As you probably know, I'm oriented aroace. I'm currently talking to my irl friends who know this in order to explain to them the attraction that I feel. One thing that made me laugh is that when I explained that someone who wasn't arospec would be allo, they asked if I just ment people who aren't queer. They've just assumed the complete opposite of what all exclusionists are trying to argue.

I am also worried though because he doesn't sound like himself like he's talking different I mean and so I'm quite worried so I'm going to ask him about it tomorrow to check that he's ok.

I've been thinking a lot recently and I think might be bi oriented aroace and the label fits quite well. I'm really anxious to tell people though because no one I know understands what it is and I'm not really sure how to explain it to them. I don't really know whether this was asking or telling sorry. I just need advice if that's alright.

Hey there! its always hard to explain identity to people who don't already know what aspec is! heres some small things:

Make sure you're safe first!

This is extremely important! Do not come out if you may be in danger if you do so! Explaining aroace Explaining aroace easily is my hardest job, i usually say: "Aromantic, or aro, is little to no romantic attraction or fluctuation amounts of attraction. Where as Asexual, or ace, is little to no sexual attraction or fluctuation amounts of attraction."

This is a newer term for me, hopefully this helps for others and maybe I can summarise for you! "basically means for me that I don't experience romantic or sexual attraction, but I do experience other types of attraction (sensual, aesthetic etc.) and would like to be in a queerplatonic relationship (a non-romantic, non-sexual relationship) with people of two or more genders." - link "A bi aroace is an individual who experiences non-romantic, non-sexual attraction to two or more genders. They may be attracted to others in a platonic way, sensual way, aesthetic way, alterous way, queerplatonic way, or a combination of these attractions. A bi aroace might be attracted to both men and women, or they may be attracted to men and nonbinary people, or women and nonbinary people, etc. The term is also inclusive of sapphic, achillean and enbian individuals." - link basically "Bi-orintated means that I don't experince romantic or sexual attraction but I might feel platonic, sensual, aesthetic, alterous, queerplatonic attraction or a combination of these attractions."
