It's so strange that no one on here is talking about how the intro to marvels secret invasion was created entirely by ai. This is the first time a major studio has done this. Just think of how big the MCU is. Think of how many people watch these shows and will be inspired by the opening and create their 'own' shows and openers consisting of stolen artwork. AI is taking the place of actual human artists. It isn't a what if anymore. It's real.

One of the lamest aspects of the MCU for me, of which there are many, is that since these products are designed from top to bottom to be easily digested sludge for their prime audience of North American philistines the world of the Marvel universe is basically entirely culturally and politically identical (and entirely US/anglo-centric) to ours except with capeshit happening. There's no attempt or desire to explore the ramifications of all of the insane shit it depicts. Net zero worldbuilding. Like you really expect people to believe that a world where aliens and cosmic civilizations are an established fact, superheroes and magic are real, the most powerful and technologically advanced country on Earth is an uncolonized African nation, and literally half of all life in existence disappeared for a bit and then came back would look and act and feel just like ours? Like, totally the same? Cool. Here's Megan Thee Stallion and a Star Wars reference. Eat it you stupid shits. Kill your curiosity and wonder and capacity to imagine different worlds.

they constantly undermine and twist things to avoid depicting queer characters at all costs, while baiting us by promising they've done the bare minimum in a new project and never delivering or delivering worse than nothing

Y'all really had me believing that Marvel ruins the work of perfectly good directors, huh? Bullshit. Ryan Coogler has shown twice that when you're creative, smart, and respect your source material you will consistently make beautiful, fun, thoughtful, and funny movies.

As always, I applaud you Ryan Coogler for being one of the only decent creators in Marvel.

if they decided to make a sequel to aos, but put it in its own timeline for good, i dont think that would be the worst thing. it has always had its own identity, and while i love a lot about phase 4, there has been turbulence, and the aosverse would basically be the mcu up to infinity war and diverge after that. personally, i wouldnt complain about having a timeline where thanos just died and we continue to have happy endings for all the characters (instead of fridging a bunch of them for cheap shock).

tony retiring with his wife and kid. natasha and clint returning to shield. sharon getting her name cleared and also coming back and oh shit, shes a skrull, which leads into shield dealing with the skrull stuff in an actual good, dramatic, spy storyline (which would have worked in the main mcu too, but oh well thats marvel for you).
