There is a canon universe where Bruce died and his parents became Batman and the Joker.

Why isn’t there one where Dick Grayson falls instead of his parents and they are so heartbroken that they swear to get revenge on the crime lord that decided to sabotage their little boys trapeze.

Then they become Nightwing and Flamebird, and they team up with Batman to hunt down Zucco.

Imagine an au that instead of John and Mary Grayson dying Dick dies instead? It would be a tragedy, his first show and he’s dead. Of course the police get there and clear out all of the people and they turn their back and the body’s gone. Never to be seen again until one day like 10 years later, there is a new talon, the gray son.

Idea that won’t leave me alone: one of those Bruce adopts all his kids as Tinies AUs where toddler Jason is two and his favorite person in the WORLD is his big brother. But he’s just barely learning to talk so when he says his brother’s name…in comes out as “Ick.”

Leading to—

Jason: Icky!! Icky!

Four-year-old Dick Grayson: I’M NOT ICKY!

Jason, insistently: ICKY!

Dick, getting progressively more upset: STOP CALLING ME ICKY!

Jason: No! Icky!

Dick: No! YOU’RE icky!

And escalating until they’re both crying—Dick because Jason won’t stop calling him icky. Jason because his big brother won’t play with him.

This happens at least once a day. Bruce is so tired.
