrs. They had lives. They lived and were happy and had a rich culture. They were not just 'fated to die and be told of in history books'. Genocide is disgusting and hard to watch - it's calculated and brutal. Showing that drives home just how awful the actions of the fire nation are in practice rather than just theory. Yes, the airbenders fighting was 'cool' to see - in the way that all action is 'cool' to see. But no, the genocide wasn't played as 'look at neat fighting!' in the live-action. It was shown as brutal and terrible, horrifying and surprising, and the airbenders didn't deserve what happened to them. It also gives you a direct view of what the fire nation is capable of when they come to the south pole and the northern water tribe: you've SEEN the devastation first hand and you DON'T want to see it again. The threat isn't theoretical, it's very real.
11.5) To take a CHILD'S quote about the sequence being 'so cool' is absolutely WILD to me. GORDON IS A CHILD! No, he's not going to have the most sophisticated and politically nuanced sound bite to say about the action sequence in an interview. HE'S A CHILD! Holy mother of god. To use that to bolster your point that 'that's the way it was intended to be viewed and how everyone is going to view it!' is just…..holy shit. You're taking media interpretation from A CHILD??????? Do you think, if we interviewed a child about the OG show, they'd talk about the fucking colonialism??? How Azula was abused too and didn't deserve her fate?? Or do you think they'd say "The fight between the Fire Lord and Aang at the end was so cool!" Honestly thought Jessie Gender wouldn't try to bolster her interpretation with a quote from A CHILD, but I guess here we are…
12) It's wild that she makes the point that conservatives are incapable of reading deeper than just the surface-level visuals of a story while…she's doing literally the same thing just in the opposite way. The live-action depicted the genocide, therefore they MUST just want to 'cool' visual of firebenders fighting airbenders! There can't be any other things at play here! No story being told whatsoever because all it is is spectacle! That's all I see! Ironically, she's falling into the same trap of not looking deeper at why one might depict the horrors of genocide and the battle against people with no army.
13) Aang actually treats the genocide as more immediate in the live-action than he does the animated show. Most animated episodes, you can forget that it even happened, while in the animated show, it pops up a lot in some unexpected ways like when he's uncomfortable waterbending because Gyatzo had always been his teacher, when he yells at Bumi for making light of the genocide, his desire to get to the north to keep it from happening again, when Zhao proclaims that he can wipe out an entire race of benders and Aang says he knows exactly what that's like, when he constantly stays to help people because 'I couldn’t help my own people, but I can help them'.  Not only through Aang, but also through every child in the series - like with the animated show, the live-action shows how kids are shaped by the generational trauma of the war plus the immediate effects of it: Teo ready to fight, Jet making compromises to fight back, Sokka shouldering too much responsibility so young, Katara's trauma around her mother's death and her waterbending, Bumi losing his faith, Zuko and Azula being shaped by their father to be the perfect weapons to continue the war.
14) Interpreting Zuko's comment of 'sometimes the weak can become strong' right after his father mutilated him for showing compassion is not meant to be taken as a thesis that 'Zuko just needs to get better at fighting, this is what the story is saying, I am very smart'. It's showing HIS CURRENT view of the world - the idea that his father has taught him that he needs to be strong and Zuko has bought that and wants desperately to earn his father's love. Zuko's story through the series is showing that 'strength' isn't what his father defines it as (or what Jessie defines it as in her video) but rather it's strength of character - compassion is not weakness, it's strength, and no, that doesn't mean if you have compassion you punch harder.
15) The live-action show makes the Fire Nation MUCH more nuanced than the animated show - we see how Ozai and Azula aren't just maniacal villains, but we see the pain and torment their upbringings deal out to them, and in turn, deal to others. It shows the cycle much more clearly and showing fire nation citizens who disagree fleshes out the culture even more.
16) Jet was much more nuanced in the live-action as he's RIGHT about the mechanist being a spy and the king being lax in his duties. He's created a community of people to try to heal from the harm the fire nation has caused them and he gives actual good advice to Katara, helping her emotionally heal and remember the good aspects of her mother.
17) The argument that 'the live action is trying to ignore the past' is a massively simplified narrative. The live-action is showing Aang stuck in the past, unable to take large steps into the future. Pain, trauma and loss can anchor us in the past - it's HEALTHY to keep moving forward rather than only thinking about the pain in the past (ie Jet's advice to Katara). Aang was continually trying to avoid the genocide happening again while simultaneously trying to get past Avatars to do the big hard work for him. His lesson is not to 'forget the past just live in the now' but rather, don't let fear of what has happened in the past stop you from making a difference in the future. Yes, war is loss and suffering, but if you get paralyzed by not being able to prevent that, the fire nation will just keep marching across the world. It's about not letting the past immobilize you to the point where you stop fighting back against oppression - or getting together with a community to help you fight for fear they'll die just like those in the past did.
17.5) Letting go of the past is a buddhist philosophy that is a lot more complicated than Jessie is making it out to be here. Just as in the animated series, characters can come to realizations about lessons they need to learn while still taking seasons to fully learn the lesson - just because Aang said he's ready to let go of the past doesn't mean he's now ignoring it and all will be smooth sailing. It means he's ready to start taking steps to do that and approach life in a healthier way. It's wild that Jessie took the direct quote "I need to let go of the past to focus on my future" and then states that the show is saying "the character's aren't seeing future possibilities and hope, they're focused on the now" when, quite literally, the quote she just referenced….is talking about building a better future.
18) Then, she references later seasons (Aang in the fire nation school) a lot to indicate that the live-action is ignoring those concepts from the OG when….we're talking about season 1 here - not season 3. Why is the world not allowed to organically grow? Why would you make the argument that 'season 1 didn’t explicitly deal with these concepts that aren't brought up until season 3, so therefore they are ignoring them'?
19) Jessie uses a lot of clips from a Daily Wire (conservative talkshow) guy as if that has anything at all to do with the live-action ATLA. She's trying to draw a line between that ideology and the ideology of the show and I feel like she had to bastardize the NATLA show in order to do that so horribly, her interpretation of the story and themes is completely unrecognizable to what is actually shown on screen.
I usually agree with her takes on media, but this video was not it. Every interpretation she had, I interpreted the scenes/lessons in the exact opposite way and, I believe, I interpreted it closer to what the showrunners intended.
Oh no, i just had a thought: this is The Last Jedi all over again! I saw so many negative interpretations of that movie that I just sat and scratched my head over like "How in the WORLD did you get to that conclusion??" when I thought my own interpretation was just...the obvious way to view the movie. I had no idea my views on it would be so controversial. Here we are again. Time is a flat circle. Life is a meaningless cycle of disappointment and confusion, neverending.

i just gotta mention that like, the entire vibe of soundwave exploring functional cybertron and running into og rodimus was just an indescribably enjoyable thing. it was like watching a kid's cartoon where nothing is going wrong and everything is okay and you dont need to be stressed about something terrible happening, even while i was fully expecting something to go wrong, but then it didn't and it was just a good time. but especially the just like, sort of hopeful fix it note around rodimus, around all the sad and the suffering left behind by the ending of LL, there was just something really pleasing and cathartic yet realistic about how you presented it. like as the reader we could FEEL his hope being replenished just from knowing the jump worked, that somewhere, his friends are alive and things are okay even if that isn't reality for him, that's enough.
yes YESSSSS this is exactly what I was going for❣️ I'm so glad you experienced it like that! everything you've said is just perfect and what I wanted for this chapter ;A;
this is such a lovely sentiment and it will definitely be lost over time here on tumblr. would you consider putting this message in a comment on the fic? 🙏 you can post anon there, as well. I'd love for this to be connected to the fic: it's something I'd love readers to be able to read, and for myself to see again in the future.
on that note, sometimes I get lovely messages here and I wish they were comments on the fic because I don't want them to get lost ;A; I've never requested anyone to do that before but maybe I will from now on. some things are so pretty, I just don't want them to disappear
but, back to this message: thank you so much for sharing!! again, you've hit it perfectly and I'm glad it read in that relaxing, hopeful way <3

ok so i don’t know if you take requests but i love your writing and i had this idea where the reader and joseph’s daughter paints her parents’ nails or gives them a piece of jewelry and they don’t take it off so when they go out to public or a gala or something everyone goes crazy and praise their daughters work just pure fluff!!
Babysitters' Club; Request (Joseph Quinn x costar!Reader)
a/n: hello nonny! thanks for the request, i changed it from daughter to niece bc i thought it would be a bit cuter but trust me, dad!joe content will be coming in the future! mwah!
SYNOPSIS: Reader and Joe babysit Reader's niece together for the first time, and she takes quite a liking to Joe
WARNINGS: kinda more fem!reader than i expected, brief mentions of anxiety, lmk if there's anything i missed!
Tumblr media
Your place was a mess after just an hour of taking care of your five year-old niece with Joe. Of course, you were having fun and you don’t think you’d laughed as much as you did in that short sixty minutes than in the past week or so. It was a great way to take your mind off the current anxiety that plagued you–the looming anticipation of the Emmys was clouding your mind, it kind of felt like when a bathroom mirror gets all steamy after you have a hot shower, even after you wipe it down, you can never really get rid of all the condensation without being forced to wait for it to dry.
Joe knew you were a mess, he was a mess too. It’s not everyday that the show you both star in gets nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, meaning the entire cast becomes required to attend the ceremony, as well as the red carpet beforehand. That’s what you shared your worries over, the carpet. It was neither of your first times being absolutely bombarded by bright, flashing lights and the seemingly hundred of reporters begging to interview you, but that didn’t make it any easier.
You were glad you didn’t have to think about it the day of–at least not until you had to begin getting ready, but before that, it was babysitting time. Your niece had brought a selection of toys for the three of you to play with that day, from a collection of dolls, to a tub of Lego, and at least a dozen other things you tried to keep track of. Though her favourite was a jewellery making kit, complete with twine, lettered beads, and countless different charms and trinkets.
It was the early afternoon when she finally asked you and Joe to sit down with her to make some jewellery at the coffee table in your living room. You sat across from her and Joe–who she’d insisted on sitting next to–the three of you cross-legged on the floor. Some cartoon show you’d found on Netflix played on the TV, though it was mostly background noise as you organised the beads so they didn’t end up going everywhere. You couldn’t help but admire the way Joe acted around the pocket rocket. From the way he immediately knelt down to her level when he first met her, to how gently he spoke to her until she was comfortable with him–it gave you butterflies as your mind wandered to what he would be like with your kids, should you ever have them down the track, you simply couldn’t help nurture the idea.
You and Joe mostly watched her as she carefully threaded the beads onto string, only intervening when asked for help with the letters-first her name, then yours, and finally Joe’s. She was being quite secretive, not showing you exactly what she was making, and asking Joe to shield her work from your view with his hands as she focussed, saying, “it’s a surprise, Aunty! Don’t ruin it!”, making you chuckle as you were forced to be patient.
After about five minutes, she asked Joe for help tying up her work and snipping off the ends before turning to you. “Okay, close your eyes and hold out your hand!” she excitedly yelled, holding her creations behind her back.
You did as you were told, but not before protesting. “But what about Joe?”
“He’s already seen it, so I can’t surprise him!” She explained as you felt something slip over your hand and onto your wrist, hearing a joking agreement from the man sat across from you.
After that, you were instructed to open your eyes, seeing a bracelet on your wrist, complete with purple beads and lettering that spelt out your name. You looked to the pair on the other side of the table who had matching regalia–your niece’s in pink, and Joe’s in green.
You quickly enthused about how much you loved it, which pleased their maker–who was due for an afternoon nap, so after tidying and a quick bedtime story, the house was quiet once again.
“D’you really like it?” Joe asked as you both sat down to eat your lunch, which you’d missed in the scuffle of the day. “I only asked because I suggested the purple ones for you…”
You had no hope in fighting the smile on your face. “I love it, babe! You know, you’re really good with her, think I’m no longer the favourite…”
Before you knew it, your sister had come to pick up the little one, and you and Joe were getting ready for the event that you’d been dreading. Between the heels you could barely walk in, and parts of you taped up to create the perfect shape, you knew you were in for a hell of a night. In one moment of peace, yourself, Joe and the whippersnapper were all sat on the sofa right before you were due to leave. She was so enthralled by your makeup and gown–you knew she was going to be a glamorous one when she grew up–and she loved the diamonds that hung from your ears.
“Don’t forget my jewellery!” She exclaimed, handing your and Joe’s bracelets back to you. “Please wear them! And I’ll wear mine at home!”
You couldn’t say no to that face, big eyes and purposefully poked out bottom lip, and neither could Joe, so you agreed and slid them back on.
You didn’t think twice about them until you and Joe were lined up at the edge of the red carpet, hand in hand. You stood with the ‘older kids’ of the Stranger Things cast–Keery, Maya, Charlie, Nat, and Eduardo.
“Hey, what are those?” Maya asked, pointing to your wrists, right next to each other.
“Oh-” Joe gestured to your matching bling. “The niece made them. We’re matching see?”
You both held out your arms, giving the group a view of the letters, which received a chorus of ‘awwww’s and ‘so cute’s.
Without a second’s notice, you were corralled onto the carpet in a row, being blinded by flashes as upwards of twenty men yelled at you to look at their lenses. Though you’d managed to tune them all out, simply by focussing on the warmth spreading up your arm from the hand being held by Joe. You could see him out the corner of your eye as what he said replayed in your mind.
“‘The niece’, hmm? Pretty sure she doesn’t call you ‘Uncle Joe’ just yet?” you teased in a hushed tone.
“Well, maybe I’m planning on making sure she will, as long as her aunt doesn’t mind…” He all but whispered as you were directed to shuffle a bit further down the carpet, a smirk plastered across his face and he stole a quick glance at you. You felt your face getting hot, and you hoped photos didn’t catch your eyes widen as you realised what he was saying. “I think there’s another piece of jewellery I’ll need before that happens.”

camp camp s5 e1 review (MAJOR SPOILERS!)
yea i thought it sucked
i just watched the new cc episode and i thought it was....not great
the pacing was very off, i feel like they had the potential to tell an emotionally complex story regarding max's feelings to returning to camp and seeing so much different, but that's difficult to do in 15 minutes, i feel like it could've worked better if it were even just 20 minutes. also, in "With Friends Like These" i thought max's new VA sounded practically the same as his old one, but in this episode he just sounds...off. again, a lot of the lines felt forced, when i hear this new guy i don't hear the little shit-stain max i just hear Some Guy™. i understand WHY they changed the va, but as a poc myself i genuinely could not care less if a white actor voices a poc character esp in an adult cartoon. it actually really brought me out of it when max was snapping at the obstacle course because it just felt like nothing, like i didn't care.
i. hate. CJ. i think he's unfunny, i don't like his design, i just...don't like him. hoping and praying that gwen stays and he LEAVES or there's some crazy twist or SOMETHING i just do NOT like him. also, why does he have the authority to deny the campers food??? is david not his boss??? DO SOMETHING BRO
david also felt off, i know that now he knows the campers better and he's had character development but he just seemed disingenuous
the bit with nikki freaking out over max possibly being mad had so much potential to be built on and have something done with it but it just...didn't. it was just that one line and that was it, i was excited for some crazy conflict that didn't happen.
i thought the thing with neil's clip on earring was hilarious and im sad that it'll probably only be in that one episode </3
UGGGGH they CAN tell heart-wrenching stories, they CAN expand on these characters emotionally, they CAN DO SO MUCH and they HAVE....but, for me, a big part of what made episodes like "The Order of the Sparrow" and "Parents' Day" so moving was that it was out of the formula. i LOVE LOVE LOVE shows that set themselves up as being episodic/formulaic/sitcom-y and then slowly introduce lore and show that the characters are 3-dimensional and have conflict, etc, etc. but in this episode and in "With Friends Like These," the emotional story-telling feels forced. it's not set up like its a regular camp camp episode where something unexpectedly emotional happens, its set up to be the unexpected thing...which makes it expected and lose its value. especially because, back when i was SUPER hyperfixated on this show like 4 years ago, post watching "Parents' Day" or "The Order of the Sparrow" or whatever, when i rewatched other episodes i saw more to these characters hidden in little aspects of their behavior or their reactions or their dialogue that was there the WHOLE TIME, but seemed like it was just a regular old episode where regular old things happen, but now it seems as though they are straying away from that and instead having the emotional development and storytelling be completely unsubtle and on the nose. i suppose it is the writers' choice and they have every right to do that even if i don't like it.
speaking of on-the-nose, i wasn't a fan of how they just flat out said "max is upset that things are different," in the episode he said how he didn't like that everything was changing over and over and over again. and like.....take "Parents' Day" for example, max was being an extra asshole to everyone subconsciously before realizing and admitting the real reason, which was great and how kids work (because remember, max is 11) but in this episode it was pretty much "GRRRRR EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT AND IM MAD ABOUT IT!!!!!" and i know it was supposed to be like 'well WHY is he so mad about it :o" which could've been good and interesting if there were...buildup...or anything...and not "This camp sucks, but you know what else sucks? Life out there. Family, school, a crumbling society?" and "You're just as lame as before, which is why you didn't have any friends back home to begin with." its just like....come on. was that REALLY the best way to get that across??? THEY CAN WRITE SUBTLY SO WHY DON'T THEY!?!?!?!?
i feel like there is SO MUCH potential to exploring max's emotions but they just seem to keep being unsubtle and on-the-nose about it, which an emotionally neglected kid would NOT be. we have to remember, they're kids. i feel like the earlier seasons did a great job of making that obvious- making them little rascals, oblivious to things, mischievous, full-of-energy, little devils, the line "I saw it on TV!" from s1 e4- but in these newer episodes its treated as though that aspect is not important (note: i have never rewatched s4 because i didn't like it, so i am not going off it for reference bc i barely remember anything that happened) max wouldn't know that he's upset with them changing because of how lonely it is, and i know he was supposed to be projecting but the dialogue felt so forced it didn't even feel like projecting it just felt like admitting. i don't expect the writers to have a phd in child psychology or something, but if they want max's emotional reactions to have power and be meaningful, i feel like they should be a CHILD'S emotions.
granted, this is all my opinion. i'm sure for the reasons i disliked the episode, someone really loved it for the same ones. i would give it a 3/10, but there was no jasper, so it gets a 0/10. very excited for the next episode, the post-credits trailer made it seem like it'll be good.

🪄My thoughts on Cedric The Sorcerer🌙 (until now)
(not that anyone cares idk i just wanna talk about him, it's a lot of random thoughts and it's messy, but it's fun to read I guess)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Did you like that cute moodboard I did for him? It took me like 10 minutes I loved it. It fits him so well I'm so proud of myself for doing this. The whimsigothic aesthetic matches him so well I wish more people knew it so we would have tons of moodboards and cute stuff of him in this aesthetic it would be so nice. Ok let me start my post
I wanna share some headcanons, talk about my first impressions, it's not really organized I just wrote down whatever I remembered and the result was that. I wanna share my new hyperfocus with more people, that's what I'm doing here today :)
Everything started when I saw this man on Tumblr and though "who's this guy and why is princess Sophia next to him?", when I clicked on the hashtag out of curiosity I understood that it's because he's a character from the cartoon, and I was like "lol another tumblr sexyman again let's move on keep doing my things and interacting with my fandoms" (december 24)
I also mentioned it to my friend on IG bc I saw a reels that was like "you don't have any weird fictional crushes right?" and then proceeds to show us an edit of him with millions of hearts around. I sent it to her and said "omg I saw ppl talking about this on tumblr" and we just laughed a lot because it was something we did not expected (not mean laughs, they were genuine laughs of shock and because that was very unexpected like HOW IN THE WORLD, and she remembered him in the show while I didn't)
Some days later I saw more fanarts of him on tumblr and that made me a little curious, but not enough to search about the subject.
After some days I just couldn't forget him, and that's when I searched his name on youtube purposely trying to find compilations of his funny moments to understand what was happening
And boy I did
At this point was just having fun and laughing thinking "omg another guy who's sassy, has good personality and is another ugly-atractive character that has a fandom on tumblr, I got it, he's very nice" and I went to do other stuff again but this man just DIDN'T CAME OUT OF MY MIND
Just making an interruption here, I loved watching Disney Junior as a kid, maybe when I was six or seven, idk I don't remember, and I was a huge fan of Sofia The First, it was one of my favorite cartoons from Disney Jr alongside Doc McStuffins and Art Attack. AND I JUST DON'T REMEMBER CEDRIC IT'S LIKE I NEVER SAW HIM IN THAT SHOW, EVER. I literally don't remember him being part of the cast i'm sorry Cedric 😭 now he stands out so much to me, he's carrying the whole show on his back. Btw now that I mentioned Disney Junior I would like to say that here in Brazil Sofia First is actually called Little Princess Sofia, and Doc McStuffins is Doctor Toys. Sometimes I call Sofia "Princess Sofia" but I don't even know if that's how they call her in the english version, I watched everything on portuguese 😭 but ok let's move on (I have more things to say related to the brazillian dub, but let me finish my train of thought first)
As I was saying this man just didn't came out of my mind, and I was like "Oh no another hyperfocus where people around me will make fun of me because they will say that he's ugly and that liking kid's shows is something weird 😭 I can't take this anymore" and I tried to deny it but I CAN'T i'm almost making a pinterest board for him, I just accepted my fate (gonna draw fanarts soon and no one can stop me)
I found a list of every chapter he's in and i'm watching every. single. one. of. them. I watched the movie first, and boy this is gave me so much nostalgia because I remember some vague objects and scenes from when I was a kid, I used to love the Disney Princesses, when I got a little older I started watching Descendants, I grew up watching Tangled and Frozen and I swear to god I almost teared up from nostalgia during the episode Rapunzel shows up, and they didn't changed her voice actor, that's what got me. It was like travelling back to a time I didn't even remembered that existed anymore. Because since I haven't seen Sofia The First in about 10 years, I don't even remember anything FROM the show except for some parts, and that this show had so much old Disney energy that I didn't even know made a difference, but it does.
I'm sounding like a granny here but (i'm not even in my 20s yet) it feels like another time, Disney changed so much. Some of the new movies are good, some are bad, I see Disney much more as a company that wants money and makes movies instead of that perfect place where all dreams come true and every girl is a princess (Here in Brazil I never had a dream to go to Disneyland because Disney in the early 2010's invested more in products and blue ray DVDs in Brazil, since the parks were in the United States and we weren't really the target audience for that. So they didn't minded making publicity about it, so I just watched the movies and Disney Junior). Everything felt more magical when I was a kid, I spent my days watching DVDs and sometimes had some Disney princesses themed toys, it was so fun playing pretend that I was a princess and I really felt like one. Rewatching Sofia The First made me feel like this again because they made this show at the time that their public were HUGE fans of the Disney princesses and it has the same characteristics, plots, even styles of the songs and soundtracks, visuals + I watched it when I was younger. It's not just "princesses" it has the whole Disney girly early 2010's magic into it and it made me so bittersweet, even if they tried they could never do nowdays a movie inspired by that time and give me the same feeling as a REAL movie from that time does. Sofia The First: Once Upon a Time was like watching a new movie from that old Disney, one that I didn't saw before, but at the same time I did, and that's the best part. The end of the movie gave me so much nostalgia that I almost cried too. That experience was amazing :")
It gives me the same nostalgia that I feel when I hear that song "a dream is a wish your heart makesss" it makes me cry how I miss to be a little girl again (i'm crying right now btw i'm very intense with my emotions)
(And hell I don't remember Cedric at all, since when he was there the whole time? Now that I know that he's there I'm feeling like really reeeeaaaaalllyy vague memories are trying to come back in my head, but I don't know if my brain is doing this on purpose or i'm just confusing him with an equally vague memory of Cruella. I guess it's the first option, I'm trying so hard that my brain is making up memories. Weird.)
But yeah at first I saw everyone falling to his feet and even though I understood that he was very funny and had a well-writen personality I couldn't really get why people were romantically in love with him. Well um I actually got it, he was a good character and was one more of these strangely atractive characters that people fall in love with, I've been there too. But I just couldn't see what was so atractive that people were simping over him, for me at that moment he was just funny and fits very well the "let's make a fandom" type of character, like for example Preminger from Barbie Princess and The Pauper. But then I thought "idk what i'm talking about i'm demisexual lol let's wait a few days" (That happened before. Many times.)
And I'm like. I don't know what's happening to me I'm so susceptible to weird (in socially non-fandom people's words) crushes and I thought I wouldn't be afected this time. Just so you can have an idea some of my last crushes were: Dr Flug from Villanos, Jackson Jekyll from Monster High, Victor Frankenstein from Okegom, Raggedy Andy, Mettaton from Undertale (and UnderLust), THE Eddie Munson (for a whole year and some months, and I was so bullied after his "trend" ended because people said that his fans were cringe and everything (that's fake lol they are very nice)), 70% of my list are just nerds and sensitive guys with different types of mental illness yay my fav type
and now I think I'm feeling unironically atracted by this man it's just happening really slowly 😭 (DEMISEXUALS ‼️‼️⁉️⁉️💥💥💥💥💥👊👊👊👊)
I'm gonna be honest with you, at the moment I can't decide if I like him or not I'm so confused at the same time that I get it I also don't like how tf am I atracted by this man 😭 and then I'm like hmm he's acually cute let me search for some fanfiction
I'M SO CONFUSED I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE i guess I'll just wait to see what happens
you guys know that tiktok audio "at first I was like 'hmmm feet' as a joke,,,,, but bro....... I don't think that's a joke anymore...." (that's me rn but with Cedric)
Also I would like to take this oportunity that you're listening to me talking about Cedric to say the most important thing that this fandom needs to know:
We need more Cedric representations in Whimsical/Whimsigoth/Whimsigothic aesthetic it's like it was made for him just search that on Pinterest please you won't regret
And I'm here wondering what kind of songs he would listen to. I think he would like dark fantasy music, or witch music. I don't care if he's on medieval era and people didn't had access to a lot of music genres at that time, we are talking about disney nothing is historically correct
I can't help but think about Lana Del Rey but being a huge fan of her songs I don't think that it matches his tastes. I guess he maybe would like Aurora's last album, The Gods We Can Touch. I don't know why, it's the witchy vibes I guess. But I don't know, it's still not something that matches him a lot. EXCEPT FOR THE SONG MIDAS TOUCH FROM AURORA. IT'S PERFECT FOR HIM YOU GUYS SHOULD CHECK IT OUT
youtube
The cover isn't giving the aesthetic though, Aurora made this song for a show and then put the show album cover unfortunately. But her aesthetics are usually whimsical and magic, inspired by theatre, greek gods and tarot. This song is so good 😭
And of course there are songs like Everything Matters that fits his vibe but idk it depends on who's listening since it's not about the lyrics. The Innocent has a small part who matches him a little, the whole song has that witchy vibe dancing around the fire, I don't know how to describe it.
Coming back to Cedric I think my favorite scenario is him having an apprendice not too much younger than him. I think it's cute. I've never seen any fics like this (in fact I just read like 5 oneshots which is almost nothing) and if you guys know any let me know. I think it's just nice the idea of living with him and being his apprendice while having like a romantic tension between the two characters. It's cute
Also remember when I said I was going to talk a little more about the brazillian portuguese dub? So, something that I thought was really funny happened to me: In the first season he had his voice actor obviously and I was already used to his voice some time after watching the cartoon. It was very funny to me because the first time I saw a "scene compilation" of him it was in english, so hearing him talk in my language was fun. And btw his voice actor did a really good job voicing him, he (had a similar voice and) was really expressive just like his english VA, so like, really nice 👍
And then at some point in season two, from one episode to another, his voice actor suddently changed????? And obviously I got a little sad because his first VA was really good and I was used to his voice :( but the thing is: The new VA wasn't just a new one, IT'S THE SAME GUY WHO VOICED DR FLUG HERE IN BRAZIL AND I WAS LIKE OMG
THEY ARE SO SIMILAR IN PERSONALITY AND NOW THEY HAVE THE SAME VOICE WITH THE VOICE ACTOR'S MANNEIRISMS AND EVERYTHING (because that VA really has an specific way to talk, he stutter a little, sounds a little ironic but at the time really anxious, make some funny sounds for no reason sometimes like his screams)
I was really upset when they changed all the brazillian voice actors in Villanos, and that Flug didn't had his full-of-personality-and-expressive voice anymore :( the new episodes now have new voices and eveything, and they did their best, but it's not the original voices anymore and it doesn't hit the same yk? And then BAM CELDRIC HAS DOCTOR FLUGS VOICE NOW BITCH TAKE THIS
and the fact that Sofia The First was dubbed even before Villanos came out it's so funny to me
So yeah let me show you guys his amazing work at voicing two of my favorite characters:
youtube
youtube
After they changed Cedric's voice actor I was a little annoyed by the fact that I couldn't hear Cedric anymore, just Flug 😭 but now I'm slowly getting used to it and it's starting to sound like Cedric again.
Before that happened I could see some similarities between the two but I thought that I was just thinking too much and trying to connect two fandoms that I like, so I just forgot about it. After that happened my mind just blew it all make so much sense right now
And they are so similar in personality that I had to make a list of everything they have in common:
They work for guys that are completely blind to their talents and think that they're just idiots all the time
They have more potential than people think
Their projects/spells always go wrong because people keep disrupting their public moments, and so they are seen and weak and dumb (when they're not)
Science/Magic guys (they keep throwing liquids from one pot to another and saying difficult words, only for someone to stop them halfway and the substance explodes in their face, making them angry because this person once again interrupted their project that was going perfectly)
Self-confidence issues
Anxious mess, are always nervous and scared of something bad happening all the time
Childhood trauma because people never really saw their acomplishments and again and again kept repeating that they are idiots who don't know nothing (when they are geniuses!!)
They say that they're mean and they say that they do mean things when actually they are just really nice. They just choose that path because they think it's the only one that can bring them sucess and recognition in the future, but they were never made for this. They just do that because they want to proof their value to people who can't see it.
At the same time that they are mentally unstable, sometimes their confidence is so high that they start to act arrogant because "they're too smart and their projects are amazing": "I love what I do I'm the best sorcerer/scientist in the world"
But when they need to show that to people something bad always happens (because of other people!) And their plan fails, leaving them with confidence issues
"I'm too smart you guys don't deserve me"
"I can't do anything right omg i'm so stupid"
Their movements and maneirisms are so expressive, they're both skinny and tall and keep making those anxious poses, fidgeting with their hands, always anxious, scared of something, thinking too much and overall being nervous and ankward around their bosses
Boss just treats them as failures and gives them orders, in which they respond in the most submissive and saddest way because they're just miserable and just two little guys who are trying to proof their value in a place where no one even see them as people
But sometimes they are genuinely egoistic and egocentric because duh they're the best sorcerer/scientist out there, hello everybody is gonna know their name when they rule the world bye
They act so stupid and lovesick in their official crushes episodes, it's so funny
And even if we never saw Dr Flug's official face there is a design out there in the fandom where he has black hair with white streaks on his bangs so like 👍👍
Well um I guess that's all I have to say about this subject for now
These are my thoughts 🫶
I feel like I said a lot in a short amout of time but I'm here writing since 04:30 AM and now it's 07:47 AM so like. yikes

I just realized that I have never actually shared the end result of my tattoo. I love it every day a little bit more, least of all because it's actually got some hidden meanings and nods to some important things in my life. It got a bit long (and pretty emotional, oh my) so more under the cut if you wanna know
The colors, rather, the brush strokes in the background. Red, blue, purple and orange. If you know me, you know that I am a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fan. But that is not a big enough word tbh. The turtles have accompanied me all my life. My first pajama was turtles themed, I wanted to learn to ride a skateboard because of Mikey pretty much all my teen years. But most importantly, and most emotionally for me, I distinctly remember watching a turtles episode from the 1987 cartoon at a friend's house while my mother attended my father's funeral. I don't remember much of that time, only being 5 years old, but I remember crouching behind a sofa and looking over the back of it to watch the turtles have adventures. Maybe that's where it really started, who knows. I just know that these funky guys mean a lot to me for reasons I might not even be able to explain to myself properly. These colors bring me joy, so they had to be there.
And then, the sunflower. I wanted that there because of Mob Psycho 100, an anime that has not just changed the way I look at the world and at myself. I am the protagonist of my own life. My life is my own. If I can change then others can change too. It's easy to want to be easily palatable (is that the word?) for others, to get their approval, to get them to like you. It's taken me some odd 34 years to realize that I only have to be palatable for myself. I have to look in the mirror and see someone that I can get behind, a person worthy of love and friendship and I am worthy of it, everyone is worthy of it no matter who you are, how you look or what you can do. You are worthy already by just being you and even if you aren't quite there yet you are still worthy. We are all worthy of being happy. I am allowed to be silly and cringe and not act like my age. I live my life the way I want.
Because I am the protagonist of my own life and if I don't write the story, who will?
The last one is the crows feather with the green accents. This is a bit of an obscure one. As some of you know, I have written fanfiction for years. It got me through some tough times during high school. Then adult life hit and I stopped. I stopped writing my original stories too. I can't even say why it just felt like a chore, probably because I got so discouraged with my own skills and my own expectations for myself. Then I slowly got back into it, writing a real short one shot for Monkie Kid and realizing that I have missed it quote a lot. And then Encanto came along. This movie that has inspired me so much that it felt like I suddenly couldn't stop writing even if I wanted to.
And then I got the idea for "A place for crows" and the rest is history I guess? The love and encouragement I received where phenomenal. That story made me fall in love with story telling again, it consumed me for pretty much a complete year. And it brought some of the most wonderful people, beloved friends from all over the world, into my life. I am so greatful to this Fandom, to this story, or rather the things this story has brought into my life.
So the feather symbolized my love for writing and just fandom spaces in general, this wonderful microcosmos I can call home.
The brushes and pencil are a given, my love for art and drawing which have also been big factors in rediscovering myself
This text got long, I just typed it down without pausing and I'm not gonna go over it again for spelling or something like that. Take it as it came out of me, with all my love and emotional bloodletting.
Love you all.

In my opinion, the Hotel Transylvania films were underwhelming, cliché and too juvenile, they simply weren't for me. I didn't find the characters that interesting and so I didn't care about their relationships, the character I liked most was Ericka because of her potential as a goofy villain.
While I know it's a kid's movie, I dislike when vampires can opt out of drinking blood using blood substitutes. Its my opinion that vampires should be scary, and if they don't have to feed from living things then what's the point?
Do you like vampire-themed media in general, and do you like any mature vampire-media? I'm currently into Vampire: The masquerade which is an rpg taking place in a dark, gothic-punk version of the real world where supernatural beings live in secrecy.
I think they were good films, especially HT and HT3. They had alot of untapped potential I think. Transformania in particular did NOT measure up to what it could have been, and HT2 had it's problems too. But I liked the cartoony Addams Family approach and family dynamics. I wouldn't necessarily call them "Juvenile," particularly since there's a tendency to brush off animation - particularly cartoon animation, as being for kids and somehow not as valuable a medium. (You're also talking about something made by a person who was used to doing family cartoons like Dexter's Lab and Samurai Jack, and loved cartoony animation. So it's not surprising it takes a more family friendly spin on monsters.) Along with Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, it helped bring cartoony stylization back to modern animation, which it deserves respect for.
I'd say there's something for everybody in the films. Heartfelt moments, funny moments, angst, surpeising depth at times, even some adult humor. But they're definitely not for those that believe vampires should be scary or evil as the big point is the "Monsters are just like us" racism/discrimination allegory. Then again, particularly as a queer neurodivergent and someone brought up on films like Iron Giant, Monsters Inc, Megamind, Shrek etc. I've always liked films that humanize characters we're expected to hate and be scared of and show them in a different light. And I personally found the introduction of blood substitutes and animals as vampire food sources an interesting way of doing that. Particularly now I know how vampire mythos can intersect with blood libel and the HT Drac fam's jewish coding.
(Here's another read more:)
Now, I DO agree Ericka is one of the best characters, and has been at the center of my obsession. Not only is she a fun goofy villain, but she's genuinely an interesting, loveable character too with an interesting backstory who deserves FAR more love than she got. A beautiful mix of feral chaos and charming elegance, who can be just as nuts as the guys, and definitely not the norm for a woman character. Particularly a love interest. And like many in the fandom, I feel she would have made a BEAUTIFUL vampire. But characters like Johnny, Mavis, Dennis, Drac etc are also fun to watch and play with for me.
In terms of other vampire media, I actually have gotten into some of them, particularly with my recent HT obsession! Dracula Dead and Loving it is a recent watch I liked. It has the tongue-in-cheek humor of HT but being more like the book and other Dracula adaptations, it's darker and more adult. Rocky Horror Picture Show's vampire adjacent and is pretty fun, particularly the music. As is Little Shop of Horrors (both versions of the musical film AND the OG black and white one.) And I've been meaning to watch the Van Helsing film. I've also read Dracula Daily and plan to do so again this year. While not exactly SUPER mature depending on how you define that, I've also played some of the Monster Prom, Camp, Roadtrip series which includes vampire characters. Alot of my "horror" stuff tends to be more like Nightmare before Christmas, Ghostbusters, Monster House, Corpse Bride, Gremlins, Addams Family (both Live action films and the TV series, plus I plan to watch the animated film some point,) Blithe Spirit, Bendy and the like. More family friendly type stuff.
Coraline (and Laika in general,) Bendy, Poltergeist (OG), The Twilight Zone (OG and one of the new series') and sometimes Doctor Who are probably the most hard horror things I've really gotten into. I've kind of dipped into FNAF on occasion, Quite a few of my friends are into Undertale, and have meant to watch Supernatural as well. But never fully got to watching either of those.

Hey guys, we're posting some Rogue today because X-Men 97 is here, a show I don't think I care much about except here I am posting Rogue because at the end of the day I deeply care about the X-Men in a way you can only really care about things that were a formative part of your existence. The show is likely to not be for me, it will sort of annoy me because I have a pretty negative reaction to nostalgia and don't watch shows for children so whichever way it goes, a kids cartoon or Gen X nostalgia bait I am expecting to not love it but it is the X-Men so it will be a thing I will be aware of and hear about and on some level care about no matter what. In the 1960's and early 1970's all the horniest comic book fans read Legion of Superheroes, which sounds crazy to anyone who is currently googling Legion of Superheroes but it was basically written as a romance comic set in a sci-fi future with teenage superheroes so it encouraged legions of adoring, horny fans who wrote the earliest versions of fan fiction. Anyway, by the late 1970's that had shifted to the X-Men. The X-Men were where the horniest fandom was and that persisted for a long time. It was still true when I was a kid and no doubt that infected me. Among the many characters I had a crush on, Rogue was one and it helped that she was hot cause they're all hot but she was also the horny character through the 80's. I mean, she was a teenager who couldn't be touched and spent all her time wishing she could be touched and it wasn't that subtle. Horny was one of her main character traits. Anyway, we are posting 90's Rogue today and the attraction there that I had and many, many a fan had is maybe not great. I will forgive myself and others though because I was 13 and shy and still discovering things. We all make mistakes but we grow and improve. The X-Men has always been metaphorically strong and it never works as a one to one comparison, which is a good part of it's strength. It's no longer a metaphor then, it's an analogy and not only does it lose it's power, it loses it's power then. The strength is the flexibility, that a writer can write a story that is representative of a specific experience (or maybe different experiences, this is the joy of art) and the next writer can write about a different one. This is the joy of art. It is why so many teenagers are drawn to the comic, because for all it's civil rights metaphors, it's also just about a group of unaccepted outsiders who hit adolescences and suddenly the world feels hostile. Everyone feels like an unaccepted outsider at some point as a teenager and everyone feels like the world hates them at some point.
Among the X-Men, in the early days, Rogue was an outsider among outsiders. She wasn't liked or accepted and I think a lot of people connected with that feeling. Even among the freaks I am unloved. But then we get to the part where she couldn't be touched. She was desperate for it and it was common enough in fan fiction that I know it was not a unique thought for many a lonely teenager to essentially have the thought, "But if I could touch her. If I was the only one then she'd have to choose me". Not great and no one phrased it that way but it's a big part of why she was one of the most fantasized about X-Men. She's desperate, I have a chance. It's wild that a fictional character we still need to come up with reasons to disappoint ourselves. Psylocke wouldn't have given us the time of day but what options does Rogue have? It's awful but we were kid. She also was brash and loud and funny and heroic. She was compelling because she was the first to rush into battle often and throw a punch, often a big mistake because Rogue fans might not like me saying this, traditionally she is not as smart as she thinks she is. I am not calling her dumb but she strikes me as the type who thinks she's a genius when she thinks of some trick that everyone on Earth has thought of before. It's also why she's great. She's someone with a really big heart and a lot of empathy for others, she has to, she's had it hard and the option there is bitter villain or kind hero. She became a hero because of her innate goodness. And 90's Rogue was great. She was best friends with a very clearly closeted Iceman and offered him support against his bigoted parents. And there is the savage land bikini. Anyway, that's all why she is here, cause I love the X-Men and I adore her. When I assemble my brains version of the best X-Men teams, she's on 3 of my favorite teams. That's pretty good. Today I want to fuck Rogue.

Happy Thneedmas, dear @midzurugi !!
I found out about your oc's that related to Once-ler, so I decided that I can write a story about them!! It was a real challenge for me and it took more time than I expected so I'm very sorry it took so long. Happy New Year and hope you’ll enjoy this (◠‿・)—☆
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary: it's a short and simple story about Christmas, the Once-ler and his two adorable reception kids Twice and Thrice. Here is the link to post with information about them.
(Maybe OOC? I think that Once-ler is a bit too sweet here, and I'm sorry if the kids are too OOC, I tried to stick to the information I knew about them).

“Hey kids, wake up!” Once-ler said enthusiastically, as he looked into each of the children's rooms. Then he quickly moved to the kitchen.
Shortly after they entered the hallway, sleepy footsteps were heard, followed by the sluggish "good morning" from both of them.
“Good morning, wash up and get ready for breakfast, today we will prepare for the holidays,” he said, watching the children perk up and head for the bathroom.
Once-ler walked over to the table, where the dough was ready. He slowly began to prepare both children's favourite dish, pancakes.
Soon, the door to the kitchen opened abruptly, and the children happily entered the room. They heard Once-ler humming something like a Christmas carol and smiled at that.
“Father, do you need help with something?” Twice asked as she and her brother sat at the table.
“No, sweetheart, don't worry, I can handle it myself,” he smiled at her and took the first pancakes off the pan. He put them on two plates and placed them on the table in front of the children.
“I just want you to help me decorate the Christmas tree and the house.”
“But father, it's only the beginning of December,” Thrice said.
“Dear, if I had a day off earlier, we would have started preparing for Christmas on the first of December,” he laughed. “But the demand for our products always increases during the holidays, so I don't have much free time now.”
He took out the honey and syrup and put it all on the table. “But... I want to spend every free minute together with you two,” Once-ler also took out milk and two glasses and smiled again.
The children smiled back and finally started eating their breakfast, while Once-ler continued to bake. “Then of course we'll help,” Twice said.
One-ler looked at them with satisfaction. It seemed that his calm smile didn't leave his face today. In fact, on days like this, he was especially aware of how much he wanted to give these children all the things he had missed so badly. One of those things was an excellent holiday.
A tall, fluffy Christmas tree stood in the living room, waiting to be taken care of. A pile of large cardboard boxes covered the fireplace.
“Father, this Christmas tree is just incredible!” said Thrice when he entered the room. He walked over to the tree, touched a branch, then took a breath. “Oh, and it smells great.”
“Yeah, I know,” Once-ler looked at his son warmly and chuckled. “I'm sure you won't find a better Christmas tree in the whole town. It was delivered and set up while you were still asleep.”
After that, Once-ler went to the TV and inserted an old cassette into the player. Some old cartoon started playing.
“Could we put on something... newer?” asked Thrice, looking at the screen.
“Hey, it's a classic! And it's not that old, actually,” he muttered and went to unpack the toy boxes.
The jangly soundtrack played softly. Twice laughed and shrugged her shoulders at this as she looked at her brother. The teens walked closer to the boxes.
“You know, when I was little, we couldn't have a Christmas tree like this. We haven’t had many decorations either, but all of them are extremely beautiful as far as I remember. We haven’t decorated the house much, but we cooked a lot of different dishes. I really loved it," he took the garland out of the box and smiled warmly, a little lost in his memories.
“Actually, your grandmother wasn't a fan of Christmas, so we don't have any special traditions…”
Once-ler glanced at the children, who were listening to his story in confusion. A little surprise was clearly visible on their faces. Their father rarely talked about his past, especially his childhood. Every such moment was worth its weight in gold. Once-ler smiled and easily tossed Twice a skein of garland. She did not expect it, but she caught it skillfully. He took the end of the garland and climbed on a chair.
“You should hang the garlands first,” he explained. “So that you can hang the Christmas ornaments later easily.”
The children hung on his every word as if it were vital information. Once-ler wound the garland in a circle starting from the top, while Twice supported and helped wind it from the bottom. He plugged it into the extension cord and the whole tree shone with bright-colored lights. Now the excitement and festive mood began to fill the whole room.
At this time, Thrice sat down on the floor and opened the box, which contained a bunch of different Christmas decorations. He picked up a blue horse and looked at it with admiration.
“All these Christmas ornaments are new, you didn't bring any from your family home, as you were going to?” Thrice asked.
“Well no... I decided that we need new ones. The old family ornaments have no value, and as I said, there weren't many of them. But we will give value to these new ones once they are on our Christmas tree," he went to the box and took out a green bauble decorated with gold patterns. He carefully hung it on a middle branch.
“And there it is. The first ball on the tree and now the decorating has officially begun,” he said playfully.
“There are many similar baubles here,” Twice said, looking into the box. "We should start with these and hang them symmetrically, and then we can take on the others.”
“You're right as always, dear,” he put his hand on her shoulder. "Let's start with these.”
Gradually, more and more coloured baubles appeared on the tree. Then the little reindeer ran around it, glass icicles and cones grew on it. All three of them were jokingly arguing about where to hang which ornament and lively discussing the upcoming holidays and their plans for them. A pleasant family atmosphere filled the room, while the music from an old movie added its own charm to the situation.
“I have something else,” Once-ler said when they were done with the tree. He reached into one box that stood apart from the others, as if it were hidden. He pulled out something of a deep red colour.
“Oh, it’s Christmas stockings!” Thrice said with delight and took a stocking with his name neatly embroidered on it.
“They're so beautiful... Are they handmade?” Twice asked as she took her one.
“Yes, of course... I actually made them. For the three of us,” Once-ler said and laughed lightly. The children's eyes widened with surprise and some joy.
“That's very cool, thank you!” Thrice said zealously.
“Yes, thank you,” Twice said softly.
“You're welcome, darlings. I was very happy to make them,” Once-ler slightly blushed at the children's reaction. He looked at his stocking and slowly read his name to himself.
“Well... We also have to wrap presents for all relatives. But I haven't bought them yet, we'll have to postpone that,” he thought out loud. Then he thought about when he would find a free time to do that.
“I could draw some little cards,” Thrice suggested. “As a nice addition to the gifts we've given them.”
“That sounds nice, I hope they'll appreciate it,” Once-ler realized that in fact each of them was expecting an envelope with some money in it, so usual gifts would be just a traditional formality.
“Do we have to invite all of our close relatives to Christmas Eve?” Twice asked, a little displeased.
“Yes, of course we do. They're waiting for an invitation, and they'll never turn down a dinner,” he smiled a little irritated. But he quickly calmed down. “Maybe one day one of them will invite us as well.”
“I doubt that very much,” Twice hummed.
Thrice looked away awkwardly, but deep down he agreed with his sister.
“I know that you think they're not the best people. But they're still my family. And that means your family, too,” he sighed and thought as he sat down on the floor by the Christmas tree and took some tinsel out of the box. “And there are certain values and principles that must be upheld in a family.”
He picked at the tinsel, squeezed it in his hands, trying to gather his thoughts together.
“I would like to convey these values to you,” he looked up at the girl and then at the boy. "For example, about Christmas. This holiday is not only about decorating a Christmas tree, gifts, or the birthday of Jesus Christ. It's about a family coming together. Just how we are now. And this holiday encourages you to do something good for your neighbour, especially for your relatives. Do you understand?"
“Yes, of course... It's obvious,” Thrice answered and sighed to himself.
Twice nodded when Once-ler's gaze settled on her.
“These words seem like very simple truths, but it still should be said out loud. I would have been grateful to my mother if she had told me that,” he smiled a little sadly and finally got up from the floor, with the tinsel in his hand. “Well... Let's finish with the stockings.”
Twice looked at her socking and carefully ran her thumb over the golden embroidery. “We can hang them on little hooks and decorate them with the tinsel,” she said, glancing cautiously at Once-ler.
“Yes, my dear, that's a wonderful idea,” he smiled gently at her. “I've taken care of that, too.”
He left the tinsel and reached into the same box where the stockings were. He took out three small hooks and began to carefully attach them to the mantelpiece. Thrice jumped up and hung his stocking on the leftmost hook. Once-ler and Twice followed suit. Then Twice decorated the fireplace with bright green tinsel. Once-ler looked at the fireplace with smile and then proudly at both of his children.

A loud laugh suddenly filled the room. The children were listening to another strange story from their father. They didn't believe some of his words, how ridiculous it sounded. But it was definitely true. Classical Christmas music was playing from the old record player. Outside the window, the snow was still falling calmly, preparing the entire valley for winter.
