this blog is now inactive. i'm incredibly burned out (and having a bit of an identity crisis). i don't have the energy or heart to run it at the moment; i do want to come back eventually, but i don't know when that will happen.
i've been slowing down posting over the past few months. i hate to walk away from something that used to be a major passion project for me, but i need the time.
thank you to everyone for being here over the past few years i am so so grateful for your support. see you around <3

i love you straight aromantics. i love you straight asexuals. i love you straight aroaces. i love you straight aroallos. i love you straight aspecs. i love you straight aspecs who are questioning if they’re aspec or not. i love you ‘straight passing’ aspecs. you are loved and you are included and i see your pain and your struggles. you will always always always be a part of our community.

"Asexual people can and do have sex" and "assuming asexual people will want or be willing to have sex excludes + ignores sex-repulsed/indifferent aces" are takes that can and should coexist, and it hurts me that a lot of people seem to forget that.

You post about wanting to date and romantic attraction (https://www.tumblr.com/shmaroace/735433361562255360/wanting-to-date-and-feeling-romantic-attraction) has just blown my mind?? I struggle with this frequently and your post. was. just. the. light bulb above head moment. I'd never seen it put so clearly and bluntly before and thank you!
💜
oh thank you :) i'm so flattered

i hate the implication that you’re not a full person if you’re not in a romantic relationship, so here’s to everyone who doesn’t need to find their “other half” because they’re already complete

You don't have to have everything figured out right away, there's no deadline on understanding your identity or knowing what labels are/aren't right for you.

if you support aspecs but you think microlabels are "weird" or "niche" then you don't actually support aspecs 👍 hope this helps!

if i can support alloromantics without understanding how their attraction functions, i think they should support us without understanding how our attraction works.

You don't need anyone's permission to use a label, and nobody has the right to tell you what labels you can use or not. Labels are tools available to anyone who might find them useful.
