he was just passing by with his members, but you caught his attention immediately

he was baffled by how much effort you put into trying to get the bag

shaking and kicking the poor thing just because it stole your money

heeseung let his fraternity brothers go ahead and went up to you, placing his palms firmly to the glass and giving the machine a single shake

he could have the fame of a jerk, but he wasn’t heartless

the bag of chips immediately fell down, and he glanced at you when you crouched down to grab them

he was already planning when your wedding would be and how many children you’d have together

his mouth was slightly agape and he couldn’t stop staring at you

you were the prettiest girl he had ever seen in his life

and when you smiled and thanked him, heeseung was a goner

the only thing he managed to do was nod and watch you walk away

hee kept thinking about you for the rest of day

the boy bought a giant bouquet of red roses and combed his tousled hair

but still showed up to your last class with his usual loose, oversized clothes

“i just wanted to know if you wanna go out sometime? yeah, yeah! like a date. i mean... wait, what–? you do?! o-oh! okay, perfect!”

heeseung was over the moon when you agreed to go out with him

his face was just as red as the roses he picked for you

dipped a kiss to your cheek with the goofiest grin and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly as he gave you his number

when you two started dating, he began to use your dates as an excuse to not go to the frat parties he used to attend

he never really enjoyed them

loud people trying to shove a bunch of drinks down his throat weren’t his thing

the beginning was nice, but he got tired after two hours into the party and his social battery died out

so a reason to not go was an early christmas gift

if you start the banter first, he’ll be shocked for a moment and fastly go back to his infamous teasing demeanor, firing back a flustering remark

but god forbid if you reply to one of his pick up lines

his brain shuts down and he doesn’t recover from it for a while

‘doll’ is his trademark pet name for you, though, sometimes, he uses ‘baby’ despite saying that it is “too mainstream”

heeseung’s main hobby is pestering you and ( lightheartedly ) embarrassing you

which is something that you wouldn’t expect from a chill and laid-back guy like him

so don’t be surprised if he suddenly shouts something stupid while you walk ahead down the hall

cue everyone from the frat laughing, but stopping in the same nanosecond because heeseung gave them his blank face

calls you things like ‘hot stuff’ or ‘baby cakes’ whilst pressing his lips to your face, just to hear your giggle because

has to kiss you at least once an hour

his definition of kissing, however, is making out with you for hours, until something comes up and you have to stop

he’s an impatient and desperate kisser; he kisses you as if you were going to leave him

during the rare moments where he pulls aways, he traces an imaginary path down your chin, to your throat and collarbone with his swollen lips

playfully twirls a lock of your hair on his finger while nipping on your neck

grins nonstop when you two manage to fit a quick kissing session in between class breaks

when you have study dates together, he’s only focused on your beauty

the concept of being in a relationship was foreign to you. you had never really had a proper relationship with anybody in regards to romance; it was like all and every thought of romance was something you never truly experienced, if you didn't count otome games and dating sims that you always pored over, spent all your time playing and devoting your allowances to new costumes and dialogues from your favorite love interests that made you feel pretty, wanted, and loved.

you never really stood out to anybody, that much you believed was true. you found it hard to see anybody liking you, who avidly wore anime shirts and collected expensive figurines and hung up posters of your favorite game series, cartoons, animes, movies, and shows all over your room. and you don't even wanna bring up the fact that you casually play rpgs whenever you can, wearing the cutest set of headphones that made you stand out in... a rather awkward way–a way you just wish you never got attention from, through stares and stifled chuckles of amusement from others.

you did all you could to ignore the stares, the laughter, the snide comments from girls who thought they were better than you–and you had grown quite used to being alone, to finding solace in games and the internet. and though it wasn't healthy, this was a place you called home; and those characters on your screen that always smiled whenever you chose a good interaction choice, whenever you held them in the right places, they made you feel happy.

but there was another boy who wanted to make you feel happy, a boy who appeared and acted like he came right out of a fairy tale; the male lead in a shoujo manga you never thought you'd live out to be female lead in.

tooru oikawa–the great king of the court, the boy every girl in your year had the hots for. you never really paid that much attention to him because, of course, why would you waste your valuable time and energy on a boy you never knew well, nor would even take an interest in you?

sure, he was your classmate and occasional partner for activities and group works, but his personality always seemed so fake. you knew he was acting like a kind of host boy in a host club, and though you knew guys like that were totally your type, you always kept your guard up around him.

it wasn't like he was going to hurt you, anyway, he was too gallant for that, it seemed. the way a boy like this would only hurt you would be through getting your hopes up that he'd ever like you, and ultimately thank you for being a mere fan and forget your name, maybe laugh about your silly headphones and the way your eyes shone whenever your favorite character called you cute in a dating sim.

but... it was these very qualities that drew oikawa to you.

oikawa had only known you existed for a few months now, since he saw you so often during class as his new seatmate. he knew you weren't anything like the girls that vied for his attention, and it felt like a breath of fresh air for him, not having someone breathe down his neck every few seconds at every little thing he does.

sure, you were a little messy sometimes, a little quiet, a little awkward–a little in your own head most of the time, but it was, in your own unique way, charming. oikawa would instinctively smile to himself whenever you'd get flustered at him asking you for a pencil while you were sneaking to play your otome games on your phone in class, and he'd feel a little proud of you whenever you'd recite in class.

he knew it was hard for you sometimes to show confidence, though he always encouraged you to stand up straight, "you look pretty when you hold your chin up high," he'd always say. of course, you'd sometimes side eye him, and it'd make him a little worried he said something wrong, but it's the fact that you keep oikawa on his toes about how he makes you feel around you that allures him to you even more.

from talking to you during class, he'd bring the conversations outside of class. of course, he'd always carry the conversation while you were trying to beat a really hard boss in your rpgs. he'd cheer you on while he had no idea what was going on–and even the rest of the third years were worried oikawa had some ulterior motives with you, but when they saw how different that usually plastic smile of his was whenever he'd look at you, talk to you, try to get closer with you... it was like there was something out of place there, that got replaced with something purer.

shocking, they know.

"alright, out with it." iwaizumi spat out, hitting oikawa lightly on the shoulder. oikawa looked at iwaizumi curiously. "out with what, iwa-chan?" "are you stupid? you know you can't make her a victim of your charms." when iwaizumi said that, he knew exactly who the her he was referring to was. it was you.

oikawa looked at iwaizumi all pouty, his eyebrows furrowed. "how low do you think of me? i'm not charming her for anything malicious..." "so you're admitting you are making her like you." "i-i never said that!" oikawa retorted, his face getting redder and hotter, his voice getting higher as he was on the brink of admitting the truth.

iwaizumi furrowed his eyebrows and pursed his lips. "so why are you doing this, it's clear she has no interest in you." oikawa couldn't argue with iwaizumi's statement, it was true, you didn't look like you had fully trusted oikawa, and that hurt him to a degree nobody, not even he could bear.

"...because i like her. and i want her to trust me." oikawa muttered, looking away from iwaizumi. it was hard for him to admit, but there was no other way to express it without getting totally crushed by his own half truths and half lies. this was the whole, unadulterated truth–tooru oikawa, the great king of the court, liked you.

he liked the way you got flustered whenever your favorite character would say they love you, he liked the way you glared at him when you'd catch on to his flirting, he liked the way you were so knowledgeable on such nerdy things that... he had watched all your favorite movies and animes, and was planning to gift you merch this coming holiday season.

"...well, you have a lot of work to do to prove to her you like her." "no kidding..." oikawa replied with a sigh, at least his best friend supported his crush on you. he knew it might take a while, a very long while–maybe a whole lifetime to prove how much he loved you. but he'd prove it to you, somehow, and he won't ever stop until he shows his little nerdy girl just how much he's serious about her; how much he loves you.

You didn’t know why but legs were shaking in anticipation as you stuck your gaze to ENHYPEN’s number 10. Your heart was beating harder and harder as you watched Riki dribbled the ball and passing it to number 23. Sunghoon, you believe?

“Focusing so hard on your lover boy?” You heard Miki smirk. That comment seem to fuel your other friends too as Beomgyu let out his signature laugh.

“I’m literally just watching the game guys.”

“Yeah? Well you weren’t this excited before getting to know mr. number 10.” You turn to see Jeongin and Beomgyu switching those “looks”.

“Are you guys implying that I’m never excited to watch Hee play??”

“Stop using Hee as an excuse. We know that you had eyes on number 10 for awhile. You just seem to always forget about him outside court.” Beomgyu rolled his eyes playfully.

His statement made you realize, have you really kept your eyes on Niki for awhile despite not knowing him outside his jersey attire? Though your thoughts were soon cut short as you felt Miki tap your shoulder.

“Shut up and look! Your lover boy just scored a three-point!”

The game went on for awhile and before you could even blink, the game was over. As the result, your school won with only 3 points ahead! Well you gotta admit, SM got some good players.

All of you went down to the field once the game was over to congratulate the players. You can see Miki skipping her way to Karina as she spotted her dear friend in the midst of the crowd.

You watch the two engulf each other in a long tight hug, smiling at them before leaving the two to give them some ‘alone time’.

Heeseung spotted you halfway and went over to call your name, indicating you to go to him. As you reached down, you see your best friend approaching you with open arms. But just before he can hug you, you slid left and dodged him.

“Ew don’t hug me, you’re sweating.” You grimaced at him and he pouted slightly in return. But the grimace on your face soon dissipate, your lips curling upwards forming into a smile as you high-fived him. “You did great, I’m proud of you, Hee.”

“Thankyou, bubble tea.” He smiled brightly before continuing.

“Now don’t you think you’re forgetting something?” Hee nudged you towards a certain tall, black haired boy, with a number 10 engraved on his jersey.

You glanced to the right and just as if it was on cue, Riki’s eyes made contact with yours. You can feel your heart accelerating just a bit faster at the act. Why were you getting nervous? After all he’s just a friend right?

You slowly approach him, looking up to him with a smile. “Hi Riki.”

“Hey Yn.” His eyes widened a bit before returning your smile.

“You we’re amazing there. It was so intense, I couldn’t keep my eyes off you. You did so well.”

“You think so?” A blush blossomed on his visage as his hand rubbed the back of his neck, smiling hard over your compliment.

“Of course.” Riki saw how your eyes lit up in anticipation as you told him about how cool he was when scored the last point that led to their win.

But in the midst of your talking, he seemed to get lost in those alluring eyes of yours, looking at you with a unwavering gaze as he listened to what you had to say.

“Oh he’s so down bad” Heeseung snickered before leaving the two alone to catch up with the rest of the team.

heeseung's team notified him they were leaving and left heeseung and (m/n) to their lonesome. "oh, please.. you were already amazing before i came along , but i have to admit, my cheers do have some secret magical effect on your game." (m/n) said , heeseung giggling. 🚓 I fully believe Oikawa is a fan of spanking. He may also shorten your chains.

O is for Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling? What rights can be earned with time and trust?

📜 Oikawa wants you to be happy, so he does his best to not take away too many rights. Even more rights can be earned with time and good behavior.

P is for Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

🕊️ Oikawa can actually get really impatient at times, expecting you to catch on quickly or do what he wants when he wants it.

Q is for Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

🏃‍♀️ Oikawa would never recover from that and would blame himself forever. However, I think he’d try to fill the hole in his heart by dating and sleeping around.

👿 Oikawa gets a little scary, but mostly silent. The only thing that’s not so much fun is that he’ll grab your arm really tightly and drag you around.

S is for Soulmate: What made them fall in love with their darling? How did they first meet? When did they realize they loved their darling?

💍 Oikawa would fall for someone that isn’t like his fangirls- someone who isn’t interested in him or is chubby or not classically pretty. He thinks he’s doing them a favor by liking them and it gives him an ego boost.

T is for Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

😭 He would feel a little bad, but mostly I think he’d be annoyed. So many girls would gladly take your place, you know.

U is for Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

👌 Oikawa has a big ego and is therefore delusional in ways that a lot of yanderes aren’t.

🧳 Yes, Oikawa would use burner phones and allow you to speak to relatives ONLY after a long time of living with him.

❌ With a lot of time, you can abuse one of the rights Oikawa gives back to escape. Whether it’s revealing something over the phone or running away during an outside walk, just be careful or you may lose that right forever.

X is for Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?

🛐 Oikawa gets frustrated when you don’t love him back, as that’s his greatest wish. He’ll get desperate pretty quickly and try to gain your love by any means possible.

🛐 However, he doesn’t exactly worship you because of his ego.

Y is for Yearning: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?

😍 Oikawa can wait a long time to kidnap you, however he reeks of desperation pretty early on and can’t handle rejection.

Z is for Zero Tolerance: What is the thing that always makes them snap? What things will they not allow their darling to do under any circumstances?

0️⃣ Rejection makes him snap every time. He knows you’re playing hard to get, but come on! Knock it off already!
