Lady of fire
Heid (Völva from Voluspa)
Thrung
Lady of the Disir
Skialf
Queen of Folkvangr
Chief of the Vanir
Queen of the valkyrie
Possessor of the fallen
Ruling/Domain
Folkvangr is her realm and Sessrumnir is her hall.
(and is sometimes said to be where she takes her half of the dead but this is disputed)
Family
Njord is her father and her mother is never mentioned but is speculated to be Skadi or Njords sister, an unnamed Vanir goddess. Her twin is Frey(r). She has 2 daughters Hnoss and Gersemi both of which translate to "treasure" though only mentioned in Christian sources and Gersemi is only mentioned once. In the Eddas, it says she has a husband named Oðr which is one of Odin's names, and gets into the Frigga and Freyja debate.
History
I won't get too much into the debate on her and Frigga but by the myths, they are different and separate beings. Historically they were possibly the same once and split over time but they are not the same now.
Frøya has a necklace she always wears. Its name is Brisgamen is a torc/necklace made by the dwarves and frøya supposedly spent a night with each of them who made it to get Brisingamen. In other myths Thor wears it dressed as Frøya during the fake wedding to Thrym the giant who stole Thor's hammer, then when Loki stole it and gave it to Odin when Odin made her start a war to get it back.
She also had a Boar named Hildisvini "Battle-swine" which she turned her husband oðr into and rode in one of the myths.
In the Grimnismal translation, it says "then" Odin picks not "and" giving the idea Freyja picks first but it's never mentioned otherwise. But modernly we accept that she does have the first pick.
Gullveig is believed to be another name for frøya she was a sorceress who predicted the Æsir, Vanir war and was burned alive 3 times by the Æsir each time coming back to life and was struck by spears and still didn't die.
She, like Odin, was known to use many different names throughout the myths and in her travels.
She's the one who taught Odin and the other Æsir gods how to do Seidr magic.
After the Æsir, Vanir war they exchanged hostages, and Frøya, Njordh, and Frey went to live with the Æsir in Asgard.
It's rumored but never confirmed if Freyr and Freyja have Elven ancestors. But she is NOT a valkyrie; the only sources with that are later Christian sources; this is believed to be the same thing as making her out to be a love goddess and sexualizing her.
The myths never actually show her as a Vølva but her association with magic gives us the idea she is.
She also had a chariot that was pulled by cats sometimes people believe they’re Lynx.
Historical worship/practice
She had a fertility cult in the Viking age that stopped due to Christianity and a cult that lasted up until Snorri's age and time but that stopped soon after. She and Frigga were called on during childbirth, historically our source coming from a midwife.

Loki Laufeyson x Fem!Reader
Summary: You know Loki, your Husband, since you were kids and you both are extremely happy together. Then why do you still feel that something is wrong?
word count: 9.2 k (I'm sorry)
warnings: ANGST, Fluff, slight mentions of sex, a tiny bit of cursing, a couple of arguments between Loki and the reader and a slight mention of misogyny (not by Loki)
Tumblr media
You were on cloud nine.
You and Loki had just got married. He was driving a brand new Hudson Hornet with one hand on the steering wheel and the other on your knee, making you feel all warm inside.
God, you loved him so much.
When the car pulled up, you finally saw your new home, and it was perfect. Loki knew you wanted a big house with a big yard, so the dog and (you were still trying to convince Loki that this was a great idea) your future kids could have a place to play.
He opened the car door for you and held out your hand. You grabbed it and the second your feet hit the ground, Loki carried you bridal style, making you giggle. He used his magic to open the door and you two entered the house. He got you back on your feet again, and you both started exploring the living room, which had an open concept to the kitchen and the decor was cosy and luxurious at the same time. You were so happy that you jumped into your loving husband's arms and kissed him, and he immediately kissed you back.
"I love you, Y/n/n" He called you by your childhood nickname, which made you blush, and he pulled you in for another kiss just because he could. You were finally his wife, and he's never been happier.   ***
Frigga was teaching Loki magic in the study hall. The young Asgardian prince always had a spectacular gift for magic, and he was also very intelligent. Loki was decent at fighting but not as good as the heir to the throne, Thor. His older brother was extremely powerful, but he lacked Loki's brilliant mind or even any interest in the Asgardian arts of magic. Thus, from a very young age, everyone saw Thor as the future king of Asgard and the Nine Realms, a born fighter and 'The Golden Child', as Loki liked to call him. Loki was just the weird, introverted prince that a lot of people liked to pretend didn't exist.
Loki and his mother heard a knock on the door and Frigga answered with a simple 'Come in' and you appeared.
You were wearing a simple pink dress with purple accents, and your hair was tied up in typical Asgard braids.
Your mother, Halldis, was Frigga's best friend. Halldis and her husband were given the title of Lady and Lord of the royal court when Frigga became queen. They've lived in the palace ever since Lady Halldis got pregnant with you.
"Hello, sweetie. How may I help you?" the queen asked gently.
You gave her a sweet smile.
"Hi, Aunt Frigga. Thor and I were playing in the royal garden, and we wanted to know when Loki was going to finish his classes so he could play with us."
Loki immediately frowned.
He would rather die than admit it, but he always thought you were beautiful and sweet and Loki would love to be friends with you, especially when you always seemed so excited about interacting with him.
But you liked Thor better; just like everyone else. You were just feeling sorry for him, that's all. You probably didn't even like him. Nobody liked him, why would you? "I don't want to play your pathetic childish games, Y/n. Go away!" he exclaimed.
Loki saw your smile slide quickly into an expression of hurt disappointment and your eyes glistened with tears, even though you refused to let them fall.
The dark-haired prince had a bit of a mess of memories from then on. He could never be sure if you actually looked down at your feet while whispering something about how sorry you were for upsetting him or whether or not Frigga had given him a long speech about how extremely rude his behaviour was and that he was grounded for the next 20 years. The one thing he was sure would haunt him forever was that you, sunshine in person, were crying at that very moment because of him.
***
"Do we really need to do this, darling?" Loki whimpered as you applied lipstick to your lips.
You chuckled as you looked in the mirror to see the reflection of your husband who was with a grumpy face.
"Yes, my love, we do. Wanda and Vision are lovely people and they invited us to dinner tonight, so we will." You answered.
"But I hate people. Except you, everyone else just... pisses me off and bores me the hell out."
You rolled your eyes and stood up, walking over and stopping in front of him to tie his tie.
"Stop being so dramatic, Lo. We're going to have fun, I promise. But if you feel uncomfortable, just 'If'," You gave him a death stare. "We will come back home right away, okay?" He nodded, and you stood on tiptoe to kiss his cheek.
***
Loki knocked on the door and instead of being greeted by Wanda or Vision, you were both greeted by Agnes.
"Oh! Y/n, Loki! You both are right on time! Come in, come in!"
The two of you looked at each other before you simply walked into the house, following the raven-haired woman and Loki, in turn, followed you like a lost puppy.
Apparently, today Vision's boss - and Loki's too - and his wife came to visit your friend and her husband. You were about to comment to Loki that you two had better go home when Agnes discreetly commented (So Mr and Mrs Heart would not notice anything wrong) that Wanda needed as much help as possible in the kitchen. Loki swore under his breath but you chose to ignore him and followed Agnes into the kitchen.
Upon entering the kitchen, Wanda immediately tried to disguise the floating plates and bowls while you and Agnes politely pretended to didn't see anything.
"Oh, Y/n! I'm so glad you came!" The redhead exclaimed, pulling you into a tight hug. She pulled away from you to explain her situation. "I completely forgot about dinner with the Heart's today. Please help me; I have absolutely nothing prepared!"
Meanwhile, Loki was sitting next to Vision and facing Mrs Heart. He didn't like his boss very much (Loki complained about Mister Heart every Wednesday night to you while you two did skincare together and he painted your toenails) But even though he didn't like the man, he was still his boss; and people were very easy to fall for Loki Laufeyson's charm and smooth talk. He knew exactly what to say and when to say it to get people in his good graces. He was irresistible. That's how he won you over.
Well… At least that was the story he told you.
***
"LOKI!"
The young prince was at Bifrost hall belonged to Heimdall, planning a massacre of the Midgardian city that Thor was sheltering in when he heard your voice calling his name, more furious than he had ever heard in his life.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!?! Thor was banished from Asgard and you should be doing your best to help him and bring him back, but no! You're planning a coup d'état and I don't doubt that you're trying to kill my best friend!" you both were face to face now. Your breath was heavy and hot on his face. Even in low heels, you had to stand on tiptoe to face him in the eye. Loki's hands were clasped behind his back, his posture was straight, oozing confidence and superiority, and his facial expression was neutral. It was his way of disguising how much his heart was racing and how much his mind was screaming at him to just end the distance between the two of you. He wanted nothing more than to taste you on his tong-.
"I know you've never seen me this way, Loki, but I consider you my friend. You may never have confided in me, but I know you feel left out by Thor and I know you wanted to be king and I'm genuinely sorry, okay? You never deserved to be second. You're worth so much and I'm sorry you were never recognized as you deserve. Please, Loki. Thor has his flaws, but he loves you and he doesn't deserve it. Please…"
Before you could continue speaking, Loki subtly nodded and Heimdall sighed in frustration before drawing his sword to open the Bifrost Bridge and send you to join Thor in Midgard. Loki only had a few milliseconds to stare at the panic in your eyes as you realized what he was doing before you disappeared right before his eyes.
It was better this way, he tried to convince himself. You preferred Thor; always preferred. It was only right that you should be sent to him. Not to mention he didn't deserve all that empty flattery from you. You just wanted to save Thor and you were using your smooth talk to try to convince him to help his brother. But he couldn't deny that, deep down, he fervently wanted your words to be true.
***
Dinner went well. It had its unforeseen, but nothing too extreme. At some point, you felt your head spinning and you could have sworn that, suddenly, dinner had turned into a bizarre déjà vu, but your husband just kissed your knuckles and said you were just tired when you told him about it as you lay in your shared bed. He kissed you good night and you rested your head on his chest, quickly falling asleep.
***
You woke up with the feeling of several kisses being deposited on your neck. It tickled and you started to laugh. Your laugh was contagious and before you knew it, Loki was laughing with you. When you both calmed down, he buried his nose in the crook of your neck, inhaling your scent.
"Good morning my queen." Your husband murmured against your skin. Your hands began to caress his scalp and he sighed contentedly.
"You remember today is the talent show, right?" You asked.
"Of course, I remember, sweetheart. Would you like to practice one last time so you feel more confident?" Loki wasn't happy about participating in the show at all, but he knew it was pointless to argue with you. Not to mention that he knew it was important to you and that you got upset when he refused to do something with you or when he did things grudgingly. He needed to be the best husband in the world for you.
"I don't see the need. We're doing this for charity and fun. We don't have to be the best." You explained to him.
Normally, Loki was extremely competitive. However, he didn't even want to go to that show in the first place. If you were happy, so was he.
You both got out of bed. He always insisted on getting up after you and not in a thousand years would you have guessed he did that just so he could admire your ass. After putting a robe over your nightgown, you went downstairs to prepare breakfast.
Loki hated cooking. But even so, he always made a point of helping you in the kitchen. He always insisted that just because you were a housewife didn't mean he didn't have to help you too. You melted every time he said it because he meant every single word. You had so many neighbours who were mothers and housewives who spent the whole day doing their best for the family without any help and didn't receive a single affection or gratitude from the husband who spent the whole day 'Working too hard' as if those women work meant less. You loved to take care of your home, but you still loved it when your husband insisted on doing all the dishes because "Your cooking was great, my queen. It's the least I can do" or when he made the bed, set the table and did the laundry without you asking. Every time you thanked him, he would tell you to stop being ridiculous, as he was doing the bare minimum as a husband. You really couldn't have wished for a better partner.
Loki always said you made the best pancakes in the world. You thought they were good, but not the best in the world. You were grateful anyway.
"Darling, it's already 10:00 am! I need to go to the planning committee and you need to attend the neighbourhood watch meeting" You commented after checking the time on the kitchen clock.
You didn't let Loki join you in the shower (which he thought was absurd) and within 15 minutes you were both ready. He kissed you on the forehead and you both went your separate ways.
Wanda and Agnes arrived a few seconds before you. Wanda hugged you and Agnes followed suit. You didn't quite know what to feel about the brunette woman. But if your friend liked her, Agnes was probably an amazing person. Deep down.
Dottie was every bit as perfectionist and arrogant as Agnes had described, but there wasn't much you could do about it. You were sitting between Wanda and Agnes, so you can hear the conversation between Wanda and a girl named Geraldine. She seemed to be very kind, and it's always nice to make new friends, right?
"Hi! Sorry to interrupt you, but my name is Y/n, Wanda's friend. Nice to meet you!" You said, extending your hand friendly for her to shake.
Apparently, Geraldine hadn't noticed you before, because as soon as she did, she looked like she'd seen a ghost. Her jaw dropped and she was frozen for a few seconds before she pulled herself together and answered you.
"H-hi! I'm Geraldine. N-nice to meet you!" She finally shook your hand after getting completely lost in her own words.
You couldn't follow anything else for the rest of the meeting. Maybe you made a bad impression on Geraldine and you couldn't understand why. But you decided to put that aside. Not everyone was required to like you and there was nothing wrong with that.
***
The meeting had already started 20 minutes before Vision showed up. Loki rolled his eyes. The two of them interacted frequently because their wives were friends and Loki had no problem with their friendship. But Loki was as new in town as Vision and yet Vision always seemed so… out of place. It was always obvious that he was desperately trying to fit in while anyone would swear Loki has lived in Westview all his life. So much so that he was a member and Vision was unaware that it was a members-only meeting.
To be fair, Vision wouldn't have been interested in being a member if he knew that the "Meetings" were a great front for a kind of men's club where everyone ate and "talked about" the most talked about topics in town concerning the lives of others. Gossip, basically. But people said that "Gentlemen don't gossip". Midgardians were very strange.
Loki had to restrain himself from laughing as he watched Vision's dilemma over having food offered to him. Nobody in that town had noticed that Vision was a robot. But who was Loki to judge? It's not like he and his wife don't have their own secrets buried in their backyards.
There was nothing Loki could do to stop Vision from chewing the gum Herb had offered him, even though he knew the chance of something bad happening was extremely high. Everything related to Wanda Maximoff was chaos.
He was obviously right.
The gum got stuck between the inner gears of Vision and now he looked as drunk as a skunk. Fortunately, no one but Loki seemed to notice Vision's sudden strange behaviour. Loki looked at that ugly Strucker watch (which he only wore because it was a gift from you) and realized he was late for the damn talent show. He let the group of men know about the show and they all left the library. When there were exactly three blocks left for the place of the show, Loki realized that Vision wasn't walking with them, but the Asgardian kept walking, after all, that wasn't his problem.
***
Vision was acting very strangely (Correction: More than usual). In several moments he almost revealed who he and his wife really were, but Wanda managed to be creative enough to convince everyone that all the wonders of the show were just cheap tricks (And she still managed to amuse the audience and got a standing ovation). As soon as they finished their presentation, it was your turn to perform alongside Loki.
It's not that you sang badly, but Loki had a beautiful voice that he always refused to show the world. After spending three weeks begging him daily to sing, he eventually relented.
Geraldine positioned the two of you on the stage (She still wasn't looking you in the eye) and you sat down at the piano to play the song while Loki sang. Loki's only condition for singing in front of all of Westview was that he would be the one choosing the song. To your relief, he chose L-O-V-E, one of your favourite songs. Everyone was shocked when they realized that Loki Laufeyson was going to sing. Little did they know that unfortunately for Loki, he would hang the stars in the sky if you asked him to. You smiled encouragingly at him before starting to play on the piano that Wanda had discreetly created because she had destroyed the original. As you'd expect, everyone was enthralled by Loki's voice and you both got a standing ovation. You jumped into Loki's arms and hugged him. He returned the hug immediately, not caring who was watching.
***
''I'm so proud of you, Lo! you were fantastic up there on stage! – You said excitedly. Loki kissed your temple and dragged you to sit on his lap on the couch.
''You were amazing too, my queen. But I still can't believe I submitted to that.''
You rolled your eyes before leaning in to kiss him, but he stopped you.
''Y/n/n, wait. Are you…feeling it too?'' He asked, frowning slightly.
It was only then that you noticed a delicious tingle that spread over every inch of your skin, tickling. You immediately took to noticing your living room, your clothes, and your husband. Everything was… taking on colour.
That was undoubtedly one of the most wonderful moments of your life. Seeing something you were so familiar with turn into something so beautiful and surreal was just magical. Your husband got even more handsome (Something you didn't even know was possible) and his beautiful eyes, which you now knew were green, were looking at you as if you were the most perfect thing to ever walk the planet earth. You could already feel your cheeks starting to heat up when suddenly you felt… A kick?
Loki was still holding you, so he felt it too. You both glanced at your belly at the same time only to realize that you now had a baby bump.
You were pregnant.
*** Those damned Chitauris spread out like worms through a Midgardian city that you would have found divine in other circumstances. After stabbing three Chitauris at once with your sword, you watched Loki get blown up by one of Agent Barton's arrows with a satisfied smile. He landed on the roof of Stark Tower and you and Agent Romanoff made your ways to the roof intending to get to the God of Mischief, but the Hulk attacked him before either of you had the chance. The scene of that huge green creature slamming Loki to the ground several times as if he weighed nothing would forever be one of his favourite moments.
Dr. Selvig was still dazed on the ground beside the portal. He explained that Loki's sceptre would be able to close the portal and he and Agent Romanoff agreed that it would be best if you held it since you were an Asgardian. You were almost able to close the portal using the golden sceptre when Stark's voice protested through the listening devices, stating that it was necessary to get rid of one more bomb. To your horror, he entered the portal passage with the large explosive object.
You didn't know Tony Stark very well, but you knew he was a well-meaning and intelligent man, and you felt saddened by his death, even though you knew that thanks to his sacrifice the Chitauris were dead. Rogers asked you to close the portal. You hesitated for a second, but Agent Romanoff put her hand on your shoulder and gave you a sad smile in an attempt to comfort you. From what you observed in the redheaded woman, she was very closed off and extremely cold and rational, so seeing her trying to make things easier and more comfortable for you meant a lot. You closed your eyes to gain courage and the portal was finally closed. By some miracle, huge red and gold armour appeared falling from the skies and you felt strangely glad that a man you barely knew was all right.
Later that day, the other Avengers said goodbye to you and Thor, who needed to get Loki and the Tesseract back to Asgard. And at the same time that you missed home, you had a bad feeling that very soon everything you knew and loved would undergo drastic changes. Despite all the nightmares Loki caused and the optimism of all Midgardians that everything would be all right now, you couldn't silence the little voice in your head that warned you that this was just the beginning of something much worse to come.
***
Loki was dead.
Again.
For real this time.
In his first supposed death, you weren't there in his ''Final Moments'' and you were still blinded by rage at his betrayal, but now that he had sacrificed himself to save Thor and you were beside him when Loki breathed his last, you could feel your heart (which was already broken by the tragic death of the woman you saw as a second mother) shattering into a million pieces. You'd been stabbed before and you were sure the blade piercing your skin had hurt less than watching your childhood friend die.
When you were sure that you had already reached the apex of pain, Thor Odinson, the great God of thunder, heir to Asgard and the nine Realms threw his arms around your waist, buried his face in the crook of your neck and cried like a little kid. You would have given up anything to take away all the sadness and pain that big man who was actually a cinnamon roll was feeling. Your best friend had lost his brother and you would have gladly switched places with Loki if that made Thor happy.
But the only thing you could do at the moment was hug him tight and pray that his blond hair would dry your own tears of pain.
***
Doctor Nielson said you and the baby were healthy.
Of course, that information wasn't enough and the poor middle-aged gentleman was bombarded with dozens of questions from your husband who was more overprotective than ever now that you were carrying his child.
You and Loki had already decorated the baby's room, and right now Loki was reading the third parenting book for the month. Wanda had told you that Vision was acting the same way and that they were even exchanging and indicating books to each other.
Being pregnant at the same time as your best friend is just magical.
You were about to go shower when Loki came running up to you with his phone in his hand and a face that was full of animation. You've never grabbed a phone so fast in your life and a few seconds later, you're sure you'd be bouncing if you didn't have a baby inside you.
Wanda had twins. Billy and Tommy.
Loki took the two of you to Wanda's house and the first thing he saw was your friends looking exhausted because the twins wouldn't stop crying. They thanked you both immensely for your and Loki's help (Loki was slightly compelled to do this, but the important thing is that he helped).
A few hours later, Agnes knocked on the door and the four of you started chatting. When the five of you went to check on the twins, they had aged a good five years, but you chose not to question it.
The next day, your water broke.
After that, it all went so fast. You and Loki opted for hospital delivery, so he quickly grabbed the maternity bag and put you both in the car. The nurses were extremely kind and careful with you, and even though Loki called Wanda and Vision as soon as you two arrived at the hospital, your baby was already in your arms.
It was a girl.
She was the most beautiful thing you'd ever seen, even though she looked just like any other baby a few minutes old. Her little face was puffy and red, she was screaming and crying like crazy and she was so tiny, but you already loved her more than anything in this world.
When you looked at your husband, he was completely transfixed looking at your daughter. You'd seen him give that look of pure adoration just for you, but now he looked at that little pink package like all of a sudden the world made sense because she was in it.
Loki was too scared to hold her because he was afraid of letting the baby girl fall, but you helped him and he immediately started crying.
He sat next to you on the gurney and kissed your temple tenderly and looked into your eyes with so much emotion that you felt dizzy.
"I love you so much, Y/n Laufeyson. Every day I think about how you are the strongest, most wonderful woman I've ever known and I can never express how grateful I am to be able to be with you and... Now you've given me my little girl and I never thought it was humanly possible that my love for you could triple.'' He kissed you passionately before looking down at his daughter.
''Welcome to the world, my Astrid.''
*** ''So what you're saying is that my brother and Wanda Maximoff are in a world where Vision and Y/n are alive?'' Thor questioned Darcy.
The two hadn't spoken for a long time and technically he shouldn't be in a confidential area where SWORD was working, but the scientist thought Thor deserved to know what was happening.
''Jimmy described it as 'A sitcom starring two Avengers.' But apparently, Loki and Y/n are supporting characters. Not only that, apparently all the other 'Characters' are real people who seem to be under some mind control to act as if the fact that Vision and Y/n are alive and living married lives in the suburbs is something perfectly normal.'' Thor didn't have the heart to voice it, but he felt that Loki was definitely not under mind control. Thor wasn't blind, he knew his brother was in love with Y/n since they were kids and he knew Loki was suffering a lot from her death, but he would never expect anything like... this.
''As Wanda seems to be the 'Protagonist', we're trying to contact her to understand what's going on, but she hasn't responded to the radio, Agent Franklin has disappeared and our drone has been turned into a toy helicopter. They even censored the broadcast! It's like whoever is controlling this will do anything to keep these people captive.''
Thor had seen young Wanda's powers in action and knew she was very powerful. He also knew grief all too well. By then he has already greeted it like an old friend, so he knew what the pain of losing someone loved could do to a person's mind. He was sure that those responsible for this mess and Westview's captivity were Wanda or his brother. Maybe it was even both. But he knew that neither Wanda nor Loki wanted to be 'saved'.
***
Thor knew you were strong and powerful. You were an Avenger and a member of the Asgard army who had saved Thor's ass many times before and he knew you were an amazing team on the battlefield. Unfortunately, before he was a warrior, he was your childhood best friend, who always took advantage of the fact that you don't have siblings to claim the big brother role. He said it was a family matter, but you know he was just scared because Hela had destroyed the Mjölnir and since he didn't know how powerful she was, he sent you to help Heimdall protect the people of Asgard to make sure you wouldn't get hurt. Thor said that he and Loki (yes, the bastard was alive) would take care of Hela. You had your doubts.
You and Heimdall taking care of everything well. You two had already annihilated several of Hela's 'Soldiers' and were now protecting the Asgardians in a secret fortress hidden in the forest. You were helping an elderly lady relax when Heimdall made everyone's blood (including yours) run cold.
"She's here.''
Quickly you and the guardian worked hard to get the people of Asgard to evacuate through the back of the fortress towards Bifrost. You were almost there when you came across Hela's huge beast. Immediately, everyone retreated, but on the other side of the bridge was an enemy army. Even with a giant spaceship providing cover when shooting the beast, you, Heimdall and other Asgardians were forced to fight back. Suddenly, something fell out of the ship and… Wait a minute, was that Bruce Banner?!?! Someone tugged at your shirt sleeve. You looked down only to find a toddler pointing at something that, despite being partially covered in fog, was definitely huge.
"Your saviour is here!''
You were never so happy to see that stupid man in your entire life.
***
When the three of you got back home, you begged Loki to let you buy a puppy. It would be great for Astrid's development, you argued, of course, Loki was reluctant because he knew your own selfish motives, although you were right about dogs having a positive impact on babies' lives, so a few days later he showed up at the house with the cutest Corgi puppy you've ever seen. You two named him Argos and he and Astrid immediately fell in love with each other.
It didn't take long for Astrid to grow up. She was a very sweet little girl who looked exactly like you. The only thing she had inherited from her father was his mesmerizing green eyes. She was also best friends with Billy and Tommy, the three children spent hours just playing in the backyard with Argos every day.
Today, when Astrid went to play at the boys' house, they had adopted a puppy named Sparky. Loki preferred to stay at home to build a playground for Astrid, and the kids were already making thousands of plans to play in the backyard of your house with Argos and Sparky who would definitely be friends. When you asked Wanda where Vision was, she said he was at work. Today was Saturday, but you preferred not to comment on anything.
The twins freaked out, and Wanda had to explain how couples sometimes fall out before her kids thought Vision was tired of them.
You didn't know that Wanda and Vision were fighting, but you chose not to get involved. Instead, you asked Wanda if she'd like you to take the kids to the community pool. She quickly accepted and ten minutes later you and the kids were leaving Wanda home alone so she could put the gourd back in place. That was all the help you could offer her for now.
***
It was Halloween. Astrid wanted to dress up as Wednesday Addams, which you thought was weird, as the two of them couldn't have more opposite personalities, but you agreed. To match, you had Loki dress up as Gomez and you dressed up as Morticia. Your husband pretended he thought you all looked ridiculous, but you knew he loved it. Loki didn't want to go on patrol today, he preferred to 'Enjoy his girls'. All you can do is roll your eyes, leave more kibble in the pot for Argos, and take your little family to meet Wanda and the twins.
When you finally found them, you were introduced to Pietro, Wanda's brother. He tried to flirt with you, but a single deadly stare from Loki directed at him made the silver-haired man immediately shut up.
Billy, Tommy, Astrid and Pietro were causing real chaos around the neighbourhood, which drove you and Wanda crazy, but Loki said that mischief was always welcome on Halloween and had no problem letting his daughter terrorize the neighbours next door with her friends.
You and Wanda forced the children (Pietro included) to return all the stolen sweets. That took a few hours, but once they were done, Tommy used his super speed to take Astrid and Billy to get more candy (The right way this time), leaving You, Loki, Wanda and Pietro alone.
The four of you ate and talked as you made your way to the area where a Halloween pumpkin display was being held. Everything was going well until Pietro started commenting about how 'Thanks to Wanda' people were happier and that despite everything, they were having a good and peaceful life. You didn't notice when Loki and Wanda exchanged side-eye glances for a full three milliseconds before Loki got up so fast you were sure he got dizzy and dragged you away from the Maximoff twins claiming he wanted to buy toffee apples for you both.
You were so confused by his (and Pietro's) sudden bizarre behaviour that it took you approximately 30 seconds to react. When you finally snapped out of your befuddled state, you dug your feet into the ground and faced your husband.
"Loki, what the hell was that? What do you mean by buying toffee apples? You hate toffee apples. And I know Pietro is kind of weird but he seemed very sane at the tim-" You were interrupted.
"That was nothing Y/n, you're imagining things. Pietro Maximoff is a lunatic, we both know that.
"Something tells me you don't believe a single word you're saying yourself. I don't know what he means but I feel like you do." You confronted him.
Honestly, you never noticed anything strange around you. Your life and that of your neighbours appeared to be completely normal. But Pietro said something that bothered you. Of course, you had problems, but they were many... Simple. Just minor inconveniences that more seemed to be happening to give some sense of normalcy. People always said that some things were too good to be true.
Maybe Pietro wasn't a lunatic after all.
But you knew Loki long enough to know you weren't going to win that argument. So you let him lead you by the hand to the toffee apples stand and pretended not to notice how hard he was trying to look like he was genuinely enjoying the candy and that he was not wanting to throw up.
***
How?
You had been decorated as the best warrior in Asgard countless times. You had protected Gods. You were a heroine adored by billions of people and had already survived so many adventures that you could have easily written a bestselling book about yourself (That's what the most epic books of all time were called according to Stark). And yet, how could you be so… useless?
You had lost your beloved home and on the same day you had to watch the brutal extermination of almost half of your people and you could barely defend them. You barely made it out alive, for Odin's sake!
All Thanos' fault. That titan son of a bitch you would have sold your soul just for the chance to execute and watch his scaphism. You knew he had an army of titans. You knew all the stories about how Thanos was considered practically invincible. But even so, you couldn't help hating yourself for not being enough and for letting your people down.
But by the time Thanos demanded Loki hand over the Tesseract or he'd kill Thor, you knew Loki well enough to know he'd try one last thing. But you no longer thought your life was worth much. All your instinct for self-preservation has long since disappeared.
If you had to die to protect the princes of your kingdom, that's exactly what you would do.
When the Titan pinned Thor and killed Heimdall right after defeating the Hulk, you did the first thing that popped into your head. You snatched the hypercube from Loki's hand at lightning speed and ran towards Thanos
''Here. Take the Tesseract and do whatever you want with it, just go away and leave us alone. I beg you.'' You looked pathetic like that. One of the most powerful elements in the galaxy was in your hands, and yet you were on your knees, weeping and begging for a monster to spare the rest of your people. Thanos looked at you like for a few seconds before taking the Tesseract.
''I have heard much about you, daughter of Halldis. You are known as a hero. You were wise to accept the fate of this galaxy and collaborate with the greater good.'' He said before taking his army with him and leaving you surrounded by corpses and wounded people. Thor and Loki were alive. You were useful for something.
But why did you feel so… selfish? Of course, you weren't a sociopath, but still, for a few seconds, Thanos saw you as an equal.
Hero, they called you.
But at that moment you knew you were a fraud. You felt a genuine disgust with yourself and stopped believing in the mercy of the gods. If they really were merciful, they would have let you die in that carnage.
The life of any Asgardian seemed worth a thousand times more than yours. You just didn't deserve to live.
***
Loki had left Astrid at Wanda's house to play with the twins. Astrid was always playing with the twins, so you wouldn't suspect a thing. Of course, it wasn't morally right of Loki to dilute sleeping pills in the milk on the cereal he gave you this morning. But in his defence, he was going through something he never thought he would.
He was freaking out.
Loki Laufeyson had never felt that in all his thousands of years of life.
He always had things planned out and always made sure everything went exactly as he had so meticulously envisioned. Of course, not even the most detailed man in the world could control every situation every time. But even when things didn't go as Loki had planned, he always managed to stay calm and most of the time he had a plan b. When he didn't have a plan b, he quickly found a way to save his ass. Cunning as a fox, you once remarked.
The problem is that Loki was always a completely rational person who never got into a situation without weighing all the pros and cons before giving a second thought to make sure it was worth it.
You were the first impulsive decision he made. He was crying hysterically as he felt his heart being torn apart and the next minute he was driving in a car with you holding his hand. He didn't think about what could go wrong, he was so distracted in his bubble of happiness with you that he completely forgot that something could go off the rails at any second.
And that's exactly what happened.
All the decorations in the house were changing every five seconds. Loki's magic and yours were out of control and the Asgardian God was beginning to sense that everything was about to fall apart. But he couldn't bear it, he just couldn't.
Not again.
So he had to do something that he always tried to avoid as much as possible, but unfortunately, it was his only alternative. He needed to talk to Wanda.
*** How the hell did he end up here?
He was at Wanda's house when one of those nosy agents Wanda had kicked out showed up. Wanda was starting to lose control, so Agnes took the redhead to her house. Loki still needed to speak with Wanda, so he followed the two women. The hostess made him and Wanda sit down on the sofa and then Loki slowly came to his senses. Why the hell did Agnes have so many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in her living room while a children's cartoon was playing on TV?
Now that Loki had stopped to notice things, he really felt something was missing when he walked into Wan's house...
"Maximoff, where is my daughter?" he asked, staring at the woman with daggers in his eyes.
She was still a little flustered, so it took her a few seconds before she processed his words and shook her head.
''Oh… I-I…''
Loki immediately made a dagger materialize in his hand and placed the blade against Wanda's throat.
''I'll just repeat it one more time, Maximoff. Where…" He didn't have time to finish his threat because Agnes came back into the room.
''Mr. Laufeyson, there's no need for violence, for God's sake! Astrid and the boys are probably just playing in the basement.'' Agnes butted in before Loki committed murder. The man immediately grabbed Wanda by the collar (he wouldn't let her go until he was sure his little girl was okay) and dragged her down the basement stairs in search of the children.
Loki didn't know what he expected to find in that basement; but finding multiple vines-covered columns, elaborately macabre-looking stained-glass windows, and dozens of dark magic elements were definitely not on his list.
And then suddenly, the brunette woman Loki had never liked had locked the door with her… Magic.
''The name is Agatha Harkness. Lovely to finally meet you.''
Shit.
***
''I still can't believe you of all people learned to cook. A voice behind you commented.
You rolled your eyes but couldn't help but smile.
As ironic as it seems, Loki was the one who helped you out of your self-hatred state after Thanos' victory and since then the two of you have put your differences aside and decided to try to help what's left of the world as much as possible. Thor named Valkyrie king of new Asgard and you became the Goddess of Fidelity.
You never felt you deserved the title.
Loki was the royal advisor and was doing an excellent job restoring Asgard alongside the new king. You and he spent all the Sundays with Thor to cheer him up and take care of his mental health. You helped Steve through every therapy session because you knew how difficult it was for him to try to maintain Sam's legacy like that. You and Loki also babysat Morgan one night a month so Pepper and Tony could go on dates, and even though he pretended to hate babysitting, you knew Loki was crazy about the little girl.
You two lived in the Avengers tower with Natasha to monitor the state of the galaxy in monthly meetings with Denvers, the raccoon, Rhodes and Okoye. Since the three of you lived alone and the last time Nat or Loki entered a kitchen they set the place on fire while trying to cook an egg, you were practically forced to learn how to cook. After five years of practice, you've become quite the cook.
At the moment you were making lasagna because Nat had been tired lately and that was her favourite dish.
''If I hadn't learned, the three of us would have starved to death years ago.'' You joked. So-so.
''Despite all the difficulties living in this nightmare causes, I feel strangely happy,'' Loki commented.
You both knew it was wrong. Billions of people had lost their families and friends, including you and Loki. But the two of you couldn't help but enjoy the chaotic routine you had built up together. He was far better company than you could ever dream of.
''After you're done with dinner, we could binge-watch Modern Family,'' he suggested.
''Loki we binge-watched Modern Family six times!'' You complained.
After putting the lasagna in the oven, you turned to face your friend, only to realize he was closer than you thought.
In the last few years that he's been by your side, you can get to know the real Loki. Not the man you've spent the last few years seeing as someone deserving only hatred or pity. He had changed a lot after the Snap, and you finally got to see what a caring, smart, funny, gentlemanly and occasionally kind man he was. And well, up close, you couldn't deny how handsome he was. His eyes looked at you adoringly and suddenly the air was very hot and the atmosphere had changed. He lowered his eyes to your lips and…
God, he was going to kiss you.
The man who has spent his entire life avoiding and infuriating you would kiss you and your stomach couldn't be more full of butterflies. Your heart was beating wildly in anticipation and you'd never wanted anything as badly as you wanted to feel his lips against yours.
But just as he was about to finally close the tortuous distance between you both, Natasha called you into the room to see to some business urgently. You and Loki reluctantly obey the redhead only to find her and Steve looking at the security camera footage. The shock was written on both of their faces and as you and Loki looked at the footage, you too were shocked as well.
Scott Lang was alive?!?!
***
Apparently, Wanda was wrong about the state of Westview's population. They were definitely not doing well in suburban life designed to be perfect. He hated to admit it, but Wanda needed to set them free, there was nothing Loki could do.
You wouldn't want any of this if you were alive.
He was also right about everything ending in chaos. You had woken up and gone to the square looking for him and despite wanting desperately to take you in his arms and assure you that everything was going to be okay, he was tired of lying to you. Agatha Harkness fought against the Scarlet Witch (Apparently the legend was very real and he felt stupid for not realizing the truth about Wanda Maximoff before) and Agatha was defeated.
Wanda took Loki's hand and pulled him away from his and Wanda's family so they could have some privacy.
''I-I'm sorry.'' The most powerful woman in the universe looked so small and vulnerable in front of him. Loki would never know what came over him, but he let her cry into his chest as he stroked her back.
''I'm also... sorry, Maximoff.''
Wanda and Loki weren't friends and probably never would be. But they carried the pain of a difficult past and having lost their lovers and with it their prospects for happiness in the future. He hated to admit it, but he would always feel a deep connection with Wanda and he knew she felt the same.
Wanda went to her house to enjoy her last moments with her family and Loki did the same. Astrid was sitting on his shoulders and you were holding his hand the whole way home. When he looked at you, you gave him a sad and reassuring smile at the same time and every time you did he could feel his eyes burning, his body desperate to curl up in the fetal position and cry.
You arrived home and while you sang an Asgardian lullaby to Astrid, who was hugging Argos, the little girl was falling asleep with her face buried in her father's chest. She might be young, but she could feel that this would be the end, but she needed to enjoy the last moments with her family the same way every other moment was spent: With a smile on her face.
You four deserved this.
When she and Argos were finally asleep, Loki settled her on the bed and kissed her on the cheek. He pretended not to notice the tear left on his daughter's face right after you kissed her.
You two went to your room and lay down on the bed so you could cuddle and simply feel the warmth of each other's bodies. So that the hearts of two lovers would beat in the same rhythm. You stayed that way for three minutes, three hours or three years; Loki could never tell. But then you cupped his face and kissed him. You kissed him with all the pure love you felt for him. It was a kiss so painfully sweet he wanted to cry for the twentieth time that day. You rested your head on his chest so his heartbeat lulled you to sleep. When Loki realized you were unconscious, he wanted to sleep too. All he wanted was to spend the rest of his life in your arms, in that bed. But he did not allow himself to fall asleep.
Loki knew you wouldn't be there when he woke up.
***
You thought you were used to the pain of losing people you loved. That your heart was already so broken that if someone else important to you died, it wouldn't hurt so much anymore.
When Barton came back alone and with that look in his eyes like he'd just seen his whole world destroyed, you knew Natasha was gone.
You cried for hours, shedding so many tears you could almost feel your body drying out. Natasha had suffered so much in her life and yet she knew how to be kind and give her all to help others. She always supported you and managed to comfort you when no one noticed you were not okay in the first place. One of the strongest and most wonderful women in the world had died as she had lived: Doing the impossible and beyond to save people who didn't even care about her.
And that's why all of you were here. On the battlefield in the most epic fight you've ever been on a mission to destroy Thanos and his army. Natasha had sacrificed her own life so that you all could save the world and none of you could let her die in vain.
That's how you ended up the same way you did five years ago. Kneeling at Thanos' feet as he won, as it was always meant to be.
''I am Inevitable'' He smiled sickly as he felt total victory as he snapped his fingers to finally get rid of humanity forever. Some things were just… Meant to be. Like Thanos' success in his mission. The universe was always in his favour for him to be succeeded.
But not today.
Excruciating physical pain shot through your body as you felt your right arm burn from the overwhelming amount of power coursing through your veins from the stones in your hand. You definitely wouldn't survive this.
But you had decided a long time ago that you didn't deserve to live.
''And I… Am…,'' You were making a superhuman effort to speak, but you ignored the pain and finished uttering your last words. It was time to finally find your way to Valhalla and find your parents. Aunt Frigga. Heimdall. Your Asgardian people.
Nat.
''... The Goddess of Fidelity''. You snapped your fingers and then everything went dark.
***
Thor knew he had no right to interfere, but he couldn't help but rage as he saw the looks of scorn and disgust directed at his brother and Wanda Maximoff that the residents of Westview and the S.W.O.R.D agents were sending their way. Of course, the two were wrong to enslave an entire city, but they had just lost everything. Why couldn't people understand that by willingly destroying the barrier, Loki and Wanda had given up their last chance to be happy? Why couldn't they stop feeling sorry for themselves for a second to try and reflect that those two were grieving and desperately trying to deal with this horrible feeling that no one deserved to go through?
They were all so arrogant. As if they wouldn't use Wanda's powers to bring loved ones back if they had the opportunity.
But the God of Thunder swallowed his anger and went after Loki.
He was so busy with his own grief over losing his dearest friend that he completely forgot that he wasn't the only one grieving. Now Loki was even more broken than before and there was nothing Thor could do but try to comfort him.
While you were alive, you fought tirelessly for him and Loki to have a true brotherly relationship by loving each other unconditionally. And damn him if he let anything you've fought for in your life go to waste.
Thor found Loki sitting on a bench in a small square near Westview. He was admiring the setting sun with an unreadable expression on his face.
''There's nothing I can do, brother. Nothing in this world can bring her back. I… I just want you to know that I understand your pain and that I will be here with you for as long as it takes if it helps you feel better.'' Thor finally spoke after sitting down beside his brother and staying in silence for several minutes. He never needed to comfort people who were grieving before. Despite knowing it wasn't enough, the blond God was trying his best.
And Loki knew it.
He knew that Thor meant every word and that he would indeed be sitting beside him in silence, watching the sunset for the rest of eternity if that would make Loki feel any better. When he looked away from the west into Thor's baby blue eyes, Loki began to cry.
The Loki of a few decades ago would rather die than allow himself to be in such a vulnerable position in front of Thor. But this Loki could only feel gratitude for having a brother who loved him till the moon and back and would help him deal with his pain and his hysterical crying without the slightest bit of judgment. That he would let Loki stay in his embrace forever while trying to ease his pain, even if Thor himself was miserable.
He still hadn't made up his mind if he regretted going after Wanda the instant he heard about Westview. If he regretted asking for a happy life with Y/n to the redhead who accepted the proposal immediately because she understood Loki's pain and because you had been very sweet to her when you rescued her in Sokovia and she never had a chance to thank you or become your friend.
The only thing Loki was sure of was that his heart would never heal and that his biggest regret was spending more than a millennium being hopelessly in love with you and never telling you.

Fourth if July — Loki [song fic] {PART 2}
(warning: death‼️)
Tumblr media
Well you do enough talk My little hawk, why do you cry?
Loki sat alone in your previously shared chambers once your funeral had commenced. Frigga had convinced Odin to allow you a “royal like” funeral as you were Loki’s beloved now gone.
Although it was a beautiful service in the eyes of the royal family and of the people of Asgard, Loki hated it. He hated every single moment of it…why did they always say funerals were a beautiful way to honor life?! You were gone. He accepted celebrating your life, but to call this moment beautiful?!
What a pathetic description. He wanted you alive. Forever. With him no matter what…even in death, if it were possible for you to enter Valhalla.
Breaking into tears and rage, Loki had cried cor hours on end, missing you, his beloved, his darling girl…
His best girl.
As the days grew closer to your final send off, Thor had tried reasoning with Loki to see you one last time…but he couldn’t even get words out, nothing left the God of Mischief’s mouth…he was silent, scarily silent, crying in bed, clutching a pillow and reading the first love letter you had sent him years ago, over…and over…and over
Tell me what did you learn from the Tillamook burn? Or the Fourth of July?
Soon his quiet cries turned into bright rage, lashing out at everything and everyone.
Constantly screaming and arguing with people, especially his All-Father Odin who had deemed his behaviour to be punishable.
Frigga had to kick some sense into him, reminding that this is not what you would have wanted or expected out of Loki once you passed…You’re gone forever, and nothing can change that fact.
“Mother you don’t understand, even when we enter Valhalla, she won’t be there…what even is the point of my existence?”
“Loki my boy, she was an extraordinary woman…she truly was your other half…bringing the light and best out of you…my darling, have you not learned by now? have your eyes not been opened? She may be gone, gone for eternity, but that doesn’t mean your existence is meaningless…she changed you for the better my dear…do you know how much you can do for yourself? for the world? because of her love for you?” Frigga had hold her son close, comforting him in his grief
“Mother…I…I have learned so much because of her…but what now? She was this once in a lifetime enigma…that I won’t ever see again…perhaps i can beg for Odin to strip me of my immortality, but even then…our lives beyond this plane will never meet” He stayed quiet for a second, letting a realisation dawn onto him
“You know Mother…she did teach me so much…about love and life…perhaps I can continue living her word and grace through teaching others…but I don’t know…I’ll need to think about it”
If there was a lesson you indirectly taught Loki when you were still around, it would be to continue loving even in places where love is non-existent. Become that beam of life and love, and Loki took that lesson to heart.
We're all gonna die
As the weeks passed, Loki was obviously still not ok, but he brought it upon himself to finally visit your grave…
Soon enough he visited you every other day and talked to you for hours in end. He knows you can hear him from your own Valhalla, which is the topic he always brings up in the one-sided conversations
“My love, I know one day I will too pass from this realm, that’s nothing to be afraid of…it’s just the mere fact that once I do die and ascend into Valhalla for eternity, without you. Its…something I don’t think I ever will come to terms with. Death can claim me now but even in the heavens, if we aren’t together, I will spend everyday missing you…All that I hope for is that for the rest of eternity, you and me stay happy, even if we are apart…You will never leave my heart…”
“I love you…forever”
——————————————————————————
(a/n): As requested part 2! Loki truly does love you so much :( But it seems he can slowly continue to live even if you were gone forever…i’m open to doing a part 3! love yalls!

Thanks for the request, remember they are open!
Beautiful | Plus Size!Reader x Loki
Summary: As a princess you live to high standards and surrounded by perfect bodies, feeling like you're not deserving of love, Loki shows you otherwise
Cw: Insecurity, fatphobia, dysmorphia, rude comments, rude mother, fluff, comfort, angst, body worship, slight innuendos, talks of sex and slight NSFW
Tumblr media
"Princess Y/n, your mother is waiting for you in the dinning room." Your maid said as she snapped you out of your thoughts
"Oh, I'll be there shortly" You said to her with a small smile, the maid nodded and walked out of your room
You eventually stood up, ignoring the reflection on the mirror, the one that you always avoided because of your larger body and how you didn't seem to find yourself looking good in any dress you wore
"Ugh finally you appear young lady, I'm starving- don't serve her too much, she needs to cut calories" your mother said to the server, making him give you a way smaller portion
You sat down and stared at the food, the smell was amazing but you didn't want to eat, not after what your mother said
"Remember tomorrow we are traveling to Asgard, your sister has her engagement party and we have to be there, I prepared a dress for you, hopefully the corset will fit you tight" you huffed, looking down bashfully "What? It's the truth, no one will curt you if they see you like that"
At the end you didn't even eat anything, you felt too self conscious about your body and how as much as you tried, you couldn't lose weight, accepting the fate that your destiny was to die alone, fat and alone
The next day...
Travelling to Asgard was tiring enough, but listening to your perfect sister talk about her perfect fiance and his perfect physique was even more tiring, along with the horrible comments about your body from your mother was enough to make you wanna jump out the carriage
Finally at Asgard, you were taken inside the beautiful castle, it was all so elegant and magical
"Queen Rhoda, it's always a delight to have you here" Queen Frigga said to your mother, saluting her old friend as always, with a huge hug and a bright smile "Mory, good to see you again sweetie" She said to your sister, who after saying her greetings excused herself to go see Thor, of course she did "And you must be Y/n, dear you're so beautiful" you smiled at her, muttering a quick thank you at the kind queen "Let's get you to your rooms shall we? You must be exhausted"
While walking through the halls your mother and the queen were talking about the kingdoms and how things were going, you suddenly stopped walking when a male voice was heard, you peaked from behind the queen to see no other than the Dark Prince, Loki, God of Mischief himself, talking to his mother when his eyes travelled to you
"Who would this beautiful lady be, mother?"
"This is Princess Y/n, daughter of Queen Rhoda" you went to curtsey but he stopped you
"Please, no formalities, were both royalty"
You smiled at him and he had a mischievous grin on his face, something flashed in his eyes, you quickly looked away
After what seemed like an eternity of silence, your mother interrupted saying she needed to rest to you continued walking, looking back Loki was fixated on you, making you hide your body with your arms, not wanting him to look at you
The next day...
"No, no, no, suck in your stanch lady! Gosh you really don't want anyone to look at you don't you?!" Your mother snapped making the corset tighter around your figure, making tears almost fall your eyes
"I can't... Breathe..." You barely said
"Pain is beautiful my daughter, if only you were like your sister" she said before getting out of your room, leaving you feeling even worse than you did before
The night had been a torture, everyone celebrating the engagement of your sister with the future king of Asgard, your mother throwing looks at you and the dress, gods the dress was killing you, all you wanted was to rip it apart and go to your room and sleep, but no, you had to stay there receiving looks from people
And looks from someone else too, Prince Loki had been looking at you from afar, grinning at you everytime you looked his way, finally he approached you
"I must say you look exquisite tonight my lady" he said grabbing your hand, placing a kiss there
"Well, thank you my prince" you tried to retrieve your hand from his but he held it tight
"I must say the dress is beautiful but... I'd rather see it on my chambers floor" he said looking straight into your eyes, making you look away
"Prince Loki, I should go now"
"Why my dear? The night is young, so are we" he circled you, taking in your frame, quickly hugging your body you wanted to bury yourself into a hole "Don't be shy now, let me see you"
"I-I want to go..."
"Sure dear" he grabbed your hand and walked you to your mother and his mother "Mother, Queen Rhoda, if you excuse us, I would like to take Y/n to a walk around the palace"
Your mother gave you a look that you couldn't read, surprise? Amaze? Confusion? You didn't know
"Sure Prince Loki, I'm so glad you're taking a liking of my daughter, she doesn't attract many" your mother said casually, that hurt you even more
Your breath hitched and Loki heard it, smiling fakely at her he excused you both out, walking out the ballroom he spoke again
"How are you feeling princess?" You sighed, feeling like you might cry
"Awful, I want to dig a hole and cry there, I feel like a whale in a cute dress and I, you, I just-" a sob escaped your mouth, he turned to look at you, stopping your walk
"A whale? What are you talking about princess? You are beautiful" he kissed your forehead "And no one can tell you otherwise"
"But... I'm fat, greasy and no one will ever love like this" those were your mother's words towards you and your body
The truth was, she loves you yes, but since your father left for another woman, she became insecure, transmitting all that to you through the years, she was obsessed with having perfect daughters that would marry important princes and have perfect families and children
"Princess..." He brushed away your tears "You are beautiful, look at you, you are a princess, the most beautiful creature I've laid eyes on, it would be a privilege to well, court you" he brushed your hair away from your face "If you let me, I will show you a new perspective on yourself, on your body, you deserve to be loved, to be ravished, to be fucked out of your senses until you forget your name" you gasped at his words "If you let me..." You closed your eyes and nodded, he gave another kiss to your forehead "Allow me to show you what love is like, what I can do to show you that love and make you feel it, you won't regret it, and after tonight, you'll belong to me and I'll take you away from your mother and you'll be happy"
"How do you...?"
"I am a god sweetheart, can't lie to me, I see through you, your insecurity comes from your mother and has to stop, come with me princess and I'll show you how loved you are"
You smiled at him, seeing nothing but honesty in his eyes, nodding again he walked you to his chambers, were a long night of passion and love making awaited you... Along with so much love... More than you could ever imagine...

Loki’s plans to conquer and rule Midgard have come to a disastrous end. After being captured by the Avengers, he is being held on Earth. Odin has refused to interfere, and the outlook for the God of Mischief appear bleak. His only hope may lie in one mortal woman, a Psychiatric expert brought in to interrogate him.
Dr. Caroline Thorpe is intrigued by Loki and thinks that more lies beneath his actions than is commonly known. Can she find out the truth before he is shipped off to die for crimes against the Earth? And can Loki bring himself to care?

"I could hold her, brother, if you are feeling tired."
Loki knew on a certain level that Thor's offer was kindly meant, but it still elicited a growl from him as he struggled to stay on his feet. This continued weakness was beginning to fray his nerves, to put it mildly.
"I am more than capable of carrying my mortal," he ground out, irritated by the light perspiration he could feel at the nape of his neck.
"Well, at least you know she can survive travel by tesseract," Thor said jovially. "After all, she has done it once before you know."
He did not know, which was part of the whole problem.
Once Caroline had made up her mind on speaking with Eir and his mother, it was as though she had become a force of nature. She had visibly stiffened her spine and charged into the room where Thor, Frigga, and a new mortal, this one sporting supremely asinine facial hair, were congregated. After Loki had suffered through the distinct offense of being engulfed by the absurdly barbered human in a totally unacceptable hug, he had had the amusement of watching the Crown Prince and Queen of Asgard being commanded by a tiny Midgardian woman who in the normal scheme of things should possess no authority whatsoever. To his unmitigated glee, they had quickly a quiesced to her demands that all four of them return to Asgard at once.
"What leaving so soon?" the Mortal who was introduced to him as Stark had asked. "Was it something I said? Stick around for a drink. Maybe some of that Asgardian brandy?"
"More like something I fear you might say," Caroline had sallied back. "Loki, I take it you still have the tesseract?"
"It is in my possession," Frigga told her with a smile.
"Perhaps we should just have Heimdall send the Bifrost," Loki had suggested slyly. "I think this place would be improved by a sky light."
"Never mind, get him out of here," Stark grimaced. "Doc, you sure about this? Asgard is a long way away, even for me."
"I assure you, I will make sure that she is well taken care of," Loki said, bristling at the implication in the other man's words.
"Easy there, Othello, no need to release the green-eyed monster on me. I'm a friend, remember?"
"I will be fine, Tony," Caroline covered for him before he could respond. "Take care of yourself."
Wanting to forestall any further conversation, Loki swept a startled Caroline into his arms, enjoying the feel of her cradled against his chest. His mother had produced the Tesseract, gathered them all to her, and moments later they were safely back on Asgard.
The fact that Caroline was now unconscious in his arms was not surprising, given that she was mortal, but the sight of her all but lifeless body still sent a tendril of anxiety through Loki. She had been so vital only moments before, and now her only movement was the rise and fall of her chest.
"She will surely wake quickly enough," Frigga assured him, as though sensing his unspoken fear. "It gets easier with each passage, and I was able to prepare for the trip while you two were speaking in the other room. I made sure to shield her from the worst of the effect by putting her to sleep before we left."
"Thank you," he said to her, wishing that he had thought to do so.
"I will go and locate Eir. Why don't you take her to your rooms, Loki," she suggested with a smile. "You can rest while she bathes and dons something a bit more suitable for the royal palace."
"I think she looks beautiful as she is," he replied, taking umbrage at his mother's slight to his love's appearance.
"She is lovely, Loki. But your Father will be irritated enough by the mere presence of a Midgardian on Asgard. The least we can do is see that he has no further cause for objection."
Loki nodded reluctantly. Odin's views on fraternization between Asgardians and humans was well documented. An occasional dalliance while visiting the wilds of Midgard might be excused, but a Prince bringing an Earth woman to court as his concubine was another matter entirely. The last thing he wanted to do was subject Caroline to one of his father's volcanic outbursts.
It was a short walk to his suite of rooms, yet Loki still felt winded by the time they arrived. It was clear from the slight staleness of air that it had been some time since he had been in residence. Still, it was a far sight nicer than the healers' recovery rooms had been. Gently depositing Caroline onto the bed, he opened the windows overlooking the gardens to let in the night air.
There was an easing of his soul being in these surroundings. At last, something was familiar to him again. The comforting sight of his books and instruments, the dark green and wood of the decor, and the knowledge that no one could pass beyond the threshold without his permission allowed him to relax for the first time since he had encountered Sif and Fandral. It was good to be home, in his own space.
The one thing in the room that was not as it had always been tossed gently on the bed, drawing Loki's attention. It was strange, he mused. He had no concrete memory of her, and yet Caroline occupying space in his most private sanctuary, in his very bed, felt right. He smiled as he watched her snuggle deeper into one of the copious number of pillows tossed about his bed. She did look lovely, even in her rumpled clothes and mussed hair.
With a wave of his hand, Loki disappeared most of his clothing, leaving only a pair of thin green shorts to cover his modesty. Carefully, so as not to disturb her, he climbed into the bed, molding his body to Caroline's under the covers. She gave a contented little sigh that constricted his chest in odd ways and pushed back against him. Despite his fatigue, Loki realized that he was once again fully aroused, a state her nearness seemed destined to thrust him into.
"We will figure this out, min kajesta," he murmured into her hair. "I promise you."
***
She had been prepared this time for the jolt of the Tesseract, but it had not been enough to prevent her mind from shutting down. Blearily she wondered if she would ever get comfortable enough with the form of transportation that it did not leave her completely shut down as a result. At least this time there was minimal pain. Come to think of it, she did not remember having traveled at all. One minute Loki was holding her, and the next she was... where was she?
In bed, apparently. For one disorienting moment Caroline wondered if she had dreamed it all - everything from Tony and Thor's arrival to the horrible events at SHIELD. She was in bed, and a body that could only belong to Loki was tight against her, holding her safe. Had it all been a nightmare suffered after their night of passion?
No, she knew it was not so. To begin with, there were far too many pieces of clothing between them. She was still dressed in her oversized SHIELD cast offs, and Loki was wearing some sort of underwear. Caroline was torn between relief and regret at this. She could feel his arousal clearly against her; if he had been completely naked, she would have been hard pressed to keep herself from taking advantage.
Rolling over slowly, she took a moment to gaze at her prince's face. In sleep he looked younger, less guarded than usual. He had lost weight, that much was obvious. His razor sharp cheekbones stood out even more, sharp beneath his pale skin, and dark smudges circled under his eyes. He was still so beautiful it made her ache to look at him.
Unable to bear the closeness without kissing or pawing at him, Caroline slid from the bed and wandered about the room. It was huge, easily the size of her small apartment. A thick carpet cushioned her feet as she padded about, muffling any noise. Tall windows looked out over a world now shrouded in darkness. They were opened a bit, letting in a warm air that carried a faint perfume of flowers. A bit further down the wall were doors that would open out onto a balcony, but she was not ready yet to venture out.
The color scheme was a bit darker than his home in the woods, but she would have known instantly whose room she was in. Green, accents of gold, wood, and leather. An entire nook was dedicated to a curved wall of books, in the center of which was a decidedly comfortable looking lounge chair. A table held a number of glass tubes and bottles of various colors, paper, more books, and things she couldn't hope to give name to.
On a large chest of drawers to one side, she was touched to see a portrait of what could only be an adolescent Loki and Thor and their parents. Thor had a truculent look about him, as though only sheer force had compelled him to sit still for the painting. Loki, on the other hand, looked more still than any child she could imagine, face giving nothing away. Even then, she thought, even as a child he had hidden his thoughts and emotions behind an impenetrable mask. He had learned so early to guard himself, lest he be hurt by rejection or worse, indifference.
"The bed was much more comfortable with you in it," a sleep blurred voice started her from her rumination. "I don't suppose I could convince you to come back?"
"I would ask what time it is, but I doubt that has much meaning for me here," she said, instead of answering his question. "Was I out for a long time again?"
"Well, I don't know about again," he sighed, sitting up slightly and giving her a show of his thinner but still deliciously muscled chest. "I would say you slept for just under an hour or so. It is late on Asgard, but not prohibitively so."
"Asgard," she let the reality sink in for the first time. "I am on Asgard."
"You are," he smiled, standing with a stretch that showed just how well formed he was. "Welcome, my love, to my home."
There it was again. The wrongness of the situation. Her Loki, the one possessed of his memories better and worse, no longer claimed Asgard as his home. The time might come when he did again, she hoped that some reproachment with at least certain members of his family could be achieved given time, but he would not have so easily welcomed her there.
"Can we speak with Eir tonight, or must it wait until tomorrow?" she asked.
"Mother has gone to seek her out," he sighed, walking near to where she stood and making butterflies rise in her midsection. "We shall see if she is available. If anyone can convince her, believe me it is Frigga."
"Good."
"You look nervous, little one," he smiled, tugging on a lock of her hair. "Surely this is not the first time we have been alone together."
"No," she allowed, looking down as his eyes sought hers. That was no help at all, as it brought her eyes to the unmistakable tenting in his shorts that was impossible to miss.
"Your pulse is racing. Do I make you nervous?"
"Not usually," she blurted out.
"Really?" he sounded equal parts amused and surprised.
"Oh, you try to," she said, feeling her feet a little more under her. "In the beginning you did everything you could to make me uncomfortable."
"But you were proof against my efforts?" he lifted her hand and toyed with her fingers.
"Maybe not exactly," she admitted, "but I refused to let you distract me."
"Hmm. Yet distractions can be so much fun. For instance, we have some time now, while Eir is found. I know you are anxious to see her, but you must wait. Would not a distraction be helpful?"
"I can't," she insisted.
"Can't what?"
"Can't take advantage of you," she finished, wincing at how idiotic it sounded.
Loki seemed to agree with her, as after a stunned moment he laughed at the idea.
"In what way would you be taking advantage?" he asked.
"You don't remember anything."
"My brain does not, it is true. But other parts of me clearly have fond memories of you."
Her eyes darted to his midsection once more, where the tip of his cock was now sticking out just over the band of his shorts, pressed against his flat stomach.
"It's not just that," she said, struggling to form her thoughts when all of her brain function had gone decidedly south.
"What is it then?" he asked, putting one arm around her back and pulling her in.
"When we were together before, it was more than lust," she said at last, hoping she could make him understand.
"I see."
"In the beginning, when you first flirted with me and, well, propositioned me, that was all it was. For me at least. You are stupidly attractive Loki. I hope you know that. For you it might have been, oh, distraction."
She did not want to say too much. No need for him to know that he had been hours away from death when she came into his cell and his life.
"I doubt that was all," he murmured. "You are quite alluring yourself, darling."
"In any case, it would have been purely physical. A merging of bodies. Enjoyable, to say the least but not..." she trailed off.
"Not?"
"Not love," she said at last. "Not trust. Loki, you and I may not have known each other long, certainly not by your standards, but in that short time, we shared something profound. I trusted you with my life, and in return, you trusted me with your heart."
"That sounds unlikely," he said, uncomfortably.
"It was. I admit, I was a bit of a bully about it. Perhaps it was because we were alone, or because our lives had recently been in danger, but for whatever reason, you let me in. When we were together, it was more than just our bodies. You let me see your soul, and it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen."
"Now I know you are lying," he said, turning away. "My soul is a tarnished bauble."
"No, it's not," she was angry now. "And this is just the point. We have been through this Loki! I will keep convincing you over and over if I have to that you are worthy of love. I am more than stubborn enough to do it. But I want you to love me too. Or at least to know why you want me. Anything else will feel empty by comparison."
Damn, but she deserved a medal! She was half ready to take it all back and throw herself on him when Loki released her and backed away.
"If it was as you say, you do indeed deserve more than I offered you just now. If you wish it, I can take you to your own set of rooms."
"Please don't!" she said, eyes welling up a bit as panic set in.
"My love?" he was confused now, understandable considering her complet turn around.
"I'm sorry," she took a deep breath, trying to steady her thoughts. "Loki, in the past few weeks I have been shot at, teleported across the world, witnessed real magic, gone into hiding, fallen in love with a GOD, experienced the most world shattering sex in my life, had the walls blown in around me while tied to a bed, been possessed by a sentient rock, shot the person I love, convinced myself I had killed them, learned the they were alive but had no memory of me, and been transported to an alien planet! I have gone well past the ends of my ability to cope. I am two seconds away from bursting into tears and hiding under your bed. The only thing that is holding me together is the fact that you are here, and alive, and maybe I can be of some help to you. Please, please Loki, don't send me away."
She was shaking now, from her head to her toes. The hold that she had kept on herself coming rapidly loose as she vented her anxieties.
"I am not sending you anywhere," Loki assured her, pulling her close and wrapping both arms around her in a fierce embrace. "I may not remember the connection you speak of, but that does not mean I do not feel it. My words before were mere bravado, love. The truth is, I feel more at ease with you here, in my rooms and in my arms, than I remember feeling ever. I know not how you reached me, but it is clear that my heart resides in yours. Stay with me, min kjaereste. I will not overstep again. I promise."
"I don't" she laughed unsteadily. "Loki, I got out of bed because it was the only way I could keep from mounting you while you slept."
His eyes turned dangerously dark at her words, and Caroline had to exert all of her willpower to calm herself down.
"In this case," Loki said, pushing her away once more, "we must retrieve my memories without delay."
"Agreed. For both our sanity's sake."
"I will draw you a bath in the adjoining room, and lay out some gowns for you to choose from. Mother thought it wise for us to clothe you as an Asgardian."
"Will Eir have issues with me being human?" she asked.
"Eir has issues with everyone," he shrugged. "It is rather -"
"Yes?" she prompted.
"Odin is not overly enthusiastic about humans on Asgard."
"Odin?"
"It is possible, likely even, that we will encounter him."
Caroline thought of all the stories Loki had told her of his adopted father. From his pitting his two sons against each other, to his obvious favoritism of Thor, not to mention his horrible secret of Loki's birth, she had quite a few things she would like to say to the AllFather of Asgard.
"Whatever I have told you, it must have been one of the more lurid stories," Loki laughed. "I have never seen someone look so fierce. You could be a Valkari, my love."
"Let's just say I have opinions on Odin's parenting," she ground out.
"As do I. Come, let us get you bathed."
The visual these words inspired washed all thought of Odin from her mind, and Caroline decided that perhaps a cold bath might be in order.
"Thank you, I could use that," she agreed.
"It is this way. And I will be just outside, if you need help washing your back. Or anyplace else."
With a smirk and her small whimper, Loki led her to a small door in one wall, feeling more like her love every minute.

"Loki."
Frigga's voice was quiet, but it resonated through the towering throne room like a solid echo, a ghost before it ever lived. Cora crouched and peeked through the gap between the doors just as a familiar voice reached her ears. Loki smiled, but it was cold and sarcastic. "Hello, Mother. Have I made you proud?"
He was different. He was so completely different in every way she could see in that moment. He had filled out in musculature, his form built up from the youthful lankiness she remembered. His hair was longer, just past his shoulders now, and his entire demeanor had flipped like a switch.
Loki was no longer just sly or just composed, his movements were taut and controlled like a predator's. More than ever, she could see the anger, the bitterness, and a new ruthlessness in him which all seemed to have grown in their separation. It had been only months, tops, but he was so severely changed.
Frigga saw this, too; Cora could tell despite the fact that she was faced away from her, toward Loki. How could she not? Cora knew she, herself, hadn't seen Loki in a little over six months based on the date, but she had no idea how long Loki had been away from Asgard by the time she'd met him, how much he'd changed even by then. "Please don't make this worse."
Loki gave a mockingly thoughtful glance before murmuring, "Define worse."
"Enough. I will speak to the prisoner alone," Odin's voice rang out from the throne, which was out of Cora's line of sight. She bit her lip as Frigga hesitated and then made her way back to the door, backing up when she reached the door. Frigga looked at her, seeming startled to remember that Cora had lingered. She smiled weakly before taking Cora's hand and closing the door to a crack again, both standing together to listen.
Chains clinked as Loki stepped closer to the throne, the manacles around his ankles slamming together as he stood at attention, all in taunt, before his adoptive father's throne. An amused laugh danced against the walls before he noted in all seriousness, "I really don't see what all the fuss is about."
Cora wanted to ask Frigga what was really going on, but she didn't want to miss a word of what was said beyond those doors and she could feel the Queen's grip on her hand tightening ever so slightly as she listened to who her son had become. She couldn't get over how different he was; Cora had met him when he was becoming less like the boy he'd been, but the man she saw now was quite unlike the young man she'd known. She couldn't imagine how different he was from the boy Frigga had known and raised.
Cora gave Frigga's hand a gentle squeeze as Odin asked calmly, "Do you truly not feel the gravity of your crimes? Wherever you go, there is war, ruin, and death."
"I went down to Midgard to rule the people of Earth as a benevolent god. Just as you do," Loki argued softly, sounding confident in his means.
"We are not gods. We're born, we live, we die. Just as humans do," Odin argued unwaveringly.
Loki snickered and remarked, "Give or take five-thousand years…" Cora's eyes widened at that and Frigga nodded beside her as an answer to her silent question of whether or not that was accurate. She'd known their kind—and apparently her kind as well—lived for quite some time, but for "give or take" fifty times the length of a long human life? She couldn't imagine; from what she'd experienced so far, twenty-five years felt like a long time to toil in the world.
"All this… Because Loki desires a throne," Odin mused, seeming to take a new angle with his tone that rammed straight home in the fallen prince's ego.
"It is my birthright!" he shouted defensively.
"Your birthright," Odin enunciated angrily, "was to die as a child. Cast out onto a frozen rock. If I had not taken you in, you would not be here now to hate me."
The pause that followed was short, but it made Cora's insides feel like they were beginning to cave in. He'd told her he was adopted; he'd never said he'd been abandoned. And despite Odin's obvious dislike with what his son had become, the words were biting and unfair in her ears. When Loki finally spoke, he sounded tired and almost impatient. "If I am for the ax, then for mercy's sake just swing it. It's not that I don't love our little talks, it's just…" He paused again. "I don't love them."
Cora and Frigga shared a glance as Odin clearly explained, "Frigga is the only reason you're still alive and you are not to see her again. You'll spend the rest of your days in the dungeon."
The chains clanked faintly before Loki's voice persistently rose above them. "And what of Thor? You'll make that witless oaf king while I rot in chains?"
"Thor must strive to undo the damage you have done, will bring order to the nine realms, and then, yes. He will be king," Odin said coolly as the clinking of the links became louder and louder as the guards drew Loki from the throne room.
Frigga gently guided Cora back from the door as the party of eight heavily armored guards pushed it open, pausing to bow before their queen. Loki stood amidst them and turned his gaze upon his mother with a faint sneer upon his lips. "I gather then that this is goodbye, Mother. I must thank you so much for—"
He stopped after his eyes had briefly slipped down to the woman at his mother's side, nearly looking away before his addled mind processed just who it was, which was the instant his words caught in his throat.
Loki's eyes met Cora's and, as it always had, the intensity of his gaze sent a jolt through her, though after all this and what had come before, it was lackluster. His lips parted on a question, but he stopped himself, and in the few seconds just before the guards forced him away on the King's orders, his features relaxed with the closest thing to vulnerability anyone had seen in ages.
Before they cleared the hall, Loki glanced back one more time at the two of them, at the sad and slightly confused look upon his mother's face and the thin frown of mixed emotions upon Cora's. She was alive. And what would she think when she understood why?
Cora watched them turn the corner and disappear, then looking to Frigga, who was already looking at her with a slightly lifted brow. Cora tried to think of something to say, but drew a blank and Frigga beat her to breaking the silence. "I have a feeling," she said gently, "that we have not been entirely open with one another."
"Frigga, I'm—"
The Queen lifted her hand and smiled, touching Cora's cheek lightly. "I know, I am certain your reasons are good. Come, let us go have something to eat and then we will go to the courtyard to continue with your swordsmanship. And have a talk, yes?"
Cora smiled back and nodded, sighing when she saw the moisture in Frigga's eyes, tears she was holding at bay. Paying no mind to the fact that she was the queen of an extraterrestrial realm, Cora pulled her into a hug, knowing no matter who she was, she was probably in sore need of one.
Frigga was surprised by the gesture, but her smile soon returned and she enfolded the younger woman in her arms. "Thank you, dear one."
Tumblr media
Cora yelped as she landed on her backside for the third time in an hour. Frigga wasn't going easy on her anymore and it showed every time she lost her balance or got her feet knocked out from under her. She was starting to get sore this time, not from overexertion, but from an overabundance of failure.
Frigga held out her hand and helped Cora up. "You will learn faster this way," she explained apologetically before suggesting, "Why don't we take a break, hm?"
"A break sounds good," Cora panted, setting her training sword down and moving over to sit in one of the ledges of the golden arch-hollowed wall behind them. Frigga joined her and a nearby servant stepped forward to offer them a tray of drinks. Cora took one as Frigga did the same, taking an experimental taste; it was some kind of juice with a pungent flavor that resembled mixed berry V8.
"I meant to ask," Cora began after swallowing the refreshingly cold sip she'd taken, "about the hallway exercise you had me do. How did you know that would work?"
"I didn't," Frigga smiled, holding her golden cup and idly smoothing her thumb against the side. "But it was something I had done with Loki a long time ago, when he was just a boy learning to use his own gifts. The ones I bestowed upon him after we took him in. Which brings me to my own questions… You know my son. How?"
Cora's gaze dipped to peer into her drink as she began to explain, "The ones who were forced to freeze me were tracking me down. The day Thor helped them with the hammer? Loki was there. He saw me pick up Mjolnir." She said the last bit in a hushed tone so no one else would hear. It had been made clear that it would be better if no one else knew. "He thought that I could help him with all this," she said, giving a general wave that indicated Asgard and his endeavors to secure the throne, "so he took me with him and we were hiding out in a warehouse for a few days. Maybe a week."
Frigga nodded a couple of times and asked, "How much did he tell you?"
"That he was the rightful king. Adopted. He said he'd been lied to and deceived about who he was." Frigga sighed and glanced down with another nod and Cora frowned. "I'm not trying to hurt you by telling you this. I'm just trying to be as open as I can be."
"I understand. I also understand why you did not tell me sooner."
Cora nodded and asked quietly, "What happened on Earth? Why won't anyone tell me? I mean, based on what Odin said back there, I know people died, but what part did Loki have in it?"
Frigga's features contorted faintly in remorse, her lips pursing into a thin line as she replied, "First of all, I am sorry for keeping you in the dark, but the truth is no one knows precisely what happened. I told Sif not to tell you what she knew, though she knows only so much as I do—do not blame her for her silence."
She sighed and stood, setting her half-empty cup back on the servant's tray when he returned. "If you wish to know the full story, speak to my eldest when he returns." A gentle smile graced her lips although her eyes remained sad. "You did wonderfully today, by the way. Even if it does not feel as if you did."
Cora smiled bashfully and finished her drink. "Thank you. For everything, again."
"Of course," she said warmly before telling her she would see her later in the day and making her exit to go speak with her husband. Cora watched her go before setting her cup on the tray as well, the servant departing and leaving her to her own thoughts in the breezy, flowering courtyard.
Tumblr media
Cora had been to essentially one house party in her life. It had been when she was a junior in high school and she'd only gone because her best friend at the time had wanted to drink and hit on some guy from her History class. She'd been shocked at the partiers' methods at the time with destroying property, getting wasted, and drooling all over each other in any available room with a closable door.
She hadn't considered herself much of a partier until that evening, when she accidentally attended the second large party of her lifetime, which was in the form of an Asgardian banquet. The drinking and destruction were still in abundance, but there was something warm and communal about it, something safe. Thor, Sif, and the rest of their troop had returned from the other realms, where they had been gradually bringing things back into order, as Odin had said they would.
Cora had been sitting silently, sipping a goblet of wine, and just absorbing the festive atmosphere around her; everything was right within Asgard to its born inhabitants, the ones outside the royal family at least. Their black sheep of a prince was caged, their crown prince was winning the favor of the universe with every visit to another of the Nine, and they had plenty of booze and savory edibles to go around. What could possibly be wrong in the world?
She wished she could feel so easy about all this. That she could feel easy at all anymore. Cora had started her angst at a young age after losing her parents and it had gradually solidified over the years into instinctive stoicism, like plaque in an artery. One day it would be blocked off entirely and she'd feel nothing at all.
Cora sighed and was considering leaving the room when the one she'd been waiting for a chance to speak with walked by, cloaked in a relaxed brown garment. She could tell it was Thor by the way everyone bowed, clapped hands to his shoulders, praised him like the god he was. Getting to her feet, she followed him out of the hall, pausing when he stopped a moment to talk to Sif and continuing her pursuit when they parted.
"Thor!" she called over the roar of voices and the hulking prince turned, glancing right over her head before thinking to look down and finding her weaving her way toward him. "Er, Prince Thor, I guess?"
He smirked faintly, his mind seeming somewhere else. "Thor will more than suffice," he said before taking a good look at her face, which was dappled by shadows from the flickering torches. "I know you. You are the one who swiped my hammer."
At first she was concerned, but a teasing grin curved his lips and crinkled the corners of his eyes, causing her to breathe a sigh of relief. "Yeah, that's me. Sorry about that, by the way. Hope you didn't need it in that time."
"I learned to get along without it some time ago though it remains rather disagreeable," Thor admitted lightly before growing more serious. "What need you of me?"
Cora hesitated and then blurted out, "I need to know what happened on Earth."
Thor frowned and the expression deepened by the second. "You were—"
"I was incapacitated months before it happened, probably. When did it happen, actually?"
"You are not an ally of Loki's, then," Thor asked without quite asking at all, waiting for a confirmation.
Cora thought about that before shaking her head slowly. "I don't think so. But I would consider myself his friend, at least."
Thor nodded briefly, seeming to find something slightly ironic in that before nodding for her to come with him. "Come, we will speak where it is quieter."
Cora followed him down the hall to a terrace, where he leaned against the raised ledge and looked out across his kingdom, his eyes moving briefly toward the horizon with an edge of longing in them. "It happened just a few days ago," he began with a tight frown. "In New York. Loki brought an army of Chitauri—reptilian underlings of a being called ‘the Other’—to your world under the command of greater beings we have not identified just yet. I simply know he was not working alone."
"An army?" Cora repeated quietly, waiting for him to continue when he seemed reluctant to. She took a deep breath and asked, "How many? I mean how many people… Humans…"
Thor sighed and murmured, "Hundreds." Cora winced visibly and Thor straightened, turning toward her. "I am sorry I could not protect your world from my brother, I did not do all that I could have."
"No," Cora murmured in a tight voice, shaking her head. "No, I'm sure you did everything you could. And thank you for that. I just can't believe he…"
"I wish I could disbelieve it, but he has changed immensely from the brother I loved," Thor said bitterly, watching her. "The Loki I knew… Perhaps part of the one I suspect you knew as well…is gone, Cora."
Cora looked up at him. "How do you know my name?"
He smiled. "My mother has told me about you. She thinks quite highly of you. Cares about you a great deal."
She smiled, too, laughing softly. "She's a wonderful woman. I owe her so much."
"She does everything she does because she wishes to," Thor reassured her. He grew more serious after that and said, "It is good to know you at last," but a faint smirk tilted his mouth as he added, "However, grant me a boon and give me notice next time you wish to borrow my weapon."
Cora returned the smirk and rolled her eyes. "Thought you knew how to get along without it."
"That does not mean I prefer it," he chuckled before stepping past her to go back inside the palace. "Goodnight and enjoy the banquet. We should speak again soon. I have a few questions for you as well."
"I've got time."
"Sadly, as heir, I'm expected to 'enjoy' the banquet, myself, though I would rather keep from the noise and mess this eve. I once delighted in it, but it has since grown old."
Cora nodded before glancing toward the horizon and commenting, "You'll have to tell me about your special person some time." This caught Thor off-guard and he turned to look at Cora, who stood with her back to him. "No one looks at the sky like that and only sees the stars."
Thor smiled faintly and nodded, glancing once more at the white-dappled sky before leaving the terrace. Cora walked back in as well shortly after, heading toward the entrance to the banquet hall when she stopped short, her eyes moving toward the adjoining hall as a thought occurred to her. Midnight blue eyes flickered once back toward the party before she silently left it, moving down the vacant corridor to where the throne room doors held precedence at its end.
Cora began to leave the enclosed hall, but ducked out of sight at the edge of the archway just as a couple of liquored-up guards strolled through, heading to the festivities after a successful shift. She waited until she could no longer hear their conversation before she stepped from the shadows and left the corridor, taking one more glance behind her before she began to slowly make her way down a nearby staircase to the palace dungeon.

Lost and Found
Pairing: Loki x reader
Warnings: cursing, mentions of violence (not graphic), restaints
Summary: After the attack on new York. Loki is sentenced.
Part 3-
====================================
Tumblr media
Thor stood in front of Loki, holding out the container with the tesseract in it. Loki glared at him and grabbed the other side. Thor turned the handle, as light engulphed them they were shot across space, landing back in Asgard. Loki sighed, knowing what was about to happen.
Suddenly three gaurds were on them, attaching a collar and chain to Loki's neck, hands and waist as another gaurd chained his feet. "Come brother, father is waiting." Thor said removing his gag. "He's not my father!" Loki yelled, as Thor drug him forward. "Don't you think this is a bit much?" Loki asked holding up his chained hands. "You can't be trusted brother, we will remain cautious." Thor said continuing to pull Loki along.
Loki remained silent as they made their way to the throne room. Thor was in front of him, and two guards holding his chains behind him. Loki looked up to see Odin on the throne and rolled his eyes. As they approached he saw Frigga come out from behind the throne. "Loki..." She whispered looking at him. "Hello mother, have I made you proud?" He asked looking at her. "Don't make this worse." She said sternly. "Define worse...." he said when they were interrupted. "Enough, I will speak to the prisoner alone." Odin boomed hitting Gungnir on the floor.
As Frigga left, Thor stepped aside but remained "father, I ask you show mercy, Loki was not himself on earth." Thor said looking at Odin. Loki strode closer to the throne, before clapping his feet together, causing the chains to clang through the hall. "I don't see what all the fuss is about, I went to Midgard to rule the people of earth as a benevolent god.....Just like you." Loki said glaring at Odin. "Do you truly not feel the gravity of your crimes?" Odin asked, standing and walking towards Loki. "I was simply reminding the people of their place, it is no worse then what your golden son has done." Loki said, Odin shaking his head.
"Everywhere you go there is war, ruin and death." Odin said looking again at Loki. "I was merely living the lie I was told my whole life, that I was born to be a king." Loki said scowling. "All of this because Loki desires a throne." Odin said mockingly. "It is my birthright!" Loki yelled "Your birthright was to die, as a child, cast out onto a frozen rock!" Odin yelled. "If I had not taken you in, you would not be here to hate me." Odin said glaring at Loki. "If I am for the ax for mercies sake just swing it. It's not that I don't love our little chats it's just........I don't love them." Loki said glaring at Odin.
"Frigga is the only reason your still alive Loki, and you'll never see her again." Odin said stepping closer. "And since you wanted to be on Midgard so much, that is where you will spend the rest of your days." Odin said turning towards Thor. "Father, you can't send him back there, they will kill or imprison him." Thor argued to Odin. "Then so be it." Odin said looking at Thor. "You will make me live among those.....mortals!?" Loki yelled at Odin. "They are beneath me, unworthy to clean my boots!" Loki continued yelling. "Take him to the bifrost." Odin ordered the gaurds. "You can't do this to me, I am a God!" Loki yelled as he was drug away. "Father, why?" Thor asked. "Do you question my judgment?" Odin asked stepping towards Thor. "No, father, I just worry what they will do to him." Thor said. "He deserves whatever they decide." Odin said heading towards the bifrost.
Odin stepped into the bifrost, seeing Loki struggling with the gaurds. "Loki, enough!" Odin bellowed stomping Gungnir on the floor. He put the spear into the bifrost opening it, the bright colors swirling around behind Loki. Loki looked at Odin wide eyed "you cant do this to me! Put me in the dungeons, it would be a better fate then this!" Loki yelled again. Odin stepped forward, ordering the gaurds to remove the chains. "Loki, Odin son , you are unworthy of this realm, unworthy of your title, and unworthy of the loved ones that you have betrayed." Odin's voice boomed. Two gaurds held Loki's arms as Odin placed his hand on his forehead, closing his eyes "What are you...." Loki started before his eyes went blank and glowed white. After a few minutes he removed his hand, Loki appeared to be in a trance. "Father, what have you done?!" Thor yelled from behind him. "It is not your concern!" Odin yelled, turning back to Loki. I'm the name of my father, and his father before I, Odin Allfather, cast you out!" He yelled. As a bright light shot towards Loki, pushing him into the bifrost.
"Father, I demand to know what you have done to his mind!" Thor yelled storming towards Odin. "I have ensured he will not cause more suffering." Odin said, removing his spear, shutting down the bifrost. "Hiemdall, Loki is not to return to this realm." Odin said, Hiemdall nodding, as Odin stormed out, Thor left to look for their mother.

"Mother, what has father done to Loki, he touched his forehead and Loki seemed.....empty." Thor asked Frigga. She sighed "It appears your father has manipulated his mind, erased his past.......erased us." Frigga said looking down. "Why would he do that?" Thor asked. "I am not certain my son, but there's a reason for everything your father does, it is not our place to question it." She said. "I only hope he is ok." Thor said sitting down. "As do I son." She said sitting next to him, rubbing his back.

my coworker and i were talking today about the new season of loki and how neither of us has watched any of the new episodes yet and what was crazy was that he said he had heard next to nothing about the new series, whether it was bad or good or anything like that, and he's on tiktok and instagram and twitter, like he's very active with social media. and then i was like ..wow you're right come to think of it i have not heard a LICK about the new season with the except of one piece of fanart from the tumblr radar. and he was like if i didn't know better i wouldn't have known at all that there was a new season because there's been zero talk about it online and only a few commercials on tv. and then i confessed to him that despite loki being one of my favorite characters ever i really wasn't all that into the first season and hardly excited about the second and i really felt like they didn't do his character justice and also i think the sylvie arc was stupid as hell and mobius should die and to make things even worse they barely gave loki ANY cool sexy audacious outfits to wear. like. he wore a fucking dirty white button up and slacks and a tie nearly the whole time it seemed. also i didn't say this to him but i hhaaated that they were pushing loki and sylvie to be together, and i didn't hate that because it was "weird" that it was "selfcest" or whatever like that wasn't even the worst bit the worst was that sylvie's character is bland and boring and kind of anoying and it makes me feel like i'm a misogynist for not liking her but honestly i think th emarvel writers just threw her in there and maybe they're the real misogynists here. like everything about the show just sucked and it's like okay are you going to give loki an actually interesting arc or are you just going to make his whole character about being abused and neglected and soooooooooo close to redemption but it turns out he'll always be the bad guys haha! like what the fuck. marvel always fucking treats him like trash not to mention i thought the plot of s1 was kind of boring and i would MUCH rather watch a loki tv show that was all about his youth on asgard or honed in specifically on his relationship with thor OR GOD FORBID HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS MOTHER??? QUEEN FRIGGA??? DOES ANYONE REMEMBER HER CAN WE GET A LITTLE SPOTLIGHT ON HER?? AND THE WAY SHE TREATS LOKI SO WELL AND MAKES HIM FEEL LIKE HE'S REALLY WORTH A DAMN IN THIS WORLD?? I WANT TO SEE THAT KIND OF STUFF NOT MARVEL'S SAD AND SORRY ATTEMPTS AT HETEROSEXUAL ROMANCE CONCERNING A CHARACTER WHO IS CANONICALLY QUEER. GET LOKI A FCKING BOYFRIEND AND THEN DIE !!!!!!

Loki's Character Development: Infinity Saga vs TV show
In the Infinity Saga of the MCU, Loki's character development can be highlighted in two moments:
The first is the vault scene in Thor 1: I couldn't find a picture like the one below for the "Undying Fidelity" scene in Infinity War so I literally just copied the dialogue from my fanfic, "The True Tragedy of Loki of Asgard" and highlighted the bits where Loki is freaking out due to his entire identity being taken away from him in bold:
Odin: Stop!
Loki: Am I cursed?
Odin: No.
Loki: (As he puts the Casket back down) What am I?
Odin: You're my son.
(Loki turns to face Odin, his face is fully blue with runes all over, and his eyes are red like blood, the blue skin begins to fade)
Loki: What more than that? (As he walks towards Odin) The Casket wasn't the only thing you took from Jotunheim that day, was it?
Odin: No. In the aftermath of the battle, I went into the temple and I found a baby. Small for a Giant's offspring. Abandoned, suffering, left to die. Laufey's son.
Loki: (looking away from Odin) Laufey's son.
Odin: Yes.
Loki: Why? You were knee-deep in Jotun blood, why did you take me?
Odin: You were an innocent child.
Loki: No. You took me for a purpose. What was it?
(Odin hesitates)
Loki: (shouts) TELL ME!
Odin: I thought we could unite our kingdoms one day. Bring about an alliance, bring about permanent peace. Through you.
Loki: (barely audible) What?
Odin: But those plans no longer matter.
Loki: So I am no more than another stolen relic, locked up here until you might have use of me.
Odin: Why do you twist my words?
Loki: You could have told me what I was from the beginning, why didn't you?
Odin: You're my son. I wanted only to protect you from the truth.
Loki: Because I'm the monster parents tell their children about at night?
Odin: No, no.
Loki: (as he climbs the stairs towards Odin) You know, it all makes sense now! Why you favored Thor all these years! Because no matter how much you claim to love me, you could never have a Frost Giant sitting on the throne of Asgard!
And the second is the "Undying Fidelity" scene in Infinity War:
Tumblr media
In the Infinity Saga, Loki's character arc revolves around his identity crisis, which is brought about by Thor's misadventures on Jotunheim and the vault scene. But it is resolved when Loki embraces the Asgardians as his people and Thor, Odin, and Frigga as his family while also embracing his Frost Giant side as well.
So in the Infinity Saga, Loki's identity is very much tied to Asgard, Thor, and Odin.
In the TV show, these ties are taken from him, which is very clear when the TVA prunes his timeline and strips him of his Asgardian armor in the pilot.
And his character development in the show is highlighted, in my mind, by his final line in the Season 2 finale: "I know what I want. I know what kind of god I need to be. For you, for all of us."
I absolutely love how Tom turned the "for you, for all of us" line on its head. In Thor 1, it was a desperate plea for acceptance after he had done terrible things for Asgard and for Odin. In the Season 2 finale, he has acceptance and belonging, with people other than Odin, Thor, and the Asgardians and he knows what he wants. In the Season 2 finale, it's more of I'm sacrificing myself because I already have belonging and acceptance. It's more because I care about them, not because they care about me.
So in Main Timeline Loki and TV Show Loki are different.

LCU (Loki Cinematic Universe) Rewatch Part Three here we come!
Thor: the Dark World
Oh Gods I forgot how…indescribable this movie is. I have no words. The outfits and settings look so real and the elves look so fake?
Me every time I see Loki: oOmMgGg Hiiiiiiiiiii 😘
“Mother did I make you proud?” And the whole way he handles this scene…How did anyone ever take him seriously - no wonder he went off the rails, that’s his greatest fear
“Do you not feel the gravity of your crimes” ok this is pure speculation but going off of what we know about Loki’s moral and emotional system - he’s capable of remorse and empathy, but he tends to compartmentalize and bury guilt and shame, repress and conceal his true feelings, and rationalize, minimize and justify his actions instead of accepting what he sees as weakness, so yes, I’d imagine that deep down he absolutely fucking feels it. And it don’t feel good.
Loki justifies his imperialism genocide and violence in an imperial genocidal militaristic society but the second he becomes king he decreases military intervention something something (one of the good bits of Ragnarok)
“I don’t enjoy hurting people” But Odin does. And so Loki pretends to.
BOOOOOO Odin no one likes you BOOOOOOO SCREW YOU
oMggg Sif hiiiiiii. Look at her, Thor. LOOK at her! With your eyes! She prettyyyyy
Odin and Thor: talking about Thor’s love life. Loki probably: rocking back in forth in his cell because no one’s ever gonna love him. Another Loki at the same time: chasing his soulmate across spacetime because she pulled a Loki on him and he finds that endearing
The sets and ambiance of Asgard are gorgeous how do I move there
Yet another obscure character I don’t remember, Darcy’s in the comics now I’m so proud, Selvig’s lost his last marble, so have I Selvig, so have I
The weird gravity/time space anomaly/warp thing in that abandoned building actually makes for a fun scene. You cannot change my mind on this. The Aether is pretty creepy though ngl.
Thor and Jane are so cringe together. I love them. They also break my heart
The plot of this movie is really…something
Loki and Frigga’s bond actually makes me teary I know they didn’t have the best relationship it was strained and toxic at times but omg they care about eachother so much I’m getting emotional…she genuinely was the only person Loki truly loved in a healthy way. And he fucking lost her. FUCK
Cut to me relating to Loki so much it makes me physically recoil. I’d get into why but I’m not trauma dumping today.
“I don’t know why Loki helped the dark elf get into the palace”…lol stop lying to yourself you know the reason very well. You have the same resentment and lust for chaos inside you that Loki does…that desperate grief that makes you want to burn down the world that burned you. you know. I see my worst in Loki, and his story gives me hope that I can change. There’s a good chance I will die young (medical shit) and Loki dying young also gives me comfort.
This movie is peak Loki. I just fucking adore the little shit. I just aahfhkjkmng *aggressively squeezes*
Heimdall is underrated
Someone on discord said Frigga autocorrected to Fridged on their phone and Frigga’s dying and that’s all I can think about rip…bruh this scene hits a lot harder after my dad’s death ✌️
HE WASNT EVEN ALLOWED AT HER FUCKING FUNERAL FUCK YOU ODIN DRINK BLEACH!!!!Anyways I forgot how cinematic and heartbreakingly beautiful the funeral was
YOU CAN SEE THE SPARK LEAVE HIS FUCKING EYES IM GONNA FIGHT ODIN IN A DENNYS PARKING LOT. I’m ending on the Loki illusion scene for tonight because it’s 3 am and I’m in emotional distress.
How can anyone watch the illusion scene and the deleted bits and actually believe Loki is a cold hearted psychopath? I have this fucked up headcanon that Loki almost attempted suicide after Frigga’s death and either stopped himself…or Thor showed up right on time. I can’t prove it but I know it’s true by gut instinct.
There’s something so weirdly profound about someone who seeks out death being unkillable. Character who thinks he represents death actually represents life. That’s something the Loki series actually did well. They definitely screwed up his character in places, but I can see the backbone of what they intended. I don’t know how to explain this, but I don’t ship Sylvie with TVA Loki, I ship her with Pre-Ragnarok Loki. Aka, I characterize TVA Loki as closer to OG Loki than he is thus far.
There’s a tiny detail about Loki that makes me go feral. You have to psychoanalyze a little, but Loki doubts his brother even cares about him, so whenever Thor says he feels betrayed and threatens him, Loki smiles. It means Thor cared. It means there’s hope. Negative attention is better than none at all. Disappointment is better than apathy. I wish I didn’t know how he feels.

Jane triumphed over mortality, a rant
I just saw these YouTube videos about "who else is in Valhalla" or whatever, because they died in battle. (And see my Frigga post where I do think more characters than we see turn to Valhalla dust can be in Valhalla, but that's not the point of this rant.)
But it is not JUST that Jane died in battle that allows her to go to Valhalla. Heimdall welcomes her to the afterlife of the gods, specifically.
Earlier in the film, the sun god Rapu had told Gorr that there wasn't an eternal reward for mortal worms. His life and that of his daughter were, essentially, meaningless.
And Gorr explicitly identifies with Jane. He says she is like him. A mortal. She's dying and it will be a meaningless death and the gods won't do anything.
But. Jane.
Jane goes into battle knowing she will die. She meets all the requirements of Valhalla that Thor&Sif laid out, yes. A lot of characters have done that.
Jane goes further. She saves Thor. She saves Axel. She saves the children. She pulls the Necrosword into Mjolnir, a metaphor for the cancer in her own body. It's because her form is mortal that she can destroy that corruption.
Jane doesn't just lift or use Mjolnir like Cap and Vision have. She is linked to it. It's broken and so is she. (Here I actually wish Thor enchanting Mjolnir wasn't part of the movie and the link formed between weapon and human was something she did herself.) She, as she eloquently states, is Mighty Thor and Doctor Jane Foster. Mortal and god.
By becoming a Thor, she can go to Valhalla with the gods. (Again, unsure if Valhalla is only gods or if there is a roped off VIP gods section.) Jane is with Heimdall because they are equal. And I have seen people complain it wasn't Odin or Loki or some other character. It's Heimdall for a reason. Not just because his son was involved. But because he is the "whitest" god. Basically the best god there is.
That's the level Jane has achieved.
Pretty good for a gal Odin thought didn't belong in Asgard in Thor the Dark World, right?

Tumblr media
I awoke in a room with a chain around my neck, hands and feet. What on earth had I done to deserve this punishment I questioned as my eyes flitted around the small cell like room. I noticed my previous soggy clothes had been changed into a more presentable Greek styled toga enabling an open view to my plump chest with a slit cruising up high to my waist. This new outfit worried me immensely, especially due to my encounter with the ill minded guards before hand. Thankfully no headache had emerged from the blow to my head although I could tell it was still sensitive with the slightest movement of my hair causing a sting on my scalp. Before I was able to inspect my injuries further a large door opened revealing the men that I had encountered earlier. I flinched and scurried towards the furthest corner in the room. " Shush now princess" the same guard that restrained me early cooed, before him and another guard grabbed the chains that connected to my wrists. "You've got a little meeting with Odin" the other guard sneered as the two of them pulled me forward out of the room, dragging me behind them to which I assumed was the throne room.
I was utterly confused, I had not committed a high profile crime. I had enchanted several pigs in order to have a slight laugh around the city, surely this was not worthy of a visit to the king. I raised my head as we entered a beautifully decorated hall with guards standing stern either side of me and the white bearded man himself sitting in front of me on his throne. However A tall, raven haired man stood confidently before Odin, he too was shackled like me and followed me with his piercing blue eyes. I audibly gulped and bowed my head before the king." We may begin" Odin bellowed.
With a nod Odin instructed the prisoner beside me to walk. He walked forward and with a clang he pulled is legs together. All was silent in the throne room, until a menacing laugh echoed of the walls. The dark haired man looked around as he continued to laugh, his eyes lingering on me slightly. "I really don't see what all the fuss is about" The man stated with a certain assertive tone to his voice.
"Do you not truly feel the gravity to your crimes?" Odin questioned " Wherever you go there is war, ruin and death" he finished. I continued to look towards the floor as the chained man spoke again. "I went down to Midgard to rule the people of Earth as a benevolent God" The man smirked. "Just like you" he finished. "We are not gods, we're born, we live, we die, Just as humans do" Odin stated. "The man smirked again, nodding sarcastically "Give or take five thousand years" he finished with a smug smile. "All this because Loki desires a throne" Odin commented causing me to look up. That was Loki, I couldn't believe I'd been so stupid to not have put two and two together. " It is my birth right" Loki demanded. "Your birth right was to die !!" Odin roared causing me to jump. "As a child, cast out onto a frozen rock" Loki's jaw clenched." If I had not taken you in, you would not be here now to hate me" Loki stepped forward talking with a fake tone. "If I am for the axe, then for mercy's sake, just swing it. It's not that I don't love our little talks, it's just... I don't love them. " he said shaking his head slightly.
"Frigga is the only reason you are still alive and you will never see her again. You will spend the rest of your days in the dungeons. "Odin concluded, Loki was pulled back slightly buy the guards allowing space for my interrogation. The man look bewildered "And what of Thor? You'll make that witless oaf king while I rot in chains?" Odin had finished with Loki at this point. "Thor must strife to undo the damage you have done. He will bring order to the nine realms and then, yes. He will be king." I was then pulled before the King as I felt Loki's eyes bore holes through my head.
"Zeanna, Misuse of magic, risk to life and safety of others and threat to city" I turned to the guard in disbelief. I stepped forward hissing as the chains caught my soar skin. "This is a lie, I did nothing of the sort, I enchanted some animals to have a silly game." I declared causing a sharp tug to be applied to my chains pulling me to my knee's. Yet again I cried out in pain. "Silence" Odin called, tears slid down my face, who knew what these monsters would do to me, I looked around the hall pleading to anyone who would look at me and it was in that instant that I locked eyes with Loki, I saw sadness and confusion in his eyes. I didn't understand why but I almost saw sympathy. I looked back to Odin almost sobbing. "For misconduct and dangerous use of magic I sentence you to 1000 years." I allowed a sob to rack through body before allowing my chin to rest on my chest in disbelief. What on earth made the elder chant bring me here. There was no justice present at all, I had just been convicted an almost life sentence for something I did not do and the only person to question the guard was myself. I rose to my feet and nodded, still allowing the tears to stream down my face. I looked to Loki once more before I was dragged from the throne room towards the dungeons.

*Thor: Love and Thunder SPOILERS*
Sorry for the long delay. Honestly, I forgot to do this cause work and D&D. 😆 Here's the last part of my thoughts on this movie.
So, Mjolnir gives Jane the powers of Thor, making her stronger, but is making her cancer worse every time she transforms. Y'know, when Thor asked Mjolnir to watch over Jane, I don't this is what he meant. Still, this was something from the comics.
Speaking of the comics, Jane dies like she does there. Even gives Thor a last kiss before she dies. The difference is her body turns into gold particles like Frigga and Odin when they died. There's a post-credit scene where she arrives in Valhala and meets Heimdall. Question is, is she dead permanently or is she gonna come back as a Valkyrie like in the comics? Well, at the moment, she's dead....which is gonna piss off some fans. Cause they got Mighty Thor and she dies in the end.😅
Speaking of pissing off some fans, Valkyrie doesn't participate in the climax of the movie. Cause she gets stabbed by Gorr so she's gotta sit out from the final battle.
I've been trying to figure out why Gorr brought the children with him to Eternity's lair, but the only reason I could think of is to further use them as hostages just in case. If not, then there's really no point in bringing the kids along with him. I mean, he got what he wanted to get to Eternity, no need for the kids.
Oh wait! There is a reason for the kids to be there....TO FIGHT GORR'S SHADOW MONSTERS WITH THOR'S POWER! I'M NOT KIDDING!!! 🤣 Thor temporarily give the children the power of Thor, and they fight those monster....SINCE WHEN CAN HE DO THAT?!?!?! Like, don't get me wrong. Seeing a little girl use her stuffed bunny to shoot lightning out of its eyes is hilarious (dunno if in a bad or good way), and that was the one scene that got a laugh out of me (again, dunno if in a good or bad way). But, since when can Thor give his power to other people?! He never did that. EVER! The only explanation I could think of is that he used Zeus' lightning bolt to do that cause the lightning was yellow, not blue like Thor's lightning. That or you have to be a believer/worshipper or whatever to Thor. But, if it's not any of these, then what the hell?! He could've imbued his power to the Avengers and the Wakandan soldiers in Infinity War! He could've imbued his power to anyone during that huge battle in Endgame! It could've given them more of an edge against Thanos' army and put up more of a fight against Thanos! So, WHAT THE HELL WRITERS?!
So, I had to look this up cause I think I missed this in the movie. Apparently, the necrosword was slowly killing Gorr and when it got destroyed, he was going to die.
Gorr just stops his revenge plan when he's so close, cause Thor said that he wants love not revenge, and he chooses love. He goes to Jane, holding her when she's dying and seeing this Gorr is reminded of the time he's holding his dying daughter and that's enough to convince him to not kill all the gods but wish his daughter back. My boyfriend had a theory that Eternity reincarnated as Gorr's daughter, which would explain why she can shoot lazer beams out of her eyes, why her silhouette looked like space like Eternity's and why Eternity disappeared. But, I believe he's wrong, cause I think she has a bit of Eternity's power.
I think learning self defense should've been the first thing the Asgardians should've done for the children when they arrived on Earth. These guys got attacked a lot back in Asgard and Earth gets attacked a lot by aliens, evil robots, enhanced beings, evil secret organizations, etc...well, better late than never I guess. Also, that would mean that those kids didn't have any fighting skills when they fought those shadow monsters. But, at least we get to see Sif training Axl, and she's okay now....even though she one arm....yeah, that'll probably be the last we'll see Sif. 😕
Also, I had NO IDEA about this, but I looked it up. Gorr's daughter's name is Love. Now, I don't know if that's the name Gorr gave her or if Thor gave her that name, but I do know one thing....it's the reason why the movie is called Love & Thunder. Korg was doing the ending narration and said the two were known as "Love and Thunder". When we heard that, we groaned cause it was lame. But, yeah, Thor's a dad/uncle now and they go across the galaxy to help those who need it....wasn't that what he tried to do with the Guardians of the Galaxy? Have space adventures with them only now it's with his...adopted daughter/niece I wanna say?
Oh and he got Mjolnir back. Still got the cracks but it's back....and Love put makeup on it to look pretty....yay.
Hercules is coming to the MCU. I would be excited cause I like Hercules, but I'm worried over how the MCU will mess up this character as well. Either way, he and Zeus are gonna be future antagonists to Thor and Zeus sends Hercules to go kill Thor. He looks okay, but I think I need to rewatch that scene to get a better look.
So, yeah, I think that's all that I gotta say about this movie. I thought it wasn't good, and I think it's even worse than Ragnarok. Hell, I think this was the worst Thor movie out of the four we got so far. That's all my thoughts. See ya later.

Things from Thor 4: Love and Thunder that I absolutely adored - NOT spoiler-free:
Frigga running into battle with baby!Thor in a carrier and a wooden hammer rattle in the opening flashback
Sif lost an arm in battle against Gorr and did not wear a prosthetic for the rest of her screentime prosthetics can be super cool but it’s also cool to see rep for people who don’t wear/can’t use/can’t afford them
Stormbreaker slowly sliding in from behind when Thor was staring longingly at Mjolnir from across the town hall in New Asgard
The personalities of Mjolnir and Stormbreaker in general I have a weakness for sentient weapons what can I say
The way Jane can break apart and control the individual pieces of Mjolnir and still reform them into a solid, functional hammer
THE GOATS-
The deadnaming joke was the one thing I really didn’t like but Thor respected Axel’s chosen name after their first spirit vision session and throughout the rest of the movie
Jane got to die on her own terms that’s it that’s the opinion
None of the other deities in Omnipotent City did a damn thing when Thor ‘killed’ Zeus - they all just sat there like “damn it was about time I guess but DAMN-”
QUETZELCOATL-
We never found out what happened to those Emotion gods Valkyrie stole those disguises from
Listen, listen, listen...this may not have been a great movie, critically speaking, but I had a TON of fun watching and isn’t that really what matters?
LOVE IS PLAYED BY CHRIS HEMSWORTH’S OWN DAUGHTER-
Hemsworth’s son also plays young!Thor in the opening flashback
All of Gorr’s shadow monsters were designed by the children of the cast and I love them
So many children were involved in big ways in this movie and I just find that really, really sweet
