Summary: in which (fem!)reader is in love with Mattheo, but so is everyone else. Reader pushes her feelings deep down, convinced Mattheo, beautiful Mattheo could never love her. In doing so, hurting herself, and a certain curly haired boy.

Gleaming, twinkling, eyes like sinking ships on waters. So inviting, I almost jump in.

Your eyes are trained on the dark haired boy, specifically those deep eyes. “I know I’m pretty, you don’t have to stare, love.” Mattheo grins, you quickly dart your eyes away, “I wasn’t staring.” you murmur. He scoots his chair back, the feet scraping against the old library floor, he stands up and walks towards you— not even bothering to push the bloody chair back in. He takes a seat right next to you and rests his chin on your shoulder, “You really should be studying, y’know? Can’t have m’girl failing her exams.” My girl. You roll your eyes. “I’m immune to your charms, Riddle.” You say, almost as if you were trying to convince yourself of that. “Are you, though? I mean, remember in first year when you—“ you quickly cut him off, a foreign red flush invading your cheeks. “I was eleven!” You whisper-yell, his grin widens at your embarrassment. “Okay.” He drags the word out, “Some things never change, badger.” You furrow your eyebrows “Excuse me?” “Y’know? Badger, you’re a Hufflepuff, unless you’re shagging Diggory and stole his tie.” He gestures to your yellow tie, you roll your eyes. “First of all, Cedric is taken and if you call me badger again, I will ruin your pretty face.” “You think I’m pretty?” Another eye roll. “If you keep rolling your eyes at me, they’re gonna get stuck back there.” Before you can reply, a girl you recognize as a Slytherin fifth year, only younger than you by a year, calls for the boy sitting in front of you. “Mattheo! I don’t have all day, c’mon.” He looks back at the blonde girl and sighs, “Merlin’s beard,” he murmurs, then calls out to her “I’m coming Eloise!” Causing you to let out a laugh. He gives you a look, making you laugh even harder. But once he walks away, you realize that he, Mattheo Riddle, is probably hooking up with that girl, that absolute model, making your smile fade. Making you feel like an idiot for even thinking that he’d like you. For thinking you should inflate his ego even further by confessing.

But I don’t like a gold rush, gold rush. I don’t like anticipating my face in a red flush. Everybody wants you. Everybody wonders what it would be like to love you.

You clutch your books close to your chest, dodging the hundreds of children rushing to get to class. Like every other day. A paper airplane comes straight toward you, it’s about to hit you clean in the forehead, you duck just in time— but a hand reaches out and catches it. You look over to thank the person, it’s Mattheo. Of course it’s Mattheo. That damned boy never leaves you alone. “You alright?” He asks, seeming genuinely concerned. Of course he does. He always does. “I’m fine, Riddle.” You spit out, fighting back your horrid feelings. He tries to speak but you just walk toward the potions classroom.

Walk past, quick brush. I don’t like slow motion double vision in a rose blush.

You sigh as you walk into the lavatory. Standing in front of the sink, you splash your face with some water. Trying to cool yourself down. “Y/n?” Fucking Mattheo. “I really don’t have time for your bullshit, what are you even doing in the girls la—“ you cut yourself off as you see Mattheo, a girl against the wall, not Eloise, a different girl. An older girl, a seventh year. Looking annoyed as ever. You let out a breath of surprise. Shaking your head you turn back around and walk out of the bathroom. Feeling like an idiot. Like always when it comes to that boy.

I don’t like that falling feels like flying till the bone crush. Everybody wants you. But I don’t like a gold rush.

“Wait! Y/n—“ he rushes out of the bathroom to follow you, he grabs your wrist and you turn around quickly. “Let go.” You spit out, he tenses his jaw. “Why are you even acting like this? You don’t need to get so pissed just because you’re jea—“ Slap. Your eyes widen, as well as his, “Did you just slap me?” “No.” you reply quickly. “You just slapped me.” he persists, “No I didn’t.” “Yea, you did.” “Yes I did.” you finally admit. “Why?” He asks, “You said I’m jealous, I’m not jealous. You just have a big head.” “I have other big things.” You slap him again. But this time on his forearm. And, oh Merlin. Why is his arm so muscular? Why are his eyes so deep and brown and beautiful? Why do his oh so pretty brown curls look so pull-able? Why do his lips look so perfect and kissable? Was he always this beautiful? Of course he was. He was always beautiful. You’ve known that since the first time you saw him.

What must it be like, to grow up that beautiful? With your hair falling into place like dominos.

You walk into the Slytherin common room with Dorothea, one of your closest friends, she’d convinced you to come to this party. And you’d stupidly agreed. You stupidly got drunk. You stupidly found Mattheo. You stupidly kissed him. You stupidly hooked up with him.

You look around the room, Mattheo has his arm under your neck. “Okay,” you whisper to yourself “yeah, okay. I can get out of here.” You roll over a bit, pulling the covers off of yourself carefully. You easily get out of his warm, soft bed. An odd coldness filling your body as you do so. You slip on your shoes and realize that you don’t have your shirt on, you look around his room, which is surprisingly clean— minus the clothes everywhere, on the doorknob, there’s your shirt. How did it even get there? You shake your head and walk over to it, putting it on over you. You hear Mattheo groan and you quickly look over, he’s still asleep, but reaching out in the bed, as if looking for you. It takes you a moment before you realize that you need to leave before him and his charm pull you back in.

I see me padding ‘cross, your wooden floors. With my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door.

It’s been 3 weeks. 3 weeks since you went to that party. 3 weeks since you found Mattheo. 3 weeks since you kissed him. 3 weeks since you hooked up with him. 2 weeks and 6 days since you woke up in his room and mission impossible escaped. You haven’t spoke to him, or anyone in Slytherin at all. In fear that he told everyone he knows and you’d never live it down. He didn’t. But you don’t know that. You’re choosing out a dress for dinner, you’re in the slug club, but so is Theodore Nott and those two are friends, best friends even. So of course Mattheo was the boys plus one. No matter that. Dorothea suggests a simple dress that shows off your body, but you shake your head, “No, Dor, that— that doesn’t compliment me right.” So you choose a dress that goes down to your knees, it’s long-sleeved, completely covers your cleavage, which was the goal of course. You paired it with some old converse, not liking the feeling of heels on your feet all night. You have your hair done nicely in your favorite style.

“No Mattheo, I really don’t agree with that, you’re so— so contrarian.” You shake your head, “Oh give me a break!” He groans, but you just give him a look, calling him an asshole with your eyes. He’s just told you an opinion on the muggle-world, he’s a pure blood, seriously, who does he think he is? Giggles can be heard from others sitting around you, including Dorothea and Theodore who are sitting next to each other. Slughorn tries to get you two to stop, “O—okay, Mr. Riddle, Ms. Y/l/n, please refrain from arguments at the table.” “This isn’t an argument, it’s a debate.” You correct.

As you’re walking back to your common room, you overhear some girls talking “Oh, wouldn’t they be such a cute couple?” One of them giggles, the other nods in agreement “They argue so much, plus, doesn’t Y/n Riddle sound so nice?” “Oh I dunno, I’m kind of jealous of her.” A third one adds. Your eyes widen as you realize they’re taking about you and Mattheo. You quickly butt in their conversation, “We would not be a cute couple! He’s insufferable and his ego is larger than himself!” You huff.

At dinner parties, I call you out on your contrarian shit. And the coastal town, we wandered ‘round, had never seen a love as pure as it.

“You know that you can’t avoid him all day, right?” Cedric tells you as he notices you staring in Mattheo’s direction in the Great Hall. “I can and I will.” The boy rolls his eyes, “C’mon, when me and Cho get into—“ “Don’t compare you and your girlfriend to me and Mattheo— that’s just.. no!” you mock gag, shaking your head. Cedric just grins at you knowingly, “Why are you smiling at me like that?” you ask, Cedric licks his lips “No reason.” “Shouldn’t you be making out with Cho in a broom closet or something?” you tease, he laughs “Yeah, probably. Shouldn’t you be getting in Mattheo’s pants again?” “Leave it Ced, it will never be.” You murmur as you look down at your tea, mixing it around lazily with your spoon.

And then it fades into the gray of my day old tea. ‘Cause you know it could never be.

“Why are you avoiding me?” You stop dead in your tracks, goddamnit. Why is he everywhere? You slowly turn around on your heels, face reddening, “I’m not avoiding you.” you reply simply with a shrug. “Yes you are, I’m sick of it.” He rolls his eyes. “What’s it matter to you? We aren’t friends.” “What are you talking about? Yes we are.” “No, we’re really not Mattheo, you only talk to me when you know I’m going to leave.” You spit out, annoyed with everything, “No I don’t! I talk to you all the—“ you cut him off “Just leave it, I’m done here anyway.” You say before turning back around and walking away, “Well— don’t come crying back to me when you realize no one else cares!” He yells, letting his emotions and large ego get the best of him. “Fuck you!” “You’ve already checked that one off!”

He ignores his friends and clenches his jaw as he walks out of the huge room, brushing right past you and leaving a small gust of wind from where he walked. Your lips slightly part as you watch him, but you look away just as quickly. Refusing to let him get his way. You shake your head as you now look over at his friends — who you now realize are staring over at you. Furrowing your eyebrows you mouth an annoyed “What?” to them, hoping to get any explanation. Theodore just shakes his head at you, and Lorenzo Berkshire mouths back a “Nothing.” making you even more annoyed with these boys. You decide to take matters into your own hands and stand up, making your way to the Slytherin table where they’re sitting. “Hello, boys.” you raise your eyebrows expectantly. “Uh — hey..” Blaise Zabini murmurs, “So, are you going to tell me what’s going on with that dickhead who just walked out of the Great Hall making a scene?” Draco Malfoy laughs at that “Dickhead? Did you just call your little boyfriend a dickhead?” “He’s not my boyfriend Malfoy!” you exclaim which causes Draco to laugh and Theo to nudge his arm, Enzo speaks up “Um, Y/n he’s just upset you’re ignoring him.” now the rest of the boys groan, collectively murmuring little “C’mon man!”’s and “Enzo!”’s he throws his hands up in apology. Eyebrows going up you look at them, “Seriously?” you scoff “he’s mad at me because I’m not talking to him? After what he did?”

Lowering your voice, you rest your hands on the table, pushing Blaise’s plate away to do so. He stops in the middle of his chewing to give you a glare, then continues slowly chewing. “You’ve liked him since fist year, admit it.” Blaise speaks with his mouth full, so it’s a bit muffled. “Shut it and eat your potatoes Zabini.” you spit out. He shrugs and does just that. With Zabini out of the conversation Draco speaks again, “But really, stop leading our boy on.” “I haven’t led him — or anyone for that matter — on!” now it’s Theo’s turn to speak “Well.. you did kinda sleep with him and then leave the next morning,” “That was a mistake.” “Still shitty.” Enzo says. You huff, “That’s — no! Even if it was shitty, it’s not like I’m in love with him. He shouldn’t’ve expected anything from me.” Draco raises an eyebrow “Wow, didn’t know Hufflepuffs were such—“ “Dude, don’t finish that sentence.” Enzo says with an eye roll before looking toward you, “If you don’t like him, then don’t lead him on, it’s not difficult.” Looking him up at down for a moment, you sigh and your eyes move around the group at a quick pace. “Tell him I don’t like him, and — that I’m sorry or whatever.” Damn. That hurt you to say. Who knew it’d be this hard to get over him.

As you lay in your bed, miserable and alone, you think about Mattheo. Because of course you do. He’s plagued your mind since first year. Rolling your eyes, you silently curse yourself for not realizing how horrible it was to fall for him. He’s got the perfect life, minus the fact his father is literally the dark lord, still, he’s rich. He has hundreds of girls in love with him and multiple in his bed. You aren’t going to be any of those girls, not now at least.

My mind turns your life into folklore. I can’t dare to dream about you anymore.

You hear your name called out by a familiar voice, Pansy Parkinson, her loud — but not angry — footsteps reverberate along the stone walls of the castle. You stop walking just as she catches up to you, out of breath. She reaches for your shoulder to steady herself and you grab her arm to help her. “What’s wrong Pans?” You ask once she catches her breath. “Riddle told me about what you said.” You wince at the mention, “Oh.” She must notice the look on your face since she adds a quick, “Don’t worry, I’m not mad, that boy needs to learn that not every girl is in love with him.” As an afterthought. “Never mind that, you are,” you furrow your eyebrows “—in love with him. You’re in love with him.” She finishes, which causes you to stammer out a quick and defensive, “Am not!” In response. “You literally gave him a bouquet of flowers, which you handpicked, in first year.” “In first year! Yeah, but that’s not now!” She rolls her eyes, “Come on Y/n/n, you’re just going to end up hurting yourself if you keep saying that.” She then removes her hand from your shoulder and you do the same, “Okay, I’ve got detention now, see ya later.” Then she runs off. She literally runs off after telling you that you’re in love with Mattheo Riddle. As if you didn’t know that. As if you didn’t sleep with him.

The last slug club meeting of the year before you leave for Christmas. You aren’t supposed to bring plus-ones, but Slughorn likes Theo too much and let him bring Mattheo. You sit slumped in your chair, dressed nicely though. Dorothea is sick so she couldn’t come. And Mattheo has the audacity to sit right fucking next to you. Purposely making those contrarian remarks, to get you to speak, so he can hear your voice again. Annoyed or not, he wants to hear it. But you don’t. You just stand up and move to sit beside Theo. Mattheo swallows and stops talking, looking down at his food.

You sit by a garden in Hogsmeade, looking at the flowers silently. Of course, thinking about those girls from a few weeks ago at the Slug club meeting, how they were talking about you and Mattheo. Did everyone think that way? That’s impossible, he’s him, you’re just you. You barely know jack shit about each other. Sighing, you lay back in the grass and fiddle with the strings on your cardigan. It will never be.

He stands at your doorframe, knocking on the door rapidly. Hearing you groan on the other side and sheets ruffling. He quickly tries to fix up his messy curls and look at least a hit presentable, you open the door as he’s smoothing out his shirt, he’s in a t-shirt and sweatpants, and you’re — well —in your pink unicorn pajama set, that causes him to grin widely. But then he hears your voice murmur a sleepy “Mattheo?” and becomes serious again. “Um—hey.” He smiles gently, out of character for him. “I know it’s late and all, I just had to um.. talk to you.” You rub your eyes and yawn, “Well?” You ask, eyebrows raised expectantly. “I know we aren’t close or anything, but I really fucking like you. I mean—really like you. It’s so weird for me to feel this strongly over.. well, y’know a girl who I barely know. But you’re just different, you make me feel things—things that no one else does.” He watches you watch him nervously, this is really different than the Mattheo you know. “Anyway.. what I’m trying to say is, I think we’d be really good together. I want us to try it out, if you’d have me?” “Mattheo I—“

soft!Sebastian headcannons - part 2

Author's Note: so flattered at the response part 1 has gotten, so here's part 2! i may be projecting a bit with the adhd headcannon, but i swear that boy at least partially has it

he’s incredibly protective of you. after losing his parents, nearly losing Anne, and knowing that you defeated Ranrok alone in fifth year, he vowed to never let any harm come to you. he knows you’re more than capable of holding your own in a fight, and his overprotective streak causes a fair amount of arguing between you both, but it stems from his love for you and desire to see you safe

much of his Crossed Wands fan base consists of younger students (including Lucan) that he’s defended from bullies over the years

absolute caffeine gremlin. drinks coffee when the house elves apparate it onto the breakfast tables, but if he can’t get his hands on a cup, he’ll settle for tea. (this is one of the reasons Earl Grey is one of the first scents you recognize while making amortentia in Potions)

usually doesn’t approve of Garreth’s ‘experiments in class’ (enjoys mischief as much as the young Weasley, but doesn’t want to jeopardize his grade), but once slipped him a few sickles to commission him for an energizing brew

knows how to braid hair, and is pretty damn good at it. Anne taught him how when they were little and he’s been doing it ever since. if MC has long hair, he’s braiding it into a neat french braid before their Crossed Wands match so that it doesn’t get in their face while fighting. some of the boys in his year with fragile masculinity scoff, but when they see half of the students in their year fawning over him. they try to learn how to braid as well

(i’m literally picturing soft Sebastian lovingly braiding MC’s hair with gentle hands before taking his place next to them and absolutely decimating their competition. the complete 180 from tender to lethal has most of the crowd swooning)

is absolutely the little spoon, but will take over as big spoon if you ask him to. whenever he’s stressed or overwhelmed from school (or the danger you often find yourselves in) he just wants to be held

has a major sweet tooth. he always has some sort of sweet with him. whether it’s a chocolate frog, a box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans he’s split with Ominis, or a pastry tucked away from dinner

absolutely ADORES museums. his parents used to take him and Anne to wizarding history museums as well as the natural history museum in London. seeing artifacts up close while satiating his thirst for knowledge is his personal paradise

(possibly becomes a museum researcher after graduating. something a bit daring and dangerous that lets him put his dueling skills to use in the pursuit of contributing knowledge to his field)

has some degree of adhd that influences his impulsive decisions, risk-taking behavior, and constant switching from topic to topic. has many detentions from talking while the professor is speaking or engaging in unsanctioned spell work, but it’s not his fault classes aren’t stimulating enough

loves dueling and defense against the dark arts because he gets to engage in hands-on activities after long days of having to sit quietly and still for hours of lectures

herbology isn’t his strong suit, but one day you tell him your favorite flower and he’s determined to grow them for you. a few days later in the undercroft you notice a little self-watering potting table with a few buds poking out from the soil. there are at least five herbology books flipped open to various pages on the exact flower you mentioned with little notes scrawled in the margins

he hands you a bouquet of the flowers once they’ve grown and you swear he looks positively elated

First thing you need to know is, this little fella won't just fall in love with you, you have to go through the 5 stages of grief and level with this little pookie

First is Defense, this man will NEVER find you pretty/handsome at first glance, he will always be aggro, so you have to defense yourself first before stage 2

Second is Trust or Words of Affirmation,(or Acts of Service), this little dude will need your trust first before he will finally atleast stay 5 feet away from you (it's alot be grateful that your even in his presence without him killing you or grabbing onto your kidneys 💀)

Third is Anti-Aggro, you'll need his trust coming from Stage 2 so he finally won't just lunge at you and grab your kidneys, pretty much like the name says you'll have to make him Anti-Aggro to you if you want him to be your little pookie bear

Forth is quite confusing, but First is pretty much as in First. You'll be his first love/friend/best friend etc. (First can be platonic or romantic because he has probably never experienced his First love or friend or something yet)

Fifth is Cherish, if you finally got the heart of this little demon man you are in LUCK because, wow???, dang you got the heart of the cannibal monster! Now make sure you don't upset him.

Although these are just measly 5 stages, don't underestimate them! The longest process is gaining his trust! And that blue man won't easily trust you ofcource! It would probably take months or even years to fully gain his trust. But if it takes you a couple of weeks then wow! You are such a person you know?

But seriously. If he cherishes you. Don't be an ass and use it to your advantage! He probably hasn't talked to a human in ever!

But the introduction is over, hey!, you got the heart of a CANNIBAL???, dang. Switched roles right???

When you guys are in a relationship, you'll have to be the one to have confessed sorry! Canon is Canon. Anyways, there's rarely any fights between you guys!

It's more of the fact he doesn't really speak. But if you do get on a fight with him then that's mostly because his been comfortable putting his organ jars on your fridge... Don't expect him to stop tho.

Expresses his love by giving you his kidney. (No not his.) With a bit of dressing of your favourite!

If you tell him you can't eat it he will be quite upset. Might as well eat it yk?? /j

He will fall more Inlove with you if you organize his jars or buy him his own fridge where he could put his kidneys at

Though if you DO mess with his jars that is not meant to be organized he will be upset but hides it, as for the fridge part. He won't be over to the moon happy, he will just be grateful ykyk??? But that won't stop him from putting jars in your fridge because his more comfortable to it and is LITTERALY attached to it because of you

Will on accident always scare you since he wears all black attire and is VERY sneaky

Hey, as much as he is a demon (or creature idk) he loves you even if it shows in a... Demonic way? Your choice. But he truly does cherish you and will protect you :3 just don't upset him ykyk...

Rosekiller headcannons

Marauders HC Part 2! Fluff! Includes: Rosekiller, Jegulus, Dorlene

Barty fell for Evan first, but Evan confessed.

Barty has trouble talking about his own feelings, but Evan helps him talk things through.

They are always seen together. You could say that Barty drags Evan around everywhere, but Evan follows willingly.

They don't argue often, but when they do it gets pretty bad, and they're both miserable.

They spend the majority of their time going around and causing chaos.

Barty takes the marauder's pranks on the Slytherins personally, and makes it his mission to "get them back".

For instance, the time Barty and Evan pranked the marauders by turning everything in their dorm green.

This really pissed off Sirius, only fueling the fire even more.

Regulus had to force them to apologize because of how upset Sirius was.

Barty and Evan are Regulus' #1 supporters. They helped him find both his gender identity and his sexuality.

Evan loves Barty more than anything in the world, but sometimes he just needs a break.

When Evan is hanging out with Dorcas, Barty usually finds himself with Regulus.

Barty is extremely protective of Regulus. He may have spied on James a little to see if his interest in Regulus is genuine.

After he knows James has good intentions, he's the biggest "Jegulus" shipper.

Barty and Evan started sleeping in the same bed during fifth year. It just felt right. It brought them even closer, up to the point where they're almost inserperable.

They truly love each other more than anything and aren't scared to show it. They are both fine with PDA.

Theo Nott Headcannons/Information

Information:

•Theo was mentioned in the Harry Potter books (The Philosopher’s Stone, Order of the Phoenix).

•He is only referred to as ‘Nott’ during the sorting ceremony in book 1.

•He isn’t mentioned until book 5 as one of the only three students in the Care of Magical Creatures class who are able to see Thestrals, meaning that he had witnessed somebody die. He supposedly found it unpleasant as he watched one eat and he wasn’t fond of the creatures.

•His appearances in the books are described as ‘weedy’ and ‘stringy’ meaning that he is likely canonically tall and thinly built.

•It is unclear when he is born, but it is said that his father was an older or elderly man who had been previously involved with the Deatheater Army during the First Wizarding War.

•Theodore was mentioned by Hermione in 1996 as one of the group of Slytherin boys whose fathers had been outed as Deatheaters by the magazine ‘The Quibbler’. His reaction seemed to differ from his friends as his reaction was the only one which was not specifically threatening or negative, suggesting indifference.

•At the end of his Fifth Year, Theodore Nott Sr. was captured in the Department of Mysteries as a member of Deatheater forces who participated in a raid of the Department and was exposed as an escaped Deatheater.

•With his father in Azkaban and his mother seemingly dead, it is unspecified who cared for Theodore during the summer holidays.

•In sixth year, Theodore was not asked to attend the Slug Club due to his fathers involvement with the Dark Lord, this is because of Professor Slughorns inquiry about Theo’s family from Blaine Zabini, who was later invited to the Club.

•Theodore was one of the few students who progressed to N.E.W.T level Potions. They seemed to poke fun of Hermiones Blood-Status and were skeptical of the effects of Amorentia.

•He attended his Seventh year at Hogwarts and was treated well due to his Blood Status.

•At the Battle of Hogwarts, it is unclear whether he joined Voldemorts side or Evacuated, but since he is not shown or mentioned defecting to the Deatheaters before the Battle, we can assume that he didn’t end up fighting with the Deatheaters.

•It is also mentioned that he was later taken into custody for owning illegal Timeturners. We can infer from this that he could possibly have made them with dark magic, or he bought them for a hefty price. (Said in TCC, so possibly not Canon).

•Theo is mentioned to be very intelligent, but more of a Loner, since he didn’t participate in many groups like the one led by Draco Malfoy.

Headcannons:

•Theodore watched his mother die when he was young, leaving him in the sole care of his father, who was a cold and bitter man.

•Theo didn’t have many friends when he was younger except for Draco Malfoy, but he opened up slightly more at Hogwarts, though he still liked his alone time.

•He had a set path for him created by his father. He was supposed to work in the ministry and provide for a family, but Theo wanted to be a Potioneer like his uncle and much of his other family on his mother’s side.

•Theo’s mother left all of her belongings to him, and made sure that his father wouldn’t be able to take possession of any of it. In his inheritance, he gained a large portion of money and an estate in rural Italy.

•His mother was from Florence, Italy and was married to his father through an arranged marriage, where she suffered abuse from Theodore Nott Sr. She died slowly due to a failed suicide attempt.

•Theodore had trouble connecting with people because of his parent’s relationship and the things that he’d witnessed in his childhood. He feared becoming his father more than anything, so he did all that he could to prevent it from happening.

•He’d never had a real relationship and never would despite how many girls he’d slept with. He didn’t want a commitment.

•Despite how quiet he was, Theo was a very funny person and to his friends, he was often the life of the party

•Theo was prone to addiction and often used unhealthy coping mechanisms like smoking, drinking and drug use, though he only took drugs at parties.

•Much like Draco, Theo took the Dark Mark as a punishment for his father’s mistakes, not out of willingness. He received it a week after his fifteenth birthday and struggled to adjust.

•He was 6’2” feet tall

•He tanned very nicely in the summer, leaving him with smooth, olive skin just like his mother’s.

•During the Battle of Hogwarts, Theo ran away with Blaise Zabini, purely because he wanted to avoid fighting people that he’d previously called friends.

•As his life went on, Theo learned from his mistakes and prejudices and slowly but surely became a better person. He was clean by the time he was 20.

•As a request from the Dark Lord, Theo created a Timeturner for him. But since he’d learned how to do it, he created more and gifted one to the Malfoy Family and kept one for himself. He didn’t use it to change the past, but he’d travel back to his old house to watch his past, specifically, to watch his mother, trying to piece together parts of her life and his. It was the only way of truly knowing and remembering her because he was so young when she died.

•Theo died before he turned 30, ending the Nott family line. He’d died alone after taking his own life to avoid being sent to Azkaban for his possession of illegal Timeturners.

•He lived a life of longing for love without receiving it. Secretly, he wished for a loving relationship and a family, but he didn’t want to repeat the cycle of abuse that he was trapped in. He felt that his family line didn’t deserve to be continued, he felt that he was atoning for their sins by ending it.

Stardew valley rant:

I’ve recently been really getting into the life of spouses after you marry them, because for the majority of them, they kinda just stick at home, occasionally visiting family or friends. And those who do still do stuff, it never changes. Maru always works with Harvey at the clinic, Emily always works for Gus at the saloon, nothing really changes in their lives besides a new, much more sedentary lifestyle. I really would like for the spouses to get new hobbies and stuff when they marry you, so here’s my little ideas/headcannons, bachelorettes first!

Abigail: She begins to work on her adventuring skills in the mines and you’ll find her on every fifth floor, going further and further. She’ll give you gems from her travels, and eventually, when she reaches the bottom of the mines, she’ll start going to the skull caverns where she’ll give you iridium and the occasional prismatic shard. Something cool that could happen would be the addiction of an elevator to the skull caverns as she travels further down, every 25 floors. She would also become a member of the adventurer’s guild and serve as Marlon’s apprentice, taking over the guild on some days or opening a branch in the Calico desert that she mans sometimes.

Maru: Maru never really branches out beyond her personal inventions, so I think there could be a quest where she asks you for a new wing of the house that she could use as a workshop. This wing would be constructed by Robin, would be unlocked at 20 hearts, and would cost 750,000 gold, 250 hardwood, 10 iridium bars and 10 battery packs. Then, you could accept quests from Maru every once in a while and unlock new inventions that she made that would increase qol. Maybe she could give you a crafting recipe for auto-petters, she could make a device that automatically plants grass in meadows for your animals, a machine that can increase the quality of items by using a resource or something, the possibilities are endless!

Penny; Penny is always caring for the children of the valley, and I think it would be great if when you marry her, like Maru, you eventually get a quest that allows you to build a school for the kids, possibly utilizing the space to the left of the community center. Maybe then we could have another mini-festival where you can see the children of stardew valley show off their work, maybe unlock a “Talent Show” cutscene where Jas, Vincent, and Leo show off their skills fr. This idea is more underwhelming than my first two and could definitely be improved.

Emily: I think as you progress your post marital relationship with Emily you could help her convince Sandy to move to the valley and have someone else take over the Oasis, learning Sandy’s real name, unlocking special cutscenes with her, etc. I also feel like Emily would have a little workshop where she makes clothes and you could unlock a system where she takes your gems and a clothing item and combines them, giving your clothes a buff, like combining Topaz with a shirt gave the shirt a +1 defense buff, etc. Emily could even start a clothing line and you could gift these clothes to townspeople and get new sprites and portraits for them :D

Haley: After marriage, Haley does literally nothing but see Emily once a week. This needdsss to change, so I think she could discover her passion for photography again and start a blog about the valley, which would unlock a building to the right side of the Bus Stop: the Tourist Center. You could open a tourist center with Haley and occasionally get tourists that come to the valley, similar to the tourists at the Stardew Valley Fair. These tourists could roam around the town for a bit, and you could unlock new dialogue with the townspeople about the tourists, like “These tourists are really boosting the community economy!”

(Cc specific) Leah: Leah would start hosting art classes in the community center every Wednesday! Every month, the group of people who decided to attend could make a new painting that could be hung up in the community center, orrrr you could unlock a new building between the Blacksmith and the Movie Theater/JojaMart, where you could see the different art pieces and could have a new festival, the stardew valley fine arts conference, where the Famous Painter Lupini could host a talk with the artsy people from the valley and Zuzu City, and you could get new clothing items, a cutscene, dialogue, new paintings and sculptures, etc.

spare headcannons about the Lin kuei quartet (bi-han, kuai liang, tomas, cyrax) please?

Cyrax is the only one of them to have joined as an adult and not been abducted as a child, which incidentally makes him the only semi-normal one out of the bunch

Tomáš viewed the Lin Kuei as his saviors for a long time as they pulled him from the rubble of a destroyed building and brought him back to temple, treating his wounds and making him one of them. It wasn't until the cyber initiative that he really started to realize that something was wrong

Bi-Han's sole, driving motivation in the Lin Kuei was to protect Kuai Liang, literally nothing else mattered to him. Bi-Han trained harder and longer than anyone else and also acted out more to keep the Grandmaster's attention on him, giving Kuai Liang some freedom from the scrutiny.

Kuai Liang once put a venomous snake down the back of Sektor's shirt in retaliation for Sektor's bullying. After that, people started giving him a wide berth

Bi-Han isn't actually a very powerful cryomancer in terms of raw ability, but he does have a truly impressive amount of control, able to use his powers in incredibly complex ways with little to no effort, though he still prefers to fight without it

The reason Bi-Han doesn't like using his cryomancy to fight is bc they both learned the basics of it from their father who was a pacifist and he's trying to honor Jiahao's memory as best as he can

Kuai Liang, on the other hand, is incredibly, dangerously powerful, and has to put a great amount of effort towards holding back. Bi-Han was the one who pushed him to hide how strong his powers were bc if anybody ever knew, the Lin Kuei would send Kuai Liang on worse and worse missions

Tomáš has nightmares that he can't remember almost every night, and will often sneak into Kuai Liang and Bi-Han's room for comfort afterwards.

Cyrax will cover for the other three every time he gets the chance, helping them get out of punishments and trouble bc he doesn't agree with a lot of the rules the Lin Kuei has and wants to try and change that from the inside

Cyrax also sneaks treats from the outside into the temple after his missions, sharing them with the other three to give them some semblance of a normal life.

Everyone assumes that Bi-Han is the next grandmaster given how much the current Grandmaster, Oniro, favors him. This pisses Sektor off and causes him to sabotage the brothers every chanc he gets, but the status of assumed heir gets Bi-Han a lot of leniency that he uses to protect Kuai Liang, Tomáš, and Cyrax whenever possible

There was a fifth member of their group, Hydro, who had been part of the Lin Kuei since he was a baby and helped Kuai Liang, Bi-Han, and Tomáš adjust to their new life when they arrived. He was their big brother figure and tried his best to protect them

Hydro died a few days before the tournament, which is part of why Bi-Han was so pissed off during the whole thing.

On the wiki it says that Cyrax was from Botswana, and I hc that he would make the food he'd grown up with for the others whenever he could get away with it. To this day, Seswaa is one of Kuai Liang's comfort foods.

Cyrax also once managed to sneak in some Khadi (a liquor made of sugar and mushrooms) and that became the only alcohol Bi-Han liked.

Cyrax was a chemistry prodigy, and made a series of different "bombs" with different effects, one even able to imitate cryomancy by creating a bunch of ice around the area of detonation. He was really excited to experiment with Outworld ingredients when making his bombs after joining the Lin Kuei

Cyrax is the mantle he chose after joining the Lin Kuei, for reasons he has never explained, but his real name is Kagiso, meaning peace, which he always found somewhat ironic given his line of work. Kuai Liang is the only person who knows that.

Tomáš will sometimes just turn into smoke to relax, he finds the lack of a physical form soothing in a way he can't fully describe

Fortnight - Regulus Black & James Potter

From Regulus' POV

I headcannon that for a short period James and Regulus were together in secret where only Sirius, Pandora and Alice knew about their relationship. They broke up during James sixth year and Regulus' fifth after Regulus started ignoring James because he was mad at James for "helping" Sirius run away. (he has a bit of a victim complex)

To me this song is Regulus looking back on his relationship with James. "I was a functioning alcoholic, til nobody noticed my new aesthetic" feels like something Regulus would definitely do. He puts on this big show just to see if anyone would notice but nobody ever does. It's the youngest sibling in him.

"All this to say I hope you're okay, but you're the reason, and no one here's to blame, but what about your quiet treason," is Regulus referring to Sirius running away. Regulus saw it as James choosing Sirius over him and although James didn't want to choose, if he had to, he would choose Sirius.

The chorus i think speaks for itself. "And for a fortnight there, we were forever, run into you sometimes, as about the weather, now you're in my backyard, turned into good neighbours, your wife waters flowers, i want to kill her" being Regulus' thoughts on the relationship. They thought they could've been forver but was quickly reminded of who they were and where they were. Now they hardly speak but because of circumstances (the war, the small small wizarding world) still have tabs on each other. And ofc Lily being James' wife and Regulus hating her. Possibly not only because she married James and because James loves her more then he ever loved him, but also because she's muggleborn.

In the second chorus it changes slightly to "My husband is cheating, I want to kill him" Regulus' "husband" is Voldemort and he's cheating in the war with the horcruxes. And ofc Regulus wants to kill him for bringing Kreacher into it.

Despite the fact that James moved on I don't think Regulus ever did. I think he tried, but what he had with James was the closest thing he had to having it all.

The Tortured Poets Department - Emmeline Vance & Remus Lupin after 1987

From Emmelines POV.

I am the only person who thinks this because I am the only person with this headcannon but I stand by this with my entire soul.

To give you the short version, in my headcannons Emmeline and Remus spend the majority of the 80s together because Emmeline is a talented healer and is asked by Dumbledore to take care of Remus after the full moons

They have a really solid friendship for the first half of the eighties until something happened in 1987 (which i won't bore you with) and it makes their entire relationship crumble

I am obviously looking at this song from a platonic prospective here. Lyrics such as "You smokes then age seven bars of chocolate, We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist" reflects the late night conversations they had and the meaningless of it all. They weren't friends because they got along, they were friends because they were the only ones left from the younger ones of the Order. But the "who's going to hold you like me?" is also true. They were all each other had and it was enough and without it they were empty.

They were putting up with every demon in each others heads because it had to be worth it because if it wasn't then where would they be?

My Boy Only Breaks His Favourite Toys - Pandora Lovegood and Regulus Black

From Pandoras POV.

I feel like not many people speak about how damaging their friendship could've been for Pandora. Keeping in mind that Regulus had always been a purist and believed in Voldemort enough to keep photos and arrivals about him and his followers hung in his bedroom.

I think Pandora loved Regulus but Regulus was a hard person to love. There was only one way for Regulus to go and he was dragging Pandora down with him.

I think lines like "here we go again, voices in his head, called the rain the end our days of wild" could reflect how Pandora felt once Regulus got the mark or was close to getting the mark. I don't think Regulus would've ever told Pandora straight up that he was a death eater but I definitely think she knew anyway.

Regulus had a phase where he kept trying to get Pandora to leave. He didn't want to drag her down with him but it was either that or she goes. Without telling her why exactly he no longer wanted her around he was pulling her back and forth. She didn't want to leave. She wanted to go back to the time when they were best friends without consequences which i think shows with the outro. I think this is very obvious but I will go into detail anyway

I don't think this is just about Remus' thoughts towards Sirius but also to James, Lily and Peter.

Remus (as much as he didn't want to) felt resentment towards his friends for what happened. He was gone with the werewolves and risking everything for them just for them to die anyway! It wasn't right for him to be mad at them but he was anyway. "Tell me I was the chosen one, showed me that this world is bigger than us, then send me back where i came from" is how i think he was feeling in terms of them. Remus spent the majority of his childhood thinking that he would never have any friends other then his parents. He meets the Marauders and is silly enough to think that everything would be okay just for him to end up friendless again at the age of 21

And then we have Sirius which... of corse this is about him.

"I loved your hostile take-overs, encounters closer and closer, all your indecent exposers, how dare you say that it's? I'll build you a fort on some planet, where they can all understand it, how dare you think it's romantic, leaving me safe and stranded? Cause fuck it i was in love, so fuck you if i can't have us"

I don't think Mary is speaking/thinking about one particular person here but the entire wizarding world as a whole. Those she loved and didn't.

Being a Muggleborns would be hard enough to to be one of the only ones in your house must��ve been worse. Lily had Severus to help her navigate the wizarding world while Mary had no one and while also being friends with Sirius, James, Peter and Remus who all were from wizarding families it was easy for her to feel left out in the world.

With such events such as Mulciber’s attack on her and seeing the constant attacks on muggle families she felt unwelcomed. “I saw in my mind fairy lights through the mist, I kept calm and carried the weight of the riff” is Mary putting up with all of the bigotry from her classmates because she saw the magic that the world had to offer. She loves her friends and loves being a witch. She loves Hogwarts and Quidditch and she wants the world to accept her but no matter what she does they won't

I think it also sucked for her to see her muggleborn friends thrive. Lily became head girl and married James and had Harry. Dirk also found love and became quidditch captain. Dahlia found a way to incorporate magic into her muggle job (preforming) and also found love. Meanwhile Mary couldn't seem to get a break. The lyrics "you swore that you loved me, but where were the clues? i died on the altar waitin for the proof" isn't her speaking to someone but more so like a wizard god (not dumbledore) She's saying "where's my reason for staying? where's the love of my life? where's the passion that's going to make this worth it?"

The Bridge is her as she leaves. In my hcs she leaves right before everyone joins the Order. She was considering it but decided against it and left while leaving five letters behind. One to James & Lily, Dirk, Marlene, Remus and Dahlia & Camelia explaining herself.

Listennnnn, I know we were all thinking wolfstar and trust me i was half finished writing about them to this song but this is Sirius and Harry.

One of the first things Sirius did after escaping Azkaban was seeing Harry at private drive. He didn't need to be there, he knew Peter wasn't there. He was there because he had to see Harry. He had to remember who he was doing this all for

The pre-chorus being Sirius while he was locked up. "In the shade of how he was feeling" could represent Sirius spending a big part of his time in Azkaban thinking about what Harry must think of him.

"As i said in my letters, now that I know better, I will never lost my baby again" Sirius always being there for Harry even while on the run. He continued sending letters and even stayed in a cave just to be close to him

And "My friends tried but i wouldn't hear it, watch me daily disappearing, for just one glimpse of his smile" could be so many instances. Sirius going to Harry's Quidditch games, Sirius going to king's cross, Sirius staying in the cave, Sirius going to the Dursleys

"Now we're at the starting line, I did my time," being Sirius and Harry both thinking that the worse was behind them once they were reunited. Sirius offering Harry to live with him and Harry accepting immediately. All they wanted was each other and the family that they brought to each other.

The entire song is Sirius anticipating the life he could now have with Harry after Azkaban. After killing Peter all Sirius wanted to be was a good Godfather to Harry and he was ready to take it the first moment he got.

"No matter what i've done, it wouldn't matter anyway, ain't no way i'm gonna screw up now that i know what's at stake here."

Florida!!! - Lucinda Talkalot leaving the wizarding world

This is going to be another one that only I think

Florida!!! is about escaping your issues and having a fresh start. I can see Mary being for this song also but I think it suits Lucinda's mindset a lot more

For anyone who doesn't know, Lucinda Talkalot was the Slytherin Quidditch Captain during 1976 and everything Im about to say is purely based on my own headcannons. But let me cook

In my headcannons Lucinda is a muggleborn and quickly gets tired of the wizarding world. She's sick of the bigotry and drama of it all and preferred her life as a muggle much more. Therefore she moves to America and doesn't look back, loving the rest of her life as a Muggle

Unlike Mary, Lucinda isn't doing this sadly. Mary didn't want to leave but felt the need to to keep herself and her family safe while Lucinda just doesn't want to be a witch anymore

I have a hc where it's common in the wizarding world to get married and start families early because of how small the wizarding population actually is. Unless you marry a muggle, someone from a different country (sometimes continent) or someone who is either 7 years older or younger then you in the wizarding world it's expected that you'll meet your future spouse while at school. The line "my friends all smell like weed or little babies" to me indicates that from Lucindas POV where her muggle friends are being young while her wizard friends are growing up too fast and making her feel unbalanced

Lucinda just needed a new start as many of us do but felt trapped in her life with the wizarding world attached to her. "yes in haunted, but i'm feeling just fine, all my girls got their lace and their crimes, and your cheating husband disappeared, well, no one asks any questions here" is her basking in the idea that no one is going to know anything about her once she leaves. While Mary was running away from something, Lucinda was running towards.

Despite being a muggleborn, i don't think Lucinda cares too much about the war. I think she had the mindset of "so long as they're not doing anything to me i don't care" She justified this mindset through her being in Slytherin and deciding that being quiet about the war was her best chance of survival. Because of this I don't think she properly digested the war for what it was. She left seeing the war as nothing but "wizard drama"

The bridge "I need to forget so take me to florida, i've got some regrets, i'll bury them in florida. tell me i'm despicable, say it's unforgivable, at least the dolls are beautiful, fuck me up, florida" Is her buried down guilt for leaving whatever friends she did have in a war Lucinda never let herself know how bad but she can't find it in her to go back. She just didn't want to.

Guilty as Sin? - Amelia Bones & Pandora Lovegood

Amelias POV

Oh closeted Amelia Bones who is deeply in love with Pandora Lovegood but never tells anyone other then her brother because she grew up in such a strict household in the 70s my beloved <3

But seriously we did all hear the queer undertones right? right?????

And the religious language that's used throughout the song??? y'all HAVE to be seeing the vision

And this is another headcannon that only I seem to have and I think I explained it enough (it isn't that complex tbh) but let me go into some more detail if that's okay with you

So i hc Amelia and Edgar Bones to be from a very well respected family but their grandfather nearly lost everything for the Bones family by being a deadbeat and an alcoholic. Because of this their parents are extremely strict on their children. They're obsessed with being the perfect family and "succeeding" as parents by having their children be and do great things

Their older brother Jamie gets eveything right. He becomes a healer, marries his "highschool sweetheart", has three daughters, all that jazz. Edgar (who is Amelias twin and seven minuets younger) is a mess. He fails so badly that his parents have to lie to everyone about how he died for damage control (but that's another story) And Amelia is somewhere in the middle. She becomes Head Girl, she's very smart, she starts working for the Ministry but shes a lesbian and her parents would not like that one bit

Amelia is just as obsessed as being perfect as her parents are. She wants to make them proud and be the daughter they wanted and knows the fact that she's a lesbian will make them turn on her. It doesn't matter how perfect she is.

Amelia falls in love with Pandora while they're at school and never falls in love with anyone else and it kills her that they can't be together

Guilty as Sin? is Amelias guilt when it comes to loving Pandora. Not only does she have them guilt of loving her best friend who is with someone else (Xenophilius) but also a girl

"I dream of crackin locks, throwin my life to the wolves or ocean rocks" is Amelia considering what would happen if she was to be honest with her feelings. If she told Pandora how she felt she would risk throwing everything away

"Someone told me there's no such thing as bad thoughts, only your actions talk" reminds me of something i learnt while at school. I went to a Catholic school and while there we talked about how the church views gay people. We were told that The Catholic Church has no problem with people being gay so long as they don't act on it. Here Amelia could be repeating that statement to herself as a safety net. So long as she doesn't do anything she's still perfect.

All this being said, she's still just a girl who's in love with her best friend and she spends her entire life waiting for it to be okay; for Pandora to come to her. "If it's make-believe, why does it feel like a vow we'll both uphold somehow?" Is Amelia still hoping and still waiting for Pandora to want her back

The bridge "If long suffering propriety is what they want from me, they don't know how you've haunted me so stunningly, i choose you and me religiously" reminds me of something i wrote for Amelia and Pandora a while ago. Here's a little part of it:

Tell her, the voice in her mind screamed. Tell her everything. That this is more than friendship for you. That you love her the way she loves Xenophilius. Tell her every single thing your rotten mind thinks. Tell her that she’s the only reason why you’re still alive. Tell her that she’s kind and caring and beautiful. Tell her that she brightens your day just by smiling and that everytime you see her sad you feel like carving out a hole in your heart. Tell her about all the things you would do for her if only she’d give you the chance. Tell her about all of the times you fell harder and harder for her eyes. Tell her that she is loved. Tell her that you love her and that you will always love her no matter what she does. She could scream at you, she could ignore you, she could kill someone, or hurt someone, or burn the entire world to the ground and you wouldn’t even blink. Tell her that she could choose every single slytherin, every single boy over you and you would still run whenever she came calling. Tell her that no matter what she is loved, because she is Pandora Lovegood and you are Amelia Bones and there is not one universe where she is not the love of your life, even if there isn’t one where you are the love of hers.

And essentially that bridge is exactly what I was trying to come across with that. In the end, she'll choose Pandora if only Pandora would let her.

Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me? - Severus Snape

There are so many people who this song could've been for in my mind so let's go through some honorable mentions before we get to Severus

My first thought while listening was Juliette Wilkes and how dangerous she could be behind the scenes. To me Juliette was a complete bitch. She was heartless but her reason for being was her desire to be loved. For whoever reason she knew she wasn't getting the happily ever after she was promised at childhood so she gave people a reason to hate her. She fought and bit and bitched and laughed.

I next went to Peter Pettigrew. Peter who was constantly overlooked by his peers and teachers, who pulled off the perfect betrayal because "who would be afraid of little old Peter?" I once compared Peter to the Earth in my writing and u stand by that statement wholeheartedly. Peter, like the earth, was collapsing in on himself because of the lack of care from others. I think the beginning of the bridge speaks the most for Peter.

We also have the obvious choice of Sirius Black speaking mostly to his family. Sirius being mad at what they did and who they made him.

There was also Dorcas Meadowes going on a killing spree after the death of Marlene. To me this song could've easily been Dorcas speaking to Regulus, Evan and Barty. Asking the question of if they only were friends with her because they thought she'd do nothing. Did they think she would sit by and let them get away with it? She's a very close second.

Finally theres Lily Evans, the muggleborn who killed The Dark Lord and ended the first wizarding world. Do I even need to say anything else?

It even could've been Remus Lupin if he had embraced his villain origin story

But despite all of that I think Severus takes the cake with this one and I think the best way to explain myself is to tell you exactly what I relate some of the lyrics to in a fast and speedy way.

"If you wanted me dead, you should've just said, nothing makes me feel more alive" Snape knowing more dark curses in his first year then the seventh years. I don't see Snape as a helpless victim to the Marauders. He fought back and I believed he liked that. He armed himself with the spells he created.

"The Scandal was contained, the bullet had just grazed, at all costs, keep your good name" The Prank. I've ranted and raved about how the prank meant nothing to The Marauders and how everything stayed the same for them but for Snape? Dude was nearly murdered by a werewolf and things just carried on as normal!! Would you be normal after that?

"Is it a wonder I broke? Let's hear one more joke" they didn't call him Snivellus Snape with affection

"I was tame, I was gentle til the circus life made me mean" "the circus life" being the wizarding world. the Marauders jokes, the friendship with Lily dissolving, the pressure of the death eaters and Malfoy

"Don't you worry folks, we took out all her teeth" Dumbledore constantly telling people during the second war that Snapes no longer a death eater. "don't worry, voldemort killed the women he loves so he ain't going back lol" (he didn't say it like that but you get my point)

"So tell me everything is not about me, but what if it is?" Severus being a spy for both sides while really just being a spy for Dumbledore. Severus the one who killed Dumbledore. Severus the one who led Hogwarts during its darkest days. Severus who was there when Pettigrew got away. Severus who taught the chosen one occlemancy (idk if i spelt that right) Severus who died willingly to "help" The Dark Lord. Severus who gave the chosen one the right information at the right time while on his death bed

"Say they didn't do it to hurt me, but what if they did?" Voldemort, Dumbledore, Lily, Lucius, The Marauders (tho they definitely meant to hurt him), i could go on.

"I wanna snarl and show you just how disturbed this has made me" Save Charity and let your self go. Fight McGonagall or you'll be found out. You have to put whatever you had with James aside for the sake of the world. Don't actually fight in the battle of the seven potters!! you can't let them know who's side you're on. Betray everyone you've ever known for the sake of the greater good. And when Voldemort is about to kill you don't tell him everything, don't kill him first. you cant. your job is to die for the cause. you don't get closure.

"You wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me" His abusive father. Slytherin house.

"Isn't that what they all said? that i'll sue you if you step on my lawn, that i'm fearsome and i'm wretched and i'm wrong" Severus' life as a teacher. I don't think there was one kid who actually liked him.

"Put narcotics into all of my songs, and what's why you're still singin along" to be reflects everyone constantly going to him for help. Bellatrix and Narcissa. Voldemort. Dumbledore. Even Harry trusted Snape enough to tell him about Sirius in his desperation. When worse comes to worse they're all willing to put their pride aside.

"Who's afraid of little old me? you should be" From a poor halfblood boy with no friends to the right hand man of both Dumbledore and Voldemort

The best way to explain why I picked Snape over everyone else is because while for the them I can relate certain parts of the song to them, with Severus the entire song screams him.

I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can) - Dorcas Meadowes friendship with Regulus Black, Barty Crouch Jr & Evan Rosier

From Dorcas' POV

Y'all ever had a friend who you've known since you were young and while you were growing up they just kept getting worse and worse? Dorcas Meadowes has

Similar to Pandora I don't think we talk enough about how Dorcas' must've been feeling as Regulus, Barty and Evan got closer to the dark side

While i hc that Pandora happily let go of Barty and Evan and came to terms with them becoming Death Eaters quickly with Dorcas it was a much different story.

I think Dorcas would've wanted to hold onto them a lot more. In my headcannons Pandora is the eldest of the skittles and is a year above Dorcas and Evan. Barty and Regulus are a year below them. I think Pandora had other friends besides just them. (Amelia, Edgar, Fabian, Gideon, Benjy and Caradoc who were all in the same year as her) but Dorcas didn't. Those boys were her closest friends and although she knew the path they were going down she was still holding onto the fact that they might change their minds

"The jokes that he told across the bar, were revolting and far too loud" being anytime Dorcas heard them say anything against muggles or muggleborns. When he heard Evan in class agreeing with Bruce Mulciber a little too much for her liking

During the time where Evan, Barty and Regulus were becoming more and more bad I also hc the time where Dorcas and Marlene get together. So Dorcas starts hanging out with Marlene and her friends a little more. "They shake their heads sayin God help her, when i tell em he's my man, but your good Lord doesn't need to lift a finger, I can fix him, no really, I can" is Dorcas defending the boys whenever they become the topic of conversation. She goes through a phase of "you don't know them like i do"

The bridge is Dorcas' hope, thinking that what she was doing and saying (though i don't think she did/said a lot tbh) was working. "Good boy, that's right, come close" is her inner monologue when they do anything right and "Trust me, I can handle me a dangerous man" is her response to people showing genuine concern for her.

The ending "Woah, maybe I cant" is the realisation and to me the exact thought that went through her mind when she found out that they joined Voldemort.

loml - Emmeline Vance & Edgar Bones

From Emmelines POV

There are a total of 5 Edgarline shippers and i live to serve them and them only

And this song just screamsssss them after Edgar dies

In my hcs Emmeline and Edgar break up before Edgar dies but they do so with the intention of getting back together once the war is over and they're both in better places. Their survivors guilt and the pressure of Edgar being an auror and Emmeline being a healer was getting too much for them and when they started taking their grief out on each other they decided to hit pause.

To me the beginning perfectly represents their break up. "Who's gonna stop us from waltzing back into rekindled flames" being their desperation to be together again. "We were just kiss babe, I said "I don't mind, it takes time" i thought i was better safe than starry eyed" is their reasoning for breaking up. Putting themselves and the war before their relationship

The line "you blew in with the winds of fate" could be interpreted two way and both of them i think match Edgar during the war. The first one is the effects of drinking as "the winds of fate" can be utilised as british slang for "a strong drink" I hc that Edgar struggled with alcoholism during the war and especially after the death of his two best friends Fabian and Gideon Prewett.

The second one is that the person is fading or being taken away by the power of destiny which I also hc Edgar to have struggled with. As I said while speaking about Amelia, the Bones parents were very strict on who they wanted their children to be and although Edgar was terrible at keeping up to his parents expectations he was still constantly trying. The only reason he joined the Order was because he felt it was his responsibility to as an auror and the only reason he became an auror was to please his parents.

The bridge is Emmeline thinking on their relationship after Edgar had died. "You shit talked me under the table, talkin rings and talkin cradles, I wish I could unrecall, how we almost had it all" reflects on how they really thought that they would be together in the end. At not one point after breaking up did either of them consider the fact that it was truly over.

"Dancing phantoms on the terrace, are they second hand embarrassed, that i can't get out of bed, cause something counterfeits dead?" The phantoms are the past versions of Emmeline and Edgar, looking at their future selves and seeing how their "fake breakup" is now dead. the break is permanent and Edgar died without Emmeline as his partner. Emmelines wonders if their past selves would be embarrassed that they let their relationship end the way it did

The first chorus is Emmeline looking back on them after his death. "If you know it in one glimpse, it's legendary, you and I go from one kiss to getting married," is their relationship while it was good. "still alive, killing time at the cemetery, never quite buried," is them during the war before their breakup while they were still clinging on. "In your suit and tie, in the nick of time, you low down boy, you stand up guy, your holy ghost, you told me in the love of your life,"

In cannon, when Edgar is mentioned it's said that "they got him and his family." We know that by this Moody couldn't mean Edgars parents and siblings like we hc with Marlene because Amelia is still alive at the point. To get around this I make the ending of Edgars life way too complicated and messy but good for the plot.

As I mentioned before both Emmeline and Edgar are suffering with their mental health and Edgar is not handling himself well at all and is drinking a lot. One night after Edgar and Emmeline had broken up Amelia takes him out but has to leave early because she got called into work. Edgar stays, get smashed and meets a muggle women. Long story short he gets her pregnant during a one night stand. She doesn't know if she wants to keep it or not but Edgar tells her that no matter what he'll support her decision. If she chooses to keep the child, he would be in their life.

He tells Emmeline all about this as soon as he can and makes sure that she knows that he doesn't want it to change anything between them and for the most part Emmeline agrees. I bring this up because I think this moment is represented in the second chorus. "All those plot twists and dynamite, Mr Steal Your Girl, then make her grey, you said i'm the love of your life"

The ending is Emmeline never being able to let go of their relationship because of the lack of closure. I do hc that Emmeline finds love again, and in her lifetime will find herself a wife and step mother a child. But even up to her death she will always be thinking of him because they weren't supposed to end. Edgar was killed, taken from her before they got to reach their full potential. Their story wasn't over but half of the chapters were ripped out.

"Oh, what a valiant roar, what a bland goodbye, the coward claimed he was a lion, Im combing through the braids of lord, "I'll never leave" "Never mind" our field of dreams, engulfed in fire, your arsons match, your somber eyes, and i'll still see it until i die, you're the loss of my life"

I Can Do It With A Broken Heart - James Potter after his breakup with Regulus Black

As I said earlier, I do headcannon that they were together at some point. In my headcannons James and Regulus start secretly dating in their 4/5th year and nobody knows apart from Sirius and Pandora (who were told) and Alice (who found out)

They broke up during James' sixth year and Regulus' fifth. Regulus got mad at James for "helping" Sirius leave and basically just started ignoring him. They had a few slip ups (make out sessions instead of talking) but ultimately broke up

James was obviously upset but considering nobody but Sirius, Pandora and Alice even knew they were dating he had to continue as if nothing ever happened

This song was actually hard to match with someone but I think the overall vibe screams James even if it isn't about Regulus but something else (for this example i will be referring to their breakup tho)

The line "Breaking down, I hit the floor, all the prices of me shattered as the crowd was chanting, "more"" reminds me of Quidditch or just the overall appearance of him and how he carried himself

"I'm so obsessed with him, but he avoids me" is James' entire personality while Regulus was refusing to speak to him and the line "I keep finding his things in drawers, crucial evidence i didn't imagine the whole thing," is James reminding himself that they actually did have a relationship as there's little to no evidence of it

There isn't much more detail to go into this song. It's pretty straight forward

The Smallest Man To Ever Live - Lily Evans & Severus Snape

From Lilys POV

oh snily... i will never be able to figure out how i feel about you

You can see this song as romantic or platonic snily but personally I will be referring to them as friends only as I don't think that Lily ever had any romantic feelings for Snape. I also don't think we talk enough about the FRIENDSHIP. y'all they were best friends😭😭 why does the marauders fandom act like they never were???

Starting from the top we have "Was any of it true?" being Lily asking Severus what if their friendship was real. We really never talk enough about how Snape always knew that Lily was a muggleborn yet still joined Voldemort, knowing how he felt about muggles and muggleborns

I do not believe that Lily would forgive Severus. I don't think he's a bad person but for Lily I feel like everything was a bit too personal. So the chorus "I don't even want you back, i just want to know, if rusting my sparkling summer was the goal, and i don't miss what we had, but could someone give, a message to the smallest man who ever lived?" is Lily wanting closure for their friendship and wanting answers but that only. All Severus could do was apologise but she didn't want that. After he called her a mid blood it was past apologies for her

The bridge is what reminds me of them the most. Oh the bridge... let's go through it together

"Were you sent by someone who wanted me dead?" and "Were you writing a book? were you a sleeper cell spy?" being Lily asking Severus why he told Voldemort about the prophecy

"In fifty years, will all this be disclassified?" More like in 17 years. Will she ever know what his true intentions were?

"It wasn't sexy once it wasn't forbidden" is Severus thinking that Lily was different to other muggleborns. Lily asking if her being muggleborn and his feeling of superiority over her one of the reasons why he liked her

"I would've died for your sins, instead i just died inside" and outside. Like Dorcas, Lily had a "you don't know him like I do" phase.

"And you deserve prison, but you won't get time, you'll slide into inboxes and slip through the bars" How Severus never went to Azkaban for being a death eater because of Dumbledore

"You said normal girls were boring" normal girls being muggles

"And in plain sight you hid, but you are what you did, and i'll forget you, but i'll never forgive, the smallest man who ever lived" being Lily in the afterlife after finding out the truth

The Alchemy - Marlene McKinnon & Dorcas Meadowes

This song has a lot of american football references in it and today we are going to pretend that they're about Quidditch.

In my hcs Dorcas has "hated" Marlene since their first day of school where when waiting tj be sorted Dorcas thought that she was going to be called up but Marlene was instead (since McKinnon is before Meadowes in the alphabet) and ever since Dorcas had been bitter because Marlene had always been so unpredictable

To me this is Dorcas as she realises that she's in love with Marlene which is represented in the second verse "Hey, you, what if i told you we're cool? that child's play back in school, is forgiven under my rule"

I have no proof but i am so certain that "He jokes that it's heroin, but this time with an E" is something that Marlene McKinnon has said. I'm so confident.

I headcannon Marlene as a Ravenclaw and that she became the captain of her Quidditch team during her fifth year, won the cup and in her sixth year captioned Hogwarts first all women's Quidditch team. I have this whole story of the Quidditch season during their sixth year (which you can read btw it's called the epic highs and lows of hogwarts quidditch on ao3 by atlasdoe) and although it doesn't have a happy ending the bridge is what would've happened if they did from Dorcas pov. "Shirts off and your friends lift you up over their heads, beer stickin to the floor, chris chanted cause they said, "there was no chance tehing to be the greatest in the league" where's the trophy? he just comes runnin over to me"

"Cause the sign on your heart, said it's still reserved for me, honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?" is soooo dorlene i could cry. This song is just the right amount of happiness that they deserve

Clara Bow - Harry Potter

Oh Harry, being in the Marauders fandom has made you so much more tragic for me

The poor orphan boy who in the span of a day went from a nobody to the chosen one.

"You look like Clara Bow," "You look like Stevie Nicks" "You look like Taylor Swift" is Harry constantly being told he looks like his father but with his mothers eyes

The first verse saying "In this light, remarkable, All your life, did you know, you'd be picked like a rose?" reminds me of Harry entering the Leaky Caldron for the first time and having all those strangers be so eager to shake his hand. Being "picked like a rose" is him being the chosen one but even before he was known as it.

The second verse, "In '75, the hair and lips, crowd goes wild at her fingertips, half moonshine, a full eclipse" is Harry being told about his parents while they were at school. Him listening to Sirius and Remus sing his parents praises and only dreaming to be as loved as they were

The outro, "In this light, we're lovin it, you've got edge. she never did, the futures bright, dazzling" is Harry after winning the war. The "edge" that his parents never had allowed him to survive. His future is bright now that they know he has one

The Chorus is the repeated expectations that Harry has to live up to "This town is fake but you're the real thing, breath of fresh air through smoke rings, take the glory, give everything, promise to be dazzling" is what he was told during his first few years at Hogwarts while. "The crown is stained, but you're the real queen, flesh and blood amongst war machine, you're the new god we're worshipping, promise to be dazzling" is what he was told as the war became more serious.

Heyhey! Yes, I am that writer! I’m good, super busy with exams and finishing my research tho, but hopefully I’ll get some more free time again eventually. Yes, I accept both headcanons or drabbles (as long as it works with my story universe), but I’m VERY bad at actually finishing drabbles haha…

Okay so I LOVE Tenma and Shindou’s dynamic, so thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to ramble about it XD

Shindou and Tenma’s relationship is, in one word, complex. As we all know, Shindou at the start of the anime doesn’t particularly like Tenma because of his behavior towards soccer, for two reasons: he thinks Tenma is very naive and his thoughtless actions will not only get himself in trouble, but also everyone else (and at this point, if Shindou has to choose between the team he’s been a part of for a year and a kid he’s met a day ago, it’s not even a choice).

The second reason is that he understands. Shindou loves soccer too. In a prestigious family where achievement is everything, soccer sometimes felt like the only thing he could just do for fun, not because he had to be good at it. And he was good at it.

But Fifth Sector ruined it for him, and the only reason he hasn’t left the club yet is because he feels a responsibility towards his teammates and because this is the only way he still gets to do what he loves, even if it’s twisted. So when he meets Tenma - cheerful, bright-eyed, hopeful Tenma - he hates him. He sees himself in him. And he can’t stand to see that spark in Tenma’s eyes fade like it did for him, so he tries to push Tenma away, get him to quit, before he has to see that happening. Beyond that Shindou is having a very hard time in general and using Tenma as a… well, a punching bag, in a way. At the same time you’ve got Tenma, who doesn’t know the meaning of backing down, and is also not the type of person to fight back against the type of treatment Shindou is giving him.

Of course, eventually this starts to change; Shindou gains hope that maybe, just maybe they can do something against Fifth Sector, and once he’s made up his mind about something he’ll go all in. With Shindou and Tenma now on the same side, the previous tension in their relationship fades and they have the chance to get to know each other. Tenma is (sort of ironically) very shy and very enthusiastic, and his optimism brings Shindou out of his own depressive slump. It’s contagious, really.

Once Shindou stops targeting Tenma all the time, Tenma gains a new appreciation for him as well. He’s already a fanboy of anything soccer and Shindou’s plans, the way his mind works, blows him away - Shindou is easily the smartest person Tenma’s ever met, and for him to look at Tenma and treat him as a teammate, as someone to be acknowledged… that means a lot. Just like that, their relationship becomes much more amicable, and they bond over their shared love of soccer and their goal of defeating Fifth Sector. They’re, maybe not friends, but at least on friendly terms.

Then there is another important factor that influences the way they interact - the captain switch.

Several people have actually expressed their surprise at the two of them. Tenma essentially ‘replaced’ Shindou as captain, after all, so outsiders would expect Tenma to reject Shindou’s advice - to prove himself as the ‘real’ captain, instead of listening to the old one. Similarly, Shindou was expected to hold a grudge since he was replaced by a first-year. Except that’s about as far from the truth as you can get.

Tenma respects Shindou very much first as captain and later as strategist, and holds his opinion in high regard. Even after all the years they’ve known each other, Shindou is still the one he’ll turn to first when a decision needs to be made and he wants a second opinion. Even if he doesn’t necessarily ask for it, he’ll always listen if Shindou has something to add. Furthermore, Tenma has never wanted to be captain - the role was thrust upon him due to circumstances, and he agrees because his team asked him to, but he’s never seen himself as any sort of leader and if he could, he’d shy away from the responsibility. He’s also of the opinion that Shindou is a great captain - why would he need to be replaced?

Except, of course, Shindou gets injured so there isn’t really a choice in that. What does happen, however, is the decision the team made to have Tenma stay on as captain even after Shindou recovered - which was suggested by Shindou himself.

Because Shindou doesn’t like being captain.

He’s pretty good at it, but it stresses him out a lot. He’s a strategist first and foremost and being captain interferes with that. Shindou wants to make plans, analyze the world around him, observe and gather information but if he’s acting as captain he can’t do that, can’t retreat into his own head like that. He’s got a responsibility to the rest of the team and he always feels the pressure to be aware of them, lift their spirits, lead them, and if he’s too busy with his plans he can’t do that. He also does not see himself as the most empathetic individual - gauging the team’s mood, figuring out what to say, isn’t really instinctive for him. He can do it if necessary but it takes effort and he often second-guesses himself, and with a team so diverse and intense as Raimon, empathy is a must.

So to Shindou, being captain is a burden. He took the position because the team wanted him to and he doesn’t regret it, but once Tenma shows a pretty instinctual talent for it and has a few weeks to polish that talent - once it becomes clear how easy it is for the team to follow him - well, Shindou sees his chance and takes it. He’s the one to voice the thought first, and once he tells the rest of the team, they don’t see any reason to disagree.

Which is exactly why Shindou has no resentment towards Tenma for taking his position. Shindou can do what he likes most - strategize - and aid his team, all the while knowing Raimon is in the best possible hands. And beyond that; Shindou didn’t give up any of his authority in the team. If a decision has to be made, Raimon decides together. Shindou and Tenma are a duo when it comes to leading the team - Shindou makes the plans, Tenma inspires them to do what’s right and encourages them.

Tenma, despite first floundering under the responsibility, handles it well and Shindou (nor the other senpai) refuses to let him shoulder it alone. Tenma’s still just a first-year, after all, and like mentioned before, Shindou sees himself in him. Now more than ever. They both know what it’s like to become captain in their first year, to have the responsibility thrust upon them, and Shindou refuses to let Tenma struggle with it alone. He acts like a listening ear, always willing to lend advice if the younger asks for it, and although at first Tenma is quite hesitant (with Shindou being his senpai), he’s also very earnest and open.

Over time, they get to talking more and more, outside of club-related things. Shindou is the dependable smart friend Tenma can always come to with his issues, while Tenma is cheerful and optimistic and doesn’t really expect anything from Shindou, not like the rest of the world. Doesn’t expect perfect grades or being the best, and while it takes Shindou a while to let go of the mask, eventually Tenma becomes one of the few friends he can just completely be himself around. Shindou is much more relaxed now that he’s no longer the captain and the tension in Raimon that was present under Fifth Sector’s reign is gone, and it shows in his friendship with Tenma. They act crazy, or lazy, and just do things for fun because they want to. They, together with Tsurugi, have been dubbed the new Raimon Trio, and it just works. Their skills complement each other and they settle into a comfortable friendship and shared leadership over the team after Tenma’s first year.

Sure, it takes them quite a while to get to that point, both because they have unspoken issues between them originating from the start of the year, and because they need to learn to understand each other. There's the boundaries caused by Tenma's insecurities and Shindou's expectations for himself. It takes a while for Tenma to learn to depend on other people and for Shindou to learn to be patient and listen, something that's been driven out of him by years of expectation and responsibility. But they get there. Maybe not immediately, but once they do, their friendship is unbeatable and something they both cherish dearly.

As for headcanons…

They tease each other all the time. Tsurugi plays a part in this too. The three of them just full on snark whenever they have the chance (Tsurugi and Shindou especially like making fun of Tenma for being the shortest, Tenma and Shindou like making fun of Tsurugi when he’s pretending to be all cool, and Tenma and Tsurugi will never let an opportunity to mention Shindou’s dramatic tendencies go).

Tenma loves listening to Shindou playing the piano and once Shindou figures that out, he offers to play something whenever Tenma comes over to his house, to Tenma’s absolute delight.

They often discuss team matters, sometimes over video or phone call, and always end up sharing ideas for hissatsu techniques and strategies (either for themselves or their teammates). It’s actually why they’re so in sync and can pull off improvised moves so well; they share their ideas so often they know pretty well how the other thinks/works, and that shows when they’re in the middle of a match. Super convenient when you know your best friend has been designing a new super shot for WEEKS and is itching to try it out.

In the year Shindou goes to high school while Tenma’s still in middle school, they end up calling each other quite a lot, and they like to get ramen or bubble tea or ice cream after school if they’ve both got the time, since they can’t hang out anymore as easily. Soon they drag anyone in the team along if they’ve got time, but it’s a habit that started with just the two of them.

They have a standing agreement to disagree on whether cats or dogs are better.

Tenma has been known to drag Shindou out very early in the morning during weekends if he’s got plans, whether that’s soccer practice or for a walk or whatever they’ve planned this time. Shindou is NOT a morning person but it’s very hard to say no to Tenma.
