You never wanted to hurt anyone, but the world never gave you a choice. You did the best you could with what you had, but every innocent mistake you made was held against you when it counted, every crossroads led you down the wrong path no matter which way you went. No matter what you did, the odds were stacked against you. It wasn't fair, and you are sick and tired of being told what a monster you are for things out of your control. Well, fine. They want a monster? YOU'LL GIVE THEM A MONSTER!
Phew, this was a tough one for Yein, whose entire theme is centered around choosing kindness and love in the face of unspeakable pain and suffering. My partner described this outcome as: "Yein, if the coin kept landing on the wrong side." Now I can't get that out of my head.

Either you don't understand the concepts of good and evil, or you understand it perfectly and think it's a load of bull. Some may call you selfish, some may call you unfeeling, but you're just doing what you believe will yield the best results, plain and simple. Why bother with petty ideals of right or wrong when you can do what will actively help those you give a fuck about? Your goals may be selfish or noble or anything in between, but you will not let anyone make you feel like garbage for going after them. You couldn't care less about what people brand you as. You just care about getting shit done by any means necessary.

“Care to watch the show? You can’t stop it, so you might as well enjoy it.” B grinned, sparks in their eyes and the air.
“Oh be quiet dear, this will all be over soon.”
“You say that we’re doing something different, that we’re making the right changes to protect people, but all I see are more corpses.”
“Are you sure this is the right thing to do?”
“Oh god, oh fuck…” A crumpled to their knees, helplessly watching B’s blood pool on the floor. “What did I do?”
“I… I think we’re the monsters here.”
“Did you actually think you could save them?” B laughed in disbelief.
“People die all the time, why would you be any different?”
A looked at the sky, avoiding B’s gaze. “The night is in everyone. Hope dies like stars, happiness crashes like meteors. The night remains.”
“If you do this, heaven will not know your name.” “They will know it, and they will fear it.”
“You asked for a savior, not a saint.”
Their face was carved from the malice of millions.
“They chose me. I must carry out my duty or thousands more will die.”
“That’s enough A! We’ve tried everything, hell, nearly lost everything too. One of us will die if we keep going...” “And we let them win?” “It’s the only way we get a happy ending.”
“I’ve been waiting to do this for a long time.”
“Why are you doing this? What did I ever do to deserve this?” “Don’t be naïve. You know exactly what you’ve done.”
“You should’ve seen the look on their faces. It was delicious.”
A collapsed, thoughts swirling in a mess of confusion and betrayal. Their arm stung. Their bones ached. Their heart hurt. “What happened to you?” “Nothing happened. You became weak.”
“I don’t want to do this. But it’s the only way out.”

Velvet's Villain Arc
(I am obsessed with the way they animated Velvet's face here, it's actually a problem)
I dunno about the rest of you, but one of the best things about Velvet being the villain in Trolls Band Together is that there's no rhyme or reason why she's doing what she's doing. Velvet captured Floyd and tortured him for fame for zero reason other than her own selfishness.
In the scene where Velvet wear the shoulder pads for the first time, the filmmakers try to fool us into thinking that Velvet does these things because her and Veneer were poor when they were younger and just wanted more in life. But after that, as you all probably know, Veneer explains that they weren't poor at all, and actually lived in a good home in the suburbs with parents who had well-paying jobs, yet Velvet still continues to torture Floyd.
Nowadays every villain (especially kids' movie villains) have to have some sort of tragic backstory to explain why the villain is evil. But for Velvet there's nothing. She's just being evil for being evil, and on top of that she manipulates her twin brother into doing it with her while taking advantage of his love for her. For these reasons, this makes Velvet one of the best villains in history.
