What happens with aroace coded characters in fandoms that really annoys me:
Frodo Baggins: never involved in a relationship, loves his friends — fandom: he’s so in love with Sam, he even lets him and his family live with him
Bilbo Baggins: never married, dedicates his life to writing, adopts Frodo and loves him like a son — fandom: I ship him with Thorin so much
Sherlock Holmes: dedicated his life to his work, very loyal to his friends, never married or had a real relationship — fandom: he’s in love with Irene! He’s in love with John!
Aziraphale & Crowley: canonically ace according to the book, poster characters for a qpr — fandom: why don’t they just f**k? Why don’t they just k**s? This is queerbaiting!
There are probably more examples because it’s definitely a pattern.

Y'know, when I was younger I never understood the whole "soulmate" trope. I was basically like, "If I had a soulmate? Too bad, I would kill or just friendzone them." I would gag at the thought of having a soulmate and so I never believed in them.
That was until I found out the term AroAce. It's certainly interesting how you can grow up like this.

not be be aro/ace on main but one of my friends was ranting to me about their newest crush and as the curious person I am I asked them what falling in love felt like and they said:
“Every time I think about them my stomach does a little flutter and it just feels warm and comforting.”
personally when I have strange feelings in my stomach it’s usually because I’m sick. but I’ll take their word for it I guess

I was shitting, and I remembered how brie cheese is going extinct. I'm not sure if this is scientifically correct, so any cheese experts feel free to correct me

Interviewer: So how did the aromantic community combat against amatonarmativity?
Me: Well once we as a community realised we needed to band together and teach alloromantics that romance is not a necessity within their lives, along with how romance is socially connected with capitalism, we had a plan. *looks to camera* Isn't that right folks?

obviously you should respect the original tags on any post you reblog, like if you reblog an aroallo's post don't tag it as asexual because that's rude and erasing OPs identity (unless they say it's okay of course), but if someone makes their own post and tags it as aromantic but it's talking about sex instead of romance, that's not mistagging, and you should believe them when they say that their relationship with sex is a part of their romantic orientation, because it probably is.
not all aspecs use the SAM nor are they required to pretend to do so for your comfort. believe aspecs when they say their experiences are tied to their identity, even if it isn't the same identity you would use, I'm begging you.

I think the hardest thing about being aroace, especially if you're romance repulsed like I am, is knowing that you'll never have someone who puts you first.
Like, my best friend is THE most important person in my life. I'd drop anything for her if she needed me. I care about her more than anyone else. But I know that to her I'll never be that. And that it's the idea that romantic relationships are "so much more important and valuable than friendship" that makes its so she only has time to hang out with me maybe once a month while she can see can see her boyfriend every week.
I'm happy with being single. I'm happy with my friendships. I just wish I had at least one friend that cares about me more than anyone.

We are in an Allo / Ace relationship and our anniversary is this weekend. In relationships, there is always pressure to "fork" on your anniversary. This year, we choose cake.

The most aroace thing I've probably ever said, was "No! No! No!", when I found out that my character is supposed to be flirting with another character, when I was in a musical in 8th grade. And this was before I'd even known about the terms Asexual or Aromantic!
yep, that's probably what I'd do too! (Sorry for the late response)

hey. do whatever you want btw. it’s your identity. kiss people for fun. enjoy sex. nobody’s stopping you. being aro and/or ace doesn’t mean you have to be repulsed by romantic or sexual activities if you don’t want to.
and also! things only mean what you meant them to mean. you can have platonic sex and platonically make out with your friends. it’s true. just be sure to communicate so that everyone involved understands and you’re good.
