was having a conversation with a friend about what a “normal” amount of partners to have is. This is about any kind of committed partner— not just romantic or queer platonic, but sexual, alterous, wavership, and “undefined but my partner regardless.”
If you have more than nine partners, good god do I respect your time management.

I hate that people view polyamory and aromanticism as completely opposed things. We surprisingly have so much in common:
We deconstruct amatonormativity from different perspectives that are both very enriching.
We suffer from laws and advantages given only to mono married couples, and that aren't granted to us too.
And also:
Polyam aros exist!
There is so much erasure regarding polyam/ace/aro people within the queer community, and something that everybody disregards is the different meaning relationships can have for aros and how that mingles well with polyamory.
Obviously, I'm not saying that every aro is polyam, but the strict and restricted understanding of relationships by people outside of those circles masks the reality of people who are both!
Aroallos exist and can engage with multiple sexual partners at a time. People can love in more ways than friendships or romance, that's why we have QPRs or terms like alterous or exteramo attractions. The aro spectrum is very vast, and there are a lot of different experiences that can make people identify as aro and polyam. Our definition of relationships, even with just platonic attraction, can be incompatible with traditional mono romantic relationships, too. There are so many possibilities and so much close mindedness around it.
Just keep an open mind if you're not concerned by this. Remember to include us at pride. We're queer and fight with you against heteronormativity!

To aromantics who think they will never get the relationship they want:
You can. It is possible. There are folks out there willing to be in non-romantic relationships. I am a living example that it is possible. I am in a polycule of 7 and not a single relationship is romantic. There are 4 queerplatonic relationships and 2 relationships that are completely unlabeled. 4 of the 7 are aromantic, 2 are ace, and the other two are alloallo. It is entirely possible to enter the relationships you think are only in your mind. There are people out there like you that want these kinds of relationships. You are not alone in your search, and you will find people that will want to engage you this way.

i've always hated love triangles because it doesn't make any sense, like a love triangle isn't two people in love with the same person because that is not a triangle, an actual love triangle should be person a is in love with person b, person b is in love with person c and person c is in love with person a, that is an actual triangle, also I've come up with a few endings to love triangles, 1. the main character realized they're aromantic(or aroace) and the two other people who are in love with the mc realized they were actually in love with each other so mc gets to live a happy life alone and the two other people get to live a happy life together, 2. the three of them end up in a polyamorous relationship, 3. they all just move on from each other and/or continue being good friends with each other.

Hey everybody!
My name is Oryn and I wanted to create a space for people who are Aspec and also polyamorous!
This blog can be for anything relating to that.
I also run @polyam-aro-culture-is
You might have seen me mention a discord so if you are interested let me know! (Though I’m aiming to have it be 18+)
I might do a proper intro post later but I am 23 and my pronouns are he/they.

Been seeing some interesting answers on this poll... so, once again-- This is about any kind of committed partner— not just romantic or queer platonic, but sexual, alterous, wavership, and “undefined but my partner regardless." Any kind of serious, long term partner.
if you want nine or more partners-- good lord. good luck, and godspeed. if you want no partners, i wish you a very pleasant 'everyone leaves you alone about it'

I choose to be daring and go out with a sign that says "polyam and aro: I exist" at pride.
Readying myself for all the people who'll go: "but polyamory is only for romantic relationships!!! You're too terminally online!!!" by sharpening my kitchen knives rn

Something that i find really ironic and kinda funny is the fact that 2 of my best friends are polyamorus. I am very close with both of them and they tell me about their relationships and occasionally ask me for advice. I am aromantic. I just love the fact that when it comes to romantic orientation we are polar opposites and yet could not be closer as friends :) I love the support and diversity present in our friendships and honestly I can't help but think that this is how it should always be.
I just wanted to share some pride positivity, have a good day everybody :)
