aromantic bisexuals are so cool
you are not "bad bi representation" or "shallow" for experiencing sexual attraction and not romantic attraction
you are not responsible for other people's stereotyping of bisexuality
you are welcome in the bi community
you are awesome
aromantic bisexuals are so cool

Edit : sorry for portraying the stereotypical blue equal masc, and fem equals pink thing on these. The original bi flags meanings aren’t defined like that (bi flag meaning) , I was already aware of the meanings as I made these but I had the intention of these flags having separate meanings, different from the original I didn’t really think too hard on the colors tbh I just really wanted to stick to the same aesthetic of the bi flag but with these versions having symbols on them too show an attraction preference.

It was easy to understand I'm aro, what's difficult is understanding I don't need to force myself to like anyone in order to prove my self-worth or sm

Happy Bi Awareness Week! We’ve just uploaded a collection of articles to our website highlighting the experiences of bi aspecs - thanks to all our contributors! The quotes highlighted above are specifically from the Bi Aspecs and Aroaces article - we also have an article that focuses on Bi Aces and one on Bi Aros, for those who want a more tailored view. You can read Bi Aspecs and Aroaces here: https://taaap.org/2022/09/23/bi-aspecs/
[ID: Bi Aspecs. “I wish other bi people didn’t assume you experienced the world the exact same way as them. There’s always this feeling, that I know I’m not alone in feeling, that you’re not __ enough and with being both bi and aspec it can feel like you have to be one or the other explicitly and never both and yet we stand and we are sometimes both.” - Ella. “Honestly, I have some trouble identifying / connecting with my bi identity because I've always kind of felt like being Demi-Romantic and Asexual have somehow superceded/minimized it.” - Tom. Pictured are the bi crescent moons.
“The best way any aspec community can support me is to imagine my existence. Erasure of combined LGBTQ identities happens all too often and I want more people like myself to feel safe.” - Ella. “There have been occasions where people have not taken my bi identity as seriously due to my aroace identity, particularly the ace part, but luckily those occasions have become less frequent over the years.” - Max. “I do still feel disconnected to half of the bi community because my attraction to people is only romantic, not sexual.” - Karolyne. Pictured is the oriented aroace flag with a circular bi flag on top. End ID.]

I want to talk about being aroallo for a little bit. Before I start, I want to make it abundently clear that there's nothing wrong with sex that doesn't involve emotional intimacy. There's nothing wrong with one-night-stands. There's nothing wrong with sex with strangers you're never gonna see again.
However, I guess I'm just feeling kind of bummed about how romantic love seems to be the only kind of love people are capable of associating with sex. Like either you're having no strings attached casual sex or you're having romantic sex and there's no inbetween which just isn't true for me. I lost my virginity to my best friend and it was deeply emotionally intimate and wonderful and I felt very close to them but it wasn't romantic. I'm aromantic. I care immensely about them but as a friend. The way I care about them affected the sex we had. It was emotional, it was personal, it was intimate. None of that is negated by the fact it wasn't romantic. I just wish this was talked about more idk.
Anyway, sorry if this was a bit rambling, I've just been thinking. Aroallos, you're incredible and awesome. Everybody else, go give your local aroallo £5

There is no “more than friendship” imo
Romantic relationships, sexual relationships, queerplatonic relationships, etc are not more important than friendships
It’s just likely you have more friends than you do partners of other varieties
Unless you have one hell of a polycule you almost definitely have more biological family than romantic partners. Is one more important than the other?
But I display behavior that people think is “romantic” towards all of my friends. I’ve been asked if I’m dating every single one of them at least once, even though I’m not only in a monogamous relationship, but some of them are too!
And don’t even get me started with people being confused as fuck about my partner and I. “You and your partner both kiss all your friends and are so affectionate with them! You often spend more time with your friends than each other! You both are always telling your friends you love them! Isn’t that cheating?”
No, it isn’t.
“So you two are in an open relationship then?”
No, we’re not.
“So you two are actually just friends?”
No, we’re not.
“So what’s the difference to you between your friends and your partner?”
Something you could never really understand unless you’re us.

Here is a highlight of our article focusing on Bi Aros! This is apart of our series on Bi aspecs for Bi Awareness Week 2022. You can read the full thing here: https://taaap.org/2022/09/25/bi-aros/
[ID: Bi Aros. “Learn about alloarophobia, learn about biphobia. And just as important, call these things out when you see them!” - Alex. “Just because I can freely be sexually attracted to more than one gender without being romantically involved or interested doesn't make me callous or without feeling.” - Michelle Ridge. “I don't really feel that comfy in the mainstream LGBTQ movement because it is so focused on being respectable. And this is how I feel about most alloromantic bisexual people as well.” - Marie. Pictured is a symbol of bi orientation, the Venus and Mars symbols linked in an infinity sign, in aro green.
Bi Aros. “(J)ust because someone is aro and bi doesn’t mean they sleep around. That is a stereotype for both aromantic and bisexual people, and it needs to be thrown out. Plus, if one is aromantic, bisexual, or both, and they sleep around, there’s nothing wrong with that!” - Ava. “I think being bi-aligned in aro communities has been a positive experience and provoked conversations that were really meaningful to me and for the people I was talking with.” - Mary Kate. Pictured is a bisexual flag with an arrow, in the aro flag colors, over laid on top. End description.]
