Can you make a post about the evolution of Greek art from the ancient times until now in modern age?

Because we often talk about the evolution of art but unfortunately we don't appreciate after ancient times the other art movements Greece went through the centuries.

That’s true! I am sorry for taking ages to answer this but I don't know how it could take me less anyway hahaha I made this post with summaries about all artistic eras in Greek history. I have most of it under a cut because with the addition of pictures it got super long, but if you are interested in the history of art I recommend giving it a try! I took advantage of all 30 pictures that can be possibly attached in a tumblr post and I tried to cover as many eras and art styles as possible, nearly dying in the process ngl XD I dedicated a few more pictures in modern art, a) because that was the ask and b) because there is more diversity in the styles that are used and the works that are available to us in great condition in modern times.

History of Greek Art

Greek Neolithic Art (c. 7000 - 3200 BC)

Obviously, with this term we don’t mean there were people identifying as Greeks in Neolithic times, but it defines the Neolithic art corresponding to the Greek territory. Art in this era is mostly functional, there are progressively more and more defined designs on clay pots, tools and other utility items. Clay and obsidian are the most used materials.

Cycladic Art (3300 - 1100 BC)

The art of the Cycladic civilisation of the Aegean Islands is characterized by the use of local marble for the creation of sculptures, idols and figurines which were often associated to womanhood and female deities. Cycladic art has a unique way of incidentally feeling very relevant, as it resembles modern minimalism.

Early Cycladic II (Keros-Syros culture, 2800–2300 BC)

Minoan Art (3000-1100 BC)

The advanced Minoan civilisation of Crete island was projecting its confidence and its vibrancy through its various arts. Minoan art was influenced by the earlier Egyptian and Near East cultures nearby and at its peak it overshadowed the rest of the contemporary cultures and their artistic movements in Greece. Colourful, with numerous scenes of everyday life and island life next to the sea, it was telling of the society’s prosperity.

Mycenaean Art (c. 1750 - 1050 BC)

Mycenaean Art was very influenced by Minoan Art. Mycenaean art diverged and distinguished itself more in warcraft, metalwork, pottery and the use of gold. Even when similar, you can tell them apart from their themes, as Mycenaean art was significantly more war-centric.

Geometric Art (1100 - 700 BC)

Corresponding to a period we have comparatively too little data about, the Geometric Period or the Homeric Age or the Greek Dark Ages, geometric art was characterized by the extensive use of geometric motifs in ceramics and vessels. During the late period, the art becomes narrative and starts featuring humans, animals and scenes meant to be interpreted by the viewer.

Archaic Art (c. 800 - 480 BC)

The art of the archaic period became more naturalistic and representational. With eastern influences, it diverged from the geometric patterns and started developing more the black-figure technique and later the red-figure technique. This is also the earliest era of monumental sculpture.

Classical Art (c. 480 - 323 BC)

Art in this era obtained a vitality and a sense of harmony. There is tremendous progress in portraying the human body. Red-figure technique definitively overshadows the use of the black-figure technique. Sculptures are notable for their naturalistic design and their grandeur.

Hellenistic Art (323 - 30 BCE)

Hellenistic art perfects classical art and adds more diversity and nuance to it, something that can be explained by the rapid geographical expansion of Greek influence through Alexander’s conquests. Sculpture, painting and architecture thrived whereas there is a decrease in vase painting. The Corinthian style starts getting popular. Sculpture becomes even more naturalistic and expresses emotion, suffering, old age and various other states of the human condition. Statues become more complex and extravagant. Everyday people start getting portrayed in art and sculpture without extreme beauty standards imposed. We know there was a huge rise in wall painting, landscape art, panel painting and mosaics.

Greco-Roman Art (30 BC - 330 AD)

This period is characterized by the almost entire and mutually influential merging of Greek and Roman artistic expression, in light of the Roman conquest of the Hellenistic world. For this era, it is hard to find sources exclusively for Greek art, as often even art crafted by Greeks of the Roman Empire is described as Roman. In general, Greco-Roman art reinforces the new elements of Hellenistic art, however towards the end of the era, with the rise of early Christianity in the Eastern aka the Greek-influenced part of the empire, there are some gradual shifts in the art style towards modesty and spirituality that will in time lead to the Byzantine art. During this era mosaics become more loved than ever.

Introduction to Byzantine Art

Byzantine art originated and evolved from the now Christian Greek culture of the Eastern Roman Empire. Although the art produced in the Byzantine Empire was marked by periodic revivals of a classical aesthetic, it was above all marked by the development of a new aesthetic defined by its salient "abstract", or anti-naturalistic character. If classical art was marked by the attempt to create representations that mimicked reality as closely as possible, Byzantine art seems to have abandoned this attempt in favor of a more symbolic approach. The subject matter of monumental Byzantine art was primarily religious and imperial: the two themes are often combined.

Early Byzantine Art (330 - 842 AD)

The establishment of the Christian religion results in a new artistic movement, centered around the faith. However, ancient statuary remains appreciated. Most fundamental changes happen in monumental architecture, the illustration of manuscripts, ivory carving and silverwork. Exceptional mosaics become integral in artistic expression. The last 100 years of this period are defined by the Iconoclasm, which temporarily restricts entirely the previously thriving figural religious art.

Macedonian Art & Komnenian Age (843 - 1204 AD)

These artistic periods correspond to the middle Byzantine period. After the end of the Iconoclasm, there is a revival in the arts. The art of this period is frequently called Macedonian art, because it occurred during the Macedonian imperial dynasty which generally brought a lot of prosperity in the empire. There was a revival of interest in the depiction of subjects from classical Greek mythology and in the use of Hellenistic styles to depict religious subjects. The Macedonian period also saw a revival of the late antique technique of ivory carving. The following Komnenian dynasty were great patrons of the arts, and with their support Byzantine artists continued to move in the direction of greater humanism and emotion. Ivory sculpture and other expensive mediums of art gradually gave way to frescoes and icons, which for the first time gained widespread popularity across the Empire. Apart from painted icons, there were other varieties - notably the mosaic and ceramic ones.

Palaeologan Renaissance (1261 - 1453)

The Palaeologan Renaissance is the final period in the development of Byzantine art. Coinciding with the reign of the Palaeologi, the last dynasty to rule the Byzantine Empire (1261–1453), it was an attempt to restore Byzantine self-confidence and cultural prestige after the empire had endured a long period of foreign occupation. The legacy of this era is observable both in Greek culture after the empire's fall and in the Italian Renaissance. Contemporary trends in church painting favored intricate narrative cycles, both in fresco and in sequences of icons. The word "icon" became increasingly associated with wooden panel painting, which became more frequent and diverse than fresco and mosaics. Small icons were also made in quantity, most often as private devotional objects.

Cretan School (15th - 17th century)

Cretan School describes an important school of icon painting, under the umbrella of post-Byzantine art, which flourished while Crete was under Venetian rule during the Late Middle Ages, reaching its climax after the Fall of Constantinople, becoming the central force in Greek painting during the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. By the late 15th century, Cretan artists had established a distinct icon-painting style, distinguished by "the precise outlines, the modelling of the flesh with dark brown underpaint, the bright colours in the garments, the geometrical treatment of the drapery and, finally, the balanced articulation of the composition". Contemporary documents refer to two styles in painting: the maniera greca (in line with the Byzantine idiom) and the maniera latina (in accordance with Western techniques), which artists knew and utilized according to the circumstances. Sometimes both styles could be found in the same icon. The most famous product of the school was the painter Domenikos Theotokopoulos, internationally known as El Greco, whose art evolved and diverged significantly in his later years when he moved in Spain and was involved in the Spanish Renaissance, and though it often alienated his western contemporary artists, nowadays it is viewed as an incidental early birth of Impressionism in the mid of the Renaissance’s peak.

Heptanesian School (17th - 19th century)

The Heptanesian school succeeded the Cretan School as the leading school of Greek post-Byzantine painting after Crete fell to the Ottomans in 1669. Like the Cretan school, it combined Byzantine traditions with an increasing Western European artistic influence and also saw the first significant depiction of secular subjects. The center of Greek art migrated urgently to the Heptanese (Ionian) islands but countless Greek artists were influenced by the school including the ones living throughout the Greek communities in the Ottoman Empire and elsewhere in the world. Greek art was no longer limited to the traditional maniera greca dominant in the Cretan School. Furthermore, the Heptanesian school was the basis for the emergence of new artistic movements such as the Greek Rocco and Greek Neoclassicism. The movement featured a mixture of brilliant artists.

Greek Romanticism (19th century)

Modern Greek art, after the establishment of the Greek Kingdom, began to be developed around the time of Romanticism. Greek artists absorbed many elements from their European colleagues, resulting in the culmination of the distinctive style of Greek Romantic art, inspired by revolutionary ideals as well as the country's geography and history.

The Munich School (19th century Academic Realism)

After centuries of Ottoman rule, few opportunities for an education in the arts existed in the newly independent Greece, so studying abroad was imperative for artists. The most important artistic movement of Greek art in the 19th century was academic realism, often called in Greece "the Munich School" because of the strong influence from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Munich where many Greek artists trained. In academic realism the imperative is the ethography, the representation of urban and/or rural life with a special attention in the depiction of architectural elements, the traditional cloth and the various objects. Munich School painters were specialized on portraiture, landscape painting and still life. The Munich school is characterized by a naturalistic style and dark chiaroscuro. Meanwhile, at the time we observe the emergence of Greek neoclassicism and naturalism in sculpture.

20th Century Modern & Contemporary Greek Art

At the beginning of the 20th century the interest of painters turned toward the study of light and color. Gradually the impressionists and other modern schools increased their influence. The interest of Greek painters, artists changes from historical representations to Greek landscapes with an emphasis on light and colours so abundant in Greece. Representatives of this artistic change introduce historical, religious and mythological elements that allow the classification of Greek painting into modern art. The era of the 1930s was a landmark for the Greek painters. The second half of the 20th century has seen a range of acclaimed Greek artists too serving the movements of surrealism, metaphysical art, kinetic art, Arte Povera, abstract excessionism and kinetic sculpture.

After years and years of bartending experience, after mixing countless cocktails and pouring a myriad of shots, after throwing gaggles of obnoxious men out on their asses and cutting up what could probably amount to a truckload of limes, you’ve gotten incredibly good at spotting drunk people.

But even without all of that, even if you’d never set foot into a bar before in your life, you think this wouldn’t be difficult to discern: Jake Seresin is absolutely and completely hammered.

“I think I’m in love with you,” he says, his big, green eyes blinking at you through the bleary haze of alcohol. He’s sitting with both elbows braced on the bartop, his Old Fashioned forgotten and melting into a sad excuse of water and whiskey.

“And I think you’ve had enough,” you mutter, reaching for the glass. You try to ignore the effects of the word, the blood rushing into your cheeks, the hope rushing into your chest. A fluttering, flailing, frantic fledgling of a thing.

He watches as you toss the last dregs of his drink into the sink, the ice cubes going with a loud clatter. “I don’t even like Old Fashioneds,” he reveals suddenly, eyes fixed on your hands like he’s trying to center his vision on something.

You frown. “You’re the one who keeps ordering them, Hangman.”

“Only cause you said you like men who order Old Fashioneds,” he mumbles, then pauses. “Is that a word? Old Fashioneds… What’s the plural of that? Old Fashions?”

You ignore his rambling. “Dude. I have no idea what you’re on about.”

He waves his hand through the air like he’s auditioning for a spot on the Disney Channel, then says, “You told Phoenix.”

Very, very vaguely you recall a conversation, over a year ago, about ideal partners, about dream futures. You’d made up some half-formed, half-true lie about a man with green eyes drinking an Old Fashioned you’d mixed for him.

Now you stare at Jake Seresin under the lights of this bar, here on this Tuesday night, with his sleeve in a puddle of indefinable liquid, with his hair mussed, with his heart on the tip of his tongue, and your head spins.

“How do you remember that?” you ask. You feel winded, breathless, as if you just ran a marathon.

He shrugs. “I remember everything about you.”

It knocks the words out of you. You just stand there, blink at him, hands slack and mind sluggish.

“I’m really mean to you, Hangman,” you remind him, voice gentle in the face of something that feels too big. It’s Tuesday, man. “We like… hate each other.”

It’s not even a lie. You really are mean to Hangman, Hangman who is obnoxious and cocky and way too confident, who flirts with you at every turn, who takes home too many girls and always asks for the most expensive Whiskey in his drink. Who drives you to the brink of insanity and then pulls you back with a well-placed grin, a soft word, a tip just a little too high to be commonplace.

“I like it when you’re mean to me,” Jake admits, his face sliding ever so slowly off his palm. “It’s my favorite part of the day.”

You don’t know what to say. You feel like he’s just punched a hole right through you.

“Sometimes I fantasize about punching you in the face,” you blur, and then cringe at yourself.

Again, he just shrugs. “You could punch me in the face and I would still want you ngl.”

“This is a verbal conversation, Hangman,” you say. “You can just say the words out loud, you know?”

But you’re already halfway there with him, out in the sea of love.

“Okay,” he says, nods, and then he grins. “I’m so drunk, I’m totally seeing double. There’s two of you. You wanna have a threesome?”

Jesus, you think. “I think you should maybe have some water first.”

“Tomorrow when I’m sober,” he begins, his eyes finally going from your hands to your face, “can I ask you out?”

You swallow. “Yeah.”

“Will you say yes?”

“Probably.”

He grins. “I lied earlier. I don’t think I’m in love with you. I totally know it.”

It doesn’t take a professional to figure out that Hangman is absolutely and completely hammered. That’s how you know he’s telling the truth.

What a lovely combination of two frustrating things; pining and Dottore.

Flirting with Dottore is such a massive headache. He either doesn’t understand the comment you made (primarily due to the severe social rejection he has faced from most people) or he will analyze it too deeply.

“The Cicin Mage back there called you a snack — but if anything you’re a full course meal haha.”

“[Name] are you a cannibal?”

He’d understand your attempts to ‘woo’ him, and he’ll be super smug about it. It gives him such a massive ego boost to the point you can see him radiating with confidence.

He believes that there's an odd charm to you. After all, to attract attention from someone like him you have to have something special about you.

He’s needy — whiny too. He isn’t afraid to voice his opinions if he’s aware of the feelings you both share mutually.

He gets jealous quite easily. You are the only person who hasn’t treated him like a complete asshole so he’s a bit possessive and protective over you.

He isn’t the aggressive possessive type though, he's the sad overthinking type. Unless his jealousy sparks from someone he doesn’t like, then he becomes the whiny, clingy, and evasive type. All he really wants to do is be around you and protect you even if you can protect yourself.

He likes it when you sit in his lab and help him with his experiments, but if you choose not to help him with his experiments he can settle for you just being around him.

He’s a bit dense when it comes to you flirting with him, but he is absolute shit at flirting. He’d either forget what he was going to say, say it wrong, or end up directing an insult at you.

“Ah [Name], I like your shirt — it almost fits you.”

“Dottore what the fuck is that supposed to mean?”

He’d be so confused after that. He might even suck up his pride and ask Pantalone what he did wrong.

Dottore also thinks he’s super slick about his feelings for you. He thinks he’s subtle when he dotes on you, giving you almost anything you want or need. He also stares at you a lot when you aren’t facing him; he genuinely thinks you don’t notice when he is staring at you.

Any observer would question your safety though. They would be extremely confused by his change in demeanor but mortified by the way his eyes follow your figure. They would probably say a prayer for your safety and avoid you at all costs.

He’d pick up more domestic roles for you. Shopping, cooking, basic date night stuff — if you really want it, he’ll do it…That doesn’t mean he’s good at it though. He’s a sweetheart with psychopathic tendencies and an inability to cook anything that needs to be heated.

“Dottore please stop cooking for me, I appreciate the effort but I don’t like coming to your house to help put out a fire — Why are you doing this for me anyways?”

“You know why [Name].”

“Yeah, but I’d like to hear you say it”

so he does get a bit :< seeing you and felix, or lily talk so freely with each other

and though, again, he understands, he can’t always respond

so, whenever he’s put in that situation, he sulks and goes to his room

which in itself isn’t reeeaally an issue, but communication definitely something he needs to work on in a relationship

anyways, you sneak after him one day, and find him studying english using text books:(

2) the ‘not so cute’ jealous

as mature as i think hyunjin is, he’s not always open to talking about what bothers him

this would often lead to petty arguments, empty but hurtful words, or just radio silence.

often the members would try and help, but controlling his jealousy when he sees you with someone else, or doing something, whatever it may be, is something he should fix

and he’s well aware of it.

this wouldn’t be a problem too too often

but once it’s there, it’s there

once you reassure him over and over and over again, and he realizes it’s really his insecurities that fuel this arguments, he’d better himself

getting there takes a while though

as for affection..:

i think it’s goes one of two ways

either his s/o is also a ‘tsundere’, or they’re super affectionate

if they’re the former, he’d would 100% get along with them

they’d get the feeling of not wanting to be touched 24/7 but not minding it from time to time

though if they’re equally as prideful as his is, you’ll need to compromise on who asks first

overall though 10/10 would love someone similar to him

if they’re suuuper affectionate… they’ll need to tread on eggshells for a while

not because he doesn’t love them, but just because he’s someone who doesn’t feel the need to be touchy all the time

I get the whole Lando thing but, for the next season I’d still like it if you chose him as a main. Especially If there’s going to be photography involved.

I feel like I’m going to get hated for this, but I really don’t like Daniels vibe since he came back. It feels like he isn’t even trying anymore, he’s there for the money and the fun (kinda like Valtteri), not to truly compete. And it makes me so angry, cause he had so much potential and he wasted it. Instead of making space for some promising and young talent, he’s hogging the only available seat (in the only junior team, whose purpose was to develop young drivers)

I just don’t think we should glorify he’s path.

Yeah, I mean honestly the vibe shift would be sooo good for the plot lol because now more than ever I feel like he could do with someone who makes him get offline a bit more and stop listening to the noise.

On Daniel…I agree but I also don’t. I don’t think it’s his responsibility to make space for anyone. If he wants the seat and it’s offered to him he has every right to take it.

On the other hand, I don’t like that he’s in AT. If RB were that desperate to have him back they should have bit the bullet and bought checo out at the end of ‘24 (I think they would have if Daniel had had the full half-season and shown consistent pace). But I also feel like they use AT more as a recycling bin than a junior team now. Pierre was there for years just to bring in consistent points, Yuki is there to satisfy Honda, now Daniel is there as a placeholder, it hasn’t been a junior team for a while. I’d love to see it get back to that, but I’d also like to see Sauber get back to that as well. But, I digress.

The problem is I think Daniel leaned into the celebrity thing when he didn’t have a seat and now he can’t really back out of it, and can’t afford to. He’s not going to be a world champion, so he has to be securing his future bag. I get it, but it can be a bit cringe to watch sometimes. I have a love/hate relationship with the idea that drivers have to be super focused. On the one hand I think there’s nothing more fascinating (and hot ngl) about someone like Max who just lives and breathes racing and exudes confidence in his talent. On the other hand, not everyone has his talent, not everyone is in their prime. If Daniel was still fully on the grind like “I’m ready to be a wdc next year I’m going beast mode” I’d be like, please join us in reality, so, in some ways I’m glad he can admit he’s just having fun.

All this to say, yeah there’s a lot of cringe in the way Daniel handles himself but I don’t think he has a lot of other ways to maximise his opportunities.

I’m forcing you to be Australian, deal with it

When you were younger (about 11 years old) you moved into Calum’s neighborhood right across the street from him

And you know, puberty be hitting hard, so this man instantly gets a crush (cause you’re beautiful duh) and befriends you

But of course, he doesn’t say anything (for another few years)

You guys are each other’s closest friends, and you end up being each other’s first kiss (a classic)

The two of you will just play music together on the weekends or after Cal’s soccer practice

You play piano and guitar (and sing but we’ll get into that later)

The two of you meet Luke and Michael when you go into high school and you guys form the beginnings of 5sos

Luke and Michael quickly begin to feel like brothers to you

Then Michael Facebook messages Ashton

When you meet Ashton, you are a complete MESS

Like stuttering like an idiot because his humor just tugs at your heart strings and you’re crushing HARD

You tell Calum about it, obliviously hurting his feelings

poor fetus Calum :’(

but he still supports you

eventually your puppy love with ash goes away and you meet someone

someone that’s a GiRl (yes, you’re bi curious and we’re living for it)

you’re all confused that you feel this way about a girl and questioning your sexuality (as most do in high school)

nothing happens with the girl (nothing ever does… I’m not crying you are)

but you do confide in Calum that you find girls attractive

poor Calum is thinking you're gay, but you reassure him that you do still in fact find guys attractive too

Calum is super supportive and eventually convinces you to tell the rest of your band mates

they’re all supportive too

someone definitely makes a joke like “I don’t blame you. Girls are hot”

we love a good coming out story

you and the boys are making youtube covers and becoming quite popular

then the one direction tours

you practically melt when you meet Zayn and Harry (at least I would)

during the tours your management and 1d’s management decide to do a pr stunt with you and harry of a will they won’t they situation

ngl you and harry did hook up a few times after you turned 18 (sorry to those of you who do not like harry styles, which should be none of you)

calum is pretty much over his crush on you by the time the first album comes out (at least that’s what he says)

fans of the band kind of speculate that you might be bi when you sing lyrics like “you’re like the perfect mixture of megan fox and katy p” (greenlight underrated bop imo)

ofc the question comes up in interviews but you and the boys dodge ‘em like ninjas

you came out to the world on your terms during sounds live feels live tour

and this is frat 5sos era so just like them you’re pulling the ladies AND the gentlemen

you’re more discreet abt it tho cause we know how the media be about women who have multiple partners (the media is disgusting)

then there’s the hiatus

during this time, you get back to writing pieces with piano aka you’re the genius behind ghost of you and lie to me’s piano melody

during the writing process of youngblood is also when you and calum start becoming more than friends

you write why won’t you love me about him cause you’re oblivious that he likes you too

you show a demo of wwylm to luke (who is almost as close to you as calum now) and he convinces you to play it for the rest of band and put it on the album

this leads to feelings being confessed and you and calum end up together

you and calum date for about a year and a half before the unfortunate when will you be back blurb comes into play

and then you’re a mess, which is where I’ll be starting this series(??)

so yeah, lmk what moments you want to see like interviews and just relationship things and I’ll do my best to write them well

i thought richgirlyn would actually know herself a little better.. the way I read it was that she separates herself from her “rich” image, like how she was just listening to music in her room and being a little more vulnerable there?? when she doesn’t have to perform for herself, she’s just herself.. not a super confident witty girlboss.. just a girl. or is that her real personality? maybe I just don’t have any literacy but how big of a mask.. is the mask.. like clearly her defense mechanism is to make a snarky/sarcastic remark or joke back whenever chaewon is mean.. so you can tell it definitely effects her a little. it’s probably not smth she enjoys but she’s built her image so she’s okay w living with it.. or maybe it’s a mix of both! she truly is confident and playful but she plays it up. irdk!!

when I said the stuff that you said about aespa!yn reminding me about richgirl!yn I was more so leaning towards the rich kid with problems point of view not the knowing herself point of view 😭 (yk putting up a front that they’re so confident and unbothered and stuff)

richgirl!yn definitely knows herself no doubt she’s aware that she puts up a confident front, she’s aware that she’s privileged, she aware of the hurt she feels sometimes when chaewon passes certain comments.

The thing with her is the sassy witty girl you see is her personality that is her but that’s not all she is, shes someone shoes creative, someone who works hard, she’s hurt by chaewon’s comments because she’s hurt that that’s all what people see her for (even her members that just don’t say it up to her face like chaewon does, she knows they love her but she also knows that they don’t think much about her when it comes to other factors of her besides her fathers money ) but she’d rather play into it than show that she’s hurt, she was raised to be strong and to think that she’s better than everyone, she was raised to not let people see emotions because she’s richer and better and that’s when the letting things slip up part comes into it.

She’s not letting her real personality slip, she’s letting her vulnerability slip, especially when she was talking about tiffany in the last richgirl!yn work.

but ur so right about her snarky comebacks and playful teasing being a defence mechanism she doesn’t want to show any vulnerability or that she’s hurt because that’s how she was raised (kinda like how cib!yn was raised to believe that love was useless which is why she kinda ignores signs of someone liking her or is just completely oblivious to things)

I will never uundertanad how people care about like..inclusive language. Like in the way that they act bothered by it. Like mf why does it bother you? How does it affect you? It always feels like people simply feel attacked by the simple inclusion of other people into a conversation or anywhere really. And that applies to many other things. Like when people start calling a video game woke or whatever cuz you can choose to have a same sex relationship or there’s a person of color. Hell even a little lgbtw flag or whatever. It’s like when people say all lives matter when somone brings the BLM subject in. It’s like…mf this isn’t an u. Stop taking everything personal.

And going back to the language thing. Like as a cis girl. It does not affect in a single way if someone uses any kind of gender inclusive language? Like if someone says “person w a vagina” like sure? Idc. Like I reaaallllyyy don’t care. Don’t careee. I’m a person. I have a vagina. Yeah they’re referring to me. I still feel like a woman. I feel sure in my gender. I feel strong in my identity. Like damn cis people have to learn to be sure of their identity. Be more confident in your gender bruh.

Like duh people who get offended by inclusive language are really just simply bigots but I feel like it’s still happens with people who claim to support certain groups- but then act annoyed if someone talks an inclusion as if it’s a personal attack on them or people do it for the sake of annoying ppl. I remember I was in this shitty theatre class where instead of theatre kids there were a bunch of popular kids who joined to not do anything- and the teacher walks in- he was very weird btw- like in the way he thinks he’s super wise and he makes you think he’s wise but then a year later you like damn what a fraud - anyways;

He walks in and he’s like - “oh, now we are not allowed to say ladies and gentlemen because it’s not inclusive “ or smth like that, and the rest of the kids are like “uuughh🙄🙄🙄😒😒” and I just stood there like- girl? 💀

I know damn well you pulled that out of your ass cuz no one is forcing you to not say ladies and gentlemen. Ik damn well the school doesn’t give a fuck and neither of the parents. He probably saw it on the internet and took as “oh now I’m FORCED to say NOT ladies and gentlemen 🙄 wow the audacity of these annoying humans” like bro no one is putting you at gun point.

And even if someone said, “yeah you should change the intro and say smth else other than ladies and gentlemen” is it really that deep? Like to complain? It’s an intro. I really dgaf. Again. As a cis girl. I’m already included so it doesn’t nessecarilly affect me. But neither does anything else. Mf just say welcome students teacher and parents or whatever? Bruh I dunno it really isn’t that deep to groan ab- it simply respect 🤨
