started reading robin 2021 and i wanted to take the time to appreciate two of the most beautiful spreads in issue #1. they captivated me with how gorgeous and momentous they felt, which must have been the point bc i ended up staring at them sm that the symbolism finally kicked in
SPREAD 1:
1) LOVE the red and green at play, it’s such a difficult color scheme to get right lest you end up making the whole piece feel like a christmas card, but gleb melnikov pulled it off. the environment is rich and elegant and well-contrasted; it rly brings out damian’s classic red/green robin combo, even tho he’s not actually wearing his robin suit here. the green of his clothing highlights the green of talia’s, as well as the assassin’s tattoos, and, when combined with the cool-toned background, makes the red just pop out at you. pretty palette aside, it’s a very calculated choice in colors.
2) speaking of red, melnikov rly wanted you to notice the blood in these two pages. from the emphasis of the words DEMON BLOOD to the reflection of damian in the blood puddle, it only draws attention to the fact that his blade is perfectly clean of it in the second panel. one can only assume that talia killed that guy so hard that damian’s sword was caught in the collateral (damn talia !). it frames damian as the one to land the killing blow, as though his doubts/restraint with killing mean nothing because he still has the blood on his hands, blood passed down from talia. that doesn’t necessarily make it true ofc, but it does give us a reflection of his mindset with the blood acting as a literal mirror.
now before we delve into the second spread, lemme preface this with some context: many characters will refer to damian as an actual bird (“what better way to take out a robin than with a hawke,” “i’ve fought little birds like you before,” etc.) which speaks to his reputation, but i think it’s most notable when coming from talia:
at first, it’s used condescendingly, as it usually is from most ppl, and she speaks in a possessive tone when she talks abt returning him to the nest. she even tells him that if he IS to be taken under her wing, she would not treat him as her son but as a weapon. however, we know that this contradicts her intentions as she later uses the same “baby bird” petname as a term of endearment, even to calling him her son—notably when he is out of earshot.
you get the sense that they have this unspoken code of conduct around each other—family dynamics tend to be rigid in that way—but there’s also this feeling of regret as well as unfamiliarity navigating it coming from talia. i mean, she said it herself: damian was just a baby bird. he flew out of the nest too early.*

so why does she taunt him for running back to his mother? why is she pushing him away? and why does she monologue for so long that she lets her guard down and closes her eyes long enough for him to disappear…?
SPREAD 2:
BECAUSE DAMIAN IS JUMPING OUT OF THE HELICOPTER!!! BECAUSE TALIA IS PUSHING HIM OUT OF THE NEST !!!!
talia doubled down on her militaristic plans as an opening for damian to leave. with that sense of regret mentioned earlier, talia knows she raised damian under harsh conditions, but she doesn’t know to raise him differently either, so she urges him to find his own path. presenting “the way of the demon or the way of the bat” as the only 2 options to her already rebellious son was guaranteed sabotage. she pushed him too early when he was younger, but she knows that her baby bird is ready to fly now :”)
bonus: what a classic jason todd move to wear a mask underneath your mask btw. guess it just runs in the family! (but on a deeper, unironic level, damian switches out both his robin and his demon suit into this new one. this obviously symbolizes his forging a new path, but also reveals his intent/doubts abt the whole confrontation. a mask underneath his mask? he was never truly looking to rejoin the league. after running away from bruce, he runs to talia to test the waters and see if he would do better there. and when it ends in the same shadowing of an ambitious parent, he ditches the whole thing. the fact that he had a back-up plan meant that his heart wasn’t in it, just as talia’s heart wasn’t in keeping him caged. a confirmation bias given permission by a mother’s facade. god, the al ghul mindgames are truly smth to behold)
*so much can be said abt how talia’s approach to parenting parallels and contrasts bruce’s. they both have the same good intentions for their son, and they both realize that he’s too young to face what he had and what he’s abt to. but talia wants to start the healing process of her control in his upbringing, and bruce wants to prevent damian from having to face it alone knowing firsthand what suffering he “endured to become batman.” one is letting go, the other is desperate to bring him back.
it’s such a fascinating look into the push and pull of their fatal flaws and mistakes as parents, as well as making them feel human and reasonable within the limits of all they know and are capable of. OF COURSE they’re overcompensating for their regrets, that’s just so… them!
and the fact that you can see both parents’ traits and influence in damian as he searches for his own identity just makes the whole family feel well-rounded. robin 2021 is so good you guys, it’s too fucking good

Here are my rules for requesting fics!
You can request from any of the series’s I have below
If there’s a series or character you want but isn’t on the list, please ask before requesting and I’ll see if I can do it.
I will post a m.list
There might be different m.lists depending on the fandoms.
E.g. since Genshin Impact has so many characters, I might have a separate m.list for it.
WHAT I WONT WRITE: Smut, abuse, self harm, suicide, sexual abuse, anything really dark, anything with real people. (I don’t feel comfortable writing about things I don’t have experience with or about real people with real lives.)
WHAT I WILL WRITE: Fluff, angst, headcannons, one-shots, character x readers, character x characters, random blurbs, maybe polyamorous relationships depending on the characters.
Please be kind, I don’t want to receive or see anyone else receiving any hate, if I see any hate I will block you.
I will try to post on a regular basis. Not every day, but I will try to have a schedule depending on how much I write.

Genshin Impact:
Anyone that isn’t a child or an npc. I won’t write for dainsleif because I just can’t really get a good grasp on his personality.

The sandlot:
If I’m being completely honest, I’ll probably only write for Benny.

I’d write for the brothers and the original datables but only because I don’t really know the newer ones yet
Voltron:
I have a love-hate relationship with this fandom. Like they did some wacky shit but there were some good fics. I’ll write for any of the main seven.
Assassination Classroom:
Ass class fandom, if you’re still here, I love you. Anyways. I’ve got a pretty good idea of the whole class’s personalities, so I can do that. I would also do the teachers or some people outside of the class like Asano.
Demon Slayer:
I kinda just got back into demon slayer, so I’ll write for the main three and then probably tengen and rengoku, but those are the only characters I really know the personalities for, so I’m gonna just write for them. I might be able to do Nezuko, but she’s a tougher one two write x reader fanfics for. I will try my best, though.
Other:
A reminder that if there is a character that you want but isn’t listed please ask before requesting and I’ll see what I can do. I don’t guarantee that you will get that character though because I may not know who they are.

Damian was not pleased.
Usually, he upheld his calm, collected mask of leadership even in front of the compound's servants, but this evening he would ensure his anger was known and avoided. He didn't storm through the halls. He didn't slam doors and yell at everyone he came across. But Damian's pace was savage as he journeyed to his office, and his scowl cleared the room in his wake. The guards on either side of the doors didn't need a spoken order to scatter. Last time the Demon's Head reeked of jealousy this way, they'd had to invest in earplugs.
His men opened the doors for him, and the moment they closed behind Damian's finest jade cloak, the entire mountaintop went dead silent.
The big, curved windows behind his desk were flurried with mountain snow, putting your figure in the foreground of Nanda Parbat's landscape. For all the snow's efforts to overcome the League's fortress, candles and a large fireplace chased the cold away with sweet orange warmth. Now was around the time when Damian would get intimate with the files and reports on his desk. But another mission had distracted him tonight, and when the Demon's Head personally handles a task in place of his men, you know it's going to be done in three ways: skillfully, precisely, and brutally.
"Beloved," Damian glowered.
He loved his wife. You were a proud, brazen woman far crazier than him, and time and time again your boldness had saved the League from an untimely death. More importantly, you understood the weight of your boldness and had the tact to back your unpredictability. Nothing was more attractive to him than a woman who could scheme and scheme successfully. Judging by the dangerous edge to your smile, Damian was going to be subject to one.
"My love," you greeted.
Lounging in his desk chair, you were poised like you had a plan. Elbows on the armrests, fingers folded, knuckle against your lips. You waited for Damian to finish his examination. His eyes glued to yours. He knew it was the trap you'd laid for him, but he couldn't resist a glance at your sleepwear. The thin silk material cut high on your thighs and low on your chest, letting your collarbones practically spill out of your nightie. Its straps were the useless kind that were hardly there to hold anything up. Your chest held everything together, so the straps could slip gracefully down your shoulders, begging to be kissed the rest of the way free. Damian's favorite.
"That's my desk chair you're sitting in," Damian glared. He waved his hand and rounded the table. "Off."
You sat and smiled at him.
"I'm in no such mood with you," Damian said. "Off, girl. Now."
"Girl!" You echoed. Like he'd winded you, you collapsed deeper into his chair and scoffed. "Don't antagonize, Damian. Speak your mind but don't insult me." You lifted a leg to poke his thigh with your foot, "I'm a woman. How would you feel if I called you boy?"
Damian brushed your leg aside, snapping, "I called you girl because you've made a childish decision, and therefore should be treated as such."
Your teeth showed in your smile, ready to bite. "What terribly childish decision have I made?"
His hands itched at his sides, and while towering over his seat, he debated if he should throw you over his shoulder and spank you like he wanted to. You're baiting him. This is what you want, too. You know exactly how to rile him, how this conversation will play out, and how it will end. Still, the al Ghul in him can't help but examine this ambush for a way to take control.
"Rogers. The oil conglomerate we'd put in our crosshairs, the one that holds all the blackmail for the activists we're trying to free in the US." Damian spits. "You..." A shudder of displeasure rolls up Damian's spine, so he cups your chin in one hand so you'll look at him as he says it, "you seduced him. For information."
He shouldn't be surprised, but you lean eagerly into his hand. Snuggle into it, even. Damian's belly fills with butterflies when you wrap your hands around his forearm, keep him close, and kiss his knuckle, eyes shining with want.
"Ah," you say, brows raised coyly, "Rogers the sex addict. As in someone I could easily take information from, without hurting anyone, and without risking the life of any of our agents, either. That businessman."
Damian released you, scowling. He stomped around the other side of his desk and slammed down his hands, even if he knew you were right. Just to push him a little more, you sensually cross your legs, giving him a glimpse of your lacy panties. You bat your lashes at him, smug.
"I didn't actually have sex with him, if that's even a doubt in your mind." Slow and seductive, you copy his position on your side of the desk, leaning on your arms so he can notice the bra you're not wearing. "I'm far too devoted to my master to ever consider such a thing. In love with him, I should say. He is far kinder to me than Rogers ever was."
Your hands float across the table to cover his. Damian closes his eyes, tempted, and licks his lips when he can feel your breath fan against his mouth. He can taste your kiss already.
"Though I must admit..." you purr, "as much as I adore his kindness... I shiver at the thought of him taking his anger out on me... When he claims what belongs to him, hard and rough—"
The phone on Damian's desk rings.
His heart drops out of his ribcage when you pull away and answer it, ripping him away from his fantasies with a knowing smile. "Hello, mister ambassador," you speak into his phone, pen in hand. "Yes, it's grand to hear from you as well. How is your wife...?"
You were right. Rogers had an obvious weakness the League could exploit to save the day, and it just so happened that this weakness was sex. And that you, the sexiest woman Damian knew, would offer herself to the task so that other agents less comfortable with the job wouldn't be sacrificed. You were proactive. You believed in Damian's mission. It was nothing but business, even if that business involved his wife in bed with another man.
Damian's wife. In bed. With another man.
He wondered why another agent couldn't have handled it. But if Damian had no bias, no possessiveness, he would've picked you for the task too. Hell, you had him hard at just a little teasing. You'd hardly had to touch him and Damian was aching for it.
He wondered how far you'd gone with him. It boiled his blood to think about it, but Damian had a habit of torturing himself. Did you wear the same outfits you did for him? Did you whisper his name like you whispered Damian's? Did you let him lay his head on your chest so you stroke his hair, like Damian quietly asked you to when you were alone with him?
The call is for a mission Damian assigned you weeks ago, and one you've been gracefully handling. Something about government regulation that the League has been meddling in. Impatient, Damian taps his fingers on your desk and waits for you to cut it short, but the devilish look in your eyes makes it clear that you won't. You lay back in his desk chair and relax your ankles on the edge of the wood, dramatically pretending to yawn.
Fine. He'll teach you a lesson with an audience, then.
As he rounds his desk, you devour him with your eyes. Damian is well aware of your... fascination with his rings, open silk shirts, and jewelry, but your eyes take an especially large helping of his cleavage. Your interest is kept for sure when Damian brushes your legs apart and turns the chair just to step between them. Here, sharing eye contact so electric it could spark a flame, you watch him unclasp his cloak so it can fall around his boots. One by one, Damian removes his rings and sets them on the table. Each new, soft thunk has you sitting straighter in your seat. A useless effort, because Damian soon takes your ankles, runs his tongue over his teeth, and tugs you halfway down the chair in one pull.
You yelp. A question lingers on the other line, which you answer with a stutter. "Apologies... I-I almost tripped over something... Where, um, where were we?"
Drool pools in Damian's mouth. The change in perspective is generous, and after many sessions like this one, he's learned how much you like this angle too. Your skin is soft in his hands. He squeezes and enjoys you like you're a treasure to admire, one he stole for himself and himself alone. Cupping the underside of your thighs, Damian spreads your legs to their limit, sucking a flood of saliva back through his teeth at the sight of your underwear. The reaction puts an involuntary twitch in your muscles, and Damian smiles at the squish of your thighs around his face.
You bite down hard on your lip when his calloused hands push your tight nightie over your middle. The caller is still waiting for an answer, so you come up with something as you playfully fight Damian off. He's an evil man. Last time something like this happened, he put the phone on your belly and fucked you on the line. You don't doubt he'll do worse this time, considering the jealousy in his hands as he tugs you back into place.
You're mine, he mouths to you, groping your ass in handfuls. I don't share.
Fine! But you have to be quiet. You put a finger to Damian's lips as you answer the ambassador again, and of course, he pouts and tries to bite you. "Absolutely. We have some options for you, sir..."
After appreciating your snug thighs around his face, Damian lets them relax over his shoulders and studies his meal. His hand strokes lower and lower on your naval until it's tracing your core through your panties. When he realizes how wet you are, a smile like venom fills his face, then fills your aching heat.

My Review of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation
How did I get into this anime? I felt it necessary to push watching this series into the high priority category instead of waiting for fate to take the wheel in the randomizer. Because of the fall anime lineup for 2021, I thought I could breeze through the first 11 episodes and get prepared for the second season. I did it and I don’t regret it!
A 34 year old shut-in is out of the house for the first time in forever. And he’s immediately hit by a truck.
Oh Truck-kun, you always show up at the first episode of Isekai animes to spice things up.
This man then wakes up as a baby in another world to parents Paul and Zenith. We’re not sure what the man’s name was in his prior life, but he will now be known as Rudeus (or Rudy). His 34 year old mind is in the body of this child. And this new world Rudeus is in is heavily focused on magic and swords. In the first 5 years as Rudeus, he managed to become well equipped with learning magic incantations, even out-doing his own teacher, Roxy. In his downtime, he ends up making friends with a cute, green-haired girl named Sylph. And when he’s sent away for training, he meets his cousin Eris and becomes her tutor. Rudeus’s days are filled with the unexpected moments and whimsy compared to his old life in modern-day Japan.
While the story seems to be in a lull watching Rudeus grow episode to episode, the normal stuff indicating it’s a real Isekai doesn’t come until a little later. For now, embrace Rudeus taking small steps in his new life in this new world. He was tormented in high school, so having an episode where he leaves his parents property was quite the watch. So let’s take a journey into Rudeus’s life.
BETWEEN THE SUB AND DUB: I watched the entire first part dubbed and I gotta say, FUNimation did a bang-up job with this one. I was blown away when I found out that the dude who voiced Paul, this is like his first big role. Good job on voicing a questionable character! And as for the sub, I always have a kick whenever Sugita is voicing someone who can be cheeky at times. Good times by all! Here’s what you might recognize these folks from.

DISLIKED CHARACTER: Throughout the first season, I think we all went through a passing fancy of hating on either Paul or Eris! Some say Paul is a two-timing scumbag who cheated on his wife with the maid. And then Eris, I think it was her temper in her debut episodes that was a drawback. But we moved on!
Come season two, I wasn’t expecting to see this nothing prince from season one come back. Fuck was his name, Pax!? We would see him every now and then when we got an update on Roxy because she was tutoring him at the time. We thought nothing about this twat and moved on. He has an unhealthy lust for Roxy, his teacher and will stop at nothing to catch her, keep her, and force her to make babies with him. NOPE! NAH-AH! FUCK THIS TURD! Let’s just say I wasn’t pleased with his actions when he takes advantage of Rudeus, Lilia, and Aisha just to get Roxy.
SHIPPING: Before I talk about Rudeus in this portion, I think I must talk about a certain character that needs to be thwap’d with the no horny bat and thrown in horny jail.
PAUL! Dude, the fuck?! Bruh! I was this close, THIS FUCKING CLOSE, to commending you on being a top-notch husband and father. I mean, father yes he’s okay. Okay, let’s talk about Rudeus. It’s pretty clear in his former life, he had no kind of relationship, much less any interaction with females. He spent his days in bed whacking it San Diego style! In the first season, Rudeus has had some moments with three different girls (Sylph, Roxy, and Eris). Romantic wise is something that’s going to have to wait. Rudeus’s mind is that of a 34 year old shut-in, but depending on what episode you’re on he’s only a child.
With that said, Sylph has the better advantage than everyone else (at first). Rudeus is working in a home for five years in order to pay magic school tuition for not just him but for Sylph as well. I didn’t see him attempt that for Roxy. No, he just stole her panties and calls it a holy relic. And as for Eris, pfft, I doubt he’d even pay for a cup of water for Eris, let alone school tuition! Plus, aren’t they second cousins or something? They’re blood related. That’s more than enough reason to tank that ship in normal times. This anime, Eris’s father was A-OK with allowing his daughter to be felt up by Rudy.
*sighs* Everybody in this world has a healthy libido, but with an unhealthy sexual mentality.

Now when it came to the second season and shipping with Rudeus things got a little hot and heavy between him and Eris! I know they’re cousins, but…no, I can’t finish that statement without my logical mind coming into play. If they have a baby, that baby is just going to be a potato.
ENDING TO PART ONE: Things began to change once Rudeus turned 10. First of all, 10 years is a cornerstone age for people in this world so a big party was in order. Just not to the lengths of Eris’s party was due to family drama in one part of the Greyrat family. And surprisingly, it’s not Paul’s fault. And now comes the moment where everyone’s lives change and the story makes a complete 180º.
A giant mana disaster strikes! In that moment, Rudeus and Eris are transported to another continent. But before that, it’s time for Rudeus to have an out of body experience in his old body (doesn’t make sense what I just said, just go with it) and meet his maker. Rudeus meets a Man-God. A very femme Man-God! This new continent the kids were transported to is actually where Roxy was originally from. The two wound up traveling with a new mate named Ruijerd. Ruijerd was one of those people everyone was taught to be feared due to his green hair and mark on the forehead. But he hopes to one day rid the world of this prejudice and bullshit that’s been falsifying the Supard race for eons.
Now these final two episodes of the first half are kind of the start of Rudeus, Eris, and Ruijerd’s adventure party as “Dead End”. So we’re finally at that point of the story where the hero becomes an adventurer in the isekai! At the beginning, Rudeus learned that his strategies weren’t always going to work. He had to crawl his way up from being an F-ranked group and not wait to attack when lives are on the line. And when he was caught by a corrupt guild member doing things not the right way, he was going to get in big trouble.
That was until Ruijerd came in and threatened the guy’s life and also blowing his cover being a superd. It was after that moment, Ruijerd decided to shave his head so no one could fear his green hair and cover his forehead. Rudeus, Eris, and Ruijerd as the group Dead End are going to continue their journey across the continent and return Eris home to her family.
Oh and one other big thing happened in the final episode. The big mana disaster hit more than just the mansion containing Rudy, Eris, and the rest. It hit Rudeus’s hometown as well. It’s unknown how Sylph is. Rudeus’s mother Zenith is missing. Lillia and Aisha are missing as well. Paul is somehow okay with his daughter Norn (the daughter he had with Zenith). But he’s calling on anyone, even his old adventurer comrades to help him find his family. And by chance, Roxy happened to be in town at the exact same time as two of Paul’s old teammates. So they’re going on a journey together.
PART TWO: It’s been a year or so since Rudeus started Dead End and the group has been gaining traction across the land. Ruijerd and Eris have been getting a cool reputation and Rudeus…eh, not so much. Not that many people even get his name right! At the beginning of this arc, both Rudeus and Roxy happened to be in the exact same town. They never once ran into each other.
Also, remember that femme Man-God that I mentioned in the first part finale? He returns to Rudeus’s subconscious one night telling him to go down some alley. I mean, last time he wound up with Ruijerd as an ally, so what harm could following this guy do? Hahaha, foreshadowing! Anyways, Rudeus follows that path and runs into a great demon emperor named Kishirika Kishirisu. And I swear any time she’s on screen, the animators got people from Studio Trigger to animate her. She grants Rudeus a foresight eye after saving her from starvation. This new power would prove useful for Rudeus when dealing with oncoming attacks.
While Rudeus wasn’t able to meet up with Roxy (as both were in town at the same time), he was able to run into his old man Paul a few episodes later. Their reunion was a less than stellar one as the two did indeed took blows to the head from the other. But Rudeus’s plans do change a bit as he puts finding his missing friends and family members at the top of the list. He was even able to meet his other younger sister, Aisha and saved her and her mother Lilia. Fortune is favoring young Rudeus.
END OF PART TWO: So the group ran into a snag. Rudeus ends up meeting a Dragon-God, one of the most powerful beings in the world. Usually, people tremble in fear when this guy comes through. Not Rudeus though, I think it had to do with him being reborn from another world. And it didn’t get any better from here as the Dragon-God Orsted learned that Rudeus has been in contact with that Man-God. The Man-God has been kinda…I don’t want to say untrustworthy, but I would rather trust Kyubey with a contract than this guy any day. So Rudeus and his team almost died. But was spared once more! It’s just that Rudeus talking to a Man-God has kinda gotten out to Ruijerd. And Rudeus felt a little guilty because it was only because of the Man-God that he put his faith in Ruijerd. Luckily, Ruijerd doesn’t see it that way. He feels it’s his duty to protect the children.
After a long journey, the trio made their way back to Rudeus and Eris’s home continent. And this is where Ruijerd parts ways with the children. When they made it back to Eris’s home, they learn a few things. Zenith (Rudeus’s mother) is still missing. Sylph has been found safe. Ghislaine is alive and well. Eris’s parents were murdered on another continent. Eris’s grandfather was executed on the speculation of starting the big mana disaster. And the remaining butler to Eris’s home says that if Eris were to return she must become a concubine to the local lord as to not fuck up things with the family any further. Eris had a lot to take in today so what will be her next move?
She and Rudeus have sex.
And then she left him.
She hit it and quit it!
This left Rudeus in quite a state of shock. He sunk into a deep depression, much like when he became a shut-in during his previous life. No matter how many years have passed since then, Rudeus will never shake those horrific memories and they just trapped him. Aside from Rudeus sinking into self depression, there seems to be activity all across the board with all of the other characters.
Ruijerd is making progress by himself as no one on the continent is really scared of him because of the superd race. Eris and Ghislaine are traveling and we learn Eris truly loves Rudeus. Paul is reunited with Lilia and Aisha. And Roxy has an encounter with the strange being Rudeus met at the beginning of part two, Kishirika Kishirisu. Roxy did a nice thing for her and got rewarded with learning the locations of people she was searching for. Rudeus is okay, as is Paul and most of the family. Zenith however is unknown! There’s an approximation on the location it’s just too dark to tell. And Zenith might be the key to unlocking Rudeus’s depression.
As I recall in the first part, Rudeus was quite close to his mother Zenith. At least closer to her than he was to Paul! Given the choice between the two of them, I’d be a mama’s boy too. Rudeus recalls a memory of Zenith and that seemed to trigger him to get up and leave his tent to find Zenith, his mother. Rudeus goes alone on a journey.

END OF SEASON, DON’T KNOW WHEN WE’LL BE BACK!
Damn, this anime was addicting. There’s so much to say and yet I feel like I can’t say everything I want to because I feel like I’d be leaving out something crucial.
First of all, the animation was spectacular. And it’ll blow your socks off to know that this is the only anime under the belt of newly formed Studio Bind. No shit! The only animes this studio has done is this and only this. This is a success story! And everyone in that studio deserves a round of applause, a three month vacation, a legitimate massage, and the world’s best sake to drink. Did they seriously get animators that defected from other studios like Madhouse, KyoAni, and JC Staff?
Next I would like to talk about the characters. It was hard to stay mad at any main cast member no matter what Twitter says. Not that I give a shit about what Twitter says. Yes, we all know about Rudeus’s shut-in life and yes it is a little creepy that this little baby has the mind of a 34 year old NEET from modern Japan. But the point of this anime is second chances at life! Yes, Rudeus has a lot of perverted moments. A LOT! He still has those panties that once belonged to Roxy. Honestly, at least he’s not stealing underwear from every woman he meets like Happosai in Ranma ½. He was able to explore new things and sort of step out of the shadows of his past life. Now he doesn’t just leave that behind. His past constantly comes back to haunt him, especially when something traumatic hits him.
But sure Twitter, go on and be like “Durr, that baby has underwear on his head #CancelRudeus”!
Another character who made a significant change would be Eris. If you would have told me after her debut episode that by the end of the series I was going to enjoy her presence, I would have spit Ginger Ale in your face and laugh. Seriously, she was just some crazy-bitch wildebeest with a short fuse. One attempted kidnapping later wiped that bitchiness off her face real quick! But it was fun to watch Eris grow throughout her journey with Ruijerd and Rudeus. She’s really become a lady…

Even Paul I can’t hate that much! I will give him props for being a man and owning up to his major fuck-up. I didn’t think the two wives scenario would work for him but up until the great mana disaster, it was. He is scummy when it comes to women and booze, but he truly loves his family. Although I did want to punch him when he got into it with Rudeus! Seriously dude, your son went through hell up to this point and spoiler alert, he was only 10. He didn’t know that his hometown got wrecked. His priorities were to survive and bring Eris home safe. And besides it is kinda your fault that Rudeus couldn’t see you up to that point!
As for the story set-up, I can’t complain. I know a lot of folks were probably turned off by how slow things started out. I thought it was nice that we saw Rudeus’s progression and key points in his training before we got into the actual adventure. It’s boring to just watch someone a baby one minute and a full-fledged mage the next. Kudos for giving us a protagonist we watch grow and not just slap it on us like, BAM, he’s an over-powered freak like Lord Ains or Kirito!
Now I have to wonder what’s next. I’m wondering if the characters from Mushoku Tensei will get added to Isekai Quartet. But more important queries are if this show will get another season. I think that was cemented after the release of the OVA. A big fat “YA BOI”! We’re going to live to see the Erectile Dysfunction arc. Seriously, is that really what it’s called? I know my friend calls it that. Well, whatever! I’m down for more Mushoku Tensei. I give it a full-on recommendation for anyone into fantasy, action, ecchi, or if you’re just an Isekai fan.

ignore this, just me yelling about JGY being misunderstood/misinterpreted/villanized because I’m a shameless JGY apologist
Today on the menu:
1. NMJ is a good and righteous man and JGY is a monster! Especially after what he’s done to the Wens (on his father’s orders)!
Meanwhile NMJ: KILL ALL THE WEN DOGS, KILL THEM ALL, KILL KILL KILL
2. JGY is a horrible person because he’s manipulative and sneaky and lies to people!
JGY: has very weak cultivation due to being brought up in a brothel on fake cultivation books because his mother was tricked into believing they would help him, was not even allowed to attend classes at CR because ?? I guess NMJ decided so, and has literally no choice* but to deal with things through words rather than violence if he wants to have any chance at winning
*BUT! WWX’s decision to use demonic cultivation is not at all morally questionable because he no longer had a golden core and had no other choice!
3. JGY is completely self-serving and only cares about himself
JGY: spares Bicao and Sisi despite knowing it could come back to bite him in the ass; takes JL as hostage as a last resort and still saves him from danger and releases him; marries his sister (after knowing of their relation!) to protect her family from his father and to spare her the same fate he and his mother had; is literally the only sect leader to do anything for the common people by building thousands of watch towers and even paying the cultivators for their services when the poor couldn’t afford it; is apparently the only one who acknowledges and respects SMS and is clearly shown to care for him (giving him medicine despite being hurt himself, crying when he dies); builds a whole-ass temple for his mother in the hopes that if enough people worshipped her, she’d be reincarnated into a better life; literally only gets caught and killed because instead of running away, he came back to the temple to take his mother’s corpse with him
4. JGY killed LXC’s best friend!
JGY: is threatened by said best friend for YEARS, and has all the reason to believe this best friend would act upon his threats (some people say it was purely because of his qi deviation, I strongly disagree), and is the end ORDERED by his father (who kept rejecting him before but is finally giving him a chance now) to kill him
Bonus: let’s keep in mind that if JGS wanted NMJ dead and JGY said no, JGS would still find someone to get rid of NMJ. But whoever the designated assassin would be, would face 2 possible outcomes:
1) they fail because it’s Nie 'more badass than you will ever be’ Mingjue
2) they succeed, but because it’s an obvious assassination and it’s not hard to guess where it came from, a war breaks out between the Jins and everybody else (even other characters point out how much JGS is like WRH), resulting in countless deaths
5. LXC trusted JGY blindly because he cared about him, but LWJ trusted WWX because he had solid proof!
JGY and LXC are sworn brothers and best friends for DECADES, with JGY saving LXC’s life and helping him win the Sunshot campaign and rebuild CR, did LXC really have no good reason to trust him? Did he not explicitly say that he would no longer trust him if there was solid proof against him? And when said proof is presented to LXC, he not only demands that JGY stop referring to him as his brother, he STABS JGY when he thinks he might backstab him! Would he react in such a way if he really still trusted him?
And let’s not forget that while LWJ also had good reason to trust WWX (I’m not going to sit here and say he didn’t), a lot of his trust was based on the fact that he loved and knew WWX was a good person, which is why he believed WWX’s accusations of JGY despite having no actual proof other than WWX’s word.
!! Please differentiate between us the audience knowing somebody is right/a good person, and the characters in the story thinking somebody is (or isn’t) a good person (case in point: while we know WWX is not evil because we can see everything he does along with his motivations, but the cultivating society sees it from a very limited perspective and deems him evil)
6. JGY killed his son/arranged his death!
Nope, it’s intentionally left vague in the canon. He does say “I killed my son” but he says that along with “I killed my wife” and we all (hopefully) remember that she took her own life. No doubt JGY feels guilty and responsible for his son’s death, but that doesn’t mean he’s actually caused it. I really like madtomedgar’s conspiracy theory about JRS being killed by the Jin elders as a warning to JGY to remember his place (as not the heir of their clan)

Have you read the yugioh manga? Is the season 5 done better in the manga?
hello anon. sorry for replying this late to this.
YES i’ve read the yugioh manga and this also includes millennium world (the part that became season 5) and to be honest with you..................................... it’s hard to pin it down as a yes or no answer because the main biggest issue I have with the season 5 anime was still present in the millennium world manga BUT there are a few more things that are actually better in the manga than in the anime imo. So if I have to give you a short answer it’s: yes. Imo the manga is done better.
Let me name a few things I prefer in the manga without trying to spoil you anything lmao
1- Thief King Bakura, in general. I fell in love with the character because of the manga. In the anime you never actually get to know him - it’s just his body but with the spirit of the ring literally possessing him, so the anime has basically no TKB (this is the main reason why it sucks lmao) and they really made him dirty in the anime. He literally says he doesn’t care abt revenging his village anymore and i’m like ??????? this is not TKB. In the manga, he really makes it a point to remind everyone how atrocious their doing was and he’s very loud and factual abt it. He spills the T. He’s punk as hell this is why i adore him and they robbed him off his best quality in the anime. This is character assassination and i do NOT stand with that. (But before you get all hopeful he still never gets the ending he deserves - not even in the manga so rip to that. we just can’t have nice things 💀💀💀💀💀)
2- The duels/dahas are better in the manga. More blood realistic. And there are no stupid golden duel disks needed to summon the Kas. i hated that sm in the anime. it really belittled the whole thing into a game once again. The ka comes from your soul. It’s part of you. That's why you die/hurt badly when it gets destroyed/attacked.
3- The dark priest/Aknadin/Zorc issue. Listen I hate that dude with my whole heart but at least in the manga, you get to see him as being that dark priest/Zorc aka the main monster/satan of the story. and you also see his mummy in the modern world at the museum and it explains the whole deal much better. The anime just fucking confused me. It confuses everyone and it makes you literally believe that everything is possible atp.
4- Diabound. listen,, liSTEN,,,, IT IS MY FAVOURITE MONSTER . In the anime it’s literally only belittled into a monster who steals powers like???? the first thing we see of it is that it somehow stole the Blue Eyes’ power from Seto before we meet it in millennium world and only thanks to this does he get to win against obelisk which no ! !!! N.O. The whole deal of diabound is that it’s so fucking powerful on its own all the priests are left open-mouthed. it confronted a God. and won. WITHOUT stealing anyone’s power (at the beginning). It is majestic and beautiful. and no one could have believed that just a simple thief happened to have such a powerful ka. A GOD KA. yes. they call it a demon and tkb corrects them and tells him this is a spirit ka. A fucking GOD. born from the whole rage tkb developed for the palace ppl over the years while growing up and making a god like angelic ka blossom from it all!!! in the anime none of it is explained. they belittled it into just some monster that kinda makes the impression to be pretty weak if it wasn’t for its ability to steal other monster’s powers, stripping it of all its power and fucking majesty. And the shitty animation ruined him too. (yes i am particularly bitter over what they did to diabound!!!)
Everything is in general better explained and there are no useless plot distractions like Honda becoming evil????? The dark soldiers/army of tkb??????? Diabound stealing BEWD’s power????? Bobasa??????? like the whole deal of Bobasa is just wrong because of him being the most racist caricature we have in ygo but in the anime, he also contributes nothing to the plot??? (in the manga at least he serves some more to the plot like he weights the hearts of Yugi & co. in the beginning before letting them enter into the memory world - where we also have Ryou sobbing and running away because his soul didn’t get access :((( but it’s still better than not including Ryou at all because yeah i guess we are the anime and Ryou never existed in the anime) Other things that bug me: TKB coming back to life after dying for good with a piece of Seto’s soul??????? SETO in the millennium world?????? Listen, i am not saying these things ruined millennium world but they made it all the more confusing and erased “plot-space” that could have been filled with fix-its for what they did in the manga, that, per see, was never that good to begin with. But still better than the mess that was the anime.
A few things I can name that they definitely did better in the anime than in the manga is
1- Priest Set, he’s not a megalomaniac classist asshole in the anime and doesn’t torture ppl for funsies
2- Kisara, in the anime she has a personality. I’m not even sure if she utters a word in the manga. Poor girl.
Yeah overall millennium world is a fucking mess and i hate it like the only reason i am attached to it is cause we have tkb (which happens to be my favourite character) and we see him in all his greatness and his tragic backstory!!! but he was never treated as an actual character, only as a villain - he never got the justice he deserved as a character so, sorry for making this all abt bakura lmao but yeah, like i said before, the biggest issue i have with millennium world is only better explained in the manga, but it’s never fixed. So I‘d say the manga is better in a story-explanation-pov. But it still has the same shitty ending.
Oh and the manga is better cause you don’t have to endure the trauma that is the shitty animation in season 5. Totally not worth it.

Summary : Even a holdover from the past like Bucky deserves a love story and the young woman he falls in love with fills him with happiness, revealing his tenderest but also wildest sides.

The former assassin would never have believed that happiness would one day be within his reach. Dr. Raynor's words of encouragement seemed meaningless to him since, deep down, he was convinced that he did not deserve affection or tenderness. His hands were too dirty, his past too murky and dark to be able to mingle with ordinary people and hope for a new and serene life. However, he had managed to detach himself from his old demons, to deliver Zemo to the Dora Milaje, to support Sam in his missions as Captain America and even in the renovation of the old boat. Sitting on a plastic chair, beer in hand watching the children run, James had felt a kind of peace wash over him, less painful than in Wakanda, he had felt free. Yet despite his best efforts to appreciate this new chance, the old man was aware that something was missing. He couldn't find his family or even his best friend, he had no one to hold tight to his heart when he lacked sleep. Then she had arrived, clumsy and generous, like a delicate flame in the dark.
It had taken a bit of time for Bucky to let his guard down, agree to consider having a drink with her, chatting over a meal but once he had gained confidence, he found himself eagerly awaiting their next appointment. The fact that the young woman is not fond of long SMS exchanges made each interview more pleasant, they never ran out of things to say to each other. Slowly, with angelic patience, Cornelia had managed to discover a little more about the mysterious young man with tired eyes and an artificial arm. She'd never asked an indiscreet question, she'd just waited until James was ready to talk about it on his own. During their long walks in the park, they sometimes remained silent, simply enjoying the moment and each other's company. A bubble of oxygen, that's what the lady was and even Sam had noticed how his friend was changed, more smiling and relaxed even though he became even more silent.
"Now that the missions are rarer, we will be able to spend more time together, my darling"
Cornelia whispers tenderly as she brushes the photo of James she developed after their last picnic. Under a still shy sun, the soldier is asleep against a tree, his face ten years younger when he stops frowning. She loves this photo, as well as all the ones on the walls, cutout newspaper articles, blurry surveillance footage, old photos from WWII. All of James and the Winter Soldier's life is stored here, in pretty frames or notebooks neatly arranged and labeled "White Wolf." The young lady has watched her lover from afar for a long time, from her cocoon of eternity, she had seen him join the army, train, fight bravely. She had witnessed his accident and can no longer count the times she wanted to come to his aid, to free him from the clutches of Hydra and protect him. Now she can finally be by his side, no one is watching over her and her dear Bucky is free from any harmful influence. Just thinking of him, the heart of the goddess swells with joy and love. Since they moved in together, things are perfect and besides, he should be back soon.
The door soon slams shut and James kicks off his shoes, shaking himself energetically to chase away the raindrops stuck to his hair. He briefly thinks of shouting "doll, I'm home" and that mere thought is enough to make him smile, he never thought he could have a domestic life. Time to sneak out of her secret room (because every witch must have a lair), Cornelia adjusts her outfit and then runs into the soldier's arms, giving him a kiss to which he responds with passion. Teasing and still excited after last night, he lets his tongue come and visit the beloved mouth before releasing her slightly, a bright smile on his lips. How is it that he finds a new detail to love about her every day? Today, it's the golden shards in the green eyes that drive him crazy and he lifts the young woman to carry her to the couch.
- Bucky, stop it, you're soaked! Cornelia remarks with a laugh, trying to push the big, wet idiot away.
- Glad to see you, that's all, the young man exclaimed, kissing her languidly before kneeling down in front of her, his head on her lap.
It doesn’t need anything more to feel at home, that simple embrace in a place that is all theirs. The young woman reaches out to grab a towel and dry the brown strands before the soldier catches a cold. It's not uncommon for James to fall asleep at times like this, tired after a long mission. This time around, he just stays silent, enjoying the caress in his hair, a simple but gentle gesture that warms him up. Suddenly, a movement outside makes him lift his head, his whole body rising in alert. But that's okay, the new neighbors moving furniture down the hall, nothing to worry about. Now that he is sleeping better, he seems to be paying more attention to certain noises and smells, but he can't quite get rid of some vigilance. No doubt he will never be able to get rid of it, not completely. Cornelia frowns and puts a hand on his neck to bring it back to reality.
- Are you OK ? she asks, full of concern for this man who has lived through so many horrors.
- Yes ... yes, everything is fine. Sorry, I was on my mind.
- It's okay, darling. The weather is too bad to go out for a walk but you can go take a bath, it will relax you.
Usually Bucky would chase away the ghosts of the past by running for long hours in the woods, but relaxing in the warm water is an equally good idea. The hero nods, kisses his lover's hand before getting up. He begins to undress with a smirk, not at all shy about leaving his things on the floor and slowly walking to the bathroom. Cornelia casts an appreciative glance at the super soldier's nudity, he turns out to be more and more playful over time. Since he's in a good mood… The young lady gets up and goes to join James in the tub, the sound of their laughter and kisses mingling with the lapping of the water.
Late at night, Cornelia wakes up feeling oddly cold, something is wrong. It only takes a movement to realize that the bed is empty, the man she loves is no longer by her side. Worried, the young woman gets up, walking slowly in the corridor. He can't be gone on a mission, he just came back. Noises attract her attention, coming from the kitchen where a weak light pierces. Sitting on the tiled floor, Bucky is leaning back against the open fridge and carefully licking his fingers between two handfuls of minced meat. The cold light brings out the blue in his eyes, the eager movement of his lips over the raw meat he happily eats. His super soldier metabolism requires him to eat a lot, but this sort of thing is fairly new. However, his girlfriend just rolls her eyes and closed the fridge door before she sits down.
"You're going to kill polar bears if you leave it open like this. Wait, you have a little blood on your cheek… ”
Cornelia wipes the greedy face with a smile, he looks guilty as a little boy caught his hand in the jam jar. It's crazy how such an old man, having murdered so many people, can look young and innocent right now. James takes the opportunity to rest his head on the young woman's shoulder, inhaling her scent at the top of his lungs as she brushed the red marks on his chin and chest. A yawn shakes the graceful body of the sorceress who stands up slightly.
"Come to sleep quickly when you have finished eating, the bed is too empty without you." "
Cornelia sends her lover a kiss before returning to the bedroom, crawling under the sheets waiting for him to finish his midnight snack and come join her. Lying on the pillow, she thinks of how lucky she is, a thought that is confirmed when the soldier strokes her hip with the tips of his metallic fingers, covering the skin of her neck with kisses.

The little bubble of the lovers tightens on them, the colored walls becoming thicker over the days, weeks. Soon Bucky realizes that he longs to stay at home with his partner for a bit. Of course, he enjoys the company of his friends, his precious comrades for whom he would give his life, but nothing beats the simple joy he feels every time he hugs the young lady. He has made up his mind and will swear eternal loyalty to her when the right time comes, he has already prepared the ring. All this obviously seems a little too cheesy to him, but he wants to try to be a little romantic, a little cliché. She has become the center of his life, his ray of sunshine, she deserves a little lovey dovey stuff. Sam will surely be very happy to attend the wedding, when he stops repeating how much his friend has changed, that he no longer recognizes him. He will eventually get used to it and understand, he can only be happy for his colleague.
Lying on the sofa, Cornelia lets her mind wander as she gazes at the ceiling, the tiny little paint dots, the cobwebs dancing in the wind. These thin strings remind her of a nephew cruelly murdered in the labyrinth and his sister with a glorious fate. Then a strange sensation comes to pull her from her thoughts and she laughs as she turns her head to Bucky who continues to lick her fingers tenderly. His tongue sweeps back and forth lovingly over the thin skin, sometimes moving up the back of the hand and wrist like primal kisses. The young woman lets him do, contemplates him with jade eyes full of sincere love.
"I love you, darling, and I love you forever. Will you be mine forever? Will you belong to me body and soul for eternity ? "
A question she already knows the answer to and to which Bucky nods with a small growl as he continues his marks of devotion with his breath burning with desire. He only wants to show her his affection and she can feel it in her bones. So the beautiful sorceress slips her hands under the superfluous clothes, helps her lover get rid of them as the latter begins to devour her mouth with passion. A snow fur appears under the delicate hand which digs its fingers into it, feeling the powerful body pressed against her, waiting for a more intimate embrace. He is only waiting for an order, a word from his fascinating goddess to howl his love, him her white wolf.
