Hero: "I didn't want this for [Name]. I-I'm really sorry."
Villain: "Spare me your hollow condolences. I've lost [Name] because of you."
Hero: "We're both casualties of this conflict. I lost her too!"
Villain: "Don't you dare compare your losses to mine! You. This is YOUR fault! You and your pathetic sense of justice! [Name] is gone because of you, and if you think for a second I give a single fuck about this world without her on it, you're sadly mistaken. You will all burn for this."
"A hero must keep their word!" he shouted across the corridors as the door creaked open. Blood leaked from his nose, riveting down his coarse face. One eye was swollen shut and he couldn't see outward. He snarled and coughed up more of the rusty red liquid.
She looked back curiously, blonde curls cascading down her shoulders. A sly grin crept across her blemished face and she tilted her head.
"Who ever said that? I know it wasn't me." She turned her head shortly and walked out of the halls, slamming the door shut to echo throughout the large cavern.
Loud shouts and cheers erupted behind the door, casting the man in darkness once more.
French TV journalist having a hard time trying to get woman in the street to comment on Macron's latest speech yesterday
Protesters organised casserolades (aka banging on pots and pans) in front of city halls across the country at 8pm, when Macron was speaking, to symbolically drown out his voice. Later that evening, Macron was filmed singing a song with some 'random people' in a street in Paris, trying to show he can go out and meet people and have fun because protesters don't exist. The people he was singing with (members of a choir, some of whom are 'alt-right-leaning') were using a folk song app created by far-right activists that was criticised a few months ago for hosting a Spanish fascist anthem & Third Reich military marches.
The government's response was that the President "couldn't know the background of the people he met that night." Maybe if he wants to avoid being associated with the far-right (that's a big if, I know), Macron should keep in mind that with the kinds of strategies and positioning his government has adopted lately, people in the street who welcome him with open arms and are proud to be filmed with him have a higher than average likelihood of supporting fascism.
I find it so painfully heartbreaking that Solomon just...laughs off all the derision, the name-calling, and possibly even did "evil" things on purpose because it's expected of him at this point. (He had not always been like this as Thirteen pointed out before). There was a time when he was "innocent". When his soul sparkled. When it resembled the kind of soul everyone in these god forsaken (pun intended with spite) three realms seemed to associate with the ever loved MC. He's just...worryingly carefree. And because he's like that, he feels even more of a tragic character to me.
Sometimes it even seems that he himself would seemingly make up excuses on why he's hated. Oh, it's because I'm a sorcerer this. I might have won a war against Devildom single-handedly this. I have forgotten. But maybe, I did something bad, that. Hon, you were doing that to SURVIVE. You don't have to be a faultless person to deserve compassion. You don't have to be MC to deserve to be loved.
individual stills of miguel Scampering on all fours and showing off his more distinct individual movement style (that he has because of his spider-man's Similar-but-still-distinctly-Weird-and-unique powers as compared to the more-graceful Others) so that i don't have 2 keep rewinding the clip(s) to see it.
im REALLY excited to see him scuttling and skittering all over the place in the film just like he does in the comics-- and, like, seriously, Miguel Specifically being just. made Massive for some reason in his atsv design will never NOT be funny to me hes SO freakin Bouncy why did they Do That.

After months of planning Villain had finally managed to kidnap Hero.
Their heart and mind was racing. They actually got away with it!? Did they have that dramatic monologue ready? Oh the agony they were going to put Hero through!
However when they put Hero in their holding cell they didn't expect to hear out pourings of gratefulness.
Hero: I thought you were going to torture me? Why'd you take me to such a nice room?
Villain, sputtering: Nice room!? This is a dungeon! There is nothing "nice" about it!
Hero: But I have a bed! With a sheet! This is nicer than any room the agency put me in! If I didn't know any better I'd think you like me or something.

"You're worried about being left alone? By them? Are you serious with me right now? Look around, Hero. They left you to die. They offered you on a silver platter to me. I don't want you whining to me when I kill every and each one of those idiots. They had it coming."
