Okay, I think I understand the comments.

First comment: the stress of making an album is about finding the song that “defines” or “is the hit” of the album. If you have that key song, then you have the peace of knowing at least there’s one hit. If you don’t, you write a bunch of songs and then you choose one. For the first album, I guess it was SOTT. For the second album, it was supposed to be Adore You, maybe? But it turned out to be Watermelon Sugar. But also … it sounds to me like Harry’s vision of a good album is the same as a label exec’s vision — Just get a hit song. Like it’s very algorithmic, strategic, and chart-driven.

Second comment: a love-hate relationship with singing, maybe? He can’t really play an instrument, can’t read music, and can’t write good lyrics so… his relationship with music was … trying to sing it out, but not liking it?
