Reacting to Animated Marvel Shows 8/?

All right, back to the anime Avengers. All you need to know is: pretty Loki (of course the most important part), weird noses, Avengers meets Sora & co., way too fast redemption arc, and another possible incestuous ship for me whoops. Spoilers for Future Avengers 1x20 (and probably 1x19).

Bruno looks a little early Avengers (2012) Loki and I don’t know anything about his usual character design, but between his eyes and the war paint (I think) on his face, he looks a little mind-controlled. [I knew nothing that happened before ep 19 at this point, and even that I didn’t really retain, but damn I was really close to what’s happening here.]

Why do they all have to name their powers to activate them, first of all? Second of all, isn’t Loki canonically immune to this? I know this came out before Loki, but still.

Lol they recreated the live action Avengers shot and just shoehorned Wasp in there.

I hate how the only part of their face animated to move is their mouth. Like Loki begging Thor not to listen to Evil Guy No.1 would be so much more moving (literally) if the rest of his face was allowed to be expressive. Like even if they did the anime pupil vibration it would add so much more emotion.

Loki kiss him to break the mind control (sorry, I’ll try to remember to tag this as thorki, I couldn’t help myself)

Thor please do the whole giving the villain a false sense of security in thinking he’s won by raising your hammer against your brother but at the last second slamming it against Evil Guy’s skull (I’ve already forgotten his name). You’re smart enough for this to be feasible, I believe in you.

I do also like the breaking the mind control through the power of (brotherly) love, too, though

But letting Loki genuinely show remorse and apologize when really you’re not influenced by Evil Guy (because your love for your brother is already too strong, okay I’ll stop) before you smash Evil Guy’s head in is cool too. Loki probably needs to do this for character growth purposes anyway.

LMAO just saw another YouTuber talking about shifting, and once again they get all their information on tiktok. @/edvasin or something like that. I watched some of his videos before, but I didn't expect him to make one about shifting.

But at the end of the day, they get all their info from TIKTOK, an unreliable source 🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️. I don't even feel nervous or doubtful, and I didn't even get 10 minutes into it. Probably just some more bashing on shifting cause they get all their "research" from tiktok and they always talk about how everyone and their mama is shifting to hogwarts. It's too funny atp

Reacting to Animated Marvel Shows 7/?

New show, same lack of context. Let's get into this mayhem. Spoilers for Future Avengers 1x19.

Oh no this is the anime one.

Except the summary is "The Avengers team up with Loki" so nevermind, I can dig anime

Ohhh I forgot about Thor's nose

Why is he in prison??!!! [Loki, Loki is in prison, not Thor's nose]

His anime eyes, I can't!!!

This show's doing something fun called, Give both brothers green eyes for no conceivable reason. [Why has this series become Which Lokis have green eyes and which shows do I violently hate for inaccurate eye color choice alone?]

It's playing another fun game called, Let's make Loki as hot as possible, and I for one am loving that game.

The noses, though. There's still something weird about everyone's noses, though they're all different, they're all weird.

This theme doesn't go as hard as the others

All the Avengers and Marvel characters look borderline normal, and then the OCs all look like they wandered in from Kingdom Hearts or a 13-year-old's sketchpad

Why is T'Challa in a cape?? It makes him look like he invaded Batman's closet

Why are there nuclear weapons stashed in Antarctica? What?

This racist fucking reporter has the nerve to stand up at T'Challa's press conference, where he's in full Black Panther get-up for some reason, claws and all, clearly having just robbed Dr. Strange of his cape and dyed it black to match his aesthetic, and has the balls to ask the king of Wakanda himself, sometime leader of the motherfucking Avengers, if the weapons contained vibranium. Sit down, you fucking Trumper.

Oh I hate every single one of the children. [I want to make fun of them by calling them KH character names but I don't actually know enough about KH and as mentioned in the post yesterday, I only play Animal Crossing. But please know if I knew enough, I would.]

There's something so...undeserving about the villains accusing the Avengers of using "lies" and "trickery" when Loki is standing right there and had nothing to do with this little scheme.

Just let women be evil 😈

Been seeing some discussion around how the Netflix Avatar made some changes to Azula and tried to paint her in a less evil light and more as some poor child that got manipulated by her dad to be the monster she would eventually become.

And that's... Honestly a little lame imo.

Azula being a heartless monster was one of the many cool things about her, but now it feels like we're giving credit to her dad instead.

Like, she was the golden child, but she wasn't daddy's little submissive pet. A lot of what she did, she did it not because "she wanted to please daddy" but because she's just a little sh*t. Heck, she even manipulates her own father at one point, making him think Zuko killed the Avatar so she wouldn't get any blame when it was revealed he was still alive.

Ozai was the final boss, but Azula is basically the face of the show when it comes to villains. She was the bane of everyone's existence.

Having nuance and layers is nice, but sometimes I just want a lady who just loves being evil for the pettiest of reasons like wanting power, being salty for not getting what she wanted, or just because it's in her sadistic nature.

And, yeah, we have cases like Demona who you could argue is a victim of the circumstances she's in, or, again, Azula, who was practically raised to be evil, but you can't deny they clearly enjoy being bad and doing bad things to others.

Let women just be evil, and let them own their evilness.
